			So it's gonna be easy for us. So I asked him to tell us his very, very inspiring story about how did
he know about Islam?

			I learned one. Salam aleikum.
		

			My name is Jeven. From the Bay Area. Basically, my story just to kind of keep it short and concise
is I grew up Christian.
		

			Do you have any of my parents, my grandfather raised me.
		

			He was kind of like, the foundation of my life. He told me about God, His forgiveness, His love. His
empathy towards me, as a kid, really showed me that there really was a God out there. And for about
2324 years,
		

			we live together, kind of like a symbiotic relationship. You know, as he got older, I started taking
care of him. And then last year, around Ramadan, he passed away. And
		

			we had a conversation probably
		

			two weeks before he passed away. And he told me something that I've never thought I'd hear from him.
He told me that he converted to Islam.
		

			And is, it's kind of crazy because he was a pastor. He taught me everything I knew about church,
about Christianity, he taught me everything.
		

			All his books, Christian books, when I read everything, I was in the church, and to hear that it
really shook me. And I know, like, we know, as like humans, you know, you get a message from God.
And you're like, Ah, no, no, you know, but it took me a year. And,
		

			you know, I came to talk to him. And,
		

			you know, I just kind of wanted to hear what he had to say. And he gave me some books and I read it.
You know, I'm brown. I'm here to make that commitment. And to finally you know, come home and submit
to Allah. So.
		

			So how do you even grew up in the church?
		

			And his, he said, subhanAllah, his grandfather was everything to him, he raised him.
		

			So, all he hears about since he was born, is all about Jesus and Son of God and all that. And then
Subhan Allah, right before he dies, his his grandfather, the the guy who's preaching Christianity,
		

			he said to his grandson before he dies, I took shahada, I converted. So you could imagine how Jevon
know when he got this news from his grandfather to one who raised them as a Christian, that
Subhanallah so I told Jevon, you have to tell that story to your future brothers Al Hamdulillah. I
mean, I gave him some material and Hamdulillah I told him
		

			go concentrate, and I'm waiting for your call. I'm not going to push you and I waited. And then I
got the text yesterday. I said yellow come over. Ready.
		

			Okay.

			One thing I can guarantee you is that your grandfather now in his grave, it's so happy.

we beg Allah to keep you steadfast on this religion in this journey, and we are all here behind you
and supporting you. And may Allah make your reason for others to join. join this team. I mean, I
