Mirza Yawar Baig – Building the Foundation
AI: Summary ©
The importance of Islam is highlighted, with a selection of third complaining that everyone is exposed to negative consequences of their actions and speech. Islam is not based on political parties, but rather on their emotions and actions. The message is that everyone is punished for their actions and emotions, and burying a woman in a cemetery is a good way to remember their story. The training given to its children for their professional career is also emphasized, including facing tests and trials and being sensitive to one's surroundings.

Allah make this,
summer school the best yet Inshallah,
and make it a source of huge blessing
for all of you and your families
and for
this community.
The ayat which sheikh recited,
the last ayat of
Surah Al Baqarah.
I think it's a beautiful
selection
of aya
to begin the program here
because
these
are the essence
of Islam.
The
the
circumstances
of revelation of these ayat
are when
Allah revealed the ayat just before
when Allah revealed
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reveal and said
that whatever
is in the heavens and the earth which
includes all of us and all of you
belongs to Allah
and Allah
said Allah is aware of whatever you
hide and whatever you reveal.
Allah is of your actions and speech and
Allah is aware of your thoughts and emotions.
And Allah
will hold you accountable
for that.
And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said
Allah
will forgive whoever he wants and he will
punish whoever he wants
and Allah is capable
of doing anything that he wants.
Now,
when these ayats were revealed,
this is the only thing that we have
to do is to do the same thing.
So, we have to do the same
thing.
And it included
all the big names of the Sabbath
after whom your
groups are named here.
Team Amar, team Abu Bakr and so on
these went to and
they said him they actually
fell down on the the knelt before his
before the Rasulullah
they fell down on their knees and they
said, yeah, Rasulullah,
salallahu alaihi salam,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has revealed something which
is
very heavy on us and we cannot bear
it.
And Allah
has said that he will not only hold
us responsible for what we speak and what
we do but Allah will also hold us
responsible
for what we think and what we feel.
They said our speech and our actions are
without
our control. They said that there are sometimes
we think without our control. They said that
there are sometimes we think some thought or
we feel some feeling
and if we could give the whole world,
the wealth of the whole world
not to feel that, not to think that
we would be happy to do that but
this does not happen. The feeling is there,
the thought is there, and Allah is now
saying that he can punish us for that.
So we will be destroyed.
Right? Now think about that.
Just logically speaking, because today everybody seems to
be very,
you know, swayed on this logical logic. Just
think about it. Logically speaking,
that objection
or the
not objection, but the of the Sahaba,
Was it reasonable? What do you think? Was
it not reasonable? Does it not sound reasonable
to you? If you are going to hold
me responsible
for my thought or my feeling over which
I have no control, is that fair?
Does it sound fair to you? But what
was the response of Rasulullah? Rasulullah
sallam's face became red with anger.
He said,
will you be like those before you? Who
when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed something for
them? They said
they said we hear but we will not
obey. And then the commanded
them and he said
He said,
say,
we hear and we obey.
Forgive us our up to you is our
return. Please think and reflect. He did not
say we hear,
we will think about that. If it makes
sense, if it is logical, if it appeals
to me, if it is politically correct, if
it is according to the woke culture, if
it is this, if it no. We hear
and we obey.
If it is sounds reasonable,
we obey. If it sounds unreasonable,
we obey. If we like it, we obey.
If we don't like it, we still obey.
If it is pleasurable, we obey. If it
is painful, we still obey.
Right?
This is the message of Islam.
And when they did that,
Allah
blessed them.
But think about this.
When they said this, that when Nabi Salam
commanded,
the Sabah repeated. They did not repeat their
complaint. They did not make an excuse. They
did not say, oh, no. No. No. No.
You know what? I we didn't mean that.
We meant it like this. No. The moment
he said, cool,
they repeated.
When they did
that What do you think happened?
Nothing happened.
Nothing happened for 12 months.
Said, Allah did not send relief from this
for 12 months.
So for 12 months, the
lived under this pressure, this mental and emotional
pressure
that we will be punished even for our
thoughts.
Now think about
what is the quality and level
of training
for obedience that is being given to them.
People who for 12 months
feared the punishment
of Allah even for their thoughts. Do you
think those people will ever actually disobey Allah?
Do you think those people will ever actually
do something which or speak something which is
against the will of Allah?
That was the training which was being given.
And after 12 months, Allah
revealed
right to the end. Now the point I'm
making is
this
is like the foundation
of a building.
It is the foundation of a building in
which we are putting in
as much
powerful material as possible so that the building
that is constructed
when all of you guys grow up, inshallah,
you will be able to take the challenge
of this Umma going forward in this
brave new world, so to speak, which is
a full of tests and and trials and
tribulations,
you will be able to face it and
you will be able to beat all those
tests. And that is the purpose of Magdah.
As far as the teachers are concerned,
may Allah
bless you, welcome.
You are doing something which I want you
to just reflect and think what are we
doing here.
Don't think of the okay. This is a
job. I'm I'm here because my pals are
here, my friends are here. No. No. No.
This is something which is so critically important
that you cannot even imagine how important that
is. And I want to end with a
true story which I was witness.
When I used to live here in 1997
to 2000,
we got a call here in this. Was
here.
We got a call to say that there
is a lady who passed away. She used
to live in Rhode Island. She died, and
we need to bury her in the cemetery
in Enfield because at that time, that was
the only Muslim cemetery. There's nothing else. So
they are going to bring the Janaza here
to bury.
So I said, okay.
By the time the Janaza came, it was
dark
after Maghrib.
Doctor Ali and I,
we don't know who the lady is. Somebody
from Rhode Island, not even from the community,
they just said we are coming to bury
her here.
But we said, you know, since they told
us and so on, o'clock and at least
let us go. So we went to the
cemetery.
You won't believe.
That entire cemetery
was full of cars. The road approaching is
full of cars. Cars all the way back.
We had to park somewhere and walk, and
the place was jam packed with people.
Now I said, woah,
Who
died?
This is like some, you
know, some
I mean, huge crowd of people in the
night.
I said, who died?
So I asked some people.
They said this was a lady who used
to teach children Quran.
That's it.
This was a lady
who used to teach children Quran.
So I said, who are all these people?
They said all of these people, at least
many of them, are people she taught
and their children
who have now grown up. They have children.
They came for a funeral and Allah knows
best.
There were people there
who I can only see Allah sent
because I don't know who they were.
And then
I was passing by the hearse
which brought the body.
The man who would drive off the hearse,
he tells
me, you guys, do you put perfume on
the body when you, when you take to
the graveyard?
I said, no.
We don't do perfume.
See? You got children.
He said, come smell this hearse.
When I smell the hearse,
it's
absolutely
perfumed. It's got smelling of flowers,
beautiful perfume in the hearse. You
know what that is?
The. The angels
accompanied
that body
to the.
That is what you are.
That is what you are doing here.
Every single 1 of your teachers,
this is what you are doing.
You're building
this
for yourself.
Every single 1 of them
will be a witness in your favor.
And when they grow up
and when they have children,
those children will be witnesses in your favor.
So do the work with that love. Do
the work with that sense of
of of, you know, heaviness and greatness that
you're doing. I know you do a brilliant
job. You guys have done it before.
Several times before. May Allah bless you. May
Allah be with you. May Allah protect you.
May Allah help you in ways you cannot
imagine.
And give you and answer your like
use to answer the Duas of the
