Joining.
If I can have all the brothers move
closer so that way you can see the
screen. And, sisters, if you'd like to come
out into the main hall that'd be great.
We're gonna start off tonight's program with a
recitation of the Quran. We have Hafiz Albi
who will be reciting a short,
short, short,
surah of the Quran or a little bit
of the Quran, and then we'll get our
program started.
For that recitation.
Usually around this time of the year,
there's a,
a mental illness or an actual disease that
has been categorized
as FOMO.
FOMO meaning the fear of missing out.
And this time of the year,
FOMO kicks in big time.
Right? Where people start posting pictures of
themselves in a haram.
For those of us that are here in
America, it's like,
Right? You're making me feel jealous.
And that's that kind of jealousy is a
halal jealous. Why? Because you want them to
do it
and you want to, you know,
be there yourselves.
And it's called a.
But then, the question comes
that
what should a person do
who is here in America? Who's at home?
Who's not performing Hajj?
Are these 10 days
the same as any other days?
Or is there any significance? Or is there
something that we should do
to maximize and utilize
these special days Allah subhanahu wa'ala talks about
in the Quran. And Allah subhanahu wa'ala talks
about these days multiple times.
The verse that Hafiz alibi read was wal
fajr walayalinasha.
The Allah subhanahu wa'anhu takes oath of the
daybreak, wal fajr, the morning time, and then
he says, walayalin
asha, and I take oath about from the
10 nights.
And these 10 nights that Allah subhan takes
oath of, he particularly calls out these 10
days, and say that these 10 days, Allah
subhan takes an oath and says, these are
unique days. And we're gonna talk about some
different hadith of the Prophet salallahu alaihi wa
sallam.
And the hadith of the prophet salallahu alaihi
wasallam
about these 10 nights are actually so strong
that it makes you feel like, wait.
Why haven't I heard of these hadith before?
Or why hasn't there been so much emphasis
put on these 10 days?
Now,
let's start off
the first thing.
The first thing rasoolah asallahu alaihi wa sallamu
hadees he says
that Allah
hasten and rush to performing your hajj.
Especially
those of us that haven't performed hajj, and
he starts Finish off his hadees by saying,
why? Because a lot Nobody knows what will
happen tomorrow.
And I think the past 2 years have
taught us this very well.
There are people that made intention to go
to Hajj in 2020,
but this year when Hajj is open, they're
no more.
And so many people wanted to go hajj,
or so many people didn't perform their hajj,
but now
the opportunity isn't there.
And this is why the prophet salallahu alaihi
wa sallam says, rush to it, perform hajj
as soon as possible.
You know,
in our
Monday youth halakah, we're talking about
how usually people think of Hajj that my
parents have performed Hajj or my grandparents
have performed Hajj.
And Hajj has kind of
gained a stigma to not the young generation
but to older generation.
Whereas
it couldn't be any
more wrong. Why? Because Hajj isn't only for
it erases all the sins in between.
You perform umrah, and then you perform another
umrah, and all the sins that you may
have done in between, allah subhanahu wa sallam
washes that away.
And then the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says
a Hajj which is accepted.
There is no reward
for it except for jannah.
If you have a Hajj which is accepted
Now the question comes up, what is an
accepted Hajj?
Another hadith prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam says
that man Hajj al bayt whoever does Hajj
of this house
and
they don't speak
of that which is, you know, immoral and
they don't commit sins,
the lost, subhanahu wa ta'ala, returns him back
home the day that they're like the day
that the mother gave them birth.
Now, in other hadith, rasoolallahu alaihi wa sallam
says, a person who has the capability to
perform Hajj.
Financially,
you're sound. You have the money.
This year financially, the money the
the the prices shot up. It's like, I
think this year it was $17,000.
Some of the package showed 66,000
but then at the end of all the
add ons, you're at 15, 16, $17,000.
But the prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam, he says
that whoever has the means to perform Hajj,
you have that money sitting in your account
and you're healthy.
And this is for anybody
that reaches
the age of maturity.
Not that once you have a house, not
that once you have a car, once you
have a once you have a family. But
once you reach the age of maturity,
you have the wealth,
you have the health,
you can take the days off from
work, but yet a person does not.
And the hadith carried on. This is a
very scary hadith when it comes to Hajj.
And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam usually does
not do this.
Rasoolallahu alaihi wasallam, he was sent as rahmatalalamin,
a mercy to mankind.
And he usually doesn't mention things that are
so intense, but rasoolallahu alaihi wasallam says a
person who has the means,
but yet they don't perform hajj,
and let's say something were to happen to
them. Allah forbid.
If something were to happen to them,
then Allah subhanahu does not care if they
die as a Christian or as a Jew.
A very strong hadith.
And this is why the prophet
here says, hasten
to Hajj.
Don't wait until you become old.
Because if you want that change in your
life,
that change in your life shouldn't come when
you're 60 years old, but that change in
your life should come to you in your
twenties thirties.
So that you can then
ride that wave out.
A person lives their life the way they
wanted to, and then when they're 60 years
old, they go to perform Hajj.
Now they want to change.
But the prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam here is
teaching us that rush and hasten to Hajj.
Now,
with that out of the way, so the
first thing that we talked about is that
if you have the capability,
make your intention from now. Next year, Bismillah,
make your intention.
But the main topic for today was
for those of us that are not going
to Hajj, what should you do?
What are your responsibilities
as a person
in these
10 days of Zul'jidja?
And we'll start off with a quick list
and I'll break each one of these down.
We'll talk we'll talk to you about fasting
in these 10 days,
and in particular fasting on the day of
Arafah,
avoiding sin,
and doing dhikr.
Then in these 10 days or in this
portion of these 10 days are a special
takbirat,
A special praise of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And then we
have which is a sacrifice of Qurbani.
And then on the day of Eid, there
are certain sunnah of rasoolallahu alaihi wa sallam
that we should follow. And these are This
is an overview inshallah what we'll be talking
about.
Fasting in these 10 days of Hajj.
These 10 days of Dhulhijjah.
The prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam in one hadith
he narrates Abu narrated by Abu Hurairatuhan.
That rasoolah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says that
there is
no days
that the worship of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
is desired more
than the 10 days of Dhulhijjah.
You know, throughout the whole year,
there's no days that you can worship Allah,
and it's beloved to Allah like the 10
days of Dhulhijjah.
The 10 days that we're in now.
Then the prophet salallahu alaihi wasalam says, the
fast of each of these days
are equal to a whole year.
30
days in the month of Ramadan, then the
6 days of Shawwal, and that equals to
10 times
for each one, and you have a 360
for the whole year. This one fast, the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says, in these
10 days any single fast that you keep,
it is equal to
one full year.
And then the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says,
and worshiping
in each of these nights
are equivalent to the worship of
Laylatul Qadr.
Had this narrated by imam. And
Laylatul Qadr we know,
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala What do you know
about Laylatul Qadr?
It's more valuable and the reward is more
than
a 1000 months
which equals to 80 years,
and the prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam in this
one hadith is now saying that
any of these 10
days
if you worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
and of course there are a lot of
cheat codes to worship and get the reward
of the full night. The very famous hadith
where the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says,
whoever
reads Isha salah with jamaat,
They get reward of worshiping half the night.
And then you follow Fajr salah with jamat,
then you get the reward of the full
night.
So if any of these 10 days you
minimum
Fajr and Isha with jamat,
And then on top of that, if you
can add some tahajjud,
and tahajjud doesn't mean that you wake up
early before fajr but even if you pray
after isha salah, that's sufficient as well.
But here Rasool Allah as salah once again
is saying that look, if you fast any
of these 10 days, you get the reward
of the whole year. And if you worship
Allah subhanahu wa'ala throughout the night, in any
of these 10 days, you get the reward
of laluzukadr.
Equal to the worship of Layl al Zukadr.
And again, this hadith is narrated by Imam
Tabi.
Now,
fasting in these days, Rasool Allahu alaihi wa
sallam,
he would fast the 9 days of Dhul
Hijjah.
And of course the 10th day would be
the day of Eid, and the day of
Eid is the day of celebration.
So we wouldn't fast the day of
Eid.
But the prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam,
he would fast these 9 days, and then
he would fast the 3 white days which
is
14, 15, 16.
And then on top of that, the prophet
salallahu alaihi wasalam would fast every Monday
and every
Thursday.
And these were the these were called the
sunnah fast
14, 15, 16
of the lunar calendar, and then you have
the yearly
which were the 9 days of Dhul Hijjah.
And this is how the prophet salallahu alayhi
wasalam is basically teaching us that if you
can break down your year,
it's not much,
you will learn to control your desires.
You will learn to build consciousness of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Imam Nawirahu Thulalayhi when he
talks about the 10 days of fasting, 10
days of Surhijayhi says that fasting these days
are highly recommended.
Don't take it lightly. The reward is great,
but the closest to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
is furthermore.
Now,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in the Quran he
says,
In these days, don't oppress yourself.
And oppressing yourself of course is
by committing sin.
You know, we usually talk about that when
a person does good deeds,
your hasanat,
they bring you closer to Allah.
Every time that you praise Allah, it brings
you closer to Allah. Every time you read
some Quran, it brings you closer to Allah.
Every time that you show kindness to somebody,
it brings you closer to Allah. Every time
you control your anger it brings you closer
to Allah.
But then the same situation is turned around.
Every time you commit a sin
it pushes you spiritually
further away from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Now, when I say further away from Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, it doesn't mean that Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala doesn't love you anymore.
It means that your thoughts,
your attention
is away from Allah
because of the darkness of the sins.
And here what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells
us that these days the reward The prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said the reward is
bumped up
At the same time
for not utilizing that
and committing sin, you can imagine that the
sin is also bumped up.
And that's why when a person goes to
Hajj,
the people, some of the scholars of the
past, they would go to Makkah, and they
would spend the least amount of time and
they'll leave Makkah right away.
And when they were asked, why do you
do this? They said that the reward is
so great, but
if I were to commit a sin
in these holy lands,
then the sin must be multiplied as well.
Why? Because
of the sanctity of these of the place.
Likewise, in the sanctity of this time,
a person should be
sure that they avoid any type of sin,
any type of zulum on themselves,
disobedience to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Now the reality is that, alhamdulillah, we spent
a
month
in complete devotion to Allah Subhanahu Wa'ala just
2 months ago in the month of Ramadan.
So we have that momentum or that, you
know, muscle memory.
It hasn't been too long.
And if you try to leave sins, it's
still kind of, you know,
you're still kinda used to it.
And that's why in these 10 days, a
very important part is that person Allah is
more than that, again, clearly says in the
Quran
that in these days,
don't
oppress yourselves.
Now when we talked about fasting, one of
the fasting that we said in particular was
fasting on the day of alafa,
which inshallah
will be a week from today
on 9th of Ljudija.
So inshallah, on
the next Saturday will be our Eid salah.
It will be the day of Eid.
Eid salah in the frisco community we'll be
having at 7
AM.
7 AM.
Let that sink in.
7 AM.
Alhamdulillah.
That's the only one.
That's the only one.
Now, before you all, like, get upset that
why are we doing, you know, at 7
AM, the reason before this is that,
in Charlotte, this year we're having Eat a
Law at the Rough Rider Stadium
so that we can accommodate
everybody.
Usually what happens is there's lines waiting and
last eitzilah there were 3, but then we
added a 4th. And then there's still people
and there are people praying out in the
hallway.
So what we plan to do is, InshaAllah,
so that we can accommodate everybody,
have it at the stadium, and the stadium
was because it's a Saturday.
If it was on Sunday, the stadium was
open.
But because it's Saturday, it's only available in
the morning. And on top of that, our
intention is that those people, those brothers and
sisters that like to go and perform their
locally,
they now have time to do so.
So usually people go, you know, an hour
or 2 away to to do their sacrifice.
You have enough time then to come back
and enjoy Eid. And if we had Eid
salah at 9, 10 o'clock, you get out
of there 11 o'clock. Then you go 2
hours and then you come back your whole
day of Eid is gone. So that's why
inshallah we'll be having our Eid
7 AM.
1 Eid salah 7 AM. Roughrider Stadium. Again,
you pray your fajr salah,
get ready, and meet us there.
Which means on 9th of Dhul Hijjah, which
is next Friday,
these are the virtues of fasting on that
day.
Now,
I know fasting nowadays is actually very difficult.
What time does
start? Extremely early. Someone's at 4:40. I say
extremely early.
4:40,
starts.
And Maghrib is
845.
So you have
a good 16, 17, almost 18 hours of
fast.
But if a person can do this on
the 9th would hit you. Remember we said
earlier, any of these days you get the
reward of a full year. But if on
top of that
you do it next Friday,
not only will you do iftar here with
us and inshallah we'll have a community iftar.
Right? So inshallah next Friday
we'll have a community iftar or the program
will start around 8 o'clock. We have Sheikh
Abdul Nasir,
Jangdad that will be coming and speaking. We'll
have
a dua, which is dua of the day
of alfa. And then we'll have iftar here
as a community.
But these are all the other benefits and
rewards that you get for fasting on that
day.
Now,
fasting on the day of Alafa,
it
washes away
sins of 2 years. Previously we said any
day, 1 year.
But on the day of Arafa,
2 years,
the year before,
and the year coming.
And this comes from the hadith of rasoolah
asallahu alaihi wa sallam where the prophet sallahu
alaihi wa sallam
breaks it down and, you know, says tells
us the virtue of this fasting.
And then on this same day of Arafa,
there's a particular supplication. There's a particular dua.
Rasoolallahu alaihi wasallam teaches us that the best
dua that you can make,
A lot of time people have this question.
That sheikh,
if I have a dua that I want
to be accepted,
when should I do that dua? Or how
should I do that dua?
Should I make that dua before fajr
or before maghrib?
Should I make that dua after praying turakat
sunnah?
Should I make that dua in my sajdah?
And hadith of rasoolah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
teaches us that the best supplication
is the dua that's made on the day
of Arafah.
So on 9th of Dhul Hijjah next Friday,
it's
prime time.
Right? You get prime day.
Prime day, everybody's shopping on Amazon.
This is prime time for your dua.
Particular for your du'a.
And then the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam also
teaches us that the best
zikr,
the best thing that you can say
on the day of Arafah
is the 4th kalimah
teaches her a dua that the best thing
that you should say is, Allahumma inna kafuun
kareem. Oh Allah. You are the one who
pardons, and you are generous.
You love to pardon.
So pardon me, oh generous one.
And in this hadith of Prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam saying that that is a specialty the
last 10 days. The specialty
of the day of
the 9th of Dhul Hijjah which is the
day of Arafah
is
La ila lallawahdahu
la shariqalahu
lallahu lallamduwalaqulishainqadeer.
Say as much as the 9th, the 4th
kalima as you can. And then we have
the translation here.
Now,
the day of Arafa.
The day of Arafa as we know in
Hajj
that is the main day. That's why people
go to perform Hajj. Everything else is actually
based
around the day of Arafah.
You go to Mina
to prepare yourself
from Arafah.
You go to muzalifa as like the cool
down period from Arafah.
It's a main part,
And the prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam is teaching
us that you know what? No matter if
you're there in Hajj or you're here,
it's
maximizing and utilizing this day of Arafah. And
the rasoolah salallahu alayhi wasalam he mentions in
the hadith. The rasoolah asallahu alaihi wasallam says,
there is no day in which Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala frees more of His servant
from the fire of jahannam
like the day of Arafah.
The day that
people rec recognize
who Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is. Alafa means
to recognize,
to know,
to understand.
And on this day when people go
to the actual plane of alafa, make dua
to Allah, they understand who Allah is, Who
my creator is. They recognize
what's my status and how
I'm actually nothing compared to Him.
And this is why Allah subhanahu frees so
many people from the fire of jahannam
what do they want?
What is that these what is that these
people want? And
at the end of the day, we want
forgiveness
from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and freedom from
the fire of jahannam.
And this is what the day of alafah
is about.
Actions in this day, what should a person
do?
The prophet
instructed those people
that cannot reach the blessed land, basically everybody
that's here in this room. But, alhamdulillah, if
you're still planning to go Hajj, I know
there are some flights are leaving on 4th
as well. So if you're planning to go
Hajj, you know, may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
bless you. May tuwadha, inshallah we join you
someday.
But the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam instructed
that the people
who cannot go,
Prophet asallallahu alaihi wasallam
says that they should imitate the pilgrims. They
should imitate the hujaj
by not cutting their hair or not clipping
their nails.
Right? And this is actually particularly another hadith
musallallahu alaihi wasallam says for a person who
intends to perform
Udhiya, kurbani.
They should
make sure not to cut their hair or
their
nails when they see the moon of the
Dhul Hijjah. So once Dhul Hijjah starts, if
you plan to do Qurbani,
then you shouldn't cut your hair and you
shouldn't trim your nails
until your Qurbani is done. Right? And we'll
talk about this in more detail, and the
whole purpose is the prophet
says, the * that goes,
his actions are so beloved
that you should copy him.
You should try to be like him.
It's like
where
your father or your parents
are so impressed by somebody,
and they love their actions so much, and
they keep telling you, you should be like
this one.
This person's action, their grades, their homework is
so good. You should try to be like
this one. And that's what the prophet salallahu
alaihi wasallam is saying, the hajj that goes
and performs hajj, they're so close to Allah
that you should be like Him.
And
a *,
once they're in the state of Haram,
again they don't
clip their nails, and they don't cut their
hair. And then for a *, like we
said before, they don't commit sins.
And
and while you're in Hajj, while you're in
the state of Haram,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
says that there is no immoral talk, there's
no sin, and there's no
fighting and arguing.
Narrates his hadith that the prophet salallahu alayhi
wasalam says, when any one of you sights
the moon of Dhul Hijjah,
and this person intends to sacrifice,
then let him not touch his hair or
his nails. Basically, don't trim your hair and
don't trim your
nails.
Alright. And let him refrain from cutting his
hair, like, cutting his hair and his nails.
Virtue of these 10 days and we we
again, we started talking about this earlier.
Allah subhanahu takes an oath. And when we
said before,
Allah subhanahu takes oath by saying, and I
take oath of these 10 blessed nights.
So the worship in these nights or the
amount a person draws closer to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala in these nights.
Now,
one of the things we said earlier, what
should you do in these 10 days is
dhikr. Remember Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And Allah subhanahu wa'ala in the Quran he
tells
us,
When you remember Allah, when you do dhikr,
your hearts will find peace.
And the prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam,
just like the hadith that we said earlier
that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,
there's no days in which good deeds are
greater or more beloved to Allah subhanahu than
these 10 days.
And then he continued on in saying, so
what you should do
is do tahleel as much as possible.
And tahleel
is saying,
In other hadith, rasoolallahu alaihi wa sallam says,
the best of zikrs
is
Another hadith says
that the had There is a
that previous nations have been given to as
well, and it's most beloved to Allah
And that is
And then the prophet says, do
Say Allahu Akbar.
And do
Say
And this is a special
instruction rasoolah gives us throughout these 10 days.
Now, sacrificing.
A huge part of,
you know,
and that's why
we in the subcontinent
gets the nickname
Right? Because we sacrifice.
We sacrifice
goats and cows
and different animals
during you know this.
Tells
us when
he's,
doing one of the very smallest surahs in
the Quran. Inna Athaina.
Very Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given you,
and whether Allah Subhanahu wa'ala is talking to
the prophets allahu wa'ala is talking directly to
us, Allah Subhanahu wa'ala is saying, verily Allah
has given you abundance of good. Look around
in your life.
Do you not have a lot of good
in your life?
Do you not have safety?
Do you not have to worry about
a place that you call home?
You know, yesterday,
the fiscal measure we took part in a,
an interfaith event
where they honored the lives of the 35,
the 53 people that passed away in San
Antonio.
Alright?
This is abundance of good that you and
I don't have to worry about this.
You and I don't have to worry about
human trafficking or being a refugee
that Allah Subhanahu has given us safety.
Abundance of good Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has
given us is food on our plates, is
health. Abundance of good Allah Subhanahu has given
us is wealth.
The abundance of good Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
has given us
is everything that we use on a day
to day basis, and this is why Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
To your nourisher.
Now usually break down the word rub.
Rub,
usually people say it means Lord, but rub
actually means a nourisher.
What does nourisher mean? Somebody help me out.
What does the word nourisher mean?
Anybody? Saad?
When you nourish something, what does that mean?
You give it food. You take care of
it. And a nourisher actually nourishes something through
every stage of its life, Every stage of
its growth.
It's like a plant.
When you put that seed in the pot
and it's not even there, you nourish it.
You pour water.
You put
fertilizer.
And then as it sprouts out one day,
just a tiny little thing you put it
into the sun.
You pour make sure you pour water. You
don't put too much water.
And as it grows, every stage of its
growth,
you nourish it. And that's why Allah the
prophet shalallahu alaihi wasallam uses the dua for
our parents. What's the dua for our parents?
It's taught from the hadith.
The way that they nourished me when I
was young. They took care of every stage
of mine.
And here,
Allah subhanahu wa'anahu says,
so pray for your nourisher. The one who
takes care of you through every stage of
your life. 1 har and sacrifice.
Offer a sacrifice for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
and this is what utiyah is about.
Being thankful and showing gratitude for everything that
you have.
Praising Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and worship Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and then offering
a sacrifice
that's only done for the pleasure of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Now,
the technical
part of it,
it's either a sunnah or sunnah tamakada.
But according to
says
that, oh yeah sacrificing
Qurbani
is waju.
You must do it.
And the only people that are exempt from
it are people that either cannot afford it
or people that are traveling, or there are
some some exemption.
But for everybody else,
you have to
sacrifice an animal or a part of animal.
Give some sort of kurbani.
The prophet salallahu alayhi is in another hadith
he makes mention.
Whoever can afford to offer a sacrifice.
Right? If you can afford it to offer
offer a sacrifice
and to make things easy,
what do you think offering a sacrifice,
the cost is?
Anybody?
How much do you think
making this sacrifice of,
dul hija?
Of this idul adha? How much do you
think it's the cost is? Tell me, what
do you think? Take a rough rough guess.
5,000?
Okay. 5,000.
Let's say If I were to tell you
it's a fraction of that.
Not 10% of that. Even smaller of 5,000.
How much is kurbani?
$40?
Where's $5,040?
You can do kurbani. And today earlier
in the first clip, but they talked about
doing
and a lot of times we look at
doing here
which is good as well. You should again.
So that you experience what
is like.
But when you do
in another country,
so you instead of doing it yourself you
can send that money.
What ends up happening is the meat
from your.
Right? Instead of us sacrificing and then we
already have a fridge full of meat,
and we now look at where do I
How do I put this into
the freezer?
You know, the freezer is one thing I
don't touch in my house.
I don't touch the freezer in my house.
Why? Because the moment you open the door
everything was falling out.
So I tell my wife that you want
anything to go in the freezer, you do
it. I don't do
it because it's already full, and it When
we get the meat of kurbani, we're like
okay, now where do I put this
amongst all the meat that's already there?
But
when you do kurbani overseas
in,
earlier the khatib said
that their,
helping hand, they do kurbani
in 85 countries,
you know, all across the world.
Not only are you giving the sacrifice which
is upon
you,
but you're putting meat
on the plate of people that haven't had
meat in a very very long time.
You know, last week,
we had another organization that was here. I
think it was Islamic Relief. And the brother
that was speaking, he shared that when they
gave the meat of,
the girl took the meat and started chewing
it
because she had no idea what meat is.
And they had to stop her and say,
no. No. No. You're supposed to take this
home, and your mother's gonna cook it.
She thought it was like a gacha.
Just put it in your mouth and start
chewing on it because she's never experienced it.
She had no idea what meat means.
And
when
you
do overseas, you're giving people meat
that haven't had meat in a very very
long time.
So you get that double the reward. But
in this hadith, the prophet
told actually, some of you were saying that
you said 5,000
for $40.
Right? So like infomercial.
One easy payment of $40
plus shipping handling.
You have your kurbani done.
And also,
a person
should do kurbani upon you know, on behalf
of others as well.
If you have loved ones that have passed
away,
you can do kurbani on behalf of them.
People, you know, can do kurbani on anybody.
On behalf of anybody. Not kurbani on anybody.
Doesn't mean that you take your sister and
let's go.
But you can do kurbani on behalf of
somebody else. So in this hadith, the prophet
says, whoever can afford, if you can afford
$40
but you do not
make that sacrifice.
You do not do Uziya or make intention.
The prophet
says,
don't let this person come to where
we pray our eitzelah.
So what this hadees means,
it means if you're not gonna give your
or Korbani,
you're not welcome at the Rough Rider sit
Stadium at 7 AM next Saturday.
That's what the hadith says. So we tell
our Eid salazar to meet 7 AM
at Rough Rider Stadium next Saturday.
If you don't give your kurbani, you're not
welcome Through the hadith of the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam. We will welcome you, but
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says, don't
let this person come. So pay your $40.
Alright.
The reward of uziya, the reward of making
this sacrifice.
When a person sacrifices an animal,
their sins are forgiven.
Through one hadith from Sunan al Bayhaki, the
prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam says, the animal shall
be brought on the day of judgment
with its meat. And this is why you
should, you know, look to get a healthy
animal, a nice You
know, back home what they do is they
buy the goat and they feed the goat
for a few days.
They take care of the goat. They wash
the goat.
They build a connection. That's when you're really
sacrificing it. You actually, you know, are have
a bond with it. You give it good
food and then they sacrifice it. So on
the day of judgment, when a person,
the the animal that you sacrifice,
that meat the animal we brought
and the meat we brought,
and its weight will be increased by 70
times. Again, this hadith can be found in
sunan al bay haki.
More than its weight.
And then it'll be placed on your scale
of good deeds.
So let's say a cow. Right?
We said that one share one share of
what your core body should be like is
$40.
Father, what's what's for the whole cow?
$204. $204.
And a cow weighs how much?
A lot more than what you and I
do.
Then you multiply that by 70 times.
Right?
And then you put that on your good
deeds.
Right? And you can imagine
the weight of that.
The prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam al Hadisi makes
mention
that the reward of every fiber of wool
on the animal and every hair
is
when it's sacrificed, it's recorded in your good
deeds.
Every hair that this animal has, every fiber
of wool that this lamb or this sheep
might have is rewarded in your good deeds.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
And remember Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and remember the name of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala in these appointed in these particular few
days.
So we talked about sacrificing Uziya.
Now we move on to
the Takbirat
of the days of a yamutashree.
The the particular days of Takbirat.
The Takbirat actually start on
the fajr of the day of Arafah. So
fajr of next Friday,
and they go all the way until
the asr of
13th of.
So this is basically the main days of
Hajj.
When a * goes for fajr, after fajr
salah they go to alafah,
and they After Zohr salah they're Arafa wukuf
starts. This is when the Takbira start, and
Takbira is after every salah you recite the
Takbira.
Right? And we're taught to say this three
times. It starts on Fajr of 9th,
the whole day 9th, the whole day 10th,
the whole day 11th,
the whole day 12th,
and on 13th
of the Dhul Hijjah at Asr time, you
then stop.
Right? And this is what Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala says, what's Gurism Allah and remember and
glorify
and pronounce and then then the glory of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in these particular days.
Right. And this is the taqbiyah Allahu Baralai
Bra.
La ilaha illa Allahu Baralai Bra, wala illa
illa hamd. Allahu Baralai lal hamd. Men of
course are supposed to say out loud. If
you praise Allah at home, you can say
it at home as well but again
particularly to be said in any Jamat or
any congregation of salah,
that you read.
Women would pray this quietly.
We we said earlier it's 4 and a
half days, almost 5 days after 23,
salas. You will say this takbiraat
of,
of of the days of iyam tashrib.
Now the Where did this takbiraat come from?
The origin is when the prophet Ibrahim alayhis
salatu as salam,
when he began to
fulfill the directive of
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Jibrael alaihisattu as salam came down, and
he brought down a sheep.
And when he came down, he began to
pronounce
the greatness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And this one, Ibrahim, alayhisattu, as salam,
he looked up
towards the skies
and realized that a substitute
has been sent. So
again, we all know the story that Allah
Ibrahim, alayhisattu, as salam, he sees a dream.
When he wakes up and he sees his
dream not just one day but multiple days
and the dreams of a prophet
are a form of what he have, a
form of revelation.
And the prophet salallahu alaihisattu aslam, when he
would see dreams, there would be a form
of revelation as well. So Ibrahim alaihi wasallam,
he goes to his son and he said,
look, I've seen this dream.
What do you think?
And Ismail alaihi wasallam
says,
if that's what Allah's command has commanded you,
then you will find you'll find me to
be
Insha Allah
minasabareen.
You'll find me to be from the people
that are patient.
And Ibrahim alaihi satu wasalam takes Ismail alaihi
satu wasalam to sacrifice,
and Allah Subhanahu sends down the animal with
Jibali alaihisattu waslam,
and this is what
he began to say. So first as it
came down, it was Allahu Akbar.
When Ibrahim alaihisattu waslam looked up to the
skies, he said,
and Isma'il alaihisattu waslam, who was overwhelmed. Why?
Because his life just got saved. He then
said,
Allah is great and for Allah's praise,
I'm free to go. I'm off the hook.
Right? So this is where the origin of
where the takbirat come.
Now,
inshallah, we'll wrap up after this. So we
talked about
avoiding sin, and we talked about fasting these
days. We talked about increasing
our worship. We talked about doing dhikr.
Then we talked about particularly
worship and lost while on the 9th of
Dhul Hijjah,
and fasting on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah.
And then we talked about the special Takbirat
in the iyam tashri.
And the last thing that we're gonna discuss
today is the sunnahs of the day of
Eid.
Right.
So wake up early morning. Why? Because you
have no choice. We are praying Eid salah
at 7 AM. Alhamdulillah.
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he would use
miswat on this day. He would take a
bath which means that you need to wake
up at 4 AM
so that other people would take a shower
and other people would take a bath, and
you can get ready. The prophet salallahu alayhi
wasalam would put on the best of his
clothes.
You know, sometimes, and may Allah protect us,
I see people that come into the idga,
the place that we pray Eid salah,
with just random clothes.
And honestly,
it hurts me.
Why? Because
Allah Subhanahu Wa'ala gives us 2 days of
celebration.
From the whole year, we get 2 days
of celebration. Yes. The day of Jum'ah is
a celebration as well. And the prophet
instructs us to wear good clothes on the
day of Jummah as well.
The pro Allah subhanahu wa'ala in the Quran
he says,
that beautify yourself whenever you come to the
masjid. And
so let's say a person doesn't beautify themselves
when they come to the masjid, tell our
kids, okay, you know, who's gonna wear good
clothes every Friday, or who's gonna wear good
clothes every time they come to the masjid.
Sometimes you just wanna wear your, you know,
your pajamas and come to the masjid, then
I'm not gonna hate it. That's fine. But
when a person comes to eats a lot
in their sweats
or in their shorts,
and trust me, I'm not exaggerating. I have
seen people
bring eats a lot in their shorts
or just in like random jeans.
It really hurts.
It's a day of celebration and the prophet
shalallahu alaihi wa sallam, he instructs us to
wear your best clothes.
You know? You wouldn't wear those same clothes
when you go to your prom, or you
go to
a meeting, or
an interview.
It's like you're saying that I'm gonna be
more
respectful when I go to a job interview,
but on my day of celebration, where Allah
subhanahu has made it haram upon me to
fast.
We talk about fasting these 10 days, then
you'd fast for 9 days or 10 days
haram. Why? Because day of celebration.
But we're saying that that interview is more
valuable that I'm gonna respect
than this day where Allah subhanahu wa'an tells
me to celebrate.
And celebration is done through wearing good clothes
to beautify yourself.
Then the 5th sunnah of this day is
to perform to put on some sort of
itr or some sort of perfume.
Right? Put on some sort of fragrance
and not to eat before Eid prayer.
If you remember when we did Eid al
Eid al Fitr Eid al Fitr when the
sunnah was that you
eat before coming to Eid al Fitr, because
you haven't ate for 30 days.
You've ate, but you real breakfast.
That's why the sunnah was that before you
come to Eid al Fitr, you'd have some
sort of breakfast. You eat something.
But in this Eid, you're not supposed to
eat at all
until after eat
Right? A little change up. And then of
course, to recite the takbirat,
like we said before,
on the way to Eid salah. Alright. So
on the way there, we, play this Takbirat.
And this last sunnah that I'll mention and
insha'Allah we'll wrap up after this, is
when you go to Eid salah, take one
route.
Take Preston.
And when you come back,
take
Dallas North Toll Dallas North Tollway. It might
be 40ยข more,
but you'll be fond of Rasool Allah Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam. You don't have to take this
whole way. It's a joke. Just take a
different route, whatever route that you wanna take.
Take koi, take, you know, Hill Hillcrest, whatever
you like. But take one path to go
to eat salah,
another path when you come back.
You
know, in our faith, like we said earlier,
there are 2 days of celebration.
And I usually tell people that
as parents, it is your responsibility,
responsibility
to make these 2 days special
for your children,
special for your children.
And the reason being is
when our children look up at other faiths,
other religions,
and they looked at
Easter is all about kids,
and Thanksgiving is all about eating good food,
and Christmas is all about presents.
They then look at our 2
days of Eid, and they say Eid is
all about
coming home and going back to sleep,
Or maybe visiting
an aunt and an uncle, and that's it.
And that's why I believe that it's a
responsibility of parents, especially in America.
You know, back home, if you're if you're
back home, wherever
you call back home, it's a huge day.
It's a huge festival. Right? It's a huge
celebration.
They have the goats. They have the cows.
They take it to the place of sacrifice.
And the kids come. They, you know, they
watch the sacrifice happen. That meat gets cooked
the same day.
And, you know, it's a day of celebration.
That's how they celebrate.
But here in America,
you know, where we
don't celebrate in that same way, it's our
responsibility
to make this day special for our
children.
Not just that you go to the Rough
Rider Stadium at 7 AM on a Saturday
morning
to pray Eid salah, but
have some sort of happiness.
You know, maybe get some cupcakes made. Maybe
get a cake made. Maybe take them out.
Get them some presents.
You know, splurge a little bit. It's a
day of celebration.
Now usually people say, what are you waiting
for Christmas?
What are you waiting for, Eve? It's Eve.
Celebrate. Make it special.
And one other thing I wanna kind of
point out, you know, usually when we talk
about
worshiping Allah and kind of going all out,
sometimes what happens is that when a person
focuses on worshiping Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala,
they end up
not fulfilling other responsibilities
that they already have.
For example,
a father now is in worship mode
and they don't give focus to their children.
Our mother is in worship mode, and she
doesn't give focus to,
you know, the people around her.
And this is why you have to realize
that there has to be
some sort of balance.
When you're worship Allah Subhanahu, you have responsibilities
on the people around you.
Next Friday when you're fasting and it's a
17, 18 hour fast,
that doesn't give you the right to be
snappy
at people.
That doesn't give you the right to go
off on people.
There has to be that balance
between
and
To fulfill,
right, especially for those things that are not
mandatory,
you can't trample over.
Hukul Ibad. There has to be a balance.
Now, earlier we talked about
Qurbani and one of the reasons why I
kept referring to Fahadbay,
inshallah, they are here with kurbani.usa
And kurbani.usa,
like we mentioned earlier, for $40 you can
have your kurbani done overseas,
and this meat will go to people that,
you know, really need your meat.
And for $240
they will sacrifice the whole cow.
So one share,
which you need to do is 40,
but for if you want to do the
whole cow for a part of the family
or just for, you know,
for,
inshallah, they will be outside.
Remember when we said earlier that this is
wajib.
It's not optional. According to some scholars, it's
sunnah, but even then it's sunnah,
a very high level sunnah. But according to
other scholars like Imam Abu Hanifa Rahmatullahi,
this
is wajib. You must do it. And we
like we said that earlier, the prophet says
whoever can afford it and still does not
do it, that person is not welcome to
our eitzilah.
So the brothers are here from Qurayin dot
USA,
to help out,
Injala. If you want to meet them in
the back, they can help you and, you
know, they will have the Qurban done on
behalf of you, your family, or whoever you
like. And the meat will go to people
that, Injala, need it. Once again, just to
give some
announcements.
Tomorrow we have
the Hajj,
youth trivia kahoot,
which InshaAllah will explain Hajj and we'll have
some sort of trivia and then we'll have
gift cards. This will be for youth. It'll
be tomorrow after Maghrib Salah.
On Monday,
Monday we have our 4th July barbecue. I
know we said that you should you should
fasten these 10 days,
but we'll be celebrating the birthday of America
because we're Americans.
So 4th July,
inshallah there'll be a barbecue here at the
Masjid.
If you want,
you can fast that day as well. After
Maghrib inshallah we'll have a star for you.
And inshallah, there will be fireworks not
because it's Dhul Hijab, but because it's 4th,
4th July. You know, that we have a
clear view of the Toyota Stadium.
The masjid that, alhamdulillah, hosts this barbecue. And
the purpose behind this
is not to be as American as possible,
but these are certain thing that kids like
to do and they don't go against our
religion.
I'm not paying for
the fireworks. You're not paying for the fireworks.
We're just coming and watching.
Our children like to take part in these
things and to give them a healthy and
halal environment where they can
be Muslim
and yet,
you know, enjoy fireworks too,
is the purpose behind this. So you don't
have to worry about alcohol on the masjid
premises. You don't have to worry about music.
You don't have to worry about, you know,
indecency.
You know, girlfriend boyfriend's kind of on the
masjid.
And at the same time you'll have all
of your salas
here,
and the food is dirt cheap. We'll be
selling burgers and a hot dog as a
meal for $3.
That's cheaper than McDonald's. And we don't know
if that McDonald's is actual meat or not.
Something has been there, but we don't know
what's been
there. But so, we'll have hot dogs and
burgers and shall we'll be serving,
for for just $3. We'll have ice cream
trucks here. You know, and that will be
next Monday.
Next Friday,
after,
at 8 o'clock, we have Sheikh with Nasir
Jangda that will be here speaking about the
day of Alafa. We'll have a dua as
a community together, the dua of Alafa. And
then we'll have iftar, a community iftar, next
Friday.
And then as I mentioned multiple times before,
next Saturday, inshallah, we'll be celebrating Eid.
Eid salah is at what time?
7 AM.
At Roughrider Stadium,
Inshallah, there'll be one
for the Frisco community.
Please make sure that you're there. These are
the announcements that we have.
For coming out. Inshallah today.
We have some refreshments in the back. And
like I mentioned earlier,
you know, even if you're doing Korbani here
in America, you can also do Korbani overseas.
That way you can take part in the
Korbani and you can get the reward for
some for those
people that need that, you know, mead,
as well. That would be outside.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that Allah
makes these 10 days of Dhul Hijjah
beneficial for us, that he gives us a
reward
of fasting
for a year.
And next week, he gives us strength to
fast on the 9th Dhul Hijjah so we
get the reward of fasting for 2 years.
That Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala gives us a
reward of worshiping Allah throughout the night and
the reward
of in these 10 days. May Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala make us people that avoid sin.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala make us people
who praise
him, who glorify him in these 10 days
of Dhurhij. May Allah SWAN make us people
who visit him in his house and perform
Hajj. So the people that we're mimicking
of by not cutting our hair and not
cutting our nails, that we get the reward
of theirs and we get to be a
part of them and they may cause all
to Hajj. Those are our family members that
have gone to Hajj. May Allah, Subhanahu, accept
their Hajj. Those are community members that have
gone to Hajj. May Allah, Subhanahu,
return them back safely.
Everybody for coming out. Assalamu alaikum.
