So this is one person when he sees
this the punishment of that will say.
Another person who is going to Jahannam will
say, Another soul will say, If
only Allah had given me guidance, then I
would be among the Muttaqeen.
So he puts the blame on Allah.
Now, do we have that here in this
life?
All the time you tell somebody namaz.
Leave this haram when Allah can guide, Allah
guides.
He has not sent me guidance.
This is what we say now.
If Allah wanted, he could stop me from
this.
Or if Allah wanted, he would make me
do this.
We say that now on that day.
They will also say that.
And putting the blame on Allah.
Then I would be Muttaqeen.
I would be the most God conscious and
righteous person.
And the third.
Now when that person now sees Jahannam in
front of them.
When this person now sees the punishment.
If I was given one more chance.
If I can go back one more time.
One more chance.
And there are many ayats in the Quran
that people will say, Allah send me back
one.
What would I do now?
You say, I'm not going to be a
Muslim or a mu'min.
I'm going to be a Muhsin, the ultimate.
Just give me one more chance.
So three scenarios.
And we hear all these three.
Even in this dunya.
But Allah SWT is telling us this is
what's going to happen.
And then Allah answers those three responses.
He says, Allah
SWT says, You denied them.
You turned away from them.
And you had kibr.
You had arrogance.
You said no.
And you were among the kafir.
Now what ayat?
All the ayats of the Quran.
Especially these ayats.
That Allah says, I even sent you these
ayats.
These are the three things you are going
to say that day.
Now you're saying.
So again, this is for the kafir.
You know, as we have mentioned before.
Kafir has two meanings.
One is kafir of Iman or disbelief.
The other kufr is the opposite.
So that is the opposite of Iman.
And the other kufr is the opposite of
shukr.
So this can also apply to Muslims who
were taken.
Who disobeyed and did not show gratitude to
Allah SWT for the guidance.
And rejected it by not obeying what they
were supposed to do.
So they can also be prone to punishment
if they did not do tawbah.
And on that day, Allah SWT says on
the day of qiyamah.
Those who denied.
Who lied about Allah as we talked about
last time.
Allah SWT will make their faces identified by
almost like they are painted with black tar.
They'll be darkened.
That this is how you identify these people
who denied that.
They will be their wujuhuhum muswadda.
From sauda.
Aswad.
Hajri aswad.
So black.
Allah will blacken their faces.
So they will be identified.
These are the ones who lied about Allah.
Then Allah SWT asks again that hypothetical question.
Which he says.
Is there not a permanent residence.
A domicile for the mutakabbirin.
Who were too arrogant to listen and obey
to Allah's invitation to his ayat.
And to what his Rasul sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam invited them.
So Allah SWT says there is plenty of
room in jahannam as we said.
Jahannam will in the end say.
Can there be more?
It will be asked is there.
He will say.
She will say.
Are there more?
Come on.
Okay.
Jahannam will be calling by names.
Because already has names.
Where is so and so?
Come on.
Come on.
Okay.
And we'll come to that in the end
of this surah.
Then the opposite of that.
la yamassuhumus soo'u wala hum yahzanoon wa
yunajjillahu allatheena taqaw.
And Allah will save.
Najab.
For who?
Those who had taqwa.
Who were conscious of Allah.
Who obeyed.
Who followed all the obligation what Allah has
made fardh.
And stayed away from all what Allah has
forbidden.
Allah SWT says he will save the people
of taqwa.
That teaches us to be saved from Jahannam.
One characteristic taqwa.
That is our protection.
And taqwa means to actually means to protect
yourself.
Protect yourself from Allah the Rabb and his
punishment and his anger.
la yamassuhumus soo'u.
They will not be touched by any hardship
or difficulty or evil.
wala hum yahzanoon.
And they will have no grief.
Eternal happiness.
No regrets.
And how is Allah SWT going?
He's not just going to.
He's not saying okay I've saved.
Enough would be if he saved them from
Jahannam.
But Allah SWT says no nothing will even
touch them.
And they will have no grief.
Because the way Allah will save them is
not just take them out of Jahannam.
But put them in Jahannam.
And that's the ultimate escape.
Allahu khaliqu kulli shay.
Allah is the creator of.
Kulli shay means everything.
What does everything mean?
Don't say everything.
Everything other than Allah.
Khaliqu kulli shay.
Which includes arsh and farsh and kursi and
qalam and lah.
And everything below that.
Heavens and earth and everything in there.
Khaliqu kulli shay.
In other words don't think all of this
came by accident.
As some people say that you know something
must have happened.
Or it's been eternal.
No it wasn't there.
Khaliq.
He created it.
Some people say well it's always been there.
No it's not always been there.
Even though more reasonable scientists say it's only
14 and a half billion years.
So he created it.
Wahuwa ala kulli shayin waqeel.
And he is the one who is the
disposer of all affairs.
The manager of everything.
It's not like Allah created and left.
He manages everything.
What?
Kulli shay.
Everything.
Everything that's going on in this room.
Everything that's going on in my mind.
Everything that's going on in your bodies.
Everything that's going on you know the molecules
that are moving in this bottle of Poland
spring.
The light rays coming from here.
The sound wave.
Everything is managed by Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
What we know and what we don't know.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is again introducing
himself.
He created everything.
He is the waqeel of everything.
Then he says.
Maqaleed is the keys to a treasure.
That Allah to Allah belongs all the treasures
and the keys to the treasure symbolic.
Means everything that is unlimited treasures are all
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Maqaleed which are in the heavens that we
can't see.
And which are in the earth we see.
Such as the gold mines and the diamonds
and the oil and the gas.
And all the other treasures that are here.
And of course all the treasures the real
treasures.
Which are the hearts of the believers.
That's the real treasure.
They are all Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
owns the keys to that.
And those who reject the ayatillahi the signs
of Allah.
These are the ones who are the true
losers.
Again the Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is
ordered commanded to say to us.
There's a special way that this is in
tajweed.
It's a sixth extension of mad.
Say oh you ignorant people.
You first you tried to scare me before
in previous ayah.
Now you are telling me that I should
worship other than Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Extension tells us they can bring up any
possibility.
From angels to isa a.s to stones
to fire.
Whatever they can think of anything.
Because everything has been worshipped.
From cows to monkeys to donkeys.
Everything has been worshipped.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala saying.
You are urging me ordering me to worship
anything other than Allah.
Oh you are the jahil.
This is the ultimate of jahala.
And indeed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says.
We have revealed wahi to you.
Ya Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And to the messengers before you.
And if you commit shirk then what will
happen?
All your amal all your actions no matter
how good they are will become bati.
They will be negated.
They will become zero.
You will lose them.
And again that khasara you will be among
the true losers.
So rather instead of being a loser only
worship Allah.
Allah comes when they put in his first
means don't just worship him.
Only him worship.
That means only him you worship.
If you turn the order it could mean
worship Allah.
But it leaves it open for other than
Allah also.
But the way it is structured means you
worship only Allah alone.
And be among those who are grateful.
And why are we grateful?
Because Allah has given us this is the
ultimate treasure Allah has given us of tawheed.
So if we reject that we are not
being thankful for that.
wa ma qadaru allaha haqqa qadrihi wal ardu
jami'an qabdatuhu yawm al qiyamah was samawatu
matwiyatum bi yaminihi subhanah subhanahu wa ta'ala
amma yushrikoon Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
wa ma qadaru allaha haqqa qadrihi what is
the right of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
of proper worship of proper reverence of proper
recognizing him they have not given that right
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wa ma
qadaru they have not shown to Allah proper
reverence that's due to him what is his
haqq and then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
goes to the day of judgment wal ardu
jami'an qabdatuhu yawm al qiyamah on the
day of judgment Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
says the earth that you see this vast
qabdatuhu yawm al qiyamah will be in his
grip in urdu we say qabzim right qabzim
qabd was samawatu matwiyatum bi yaminihi in all
the heavens it's almost like a sheet that's
folded up and it will be in his
yamin which means the right hand and symbolically
that also means in his control in his
power subhanahu wa ta'ala amma yushrikoon Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is elevated he's glorified
above and exalted ta'ala high above what
they associate the shirk that we do what
people do continuing with the day of judgment
the sur will be blown the
shock of that everything that is in the
heavens everything and everyone in the earth will
be will fall dead except who Allah wills
and we're not given much explanation of who
except there is one narration which said that
the only one left would be the one
who blew the trumpet which is israfil alaihissalaam
and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam in some
narration described that sur is something like the
horn like the horn the of a ram
which is hollow and he said rasulullah sallallahu
alaihi wasallam once he got up from he
saw in his dream and he was very
sort of shaken people said why are you
he said how can i rest when what
after what i had seen what did you
see ya rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam i saw
israfil his cheeks are blown he's got this
sur on his mouth and he's he's not
blinking he's looking towards the arsh for Allah's
command it could come any time in another
narration he said that time the blowing and
i are like this close in the real
matter of time so that means we have
limited time and once that this is the
first blowing of the trumpet which will destroy
then after an interval there will be a
second blowing of the trumpet and for you
know and then everyone will stand and between
the first and the second is a period
of how much 40 40
what does 40 mean rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam
did not specify 40 years 40 months 40
weeks 40 days 40 hours he said 40
means there's a period of time between the
first and the second between that period there
is no creation only Allah like it was
before creation and then Allah will resurrect israfil
again blow come back to life he'll blow
and then a rain will come a special
rain will come from under the arsh of
Allah and it will fall on the earth
that has been flattened by the sun there
will be a new earth whether it's here
whether somewhere else is the same mountains all
leveled we don't know the details but it
will be level and it will be white
means white like flour atta and it will
be sort of glowing and then the rain
will fall and wherever our tailbones were suddenly
people will start standing up imagine that scene
no matter where everybody billions and billions and
billions of people just stand up and everybody
what happened what happened people will say you
know surah yaseen what has happened that uh
from my cover i have been raised and
you know how long it will seem like
since you went to since you died went
to sleep dear yes whether you've been dead
for a thousand or ten thousand years doesn't
matter as if it was on pause and
suddenly unpause oh you just started again
