we praise Allah subhanaw taala and we send peace and blessings on the

best of his creation.

Our leader, our Imam, our beloved Rasool allah sallallahu alayhi wa

sallam, we ask Allah subhanaw taala to increase us in beneficial

alien knowledge that brings us closer to him.

Do not let our hearts swerved from the right path.

We ask Allah subhanaw taala to show us truth as the truth and

help us to follow it and show us falsehood as falsehood and help us

to stay away from it.

We ask Allah subhanaw taala to show His mercy to us through the

Quran. And to make the Quran An imam, a leader for us full of

light and guidance and Rama.

We ask Allah subhanaw taala to remind us through the Quran, when

we forget

to teach us that which we are ignorant of, and to

bestow on us the ability to read it day and night. And to make it

an evidence in our favor on the day of judgment and not against

us. I mean

so the surah that we are inshallah embarking on today is called Surah

Al

which is the 56th surah and is made up of 96 eyelets.

So we'll see how much of that we can cover today.

And as we've been going through the Quran, we've been going

through the Macan Quran, this is also another makan surah. And

therefore, as we have mentioned before, short iets read make

dealing with some main themes don't feed of Allah subhanaw taala

or rissalah messenger ship and the messages that came through the Day

of Judgment Jana now, the end of what's coming.

So that's going to be the general theme of this. And this surah

follows Surah or Rockman, which we have covered a few months ago. And

it sort of almost seems like a continuation and it complements

Surah Rahman and we will see how it does that.

So there are certain special things about the surah that are

mentioned in the Hadith.

As you know, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was a youthful 63

years old when he passed away Salalah

he had very few white or gray hair. In fact, they could count it

like 13 or 17 or 19. And that's what the Sahaba used to sit and

look and say how many gray hair does he have? So one day so you're

gonna have the Allah one will record us a dip?

Said to Rasul Allah said Ya rasool Allah, you are becoming gray.

He felt you know what Allah has never been white hair.

So he said to say Abu Bakr Siddiq, he said Surah Hood Awatea are more

Salaat Amaya Tessa alone and in a sham Sukhumvit have made me gray.

In another narration, he said Surah Hood and it sisters have

turned my hair gray.

So what is common in the surahs is

talking about

The Day of Judgment and the severity of it, that follow suit

allah sallallahu alayhi salam, it was very burdensome, it was heavy,

to to listen to these Iots and what it's going to be, obviously,

his hair wouldn't be turning great about himself.

His Gray was turning here because of concern for the OMA what they

would go through on the day of judgment and how severe it's going

to be.

So that's one narration about this. And then there is another

narration, that one day during his Khilafah you have Mandra, the

Allah on the third Khalifa went to visit the major companion who was

an expert in the Quran by the name of Abdullah Al Masud, through

which all of the Hanafi madhhab comes,

who was in his terminal illness. He was very, very sick, about to

die, so the Khalifa went out of respect to visit him.

And he said to Abdullah Masood, should we call

the doctor for you?

He said, The doctor is the one who has sent this affliction to me. In

other words, the only one who can cure is Allah and he already

knows.

Then they said,

Should we set up is sort of a fund

or was he for for your daughters, he had some daughters.

He said, There is no need for that, because I have taught them

Surah Alba

and I heard Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam say that whoever recite

Surah, Al worked out every night, will never be afflicted by poverty

and need.

And there's another narration of the fifth righteous Khalifa, Omar

bin Abdullah Aziz was the Khalifa. And he was married to Fatima, who

was the princess and all rights because from she was from that

they by that time they become kings. So she was a princess and

they were very, very wealthy. And in some narration that on every

birthday, they used to wear her in pearls and jewels on the scale and

whatever it was given to the poor.

When Ahmad bin Abdulaziz one day, I'm not wanting to give him Tofik

he called for tomorrow the Allah

Rahmatullah Allah, his wife and said, Fatima, Allah has given us

everything. You know, why don't we give everything away? She said,

Now this is a princess Jesus as you wish. So he gave everything

away.

Everything away this is the Khalifa. Soon after that Kim Reed

and Fatima came to Omar bin Abdulaziz and said Can I have some

money to buy new clothes for the children?

So, Omar bin Abdulaziz called his treasurer and said

Do I have any money

to buy children for eat plots for my children? He said yeah Khalifa

your, your monthly salary has already been given. There's

nothing here.

So he said, can I borrow some money? This is the Khalifa.

So the treasurer was also trained by Omar bin Abdulaziz. He said

yes, you can borrow some money.

But do you have a guarantee on your life from Allah that you will

be able to pay it back?

So Omar bin Abdulaziz said, leave it he said Fatima. Tell the

children to have some

new clothes for it this our children should know what it is

like you just take it for granted.

When he was dying, his brother in law who was going to be qualified

at some point who was very sort of corrupt lot of money changing came

to me said You know, you've really made bad decisions in your life.

You have 11 or 12 children, that you're leaving them nothing.

Can I give them some of my money? He said No, keep your money.

Because your money is not pure. He's telling his brother and he

said that they are going to starve. He said no, they're not

going to starve. Because I taught them what sutra

now, our youngsters shouldn't get the idea that instead of doing any

work, I'm going to get rich reciting Surah RP every night.

That's not what is meant by this, that Allah subhanaw taala will put

enough Baraka in your life that you will not be needy number two,

the surah will give you what's called a nap which means

contentment with whatever you have. So you will never feel

needy, that, Oh, I need this, I need this, I don't have this. So

there is a lot of Panama. And the meaning of all of this is to

encourage us to read the surah. Every night, if we can

either memorize it or read it, if you read it every night, guess

what's going to happen in a few months,

you would have memorized it.

So therefore, because of this further aisle, this is one of the

most frequently read sources.

So the themes are in the beginning, Allah subhanaw taala

talks about Allah Wacka, which means the inevitable event that is

the day of judgment.

And Allah subhanaw taala talks about the division of people into

three groups. Remember, he said it's complimentary to Surah

Rahman. How many groups were there in Surah Rahman. If you remember

three of the guests what were the three groups?

These are the right hand people in surah. Rahman.

There were two grades two grades in Jana. Remember the higher grade

and the second grade, and one of Jana, that's what was mentioned

three grades. So say three grades I mentioned. Yeah. So three groups

of people Allah will talk about and he talks about the recompense

the Jezza what they are given, each group is going to talk about

their levels. And then after that, Allah subhanaw taala talks about

his power and his creativity and the signs in his creation, to make

people understand who Allah subhanaw taala is because the main

focus is that people are denying that this event is going to

happen, that there is going to be a day of judgment there is going

to be resurrection, Allah will raise everybody up. So Allah

subhanaw taala talks about his creative power, and therefore his

ability to recreate and resurrect everybody for the PA. Then Allah

subhanaw taala talks about, briefly about the Quran itself,

the revelation of the Quran, which is also what they were denying.

And then Allah Samantha in the end talks about death, and the

destination and destination of the three groups that were mentioned

earlier. The three groups are two groups of believers, Saba Kuhn,

the foreigners, you know the people who are ahead of everybody,

then the average believer and then the disbelievers so people have

the right people have the left and Assad upon asylum.

So whenever we

read the Quran, there should be some, it should be interactive,

our hearts should respond and interact with these eyelets when

we are told about these groups, is not for the pugs. Oh, okay, they

are going to be three groups. So I will check off you know, there are

three groups one this one is no, the question is, where do I want

to be? That's the whole purpose of it. What characteristics do I

have? Where do I fit in my life right now. So we need to interact

with the Quran, reading it, understanding it, and then

applying what we read, you know, it has to come it's not enough to

just accumulate knowledge.

So now we start with this introduction, the beginning the

first six ayat which talk about this event that Aloka that is

going to occur, which is essentially the destruction of the

earth. And then the resurrection, Allah will raise everyone how old

so, Allah subhanaw taala says,

either work until Wacka.

Wacka means something that falls that happens, that happens quickly

the Day of Judgment, the destruction of this planet and the

universe and the whole system that Allah has created, that is the

event happens when that thing drops, you know, when it happens,

it happens suddenly, and it also implies that it is this is

As if it has already happened. Because what is implied when Allah

subhanaw taala uses past tense for future events means it is certain

that it is going to happen.

So, Allah Subhana Allah is telling us that this is an event that will

definitely happen as if it has already happened. And it is

irreversible. It's not something like okay, it was going to happen,

but it got deflected, you know, there was a hurricane coming, but

it took a turn towards the Atlantic, it's not like this is

going to happen. So Allah subhanaw taala says, Now when we use the

word either waka till this era is used before something terrible

that's going to happen. It's like saying, when that event happens

when so it puts scared and that's one way. Another way is if you

read the two Ayat together in our cattle rakia lace, I love it Okay,

caliber, then it means when that event happens, nobody will be then

becomes an adverb. When that happens, nobody will be able to

deny it, there will be no denying yet. So that's another way of

reading. Now, there's a third way of reading, if suppose you did it

continuous from Surah. Rahman, because that ends with that. So

Allah subhanaw taala is telling you this reward and that reward

and that's all of that is going to happen and the next day is either

evocative. That means all of that will happen when this event

occurs. Okay, so there are different ways of looking at it.

But it all brings us back to the same thing

that this great event is going to help. Now some of our scholars in

RGB and others who are very spiritually oriented, they look at

it in a different way. This is the general understanding they said,

he said, that this can also mean that when that spiritual awakening

happens to you,

that event, then all of what comes through everything changes. Okay,

that's just another ishara in it. Then Allah Samantha Z Lisa Leyva

happened.

Okay. And this is especially for those because while this was being

revealed in Makkah, people were denying this not going to happen

they were making jokes that you know, how can it be that we become

sun will go and oceans will go and mountains Wow, that's not gonna

happen. So Allah subhanaw taala, saying all those who deny will

never be able to deny it when they see it.

So Allah subhanaw taala, saying this event will lower and it will

raise and then he doesn't describe what is being lowered. And what is

being raised. means this is an open anything you can apply to

that. So the common way to understand what most people

understand is that some people, the status of some people will be

brought down, for example, somebody was very big and

connected and, you know, powerful and rich and everything else.

On that day, this person might be brought way down, whereas someone

in this dunya nobody knew them, they were considered nothing. Yet

with Allah their status was such that now they are brought up. So

one understanding of that it will bring some down and raise up is

according to the status of the person with Allah, someone will be

brought down there's a Hadith of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam

about a big man, big man both physically big, weighed heavy, and

had lots of power. And then he said on the day of judgment, He

will not be worth the wing of mosquito the same thing. Because

the word in the dunya by dunya standard is very different than

the word Tov with Allah. So similarly, there's another Hadith

that a person who nobody pays attention to he has nothing but

when he raises his hand Allah subhanaw taala does not allow what

he is asked to not happen. So there are people like that.

Now what else can you what can else what because it's open What

else can be so people will be elevated to Jana ranks in Jannah

and they will be lowered into the depths of Jana raising and

lowering. Similarly, we have scales on the Daraja somebody's

scale will be raised. Somebody's scale will be lowered. Similarly,

things that are high

Sky's gone. Lord.

stars, moon, all of that mountains high gone down. Things Lord, what

are under the ground that will be raised up? What is that?

Most important

In the people who are going to undergo hisab they will lot now

you're raised appraised for his help. So all of those things can

happen.

Because Allah subhanaw taala will recalibrate the whole system

according to the truth, not how the worldly powers work.
