00:00:00 --> 00:00:03
			Why is he not here today?

00:00:04 --> 00:00:05
			We've got his gift.

00:00:06 --> 00:00:08
			Mashallah, he answered a couple of times very

00:00:08 --> 00:00:09
			good questions.

00:00:10 --> 00:00:12
			Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen.

00:00:12 --> 00:00:14
			As-salatu was-salamu ala ashrafil mursaleen nabiyyina

00:00:14 --> 00:00:18
			Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa ashabihi ajma'een

00:00:18 --> 00:00:19
			wa ba'du.

00:00:19 --> 00:00:22
			So we continue with Surat At-Tur.

00:00:22 --> 00:00:26
			And we have seen, subhanAllah, although Surat At

00:00:26 --> 00:00:29
			-Tur is actually not long, but the things

00:00:29 --> 00:00:31
			that Allah addresses in the Surah are so

00:00:31 --> 00:00:33
			beautiful and it sort of takes you on

00:00:33 --> 00:00:33
			a journey.

00:00:36 --> 00:00:38
			And here we get to verse number 29

00:00:38 --> 00:00:43
			to verse 43, where Allah starts to address

00:00:43 --> 00:00:50
			the doubts, the objections, the accusations of the

00:00:50 --> 00:00:51
			people of Quraysh.

00:00:51 --> 00:00:56
			And Allah is going to refute them.

00:00:56 --> 00:01:00
			Allah is going to show the logical inconsistency

00:01:00 --> 00:01:02
			in what those people used to say.

00:01:02 --> 00:01:05
			Because they claimed logic to themselves here.

00:01:05 --> 00:01:06
			Imam Al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on

00:01:06 --> 00:01:10
			him, said, I seek refuge with Allah from

00:01:10 --> 00:01:12
			the accursed Satan, So remind, for you are

00:01:12 --> 00:01:13
			not, by the grace of your Lord, a

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15
			soothsayer or a madman.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:17
			Or do they say, A poet by whom

00:01:17 --> 00:01:18
			we are waiting in anticipation.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:23
			Say, Wait, for I am with you among

00:01:23 --> 00:01:23
			those who wait.

00:01:24 --> 00:01:26
			Or do their dreams command them to do

00:01:26 --> 00:01:26
			this?

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28
			Or are they a people who are transgressors?

00:01:28 --> 00:01:30
			Or do they say, He has imagined it.

00:01:30 --> 00:01:31
			No, they do not believe.

00:01:31 --> 00:01:33
			So let them bring a hadith like this,

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34
			if they are truthful.

00:01:34 --> 00:01:36
			Or were they created from nothing?

00:01:36 --> 00:01:37
			Or are they the creators?

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39
			Or did they create the heavens and the

00:01:39 --> 00:01:39
			earth?

00:01:40 --> 00:01:40
			No, they do not believe.

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45
			Or do they have the treasures of your

00:01:45 --> 00:01:45
			Lord?

00:01:45 --> 00:01:47
			Or are they the controllers?

00:01:47 --> 00:01:48
			Or do they have a ladder in which

00:01:48 --> 00:01:49
			they can listen?

00:01:49 --> 00:01:51
			So let their listener bring a clear authority.

00:01:52 --> 00:01:54
			Or do they have daughters, and you have

00:01:54 --> 00:01:54
			sons?

00:01:54 --> 00:01:56
			Or do you ask them for a reward,

00:01:56 --> 00:01:57
			because they are of a heavy load?

00:01:58 --> 00:01:59
			Or do they have the unseen, because they

00:01:59 --> 00:02:00
			write?

00:02:00 --> 00:02:03
			Or do they want a plot, because those

00:02:03 --> 00:02:04
			who disbelieve are the plotters?

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06
			Or do they have a god other than

00:02:06 --> 00:02:06
			Allah?

00:02:07 --> 00:02:09
			Glory be to Allah for what they associate

00:02:09 --> 00:02:10
			with Him.

00:02:15 --> 00:02:20
			If the sisters can close the door, I

00:02:20 --> 00:02:21
			would appreciate it.

00:02:21 --> 00:02:22
			JazakAllah khairah.

00:02:22 --> 00:02:26
			يأمر تعالى رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن

00:02:26 --> 00:02:31
			يذكر الناس مسلمهم وكافرهم لتقوم حجة الله I

00:02:31 --> 00:02:36
			need someone to clear the hallways of any

00:02:36 --> 00:02:36
			distractions.

00:02:40 --> 00:02:43
			يأمر تعالى رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن

00:02:43 --> 00:02:47
			يذكر الناس مسلمهم وكافرهم لتقوم حجة الله على

00:02:47 --> 00:02:52
			الظالمين ويحتدي بتذكيره الموفقون وأنه لا يبالي بقول

00:02:52 --> 00:02:57
			المشركين المكذبين وأذيتهم وأقوالهم التي يصدون بها الناس

00:02:57 --> 00:03:00
			عن اتباعه مع علمهم أنه أبعد الناس عنها

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03
			ولهذا نفى عنه كل نقص رموه به فقال

00:03:03 --> 00:03:07
			ما أنت بنعمة ربك أي منه ولطفه بكاهن

00:03:07 --> 00:03:12
			أي له رأي من الجن يأتيه بأخبار بعض

00:03:12 --> 00:03:16
			الغيوب التي يضم إليها مئة كذبة ولا مجنون

00:03:16 --> 00:03:20
			فاقد للعقل بل أنت أكمل الناس عقلا وأبعدهم

00:03:20 --> 00:03:25
			عن الشياطين وأعظمهم قصدا وأجلهم وأكملهم وتارة يقولون

00:03:25 --> 00:03:28
			فيه أنه شاعر يقول الشعر والذي جاء به

00:03:28 --> 00:03:32
			شعر والله يقول وما علمناه الشعر وما ينبغي

00:03:32 --> 00:03:36
			له نتربص به ريب المنون أي ننتظر به

00:03:36 --> 00:03:42
			الموت فسيبطل أمره ونستريح منه قل لهم جوابا

00:03:42 --> 00:03:45
			لهذا الكلام السخيف تربصوا أي انتظروا به الموت

00:03:45 --> 00:03:49
			فإني معكم من المتربصين نتربص بكم أن يصيبكم

00:03:49 --> 00:03:52
			الله بعذاب من عنده أو بأي دين أم

00:03:52 --> 00:03:56
			تأمرهم أحلامهم بهذا أم هم قوم طاغون أي

00:03:56 --> 00:04:00
			هذا التكذيب لك والأقوال التي قالوها هل صدرت

00:04:00 --> 00:04:04
			عن عقولهم وأحلامهم فبئس العقول والأحلام التي أثرت

00:04:04 --> 00:04:09
			ما أثرت وصدر منها ما صدر فإن عقولا

00:04:09 --> 00:04:14
			جعلت أكمل الخلق عقلا مجنونا وأصدق الصدق وأحق

00:04:14 --> 00:04:18
			الحق كذبا وباطلا لهي العقول التي ينزه المجانين

00:04:18 --> 00:04:25
			عنها أم الذي حملهم على ذلك ظلمهم وطغيانهم

00:04:25 --> 00:04:31
			وهو الواقع فالطغيان ليس له حد يقف عليه

00:04:31 --> 00:04:35
			فلا يستغرب من الطاغي المتجاوز الحد كل قول

00:04:35 --> 00:05:03
			وفعل صدر منه فالطاغيين

00:05:03 --> 00:05:05
			يحصلون على تقديمات جديدة وفي بعض الأحيان يحصلون

00:05:05 --> 00:05:10
			على طعام مختلف وطعام طبيعي أو طعام قديم

00:05:10 --> 00:05:15
			وليس هناك شيء علمي عنهم وليس هناك شيء

00:05:15 --> 00:05:22
			صحيح عنهم في بعض الأحيان يكون لديهم فائدات

00:05:22 --> 00:05:29
			مثل نقاط المساعدة ونقاط الضغط في الجسد ويمكن

00:05:29 --> 00:05:33
			أن يكون لديهم بعض الأشياء التي تساعد في

00:05:33 --> 00:05:36
			تحسين الخلاة في الوضع ولكن الكثير من هذه

00:05:36 --> 00:05:45
			الأشياء مثل المساعدة والضغط والماذا أخر ساعدني أسميهم

00:05:45 --> 00:05:50
			لأني أعرف أن الكثير من المسلمين أصبحت لهذا

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53
			and you might see results but a lot

00:05:53 --> 00:05:56
			of these are actually practices that have their

00:05:56 --> 00:06:01
			tradition in Kahana, which is dealing with jinn

00:06:02 --> 00:06:07
			and jinn have very profound knowledge of medicine

00:06:08 --> 00:06:11
			jinn have very profound knowledge of medicine and

00:06:11 --> 00:06:12
			they affect the human body and they know

00:06:12 --> 00:06:16
			the human anatomy even better than humans they've

00:06:16 --> 00:06:18
			been working on humans for thousands of years

00:06:18 --> 00:06:20
			so help me out with some of those

00:06:20 --> 00:06:28
			modern yoga right reiki acupuncture again there are

00:06:28 --> 00:06:30
			some versions that have been stripped of many

00:06:30 --> 00:06:34
			things and maybe some of the medical physiological

00:06:34 --> 00:06:40
			components have been used but how could you

00:06:40 --> 00:06:40
			know?

00:06:41 --> 00:06:44
			a lot of the practitioners in these fields

00:06:44 --> 00:06:46
			are actually people who deal with jinn and

00:06:46 --> 00:06:48
			can get you in so much trouble and

00:06:48 --> 00:06:52
			there have been many people personal stories of

00:06:52 --> 00:06:57
			people once they go into these facilities they

00:06:57 --> 00:07:00
			start having dreams, weird dreams they start seeing

00:07:00 --> 00:07:05
			things, they start hearing sounds okay, some of

00:07:05 --> 00:07:09
			them get hallucinations some of them leave the

00:07:09 --> 00:07:12
			religion yes, some of them start having doubts

00:07:12 --> 00:07:16
			about Islam and they leave the religion so

00:07:16 --> 00:07:19
			this is not a joke, don't trust anything

00:07:19 --> 00:07:23
			just because it's trendy be careful about these

00:07:23 --> 00:07:25
			things, so give me names of other things

00:07:25 --> 00:07:26
			I must have, the list must be longer

00:07:26 --> 00:07:29
			than that give me some of the names

00:07:30 --> 00:07:40
			huh I don't know that one Shiatsu Shiatsu,

00:07:40 --> 00:07:44
			yeah the chakras clearing the chakras that's what

00:07:44 --> 00:07:47
			they say, clearing the chakras don't get into

00:07:47 --> 00:07:57
			that don't get into that huh seijin oh

00:07:57 --> 00:07:59
			yeah yeah definitely, from the looks of it,

00:07:59 --> 00:08:00
			I don't know what it is but from

00:08:00 --> 00:08:04
			the looks of it, yes yeah, anything else?

00:08:04 --> 00:08:04
			meditation?

00:08:05 --> 00:08:05
			hot stones?

00:08:07 --> 00:08:10
			hot stones, I'm not sure of hot stones

00:08:10 --> 00:08:11
			is there anything physiological?

00:08:12 --> 00:08:15
			but, again, anything that has its roots in

00:08:15 --> 00:08:20
			those traditions most likely, it's a mix so

00:08:20 --> 00:08:24
			be very cautious someone said meditation so meditation

00:08:25 --> 00:08:29
			meditation is found in so many traditions, the

00:08:29 --> 00:08:32
			problem meditation has become so elaborate has been

00:08:33 --> 00:08:38
			has been changed and modified so so some

00:08:38 --> 00:08:43
			forms of psychology have taken meditation as relaxation

00:08:43 --> 00:08:46
			and literally, it's just mainly breathing and relaxing

00:08:47 --> 00:08:51
			okay, so that's relaxation but, a lot of

00:08:51 --> 00:08:57
			like the spiritual practices of meditation, whether in

00:08:57 --> 00:09:02
			yoga or in Buddhism and Taoism and in

00:09:03 --> 00:09:13
			Zen right, transcendental meditation okay a lot of

00:09:13 --> 00:09:15
			these, yes they open your space for shayateen

00:09:15 --> 00:09:19
			they open your space for shayateen, and a

00:09:19 --> 00:09:21
			lot of those famous people in the field

00:09:21 --> 00:09:23
			when they tell you about their personal accounts

00:09:23 --> 00:09:25
			when it comes to meditation, apparently they are

00:09:25 --> 00:09:29
			telling you some interaction with Jin it's obvious

00:09:30 --> 00:09:33
			it is obvious, okay so, this is why

00:09:33 --> 00:09:35
			I would not a Muslim does not really

00:09:35 --> 00:09:38
			need meditation and one of the absurdest things

00:09:38 --> 00:09:40
			that we have is, that they call something

00:09:40 --> 00:09:47
			Islamic meditation Islamic meditation where do you find

00:09:47 --> 00:09:48
			meditation in Islam?

00:09:48 --> 00:09:53
			oh, the prophet كان يتحنث في الغار it's

00:09:53 --> 00:10:00
			not meditation that's not meditation يتحنث يتحنث تحنث

00:10:00 --> 00:10:04
			يعني تعبد the prophet used to search for

00:10:04 --> 00:10:09
			answers the prophet knew Allah the Arabs knew

00:10:09 --> 00:10:11
			Allah and they would call upon Allah what's

00:10:11 --> 00:10:14
			the name of the prophet's father?

00:10:14 --> 00:10:18
			Abdullah they worshipped Allah they used to worship

00:10:18 --> 00:10:21
			the idols as something that brings them closer

00:10:21 --> 00:10:26
			to Allah مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَهِ مِدْيَرِيز middle

00:10:26 --> 00:10:29
			people or middle creatures bring them closer to

00:10:29 --> 00:10:36
			Allah سُبْحَانَهُمْ وَتَعَالَى so so the prophet did

00:10:36 --> 00:10:40
			not do meditation and the problem now, meditation

00:10:40 --> 00:10:43
			has become very elastic even if you are

00:10:43 --> 00:10:46
			just sitting by yourself and breathing somebody says,

00:10:46 --> 00:10:49
			oh you are meditating no, but a Muslim

00:10:49 --> 00:10:52
			doesn't need meditation as they practice it we

00:10:52 --> 00:10:57
			don't need meditation just pray just pray, it's

00:10:57 --> 00:10:59
			way better than that and there are Muslim

00:10:59 --> 00:11:03
			sects who practiced meditation, yes some mystic Muslim

00:11:03 --> 00:11:09
			groups practiced meditation and they called it what?

00:11:10 --> 00:11:14
			تَجْرِيدُ البَاطِن like what you find with the

00:11:14 --> 00:11:18
			Hindus and some of the eastern religions basically

00:11:19 --> 00:11:24
			empty your inner space تَجْرِيدُ البَاطِن it's like

00:11:24 --> 00:11:28
			you leave nothing within you you leave nothing

00:11:28 --> 00:11:32
			within you, right empty your mind that's what

00:11:32 --> 00:11:35
			they say the scholars of Islam like Ibn

00:11:35 --> 00:11:37
			Taymiyyah, he says there is no virtue in

00:11:37 --> 00:11:41
			this the virtue is engaging your heart with

00:11:41 --> 00:11:43
			true meanings about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:11:43 --> 00:11:46
			and about the hereafter but leaving the inner

00:11:46 --> 00:11:49
			screen empty, there is no virtue in this

00:11:49 --> 00:11:54
			whatsoever there is no religious virtue and there

00:11:54 --> 00:11:57
			is always a danger of shayateen getting into

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00
			you and there are many accounts of people,

00:12:00 --> 00:12:03
			actually there is in New York City, there

00:12:03 --> 00:12:08
			is a big center for therapy for people

00:12:08 --> 00:12:13
			who suffer from the consequences, the negative consequences

00:12:13 --> 00:12:16
			of meditation because there is a percentage of

00:12:16 --> 00:12:21
			people who start hearing sounds they start having

00:12:21 --> 00:12:24
			suicidal thoughts, they start hearing threats in their

00:12:24 --> 00:12:29
			meditation sessions, like I'll kill you I'll destroy

00:12:29 --> 00:12:32
			you I'll come after you, things like that

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34
			yes, who is speaking they'll tell you, oh

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37
			these are like past memories no, these are

00:12:37 --> 00:12:40
			devils speaking inside of you because you've opened

00:12:40 --> 00:12:44
			the space for them you've opened the space,

00:12:45 --> 00:12:46
			and you'll find most of these people, what

00:12:46 --> 00:12:48
			do they believe in people who practice meditation,

00:12:48 --> 00:12:51
			what do they believe in they believe in

00:12:51 --> 00:12:55
			wahdat al wujud wahdat al wujud, the unity

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57
			of being, which is they say there is

00:12:57 --> 00:13:02
			nothing in existence but Allah they say there

00:13:02 --> 00:13:05
			is nothing in existence but Allah and you'll

00:13:05 --> 00:13:08
			hear them, many of those gurus of those

00:13:08 --> 00:13:12
			who practice meditation they'll say, you are God

00:13:12 --> 00:13:14
			you are a piece of God and things

00:13:14 --> 00:13:16
			like that and you have to return you

00:13:16 --> 00:13:19
			are a piece of God and you have

00:13:19 --> 00:13:21
			to return to God and things like that

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24
			open your inner space to God, to the

00:13:24 --> 00:13:26
			bigger piece because you are a smaller piece,

00:13:26 --> 00:13:28
			and things like that all of this is

00:13:28 --> 00:13:31
			kufr, this is wahdat al wujud this is

00:13:31 --> 00:13:35
			the religion of Daoism and Buddhism and even

00:13:35 --> 00:13:38
			Hinduism this is what their philosophy boils down

00:13:38 --> 00:13:40
			to, eventually that there is nothing in existence

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43
			but God and what you call creation is

00:13:43 --> 00:13:50
			a manifestation of God so you'll find the

00:13:50 --> 00:13:51
			people who practice this, and this is again

00:13:51 --> 00:13:54
			known as wahdat al wujud, also the philosophy

00:13:54 --> 00:13:55
			behind it is known as al aql al

00:13:55 --> 00:13:58
			kulli the universal mind you'll hear this word

00:13:58 --> 00:14:03
			from many of those who practice this so

00:14:03 --> 00:14:07
			all of this about energy positive energy, negative

00:14:07 --> 00:14:09
			energy, channel your energy, clear your energy and

00:14:09 --> 00:14:12
			all of that stuff, all of this comes

00:14:12 --> 00:14:15
			from pagan religions they have nothing to do

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17
			with Islam in Islam we don't need meditation,

00:14:17 --> 00:14:21
			we have prayer we have prayer because meditation

00:14:22 --> 00:14:26
			originally, it is prayer to the shayateen you

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28
			open your space up to the shayateen, we

00:14:28 --> 00:14:30
			open our space up to Allah subhana wa

00:14:30 --> 00:14:33
			ta'ala and his rahma ok so be

00:14:33 --> 00:14:36
			careful, don't approach these things and the problem

00:14:36 --> 00:14:38
			is when you find Muslims practicing these things,

00:14:39 --> 00:14:43
			and they say Muslim coach healing, Muslim healing

00:14:43 --> 00:14:49
			coach so you've noticed probably we have a

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51
			lot of these copycats, and they just put

00:14:51 --> 00:14:55
			Islam, right, Islamic such and such, and we're

00:14:55 --> 00:14:57
			just copying the problem is that we're not

00:14:57 --> 00:15:00
			copying any let's say medicine or we're copying

00:15:01 --> 00:15:06
			some form of, I don't know physiological training

00:15:06 --> 00:15:08
			or anything, no these people are getting what?

00:15:08 --> 00:15:12
			kufr they're getting forms of kufr that have

00:15:12 --> 00:15:17
			been modernized and they have been repackaged we

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19
			don't see what's in them we take them

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21
			and the kufr in them as one package,

00:15:22 --> 00:15:25
			and then we just you know engage in

00:15:25 --> 00:15:28
			them, and after a few months, the person

00:15:28 --> 00:15:30
			has become a coach, they have a website,

00:15:30 --> 00:15:34
			they have a page on TikTok and Facebook,

00:15:34 --> 00:15:36
			and they're getting subscribers and they're making videos,

00:15:36 --> 00:15:40
			and they solve the world's problems they have

00:15:40 --> 00:15:44
			solutions to the world's problems apparently that's going

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46
			to be a very dark side, a very

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48
			dark phase in the history of Muslim communities

00:15:48 --> 00:15:54
			in the west and the east ok he

00:15:54 --> 00:15:59
			said he said so these were accusations that

00:15:59 --> 00:16:02
			they had against the prophet and Allah showed

00:16:02 --> 00:16:05
			how absurd and foolish they are they don't

00:16:05 --> 00:16:20
			need any kind of refutation Allah says ayy

00:16:45 --> 00:16:50
			ayy yeah, let's read this bit or do

00:16:50 --> 00:16:52
			they say he has made the Quran up

00:16:52 --> 00:16:55
			himself that is, do they say that Muhammad

00:16:55 --> 00:16:58
			s.a.w. has made up the Quran

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00
			of his own accord rather, they are not

00:17:00 --> 00:17:03
			willing to believe for if they believed, they

00:17:03 --> 00:17:06
			would not say such things then let them

00:17:06 --> 00:17:08
			produce a discourse like it if they are

00:17:08 --> 00:17:10
			telling the truth when they say that he

00:17:10 --> 00:17:12
			made it up for you are eloquent and

00:17:12 --> 00:17:15
			well-spoken Arabs, and you have been challenged

00:17:15 --> 00:17:18
			to produce something like it thus, you will

00:17:18 --> 00:17:20
			either prove your point or if you fail,

00:17:20 --> 00:17:22
			you will confirm that it is the truth,

00:17:22 --> 00:17:24
			and that even if you all came together,

00:17:25 --> 00:17:27
			humans and jinn, you would not be able

00:17:27 --> 00:17:29
			to produce the like of it, therefore you

00:17:29 --> 00:17:33
			are left with two choices either you may

00:17:33 --> 00:17:35
			believe in it and follow its guidance, or

00:17:35 --> 00:17:37
			you can stubbornly persist in following what you

00:17:37 --> 00:17:42
			know of falsehood ok, very simple, straightforward logic

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45
			that cornered them so, because one of their

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46
			claims is that Muhammad made up the Quran

00:17:46 --> 00:17:50
			he just invented the Quran so Allah says,

00:17:50 --> 00:17:53
			ok, you are the most eloquent of all

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55
			of the creation you have such a mastery

00:17:55 --> 00:17:58
			of the language and you have the best

00:17:58 --> 00:18:01
			poets, and the best speakers, so go ahead

00:18:01 --> 00:18:03
			produce it, and not only one of you

00:18:03 --> 00:18:06
			so you are claiming that Muhammad produced all

00:18:06 --> 00:18:08
			of this Quran by himself so you have

00:18:08 --> 00:18:12
			poets who are known for their eloquence more

00:18:12 --> 00:18:15
			than Prophet Muhammad all of you gather together

00:18:15 --> 00:18:17
			and come up with one surah like it

00:18:18 --> 00:18:20
			if your claim is true, then you should

00:18:20 --> 00:18:25
			produce something better than Muhammad and obviously you

00:18:25 --> 00:18:29
			couldn't, the only possible conclusion is that you

00:18:29 --> 00:18:32
			are just, you know, rejecting and you are

00:18:32 --> 00:18:38
			being obstinate you are obstinately rejecting the message

00:18:38 --> 00:18:39
			from the Prophet peace and blessings be upon

00:18:39 --> 00:19:13
			him he said Quran

00:19:13 --> 00:19:22
			Quran Quran

00:19:22 --> 00:19:37
			Quran

00:19:37 --> 00:19:51
			Quran Quran Quran Quran

00:20:07 --> 00:20:07
			Quran Quran Quran Quran Quran Quran Quran Quran

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11
			Quran Quran وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُمْ عِلْمٌ تَامٌ وَيَقِينٌ يُوْجِبُ

00:20:11 --> 00:20:18
			لَهُمُ الْإِنْتِفَاعَ بِالْأَدِلَّةِ الشَّرْعِيَّةِ وَالْعَقْلِيَّةِ Were they

00:20:18 --> 00:20:21
			created by nothing, or were they themselves the

00:20:21 --> 00:20:21
			creators?

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24
			This is an argument against them, by presenting

00:20:24 --> 00:20:27
			an argument that leaves them with no choice

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29
			but to submit to it, or to go

00:20:29 --> 00:20:31
			beyond the framework of reason and religious teachings,

00:20:32 --> 00:20:34
			and thus demonstrate how lost they are.

00:20:34 --> 00:20:37
			To explain further, they deny the oneness of

00:20:37 --> 00:20:40
			Allah and reject His Messenger, which leads to

00:20:40 --> 00:20:42
			denying that Allah created them.

00:20:42 --> 00:20:44
			But it is well established on the basis

00:20:44 --> 00:20:47
			of reason, as well as religious teaching, with

00:20:47 --> 00:20:50
			regard to the issue of creation, that only

00:20:50 --> 00:20:52
			one of three scenarios may apply.

00:20:52 --> 00:20:55
			Either they were created by nothing, in other

00:20:55 --> 00:20:57
			words, there is no creator who created them,

00:20:58 --> 00:21:01
			rather they came into existence without anyone to

00:21:01 --> 00:21:03
			bring them into existence, which is impossible.

00:21:03 --> 00:21:07
			Or they created themselves, which is also impossible,

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09
			because it cannot be imagined that they brought

00:21:09 --> 00:21:11
			themselves into existence.

00:21:11 --> 00:21:14
			Having ruled out these two scenarios, it is

00:21:14 --> 00:21:16
			clear that they are impossible.

00:21:17 --> 00:21:20
			It becomes clear that the only answer is

00:21:20 --> 00:21:22
			the third scenario, which is that it is

00:21:22 --> 00:21:23
			Allah who created them.

00:21:23 --> 00:21:25
			Once that is established, it is known that

00:21:25 --> 00:21:28
			Allah is the only one who is deserving

00:21:28 --> 00:21:31
			of worship, the only one to whom worship

00:21:31 --> 00:21:33
			should be devoted, and it is not right

00:21:33 --> 00:21:35
			or proper to worship any except Him.

00:21:36 --> 00:21:38
			Or did they create the heavens and the

00:21:38 --> 00:21:38
			earth?

00:21:38 --> 00:21:40
			This is a question which indicates that they

00:21:40 --> 00:21:41
			did not do that.

00:21:42 --> 00:21:48
			In other words, they did not create the

00:21:48 --> 00:21:50
			heavens and the earth, because in that case

00:21:50 --> 00:21:51
			they would be partners with Allah.

00:21:52 --> 00:21:55
			This is very clear, because the disbelievers lack

00:21:55 --> 00:21:57
			certainty of faith, that is, they do not

00:21:57 --> 00:22:00
			have proper knowledge or any certainty that would

00:22:00 --> 00:22:02
			make them benefit from the textual and rational

00:22:02 --> 00:22:03
			evidence.

00:22:03 --> 00:22:05
			Again, so Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala here

00:22:05 --> 00:22:11
			is laying out their arguments and showing that

00:22:11 --> 00:22:17
			the arguments will, by necessity, lead to impossible

00:22:17 --> 00:22:18
			answers.

00:22:19 --> 00:22:20
			Impossible answers.

00:22:21 --> 00:22:24
			So Allah says, because the argument of Prophet

00:22:24 --> 00:22:26
			Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the argument in

00:22:26 --> 00:22:27
			the Quran is that Allah created you, since

00:22:27 --> 00:22:31
			He created you and gave you everything, and

00:22:31 --> 00:22:34
			He owns you and He controls you, then

00:22:34 --> 00:22:35
			you owe Him worship.

00:22:36 --> 00:22:36
			Simple conclusion.

00:22:37 --> 00:22:40
			He created, so you ought to seek Him.

00:22:41 --> 00:22:43
			He started you, and you ought to make

00:22:43 --> 00:22:44
			your way back to Him.

00:22:45 --> 00:22:45
			Right?

00:22:46 --> 00:22:47
			So that's the only conclusion.

00:22:48 --> 00:22:50
			So Allah says, if you are not willing

00:22:50 --> 00:22:53
			to worship Allah, that means you have to

00:22:53 --> 00:22:55
			deny that He created you.

00:22:56 --> 00:22:57
			You have to deny.

00:22:58 --> 00:23:00
			Because if you agree that He created you,

00:23:00 --> 00:23:03
			that means you owe Him worship.

00:23:04 --> 00:23:06
			He created you, He designed you, He brought

00:23:06 --> 00:23:09
			you into existence, He provided for you, and

00:23:09 --> 00:23:10
			you're dependent on Him, so you need Him.

00:23:11 --> 00:23:12
			That's what worship is.

00:23:12 --> 00:23:13
			You need Allah, so you seek Him.

00:23:13 --> 00:23:17
			So there's no way they could argue against

00:23:17 --> 00:23:17
			this.

00:23:17 --> 00:23:20
			So Allah says, if you are denying this

00:23:20 --> 00:23:24
			obligation of worship, then you have to deny

00:23:24 --> 00:23:26
			the fact that He created you.

00:23:26 --> 00:23:27
			Right?

00:23:27 --> 00:23:31
			So if He did not create you, how

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32
			did you come into existence?

00:23:32 --> 00:23:33
			Let's look at the possibilities.

00:23:35 --> 00:23:39
			Either you were created from nothing, which obviously

00:23:39 --> 00:23:40
			everyone knows that.

00:23:40 --> 00:23:43
			There is nothing that comes, that you can't

00:23:43 --> 00:23:44
			bring anything out of nothing.

00:23:45 --> 00:23:45
			Right?

00:23:45 --> 00:23:47
			Nothing does not produce something.

00:23:47 --> 00:23:48
			That's number one.

00:23:48 --> 00:23:51
			أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ

00:23:51 --> 00:23:52
			Or you created yourselves.

00:23:54 --> 00:23:56
			You produced your own selves.

00:23:56 --> 00:23:59
			But the thing is, before producing yourself, you

00:23:59 --> 00:23:59
			were nothing.

00:23:59 --> 00:24:03
			So these two, the only possible conclusions, other

00:24:03 --> 00:24:08
			than Allah is your creator, are illogical.

00:24:09 --> 00:24:10
			Are illogical.

00:24:10 --> 00:24:13
			So, definitely the conclusion is Allah is your

00:24:13 --> 00:24:13
			creator.

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15
			So if Allah is your creator, then you

00:24:15 --> 00:24:15
			have to worship Him.

00:24:16 --> 00:24:19
			That was basically the simple argument.

00:24:21 --> 00:24:25
			Then Allah says, أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بَلْ

00:24:25 --> 00:24:27
			لَا يُوَقِمُونَ And this is not a question.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:30
			Allah says, obviously they did not create themselves,

00:24:30 --> 00:24:31
			they did not create the heavens and the

00:24:31 --> 00:24:31
			earth.

00:24:32 --> 00:24:35
			The reality of their argument, and this is

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37
			a very helpful point.

00:24:37 --> 00:24:40
			Allah says, بَلْ لَا يُوَقِمُونَ They refuse to

00:24:40 --> 00:24:41
			accept the truth.

00:24:42 --> 00:24:43
			The truth is obvious.

00:24:45 --> 00:24:51
			So there is no point arguing with someone

00:24:52 --> 00:24:57
			whose conclusion is not based on neutrality.

00:24:58 --> 00:24:59
			So if someone is searching for the truth,

00:24:59 --> 00:25:01
			you can argue with them, you can reach

00:25:01 --> 00:25:01
			somewhere.

00:25:02 --> 00:25:06
			But if someone already has a conclusion, you

00:25:06 --> 00:25:08
			can't have a proper argument with them.

00:25:09 --> 00:25:09
			Why?

00:25:09 --> 00:25:11
			Because they've already made their mind up, and

00:25:11 --> 00:25:13
			they are just going to find any way,

00:25:13 --> 00:25:15
			they're going to escape to any argument that

00:25:15 --> 00:25:17
			seems to help them, even if it's illogical.

00:25:18 --> 00:25:20
			Even when you refute this, they will come

00:25:20 --> 00:25:23
			up with another argument.

00:25:23 --> 00:25:25
			You refute the second argument, they will come

00:25:25 --> 00:25:26
			up with a third argument.

00:25:26 --> 00:25:29
			It won't be a proper argument, but nonetheless,

00:25:30 --> 00:25:31
			it would seem like an escape to them.

00:25:32 --> 00:25:35
			But the reality is, they're not seeking the

00:25:35 --> 00:25:37
			truth, they've already made their minds up, they

00:25:37 --> 00:25:39
			have their conclusion, they're holding on to their

00:25:39 --> 00:25:41
			way of life, and this is why.

00:25:41 --> 00:25:42
			They don't want to change it.

00:25:42 --> 00:25:44
			So they know, if they accept your da

00:25:44 --> 00:25:45
			'wah, O Muhammad, they will have to change

00:25:45 --> 00:25:47
			all of this, and they are not willing

00:25:47 --> 00:25:47
			to do that.

00:25:47 --> 00:25:49
			So they are laa yuqinoon.

00:25:50 --> 00:25:50
			That's it.

00:25:50 --> 00:25:51
			That's their stance.

00:25:51 --> 00:25:53
			They don't want to accept, they don't want

00:25:53 --> 00:25:55
			to believe, they don't want to be convinced.

00:25:56 --> 00:26:01
			And this is helpful, because, you know, we

00:26:01 --> 00:26:04
			humans have a fascination to get into arguments,

00:26:04 --> 00:26:05
			and to get into debates.

00:26:06 --> 00:26:08
			We like to prove others wrong.

00:26:08 --> 00:26:09
			We like to win a debate.

00:26:09 --> 00:26:11
			It's a matter of power as well.

00:26:11 --> 00:26:12
			It's a power struggle.

00:26:12 --> 00:26:13
			It's a very powerful dynamic.

00:26:16 --> 00:26:24
			So, when you debate with someone, or when

00:26:24 --> 00:26:28
			you have an argument with someone, for your

00:26:28 --> 00:26:30
			own sake, for the health of your heart,

00:26:30 --> 00:26:34
			it's very important to know and to recognize

00:26:34 --> 00:26:36
			if this person is searching for the truth

00:26:36 --> 00:26:37
			or not.

00:26:38 --> 00:26:40
			Because if this person is just arguing for

00:26:40 --> 00:26:44
			the sake of argument, they are going to

00:26:44 --> 00:26:45
			poison your heart.

00:26:46 --> 00:26:48
			They are going to poison your heart.

00:26:48 --> 00:26:50
			You know Al-Ja'ad Ibn Darham?

00:26:50 --> 00:26:51
			Who knows Al-Ja'ad Ibn Darham?

00:26:54 --> 00:26:55
			Al-Ja'ad Ibn Darham.

00:26:56 --> 00:27:00
			You know how this whole problem started with

00:27:00 --> 00:27:02
			understanding the names and attributes of Allah?

00:27:03 --> 00:27:07
			The companions, they were Arabs, they understood the

00:27:07 --> 00:27:09
			names and attributes of Allah as the Arabs

00:27:09 --> 00:27:11
			understand them.

00:27:11 --> 00:27:12
			That's it.

00:27:12 --> 00:27:16
			The first one to bring issues with understanding

00:27:16 --> 00:27:19
			the names and attributes of Allah and he

00:27:19 --> 00:27:21
			was, you can say he was like the

00:27:21 --> 00:27:25
			forefather of the Mu'tazila and all of the

00:27:26 --> 00:27:29
			all of the subsequent groups that started having

00:27:29 --> 00:27:31
			issues with the names and attributes of Allah.

00:27:31 --> 00:27:34
			This is why scholars call them Al-Jahmiyyah.

00:27:34 --> 00:27:36
			Referring to Al-Jahm Ibn Safwan.

00:27:37 --> 00:27:39
			Al-Jahm Ibn Safwan, he was a Muslim

00:27:39 --> 00:27:41
			but he had a love for arguments and

00:27:41 --> 00:27:44
			he did not study Islam properly but he

00:27:44 --> 00:27:47
			went and he had a debate with a

00:27:47 --> 00:27:50
			group from India, Summaniyah.

00:27:51 --> 00:27:52
			As-Summaniyah.

00:27:53 --> 00:27:54
			He had a debate with them and he

00:27:54 --> 00:27:56
			wanted to prove them wrong and show them

00:27:56 --> 00:27:58
			how the concept of Allah, of God in

00:27:58 --> 00:28:01
			Islam is better than their concept of the

00:28:01 --> 00:28:01
			Divine.

00:28:03 --> 00:28:05
			So he had a long argument with them.

00:28:06 --> 00:28:08
			When the argument was over, seems to be

00:28:08 --> 00:28:11
			over days, he came back confused.

00:28:14 --> 00:28:17
			And he started a whole cascade of deviation

00:28:17 --> 00:28:20
			and issues with Aqidah, with understanding the names

00:28:20 --> 00:28:21
			and attributes of Allah.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:26
			So when you argue with someone, oh sorry,

00:28:26 --> 00:28:28
			when you have a discussion with someone, make

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29
			sure that they are sincere.

00:28:30 --> 00:28:31
			Try to look for the signs.

00:28:31 --> 00:28:33
			If you can't tell, I would say it's

00:28:33 --> 00:28:34
			better not to get engaged.

00:28:35 --> 00:28:38
			To save your faith has more priority in

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41
			Islam than taking a chance and trying to

00:28:41 --> 00:28:43
			guide someone that you don't know whether they

00:28:43 --> 00:28:44
			are looking for the truth or not.

00:28:48 --> 00:28:53
			So argument with arguments, debates in Islam are

00:28:53 --> 00:28:55
			something that is warned against for the most

00:28:55 --> 00:28:55
			part.

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58
			They are warned against more.

00:28:59 --> 00:29:01
			You can lose, you can actually lose the

00:29:01 --> 00:29:04
			argument even if you are on the truth.

00:29:04 --> 00:29:06
			Scholars have recognized this.

00:29:06 --> 00:29:19
			Shaykh al-Islam al-Tamiyyah says, Not

00:29:19 --> 00:29:22
			everyone who knows the truth can express it

00:29:22 --> 00:29:23
			in words.

00:29:24 --> 00:29:25
			Some people know the truth but they don't

00:29:25 --> 00:29:28
			have the capacity to express it in clear

00:29:28 --> 00:29:28
			words.

00:29:32 --> 00:29:34
			One of the early generations, if I'm not

00:29:34 --> 00:29:46
			mistaken, it was Imam Malik he said, Is

00:29:46 --> 00:29:51
			it that if someone comes and they are

00:29:51 --> 00:29:54
			more eloquent they are better in debate than

00:29:54 --> 00:29:57
			the first person, we start changing our religion

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59
			for what he says?

00:30:02 --> 00:30:05
			One of the Tabi'een I believe he

00:30:05 --> 00:30:12
			says, Whoever exposes their religion to a lot

00:30:12 --> 00:30:17
			of debates then he would start he would

00:30:19 --> 00:30:22
			he would hop from one methodology or one

00:30:22 --> 00:30:24
			Madhab to the other so often.

00:30:24 --> 00:30:27
			You keep jumping from one Madhab to another.

00:30:27 --> 00:30:27
			Why?

00:30:28 --> 00:30:30
			Because you bring your heart and you expose

00:30:30 --> 00:30:31
			it to people's arguments.

00:30:32 --> 00:30:32
			Don't do that.

00:30:34 --> 00:30:34
			Don't do that.

00:30:34 --> 00:30:37
			So the early generations would only engage in

00:30:37 --> 00:30:38
			debate in extreme cases.

00:30:38 --> 00:30:41
			A man came to Imam Malik Imam Malik,

00:30:41 --> 00:30:43
			Rahim Allah Ta'ala He came to Imam

00:30:43 --> 00:30:49
			Malik and he said, He said, I want

00:30:49 --> 00:30:51
			to debate with you over an issue.

00:30:53 --> 00:30:54
			If I'm not mistaken, it was Imam Malik.

00:30:54 --> 00:30:55
			I hope I'm right.

00:30:56 --> 00:30:58
			So he insists.

00:30:58 --> 00:30:59
			Imam Malik says no.

00:30:59 --> 00:31:01
			He comes close and he wants to start

00:31:01 --> 00:31:01
			a debate.

00:31:01 --> 00:31:05
			Imam Malik puts his fingers in his ears.

00:31:06 --> 00:31:07
			The man says just one word, Kalima.

00:31:08 --> 00:31:11
			So Imam Malik catches this and he says,

00:31:12 --> 00:31:14
			Not even a quarter of a word.

00:31:14 --> 00:31:16
			He puts his fingers back.

00:31:16 --> 00:31:17
			That's Imam Malik.

00:31:18 --> 00:31:19
			Imam Al-Madina.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:21
			One of the great Imams of the Muslims.

00:31:21 --> 00:31:23
			Was he afraid of debate?

00:31:23 --> 00:31:27
			Yes, he was concerned for his heart.

00:31:28 --> 00:31:29
			So don't get into debates.

00:31:30 --> 00:31:32
			Debates are only as we said, in extreme

00:31:32 --> 00:31:35
			cases when it's most likely to expose the

00:31:35 --> 00:31:35
			truth.

00:31:36 --> 00:31:39
			The Prophet ﷺ and he's the Prophet ﷺ

00:31:39 --> 00:31:46
			He said, يَأْتِينِ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيَكُونُ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ

00:31:46 --> 00:31:50
			أَخِيهِ فَأَحْكُمُ لَهُ بِحَقِّ أَخِيهِ فَلَا يَأْخُذْ هَا

00:31:50 --> 00:31:53
			فَإِنَّمَا يَأْخُذُ قِطْعَةً يَأْتِينِ أَحْكُمُ لَهُ بِحَقِّ أَخِيهِ

00:31:53 --> 00:31:55
			Some of you come with a debate you're

00:31:55 --> 00:31:58
			debating over something and you come to meet,

00:31:58 --> 00:32:02
			to arbitrate to judge between you and one

00:32:02 --> 00:32:06
			of you is well spoken speaks better than

00:32:06 --> 00:32:10
			the other person right, so I'm convinced so

00:32:10 --> 00:32:12
			I make a judgement in his favour and

00:32:12 --> 00:32:15
			if it's not and it might be the

00:32:15 --> 00:32:17
			right of his brother don't take it in

00:32:17 --> 00:32:19
			this case, because it's a piece of the

00:32:19 --> 00:32:22
			fire and that's the Prophet ﷺ and here

00:32:22 --> 00:32:25
			the Prophet ﷺ said إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرَةٌ

00:32:25 --> 00:32:29
			some speech is like magic some speech is

00:32:29 --> 00:32:33
			mesmerizing and it confuses you so don't expose

00:32:33 --> 00:32:36
			your religion and your mind to debates you

00:32:36 --> 00:32:39
			might say what about online debates a minority

00:32:39 --> 00:32:43
			of them is good a minority of them

00:32:43 --> 00:32:45
			is good and some brothers, mashaAllah these days

00:32:45 --> 00:32:49
			some, actually I would say mainly one or

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51
			two are doing good debates, but a lot

00:32:51 --> 00:32:52
			of the other debates are actually not good

00:32:52 --> 00:32:56
			and they confuse you about your religion and

00:32:56 --> 00:32:58
			some debates are good and they will confuse

00:32:58 --> 00:33:01
			you about your religion don't learn your religion

00:33:01 --> 00:33:05
			from debates if you learn your religion from

00:33:05 --> 00:33:10
			debates you will have a very inconsistent knowledge

00:33:10 --> 00:33:14
			about Islam don't learn from debates da'wah

00:33:14 --> 00:33:17
			is not debates sometimes you will need it

00:33:17 --> 00:33:21
			sometimes or sometimes some of us a minority

00:33:21 --> 00:33:23
			will need it but it's best to avoid

00:33:23 --> 00:33:26
			it and some people quote scholars because they

00:33:26 --> 00:33:28
			used to study things and among them was

00:33:28 --> 00:33:31
			al-munathara al-munathara among the scholars although

00:33:31 --> 00:33:35
			today we call debates munathara it did not

00:33:35 --> 00:33:39
			mean debates it was discussions among the fuqaha

00:33:39 --> 00:33:42
			so they would bring an issue a question

00:33:42 --> 00:33:45
			and they would bring the different opinions about

00:33:45 --> 00:33:48
			it and this scholar would take this stance

00:33:48 --> 00:33:49
			and the other one would take the other

00:33:49 --> 00:33:53
			stance and they would present the proofs to

00:33:53 --> 00:33:55
			see how they weigh against each other if

00:33:55 --> 00:33:57
			they could find a flaw in that so

00:33:57 --> 00:33:58
			it was a discussion, it was not a

00:33:58 --> 00:34:01
			debate so people take that and say scholars

00:34:01 --> 00:34:03
			used to debate all the time no, it

00:34:03 --> 00:34:07
			was discussions it was discussions they would bring

00:34:07 --> 00:34:09
			the evidence and they would weigh it against

00:34:09 --> 00:34:12
			each other everyone would try to show the

00:34:12 --> 00:34:15
			flaw in the other person's understanding it's not

00:34:15 --> 00:34:17
			a debate, it's a discussion to find exactly

00:34:17 --> 00:34:19
			what's wrong with the argument but in debates

00:34:19 --> 00:34:21
			there's a lot of psychology, there's a lot

00:34:21 --> 00:34:28
			of power, you know, tacit power tactics ok

00:34:30 --> 00:34:32
			let's continue or do they have the treasures

00:34:32 --> 00:34:34
			of your Lord or are they the controllers

00:34:34 --> 00:34:36
			i.e. do these liars have the treasures

00:34:36 --> 00:34:38
			of your Lord's mercy so they give what

00:34:38 --> 00:34:41
			they want and prevent what they want i

00:34:41 --> 00:34:43
			.e. that's why they stopped Allah from giving

00:34:43 --> 00:34:45
			the prophethood to his servant and his messenger

00:34:45 --> 00:34:48
			Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him as

00:34:48 --> 00:34:50
			if they are the guardians who control the

00:34:50 --> 00:34:52
			treasures of Allah's mercy and they are lower

00:34:52 --> 00:34:55
			than that so they have no benefit or

00:34:55 --> 00:34:59
			harm no death, no life, no resurrection do

00:34:59 --> 00:35:01
			they share the mercy of your Lord we

00:35:01 --> 00:35:03
			have shared among them their life in the

00:35:03 --> 00:35:05
			life of this world or are they the

00:35:05 --> 00:35:08
			controllers i.e. those who control the creation

00:35:08 --> 00:35:10
			of Allah and His kingdom by oppression and

00:35:10 --> 00:35:12
			* it's not like that, but they are

00:35:12 --> 00:35:15
			the weak, the poor or do they have

00:35:15 --> 00:35:17
			a ladder to listen to i.e. do

00:35:17 --> 00:35:19
			they have the knowledge of the unseen and

00:35:19 --> 00:35:21
			listening to it among the highest so they

00:35:21 --> 00:35:23
			tell us about things that no one else

00:35:23 --> 00:35:26
			knows so let their listener come to that

00:35:26 --> 00:35:28
			with a clear authority and how is that

00:35:28 --> 00:35:30
			possible and Allah knows the unseen and the

00:35:30 --> 00:35:32
			witnessed so He doesn't reveal to anyone the

00:35:32 --> 00:35:34
			unseen except the one who is pleased with

00:35:34 --> 00:35:36
			the messenger and tells him what he wants

00:35:36 --> 00:35:38
			from his knowledge and if Muhammad peace and

00:35:38 --> 00:35:40
			blessings be upon him is the best of

00:35:40 --> 00:35:41
			the messengers and the best of their leaders

00:35:41 --> 00:35:42
			and he is the one who tells what

00:35:42 --> 00:35:44
			he has been told from the oneness of

00:35:44 --> 00:35:46
			Allah and his promise and his promise and

00:35:46 --> 00:35:49
			other truthful news and the liars are the

00:35:49 --> 00:35:54
			people of ignorance and misguidance and stubbornness and

00:35:54 --> 00:35:56
			stubbornness so O informers, you have the right

00:35:56 --> 00:35:59
			to accept his news especially when the messenger

00:35:59 --> 00:36:01
			peace and blessings be upon him has established

00:36:01 --> 00:36:03
			from the evidences and the proofs on what

00:36:03 --> 00:36:07
			he has been told what must be his

00:36:07 --> 00:36:09
			news the eye of certainty and the most

00:36:09 --> 00:36:10
			complete truth and they did not establish on

00:36:10 --> 00:36:17
			what they called it a suspicion or do

00:36:17 --> 00:36:20
			they possess the treasuries of your lord or

00:36:20 --> 00:36:23
			do they rule supreme that is, do these

00:36:23 --> 00:36:26
			disbelievers possess the treasuries of your lord's mercy

00:36:26 --> 00:36:28
			so that they may give it to whomever

00:36:28 --> 00:36:30
			they wish and withhold it from whomever they

00:36:30 --> 00:36:34
			want so that is why they wanted to

00:36:34 --> 00:36:36
			prevent Allah from bestowing the prophethood upon his

00:36:36 --> 00:36:38
			slave and messenger Muhammad peace and blessings be

00:36:38 --> 00:36:41
			upon him as if they were in charge

00:36:41 --> 00:36:43
			of the treasuries of Allah's mercy when they

00:36:43 --> 00:36:46
			are too insignificant for that for they have

00:36:46 --> 00:36:49
			no power to benefit or harm themselves or

00:36:49 --> 00:36:52
			to cause death, give life or resurrect is

00:36:52 --> 00:36:54
			it they who distribute the blessings of your

00:36:54 --> 00:36:57
			lord it is we who distribute their livelihood

00:36:57 --> 00:36:59
			among them in the life of this world

00:37:00 --> 00:37:02
			or do they rule supreme that is, do

00:37:02 --> 00:37:05
			they have authority over the creation and dominion

00:37:05 --> 00:37:07
			of Allah by means of force and strength

00:37:07 --> 00:37:09
			that is not so rather they are helpless

00:37:09 --> 00:37:12
			and weak do they have a means of

00:37:12 --> 00:37:14
			ascending to heaven in order to listen to

00:37:14 --> 00:37:17
			those on high that is, do they have

00:37:17 --> 00:37:19
			the ability to find out about the unseen

00:37:19 --> 00:37:22
			and listen to those on high so that

00:37:22 --> 00:37:24
			they are told about matters that no one

00:37:24 --> 00:37:27
			else knows then let their listener who makes

00:37:27 --> 00:37:31
			that claim produce clear proof but where will

00:37:31 --> 00:37:33
			he get that from Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:37:33 --> 00:37:35
			'ala is the knower of the unseen and

00:37:35 --> 00:37:37
			the seen and he does not allow anyone

00:37:37 --> 00:37:40
			to learn about the unseen except the messengers

00:37:40 --> 00:37:43
			with whom he is pleased whom he tells

00:37:43 --> 00:37:46
			whatever he wills because Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa

00:37:46 --> 00:37:48
			sallam is the best and most knowledgeable of

00:37:48 --> 00:37:50
			the messengers and their leader and is the

00:37:50 --> 00:37:53
			one who conveyed whatever he was told about

00:37:53 --> 00:37:56
			the oneness of Allah his promise and warning

00:37:56 --> 00:37:58
			and other matters of truth whereas the deniers

00:37:58 --> 00:38:02
			are the people of ignorance, misguidance, transgression and

00:38:02 --> 00:38:04
			stubbornness then which of the two parties is

00:38:04 --> 00:38:08
			more deserving of having their word accepted especially

00:38:08 --> 00:38:10
			since the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has

00:38:10 --> 00:38:13
			established proof and evidence for what he said

00:38:13 --> 00:38:16
			which makes what he said something very certain

00:38:16 --> 00:38:19
			and most truthful whereas they have not established

00:38:19 --> 00:38:22
			any argument for their claims let alone clear

00:38:22 --> 00:38:25
			proof ok, I guess this is obvious Allah

00:38:25 --> 00:38:27
			subhanahu wa ta'ala is just saying again,

00:38:27 --> 00:38:30
			they are trying to dictate who should get

00:38:30 --> 00:38:32
			the message and who should not get the

00:38:32 --> 00:38:34
			message they feel entitled that they should choose

00:38:34 --> 00:38:36
			as they said in another, Allah talks about

00:38:36 --> 00:38:39
			them in another verse وَقَالُوا لَوْ لَا أُنزِلَ

00:38:39 --> 00:38:43
			هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الْقَرِّيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٌ this

00:38:43 --> 00:38:46
			is what Allah says أَهُمْ يَغْصِمُونَ رَحْمَةً رَبِّكَ

00:38:46 --> 00:38:48
			they said, the Quran should have been revealed

00:38:48 --> 00:38:50
			or sent down on a man from the

00:38:50 --> 00:38:54
			two cities, right Mecca and Al-Taif, because

00:38:54 --> 00:38:56
			they were like twin cities a man from

00:38:56 --> 00:38:58
			these two cities who is great, why Muhammad?

00:38:58 --> 00:39:02
			just an average person should be someone noble

00:39:02 --> 00:39:05
			among them someone like from the elite right,

00:39:05 --> 00:39:07
			Allah says it's Allah who knows where to

00:39:07 --> 00:39:10
			put his message and Allah knows by the

00:39:10 --> 00:39:15
			way where to put his blessings Allah knows

00:39:15 --> 00:39:17
			where to put wealth Allah knows where to

00:39:17 --> 00:39:20
			put poverty Allah knows where to put ease

00:39:20 --> 00:39:24
			Allah knows where to put hardship Allah knows

00:39:24 --> 00:39:26
			where to put intelligence Allah knows where to

00:39:26 --> 00:39:31
			put dumbness everything there is the Qadar of

00:39:31 --> 00:39:35
			Allah and Allah puts everything in the best

00:39:35 --> 00:39:37
			place and Allah knows where to put guidance

00:39:37 --> 00:39:42
			and where to put misguidance so all of

00:39:42 --> 00:39:45
			that is by the will of Allah which

00:39:45 --> 00:39:48
			runs according to his knowledge wisdom and rahmah

00:39:48 --> 00:39:52
			let's continue وَقَوْلُهُ أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ أَيْ كَمَا

00:39:52 --> 00:39:57
			زَعَمْتُمْ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ فَتَجْمَعُونَ بَيْنَ الْمَحْذُورَينَ جَعْلُكُمْ

00:39:57 --> 00:40:01
			لَهُ الْوَلَدُ وَاخْتِيَارُكُمْ لَهُ أَنْقَصَ الصِّنْفَيْنَ فَهَلْ بَعْدَ

00:40:01 --> 00:40:05
			هَذَا التَّنَقُصِ لَرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ غَايةٌ أَوْ دُونَهُ نِهَايَةٌ

00:40:05 --> 00:40:08
			أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ أَجْرًا عَلَى تَبْلِيغِ

00:40:08 --> 00:40:11
			الرِّسَالَةِ فَهُمْ مِّن مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ أي ليس الأمر

00:40:11 --> 00:40:14
			كذلك بل أنت الحريص على تعليمهم تبرعا من

00:40:14 --> 00:40:17
			غير شيء بل تبذل لهم الأموال الجزيلة على

00:40:17 --> 00:40:22
			قبول رسالتك والاستجابة لأمريكا ودعوتك وتعطي المؤلفة قلوبهم

00:40:22 --> 00:40:27
			ليتمكن العلم والإيمان من قلوبهم أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ

00:40:27 --> 00:40:30
			فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ أي ما كانوا يعلمونه من الغيوب

00:40:30 --> 00:40:33
			فيكونون قد اطلعوا على ما لم يطلع عليه

00:40:33 --> 00:40:37
			رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فَعَارَضُوهُ وَعَانَدُوهُ

00:40:37 --> 00:40:40
			بِمَا عِنْدَهُمْ مِنْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ وَقَدْ عُلِمَ أَنَّهُمُ

00:40:40 --> 00:40:43
			الْأُمَّةُ الْأُمِّيَّةُ الْجُهَالُ الضَّالُونَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله

00:40:43 --> 00:40:46
			عليه وسلم هو الذي عنده من العلم أعظم

00:40:46 --> 00:40:49
			من غيره وأنبأه الله من علم الغيب على

00:40:49 --> 00:40:51
			ما لم يطلع عليه أحدا من الخلق وهذا

00:40:51 --> 00:40:55
			كله الزام لهم بالطرق العقلية والنقلية على فساد

00:40:55 --> 00:41:00
			عقولهم على فساد قولهم وتصوير بطلانه بأحسن الطرق

00:41:00 --> 00:41:05
			وأوضحها وأسلمها من الاعتراض وقوله أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا

00:41:05 --> 00:41:09
			بِقَدْحِهِمْ فِيكَ وَفِي مَا جِئْتَهُمْ بِهِ أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ

00:41:09 --> 00:41:14
			كَيْدًا يُبْطِلُونَ بِهِ دِينَكَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ بِهِ أَمْرَكَ فَالَّذِينَ

00:41:14 --> 00:41:18
			كَفَرُوهُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ أي كيدهم في نحورهم وما ضرته

00:41:18 --> 00:41:21
			عائدة إليهم وقد فعل الله ذلك ولله الحمد

00:41:21 --> 00:41:25
			فلم يبقي الكفار على مقدوره من المكر شيئا

00:41:25 --> 00:41:29
			إلا فعلوه فنصر الله نبيه ودينه عليهم وخذلهم

00:41:29 --> 00:45:40
			وانتصر منهم Okay,

00:45:42 --> 00:45:44
			so these are some of the arguments and

00:45:44 --> 00:45:49
			possible arguments that some of them, or someone

00:45:49 --> 00:45:50
			who is not fully aware of the situation

00:45:50 --> 00:45:53
			might think they have a weight on why

00:45:53 --> 00:45:56
			they are rejecting the message of Prophet Muhammad

00:45:56 --> 00:45:57
			ﷺ.

00:45:59 --> 00:46:00
			First, their entitlement.

00:46:02 --> 00:46:03
			They always thought that they were the nobles,

00:46:04 --> 00:46:05
			that they are better than others, so they

00:46:05 --> 00:46:06
			deserve more.

00:46:06 --> 00:46:10
			They deserve the wealth, they deserve to have

00:46:10 --> 00:46:12
			lots of kids and children and progeny, which

00:46:12 --> 00:46:15
			is obviously a lot of power, a source

00:46:15 --> 00:46:17
			of a lot of power and strength.

00:46:18 --> 00:46:19
			And also status.

00:46:21 --> 00:46:25
			And they ascribed to Allah ﷻ to have

00:46:25 --> 00:46:29
			daughters, because some of them claimed that the

00:46:29 --> 00:46:30
			angels are females.

00:46:31 --> 00:46:35
			وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَاثًا That's

00:46:35 --> 00:46:36
			what Allah says about them.

00:46:37 --> 00:46:39
			Some of them claimed that the angels were

00:46:39 --> 00:46:43
			females and that they were the daughters of

00:46:43 --> 00:46:44
			Allah ﷻ.

00:46:44 --> 00:46:47
			They say, we have the strong guys, we

00:46:47 --> 00:46:49
			have boys, we have lots of boys who

00:46:49 --> 00:46:51
			can fight in war and things like that.

00:46:51 --> 00:46:54
			So how does this relate to our times?

00:46:55 --> 00:46:56
			It's entitlement.

00:47:00 --> 00:47:01
			Supremacy.

00:47:01 --> 00:47:02
			A sense of supremacy.

00:47:02 --> 00:47:06
			Either because of wealth, either because of lineage,

00:47:07 --> 00:47:10
			or because of color, or because of ethnicity,

00:47:12 --> 00:47:14
			or because of the family, or because of

00:47:14 --> 00:47:17
			the caste or the class that you belong

00:47:17 --> 00:47:18
			to, and so on and so forth.

00:47:19 --> 00:47:21
			And this is a common disease among humans.

00:47:22 --> 00:47:23
			I am from this tribe.

00:47:23 --> 00:47:25
			I am from this ethnicity.

00:47:26 --> 00:47:29
			We speak this dialect, right?

00:47:29 --> 00:47:30
			So we are better than others.

00:47:31 --> 00:47:36
			All of that is kibr, is arrogance and

00:47:36 --> 00:47:41
			pride that Allah ﷻ dislikes.

00:47:42 --> 00:47:45
			One of the reasons that it is distasteful

00:47:45 --> 00:47:47
			is that it blinds people to the truth.

00:47:48 --> 00:47:51
			Because one of the most important conditions for

00:47:51 --> 00:47:53
			learning is humility.

00:47:55 --> 00:47:58
			A person who is not humble cannot learn.

00:47:59 --> 00:48:00
			They cannot learn.

00:48:00 --> 00:48:02
			Because what you know is like a mountain

00:48:02 --> 00:48:03
			in front of you.

00:48:03 --> 00:48:04
			You can't see what's beyond it.

00:48:07 --> 00:48:10
			So humility is key for learning.

00:48:11 --> 00:48:14
			Most people fail to learn because they are

00:48:14 --> 00:48:18
			too arrogant to do the things that would

00:48:18 --> 00:48:19
			facilitate knowledge for them.

00:48:20 --> 00:48:22
			And you know, today we say ego.

00:48:22 --> 00:48:25
			Again, we borrow this concept from Christianity.

00:48:28 --> 00:48:31
			And then we stop talking about al-kibr.

00:48:32 --> 00:48:32
			This is al-kibr.

00:48:33 --> 00:48:35
			Then all of us start using ego.

00:48:37 --> 00:48:38
			I myself am guilty of this.

00:48:38 --> 00:48:42
			But actually, al-kibr is one of the

00:48:42 --> 00:48:45
			biggest diseases of the heart, which was a

00:48:45 --> 00:48:47
			hallmark of shaitan, al-kibr.

00:48:48 --> 00:48:50
			So that blinds you to the truth.

00:48:50 --> 00:48:50
			You can't see.

00:48:50 --> 00:48:52
			If you have kibr, you can't see the

00:48:52 --> 00:48:52
			truth.

00:48:52 --> 00:48:53
			You won't accept the truth.

00:48:53 --> 00:48:56
			It becomes a threat to your status, to

00:48:56 --> 00:49:01
			your perceived greatness, to your imaginary glory.

00:49:01 --> 00:49:04
			So this is why it's important to be

00:49:04 --> 00:49:05
			humble.

00:49:06 --> 00:49:10
			And Imam al-Dhahabi, he warned the students

00:49:10 --> 00:49:13
			of knowledge against being someone with kibr.

00:49:15 --> 00:49:16
			Because knowledge gives you kibr.

00:49:18 --> 00:49:21
			Yes, when you learn something, it gives you

00:49:21 --> 00:49:21
			kibr.

00:49:22 --> 00:49:24
			You start to have an inflated sense of

00:49:24 --> 00:49:25
			self.

00:49:25 --> 00:49:25
			Why?

00:49:25 --> 00:49:27
			Because you know more than others, even if

00:49:27 --> 00:49:28
			it's little.

00:49:30 --> 00:49:34
			Sufyan al-Thawri, he said, إِنَّ لِلْعِلْمِ طُغْيَانًا

00:49:34 --> 00:49:37
			كَطُغْيَانِ الْمَالِ Knowledge gives you a sense of

00:49:37 --> 00:49:38
			transgression.

00:49:39 --> 00:49:41
			And tughyan here comes from kibr.

00:49:41 --> 00:49:43
			And a sense of arrogance.

00:49:44 --> 00:49:45
			You sense you are too big.

00:49:47 --> 00:49:48
			Knowledge gives you that sense.

00:49:49 --> 00:49:51
			Just like wealth gives you that sense.

00:49:52 --> 00:49:53
			This is why knowledge is dangerous.

00:49:54 --> 00:49:59
			Many scholars said, العِلْمُ بِلَى تَزْكِيَةٍ يُوْدِي بِكَ

00:49:59 --> 00:50:03
			إِلَى النَّارِ Knowledge without tazkiya takes you to

00:50:03 --> 00:50:04
			the hellfire.

00:50:05 --> 00:50:07
			And people are rushing to learn knowledge, learn

00:50:07 --> 00:50:08
			knowledge.

00:50:08 --> 00:50:11
			Tell them about tazkiya, Oh, some heart softeners

00:50:11 --> 00:50:11
			later on.

00:50:13 --> 00:50:16
			That's for guys who want to feel emotional,

00:50:16 --> 00:50:18
			soft-spoken, heart softeners, right?

00:50:19 --> 00:50:21
			We want to learn the solid knowledge.

00:50:21 --> 00:50:23
			We want to be strong believers, right?

00:50:24 --> 00:50:27
			That's not what the earlier generations did in

00:50:27 --> 00:50:28
			the past.

00:50:29 --> 00:50:33
			Because if you learn knowledge without proper treatment

00:50:33 --> 00:50:36
			of your heart, then it's going to give

00:50:36 --> 00:50:37
			you pride.

00:50:38 --> 00:50:40
			It's going to make you arrogant.

00:50:40 --> 00:50:42
			It's going to make you seek other than

00:50:42 --> 00:50:42
			Allah.

00:50:42 --> 00:50:45
			إِنَّ لِلْعِلْمِ طُغْيَانًا كَطُغْيَانِ الْمَالِ So this is

00:50:45 --> 00:50:48
			why Imam Al-Dhahabi, he used to say

00:50:48 --> 00:50:50
			to the students of knowledge, لا تَكُنْ أَبَا

00:50:50 --> 00:50:53
			شِبْر Do not be the man of the

00:50:53 --> 00:50:54
			first qubit.

00:50:56 --> 00:50:57
			He says, because knowledge is three levels.

00:50:58 --> 00:51:01
			First qubit, second qubit, third qubit.

00:51:02 --> 00:51:07
			He says, فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ الشِبْرَ الأَوَّلُ تَكَبَّرُ

00:51:07 --> 00:51:10
			When the student of knowledge enters the first

00:51:10 --> 00:51:14
			level of knowledge, and that first level of

00:51:14 --> 00:51:16
			knowledge, you stay in it for years, sometimes

00:51:16 --> 00:51:17
			10-15 years by the way.

00:51:17 --> 00:51:19
			So you don't think it's the first few

00:51:19 --> 00:51:20
			days in a course.

00:51:21 --> 00:51:21
			No.

00:51:22 --> 00:51:24
			This is like the first few, if you

00:51:24 --> 00:51:28
			are a very studious person, then we're talking

00:51:28 --> 00:51:30
			about the first 7-8 years.

00:51:31 --> 00:51:32
			You are in the first level.

00:51:32 --> 00:51:35
			قَالَ مَن دَخَلَ الشِبْرَ الأَوَّلُ تَكَبَّرُ Whoever enters

00:51:35 --> 00:51:37
			the first level, is going to become arrogant,

00:51:39 --> 00:51:41
			prideful, is going to see himself as something

00:51:41 --> 00:51:42
			big and important.

00:51:43 --> 00:51:47
			وَمَن دَخَلَ الشِبْرَ الثَّانِي تَوَضَعُ But who transitions

00:51:47 --> 00:51:50
			to the second level, level number two, intermediary

00:51:50 --> 00:51:52
			let's say, will become humble.

00:51:54 --> 00:51:57
			فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الشِبْرَ الثَّالِثُ If you get to

00:51:57 --> 00:52:00
			the highest level of knowledge, فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الشِبْرَ

00:52:00 --> 00:52:04
			الثَّالِثُ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ لَا يَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا When you

00:52:04 --> 00:52:06
			get to the third level, the person knows

00:52:06 --> 00:52:09
			that he or she doesn't know anything.

00:52:09 --> 00:52:11
			Like what they know is very little.

00:52:13 --> 00:52:14
			That's wisdom.

00:52:15 --> 00:52:17
			Because in the first level, second level, you

00:52:17 --> 00:52:19
			still overestimate what you know.

00:52:20 --> 00:52:22
			And you don't know what you don't know,

00:52:22 --> 00:52:24
			you don't know how big what you don't

00:52:24 --> 00:52:24
			know is.

00:52:24 --> 00:52:26
			Only when you enter the third level, you

00:52:26 --> 00:52:28
			start to see that what you know is

00:52:28 --> 00:52:31
			so tiny, and you couldn't see what you

00:52:31 --> 00:52:33
			didn't know, and how big of a thing

00:52:33 --> 00:52:33
			it is.

00:52:35 --> 00:52:36
			And that's what made you arrogant in the

00:52:36 --> 00:52:37
			first place.

00:52:40 --> 00:52:44
			So, knowledge without tazkiyah leads you to the

00:52:44 --> 00:52:45
			hellfire.

00:52:46 --> 00:52:47
			And the scholars would call the hadith in

00:52:47 --> 00:52:50
			Sahih al-Bukhari by Abu Huraira.

00:52:51 --> 00:52:54
			Abu Huraira, when he narrated this hadith, he

00:52:54 --> 00:52:55
			used to fall on his knees.

00:52:57 --> 00:52:58
			Fall, collapse.

00:52:58 --> 00:52:59
			He used to collapse.

00:53:01 --> 00:53:05
			أَوَّلُ مَن تُسَعَرُ بِهِمُ النَّاثَ أَوْلَ مَن تُسَعَرُ

00:53:05 --> 00:53:08
			بِهِمُ النَّاثَ The hellfire will be started on

00:53:08 --> 00:53:10
			our three.

00:53:10 --> 00:53:11
			First one is Qari.

00:53:12 --> 00:53:15
			Someone who has learned the Qur'an, memorized

00:53:15 --> 00:53:18
			it, memorized its meanings, and its rulings, and

00:53:18 --> 00:53:19
			its sciences.

00:53:19 --> 00:53:22
			That's the first person to enter the hellfire.

00:53:24 --> 00:53:25
			Person of knowledge.

00:53:26 --> 00:53:27
			That's why it's very dangerous.

00:53:28 --> 00:53:30
			If you want to learn knowledge, then you

00:53:30 --> 00:53:33
			have to work on your heart first and

00:53:33 --> 00:53:34
			foremost.

00:53:34 --> 00:53:36
			You have to have a huge, like a

00:53:36 --> 00:53:37
			big share of tazkiyah.

00:53:41 --> 00:53:46
			So, another possible...

00:53:46 --> 00:53:48
			So, they were arrogant, right?

00:53:48 --> 00:53:51
			They were always felt entitled, and that they...

00:53:51 --> 00:53:55
			Basically, they always deserved the best than others,

00:53:55 --> 00:53:56
			automatically.

00:53:56 --> 00:53:57
			Without any explanation.

00:53:58 --> 00:54:01
			Then, Allah says, Oh, were you, O Prophet

00:54:01 --> 00:54:03
			Muhammad ﷺ, asking them for compensation?

00:54:03 --> 00:54:06
			And that's probably why they rejected the message,

00:54:06 --> 00:54:08
			because they don't want to incur a loss.

00:54:09 --> 00:54:11
			Or maybe they have access to the world

00:54:11 --> 00:54:13
			of the unseen, and they know more than

00:54:13 --> 00:54:14
			you know, O Muhammad.

00:54:14 --> 00:54:15
			So, they have a good reason not to

00:54:15 --> 00:54:16
			believe in you.

00:54:17 --> 00:54:19
			But Allah says, no, that they are just

00:54:19 --> 00:54:22
			plotting against the truth, and all their plots

00:54:22 --> 00:54:23
			will turn against them.

00:54:23 --> 00:54:25
			And this is a universal rule.

00:54:25 --> 00:54:25
			It's in the Qur'an.

00:54:27 --> 00:54:31
			إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ

00:54:31 --> 00:54:35
			اللَّهِ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ

00:54:35 --> 00:54:38
			Those who disbelieve, they spend their wealth to

00:54:38 --> 00:54:40
			push people against the way of Allah.

00:54:41 --> 00:54:44
			They will spend their money, and then it

00:54:44 --> 00:54:46
			will be a source of grief and sorrow

00:54:46 --> 00:54:47
			on them.

00:54:47 --> 00:54:48
			It will become a source of loss.

00:54:48 --> 00:54:52
			Their own investment will backfire, and then they

00:54:52 --> 00:54:53
			will be defeated.

00:54:53 --> 00:54:54
			Universal rule.

00:54:56 --> 00:55:01
			They'll spend trillions, trillions to push people away

00:55:01 --> 00:55:03
			from Allah, to destroy the believers, to misguide

00:55:03 --> 00:55:07
			the believers, to spread corruption, mischief, and immorality,

00:55:07 --> 00:55:07
			and so on and so forth.

00:55:08 --> 00:55:12
			Eventually, it's all gonna backfire, and they will

00:55:12 --> 00:55:12
			be the losers.

00:55:13 --> 00:55:15
			Universal rule, but it's a matter of time.

00:55:16 --> 00:55:17
			It's a matter of time.

00:55:19 --> 00:55:21
			سُبْحَانَهُمْ أَمْلَهُمْ إِلَهُمْ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ Or do they

00:55:21 --> 00:55:23
			have a God other than Allah who created

00:55:23 --> 00:55:23
			them?

00:55:24 --> 00:55:26
			And this is why they are so confident,

00:55:26 --> 00:55:27
			because He can provide for them, He can

00:55:27 --> 00:55:29
			protect them, so they don't need Allah subhanahu

00:55:29 --> 00:55:30
			wa ta'ala.

00:55:31 --> 00:55:34
			All of these are obviously futile arguments.

00:55:35 --> 00:55:36
			We'll stop here.

00:55:36 --> 00:55:38
			We can take a couple of questions or

00:55:38 --> 00:55:39
			a few inshaAllah.

00:55:40 --> 00:55:42
			Can we delay the adhan five, seven minutes?

00:55:43 --> 00:55:47
			Five, six, seven, six.

00:55:48 --> 00:55:49
			Okay, inshaAllah.

00:55:49 --> 00:55:50
			Yalla, bismillah.

00:55:52 --> 00:55:53
			Questions?

00:55:53 --> 00:55:54
			Yeah.

00:55:54 --> 00:55:56
			You mentioned anti-censorship.

00:55:57 --> 00:55:58
			Anti-censorship haram?

00:55:58 --> 00:55:59
			You mentioned anti-censorship haram.

00:56:00 --> 00:56:06
			Yeah, so all these healing mechanisms, whatever, they

00:56:06 --> 00:56:10
			have their roots in those traditions.

00:56:10 --> 00:56:12
			So they are a mix.

00:56:13 --> 00:56:14
			They are a mix.

00:56:14 --> 00:56:16
			So if you can be 100% sure

00:56:16 --> 00:56:19
			that the medical aspect, the physiological aspect has

00:56:19 --> 00:56:20
			been separated, right?

00:56:21 --> 00:56:24
			And it's been proven, it's been researched scientifically,

00:56:24 --> 00:56:26
			and it does work, and it does help,

00:56:26 --> 00:56:28
			and you know the practitioner has no connection

00:56:28 --> 00:56:31
			to the philosophy behind it, I would say

00:56:31 --> 00:56:32
			yes.

00:56:33 --> 00:56:33
			Okay?

00:56:33 --> 00:56:35
			But a lot of those who, now no

00:56:35 --> 00:56:37
			one markets it as something that has to

00:56:37 --> 00:56:38
			do with the past.

00:56:38 --> 00:56:40
			They say it's scientific now, right?

00:56:41 --> 00:56:41
			Alternative medicine.

00:56:42 --> 00:56:43
			So be careful.

00:56:43 --> 00:56:45
			Because I personally have seen people who left

00:56:45 --> 00:56:48
			Islam, who were in this, who really went

00:56:48 --> 00:56:49
			for that type of treatment, and they left

00:56:49 --> 00:56:50
			Islam.

00:56:50 --> 00:56:51
			So be careful.

00:56:52 --> 00:56:52
			Sisters?

00:56:56 --> 00:56:57
			Okay.

00:56:59 --> 00:56:59
			Brothers?

00:57:00 --> 00:57:01
			Yeah.

00:57:01 --> 00:57:04
			Last week you talked about the difference between

00:57:06 --> 00:57:07
			du'a al-ibad and du'a al

00:57:07 --> 00:57:08
			-mas'ala.

00:57:08 --> 00:57:08
			Yes.

00:57:08 --> 00:57:10
			Yeah, so you explained the difference of that.

00:57:10 --> 00:57:11
			I just wanted to know, how do you

00:57:11 --> 00:57:15
			classify, like for example, the supplication of the

00:57:21 --> 00:57:21
			prophet?

00:57:21 --> 00:57:23
			It's like a statement of truth, right?

00:57:23 --> 00:57:25
			It's that statement of tawheed.

00:57:26 --> 00:57:28
			And it's not really, it's not a request.

00:57:29 --> 00:57:30
			You call it a supplication.

00:57:30 --> 00:57:32
			And then also like for example, Yeah.

00:57:34 --> 00:57:36
			You know, it's just a statement of truth.

00:57:36 --> 00:57:37
			So I just wanted to know how would

00:57:37 --> 00:57:41
			you classify statements like, is it vicar, is

00:57:41 --> 00:57:43
			it, like what does it fall under?

00:57:43 --> 00:57:43
			Very good.

00:57:44 --> 00:57:46
			Actually, the classification of du'a al-mas

00:57:46 --> 00:57:48
			'ala and du'a al-ibadah is the

00:57:48 --> 00:57:49
			answer to this.

00:57:49 --> 00:57:51
			So the brother says, last week we said

00:57:51 --> 00:57:53
			du'a, there's du'a al-ibadah and

00:57:53 --> 00:57:54
			du'a al-mas'ala.

00:57:54 --> 00:57:56
			Du'a al-mas'ala is the du

00:57:56 --> 00:57:58
			'a of asking Allah directly for something.

00:57:59 --> 00:58:01
			Du'a al-ibadah is the acts of

00:58:01 --> 00:58:01
			worship that you do.

00:58:01 --> 00:58:02
			Why are they called du'a?

00:58:03 --> 00:58:06
			Because you, when you are worshipping Allah, you're

00:58:06 --> 00:58:06
			asking Him.

00:58:07 --> 00:58:08
			When you pray, you're asking Allah.

00:58:09 --> 00:58:11
			When you give charity, you are asking Allah.

00:58:11 --> 00:58:13
			These are means, right?

00:58:13 --> 00:58:15
			To an end that you want from Allah.

00:58:15 --> 00:58:16
			You want acceptance from Him.

00:58:16 --> 00:58:17
			You want forgiveness.

00:58:17 --> 00:58:18
			You want Jannah from Him.

00:58:18 --> 00:58:20
			You want His love, right?

00:58:20 --> 00:58:24
			So they are an act of asking, an

00:58:24 --> 00:58:25
			act of du'a, but not with speech.

00:58:26 --> 00:58:28
			With your attitude and your action.

00:58:28 --> 00:58:28
			With your heart.

00:58:29 --> 00:58:29
			Your heart is asking.

00:58:30 --> 00:58:32
			So the Prophet ﷺ in du'a of

00:58:32 --> 00:58:34
			Arafah, خَيْرُ مَا كُلْتُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

00:58:35 --> 00:58:37
			لَا إِلَهَ إِلَى اللَّهُ وَهُدَاهُ وَلَا شَرِيْكَ لَا

00:58:37 --> 00:58:41
			أَحْلَمُهُ وَلَكُمْ أَحْمَدُهُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ شِيْئًا قَدِيرًا Then this

00:58:41 --> 00:58:41
			is du'a.

00:58:41 --> 00:58:44
			Because when you say these statements of truth,

00:58:44 --> 00:58:45
			you're asking Allah for acceptance.

00:58:46 --> 00:58:47
			You're asking Allah for forgiveness.

00:58:48 --> 00:58:52
			So they are, in this sense, what we

00:58:52 --> 00:58:55
			call dhikr, which is not supplication, is du

00:58:55 --> 00:58:56
			'a al-ibadah.

00:58:57 --> 00:58:59
			You're making ibadah, but you are asking Allah

00:58:59 --> 00:59:00
			bilisan al-hal.

00:59:01 --> 00:59:02
			Not bilisan al-maqal.

00:59:02 --> 00:59:04
			You're asking Allah through your state.

00:59:05 --> 00:59:07
			You're offering yourself to Allah and your actions

00:59:07 --> 00:59:10
			to Allah, and you are expecting something else.

00:59:10 --> 00:59:12
			You're hoping for something from Allah.

00:59:12 --> 00:59:18
			Acceptance, forgiveness, and jannah, right?

00:59:18 --> 00:59:20
			And the ridwan, Allah's contentment with you.

00:59:21 --> 00:59:22
			The same applies to the du'a.

00:59:23 --> 00:59:25
			And yes, many, subhanAllah, I think Ibn Taymiyyah,

00:59:25 --> 00:59:27
			rahim Allah, explained in detail the du'a

00:59:27 --> 00:59:28
			of Yunus alayhi salam.

00:59:28 --> 00:59:30
			لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ

00:59:30 --> 00:59:34
			الظَّالِمِينَ Allah says, فَنَادَ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ He called

00:59:34 --> 00:59:36
			out in the darkness.

00:59:36 --> 00:59:38
			لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ

00:59:38 --> 00:59:43
			الظَّالِمِينَ So Ibn Taymiyyah says, no one has

00:59:43 --> 00:59:45
			the right to be worshipped but you.

00:59:46 --> 00:59:49
			I am, I was, from the wrongdoers.

00:59:51 --> 00:59:57
			So Ibn Taymiyyah says, this statement, أَبْلَغُ مِنْ

00:59:57 --> 01:00:01
			سُؤَالِ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُنَجِّيَهُ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْحُوْتِ This

01:00:01 --> 01:00:05
			statement is more eloquent and more compelling in

01:00:05 --> 01:00:07
			this communication with Allah than asking directly, O

01:00:07 --> 01:00:11
			Allah, save me from the belly of the

01:00:11 --> 01:00:11
			whale.

01:00:12 --> 01:00:12
			Why?

01:00:12 --> 01:00:15
			Because he admits that the reason for his

01:00:15 --> 01:00:17
			predicament is his own wrongdoing.

01:00:20 --> 01:00:22
			So he's saying, O Allah, I am the

01:00:22 --> 01:00:24
			one who brought this upon myself.

01:00:24 --> 01:00:26
			It's my mistake and I deserve it.

01:00:26 --> 01:00:28
			Bless me with your favors.

01:00:30 --> 01:00:32
			You see, so it's even more powerful than

01:00:32 --> 01:00:33
			just the explicit du'a.

01:00:33 --> 01:00:37
			Sometimes, you know, when you are subtle in

01:00:37 --> 01:00:38
			your approach, it's way more powerful.

01:00:39 --> 01:00:40
			And the same thing applies here.

01:00:41 --> 01:00:41
			Okay?

01:00:42 --> 01:00:42
			Khair, inshaAllah.

01:00:45 --> 01:00:46
			Yeah, exactly six minutes.

01:00:47 --> 01:00:48
			JazakAllah khair, inshaAllah.

01:00:48 --> 01:00:51
			Again, maybe some of you got it wrong

01:00:51 --> 01:00:54
			or didn't hear the news that inshaAllah, this

01:00:54 --> 01:00:56
			halaqah is going to be at 6.45.

01:00:56 --> 01:00:58
			We have a soft start at 7.

01:01:00 --> 01:01:02
			It's a full swing, right?

01:01:02 --> 01:01:06
			But inshaAllah, like 6.45, bi-idhnillahi ta

01:01:06 --> 01:01:08
			'ala, I think it's more practical and convenient

01:01:08 --> 01:01:09
			for most people.

01:01:09 --> 01:01:10
			JazakAllah khairan.

01:01:11 --> 01:01:12
			Salallahu ala nabiyyina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa

01:01:12 --> 01:01:13
			ashabihi ajma'in.
