So
start off by praising Allah,
the one who is worthy of all of
our praise and our gratitude is Allah,
who guides us to that which is pleasing
to him, is Allah,
who watches over us even though very rarely
are we aware of him. Listens to us
even though very rarely do we call on
to it's a law who showers us with
his mercy even though we forget to ask.
Is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who is waiting
for us to ask him for forgiveness
and turn back to him.
And through this forgiveness, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
gives us months like the month of Ramadan.
The
prophet the one that was not just sent
as a mercy to mankind but as a
mercy to the world.
It was a prophet
who came to teach us not just how
to worship
Allah but to interact with 1 and
to the point that
says
in the messenger of God, you have this
complete, imperfect,
and peace and blessings upon
the companion of the prophet and
his family members, those who helped him and
aided him, Ahmedabad
thereafter.
In the month of Ramadan, we come to
a very
pivotal point.
This time of Ramadan is where things start
to change.
We usually call this the Ramadan slump.
We start off Ramadan at a high,
and the masjid is packed.
The verse comes to mind.
The help of Allah comes and victory comes.
And you see people flock into the religion
in large groups that finding parking becomes difficult,
finding place in a masjid that we just
expanded
becomes difficult, that people are now praying outside
in the 1st 10 days. But now you
come to a very pivotal point, a deciding
point
where we enter the second 10 days of
Ramadan,
the 12th of Ramadan today.
And usually, what happens at this point,
we start to
divert from our intentions.
We start off the month of Ramadan, think
that this month will be different. This time,
I will change. And this time, I will
seize
the virtues of Ramadan, and I will make
the most of it. But around this time,
what happens
solely solely our habits
start to come back.
Okay. I've done this for 10 days. I've
done this for 11 days. I've done this
for 12 days. Let me pray
at
home.
Let me pray
a little bit later.
And
things now begin to change.
And hopefully, the last 10 days we pick
back up. But to maximize on the month
of Ramadan, you have to
maintain
that
level of worship, that level of spirituality
throughout the whole
And being steadfast
and being and worship Allah Subhanah perpetuosity,
continuously,
where there isn't today, I worship tomorrow, I
don't. And the day after, I will. Again,
come to a point, I'm going to take
a little break, and then I will pick
back up. True, great. The prophet
says the most beloved actions of Allah are
the ones that you do continuously.
And Ramadan is about building habits.
And the reason why every Ramadan seems the
same because in Ramadan, we fail to build
a habit
because in the middle of Ramzan, we take
a break from the actions.
But if a person were to build habits
in the month of Ramzan, then they have
to carry on the action throughout the entire
month.
Prophet that many people have said that it
is weak or
it contradicts other hadith. But we look at
this hadith and understanding that the whole month
of Ramadan is of mercy.
And the whole month of Ramadan is of
forgiveness.
And the whole month of Ramadan is a
freedom from the fire of Jahannam. But
to give ourselves
direction
and focus ourselves.
The
the prophets of law, when they say in
this narration says that the first 10 days
is of mercy. And the second 10 days
is of forgiveness, and the last 10 days
of freedom from the fraud.
So if we were to look at this
hadees, even so there is commentary upon it,
and say, just for the sake of focusing
ourselves, in this middle 10 days, I will
work on forgiveness and asking Allah for forgiveness.
The first step of asking Allah for forgiveness
is
forgiving others.
Because Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he says
in one hadith,
whoever does not have mercy upon others, Allah
will not have mercy upon that person.
And this is a very tough
discussion.
Because in our hearts, sometimes
we hold grudges for people. I have relatives,
you have relatives, you have friends, that you
have stopped communicating
with them over something small. Conversation. So learning
to forgive them and
cleaning your heart in this month in Ramadan
is going to be extremely important.
For your heart to let in the noor
of a loss, Subhanu wa Taala, you have
to first cleanse it
and let go of the grudges and fix
it and remedy it from all the illnesses
of the
remedy it from all the illnesses of the
heart. And that comes with making that awkward
conversation.
And sometimes it's to a sibling that we
haven't spoke.
To. Sometimes it's to a work colleague. Sometimes
it's to a relative,
but
the hadith comes to mind by.
Old young boy,
at night before you go to sleep, look
at your heart.
And if you find any ill feelings,
if you find any grudges,
if you find any hatred,
if you find
any malice in your heart towards somebody else,
then let go of it.
Forgive that person.
And he finished off the hadith where the
prophet
says, why? Because
this is my sunnah. I
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, I do this.
In another hadith, prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says,
whoever lets go of an argument,
whoever lets go of a grudge, a fight,
and and and they are
in the wrong,
the law will build in the house agenda.
And for the person that's in the right,
you were actually wrong in this relationship. The
person is, you know, they they they oppressed
you. The prophet
says, for that person,
Allah
will build this person a house in the
middle
of Jannah Jannah. Sorry.
Now,
after cleansing our heart, we now turn to
asking Allah
for forgiveness.
And
this month in Ramadan is all about forgiveness
of Allah
To the point that the very famous hadith
where Rassalla salallahu alaihi wasalam is climbing the
pulpit,
and he says, Amin, multiple times. And when
the companions asked him,
We've seen you do something
unique today.
And Rasulullah has explained. Now, even though we've
heard this hadith so many times before, to
truly understand this hadith,
the prophets of Allah,
like we said earlier, was not just a
mercy to mankind,
but he was a mercy to the world.
Anybody who harmed him personally, he forgave them.
Think about it. Well, actually comes to Rassoula
salallahu alaihi wa sallam.
And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam asks
him, are you the person
who
assassinated my uncle?
He says, yes. I am. And I'm here
to accept Islam. And Raul alaihi wa sallam
says,
in this hadees, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam,
he says, Amin, multiple times. And when he's
asked why? What happened?
The mercy to mankind.
A person whose mission was to make sure
every single person receives a message of Islam.
Every single person receives Allah's forgiveness. Every single
person enters into Jannah. He says that when
I stepped on
the first step,
came and made a du'a against a person.
And the second step, he made du'a against
a person. 3rd step, I made du'a against
a person. On each of the steps, I,
the mercy of mankind,
said,
and one of them is a person who
receives his blustered and
yet does not find a way to obtain
a loss for forgiveness.
And the mercy of mankind says, that person,
who has slacked off so much. That person,
who has slacked off so much. That person,
who has slacked off so much,
that person who hasn't seized this month in
Ramadan where Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, is coming
down
to the skies and asking and calling out
to people and saying, who wants my forgiveness?
Ask me so I shall forgive you.
Who wants my mercy?
So ask me so I should shower you
with my mercy. Rasool Allah says,
I'm mean to a person like that.
In this month, there are times
throughout the whole month where Allah that gives
us moments of forgiveness.
A person that fast There are two moments
of
One is when they open their fast and
the second is,
when they
In other hadith, were Surah said that,
fasting is for me.
And I will give the reward for fasting
as much as I want.
And Allah is the king of all kings.
Know, everything else you do this, 10 rewards,
20 rewards, 30 rewards. But with fasting, Allah
says, I
got this one. And I will show you
what,
like,
what a great king I
am.
When he talks about
the month of Ramadan, he says, oh, people,
a great month has come upon you with
miracles and blessings and and forgiveness of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala. And in this month, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has made a night
which is greater than a 1000 months.
In this month,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
he
accepts
repentance
during the day and as well at night.
Rasulullah
says,
so people,
repent to Allah for your sins,
and supplicate,
and raise your hands.
Now when you think about raising your hands,
an important part comes in that this month
of Ramadan is all about Dua as well.
One of the most important parts of Ramadan
is Allah is pleased
is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is pleased with
you. And one of these prophets a law
by the citizens says,
the smell that comes from the mouth of
a person that's fast.
Of Ramadan with toothpaste? What if I don't
swallow it and it all comes out? And
say, the technicality, it's not going down your
throat.
Dear to Allah, subhanahu wa
ta'ala, more than the smell of lust. Now,
Allah is pleased with you.
And in this month,
ask Allah for whatever you want.
Go into the depths of your heart.
The things that you have desired
for your life,
the things that you
don't believe that can actually happen
in this month in Ramadan.
Because if you cannot obtain forgiveness in this
month in Ramadan, and if you cannot obtain
the desires that you have, and if you
cannot ask Allah for what you want in
the month of Ramadan, then when can you
ask?
When will you obtain that forgiveness if you
can't get in the month of Ramadan?
And one hadith,
Allah says,
I am with my servant the way he
thinks of me.
If you think Allah will forgive you, then
Allah will forgive you.
And the famous Hadith, Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam says,
Whoever fast in the
with faith,
the Allah will accept my fast.
With faith that Allah will reward me.
With faith that Allah will value
whatever broken Ibadah that I do.
Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam says, all of
his passengers are forgiven.
And then he says, Ramadan.
Whoever stands up in the the nights of
Ramadan.
Understanding
that our worship may be flawed.
Understanding that our fasting may be flawed, but
Allah Subhan accepts it,
and he values
it. Because Allah
the one who appreciates
what the servants do.
Of Ramadan, you turn to Allah where Allah
says, I am with my servant the way
he thinks of me. You are think of
Allah that Allah will accept yours,
and Allah
will accept your duas.
And then the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says,
oh people,
you have made your conscious
the slaves of your desires.
Your conscious, your have
become the slaves of your desires.
So in this month of Ramadan,
free your
free your desires, free your consciousness
by invoking Allah forgiveness.
Falls to sin. My nuffs enjoy sins. Some
of
us, our nuffs is so well trained by
Chetan
that we're actually counting down the days that
when will Ramzan be over so I can
go back to my old self.
And this is where the prophet is saying
that your
has became a slave to your desires. Way
that you can free it. And that is
by invoking Allah forgiveness. But the prophet of
Allah says that your backs have broke.
Your shoulders, there's so
much weight on it
from your
sins. So free and lift off that weight
by going down into sajdah in front of
Allah
The sins that you have
offload
that by prostrating in front of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Rasulullah
Sallallahu Wa Salam says, fully understand
that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has promised
with his majesty
and with his honor
that a person that prays Allah and a
person that does sajdah,
that the hellfire will be safeguarded from him
on the day of judgment.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam that same
he says, oh people,
in this month,
the gates of Jannah remain open.
So ask Allah that they remain open for
you outside as well.
In this month, the gates of Jahannam are
closed and chained.
So you turn to Allah and invoke on
Allah's one and supplicate to Allah
that they remain closed for you. And in
this month, shaytan is locked up and chained
up. So you ask Allah this month that,
oh, Allah, when the month of Ramadan finishes,
protect me from Shaitan. Don't let Shaitan
dominate me outside the month of Ramadan.
Remember,
the prophet is a love,
hadith.
He tells us, the law of has said,
earth full of sin
Oh, son of Adam,
if you come to me on the day
of judgment with a earth full of
sin. Not 1, not 2, not a 1,000,
but so many sins that it were to
fill up the whole earth. And this is
how you come to me on the day
of judgment. But
before that, you ask for forgiveness.
Before that you turn to me, you repent
to me, you offload
your sins,
and let me do my part.
And my part tells
that you sinned throughout the day and you
sinned throughout the night. What
I do is I forgive sins. Understand that
Allah
loves to forgive. This is his love language.
Allah loves to forgive. This is his love
language. Allah loves to forgive. This is his
love language. Allah loves to forgive. This is
his love language. Allah loves to forgive. This
is his love language. Allah loves to forgive.
This is his love language. Allah loves to
forgive. This is his love language. Allah loves
to forgive.
Love language.
Allah loves to forgive.
The last 10 days
of Ramadan, we turned this du'a up, where
we tell Allah, oh Allah, you love to
forgive, so
as long as you do not as long
as you do not associate partners.
This month in Ramadan
is about asking for forgiveness.
And
like we said earlier,
that this month of Rezaan is turning to
Allah
and making dua to Allah
It's about asking Allah that, oh, Allah, do
not let me go back to who I
was.
The way that you protect me from Shaitan,
the way that you have opened the gate
of agenda upon me, keep those doors open.
The acts of worship that I have done,
whether they are broken, oh, oh, Allah.
My law is broken. My fast is broken.
Oh, Allah. We ask that you accept it.
So in this month, we turn to Allah
asking for forgiveness.
Oh, Allah, Subhanahu, in this month in Ramadan,
we ask for for infinite mercy. Oh, Allah
subhanahu wa'am. This month is about your mercy.
Oh, Allah, we ask that you shower us
with that mercy. Oh, Allah, subhanahu wa'am. Do
not deprive us of your mercy in this
month.
Oh, Allah, subhanahu wa'am. We ask that you
have mercy upon the Muslim Ummah. Oh, Allah,
we ask you have mercy upon the Muslims
wherever they may be. Oh, Allah, we ask
that you have mercy upon our brothers and
sisters in Palestine this month. Oh, Allah, let
this month be a month of mercy upon
them. Oh, Allah,
This month is about change. Oh, Allah. We
ask that you change the situation of our
brothers, sisters and Palestine. Oh, Allah. They do
not have food to eat. Oh, Allah. We
ask that you are a razak that you
shower
SubhanAllah.
You are the one that grants peace. Oh,
Allah. We ask that you grant our brothers
and sisters in Palestine safety. Oh, Allah. They
do not have anybody to turn to.
Blind eye to them. Oh, well,
law, but you see every day. Oh, well,
law, there's nothing hidden from you. Oh, well,
law, there's nothing small. Oh, well, law, there's
nothing big that you do not know of.
Oh, Allah,
we ask that you watch over them. Oh,
Allah, we ask that you protect them. Oh,
Allah, we ask that you grant them. Oh,
Allah, we ask that you grant ease of
Muslim wherever they may be. Oh, Allah, in
this month of Ramadan, we come to you
with a load of sin. Oh, Allah subhanahu
wa'ala we ask for forgiveness. Oh, Allah subhanahu
wa'ala we
ask for guidance in the month of Ramadan.
Oh, Allah guide our youth. Oh, Allah keep
them on the straight path. Oh, Allah subhanahu
wa'ala protect us from going back to who
we used to be in the month of
Ramadan after the month of Ramadan. Oh, Allah
do not let us exit Ramadan the way
that we entered Ramadan. Oh, Allah whatever worship
we have done in the month of Ramadan,
oh, Allah we ask that you accept it.
Oh, Allah we ask that you accept our
fasting. Oh, Allah we ask that you accept
our qiyam. Oh, Allah. We ask that you
accept our reading of the Quran. Oh, Allah.
Make us people that are close to you.
Oh, Allah. We ask for jannah and actions
that bring us closer jannah. Oh, Allah. We
seek protection from the fire jannah. Oh, Allah,
we seek protection from action that bring us
close to fire of. Oh, Allah,
we ask for your mercy. Oh, Allah, we
ask for your forgiveness. Oh, Allah, we ask
that you free each and every single one
of us in the fire of.
Pardon our mistakes. Oh, Allah.
Do not burden us more than what we
can bear. Oh, Allah. We ask for good
in this dunya. Oh, Allah. We ask for
good in the hereafter. Oh, Allah. We ask
that you protect our community. Oh, Allah. We
ask that you give unity amongst our community.
Oh, Allah. We ask that you make this
mission a beacon of light. Oh, Allah. We
ask that you make this mission a place
where people find a home. Oh, Allah.
Guide us. Oh, Allah.
Oh, Allah, subhanahu, subhanahu,
subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu, subhanahu,
