Mufti Menk – Don’t Forget The Tests Of Yusuf AS
AI: Summary ©
The speaker discusses the struggles of a slave named Jesus who was sold and ruled by certain people. Jesus was eventually replaced by Allah and his brothers came back to his position as leader. The speaker argues that even bigger tests in a row can lead to failure and loss of momentum.

Remember, Yusuf or Joseph, may peace be upon
him, alaihis salatu wasalam.
What happened to him? He was tested, one
test after the other. He was put into
the well. He was taken out by certain
people. He was sold as a slave. He
was then jailed, and one after the other.
Then, when the goodness came in his direction,
it also came one after the other. He
was made one of the leaders, he was
made in charge, and his brothers came back,
and the family was reunited.
At times, some narrations say, almost 40 years
later. Allahu Akbar. Look at the test of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
One
test, 2nd test,
3rd test, 4th test, all in a row.
Nowadays with us, we are so weak. When
we have 3 tests in a row, we
quickly rush to the ulema and say, I
think someone did some black magic on me.
May Allah protect us.
That's the weakness of iman. If that's what
we think, then really we have lost the
plot, to be honest with you. Those are
tests. If Allah
could test the best with even bigger tests,
who are we? May Allah
help us insha'Allah.
May He make us from those who can
endure. May He make us realize that when
you are going through difficulty,
it is actually a bigger examination
for a higher certificate,
for closeness to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
