Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen, wa salatu
wa salamu ala sharafil anbiya wal mursaleen, wa
hamadu rasulullahi sallallahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa
sahbihi wa sallam, tasliman kaseeran kathira, fa man
badu.
What did Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam say
about domestic abuse?
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, if you
do domestic abuse or any other kind of
abuse, then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will
punish you.
And when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala punishes
you, that punishment is far more and far
more painful and far more difficult to bear
than whatever is happening in this world.
Any kind of abuse in Islam is haram,
totally haram, haram, haram, haram, haram.
Whether it is domestic abuse, whether it is
abuse by a teacher to the student, student
to the teacher, abuse of employees, what any
kind of abuse, Islam came to establish adal.
What is the ayah which we hear in
the khutbah every Jum'ah?
Innal laaha ya'muru bil adli wal ihsaan.
Allah commands you to do adal and then
more than that ihsaan.
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, when you
are weighing, give more.
Because if you are weighing and you give
the exact amount, this is adal, you should
give it.
You cannot give less, but he said give
more.
No abuse, no abuse of any kind to
anybody, not to children, not to wife, not
to husband, not to your dog, not to
your cat, not to your tree, not anything,
no abuse of anything.
A Muslim does not abuse anybody for any
reason.
Is it clear?
Any other question?
La ilaha illallah, subhanallah, may Allah bless you.
This is the problem.
This is our problem.
It's not his problem, it's all our problem.
If you don't have that, may Allah bless
you.
I can say probably without exception, every one
of us, illa mashallah, may Allah keep those
who are protected, may Allah protect them.
Otherwise, all of us have this.
The solution for this is, first of all,
understand why this is there.
This is there because this is our conditioning,
our mental conditioning.
From the beginning, you must have a good
job, you must have big money.
If you don't have money, you will starve.
If you don't have a job, you will
starve.
If you are looking for a husband for
your daughter, number one question.
How many Muslims, when you are looking for
a husband for your bride, how many of
you ask, does he pray five times a
day?
Does he go to the masjid?
Do you ask the question?
No.
What is his job?
How much money is he earning?
Alhamdulillah, I agree, asking about the income, asking
about halal income, nothing is wrong with that,
we should ask.
I'm not saying to marry your daughter to
some faqir, no.
But the point is, what about his deen?
I have seen grown men, in the masjid,
making wudu.
In one masjid, I saw one brother, he's
wearing shoes, so he's making wudu.
He starts with making masa over his shoes.
He starts with making masa over the shoes.
Then he washes his hands, then he washes
his face, his wudu is over.
What wudu is this?
Which madhab?
Shafi, Hanafi, Ambali, Mariki?
You can make masa over the shoes, if
you are going to pray with the shoes.
But you are going to take the shoes
off.
So your wudu is gone.
Number two, how does the wudu start with
the feet?
Whether it is shoes or no shoes.
So it means that, alhamdulillah, think about this,
apart from the thing, it's fine.
Here is a man, may Allah bless him.
He takes all the time and trouble to
come for salah to the masjid.
He's leaving his work or his job or
something, may Allah bless him.
But he has not learnt how to make
wudu.
So he comes to the masjid, he's praying
in the masjid, his salah is invalid because
his wudu is invalid.
How long does it take to learn to
make wudu?
Two minutes.
So this is our problem.
Our problem is this.
Our problem is, continuously we have been conditioned.
Duniya, duniya, duniya, duniya, duniya.
If you don't have duniya, you will know.
We have to change this record back.
And we have to say, Allah, Allah, Allah,
Allah.
And we have to say, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala, la hawla wa la quwwata illa
billah.
La yanfa wa la yadhur illa Allah.
No faiza and no nukhsan, no benefit and
no harm can come except by Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala's will.
Number one.
Number two, in this, we have to recondition,
literally we have to recondition our minds.
Because unfortunately our minds have got spoiled.
The whole life has been like this.
Conditioned to focus on the duniya.
So we have to change that.
It is painful, what can we do?
It's like physical exercise, right?
If you have not done physical exercise all
your life, what do the doctors tell you?
They say that after the age of 40,
if you are not exercising, if you don't
strengthen your legs, you are looking at a
wheelchair.
Simple as that.
You will be in a wheelchair.
Not because you are sick, but because your
legs have lost their strength.
You fall down, your bone will break because
there is no calcium, because there is no
force in the legs.
Even if you don't have osteoporosis, the bone
will still become weak.
And if you fall, you will break your
hip or you will break your bone for
no reason because you don't want to move.
So now what must you do?
Start exercising.
What is the first thing that happens if
you start exercising?
Number one thing, what happens?
Pain, right?
You feel like, am I crazy?
Why am I doing this?
But after a little while, pain goes away.
So same way, this is exercise of the
heart and the soul.
We have to clean our hearts.
Our hearts are filled with idols.
The idol is a politician.
The idol is a shop.
Remove all this.
For that, again, use the Qur'an al
-Karim.
Use the seerah of Rasulullah ﷺ.
The Qur'an is full.
Allah told us so many stories.
For what?
The Qur'an is not entertainment, right?
Why does Allah tell us?
Take, for example, Musa al-Isa.
Allah tells the story.
All of the stories of the Qur'an,
if you look at what Allah is doing,
whatever Allah said goes against our logical thinking.
For example, Musa al-Isa.
What was the situation?
Situation was that Pharaoh had issued an order,
a forma, an edict to say that any
newborn baby should be killed.
Because he had this information to say, they
told him that there is one person, one
child will be born in Bani Israel who
will destroy your kingdom.
So he said, very simple, kill all the
children, khalas.
From Israelites.
All the Bani Israel, kill them.
All the male, kill them.
Leave the women.
So Allah, what did He say?
He said, we inspired, we sent Wahi to
Umm Musa.
What is the Wahi Allah is sending her?
Allah is saying, you nurse him, but when
you fear for him, what should you do?
Supposing we tell you, if this is the
case, what should you do?
If somebody asks me, I'll say, no, then
if that is the case, what you do
is, quietly in the night, take this child,
run away somewhere, right?
Take the child out of Egypt.
Keep him safe.
Yeah, keep him safe.
Take him to Madian, or take him wherever,
somewhere else.
No, Allah says, put him in the Nile,
in the water.
Ya Rabb!
What, is that safety?
In the water?
Okay.
Fine, whatever it is, I'll put him in
the water.
Now, you can say, okay, put him in
the water.
Now Allah Subhanu wa Ta'ala takes this
child, in the water, it floats away somewhere,
goes away, out of Khaira and out of
all this place and the Pharaoh was not
in the Khaira at that time, because it
was a different place.
But okay, from there, it's gone and somewhere,
maybe some fisherman or somebody finds this child,
a nice child, and keeps it somewhere and
the Pharaoh is like, no, this water takes
him into the palace of the Pharaoh.
Right?
That is also not enough.
They find the child.
That is also not enough.
They identify the child.
Ha!
There is no mistake.
Allah does not need to fool anybody, right?
They identify the child, the priest they come
and say this is the one, we killed
so many for nothing, here is the one
who we were looking for, now he is
here, finish him.
Now here is imagine, I am just saying
this, imagine the pharaoh is standing there, Rameses
II, he is standing there holding the baby
like this.
All he has to do is drop the
baby, khalas.
He will hit his head on the stone
floor and he will be dead, no?
But how can the pharaoh do this without
the hukum of his Rabb?
So his wife tells him, let us give
the child, he is our child, we will
raise him, he will be good for us,
alhamdulillah, ok, khalas.
So Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala makes Rameses
II, the pharaoh of Egypt, the guardian for
Musa A.S. Imagine, his worst enemy, the
number one enemy of Musa A.S. is
the pharaoh, Allah makes that pharaoh his guardian.
Imagine, the entire lifestyle of the family of
Musa A.S. would have changed because he
is now the prince of the palace of
the pharaoh.
So now he goes back to the mother,
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala promised her, he
said I will return, he will return to
you and I will make him a rasul.
So now he, the child goes back to
the mother, as what?
As a prince.
So now they are giving him, the palace
is giving him, you know, giving her a
payment.
What do you think the palace will give
her?
The palace gives her enough for her to
feed her whole family, yeah?
Ibrahim A.S. He is all tied up
and dressed up and in this cup of
this trebuchet, the catapult, they built such a
big fire, they can't go near the fire,
so they have to throw him from a
distance.
Now imagine this, just imagine the scene.
This is the dunya.
He is tied up and he is sitting
in this cup, right?
The people are collected, huge crowd collected all
around and you can imagine people shouting wah
wah yah yah, the people are seeing Ibrahim
A.S. sitting there.
Now we know, the Hadith of Musa A
.S., it's also mentioned in Tafsir al-Ghasir,
Jubilee Salam comes to Ibrahim A.S. And
he says, yeah Ibrahim, can I do something
for you?
Now imagine, this is face to face conversation
because Ibrahim A.S. knows Jubilee Salam.
He would have met him before, somewhere, sometime,
you know, so he is not a stranger
to him.
Can I do something for you?
So if Ibrahim A.S. had told Jubilee
Salam, do this, do that, it is halal,
he is not standing at a Qamar and
asking somebody, this is, can I help you?
No.
I don't need your help.
No, of course, Jubilee is a Malak, he
comes only by the Hukam of Allah.
So again Jubilee Salam goes to Allah S
.W.T. and Allah knows everything.
He says, Ya Rabb, this is your Khalil,
this is what is happening to him, I
went and asked him, can I help you?
He says, no.
What shall I do?
Allah S.W.T. says, now you go
tell him, I sent you.
And say, his Rabb wants to know, I
want to know, what does he want?
And Ibrahim A.S. says, my Rabb does
not need to ask.
He says, I want, what do I want?
He says, I want whatever he wants, 100%,
I want whatever he wants.
You want me to burn in the fire,
you want to save me, save me.
Ibrahim A.S. could have made dua to
Allah S.W.T., I want, Ya Allah,
save me.
He did not even ask that.
Think about this.
It is jahiz, no, you can ask for,
Ya Allah, save me.
No, he didn't ask that.
He did not say, Ya Allah, save me.
He said, I want whatever you want.
When Ibrahim A.S. removed the makhluq, Jibail
A.S. in this case, when he removed
the asbab bainahum wa bainallahi ta'ala, between
him and Allah, Allah S.W.T. directly
addressed the fire.
Qulna, Ya naar kuni bardan wa salaman ala
Ibrahim.
Allah did not say to Jibail A.S.,
go put out the fire, Allah said, Ya
naar.
Allah directly commanded the fire, become a source
of safety for Ibrahim A.S. Not just
get cold and now he is freezing, no.
Become a source of safety for Ibrahim.
Now think about this.
This whole conversation and this thing, did the
people see this?
No, because this is happening in ghaib.
People are not seeing the angel coming, going,
nothing.
They don't know anything.
All this is happening in terms of time,
it takes me longer to tell you than
actually it would have happened in a matter
of seconds.
Then what happens?
Then the king gives the order, throw him
in the fire, they cut the rope, he
is flung, the people are seeing Ibrahim A
.S. tied up, flying through the air, falling
in the fire.
Everybody is, aaaah, cheers.
Right?
This is what happened, right?
People have not seen.
People have not seen what is happening in
the ghaib, but what is the reality?
The reality is Ibrahim A.S. falls in
the fire, the fires, Allah did not stop
the fire, Allah did not put out the
fire, because Allah wants us to learn the
lesson, the fire does not burn.
It is the hokum of Allah S.W
.T. If Allah orders the fire to burn,
the fire burns.
The fire does not have the capacity to
burn by itself.
So the fire burns the ropes, Ibrahim A
.S. is free, the thick rope is burned,
but the tender skin of Ibrahim, the one
hair on the skin of Ibrahim is not
touched by the same fire.
Right?
This is our Rab, Jalla Jalaluhu, Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
So have this in your heart, when you
stand in Salah, say Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
We say Allahu Akbar, we did not say
our business is Akbar, we did not say
the politician is Akbar, we did not say
president is Akbar, we did not, Allahu Akbar.
Now seriously, we have to keep reminding ourselves,
keep on reminding, keep on reminding, it does
not have to be in a Khatira, in
a Masjid, in a Sheikh, each other, each
other, each other.
When we talk to each other, talk about
Allah, talk about Rasulullah S.A.W., talk
about the fact that only and only Allah
S.W.T. has Khudrat and Alhamdulillah, Allah
S.W.T. called us to worship him,
Allah S.W.T. opened our hearts to
him, this is the biggest mercy and blessing
of Allah.
If Allah gave you Deen, what are you
worried about man, who cares about the wealth
and this and that, Alhamdulillah nobody is starving,
Alhamdulillah Allah has given us enough, we are
all dieting, we are trying to lose weight,
where is the question of worrying about food,
we have too much food, forget about all
this, Alhamdulillah Allah gave us Iman, that's the
only thing which matters because may Allah cause
you and me to die with La Ilaha
Illallah, if we die with La Ilaha Illallah,
we get Jannatul Firdaus, what more do you
want, tell me.
Jazakumullah Khair.
