The first thing therefore to ask ourselves, and this may seem like a stupid question to ask. But it's serious. And it's a very important thing to ask sometimes these stupid questions because we live in this world as if this question is a given, but it's not a given if you look at our lives. And a stupid question I want to ask you on myself is, do we really look forward to the meeting with Allah?
Seriously ask this question, sir and say Do I look forward to meeting Allah?
An obvious answer is if I, if I look forward to meeting with Allah then my life must reflect this so called desire of mine.
Because I cannot say to myself, that I look forward to meeting Allah when my life is going in a direction where that meeting will not be a good one. May Allah save us from that inshallah.
So that's the reason why I think it's very important for us to sit down and reflect and think today, one of the biggest problems of our lives is that our lives have become completely transactional. Our lives have become completely in, you know, interactive, in many, many different ways. There was a time at least when you were driving a car when you add some silence, but no longer today. There was a time when other people were not around you. If you were alone.
That there was some silence.
But thanks to smartphones and stupid people, that also is God.
Right I mean, we have all forms of gadgetry
which is supposed to help us to communicate. But you know, and I know that we have the communication gadgets, but we do not communicate any longer
our communication sticks,
we have to change this, because if our mind is constantly bombarded with sensations, whether it is visual sensations, or audible sensations are sound, or talk or have videos, or, or whatever, if the mind is constantly bombarded with this, then the mind has no reflection time, the mind has no time to think the mind has no time to reflect.
And that is a source of all evil, the source of all evil is that we have no time to reflect.
And that is the reason why in the days of old when tarbiyah was
was the norm.

How likely is it that these youngsters will have respect for their elders?
You think they will respect their elders.
But of course, we have justification.

Are you willing to say it's okay?

Are you willing to say it's okay?

This is how animals live. This is not how human beings live. This is definitely not how Muslims live.
Allah subhanaw taala sent us into this dunya with this vision for what? For what? To sell it.
Allah sent us with his deal to live this deal. He sent us with his beautiful then not only to live this Deen and practice it and thereby earn Gen nine ask Allah subhanho wa Taala this for all of you. May Allah give you agenda in spite of yourselves.

And you will find that people who did not even know you, people who never met, they honor you, they respect you, they love you.

But which politician is actually loved and respected, even by the ones who vote for him?
Today in this world, if I just asked you to name for me, three people in politics, who genuinely respect I don't know whether whether we even have three names globally.
Or not even talking about Muslims, anybody. globally. I don't even know whether we have three names of people that we can name, who we can say that truly I respect this individual, and I want my son or daughter to be like that person.
We have reached the bottom of the pit and we're digging.
My brothers and sisters, Allah subhanaw taala honors those who obey Him and dishonors and humiliates those who disobey Him
and to do either
to honor or to dishonor. Allah does not need to change even their worldly condition.
Allah subhanaw taala can bring honor to the poorest person in his heart
and He can bring dishonor to the wealthiest
The most powerful dictator and the most powerful President and Prime Minister, while he's still sitting in his presidential palace, Allah subhanho wa Taala can dishonor them and humiliate them in their seats of power. And Allah subhanho wa Taala can give honor to the one he wants, in whatever state
of material deprivation that person might be living in.
And therefore my brothers and sisters and elders, the most important thing about therapy is to accept that it begins at home.
Many of us like to talk about how society has become corrupted and your rights.
We like to talk about how ethics and morals have become eroded to the point of almost disappearing from our experience and discourse.
We like to talk about how promiscuity and shamelessness is the order of the day, we realized we like to talk about how lying and cheating are not only no longer criticized, but actually applauded as being smart.
We like to talk about how those whose responsibility it is to uphold the law, have themselves become its most prominent destroyers. We talk about how the world is devoid of compassion, of other our respect, of dignity, of honesty, of integrity, and of truth.
We read about rapes and murders daily until we have become desensitized to these horrors.
This is the world that we created. And this is the world that we have handed down to our children.
Now specifically talking to my generation,
this is the world that we created.
And this is the world that we handed down to them,
to our children. Make no mistake, our children didn't have any hand in creating the world that they inherited from us.
They're not the creators of that world. We are the creators.
And this is the world that we complain about.
We complain about all these things that our children are exposed to in the outside world.
But how many of us ask the question, What are my children exposed to inside my home?
We asked this question. We talked about what will happen to my child he goes to this school, that college that university, what is the atmosphere? Where What are his friends? Like he's going here going there? But do we ask this question and say, when my child comes home?
What is he or she exposed to? Inside my home?
We ask this question to ourselves and say, am I the best example for my child's? Can I say to my child be like me?
The Sahaba said this to everybody who know Miss Lara, be like us, I'm saying can you and I say that even to our own children?
Be like me.
And if I do say to my children be like me, will the child accept that statement?
Or is he going to fall down laughing?

Seriously, I request you ask yourself this question. And I asked myself also these questions.
Because there's absolutely no use, coming and listening to us, and going away with some good feeling under the law, nothing wrong with that. But if there is no change in our life, if there is no change in our attitudes, if there is no change in our behavior, if there is no change in what comes out of our mouth.
If there's no change in the actions that come out of our hands, then Believe me,
this experience of sitting in a hot bath is utterly useless. Not only is it utterly useless, it is a witness against you on the Day of Judgment.
I ask Allah subhanaw taala to to protect us from that. ask Allah subhanaw taala to enable us to benefit from these sessions. I asked Allah subhanaw taala to reward you for coming, to reward you for listening and to help you with his power to bring about change in your life such that your lives will become beacons of guidance, not only for your children, but for the children of the world. But for everyone who comes into contact with you have a God Allah subhanho wa Taala should guide anyone who comes into contact with you. ask Allah to guide anyone you speak to anyone who speaks to you. Anyone who looks at you, anyone who comes in your presence. Anyone who even sees
Anywhere, anyone who even walks on the path that you have walked up, ask Allah subhanaw taala to be pleased with you, and to grant you the company of the Gambia and the Olia of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
