The importance of peace and blessings for the most terrifying names of Jesus, Muhammad, and the world is discussed. The most terrifying name is Islam, and people should check their heart to see if there is an effect on their body or their skin. The use of a catapult to put someone into a fire and the use of a siege engine are also discussed. The reality is that the fire is the source of sbed, and the fire by its nature does not burn. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,
the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of
the worlds.
And peace and blessings be upon the most
honoured of Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad, the Messenger
of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him
and his family and his companions.
Peace be upon you.
From my brother, my brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent us in
his Kalam, in his Kitab, a meter, a
gauge to judge the level of our Iman.
If I want to know, and I'm sure
all of us want to know, whether we
are Mu'mineen or not, then Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala gave us the means of checking
that, and knowing for ourselves whether we are
Mu'mineen or we are not, or even if
we are Mu'mineen, Alhamdulillah, what is the level
of our Iman.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said in Surah
Al-Anfal, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said,
The Mu'mineen are those who, when Allah is
mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His verses
are recited to them, their faith increases, and
they put their trust in their Lord.
Those who perform Salat and from what We
have provided for them, they blow.
Those are the true Mu'mineen.
They have degrees with their Lord and His
forgiveness and noble provision.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said in these
verses, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala described five
qualities, five qualities of the believers.
Three of them internal, and two of them
in terms of action, external.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, only
people with these five characteristics and qualities are
believers.
Allah said, they are the people who are
the true believers.
So these five qualities, first of them, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala said, that when the
mention of Allah, when the Zikr of Allah
comes before them, their Qulub, their hearts, shiver
with the glory and majesty and awe of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
When Allah is mentioned, something happens to the
heart.
The heart is not a dead thing in
the body, the heart is alive.
The heart responds.
Ta'ala Allahu wa Lam Saad, think about
this, that if somebody abuses us, if somebody
curses you, does it have an effect on
your heart?
Does it have an effect on your body?
Does it have an effect on your blood
pressure?
Does it have an effect on your skin
colour?
Does it have an effect?
No, it has no?
If somebody curses you, I mean obviously when
he's cursing you, what he's saying is not
true, it is a lie, still it produces
an effect.
Then how sad if the Haq, the Kalam
of Allah, the name of Allah, the Zikr
of Allah, how sad and terrible it is
if that does not produce an effect.
So the first measurement is to check what
happens to my heart when Allah is mentioned.
The most simple time and place that Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has mentioned five times
a day is in the Adhan.
The muezzin says Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
Does it have any effect on my heart
or not?
It's for us to check.
Then when we read the Quran Al-Karim
or we listen to the Quran Al-Karim,
is there any effect on the heart or
not?
Then when we see the Ayat of Allah,
when we see the signs of Allah around
us in the creation, is there an effect
on the heart or not?
Iza dhukirallahu wajilat qulubu.
And then Allah said, wa iza tuliyat alaihim
ayatuhu zadatum ibara.
Which is what I mentioned here, Tilawat Al
-Quran as well as seeing the Ayat of
Allah.
It increases their Iman.
If I'm feeling sad, I stop feeling sad.
If I'm feeling anxious, I stop feeling anxious.
If I'm feeling worried, I stop feeling worried.
If I feel what is going to happen,
Alhamdulillah.
Whatever is going to happen will only be
what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wants to
happen.
Then why are you worried?
What is the worry?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wa ar-Rahman
wa ar-Rahim.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loves us.
He told us He loves us.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala huwa alimun bi
dhati sudur, knows what's in our hearts.
Huwa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir, He
has control and qudrat over everything.
Huwa biyadil khair, and in His hand is
only khair.
So what is the worry?
The one who has control over everything is
ar-Rahman wa ar-Rahim.
And He is the one who is going
to do whatever is going to happen.
And I worship Him.
I don't worship anybody else.
I don't join partners.
So what is the worry?
So if there is worry, it means that
all of these things which I mentioned, we
have forgotten.
So we are worried.
What will happen?
fa-idha tuniyat alaihim ayatuhu zato suniwaan huwa
ala rabbihim yatawakkarun And on their Rabb they
have tawakkul, they have complete and total trust.
Tawakkul is the result of these two things,
of a heart which is responsive to the
dhikr of Allah, and a person whose iman
increases with the tilawat of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala's kalam and we're seeing His signs.
When we bring and make our heart and
bring it to that level, tawakkul is given
to us.
Tawakkul is the gift.
Tawakkul is the reward.
huwa ala rabbihim yatawakkarun Complete and total tawakkul
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Ibrahim alaihi salam, in tafsir min kaseer, alama
ibn kaseer rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, Ibrahim alaihi salam
is in the cup of the tribute shade.
The catapult which is to throw him into
the fire.
Imagine, put yourself there in that situation.
Imagine the scene.
The whole town, the whole, God knows what
it is, country or something, they all, it's
in Babylon, so the whole town has gathered
thousands of people.
They all want to see Khalilullah being burnt.
And they built this fire and they built
the fire so big that they can't get
close to the fire.
So they have to use a siege engine,
a catapult, to throw him into the fire.
So you can imagine, the people who operate
that siege engine, they would have fired some
ranging shots with rocks and so on and
so forth, so they know exactly how far
and what to do.
Then they bring Ibrahim alaihi salam and they
put him in this thing, he's all tied
up and dressed up.
And he's seeing the fire, the people are
seeing the fire, there's a big noise.
Jibreel alaihi salam comes to him and says,
and we know all this is happening in
Allah, this is not visible to the people,
this is from the life.
But Jibreel alaihi salam comes to Ibrahim alaihi
salam.
And he says, yeah, Ibrahim, tell me, what
can I do for you?
How can I help you?
Do you need anything from me?
Ibrahim alaihi salam says, I don't need anything
from you.
I do not need anything from you.
Now imagine, this is Ibrahim alaihi salam, he
knows Jibreel alaihi salam.
Jibreel alaihi salam, you would have met him
many times before.
So if a person is asking another person
who is visible there to him, who is
present, he asks him, help me, it is
not shirk.
It is justice, nothing is wrong with that.
But he says, can I help you?
Do you need anything from me?
He says, no.
Now Jibreel alaihi salam goes to Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala, and of course Allah knows
all of this.
And he says, ya Rabb, your Khalil is
going to be what?
I went to ask him, and again Jibreel
alaihi salam is Sayyid ul Malaika, he is
the angel, he is the head of the
angels.
Malaika do not do anything with their own
desire.
So even the first time Jibreel comes, he
is with the uqmah of Allah.
So he goes back, he says, ya Rabb,
your Khalil is going to be what?
I asked him, can I help you?
He says, you can't do anything for me,
what shall I do?
Allah says, go to him and tell him,
I said to you now.
And he is telling him, his Rabb wants
to know, what does he want?
His Rabb wants to know, what does he
want?
Jibreel comes to him, he says, ya Khalilullah,
your Rabb is asking, what do you want
from him?
Jibreel alaihi salam says, my Rabb does not
need to ask.
So, I want whatever he wants, I want
whatever he wants, he does not need to
ask.
When Ibrahim alaihi salam removed the Zariyat between
him and his Rabb, which is Jibreel, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala also removed the Zariyat.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala directly addressed
the fire.
Allah mentioned in the Quran, Qulna ya'nar
kuni bardan wa salaman ala Ibrahim.
The lesson we said, to the fire.
Allah did not say, Jibreel alaihi salam, go
tell the fire, no.
Qulna ya'nar kuni bardan wa salaman ala
Ibrahim.
Who fire?
Become cold, but a source of safety for
Ibrahim.
Don't freeze him, source of safety.
Imagine you are standing there, I am standing
there, we are watching.
What are we seeing?
We are not seeing all this.
We are only seeing the fire, we are
seeing people making a lot of noise and
so on, so on, this.
And then what happens?
The king says this, he lowers his hand,
the people at the trebuchet, they cut the
rope, it is fired, Ibrahim alaihi salam flies
through the air into the fire.
And the people are cheering and say, okay,
we are finished, we got rid of this
problem, we burnt him.
The people are seeing that they have succeeded.
Yes or no?
The people are seeing that they succeeded.
They burnt Qanilullah, they burnt the Rabbi of
Allah.
But what is the reality?
The reality is nothing happened to him.
He is safe.
The ropes which tied him, the fire burnt
the ropes, but he is safe.
And when he walks out, then they know.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala did not put
out the fire.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala ordered the fire
itself to be the source of salaman and
safety for Ibrahim alaihi salam.
Allah did not put out the fire.
If Allah had put out the fire, our
Iman would have been on the fire, not
on Allah.
We would have said Ibrahim alaihi salam was
saved because the fire was put out.
Meaning the fire had power.
If the fire had not been put out,
it would have burnt.
But Allah wants our faith and our Iman
to be on Allah, not on the fire.
Fire has no power.
La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
The fire has no power.
The fire will do what the Rabb of
the fire tells it to do.
The nature of the fire may be to
burn, but the fire by its nature does
not burn.
The fire burns because of the order of
Allah.
This is the meaning of tawakkul.
Wa ala rabbihim ya tawakkaloon.
What do you want?
I want whatever you want.
Rida bil qadr.
And then Allah said two external things.
The person who has this kind of a
heart, what are you going to see in
his actions?
Allah did not say they simply pray or
they establish of salah.
Establishment of salah.
Iqamat-e-salah.
Allah did not say they simply pray or
they establish of salah.
The salah is the number one important thing
in life.
We don't pray when we have time.
We pray when it is the time to
pray.
Wa allatheena yuqimoo rasoola, wa mimma razaqna huwa
alfiroo.
And they spend from what we have given
them.
Allah has given us time, we spend time
in the path of Allah.
Allah has given us life, we spend life
in the path of Allah.
Allah has given us wealth, we spend wealth
in the path of Allah.
Whatever Allah has given us.
And then people who do this and may
Allah make us all among them, Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala gave them the seal of
approval.
Ulaika umul mu'minoona haqqa.
These are the people who are true believers.
Who is saying that?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And then what for them?
Lahum darajatun inda rabbihim.
They have great stations of honour with their
Rabb.
Wa waqfiratun.
And forgiveness from Allah.
Wa riskun kareem.
And they will get beautiful sustenance.
Riskun kareem fil aakhirah.
Jannatul Firdausul Aala insha'Allah.
Wa riskun kareem fil dunya.
Is sustenance which is sufficient for us, which
we get without any stress, and without running
around here and there.
Alhamdulillah.
Peaceful.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
make us all true believers.
True believers.
And we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
to enable us to have that state of
iman, and have that state of taskiyat al
-nafs, and have that state of our qulub.
And have the state of our a'mal, beginning
with the establishment of salah, and with spending
in the path of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala, which pleases Him.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
be pleased with us, and never to be
displeased.
Wa sallallahu ala nabiyyil kareem wa ala alihi
wa sahbihi ilayh.
Bi hurmati l-Fatiha.
