So, for those who do not know I, when I lived, I lived in Riyadh in
Saudi Arabia, back in 2012. And I was a teacher in King Saudi
University. So in my first semester, my students knew that I
knew how to speak Arabic. So they, they comfortably started to speak
with me in Arabic. And by the end of the semester, they didn't
improve their English language skills the way they should have.
So I asked some of the teachers who are experienced and they told
me, No, don't tell them you speak Arabic, because then they'll
comfortably just talk to you in Arabic. They tell him Okay, so I'm
just going to talk to them in English inshallah.
So I want the next semester, like, Oh, do you know Arabic notes talk
to me in English. I only speak English. And let's get back to the
books. So they would be talking I had a designated translator in
class. I told him, Hey, machete, can you translate this? This word
into Arabic, so they understand, and some harm I had to act like I
don't know any audibly. So the whole semester passed and hum the
leather English got better. They learned the subject they were
learning and everything. So they're like, Mr. Murad, we want
to take you and another teacher and a few of our students out to a
place called Samana. Tamara is a place where they you know, a lot
of sand dunes, soft sand, they do some drifting and whatnot. And I
went with one of my friends. One of my students, fg cruiser, he had
a, he had a Toyota, bunch of pickup trucks is like four cars.
We went out to the desert, we shot targets, had fun, coffee dates,
everything.
Now, why I'm mentioning this story,
on our way back, they said, Mr. Murad, can we drift? This is what
we do here. That's, that's our culture. I'm like, Yeah, you know,
just don't go crazy. You know, you could drift. So then we go on this
huge sand dune Hill SubhanAllah. I'm sitting in the front seat, my
seat belts off. And, you know, as usual, because in Saudi Nobody
puts their seatbelt on, you know, that's just the corner, you put
your seatbelt on, you just become a whack person, you know, they
look at you, like stop for the lobby. Because this guy do. So I
was sitting in the front, and my, my, my legs are crossed, right in
the passenger seat. And one of my students driving out to crazy
students in the back the craziest and I don't know how I got this
lineup all in one car, the three craziest students in one car. So
we're going down this huge sand dune at like 90 kilometers an
hour.
And then he starts drifting.
Right? And it was nice at first.
Then by the second turn the car, it starts to tip over and I'm
like, Leila is finished here. This is my time it's over. You know,
I'm gonna be buried inside the sin. And subhanAllah the car tips
over and it starts rolling. And I think it rose like two or three
times, I don't know. But we were like mid air and then it was
slamming and up and up. And it was just crazy. Subhanallah but
somehow, miraculously, it landed on the four wheels, right? The
student of mine, the driver, his head was under my my legs, like
all the way under, right under the glove compartment. Right. The
other crazy students I don't know what they were smoking. But they
were actually happy. It was flipping they will say good. Oh,
we go you know, like, like, like it was part of the stunt or
something. So I don't know what what these kids were on. But by
the time he got out, one of them had his arm broken. This guy had a
bruise on his head, me my knee and my head. Like I was bleeding in my
head and my knee Subhanallah was, it was crazy. Because the glass
shattered. I come out the car. And I'm just sitting down and
everybody's like, Oh, get some water. You guys. Okay? Pull them
out. Everyone's gathered up and I'm just sitting by myself. You
know, I'm like, Oh, my God, I can't believe this just happened
is my first year in Saudi Arabia. Right? And they come to me now all
this my students from the other cars and they're just huddled up
around me. I'm like Murad, teacher, moron. Are you? You okay?
And then I just look up at him. And I speak to them and out of you
know, yes. And I start I started telling you imbeciles, you know,
like an oddity, you foolish. It was the biggest mistake to come
out with you guys were like, You guys are crazy. And then and then
they just, you know, they just stare at me. And their, their jaws
dropped.
And then that crazy student who was you know, who never said
anything that made sense the whole semester. This kid, he's like, he
got hit so hard. He speaks Arabic.
Well, I and then all
These guys start cracking up while I just became a fun, funny moments
with Han Allah. And that was my experience with the accident. But
what's his Shuddh? Now Subhan Allah is how Allah subhanaw taala
sends his looks and his Rama, right? You see how, like, the
saddest moments can be not so sad, depending on how you look at them.
Right? So like, you know, I got into this accident with those
motorcycles I got upstanding and harmed a lot of damage and so many
people are paralyzed, they have they lose limbs and they stay.
They stay for their whole life you know, suffering from this one
accident and Allah with His Divine Mercy you just saved you. Same
thing with that Subhanallah people come out in pieces, right the car
flipped two or three times and then we just come out and somehow
from Allah as Rama became a laughing moment, and everybody's
just chillin joking around handle everyone's doing okay, everyone
was alive. But this is the Rama Avila guys when we look at our
situation, we always have to see Allah's mercy. We have to see
Allah's Mercy manifested in that situation. If we don't put the
lens of Allah's Mercy on, we're always going to live a life of
sadness and depression and anxiety. We're always going to be
stressed out, we're always going to be in the state of grief. But
if we, if we actually put that lens of Allah's mercy, not only
will you live a better life, but Allah will reward you for
remembering Him and His mercy in every situation. Well, can they
add their own inner Robin Robin? Right. They in times of ease and
in times of hardship, they prayed and they remembered me that's what
Allah saying. Right? Well cantilena Harsha in and they had
the state of shoot with us. So we ask Allah subhanaw taala to put
these lens these lenses on of seeing Allah's Rama His mercy
manifested in every situation possible you know, and when we see
this like it's and we don't want to help brothers
take off the lens either. If someone ALLAH blessed him with
this lens, don't help like go to Oh, yeah, you know, you're
injured.
So sad. No, I feel bad. Yeah. Okay. 100 No, no, no, I'm gonna
save me. I'm gonna hamdulillah My body's gonna walk in the door.
This is not a big deal. I'm gonna let right so help your brother.
Right when you see somebody in the state of trial going through a
hardship or something. Go and help them if their lenses aren't on you
put those glasses on for them. Tell me how you Allah hamdulillah
look what Allah gave you mashallah, you still have this you
have a ton that that you remember Allah with you have this you have
that Allah has given you so much Allahu Akbar hamdulillah Al
Hamdulillah right and you help them put it on you know? And this
is the Rama of Allah subhanho wa Taala May Allah subhanaw taala
