We'll
start our
class after sunnah, InshaAllah, in
5, 10 minutes.
Quick reminder, if you have not registered, please
register for this weekend's.
It's a great and unique opportunity
for seeking knowledge and being in the company
of
some of the most knowledgeable scholars in North
America.
So
I hope to see, Insha Allah,
any one of you who's able to make
it,
be there with us inshallah and benefit from
this.
We have 4 great scholars, Sheikh Salih Sabi,
Habilullah.
Doctor Hazmed Hajj,
who's a pediatrician and a Faqih,
scholar Fiqh, and doctor Basim Hamid who's,
a neurologist
and
also a Fakih as well, well versed in
the Shafi'i school of fiqh.
And,
doctor Ahmed Khater who
is, a professor
comparative
fiqh,
you know, a great researcher and well versed,
Masha'Allah,
in his field. So
Tae Bismillah Alhamdulillah Wassa Salaamu Alhamdulillah Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam This is one of my favorite Suras,
Surah Al Sharih.
It comes right in the Quranic order if
you notice Surah Al Duha is 93
which we can which, we covered yesterday, and
then Surat Al Shaha comes right after that.
So before we go into Surat Al Shaha,
let's just look at Surat Asha one
more time.
So Surat Al Duha
by the way both Surah's have some something
in common
Both Surahs talk about the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam and what Allah Azzawajal has favored the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
with. Both Surahs reassure the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam
and remind him of the blessings of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
upon him. And this is what I want
to, what I wanted us to,
take a look at. Look at this.
In Surah Al Duha, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
towards the end of the Surah or the
middle of the Surah. Let's start with the
middle of the Surah. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
reassures the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
Your Lord has not forsaken you nor has
he
deserted you or has he,
you know,
resented you. There is no resentment between you
and your Lord.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala promises to please the
prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and give him in
this life and in the hereafter.
Then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reminds the prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam this is where I want
us to focus.
Allah azza wa'al reminds the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam of some of his blessings upon him
and we said
after Allah
reassured the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
Allah
reminds him of his previous blessings upon him.
Were you not an orphan?
Who sheltered you? Who cared for you? Who
facilitated that for you? Who took you into
custody?
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala provided shelter
to you and through you and everyone around
you. By the way, many people around the
prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam did not realize
that actually Allah Azzajal part of the blessings
of Allah Azzajal upon them,
upon the family of the prophet and the
people of Makkah was for the sake of
Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam because they're going to
be the tribe of Muhammad. They're going to
be the host of Muhammad. They're going to
be the
care providers for Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam
in his in his childhood So Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala preserved that
parameter.
You know,
one thing we didn't mention obviously, we're gonna
come to it when we talk about Surat
Al Fil is that Allah
spared
Kaaba
and Allah
spared the the Meccans
Azzawajal
destroyed a Christian supposedly
monotheist in a monotheistic
Christian
Abraha who came from Abyssinia Allah destroyed him
for the sake of not necessarily the pagans
of Makkah but for the sake of preserving
the house and preserving the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam's chance
to come
and cleanse that place. And he there is
a beautiful Hadal
Ikhwa,
one of the brothers one time he made
a very beautiful observation. He said, Mecca
and Kaaba was a place of shirk. It
deserved to be well,
from a from a human point of view,
well, like why should it be protected?
But though the Kaaba itself had 360
idols
yet it had the potential of being cleansed
in the future
For that potential Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la spared
it and protected it But also
it's the same year the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam was born. So no coincidence.
No coincidence here.
If
the Makkans were destroyed and shattered the Prophet
SAW would have not been either born in
Makkah or he things would have been different.
So Allah SWT
spares the Makkans
and Allah Azzajal in another Surah Allah Azzajal
tells us
When the Americans
talked to the prophet SAW
with
the very arrogant attitude, I call it the
Texan attitude,
American said, oh bring it on. Where is
the adab of Allah? Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
says
Allah will not punish them while you're still
with them, oh, Muhammad. So the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam was a source of safety. He
was a safety valve for the Makkah's. They
just didn't realize it.
So Allah reminds him that when you were
most vulnerable and you were an orphan,
it it was Allah who took care of
you. Remember that. So don't let any of
these,
statements that these hateful people are saying
cause you to second guess Allah or doubt
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's care for you. Then
Allah says
and you were
lost and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guided you.
You were oblivious to your own reality and
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
taught you who you were.
And you were?
You were someone that was needy and you
didn't have resources and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
enriched you. Now here.
This is
a This is a Qur'anic
style.
It's very unique to the Quran.
You will find it in some poetry or
in some
ancient
Arab literature, but it's not commonly used.
Not only that,
but you will find it most used in
the Meccan revelations.
So Allah azza wa'am reminds them. So what
what happens? What do we see in the
second Surah? In the very following Surah?
We find
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
reminding the prophet
of more of his blessings
Has Allah not found you? Obviously, it's a
rhetorical question. The answer is obviously yes.
How does Surah Al Sharh begin?
Here Allah says
The Surah begins with reminding of the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam of Allah's blessing
perhaps
Allah's greatest
blessing upon him which is
Sharah
and that is why the Surah itself is
called Sharah wal inshirah
Sharah is a verbal noun
that means to expand
inshirah means to be expanded
So both
both titles or both names apply.
So Surah Al Shuraha
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in it talks about none other than the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala's
blessings that continue to be bestowed upon the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. So Allah Azzawajal says
to him
We're gonna stop right here. So Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala says to the Prophet
Have We not caused shah of you your
chest?
So this is what we need to break
down, these two things.
Shar was Sadr
Keywords
in this ayah.
Obviously means, have we not? Again, it's a
it's a rhetorical question.
Have we not? The answer is obviously yes.
Have we not caused
your heart
to be opened or to be expanded? What
is this talking about?
The scholars and I I believe all of
these meanings
are applicable.
All of these meanings are applicable. Number 1,
Allah Azzawajal in the Quran says
Whomever Allah Azzawajal wants to guide. And remember
in the previous Surah, Allah
says
Allah guided you and guided through you.
And Allah tells us that when Allah wants
to guide someone Yashraha Sadrahu al Islam Allah
Azza Wa Jal opens that person's
chest or heart
for Islam
and guides that person.
So that is one meaning of shah. Have
we not opened your heart? And not only
did Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guide the Prophet
to Islam, no the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
was the carrier, the deliverer,
the vehicle through whom Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
transmits this Islam, this shahab.
So he himself had to be the most
the most
or the best when it comes to his
heart being opened.
Number 2.
The scholar said this is in reference
to
the process or the procedure the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam was subjected to twice in
his lifetime.
First time,
obviously, this ayah cannot be talking about the
first one or the second one because the
second one was revealed later.
They said when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
was 5
when he was young
His foster brother the son of Halima Sadia
came rushing to her and said my brother
was seized.
Yeah. Someone took him and
dropped him
and they're doing something to him. They're
he didn't know. This little kid didn't know
what to make of it. Was was he
being kidnapped?
So when Halima caught up to the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, she found him
pale,
exhausted
as she saw
a scar on his chest.
By the way, the Sahaba said that the
prophet had a very
like a thin line like what looks like
a scar.
Very like clean-cut.
Scar on his chest.
And
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam later told
people what happened. He said that these 2
individuals
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and cut his chest open
and washed his heart Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
from,
and this happened twice. 1 1 once when
the prophet was in his childhood,
later in his adulthood Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam this
is before before Isha'an Arraj after he received
the risala
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. So some scholars said this
is in reference to that that Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala reminds the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
that it was him that opened his heart
and
cleansed his heart Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in preparation
for receiving Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's
guidance
This is the second meaning
So Shar
and Shar
means to
spread
or to expand
or to open
or to
and when you do that, happens? You see
that's why here in the translation you have,
uplifted your heart.
You see, the translation will never give you
the full meaning.
Will never give you the same you know,
this this, like, perfect,
meaning.
So Shah means all of these things.
Shah also means to expand the individual's
capacity
to not only
receive but also to give. Because in order
for you to receive, you need a pure,
right, a pure,
heart. But at the same time, in order
for you to give, you also need to
have a rich heart
or a big heart as they say. So
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks about
The the other word the keyword is
Now
it gets tricky here because this is now
these
remember this is now a metaphor.
Yani,
the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam's chest was
opened, but the
the intended,
organ or the intended
element
to be purified was what?
Mada?
What was the intended element?
The heart.
The heart.
No. So Allah subha so sometimes the words
Sadr and Kalb can be
used interchangeably.
Though they are not the same thing,
we know
the heart
is in the chest
from like right?
At like, autonomy wise,
anatomy. Right?
Anatomy tells us that the heart is in
the but now what about this is not
talking about the physical heart. It's talking about
what?
The spiritual heart.
Like, is the spiritual heart in the chest?
Yeah. The spiritual heart is in the spiritual
chest.
The spiritual heart is in the spiritual
chest.
Some scholars said, actually, the spiritual heart is
in the spirit it is in the chest.
Yeah. They I I don't want to go
into this because it's it's I don't think
it's of any use.
Some scholars believe that, YET, we don't know
the Ruah
how it manifests itself.
But
they say the Ruhe appears to have
to have a very similar
anatomy as the body.
At least, when it comes
to the main
parts like the mind,
right? In parallel to what?
The brain,
Right?
Al Aqal Muqabil
Al Muqh
You any mind?
Okay.
You know, the the spiritual heart,
right, parallel to the
physical
this organ that we call heart. The, you
know,
same thing with the chest. The spiritual
belly
with the spirit with the actual physical belly.
Some people they're they're they're a person will
come and say it says, I am hungry
for for knowledge. What is that supposed to
mean?
What is hungry for knowledge?
It's not the body that is hungry for
knowledge. That means the soul is hungry for
knowledge. The soul. So the soul appears to
have a belly
of its
own, but that knowledge feeds the mind.
Just like when you eat food,
right, your digestive system feeds the whole body
and especially
your brain.
Right?
Doctor Ibrahim
good thing we have. When we usually have
doctor Zaman we
we usually refer refer to him when it
comes to these things.
When the body is starved,
right? And then you eat something, you consume
something.
That first, that initial
portion or that energy that comes from the
glucose that comes from that
Where does it go to? Who is the
first recipient of it?
The heart, the lungs or the brain or
The brain, right?
Brain gets the most. Exactly. And you're a
critical care, you know, specialist as well. Yeah.
So
brain. So when we when we are spiritually
or intellectually
starved,
the one that needs the most
to be to for things to make sense
to fall is is the
the brain or the the mind
and there is a connection between that and
the heart. So anyways,
so Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks about the
Sadr in the Quran
to refer to the spiritual
chest. Now, how do we know that the
spirit the heart, the spiritual heart is in
the spiritual
chest?
Allah says, Fa'ina
Halatamal
Abusar, it is not the eyes that go
blind.
It is the hearts in the chest
that go blind.
So we are talking here about
insight.
We are talking about the spiritual realm here
which is and that is why they say
a person may lose his eyesight
but they are not going to lose their
insight
because the insight is related to the heart
and to the mind.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reminds the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
that he was someone whom Allah Azzawajal has
purified his heart,
has expanded his heart and increased its capacity,
has guided and and
and opened his heart Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And
this was a gift from Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala
This is a gift from Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala to the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. So
Allah reminds the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
of his favor upon upon him. And mind
you, this came at a time when the
Prophet SAWHAWA WASALLAM was feeling down. Every now
and then especially in the early Makkan period,
the Prophet SAWHAWA WASALLAM had a hard time
coping with
with the the way the Metcons responded to
him
because they had never responded to anyone the
way they responded to him sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
You know, Arabs or especially tribal leaders were
very generous, were very open, they were very
welcoming, and if someone comes to them with
something.
But when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam first
presented his dua to them, they're like, okay,
we'll listen to you. And then when they
realize
that it entails
them
seeing themselves as equals to everyone else, there's
a level of equality they were not
they were not ready for
or they they they were too arrogant to
to accept.
When it's when they realize that it entails
rejecting,
you know, what's what they have inherited from
their forefathers,
like, no,
we're not gonna do that. When they realize
that it may
put them at, you know, make them equal
to everyone else, that Quraysh
and the various tribal leaders are not going
to have
privileges over other people.
They're going to maintain some of the privileges,
but but they're not going to be any
better than anyone else.
The Quraysh
rejected
for the most part,
And
their pride will not allow them to follow
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Not only that but they became very aggressive
and very abusive to the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam and his companions.
And and the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam seeing
his companions get tortured,
seeing Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala being offended,
seeing the Kaaba being, you know, being
desecrated.
These things,
hurt the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
So Allah Azzawajal every now and then will
reveal to him something and this Surah came
to
uplift the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
and
encourage or motivate the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
and inspire him.
O Muhammad,
we relieved you from your burden.
Means to put,
but it
it's a transitive verb.
If you say
if you say
Yeah. I mean, to put an object
something on top of something, that means to
place it on top of
something.
Right.
He placed his foot on the ground.
Allah.
Allah would make the the meaning
to be on top of or over or
to cover
type.
But when you use
An implies what? The opposite.
The opposite of what Allah implies.
Means to
not to put on top, no. To lift,
to remove.
So you take something off
something.
So, it's already there,
and you take it off.
If you just say
means to put in place or to enact
something
Wada'al QANUN If someone if someone was to,
you know, they call these,
you know, when the when the salah
when do we pray Maghrib? When the sunset
happens. Right? So the sunset time coming in
is something
called
They call these Acha Muzrayyah
Right? It's put in place for us to
know that time
is time to pray
So when when when a law is is
enacted
or when a law is made,
you know, legislators come and they put a
law in place and they enact a law
They call that Anun Wadhay
Wada Akkaron
Okay. Now However,
if someone comes and says you abolish something,
you remove something,
you will say
You put the An
An will change the meaning, will make it
the opposite
So that's why Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
when speaking
about the Prophet, about the Messiah
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said to Bani Israel
sorry. When he's speaking about the prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam, he came to relieve Benu Israel
He came to uplift
or he came to remove some of the
burdens on Banu Israel
because
Banu Israel,
especially
those who who they call themselves
Jewish people
The Jews had some restrictions that were imposed
upon them by Allah that they brought upon
themselves
When the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam came, Allah
informed them in the Quran that the Messiah
that they've they've been waiting for.
When the Jews
decided to reside in Medina or the ones
who resided resided in Medina, it is because
their scriptures told them that that is the
place.
Khaybar and all the surrounding areas of Medina,
the reason they resided there
is because they were awaiting for this prophet
that is going to come.
Part of his mission
according to their scriptures
is
The reason they were waiting for him one
of the reasons they were waiting for him
is because he was going to come
with
the removal of some of the burdens that
were placed on
them and he is going to according to
their scriptures that Prophet
it was supposed to or is supposed to
or obviously
lead them
to spread Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's message upon
land, and they thought they're going to basically
dominate and control from there.
So the those 4 major tribes that moved
to Medina,
the reason they moved there was because they
knew Medina was going to be the capital
line of Isaac.
One of them.
They didn't
accept that he was supposed to be from
the line of Ismail Alaihi Wasallam.
Falima Burithan Nabi SAW Allah Alaihi Wasallam, they
rejected.
Not only did they reject him, they actually
rejected also
what he came to offer them
part of which was to lift the burdens
of them.
So they refused.
However, here's just a side note. Did you
know that the Jews in Medina when the
prophet eventually went to Medina and established
some sort of
a treaty
with the with the with with Ehud that
they used to
come They used to come seek judgment from
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
The agreement was that the Muslims
will always come to who?
To the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. If there
is any legal dispute, the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam has the
he had what? He has the he was
he had the judicial
power
over them.
The Yahud of Medina,
they had both options.
They can either
go to their own judges
or they can come to the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam.
Guess what what what they used to do?
The ones who had the the haqq,
whoever was was, let's say anytime there's a
dispute between a Jew and another,
they used to want to go to the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam because they knew he
was what? He could not be bribed.
They knew he was going to be just
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. So fakariatwunin
Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
of them.
So this is just I'm just trying to
explain the the whole idea of wallahana Anka
wazirik. So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says to
the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, oh, Muhammad,
we have lifted your burden off you.
What is that burden that Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala lifted from the Prophet Sallallahu Wa Salam?
Mahua al Wizzu al Ledi
Rapha'ahu
Here's a trick question.
What is that?
What's the burden Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala lifted
of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam?
Allah
is saying to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam, we relieved you.
We pardoned you. We lifted off you. We
removed from you your burden. What is the
burden that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
Yani? Do Istiyal
What do you think is the burden that
the Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala lifted from the
from the from the back of the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam?
Saving his Ummah. Saving his Ummah?
Memorizing the Quran?
Okay.
Al wizr,
the keyword here is wizr.
Okay. Wizr wizr
is something that is burden,
something that that that that is that weighs
down on you.
Okay.
In the Quran Allah says about
the disbelievers
or the wrongdoers, they will come on the
day of judgement
carrying their burdens.
People will carry their heavy
basically, loads on the Day of Judgement and
that is in reference to sins.
Sins can be wither but
wait.
But but wait. Wither means sin. The prophet
did he have sins?
Not major sins, minor sins?
Any other meaning for the word wizr?
In the story of according to the Quran.
And the reason I'm asking you is because
I want you to look in the Quran
and see where does the word wizard appear?
In the story of Banu Israeel Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala tells us they created when Musa
was gone They made up what?
A calf
They made the calf, they made that little
cow looking or bull looking
statue they made it out of what? Gold.
When Musa came and said, What did he
do? What were you thinking?
They had a lot of heavy loads of
gold
loose like pieces of gold that they brought
with them from Egypt.
They decided to put it all together
because they they worshiped they they did actually.
They were, by the way, the probably
capitalist worship worship wealth. They worshiped it. They
said this is the ilah of you and
Musa. They put it together and they made
something that looks like a calf out of
it. And they took that from the ancient
Egyptians
traditions.
So they refer to the loads to the
to the heavy
pieces of gold that they carried with them
as Auzar.
Right? So wizard also means something extra, something
that burdens you.
Whether it's something physical or something emotional or
something mental.
Something that weighs down on you. It could
be or
Yeah.
Also,
What does that mean? Guilt.
Guilt.
So what guilt,
sins,
anxiety,
and
anything extra heavy load that you carry on
your back,
be it physical or otherwise, what do they
all have in common? They weigh down on
you.
They bring you down.
So Allah says,
we have indeed removed that burden of you.
How did Allah remove the burden of the
Prophet Sallallahu Wa Ta'ala?
From the previous Surah, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
says,
what?
One of the things that weighed down on
the prophet was
the scarcity of his resources.
He didn't remember how we I mentioned the
other day when we were talking about Surah
Al Duha, the Prophet SAWH did not have
money at some point
and Quraysh was boycotting him,
so Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala enriched him.
Okay. Another thing,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala forgave all of his
sins,
the previous sins, any mistake, any shortcoming.
The scholars said the prophet did not have
any major sins. Sins Obviously, he the Prophet
SAW was never engaged in Shirk
So that wasn't even an issue
But they said the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
when he was a youth when he was
young may have
you know, may have just done, you know,
minor sins
accidental.
And once he became a prophet and Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala revealed the Quran to him
and he became aware of who he is,
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam looked back
at those
incidents
or events that happened.
You see for instance, one time when
he was a youth he was young.
A shepherd who used to be his co
worker came to him and said why don't
you come and join us? There is a
party.
Prophet was about 15.
He said there is a party.
Let's go.
So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
on his way to that party he became
distracted with something
and then he fell asleep
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
And he missed he missed well he didn't
miss Allah Subhaahu Wa Ta'ala saved him from
going to the party He slept until the
morning So he didn't end up going to
that party where there were all kinds of
inappropriate things happening.
So Allah protected him from that.
Now imagine now the prophet wasallam remembering that
when he was a teenager he considered going
to a party
and later on when he became an adult
he knew what these parties have before that
he didn't he didn't know what to expect
That would weigh down on him all these
memories of the past
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says to him,
don't worry about it. Your previous sins
and even any potential any, any, any possible
sin in the future will be forgiven.
So you don't have to worry about it.
Another
meaning is
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala made the Prophet Sallallahu
Wa Salam
Masoom infallible.
See, one of the things that weighs down
on anyone, especially someone like the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam is, am I going to
make the right decisions?
What if I make a mistake? I'm a
human, and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
used to tell the sahaba, I'm a human.
Sometimes when I judge or when I act
as a human being, I'm prone to mistakes.
But when I did when the prophet delivers
the message,
he's not gonna make mistakes.
Initially, the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam didn't
know that.
Remember how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam?
The prophet used to when Jibreel revealed something
to him, he used to revise the Quran
He didn't want to forget or make mistakes.
So Allah
reassured him, don't worry.
Don't worry.
We'll take
care of that. The prophet was very nervous
about making mistakes or setting bad example.
All of this would weigh down on him,
so Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
You're going to be protected.
All of these reassurances lifted that some of
the burdens the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was
feeling.
They said
also
another meaning that,
for instance,
Razi
gives is they said when the prophet SAWSATHSALA
first received the message,
What was his initial reaction?
Kareem
When the prophet wasallam this is his first
time ever and he has never experienced Wahi
before. The first Wahi he had, what happened
to the prophet wasallahu alaihi wasallam?
When Jibril first came to him, he said,
Iqra.
He said after him. Yeah. But then then
what happened? He he squeezed him. Right?
Very excited and he's like, Allahu Akbar, I've
been waiting for this all my life. No.
He was scared.
He was terrified, sallallahu alaihi
salam, because he was oblivious. I mean, he
had never experienced anything like this,
and and a heavy load came down on
him. He didn't know what to make of
it
because, again,
his innocence sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. It was
Khadija that reassured him and then she took
him to Warakah and Warakah said to you
know, confirmed
what Khadija suspected.
But I'm the yeah. Imagine
someone who was just looking for the truth,
all of a sudden,
overnight someone comes to him and says,
You are the message of Allah. What?
Did you know that there were people
named Muhammad during the time of the Prophet
who
were
intentionally
named Muhammad
because they wanted to be
prophets.
And these are people
who
either themselves
or their parents
had connection with
some of the people who read the scriptures.
There are actually people
who envy the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
There was one guy that envy the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam because he was hoping he
would be the prophet.
He was older than the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam.
But the prophet didn't know any of these
things. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was completely.
The prophet didn't know anything about about these
things. It's not like he was he had
interactions with the people of the book and
he was aspiring to being a prophet. Then
when Allah Subhaata'ala finally revealed him By the
way, very similar to what happened with Musa
alaihis salam. Musa was oblivious to that as
well.
Musa thought he was a fugitive, He thought
he was a criminal he made a mistake.
When Allah told him you are a prophet,
he said why don't you send har'ul?
Musa didn't say, oh, yeah. I'm I'm the
most qualified to be to be a prophet.
He said, Harun is better than me. He
nominated Harun to take the burden.
This is because they were purified.
They were not looking forward for that for,
you know though it is the most prestigious,
the most prestigious,
you know, title
anyone can have, the most noble title anyone
can have is prophet.
None of them said, Yeah, I deserve to
be a Prophet.
So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
was extremely terrified
when this came down upon him. So,
Razi says
means that that burden
that
you know when the prophet was scared and
he was he was
terrified
Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta A removed that fear
and removed that nervousness
and remove that the anxiety the prophet SAWHAN
had Allah as we have removed that from
him.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
reminds the prophet
SAWH
this this heavy burden that was upon you
indeed it actually weighed
so heavily on your back.
And again, it's a metaphor because when you
carry a heavy load
where do you feel the impact or the
pressure?
On your back. Upper back, lower back.
Right?
And if your lower back or your back
is not strong enough to carry it, what's
gonna happen? You're going to be crushed.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reminds the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam your burden your emotional
and your,
for a lack of a better word
the baggage
that you were you know, the load that
you were carrying that was placed on you
was so heavy
it weighed heavily on your on your back.
It almost crushed you
and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala lifted that.
Then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says
And this is where I want to spend
some time.
You know, I gave
an hour lecture at a conference that we
had in Southern California 2 3 weeks ago
on this
Ayah. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reminds the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
of this one of the most great one
of the greatest blessings upon the prophet sallallahu
SAW.
Allah has elevated
the the mention of the Prophet SAW.
Rafa means to
lift,
to raise,
to elevate,
to exalt.
And here Allah says,
for you
for you, oh Muhammad. Allah didn't say
It could have. Allah could have said,
we lifted the cracker, your mission.
No. Allah says,
We did it for your sake
to make it extra special.
When Allah says
that
especially when Allah uses the Royal We, that
in and of itself makes it very special.
When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
your mention, O Muhammad,
that makes it special when Allah says He
didn't even say
We
we you
know
They said this is one of the greatest
and most
amazing
glad tidings that were given to the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam
No other Prophet was given this.
Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was the only human
being
who received this.
And Allah says, Laqah for Arabic,
you
know, when you love someone you say
If you translate it in English it won't
mean mean anything.
But those of you who speak you know?
For your sake,
for your pleasure, for your satisfaction,
for your love.
O Muhammad,
we have indeed lifted or raised the crack.
What's thikr?
Thikr means
mention,
remembrance,
name,
fame.
What else am I missing? I'm missing, I
think, one more. Reputation.
Right? That's what I repute. That's what I
was looking for. So Dhikr means
mention
memory
or,
you know, something that people remember you with.
Right? Name,
fame,
and repute,
and many other things.
How?
The scholars there are there are there are
pages and pages written about this. Just about
this, how Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. First of
all, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala gave the prophet
when it comes to his name something no
other prophet was given which is
his name Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was attached with
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and that is why
there's a hadith Qusi that says
When I am mentioned you will be mentioned
People say for Allah and His Prophet, for
the sake of Allah and His Prophet. They
always
Waqalu
and the greatest manifestation of it is Adhan
Greater manifestation
is no one's Islam is sound until they
say
So there is consensus amongst the scholars, they
said, Wallahi,
if someone comes and says,
And they expressed their tawheed and devotion to
Allah and all of these great expressions, but
they fail to say or refuse to say,
Ashadu An Muhammadar Rasulullah, it will not be
accepted from them.
Unless they say it.
And if anyone challenges this, you say that's
why the Sahaba fought with who?
With the apostasy, with the Muftadeen,
with Musaylam and all of these people. These
people said, but
they refused to say, They
they
they even some of them even said that
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, but someone
else can also be a Messenger.
It was not accepted.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
connects his mention to the mention of the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. They said also
of the greatest,
of of of one of the blessings of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is that dua.
When you make dua
will be accepted if you praise Allah and
invoke Allah's blessings
upon the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and praise
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
Number 3,
anytime you mention the Prophet SAW
and you do salawat when the Prophet SAW.
Alaihi Bhi Aashla.
When Muhammad is mentioned Allah himself
offers his blessings upon him.
They said of the,
of of that also is the fact that
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam had so many names,
all of which had very positive
and noble meanings.
Muhammad,
Ahmad,
Mustafa,
Mahi,
all these names
that are in
the in Allah's knowledge in the law,
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
And perhaps he's he's he's
the only prophet that had so many names.
Of the fact that his mention
is elevated
is the fact that his followers are going
to be his Ummah will be the largest
Ummah, so he he will be remembered
and he will
be celebrated
by
the most
number of followers
ever. No other prophet has so many followers
praising him and celebrating him.
And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam will receive
will receive the reward of that as well.
Of the manifestations,
you know, in the UK,
and the United Kingdom, I think for the
past
I'm not sure about 2023,
but but
from
from 2020 to 2021 to 2022,
the most popular
child's name in the UK was Mohammed
in the United Kingdom.
Worldwide,
Mohammed holds the number 1
when it comes to, when it comes to
the number of people named Muhammad.
Even more than Chang.
Mohammed.
Mafi Ahmed. No other name no one no
other name
has that many people. In some countries actually,
or some traditions in Africa and also in
parts of,
of the Arabian Peninsula and in Syria.
There are some families that name every child
Muhammad
Every child is Muhammad. There is a very
large tribe in
modern day Ethiopia
where
many families
named their boys Mohammed.
So so so how can you tell them
apart?
You can tell them apart by 1 of
2 things.
Either they will add another name to to
Mohammed.
Just like in Syria for instance, in Syria
and in Aleppo, you find a lot of
people whose name is Mohammed Bashar. Mohammed,
such as the same thing in Egypt as
well, by the way, in Egypt. You know
Sheikh Salih Haslawi? We call him Sheikh Salih.
His name is actually Mohammed Bashar Shala is
Muhammad Bashar
Right? His son is Muhammad Ammar
So they used to always have this first
name and second name.
Also in parts of, in Pakistan, also in
the subcontinent, they do the same thing.
In in East Africa, what they do is
they they don't add a name, they add
actually a number. So they say, Mohammed Awan,
Muhammad Thani,
Muhammad Thaleth, Muhammad Raba Haqqalah
or Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad
Azhar. They find Baraka in this name.
His name Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has been
for now,
you know, centuries
used
as a piece of art in calligraphy.
You find people writing the name of the
prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam and then decorating their
homes with it.
Even when you see the word the name
Muhammad written, it has there is there
is there is some elegance
that is associated with the name even when
it's written with with by the way, it
doesn't matter what script you write it in.
Whatever.
After the name of Allah, Allah
Right? And the names, the beautiful names of
Allah Azzazil Ismail and Husna
The name Muhammad, the name of the Prophet
SAW
holds a very special status.
And as a matter of fact, if you
find it written anywhere, you're supposed to what?
You're supposed to honor it.
In many traditions,
and we'll conclude with this, in many traditions
the name Mohammed must be respected
and
they
you're forbidden
from associating the name Mohammed
with something,
negative
You're not supposed to disrespect the name. So
you should never say
to someone whose name is Mohammed, you should
never say Mohammed.
You, you know, you should never say Mohammed
is a liar.
Yeah. And let's say in the you're you're
sitting in a classroom,
and you have a student named Mohammed.
And that Mohammed
does something bad.
You should not say Mohammed is bad.
Or he let's say he lies.
You should not say Mohammed
is a liar.
You can tell the person, oh, you're lying.
You're wrong,
but without mentioning his name. If you mention
his name,
You know, I know about a brother, elderly,
very respected brother whose name is Adnan.
His daughter
named
one of her sons
after him.
So he has a grandson named Adnan.
I said, Masha'allah, you must be very happy.
You must be very happy. He's like, no.
I'm not happy. I said, why? Your daughter
named your grandson after you.
He said, no. Because he does a lot
of bad things and they keep saying Adnan,
this Adnan that.
He found a fence in that.
The
remembrance of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam opens
hearts.
People are guided.
People are touched by the power and the
example of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
People are offended when the name of Muhammad
sallallahu alaihi wasallam is desecrated.
There are people who pay with their lives
to to defend
the honor of that name.
People pay with their with their with their
lives.
Does anyone have any questions?
Ayesu
Alaihi
Wa
Salam. Off the microphone I will tell you
a story.
I hope it's not transmitted.
Yes.
No.
That's a beautiful question.
Because it's not an easy task.
It's not an easy task.
Yeah.
A long
Doctor Raheem Sultan, during the class that we
had before Isha between between Marib and Isha
asked a beautiful question towards the end of
it and I said Insha'Allah will respond
in a form of a khatira
to that question. And the question was
how do we
ensure or how do we make sure that
our children
love the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
the way they should? Meaning love the prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
more than they love us, their parents, more
than they love themselves.
Because the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, none
of you is a true believer until
I'm more beloved to him,
until that person is able to love the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam genuinely
more than
More than his own parents,
children,
and old people.
How can can you? Are there people who
love the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam more
than they especially our our children?
Are there people who love the Prophet SAW
Alaihi Wasallam more than they love themselves,
their spouses, and their children, or anyone else?
Are there?
And how many of us can genuinely say,
wallahi, I love the prophet
more than my own parents?
And before don't raise your hands.
I love my parents more I love I
love the Prophet more than I love my
own parents. Meaning, I will put my parents
as ransom
for the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
The Sahaba used to say,
Oh message of Allah.
You are
I would I would give up my father
and my mother for you Messenger of Allah.
That's what it means whenever you hear it.
Now the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam spoke about
those people and I hope to be of
them insha Allahu Taal. In Sahih Muslim, the
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam has said,
of those of my Ummah that love me
the most.
Nasun
people
They come after my time, after I'm gone.
1 of them
would want or wish
They love me so much. This is the
prophet
I don't wanna say predicting. This is a
prophecy. The prophet told the Sahaba, there will
come people after my time, after you, after
this generation.
And mind you, he's saying this to people
who put everything on the line
to protect him
and defend him and stand by him.
We're talking about a people whom the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam
witnessed
Witnessed
them jumping in front of the prophet salallahu
alayhi wasallam taking,
not bullets, taking arrows
and the spears.
Abu Dujana, they said he came and threw
his body on the top of the Prophet
SAW Alaihi Wasallam when the Quraysh
were shooting
arrows of the Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam they
said
They said when he got up he looked
like a corcupine
from all these arrows that were stuck in
his back.
Some went through the armor
and injured him.
He took all these shots. Not 1, not
2,
so many.
That was their chanting. The sahaba jumped 1
after another in front of the prophet
taking shots for him on the day of
Uhud
saying, let my neck be before your neck.
Let my chest be before your chest.
To these people, the prophet is saying to
them, there will come a people after you
who will love me
the most.
1 of them would give up his family,
would wish,
will be willing to give up his family
and his wealth just to see me.
To get a glimpse.
And the prophet sallam alaihi wasallam refers to
the and we hope to be of them.
You know, we have to aspire to be
of them. He said he referred to us
as
my brethrens,
our brethrens.
The Sahaba said, Are
we your brethren's Messenger of Allah? He said,
No. You are my companions.
Our brethren are those who will come after
after I'm gone.
So this is a very key and critical
question
because without that love, I'm telling you,
there is no hope for the individual.
If a person does not love the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam
and continue to love the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam and allow that love or nourish that
love for the prophet
until it reaches the point where that individual
is willing to give up his own life
for the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
Unless it reaches that level,
then
really there isn't much hope for that individual.
So how can we how can we attain
that?
It's a very complex issue. It's something that
needs to be discussed, but I tell you,
I am I was just reflecting
when you asked that question doctor Sultan, I
was reflecting on myself.
How did I get to love the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam? I'm not gonna claim
that I love the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam more than my own parents, but wallahi,
I think I do. I think I do.
How?
How did that happen?
True. But who do I give credit for?
My own payers.
Especially my father.
He taught me how to love the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He was the 1st teacher
to teach me how to love the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
And the number one
most I think
most convincing
and most most,
impactful
tool that my father was
was him being an example.
He exemplified
to me, he exemplified the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam.
So my soul, one of my best friends,
he's now a professor at King Abdul Aziz
University,
Half of the Quran he was an imam
in Jeddah and all of that. One time
he told me, man, you talk about your
father like he's a prophet.
I said no he wasn't the prophet and
I love the prophet more than him because
I always tell myself if my father
was this good
imagine what the prophet was
like. If my father had this much charisma
and this much honesty and this much
strength and kindness and love and all of
that, imagine what the prophet
must have been like.
When my father passed away,
my my siblings said that we thought you
were in shock there was something wrong with
you. I don't know. I mean, I just
I had to endure
and I didn't cry. This was in 2007,
2006.
But on the way,
when I left town after the burial, as
we were leaving town,
back then, if you remember, there was a
singer or a a a a mun a
mushed known as Sami Yusuf.
You know who I'm talking about? And there
was something called tapes.
You know what I'm talking about? Cassettes?
Yeah. You know what cassettes are?
Mu'al, you know what a cassette is? Oh,
you know what a cassette is? I'm wondering
if that's what I meant oh, oh, they're
a lot. Luqman, do you know what a
cassette is?
So
so we had this cassette,
right, in in my wife's old car, and
she had
she had that,
that that Nasheed
album of Sami Usa.
So she played it.
We're driving.
I had just buried my father 2 3
days before that. We're driving. And what's the
nasheed that plays?
The famous nasheed Mu'alim
in which he talks about the Prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam
And then when he when he came to
the line where
he talks about the Sahaba losing him Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam I couldn't hold myself I broke
down
So my wife was panicking and she's holding
the steering wheel because we're on the 95
South going, you know, I'm like I'm okay
And what what got to me was if
the Sahaba
because I remembered
the pain the Sahaba must have felt.
If it's anything similar
to to what I am I was feeling
for my father, that must have been a
very devastating thing.
If I felt that much pain for the
prophet salallahu alayhi for for my father, imagine
what my pain would have been for the
prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam remembering the prophet and
the fact that at least I got to
see my father.
I enjoyed my father's
company and I got to know him and
I got to love him and speak to
him and interact with him and I miss
him.
But the prophet I didn't even get to
see him. If I don't make it to
Jannah
to see him salallahu alayhi wa sallam and
be with him, what a lost that would
be.
That thought is what got to me that
day.
So
where did that come from? Him, my father,
my mother. The love that they have for
the Prophet SAW. How often they mentioned the
prophet
How? My mother to she refers to my
father the prophet
as Habibi,
my beloved.
She rarely says,
She always says she refers to him as
my my beloved. Habiby.
Genuinely, it's not even like she's not she's
not faking
it. She's, like, in her late eighties. She
refers to the prophet always as Habibi.
Habibi said Habibi said, you know, we should
listen to Habibi. We should follow the example
of Habibi.
That's how she refers to him. Genuine love.
So when the children see that, they see
their parents
loving the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, mentioning,
talking about the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,
respecting,
you know, you know what my answer was
gonna be? How many of us how many
of
us fell in love with our grandparents
without seeing them?
Most of us love our grandparents, the ones
that we saw and the ones that we
didn't see
because of how their
our parents talked about their own parents.
They always talk about them. They always mention
them. Oh, your grandparent was such and such.
So what happens to the grandchildren?
They naturally fall in love with the grandparents.
Wallahi, I used to love the prophet sallallahu
alaihi. When I was young Insha'Allah, I still
do
as my own grandfather,
Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam.
This is because he is constantly mentioned, he
is remembered at home through salawat,
through, you know,
reminders of his example salallahu alaihi wasallam and
how we should uphold the prophet salallahu alaihi
wasallam's teachings and memory.
He is he is real.
You see people when Jesus is mentioned what
and he's deserving
alaihi salaam, not as a deity but as
a prophet. He is deserving. You see people
on Sundays when Jesus is mentioned, they cry.
They genuinely cry. You see people when, Ali
radhiallahu anhu is mentioned they cry. When Al
Hussein is mentioned they cry.
And we're talking about the the master of
all of them, Muhammad
So they need to see that in our
example. When they see that that that that,
oh my god, our parents, look how much
when the prophet is mentioned. Khalas. That's it.
You know, I tell you, when someone really
taught me something, he said, you know why
why I love you and I respect you.
I said, why? He said because of your
name.
When I was a teenager,
like a distant relative,
he's like, you know, your name is Mohammed.
So what can I do?
You have no other reason.
Alhamdulillah.
So I felt though, but this is a
very special name.
Very special name.
So when when I went to Starbucks,
I I don't I don't mess around.
I didn't mess around. Even when I was
like a teenager or something.
Well, back back then they didn't have Starbucks.
But whenever I went somewhere, what's your name?
I'll say, Mohammed.
Okay. Can can can we put Moe? And
I'm like, no Mohammed.
And sometimes I would say Mohammed. They're like,
what is that? It's like Mohammed, like Mohammed
Ali.
Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
No more,
kind of Mike.
What?
You have a beautiful name. You you you're
you're shy from it.
People
that's because someone taught me the value
and the meaning
of this name and the one that carried
this name, so I took pride in it.
So unless we do that as parents, it's
gonna be our fault if our children don't
end up loving the Prophet because you do
have parents who could actually also traumatize their
kids in the name of Muhammad or in
the name of Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala make their
kids hate Allah and His messengers salallahu alayhi
wa sallam because of the way they treat
them.
They come with what?
They come with anger.
They come with with with with force.
They they come with hate.
But those who exemplify the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam in their actions or interactions with their
children, their children are gonna fall in love
with the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. And then
there are other things that you we should
do as parents. Teach them the seerah, the
life of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Every
opportunity you have
to to bring up the name of the
prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and what the
prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam would have done.
Right? That is going to help people fall
in love with the prophet salallahu alayhi wa
sallam.
And as I mentioned in the in the
in the in the lecture we were talking
about,
right? We said that you have certain cultures
where there is so much emphasis
Muhammad 1, Muhammad 2. Yes. People in in
Abyssinia, in in in Ethiopia. You have Mohammed
Awad, Mohammed Thani. You know the great scholar,
Sheikh Mohammed Thani?
Do you know his name is Mohammed Thani,
right? Because he had a brother named Mohammed
Awal.
He's one of the greatest scholars of Ethiopia.
He passed away Rahim Allah,
you know, a couple of decades ago.
How can I Islam? Mohammed sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam
So so to bring up the mention of
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam to say it
salawat in the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in
my father's in our household if the Prophet
is mentioned and you're like
You knew, you knew something was gonna follow
that.
My father if if the Prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam's name was mentioned and we did not
say Salamullah Alaihi
Wasallam Doctor. Elahi, what what do
you think?
Sometimes it's a tap, gentle tap.
Sometimes it's hard.
Sometimes it's, it's a reminder. Sometimes it's, are
you stingy? Are you deaf? What's wrong with
you? I'm like, why? Didn't you just hear
the name of the prophet being mentioned? Yes.
What should you say?
Bebe homey.
Teach them about the life of the extraordinary
life of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Let
them read about the sacrifices, what the Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam had to go through, the
love the prophet sallam had for us,
what the prophet sallam taught us, how the
prophet sallam taught us to be good parents,
how the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam loved
our children more than we love them.
You should love I would I tell my
shit, you should love the prophet more than
you love me and your mother
because he loves you more than I love
you.
He has a meaning. He means to you
more than I would ever mean to you.
Wallahi, we have to because some of us
are so desperate for the love of our
children.
We we just we always just want them
to love us and accept us and be
pleased with us, and we're not thinking about
anything else. Love me, be like me, Make
me proud. No. No. Make the prophet proud.
Tell them.
Teach them that.
I'll be proud of you. I'll I'll love
you unconditionally. I'll be proud of you. You're
my child. You're a piece of me. But
I want on the day of judgment.
Learn about what it takes to make the
prophet proud on the day of judgment. This
is one of my ummah
with great opportunities, the opportunities that you have.
When we do that, when we when we
connect them and tie them to the example
and the personality of the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam, of course, they're gonna love love
him, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He's gonna mean to
them what he's supposed to mean to them.
And in that meaning, they're going to find
so much comfort
because you see,
See, a lot of people don't realize.
See, when we go through any hardship or
any trial or any crisis,
be it emotional or spiritual crisis,
that love and that example will be a
great source of inspiration.
You You know what I'm talking
about? Those of us who went through that,
when you go through a spiritual or intellectual
or or
or or emotional crisis,
you'll find so much comfort. You will the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam's example, the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam's wisdom, the prophet salallahu alaihi wa
sallam's passion, the prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam's
example will console you.
It will help you because you're always gonna
the prophet said that I'll give you an
example. The prophet said,
if any one of you is afflicted with
a calamity or the loss of a loved
one and you find that to be so
hard to to to grapple with and and
deal with and process and cope with,
Let them find comfort or let them console
themselves
in their
calamity
or
with my death.
The prophet died.
The prophet died.
You know, I'm
at the youngest of my siblings. And I
remember when
my father passed away,
one of my sisters was like, my I
can't believe my father died. I said, yes,
of course. Rasool Allah died. Who's your father
not to die?
And that was it. When I said that
to her, she's like,
yes, indeed. He did die. Sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
For Allah, Subhanahu wa ta'ala, you know, made
the prophet taste death. Who's your father or
or or our father or anyone's father?
And that's it.
We submitted to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
So the example of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam is a very powerful example. It's good.
It's for their own
good. What would the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam
And I will say to those people
Those who who have even if it's not
100%
proven,
even if you cannot prove 100%. Yeah. I
mean, you have but you have a lineage
or you have a claim to have a
lineage to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. You
are supposed to hold you're not supposed to
look down upon other people and and be
proud. No. You're supposed to be the most
humble and you're supposed to hold yourself and
your children
to the highest of standards
because of this noble
lineage and that that you have. To the
highest of standards.
And you should be the most patient and
you should be the kindest and the most
generous
and the most tolerant
and the most humble.
When it comes to to to, you know,
virtues, you're supposed to aspire to to uphold
these virtues at the highest level.
Something that we need to keep in mind
inshaAllah ta'ala and ask Allah to bless us
and make us of those
who who love this prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam and find an inspiration in his love,
whose lives,
accomplishments,
insha'AllahHu Wa Ta'ala and future is fueled or
powered by the passion of Muhammad
and may Allah reunite us with him and
ask that beautiful statement that you heard not
too long ago,
when one of the scholars someone told him,
tell us about Jannah.
Entice us. Tell us about Jannah. Tell us
something that will make us
long for Jannah
He said Qalafi rasoolullah
He said, In it is Rasoolullah SAW WALLAM
waiting for you. Isn't that enough?
You don't need to hear about the Hurul
Ayn, you don't need to Rasoolullah is waiting
for you. May Allah subhata reunite us with
him salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
