we praise Allah Subhana Allah to Allah send blessings and salutations upon Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his household and his companions May Allah bless them. And may He bless every single one of us, I mean, my dearest mothers and sisters beautiful versus beautiful verses of surah Csaba the first part, inshallah which we will cover today, where Allah subhanho wa Taala explains how ingratitude affects our people. So he gives us things, and he expects us to be grateful. And that gratitude is primarily displayed by the worship of Allah alone.
When we worship Allah subhanho wa Taala alone, and we do not associate partners with him, and we fulfill the obligations that he has placed on our shoulders, and we abstain from the prohibitions, and we seek His forgiveness, we have displayed the first step of gratitude. So the first stage of showing gratefulness to Allah for what he has given myself or yourselves is to worship Him alone the way he wants to be worshipped. Now, this is common logic and common sense that when someone has done good to you, the bare minimum is to do what would make them happy. If you were to work for someone, and they gave you a salary at the end of every month, for example, say you were to get a few $1,000
at the end of the month, and they were to tell you throughout that month, what to do and what not to do, you would be a person who would be expected to follow what they have said, because it is part and parcel of the contract, it is part and parcel of the deal. If you were to reject what they have instructed, then perhaps you could find another job or go to someone else. May Allah subhanho wa Taala, grant us all decent jobs, and May He grant the salaries that will be sufficient for us in the dunya. And may He make us from amongst those who can earn something so that we can also survive in the era, and we can achieve eternal bliss. I mean, so my mothers and sisters, Allah says there was a
place and this story is being told to us we didn't see it, we did not see it, but we believe in it because Allah has made mention of it. There may be ruins in that particular part of the world. But for us, we didn't see the days of the days of blooming and blossoming of that particular community. Shiva is a place in the southern Arabian hemisphere, where Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
There was for the tribe of Sabah in their dwelling place, a sign, they had a dwelling place and Allah says there was for them a sign in that and that sign is for us as well because Allah is making mention of it. And the reasons why Allah makes mention of certain items are plenty. And one of them is for us to, to learn a lesson for us to take heed for us to realize and understand what the plan of Allah is, and that if it happened to them, it can and will probably happen to us. And Allah will is always always that which will be executed over and above ours. So my mothers and sisters, Allah says, two fields of gardens on the right. And on the left, we were we had given them the beauty of
this dunya they had two fields of gardens, one on the right beautiful massive, which was
full of whatever produce they had wanted, and one was on the left. They had not only the beauty or the greenery in the middle of that particular region, but at the same time the produce that came from it was so much I want to stop there for a moment mothers and sisters myself and yourselves.
What don't we have Allah gives us produce Allah gives us earnings, Allah gives us good health Allah gives us the ability to work, Allah gives us the intellect with which we think Allah gives us so much. And this is Allah, He has given us that which is close and reach, we have conveyance we have a means of getting from point A to point B, even if it means by public transport. But Allah has given us so much each one on our own level. And this Allah expects in return for that gratitude. That's all. He says. All I want is for you to be grateful. Be grateful that I've given you your health, your wealth, your children, your parents, whoever else, be grateful that I've taken away certain
things from you, because it's better for you, your patients would make you arrive at a new level of relationship with us, and so on.
So this is the last gift upon us, we look at certain things as negative but for Allah, it's never negative, it's always some opportunity for us to gain closeness to him. I want to say that again. We look at certain things as negative but for Allah, it's never negative. It's always something good and an opportunity for us to gain closeness to him a way through which Allah has chosen for us to achieve the friendship of his May Allah subhanho wa Taala consider us as His friends and may He make us from those who can realize and understand. So Allah says two fields are two gardens on the right and on the left.
They were told once they had been given those gardens, eat from the project provisions of your Lord, and be grateful to him, a good land you have, and the Forgiving Lord. So Allah is making mention of two qualities, or two things they were they were given one is a good land, they will given good land in the middle of nowhere and the produce and so on part of that. And the second thing is a forgiving load which means Allah will forgive you if you notice a few moments ago, when I spoke of part of the gratitude, I said, that you fulfill the community commands, you stay away from the prohibitions, and you seek a lot of forgiveness, because in the process of fulfilling the commands or staying away
from the prohibitions, humankind is, so we make mistakes. So in the process, we may know some of the mistakes we've made. And sometimes we may not know the mistakes we made. We've tried our best for example, to fulfill the obligations of a dress code of Salah of Hajj of zecca, whatever else it is, but whether or not our intention was as it should be, Allah knows best we try our best. For example, the concentration in Salah every one of us knows that we do not have 100% but we try some of us have at some 90 Alhamdulillah and some it might go as low as 40 Allah protect us but when we constantly ask Allah for forgiveness, we are basically saying to Allah, Allah, Allah, I tried my best, and all
my shortcomings you are the owner of forgiveness, forgive me, overlook them. And this is why last night we visited the graveyard here with some of the brothers. And the amazing thing is, I thought to myself, if it was not for the mercy of Allah, none of us would want to be buried.
It is the mercy of Allah that we all hope for we all know that it exists. And we all know that it has been felt throughout our lives. So it will definitely be felt after we die. You are alive. So my, the fact that I'm living and I'm here today is the sign of the mercy of Allah. If Allah wanted to penalize me because of my sin, I wouldn't be seated here today. And none of us would be able to achieve anything we wanted, because Allah would block it because he would have penalized us because of the sins we've committed. So my brothers and sisters, this issue of the mercy of Allah is pivotal when it comes to our Islamic belief. And when it comes to the relation with our maker, that our
knowing that Allah is most forgiving is something that keeps us going. Because people who have committed sin, say for example, those who have repented from gay behavior, this is something extreme, but it's happening. Those who have repented from gay behavior would lose hope in the mercy of Allah had it not been made mention of not losing hope, no matter what has happened, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Imagine if Allah did not make mention of how great His mercy was. So many verses are filled with different descriptions of the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala primarily to give us that hope, in His mercy. So here Allah is saying that we have given you something and we would like you,
firstly, to eat from it, enjoy it, enjoy, have the produce, make use of it, but at the same time, remember, you have a forgiving load, so make use of that as well by seeking His forgiveness. So like I was saying, if someone has been entrapped in a sin for some time, and then they were to ask Allah for forgiveness, knowing that Allah is most forgiving, it is definitely a strong a powerful lead towards goodness and a new relation with Allah subhanho wa Taala. But if a person does not know of the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala they will feel depressed because sins visit you sometime later on in your life to haunt you. May Allah protect us, the only way of saving ourselves from that
haunting is to ask Allah forgiveness. So if a person has committed a sin, don't ever think that someone that Allah has forgotten it, no, Allah knows about it. But when we seek forgiveness, then Allah wipes it out completely, then it's forgotten and it's, Allah definitely knows it, but he makes the angels and you know, forget and he removes it from the Book of Records, and sometimes he actually swaps it for good deeds. If we have followed that up with brilliant deeds. May Allah grant us goodness. So if it was not for the hope in the mercy of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, we would all be depressed souls waiting to be cast into the Hellfire, but because we have so much hope in the
mercy of Allah, we don't mind being buried. Allahu Akbar, Allah grant us easy now graves, I mean, so my mothers and sisters, Allah says, eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to him.
A good land you have
and forgiving Lord, when Allah says now, instead of that they chose to do the opposite. Now why did Allah make mention of this in the surah? And why is the whole surah named after these people? Because it's a lesson for me and you, when Allah tells us and reminds us constantly do this and don't do this and do this and don't do this. There are two things that happen. We are three things that happen. The first is
let me read it differently. When Allah has instructed us what to do and what not to do. There are two things that happen we either do that which we which we are supposed to do or we don't.
We do what we are supposed to do We ask Allah to accept it from us. And we asked for forgiveness for the shortcomings, like I mentioned. And if we don't do it, there is one of two reasons. One is, we either don't do it because of our human weakness knowing that it is part of the instruction and that we are committing a sin. If that's the case, there is still a little bit of hope, because we would ask for forgiveness, knowing that we did something wrong. So say for example, a person is supposed to dress in a specific way. And for example, if they don't do that, knowing that they are committing a sin or they are doing something wrong, in that case, there is still hope for them in that they
would ask Allah for forgiveness, and perhaps one day they would turn and Allah subhanho wa Taala would know that they considered the law of Allah as final. So they are not defying Allah subhanho wa Taala. But their human weaknesses, making them delay, or sometimes making them do otherwise. May Allah forgive us all. And May He grant a steadfastness. But the worst of the lot is the one who defies Allah, he or she knows that this is the rule, but they say I'm not bothered. I'm not interested. And this is why, on Wednesday evening or Thursday evening, one of the brothers was asking me saying that, you know, when we were woken up for Salatin, so someone in the family would
come and say, get up, get up for Salah Are you not going to get up for Salah? So if the person says no, I'm not, oh, that's a dangerous statement. That's a very very dangerous statement. That's like telling a lie just go away.
So rather than when you wake someone up, just tell them it's time for Salah to see the difference because you don't want them to utter a word of God from their mouths.
It's a very serious issue but it's something that we need to learn. So when you're getting people up for sada tell them it's time for Salah, it's time for Salah, get up, but don't tell them, you're not going to get up for budget. Don't you want to get up for Salah? Because the minute they say no, they've arrived at a new level of enmity with Allah subhanho wa Taala May Allah protect us all. And may Allah grant us in our offspring steadfastness, especially with Salah. And believe me, one of the strongest links you can have with Allah subhanho wa Taala is the pre dawn time. May Allah protect us and may grant us the ability to forsake our biddings Allah has described this even in sort of such
depth, that the true believers they are the ones whose sides,
forsake their biddings in order for them to call out to Allah subhanho wa Taala with hope and fear, may Allah grant us goodness, and may He accepted from us. So Allah says in verse number 16, but they turned away, refusing What did they refuse to do? They refused to acknowledge that they were given the goodness from Allah, they refuse to worship Allah, they refuse to seek His forgiveness and so on. So Allah says, so we sent upon them the flood of the dam, say larrin.
It is a famous flood that is mentioned in books of history as well. So Allah subhanho wa Taala says, We sent to them the floods, a certain type of a flood. And it says here, it was caused by a break in their dam. Another meaning is the overwhelming flood. So say that it could mean the overwhelming flood, so Allah is saying we sent it upon them.
And we replaced their two fields of gardens, with gardens of bitter fruit,
and something of sparse load trees. So let's make made mention of bitter fruit at timber risks, and something of sparse load trees. So Allah is some Anahata. Allah is drawing our attention to the fact that when they were given so much because of their ingratitude, overnight, we swapped it with the opposite. Allahu Akbar. This is why my mother and sisters, no matter what we have, no matter what we have, we need to know that Allah can take it away any time. We've known of people who've said that I've got enough to last three generations and three years later, they had nothing.
Allahu Akbar, why it was the plan of Allah somehow, some way Allah His plan replaced what they had with something else, and they no longer had it. So this is Allah. This is why we need to be grateful to Allah by obeying His instruction. And by doing so wholeheartedly my mothers and sisters we have no option but to worship Allah, he's our maker, we are going to go back to him He made us in the first place. All you need to do is visit those whose who've lost their loved ones or visit for example.
Or, for example, you would learn if you've lost a loved one or visit the graveyard in the case of the men. Where May Allah Subhana Allah, Allah grant us a lesson.
And we need to think of how good looking these people were in their young days and how powerful they were, how wealthy they were, where they know, where are they Where did they go? While I'm going there? I have no option but to go there. What law here I'm going to go there and so will you. So when we go there what will happen, what will what will help us
but may Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us the ability
to ponder deeply and to do something about it. So Allah says, and we repaid them because they disbelieved. Look at the word used
valleca josina home Bhima cafaro wahala, New Jersey, Illinois, California, and we repaid them because of their disbelief because they just believed and do We thus repay except the ungrateful, which means do we repay anyone in that way except those who are ungrateful. This would mean that if a person is ungrateful, they will be repaid in the same way. And I don't want to pause there for a moment, but I would like everyone to think what exactly Allah subhanho wa Taala is saying here, he's saying that we did this. We did this to them because they were ungrateful they disbelieve, and would we ever do this to anyone except those who are ungrateful.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. And the word Cofer refers to disbelief as well as in gratitude, both things are connected to the same word that Allah says in the next verse. And we placed between them and the cities which we had blessed, many visible cities, and we determined between them the distance of journey, saying travel between them by night or by day in safety. Now, this is a beautiful verse where Allah subhanho wa Taala,
is telling us what he did for them. He says, We placed the intermediate settlements at calculated distance for the convenience of travelers, which would mean if they they had their cities, so between one and the other city, they were these little settlements that were placed so beautifully, that when the traveler traveled, he would enjoy the journey by day or by night, not only in safety and security, but even in hospitality, and in so much more. So this shows us that when we are living in a way that the distances between us and where we would like to go become shorter, because of the beautiful settlements between, then it's a gift of Allah. But if the distances are made long,
because there is nothing in between, or it becomes difficult to think about going there, then Subhana Allah, it is something that we would be grateful Had it been the other way around. So Allah subhanho wa Taala, Allah has blessed us, bless them in this particular way. And Allah says, you know, before we mentioned what Allah says, sometimes in our societies and communities we live and in our midst, they are a few other homes of some other Muslims, or some other good people around us, that is a gift of Allah, be grateful, thank Allah make use of that. And remember to connect up one, you know, sometime, we need to connect up with one another sometime. And we need to make sure that
we've thanked Allah for that gift. Because if we were alone, all alone in one society and community, it would not be easy to live as Muslim.
But when you have several homes, or you have a little suburb where there are many Muslim mean, it makes it much easier, but it brings about some other pressures. And it brings about some other form of perhaps negativity, but the negativity is far less than the positives that come out of it. So sometimes people say, I don't want to stay near this area. Why all these people? You know, I just look at them and I get depressed. That's one thing. So now we go out to live in some weird place far away. We all on our own day, and we so happy but then when our children grow up slightly older, what happens?
Who do they mix with? And then we start thinking, yeah, I should have stayed there, it would have been better and so on. I know of people who've told me we shifted country we went somewhere far away. Now our daughters of marriage age, where do we get her married? And I said, Well Subhan Allah make dua to Allah and go and try your best to Han Allah, may Allah grant us ease and may He get our daughters married to the best of people. I mean,
so in fact, may you get us all married to the best of people, so hon Allah May Allah subhanho wa Taala bless us in our marriages, and may He make us from those who appreciate society and community although, yes, it is our duty to stay away from Mischief Makers and trouble mongers and so on. But at the same time, make use of those who are good around you and make use of them in a way that they consider you good as well. Because sometimes we make use of people who are good in a way that they really think were a pain because we tested them so much. So give people their freedom. Don't irritate them much. If you visit them, do not prolong a visit, especially in this day and age. let
the people know what time you will come Let it be a time of convenience and visit them for a short period of time. I would rather visit someone for 10 minutes 15 minutes and let them tell me please stay please stay then for me to sit there for three hours and they're talking in the background. When is he going to go? May Allah protect us? The next time I found them they'll say we going out they will make an outing just because I was inning. That's why I love
projectors, Allah grant us goodness it's something beautiful What a beautiful teaching of Islam don't need to take people you know consider them if you find someone just always lovely come, how are you What's happening? How's the family, I just want to find out what's happening and put the phone down.
That is such a brilliant reassuring call, believe me, you send someone a message I just I just sent you a message to say Salaam that's all I thought of you and I thought of saying a short to offer you those type of messages are now very rare because people only call you and they need you. And they want something when they really, you know, they so for example in need of whether it's company or whatever else it is, and then they they want to come and sit by you and what have you then it becomes such that they consider you a friend of convenience. May Allah subhanho wa Taala make us genuine friends and not just friends of convenience. So here Allah subhanho wa Taala says, we repay
them because they disbelieved and do We thus repay except the ungrateful. And we placed between them and the cities, which we had blessed many visible cities, and we determined between them the distance of journey, saying travel between them, by night or by day in safety. So Allah granted them safety of travel, that's a gift of Allah. Then Allah says, but insolently they said, Oh, Lord, lengthen the distance between our journeys.
And they wronged themselves. So they became people who now wanted the opposite. Like, like I said, moments ago, so we shifted out and we went to stay 50 kilometers away from everybody else you enjoy for a little while, and then you realize, hey, wait, am I What am I doing? What's going to happen to my children? What about the community around what type of people are they and so on. So this is one of two options. Either you go back or you start inviting people to come and live in your neighborhood. And within a few years, it's going to be not back to square one, but you've created something similar. The only difference is perhaps you might have been able to choose your neighbors,
you know, my mothers and sisters. There is an Arabic saying beautiful one, I'll djaro kubla de
when the people speaking Urdu and majority hear that they think it means a fat person is developed out of eating. Now, it doesn't mean algebra kubla de What that means is you need to choose your neighbors before you choose the house when you want to buy a house before going into check how nice it is. Just search your neighbors and see if there are good people in your vicinity, then buy the house. This is important because the upbringing of your children, your progeny, everything that's going to happen is going to happen based on your job based on your neighbors and your neighbors make up a neighborhood. So if you want to live in a neighborhood where there are brilliant people, you
will enjoy the privileges of being in a good neighborhood. But if you'd like to choose a beautiful house, just because it was cheap and nice and good to stay, and so on, and yet your job is actually those are made up of those who are not even be fitting to be spoken with. In that particular case we made a big mistake. So here Allah subhanho wa Taala is saying something else that these people they asked Allah to, to create bigger distances now either it was because they wanted to enjoy the greenery of the field or whatever it was, or either it was for negative reasons that they were so engrossed in what they were given that they didn't even one to associate with others and so on. So
Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
they said, Oh our Lord lengthen the distance between our journeys, and they wrong themselves.
So we made them narrations and dispersed them in total dispersion indeed, in that are Signs for every one patient and grateful Now what did I just say? What did Allah subhanho wa Taala say? We made them narrations Do you know what's the meaning of that? We made them history. We made them history. That means we destroyed them completely. And now people are just talking about them. So they were in existence they were granted the best then they were ungrateful. So Allah says, We gave them a chance then we destroyed them now they are only narrations. Now they are only part of history people talk about today we are speaking about them. Why? Because they are narrations. So Allah says
we made them narrations that stories related to others as lessons or examples. And we disperse them in total dispersion, which means they will after having been a good community, they became dispersed in totality. And my mothers and sisters, one of the means of being ungrateful for good neighborhood is as I said, putting pressure on your neighbors undue pressure. So when people come to you and irritate you regarding something you're not comfortable with, and they keep on doing it for a year, two years, five years, what will happen there will come a time when you a good person would like to shift out of the community because you are being pressurised into things that you do not want to do
and you are not a part of you don't want to be a part of. So that is something very interesting that we should not be
pressurizing our neighbors to do things that are, you know, such that would lead them to want to leave their whole society and community, if we call them towards goodness call them but without undue pressure. You know, in a beautiful way, there are so many ways to call someone to read Salah for example. One is by expressing the virtue and perhaps tiptoeing slightly towards the direction of the type of penalization. Allah has prepared for those who don't fulfill their Salah. But another way is every time you look at them, you say you're going to the fire, you're going to burn, you're going to this, you're going to that, in that case, they probably leave the neighborhood because if
five, six people tell them that they'll say goodbye, I'm going, where are we going? We're going to live closer to the church, they were nobody's going to trouble us. Allahu Akbar, may Allah safeguard us, may Allah protect us this has happened.
Not very far from us. May Allah subhanho wa Taala, grant us goodness, and may He make us from those who are assets to our own societies and communities in a beautiful way. And remember, you can associate with those whom you would like to associate with and you can choose not to associate with those whom you do not want to associate with, to the degree that politely you can tell them listen, my sister, please don't visit my home again, as much as I love you for the sake of Allah. But I need to protect myself from shadeland. And every time you come here, something goes wrong, you need to be blunt, sometimes, that's a beautiful way of them knowing that there's something wrong with me, even
if they whisper and gossip about you afterwards behind, you might want to choose a better way perhaps but sometimes, as they say Afro della lk. You know, sometimes the final medication is the most harsh of it. So if certain things haven't worked, and things are getting out of hand, once or twice in your life, you've got to be a little bit harsh. You've got to come across like you haven't come across before because you need to really make sure people don't do that which will be trampling over your own rights. Allah protect us. So it's not islamically wrong to tell someone who's knocked on your door to go away. Allah says in Surah to know what kill Allah como g o fougere. Who as
Lancome when you are told, after knocking on the door of someone to go away, you should go away. It's better for you, Allah.
I'll try that the next time someone visits a lot.
Now I won't, that's just a joke.
But the point being raised is you have the right to tell someone look, you're not welcome at my home just finished in a beautiful way. Love awkward, I think we are far more hypocritical than that. We'd rather say welcome, welcome and introducing,

So Allah subhanho wa Taala says here,
and he believes had already confirmed through them his assumption. So they followed him, except for a party of believers, they were just a small group of believers who did not follow at least the rest of them followed a belief. And so Allah says, He confirmed through them either speaking of the people of Saba or mankind in general, his assumption that mankind could readily be misled by him. Now, this verse is telling us that all men do not let a police fulfill his assumption that we are easily misled by him, by being misled by him. So don't allow a police to mislead you. That's what this verse is saying to us, because he believes had confirmed through those people, his his
assumption that it was easy to mislead men. So they followed him except for a party of believers. And this is an exception, which will always be the case because Allah has always made it clear that he believes his followers will be made up of a lot of kind besides those who truly believe in Allah subhanho wa Taala, they will never ever be able to be under the spell of a police or under his particular plan. Then Allah says, and he had over them no authority, except which means a police had over them no authority, except it was decreed that we might make evidence, who believes in the hereafter from who is in doubt regarding it.
And your load is over all things, a guardian. So now verse number 21, is telling us that he believes actually has not been given authority over us, but we choose out of our free will to follow him. And that's Allah, Allah decree obviously, in the sense that Allah subhanho wa Taala has plan in order to know who is true in their belief and who is not true. So my brothers and sisters, when we have something good in front of us to be done, it bleeds doesn't have control over us, but he whispers and it's our choice to follow him or not. And if we choose to follow Him, we've definitely wronged ourselves. So Allah is telling us don't follow him. And remember, if you believe correctly and you
understand who is Allah, who you are and where you are going, you will not be able to follow your bliss. And if you dilly dally a little bit and happen to slip here and there.
You will immediately seek Allah's forgiveness and come back on the track. You know, it's like a person, for example, who slipped and fell and then gets up and starts walking again, they have hope to arrive at their destination. But when a person slips and falls, and then they start digging a deeper hole and going deeper in the heading in the wrong direction, like someone whose car breaks down, and then they sit and they say, you know what, I don't want to travel anymore, my car's broken down. Let me now You know, leave the car here and put up a camp and so on, you're not going to get to your destination. So the dunia is actually a passing place. It is not an eternal abode. So in
this passing place where we are passing for 6070 years, we'd rather prepare for the eternal life than to get stuck in bogged down way our vehicle had a blowout and put up our eternal 10th day Oh, thinking it's going to be an eternal 10th May Allah subhanho wa Taala protect us. This is why my brothers and sisters I
have learned a lot by seeing the old people frail, who can barely walk. And I tell myself, you know, they were probably more powerful, more good looking more wealthy, more this more that than I am today, in the peak of my life, Allahu Akbar. But if Allah takes me away prior to me getting to that age, then Allah has taken me away, before I even had the time to think that now I'm old and I'm frail. May Allah grant me mercy and yourselves as well. And if Allah gave me the chance to get to the frail age, I will need to realize that
all my energies are gone, everything is gone. What ever since I've committed are already written next to my name, Allah forgive me and all of us. And at the same time, I am now so old and invalid, that I have no option but to prepare for the day when I meet with Allah because the people of my age have all passed away. Now I'm the last one. Imagine that feeling if you don't have a man is very depressing. Say you are 90 years old and all those whom you grew up with are gone. And people say no, this is the last one of their age Come let's go meet them. Let's go meet them. And you busy thinking when I was small, I never even obeyed alive, Miss Salah for so many years, I never even did
this. I was a person who couldn't even give up you know, Bieber and all these other people. And I was such and such and whatever else. You know, the only point of goodness is the fact that we have hope in the mercy of Allah. That's it. There's no other point of goodness. We have hope in the mercy of Allah and we are still breathing. So as old as we are, we will then be hopefully preparing for the day we meet with Allah because whether you depressed or you're not, you still have to die. So you'd rather die with a smile hoping in the mercy of Allah than to die depressed, clinging to dear life, you know, Allahu Akbar. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us goodness, and may He open our
doors in such a way that we lead a beautiful life that can be a shining example, for those to follow. And may Allah take us to paradise through His mercy? May he overlook our shortcomings? I mean, so mothers and sisters, Allah says,
and he had over them, no authority. We've already read that verse And Allah subhanho wa Taala says at the end of the verse And your Lord is a guardian over all things. Allah is the guardian. Allah knows Allah protects Allah is the one. He is the inevitable Allahu Akbar. Then Allah says, ce O Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Tell them
call out to those you claim as deities besides Allah call out to them.
Let's see. They do not possess an atom's weight of ability in the heavens or on the earth. And they do not have there in any partnership with him. No is there for him from amongst them any asst those whom you call out to besides a lot, none of them help Allah in any way. nor are they a partner with Allah in anything, nor do they have the ability to do even an atom's weight of anything in the heavens or on the earth. So why do you call out to them? This verse is very, very powerful warning us all. Never, ever call out to anyone besides Allah Subhana Allah to Allah in worship, worship is only and solely rendered to Allah subhanho wa Taala. The dunya can call you a deviant or whatever
they want, you need to remember you will only call out to your maker, those who do not know this, they have not read the Quran. That's why they don't know this. The minute you read the Quran and you've read it, meaning you will realize that the most important aspect of existence is to call out only to your maker and worship Him alone, without associating any form of partnership even in the form of a prophet or an angel or a stick or a grave or a saint or a stone or us or a tree or an animal or anything else. Nothing nobody zero besides Allah subhanho wa Taala It is Allah and Allah alone and we will die on that condition of worshipping Allah alone. Like I said, Those who do not
know this, they only do not know it because they have not
read the Quran and that's a challenge.
If anyone is doubting this, it's because they have not read the Word of Allah in a language that they understand. This is why we say foolish is the person who dies without having read the Quran from cover to cover in a language that they understand. They have no answer to Allah the day they die nothing. And intercession does not benefit with him meaning with Allah except for one whom he permits, like Muhammad Sallallahu sallam, he will have the power to intercede on behalf of members of his oma by the word of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And there are other groups of people who will have the power to intercede on behalf of
certain categories of people by the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala through his permission, but it is through the permission of Allah subhanho wa Taala that doesn't make us people who are required to worship those who have who will be given the power to intercede. We still worship Allah alone. And we ask Allah to grant us the intercession of those. We ask Allah to grant us the intercession of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam We ask Allah Subhana Allah to grant us His mercy and to open the doors of paradise for us all.
So Allah says, When terror is removed from their hearts, they will say to one another, what has your Lord said? They will say the truth and He is the Most High the grand Allahu Akbar. This is now being making mention of something that will happen later on where Allah subhanho wa Taala says
Well, Allah subhanho wa Taala says at a certain point, the people will be asking one another, what did your Lord say? Because now they will have seen everything manifest in front of them in the era. And they will say,
What did your Lord say? And they will respond, he definitely said the truth, and He is the Most High and the grand. So what Allah has told us is the truth. And Allah is telling us through this verse, that whatever we revealed to you is definitely the truth. And you will bear witness that it is the truth when you see and you will definitely see so rather we adopt it from now and rather we discipline ourselves in accordance with what Allah subhanho wa Taala. One once and in accordance with that which would make him happy. May Allah subhanho wa Taala be happy with us. This is why Allah says say, who provides for you from the heavens and the earth say it is Allah And indeed We
owe you either upon guidance or in clear error. This is a beautiful verse inshallah, we will start with it next week, if Allah gives us the ability to do so, we probably will start with verse number 24, of the same surah by the will of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, may Allah grant us goodness, my mothers and sisters, before I end, there is a little booklet that I have brought in. Obviously some of it might not be directly relevant in your lives, but it would definitely be a lesson for us all. So as you're leaving, you can take one book each we don't have many of them.
You can take one book each and we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant us benefit like I said, you can let maximum number of people benefit from it. It's a golden line.
