Bismillah.
Bismillah.
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim.
Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen.
Wasalatu wasalam ala sayyidina wa nabiyyina wa maulana
muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa salam.
Allahumma inna nas'aluka hubbak wa hubba man
yuhibbuk wa hubba amalin yukarribuna ila hubbik ya
arham al-rahimeen.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for
his love.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
give us the love of those actions that
will gain his love.
And we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
to give us the love of those that
he loves insha'Allah ta'ala over everything.
And we're continuing with this Surah al-Hadeed.
And the objective is to have this deeper
connection with the Quran.
This deeper connection because when we finish the
seerah, Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam at the
end, he said, I'm leaving you something that
if you hold on to it, you'll be
good.
You'll be good.
And that was the Kitab of Allah.
He's saying that I left the Book of
Allah for you to connect to, for you
to bond to, for you to understand, for
you to think about, to reflect on.
And I thought there was no beautiful surah
than Surah al-Hadeed.
More beautiful because Surah al-Hadeed, it's a
surah that was revealed in Medina.
And what that means is like the foundation
of Iman had been built.
See, we have to understand that the surahs
that were revealed in Mecca, they were to
build Iman.
They were all about the Akhira.
They were all about the Day of Judgment.
They were all about like, like heaven and
*.
The reason was because Iman had to be
built in Akhira.
And once the Iman and the hereafter is
built, then you can put whatever you want
on the foundation because it won't crumble because
it's all for Allah.
It's all for the Akhira.
So all of the surahs and SubhanAllah, there's
a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari where Aisha radiallahu
ta'ala Anha.
She says, and these are her words, and
I mentioned this last week.
She says that the first thing to be
revealed were the small surahs as we call
them.
That kept talking about heaven, *, Jahannam, Jannah.
They were talking about all of this, she
says, until our hearts were firm.
And then she says, then nazal al-halal
al-haram.
She says, then all the halal and haram
came.
And she says this with her own words,
SubhanAllah radiallahu anha.
She said that if the first verses to
be revealed were don't drink alcohol, the people
would have said we'll never give it up.
What she's teaching us is in order for
a person to be able to truly act
upon what Allah wants, Iman has to be
built first.
But this surah was revealed in Medina.
But this surah is interesting because it was
revealed at a time when people started to
slack a little bit.
People started to slack a little bit, meaning
a lot of the struggles of the early
days, Badr, Uhud, that was gone.
And it was getting a little easier, and
when things get easier, we started to slack
a little.
And so this surah came down along with
a few others.
This surah came down at a time that
it was telling the believers like, get on
your game again.
Get back on it, stay on top of
this deen, don't let up.
And it's just such a beautiful, beautiful surah.
And so last week we went over the
first six verses where Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala,
he begins.
And I'll just back up so we could
go into today's verses.
Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala begins surah al-Hadeed.
سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَضِ Everything in
the heavens and the earth praises Allah.
No matter what it is, it's a bottle
of water, a pen.
Everything animate, inanimate is praising God.
What you should be thinking is, what about
me?
Am I the only thing not into the
system?
Like everything else is tapped into Allah, everything.
You know, like some of the scholars, they
were like, well, what about the kafir though?
You know what I mean?
Like, you know, Becky, right?
Nah, she could be Muslim too, whatever, right?
Like she over there, she not glorifying Allah,
right?
Imam Razi goes, no, whether it's doing it
or not, its own existence is a testimony
to God.
Its own existence is a testimony to God.
And so whatever you look at, whoever you
look at, they themselves is the testimony to
Allah's power.
So Allah begins this verse by saying, سَبَّحَ
لِلَّهِ You know what else we get from
that?
Allah goes, I don't need your praise, yo.
Sometimes we feel like we're doing the deen
a favor.
Like if I don't worship Allah.
Oh, what will happen?
No, Allah says سَبَّحَ Everything in the heavens
and the earth is praising Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ
تَعَالَى وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ حَكِيمٌ And he's the almighty,
the all wise.
And we spoke last week.
The might is with the other attribute of
the wise.
He has the power to end all of
the oppression we see right now.
But there's hikmah, there's wisdom.
That's heavy.
You know, we were on our way here,
right?
And I don't know about y'all, but
I got stuck in the little traffic down
the street.
And so I was with my kids, right?
And the GPS was telling us to go
a different direction.
But I'm a creature of habit, yo.
So I looked at the GPS, and the
GPS was like, yo, go the other way.
I'm like, I never go that way.
So I asked the kids, I was like,
yo, what should we do?
Should we do what we normally do or
listen to GPS?
And they, I don't know what they said,
but I was like, I'm doing it.
I was like, I'm going to do what
I do, because I don't trust GPS right
now.
And lo and behold, I got hit with
like eight minutes traffic, and I'm late now.
So we're on our way.
We're stuck in the traffic.
And they start playing the game like, yo,
what if?
They're like, what if we went the other
way?
And subhanallah, they themselves, I think it was
Maria, she's like, no, Allah is all wise.
There's a reason he made us go this
direction.
There's a reason.
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know what would have happened
on that other route.
But I know there's a reason why I
was stuck in that traffic right there.
And the only way that makes me patient
through the traffic is knowing that Aziz and
Hakeem already knows I'm there.
I'm supposed to be there.
There's nothing I could have did to go
another direction.
Aziz, Hakeem, there's a reason where I'm at,
where I'm at in my life.
To him belongs the dominion of the heavens
and the earth.
He's in control of everything.
Your boss is in control.
The lobby groups are in control.
We'll fight.
We'll do what we got to do.
But in our heart of hearts, we know
they're not in control.
We'll do our part because that's what the
Prophet taught us.
But in the depths of my heart, I
know you don't got no control.
You have no control.
SubhanAllah.
يُحِي وَيُمِيت He gives life.
He causes death.
He gives life.
He causes death.
وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ He, Allah, has
power over everything.
هو الأول.
He's the first before everything.
آخر.
He's after everything.
Begin your day with him.
End your day with him.
هو ظاهر.
He is clear, manifest in everything.
Everywhere you look, you see signs of God.
وَهُوَ الْبَاطِنِ And the deeper you look into
things, the deeper you see signs of God
too.
وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٍ And he is over
everything aware, knowledgeable, knowing.
Knowing.
You know, a lot of times we like
نَعُذُ بِاللَّهِ We shouldn't do this.
But these verses about Allah, we kind of
gloss through them.
لا.
This is where you build your Iman and
who Allah is.
This is where you build that true like,
who is my Allah?
Who is my Allah?
These are those verses.
He's the one that created the heavens and
the earth in six days and established himself
on the Arsh, on the throne.
He didn't rest.
He established himself on the throne.
يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَضْحِ He knows everything
that enters the earth and everything that comes
out of the earth.
Like our actions and everything that descends from
the heavens.
وَمَا يَعْلُجُ فِيهَا And everything that goes up
through the heavens.
And then he says وَهُوَ مَعَكُم And he's
with you wherever you are.
And I said that's the client.
That's the of this section.
That's the main thing for me.
Because once you reach that level of realizing
God is with you everywhere, you're untouchable.
You're untouchable.
As I said, the prophet is in a
cave.
عَلَيْهِ السَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ There's a bounty on his
head.
They just look down.
It's over.
Game over.
Abu Bakr is scared.
And what is his words?
اِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا Allah is with us.
With.
With.
And Wallah, if you can learn to say
that to somebody in a tough moment, Allah
is with you.
Allah is with you.
اَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ A
lot of people get stuck on these verses.
Oh, is Allah everywhere?
Where can Allah go?
Don't get lost in the meaning, y'all.
Allah is with you.
His knowledge, His power, His help.
Allah is with you.
وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ Now we move on
to today's verses.
Today's verses are heavy.
Beautiful, but heavy.
Verse number seven.
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى He says, آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ
وَرَسُولِهِ This verse is not talking to disbelievers.
It's not talking to non-Muslims.
It's talking to believers, but it begins by
saying آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ Believe in Allah.
Believe in Allah.
It's because the believers weren't acting like believers.
The believers weren't acting like believers.
And so Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى In this
verse, He says to the believers, آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ
Believe in Allah.
The reason I say that is a lot
of these verses when a verse goes, hey,
believe in Allah, a lot of us go,
yeah, yeah, I'm a Muslim.
Check that off, I did that one.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
We read the آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ Okay, good,
got it.
Done, done.
No, not done.
Not done.
There's a beautiful narration that I came across.
سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى There's a beautiful narration that
I came across that Mu'adh ibn Jabal
Mu'adh ibn Jabal He used to grab
another companion's hand and pull him and he
would say اِجِلِسْ مَعَنَا نُؤْمِنْ سَعَاتًا He would
grab his hand and he would say, hey,
come sit down with me.
Let's believe for a second.
Like, that's weird.
To me and you, we don't think of,
hey, let's believe for a minute.
Let's believe for a second.
Let's believe.
And what he meant by that is let's
just sit down and talk about Allah.
Talk about the Day of Judgment.
Talk about Akhirah.
Talk about where you're going.
He would grab him by the hand and
he would say, sit down.
نُؤْمِنْ سَعَاتًا Let's believe for a little bit.
Let's believe for a little bit.
It's a beautiful, beautiful concept.
May Allah give us people like that.
آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ Believe in Allah and the
Rasul.
Believe in Allah and the Rasul.
Because we weren't acting like we believed.
We said we believed, but we weren't acting
in it.
آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ Believe in Allah and the
Rasul.
And what's next?
وَأَنفِقُوا And spend.
Spend.
Spend.
Like, Sadaqah, charity, spending in the path of
Allah, is directly connected to Iman.
And the reason why it's directly connected in
Iman, is you only give in the path
of God when you know and realize that
Allah rewards you back for it.
Otherwise, you're just going to hold on to
it.
So Allah SWT says, آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَأَنفِقُوا
And spend.
Spend.
Spend.
مِمَّا جَعَلَكُمْ مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ Spend from that which
God has made people inherit from you and
what you inherited from people.
What does this mean?
That money you got right now, that ain't
yours, yo.
Allah gave you that for some time to
see what you'll do with that wealth, to
see what you'll do with that health, to
see what you'll do with that beauty.
Whatever God gave you, that strength, whatever God
gave you, He gave you that for some
time.
You're a Khalifa.
مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ means He just gave it to you.
But you know what else it means, مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ
Somebody after you is getting it.
Somebody after you is moving in that house,
yo.
They'll be like, yeah, I wonder who painted
these walls.
You know what I mean?
Like, why'd they choose that color?
You're gone.
You done moved on.
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى in this verse, He's
telling you like, you're not the owner of
what you have.
You have it for a short time, and
then you pass it on to somebody else,
or someone takes it from you.
Let me give y'all an example, man.
I'm in the car with my kids yesterday.
It was just us giving wifey a break,
you know what I mean?
They've been eating up her head all day.
So we go for ice cream, right?
Sometimes I like to just test them, you
know what I mean?
So I give them ice cream, right?
We go to, what's it?
Brom's, Brom's, how y'all say it?
Brom's, whatever, man.
Right?
And now what happens, everybody gets different flavors,
so you know how it is.
Let me taste yours.
Right?
We all did it.
But what happens occasionally is one of them
will be like, no, this is mine.
This is mine.
Now, I'm about to trigger some of y
'all.
Just telling you right now, some of y
'all are going to get triggered, okay?
No, this is mine.
And I'll look back and I'll be like,
all that ice cream is mine.
All of it is mine.
Ain't none of that y'all's.
And what's crazy is I'm thinking, share the
ice cream, because I could get you another
one.
I'm thinking in my mind, share it.
I just want to see if you'll share
it, because I could buy you five more
of those if I wanted to.
I could get you as much as you
want.
I just want to know what you'll do
with it when you'll realize that this ain't
mine.
And it's amazing because we get so attached
to what we have that we forget it's
not ours.
And it's not just money.
It's sometimes some of the people you love
in your life.
That's why when someone dies, we say, inna
lillahi, we belong to Allah, and we are
going back to Allah.
There was a Sahabiyat.
Her son passed away.
The husband was away in jihad.
He came back and he had died the
night before, the baby.
It's sad, man.
He had died the night before, so she
was in the corner of the house and
she had covered him up.
And so when he came back at night,
he said, how's Yahya doing?
And she said, imagine the strength of this
woman.
She goes, he's better than he's ever been.
And he goes, okay.
They were together that night.
In the morning, when they wake up, pray
Fajr, she says to him, what would you
say if somebody loaned somebody something and then
they asked for it back?
He goes, yeah, he deserves to get it
back.
He said, she goes, Allah Subh'anaHu Wa
Ta-A'la took Yahya back.
He was hot in the moment.
He ran to Rasulullah.
Ya Rasulullah, she let me stay the whole
night.
We were chilling the whole night.
She didn't even tell me.
The Prophet made dua.
She said, she's a wise woman.
And he made dua for the family.
The point I'm trying to make is this
verse, Ja'alakum mustakhlafeena fee.
Allah didn't give you that for you to
own.
He gave you something that other people are
gonna inherit from you and what you inherited
from other people.
You're gonna hold this for a short time.
So what he's trying to say is like,
why aren't you spending it in my way,
in my path?
There's a Hadith that I came across.
It's such a beautiful narration.
Such a beautiful narration.
Mutarraf bin Abdullah.
He says, one day I was walking up
to the Prophet.
Peace and blessings be upon him.
And I heard him reciting Al-Hakumut Takathur.
And that surah, what does it mean?
It means they've been destroyed by abundance.
Takathur is like, I need more, I need
more, I need more.
That's what Takathur is.
It's just, it's just like conspicuous consumption.
Gotta get the next thing, gotta get the
next thing.
And Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
says, Al-Hakum, it's gonna kill you if
you just keep trying to buy stuff.
So the Prophet was reciting this verse, Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam.
And then the Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he
said, Yaqulu ibn Adam.
The son of Adam, me and you, all
of us.
The son of Adam says, Mali, Mali.
My money, my money.
Wa hal laka min malik?
What do you have of your money?
This is the Prophet speaking to me and
you.
What do you have of your own money?
Illa ma akalta fa afnate.
Except what you actually eat and is gone.
Wa ma labasta wa ablate.
And what you wear and what you wear
out.
All that stuff in the closet, you can't
wear all of it.
It ain't going with you.
You can't take it all with you.
And then the Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said,
Awta saddaqta wa anbaita.
Or what you gave in charity and sent
forward.
See now, see this is where iman and
spending in the path of Allah are directly
connected.
I'm gonna say this.
In order for you to give in the
path of Allah, your iman has to be
high.
But to build your iman, you gotta give
in the path of Allah.
Because everyone looks forward to investments they place.
Everyone.
Everyone.
You have something you like, on your way
out.
I saw this when I was a convert
one time.
I mean, this was like five weeks in.
You know what I mean?
I remember this clear as day.
I walked up to a guy.
You know, convert, trying to meet everybody.
Hi, how are you?
You know what I mean?
Where are you from?
You know what I mean?
And he has a nice watch on.
And I said, that's a gorgeous watch.
And he must have been feeling it or
something.
Because he just went like this.
And I ain't like y'all.
No.
You know what I mean?
Most of them, they'd be like, nah, bro,
nah.
I was like, thank you?
Wow.
And what I realized from him, what he
said, he was like, I'm sending that for
my Akhira.
I was like, you don't like the watch?
He said, no, I loved it.
But what I love, I should give.
And he was in a moment in that
state.
He's like, what I love, I should give.
What I love, I should give.
What I love, I should give.
And that's why he gave it.
Because he's like, I do love this watch.
That's why.
And now, Jannah just got personal.
Because I got a watch I'm waiting to
give back.
See, when you invest in the Akhira, yo,
now you're like looking forward to the Akhira.
When you stayed up after Fajr and prayed,
two rakaat, got your Hajj, you're like, man,
I'm trying to see the dividends.
I'm trying to cash this in.
But when you don't invest in it, it's
kind of like, ah, if I go, I
go.
If I don't, I don't.
Invest.
So the Rasulullah, peace be upon him, in
this Hadith, he's like, what do you keep
of your wealth?
It's not yours.
You're just holding on, and Allah's just seeing
what you'll do while you have it.
And you know how I look at it?
Your strength, Allah's just seeing what you'll do
with it.
You ain't gonna be that strong forever.
That beauty you have, those gains you be
getting, you ain't gonna have it forever.
Allah's just seeing what you'll do.
Before you know it, there'll be another generation
that's strong, handsome, wealthy, whatever.
Allah gives it for a short time, just
to see what you're gonna do with it.
Just to see what you'll do with it.
جَعَلَكُمْ مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ And then the Prophet said
it so clear.
وَمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَذَاهِبْ Everything other than what
you ate, what you wore, and what you
gave, is gone, going to somebody else.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
I'm grinding right now for grandchildren that ain't
even gonna remember me?
SubhanAllah.
SubhanAllah.
The Prophet taught us to build generational wealth.
But how much do we sacrifice our Akhirah
for that money?
And it ain't even for you.
It's crazy.
And this is why I love, one day
the Prophet, the Prophet didn't get a lot
of like, like meat.
He didn't eat a lot of meat.
The Prophet ate meat very rarely.
Just because it was a luxury.
That's why Eid, you eat meat, because it's
like a big deal.
For many of us, we're like, oh, I
might fast on Eid.
Right?
I might not eat meat on Eid, because
we eat so much of it.
But the Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he didn't
eat a lot of meat.
One day he got a goat, and he
left it with Aisha.
It was slaughtered.
And she says, a beggar came to the
door, and asked me, and I gave some.
And then someone else came, and someone else
came, and someone else came.
Finally, the Prophet comes back home in the
afternoon.
And he goes, you know, like when I
left, the refrigerator was full.
So he comes back, and he's like, Aisha,
how much is left?
She says, nothing remains except the shoulder.
Nothing remains.
It's all gone except the shoulder.
He looked at her, and he said, Aisha,
what did he say?
The only thing that will remain, the only
thing that doesn't remain, is the shoulder.
Meaning, whatever we gave, we get back.
But whatever we keep is gone in this
dunya.
This is the prophetic, subhanAllah, the depth.
So I love this verse because Allah is
saying, anfiqo, spend.
But in the verse, Allah clarifies why to
spend.
You're just being given this thing for now
to see how you'll act with it.
Falladhina amanu minkum.
Allah says, and those from amongst you.
Whenever Allah says you, you gotta take it
like Allah speaking to you.
Falladhina amanu minkum.
And indeed, those who believe amongst you, wa
anfiqo, and those who spend because faith and
spending in the path of God are interconnected.
You can only do it when you truly
believe.
Lahum ajrun kabir.
There is an amazing reward for them.
Yani, you gotta focus on what that reward
is to motivate yourself to do what God
wants from you.
Ajrun kabir.
An amazing reward.
Now look at this.
You know, before I go to the next
verse.
For the first 18 years of my life,
I read the Bible.
And the Bible has a different style than
the Quran.
Like God doesn't talk to you in the
Quran, in the Bible.
It's really third person-ish, a lot of
it.
And when I picked up the Quran and
I started to read, I'm talking 22 years
ago, immediately I was kind of like, you
know when they say in some movies where
the person in the movie breaks the fourth
wall or something, and like looks at the
camera?
Y'all know what I'm talking about?
Oh, y'all don't watch stuff.
Oh, my bad.
Okay.
Y'all just read books.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
Breaks that fourth wall, it's kind of like,
oh, you know, I'm here now.
The Quran is interesting because Allah is constantly
like, yeah, I'm talking to you.
And like, looks at you.
The camera's right there.
There you go.
Right there.
So this next verse, Allah is like, stop
thinking of other people.
It's about you.
The next verse, verse number eight, Allah says,
What's wrong with you that you don't believe?
And I told you this was already for
believers.
So why aren't you doing what you're supposed
to do?
Let me fix it for us.
Why aren't you praying?
Why aren't you giving charity?
Why aren't you filling the gap with what
you don't do?
I know what I struggle with.
Allah says, So a lot of us are
like, oh, I'm a believer.
Okay.
Okay.
What about that moment when you were watching
a movie and you missed prayer because of
the movie, y'all?
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ The crazy part
about that nowadays is we could pause it,
y'all.
The OGs in the room know in my
day, you couldn't pause the show.
Y'all don't even know what I'm talking
about.
Allahu Akbar.
Y'all so used to it.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ Put it in
there.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُسَلُّونَ Why don't you pray?
Allah is speaking.
But notice how Allah asks a question.
وَمَا لَكُمْ What's wrong?
Why don't you pray?
And the question is crazy because if you're
reading the Quran, what's your response?
You're like, I don't know.
I don't know why.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُسَلُّونَ You're like, I don't
know.
Why am I not praying?
Why not?
Let's listen.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ What stops you?
Why aren't you believing in Allah?
وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُونَ While the Prophet is calling
you to believe.
He's calling you to pray.
He's calling you to be on your deen.
What's crazy is it's not like just believe
on your own.
There's someone رسول الله who is sitting there
calling you like, yo, you need to do
this, yo.
A coach in your corner.
Yo, you need to do this.
Yo, if you get up at this time,
yo, لا تغذب.
Don't get angry.
لا تغذب.
Don't get angry.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولُ While the
Prophet is calling you to believe in Allah.
There's a beautiful hadith.
You know, this is a beautiful hadith.
I need us to understand who he is.
We just did a whole series on the
Prophet.
صلى الله عليه وسلم, right?
And the objective was to connect to رسول
الله on a deeper level.
And this verse of the Quran is asking
us to envision who he is and his
role in our lives.
There's a hadith in Bukhari where Jabir says
أن ملائكة جاء إلى رسول الله وهو النائم.
I want you to picture this.
It's a mind-blowing hadith.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was sleeping
and the angels came to him.
The Prophet tells this hadith to us later.
Jabir's telling me and you.
أن الملائكة جاء إلى رسول الله وهو النائم.
رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم, he's sleeping
and the angels come to him.
فقال بعضهم وهو نائم.
The angels are speaking to each other over
his head while he's sleeping.
And one of them says هو نائم.
The other one goes نا إن العين نائم
والقلب يخضان.
His eyes are asleep but his heart never
sleeps.
Like his heart is awake right now.
Whatever you say, he'll take it in.
Like speak to him.
They're talking to each other.
They say the example of this man رسول
الله is like a man who built a
home.
وَاتَّخَذَ فِيهَا مَعْدُوبًا.
And in the home he laid out a
whole مَعْدُوبًا.
Like table spread of food.
Imagine a castle filled.
You walk in there's just this table spread
of food.
وَبَعَثَ دَائِيًا.
And then the owner of the house sent
somebody out to the village.
Call everybody in to the meal.
Call everybody in.
Remember the prophet is sleeping.
The angels are talking about this over his
head.
فَمَنْ أَجَابَ الدَّائِيَة.
Whoever answers the call.
دَخَلَ الدَّار.
Goes into the house.
وَأَكَلَ الْمَعْدَة.
And each from the table spread.
So the angels go tell him what it
means though.
Because they're speaking in metaphors.
So the angel goes tell him what it
means.
So the other angel goes who he's sleeping
though.
The angel goes I told you his eyes
are asleep but his heart is always awake.
قال.
The other angel says الدَّار جَنَّة.
The house is جَنَّة.
وَالدَّائِي the caller is محمد.
مَنْ أَطَاعَ مُحَمَّد دَخَلَ الدَّار.
This is the beauty of the deen.
See where Christians missed it.
They made the builder of the دَار.
Jesus.
Muhammad is the caller in the home.
The house is جَنَّة.
Whose house is it?
Allah's.
The prophet was sent to call.
Come on y'all.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on in.
There's a hadith where the Rasul صلى الله
عليه وسلم said everyone enters جَنَّة except who
refuses.
Sahabah are like يا رسول الله who would
refuse to enter جَنَّة?
That's what they said.
Who would refuse?
The prophet said من أطاعني دَخْلَ ومن أصاني
أبا.
Whoever listens to what I'm saying دَخْلَ.
Whoever disobeys me just ignores what I'm saying.
They've refused.
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم is calling us
in this hadith gets me.
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم in a beautiful
hadith he says my example to y'all
is like a person who kindled a fire
and then you know when you have a
campfire the gnats and the mosquitos and all
of this.
They start going towards it and the light
is pulling them but they die from the
fire.
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said I'm like
someone in front of a fire and I'm
pushing y'all away.
But y'all keep going to it.
This dunya looks good but when you get
it, it burns you.
It burns you.
And some of us in this room have
already been burnt so we're back.
We're like yeah I'm sitting over here.
I'm over here.
I'm good.
Dunya burns.
It really does.
Feel me?
الحمد لله الحمد لله.
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم says and I'm
holding you by حُجِزِكُم.
I'm holding you on by, you know, حُجِز
like the back of your I'm holding you
by the back of your claw, like the
back of your thoat.
But you're slipping out of my hands.
Because you keep trying to go to the
fire and I'm holding on to you and
you just keep going and I'm pulling back.
The verse is beautiful.
Allah says, listen to Allah speak to you.
Listen to the emotion.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ Why don't you
believe in Allah?
Pray Salah.
Do dhikr.
Obey the commandments.
وَالرَّسُولُ يَدَعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ And the Prophet, while
the Prophet is calling you, the Prophet is
saying come this way, let me show you.
Let me show you do this.
Let me show you do that.
Let me show you do that.
وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِثَاقَكُمْ And you already pledged to
this.
He already took a pledge from you.
You know, whenever there was a conversion, like
a person taking shahada, I see my teacher
do this.
Whenever somebody was taking shahada, he would tell
everyone else in the room who's already Muslim,
y'all need to say it too.
See, a lot of us think لا إله
إلا الله محمد رسول الله is just for
the convert.
Nah.
If you was born Aisha, you still need
to say that لا إله إلا الله محمد.
If you were born Ahmed, you still need
to say that.
So our teacher used to be like, yo,
y'all can all say shahada too with
him.
Now it's not like oh, you're becoming a
Muslim.
It's renewing.
Because this لا إله إلا الله is a
pledge that I'm gonna do everything I can
to please Allah.
It's a pledge.
It's a pledge.
And so Allah سبحانه وتعالى, He goes the
Rasul is calling you.
You already made a pledge.
But look how the verse ends إِن كُنْتُ
مُؤْمِنِينَ Exactly.
Oh, if you're a believer.
You know when somebody, you know reverse psychology?
You know when you was a kid, like
if you really wanna play, you know, you're
like, yeah, yeah, I wanna play.
You know what I mean?
Like, it gets you.
So Allah at the end of the verse,
He says وَمَعْلَكُمْ Why aren't you believing?
The Prophet is calling you.
You already pledged to this.
إِن كُنْتُ مُؤْمِنِينَ If you're a believer.
You're like, oh no, I'm a believer.
Then show up.
إِن كُنْتُ مُؤْمِنِينَ If you're a believer.
That's powerful.
That's why I'm saying how the Quran breaks
that fourth wall.
Because you're not reading about other people passively.
The writer of the book, Allah, is speaking
to you.
Powerful.
وَمَعْلَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ What's wrong with you?
You know, I like to ask myself, like
وَمَعْلَكُمْ What's wrong with me?
Why am I not praying my salah on
time?
Why am I not calling my mother?
Put whatever you're slacking in.
Why am I not?
And the Prophet has called me.
And I already signed up for this.
If I'm really a believer, that's the verse
right there for you.
That's the verse right there.
That's how I connect to this verse.
May Allah guide us.
وَمَعْلَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا
بِرَبِّكُمْ What is wrong with you that you
don't believe in Allah?
While the Prophet is calling you.
Calling you.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
SubhanAllah.
On the Day of Judgment, this is so
scary but it's so beautiful too.
On the Day of Judgment, there's a bridge
over the Hellfire.
It's called the Sirat.
And the Prophet said it's hard to pass.
Some people pass fast.
Based on their actions.
And some people will be slipping up.
Moving slow.
The Prophet said some will pass by the
speed of light.
Others will pass at the speed of a
fast bird.
Others will pass at the speed of a
horse.
Others will be running.
Others will walk.
The Prophet said and there'll be some people
crawling.
Crawling.
And he says it's all about your Iman,
your actions.
What you did.
But then the Prophet, peace be upon him,
he said, but I'm at the other side
of the bridge.
I'm there.
And I'm like, come on.
Come on.
Come.
Come.
Like your name.
Imagine your name.
Mikael.
Rasulullah, peace be upon him, is sitting there.
Mikael, come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Wallahi, if you think about that while we're
living, that's what helps you run on that
day.
He's calling, come, come.
Selim.
Selim.
Then the angels, the narration says there are
some people coming and they get snatched up.
And the Prophet says stop.
He's from my Ummah.
They're from my Ummah.
Stop.
No, they're with me.
And Allah says to the Prophet, you don't
know what those people did after you left.
They turned away.
May that not be us.
The reason why the Prophet tells us about
this is hindsight is 20-20.
Because that's gonna happen to someone, just don't
make it you.
The Day of Judgment, that will happen to
someone.
Don't let it be you.
Don't let it be me.
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لَيْتُؤْمِنُوا
بِرَبِّكُمْ Why don't you believe in Allah?
While the Prophet is calling you to believe
in your Lord.
وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِثَاقَكُمْ And he already took a
pledge from you.
You said, لا إله إلا الله.
You said, محمد رسول الله.
إِن كُنتُم مُؤْمِنِينَ If you're really a believer.
I'm a believer.
I'm a believer.
I believe.
All right, let's spend in the path of
Allah.
Let's do this.
Let's go.
Oh my goodness.
Now do you see?
Hold up.
Do you see how they used to stand
in prayer all night reading one verse?
Like, no, for real.
Like, you read it one time and you're
like, then you go back and you're like,
go back.
Go back.
And then fuzz your time with Oh my
God, I only read one verse.
But they were so caught up in that
verse, the meaning of it.
They were on another level of interaction with
it.
That's why it doesn't matter how much.
It's about the depth of your connection with
it.
All right, I'm gonna go to this next
verse though.
It's just, I don't know.
I'm just, subhanAllah.
وَالَّذِي يُنَزِلُ عَلَى Verse number nine.
وَالَّذِي Focus back on Allah.
Allah switches.
He switches us.
It's not about you no more.
Hold up.
You're a believer?
Cool.
Next verse, he's like, I need you to
focus on Allah.
Allah's like, focus on me for a moment.
Look here.
It's not about you.
Look here.
وَالَّذِي يُنَزِلُ عَلَى عَبَدِهِ He is the one
who sends down upon his servant.
Everywhere in the Quran, Muhammad is عَبْد.
صلى الله عليه وسلم.
عَبْد.
عَبْد.
Servant.
Servant, servant, servant.
Clear as day.
عَبْدِهِ Not God.
Not in between.
Not mixed.
Not one of three.
No.
عَبْد.
You know they say the greatest thing you
could become.
The higher you are, the more humble you
are.
The more of a servant you become, the
more you become like Muhammad صلى الله عليه
وسلم who was a servant of God.
وَالَّذِي He is the one.
Allah.
يُنَزِلُ عَلَى عَبَدِهِ Who sends down upon his
servant.
عَيَةٍ بَيِّنَتْ Clear signs.
Clear signs.
Okay, the word عَيَة.
You know the word عَيَة.
عَيَة in Arabic means a sign.
But not any type of sign.
A sign that has embedded in it like
memories.
Let me give an example.
So you know, you're going through that drawer
at home.
You know that drawer?
Oh yeah, I ain't got that drawer?
Thank you.
Exactly.
So you're going through that drawer at home,
okay?
And you pick up a medal or something
you got from like high school or college.
You know what I mean?
I got a medal with all my like
marathon running joints.
You know what I mean?
Right?
Old days.
Remember that?
So you pick up something from high school
and when you pick it up, immediately all
of the memories from that time flood you.
Boom.
Coming.
Example, the prophet one day when they were
ransoming the husband of his daughter.
He was caught in the battle of Badr.
They were ransoming him.
And his daughter sent Zaynab sent the necklace
of Khadijah.
And the moment the prophet got it, his
heart broke.
Oh, it's my Khadijah's.
He's remembering everything.
He's remembering Zamiluni.
He's remembering the first baby.
He's remembering her help.
That necklace was not just a necklace.
It was filled with memories.
It was filled with realities.
I heard one of my teachers say, it's
brilliant.
Why do we call it dhikr of Allah?
Remembrance of Allah?
Because it's reminding you of something that's deep
inside you, you already know.
Wallahi, when I first picked up the Quran,
I was like, yo, this is mad familiar,
yo.
I kind of like know this already.
David, you feel me?
I know what's going on here.
And it's tapping into something that is like,
and we would say, embedded in our DNA.
And so when you read it, you're like,
oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah, I remember now.
God is one.
Dunya is fake.
Let me get to Jannah.
Like, now I remember the reality.
Yes.
I hate to use modern analogies, right?
But like, yeah.
This Quran, you know, I'm going to keep
it holy.
I'm going to keep it holy.
But it's like, you've got to unplug and
remember what's real.
And so in Ayah, I was explaining Ayah.
Ayah is a sign, not just a sign,
it's a sign that reminds you of millions
of other memories connected to that.
So, okay, how are these signs?
The Quran tells us that from the moment
Adam was born, created, every single human being
that would be born to the day of
judgment was asked, who is your Lord?
Am I not your Lord?
And every soul before it was given a
body, every soul testified, yes, you are our
Lord.
Our DNA, whatever is that quintessential element that
makes us human, beyond DNA, our soul, that
thing recognized God.
That thing recognized God.
And then we came into the dunya.
And guess what?
Forgot everything.
I mean, we can't even remember what happens
before speech, because memory is much connected with
speech.
So, we can't remember a lot of this
dunya, let alone what was before the dunya.
So, it's wiped.
And now you pick up, and it's like,
sabaha lillahi ma fis samawati wal adh.
You're like, sounds familiar.
And the more you keep reading, the more
you keep tapped in, you're in a whole
different world.
You're operating in a whole different realm.
Because you're tapped in.
So, that's what an ayah is.
Now, hold on, it's not done.
ayat im bayyinat He is the one, Allah,
who sends down on his servant, as well
as all the other abd servants, Moses, Abraham,
Jacob, Jonah, list is long of servants that
got revelation.
All with that program to wake us up
and remind us, stop sleeping in the dunya.
Stop sleeping.
Here, look at this.
You remember where you're from?
Yeah, I kind of do now.
Okay, pick it up tomorrow so you remember
again.
Pick it up tomorrow so you remember again.
Memorize it so you can just walk with
it and remember on your own.
You feel me?
This is so beautiful, sabaha lillahi.
Sorry, geeking out here.
huwa allathee yunazilu ala abdihi ayatin bayyinat He
is the one that sends down on his
servant, Muhammad, ayatin signs.
Not just any signs, signs with memories connected
to who you are, what you always believe.
Allah.
Bayyinat, clear.
Why did he give it though?
liyukhrijakum minad zulumati ilan nur To pull you
out of darkness into light.
To pull you out of darkness.
that darkness of not knowing where you came
from or where you're going that's darkness my
father's like 80 83 now sharp man but
has no idea where he's going no idea
no idea no idea where he came from
no idea where he's going and how difficult
that is for people to deal with Lee
you're free to come in a blue not
this was sent down to pull you out
of darkness darkness of ignorance of who you
are ignorance of where you're going ignorance of
purpose purpose when I first converted the most
beautiful thing is like I was like I
know why I'm here now well my heart
is general ends in Lillia budu I know
why I'm here now okay let me now
go on with life let me get married
I have kids let me do that I'll
do the rat race but now at least
I know why I'm here I know what
my purpose is Lee you're free to come
in a blue mat these verses are sent
to pull you out pull you out of
darkness pull you out of darkness one of
my favorite verses one of my favorite verses
our men can a mate and the ah
yeah you know what you are not a
whole new raw yam she be heathen nas
Allah says is the one who was dead
and we gave them life Iman life what
you are not a whole new raw and
then we gave them light to walk with
come on method of who fit blue mat
is that person like the one just in
darkness laysa be hardy Jim in her which
they can never escape Lee you create a
comb this these verses were sent to bring
us from sleeping to wakefulness from sin to
Toba yo sins are a type of darkness
why is this here to tell you just
do Toba tonight that's your new that's your
life and the only way I I'm sorry
it's even payment of Josie it been playing
my Josie he gives an example he says
like I'm just using this cup because it's
just the only thing I have that has
volume in front of me he goes the
only person that knows the reality of something
is someone that was inside something for some
time and outside of something for the time
because the person the thing that one that's
inside something only sees it from the inside
and the one outside only sees it from
the outside so payment Josie he goes one
of the reasons why sometimes converts are so
strong is because they've been outside and inside
and so they got the whole picture they
got that they seen what it was like
outside of Islam you don't want to live
that life yo you don't want to live
you don't want to go to sleep at
night not knowing your purpose you don't want
to go to sleep for years of your
life disconnected with Allah you don't want that
you don't want that so so so the
idea is the you'll reach a comb Allah
sent these verses and the way I said
it earlier is you read it a bit
and you kind of wake up a little
bit but then you back in the doing
then you read it again and you wake
up a bit but after years of doing
that before you know it you just become
a woke auntie or uncle you know that
woke auntie uncle who's always on Jenna level
mode in the kitchen cooking like Allah you
say anything they're like inshallah be every hide
every hide inshallah that's just heart always connected
that's the goals y'all heart always connected
with Allah why because so many times they've
been picking it up that now that's just
living in light they're just living in light
and now you live off their light you
go around them and you feel like oh
wow I got clarity what you put in
that tea it ain't the tea its presence
of someone living on that level of being
awake but how do you get that well
you keep looking at those verses that reality
check like that's why that's why I've been
Jebel he would grab his friend and said
the eyes not means ah yo let's sit
down and believe for a little bit I
need a little light you know let's just
talk about a lot come on just for
a minute then you go back to work
allahu akbar subhanallah what times prayer okay okay
I'm gonna get through more than two verses
you know Leo Khadija come in a Buddha
Matti he sent down these verses to take
you out of darkness darkness is one three
three one darkness that was crazy I couldn't
understand what was life about what do I
worship to the oneness of Allah Leo Khadija
come in a Buddha Matti Ilan noor and
you know what's crazy about the verse the
word Buddha math is plural the word noor
is one because there's many darknesses but one
light that's it one light one straight path
that's it oneness of God belief in the
prophets but darknesses there's a lot of isms
out there y'all there's a lot of
isms out there you could get lost in
but there's one light there's one light and
that's what you follow after that's what you
ask Allah and that's why subhanallah the Prophet
salallahu alayhi wasalam said I promise pure light
on the day of judgment to those who
walk in darkness to the masjids that's why
we be on that fudger in that isha
tip y'all who walk into the mud
walk to the masjids in darkness I promise
them pure light pure light frequent the masjids
man darkness of the night you're walking just
remember this narration I promise pure light to
the ones who walk in the dark moments
to the mushroom Leo Khadija come in a
Buddha Matti Ilan noori well in the law
have become not awful Rahim and Allah is
so kind to us he's so kind look
at everything he's given you he's given you
a prophet to follow you don't got to
be on YouTube how do I live my
day he's so kind man he gave us
a prophet to follow whose Sunnah doesn't change
yo his Sunnah don't change with the tides
Sunnah stays the same Allah man if you
follow these people you'll be changing every three
months bro are you drinking milk now or
not our eggs healthy or not like which
one is it now where are we at
in science now Sunnah stays the same stays
the same it's a moderate path stays the
same and it's the path of pleasing God
in the law hubby comb and indeed Allah
is to you to you he's speaking to
me a lot speaking to me I'm reading
this verse and Allah says in the law
hubby comb indeed Allah is to you I'm
like me he's like yes you let a
fool Rahim kind merciful he sent you a
prophet he pulled you out of darkness brought
you to light helping you now you could
be light for other people it's beautiful what
my leg home what's wrong with you again
like a lot like yeah I mean what's
wrong with you after hearing that I was
like what's wrong wake up what my leg
home I don't even know any other way
to translate what my leg whom y'all
I'm not putting my own into it well
my leg whom it's like what's wrong with
you well my leg whom a lot whom
people visa be Lila why don't you spend
in the path of God why are you
holding on to everything I got to keep
this I got to keep this I got
to keep this no spend in the path
of God Allah will replace that give you
better well in la he made off the
Samadhi well this is the why aren't you
spending in the path of Allah when to
Allah returns everything you can't keep it I
don't care how long you hold on to
it you can't keep it you can't keep
it Rasul Allah SAW he taught us in
a beautiful hadith he was asked what's the
best Sadaqah I'm gonna find this hadith cuz
it's such a beautiful narration Rasul Allah SAW
was asked what's the best Sadaqah Rasul Allah
SAW he said here it is and to
see he you give charity well I'm just
a he when you're healthy Shahid you want
more when you get to a certain age
you don't even want money no more that's
why your grandparents be giving all that money
away he's like what am I gonna do
with it let me give it to you
you young you gonna do something with it
the Rasul says I'm said the best charity
is when you're Sahi healthy because when you
get sick you blame I might be dying
yo here you how much you need yeah
would you say how much I'm just a
he sure he you want it you want
it top Moolish you're expecting the portfolio to
grow you're expecting the Russell's I some said
right at that point where you're like yo
yeah I mean like right now we're about
to like level up top Moolish what I
told him the Russell's I some said don't
wait don't wait and I told him don't
wait cuz you'll end up waiting until the
the soul has reached the throat and at
that point you're start saying this money goes
to that person this money goes to that
person and it's too late now it's too
late it's too late Russell's I sell them
it's beautiful now you know it's crazy giving
in the path of Allah is a sign
of true to walking in God because the
higher your level of to walk on the
less you feel like I got to hold
on to it now we shouldn't do this
but we all know the Hadith of Abu
Bakr and Omar right where Abu Bakr gave
everything his level was so high that he
literally left nothing at home we're not at
that level don't do it it's not even
allowed for you to do not even allowed
for you to do one day I'm gonna
just prove it one day a man came
and he and he brought like a piece
of gold for Sadaqa the Prophet picked it
up and he threw it back at him
and he took it he gave it back
he put it the Prophet picked up and
he push it back at him and then
he gave he gave it again and the
Prophet pushed it like a little harder and
then he said why are people giving Sadaqa
and tomorrow they're gonna be begging for money
meaning that that you weren't at that level
don't front that wasn't your level to give
that wasn't your level to give you weren't
supposed to be given that so what I'm
trying to say is Iman and giving are
directly connected but now you get why when
we read the last day of the Prophet's
life the last day he was about to
die within the next two hours he looked
at Aisha he said Aisha what happened to
that money we had she says it's right
here he goes oh my god get rid
of it how could I go back to
Allah still holding on to money see the
where his level was he said how can
I go back to Allah still holding money
uh-uh no no no I trust in
Allah not money give that money away or
right away we're not at that level I
get it but it's a sign when you
can't give in the path of God it's
a sign that the Iman is dropping and
when you could just give well in life
you what I'll wrap this up right here
la yes that we men come men and
fuck a min Kabbalah so this verse is
being revealed we're about to wrap up we're
done this verse is being revealed y'all
after Fatiha Mecca right but hey Mecca is
when things got easy because forget writing on
the wall we saw the victory and so
the verse is saying to give charity in
the early days is way higher than giving
charity in the latter days because in the
latter days people already see oh we won
already we won already I'm gonna give it
I'm gonna give a sports example when you
believe it's a whack example but whatever you
know how people are bandwagon with teams and
they get to the playoffs all of a
sudden they like the team you're not the
same as the dude that in week one
was on it on the team because week
one we don't know what's gonna happen playoffs
you like yeah I love the I love
the Cowboys like bro bro right this verse
is saying the same thing about charity there
are people that were sacrificing day one this
verse was revealed by the way about Abu
Bakr as-Siddiq because day one Abu Bakr
is like I'm on I'm on I'm with
you y'all Rasul Allah they're like you're
with him he's alone now there's two of
us yes now there's two of us yes
I'm with him and there's a narration of
Abu Bakr of the Allah hotel and subhan
Allah Ibn Umar Ibn Umar R.A. he
says I was with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam I was with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam and Abu Bakr was with him and
he had a jubba on but it had
holes in it and I could see his
chest through the hole Gabriel comes to the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and says Why
do I see Abu Bakr wearing a shirt
with holes in it?
the Prophet says the Prophet says he gave
all his money away in our path in
the path of the deen Gabriel says Allah
says to you oh give Abu Bakr Salaam
hold on it's not done and ask him
are you happy with your poverty or angry
but Allah the Prophet looks at Abu Bakr
and he says Allah says Salaam Alaikum to
you but he asked you are you happy
with your poverty are you angry Abu Bakr
says would I be angry with my lord
I am pleased with my lord he's in
poverty holes in his shirt I am pleased
with my lord I am pleased with my
lord I am pleased with my lord Gabriel
then looks at the Prophet and says Allah
is pleased with you just as you are
pleased with me Abu Bakr broke down in
tears Abu Bakr broke down in tears the
verse says not equal are those who spend
in the path of Allah before Fatimah when
it's hard to give listen every cause every
cause has a a time to give where
you get more reward than later don't jump
on the bandwagon of helping Gaza after everything
gets smooth ah now now it makes sense
yeah every cause has a time every cause
has a time where you get more reward
don't worry if you jump on the bandwagon
later you'll still get good deeds but not
like the people who are here now not
like the people are giving everything right now
you feel me what does Allah say I'm
gonna wrap it up right now because it's
time to pray not equal are y'all
not equal are y'all from amongst y
'all man who spends before Fatimah those people
have a higher level one of the trippiest
things to me that I've always loved about
this deen I don't know why is how
the Quran speaks about levels in Jannah levels
in Jannah like in this dunya right now
in this room we're all equal we're all
equal all of us maybe you get the
first stuff you get more reward all right
cool but we're all equal the first thing
that happens in Jannah levels word you was
rolling like that see we give levels in
the dunya but for superficial stuff a leased
car I mean like oh wow you must
be really high no Allah says Akhira has
levels and it has nothing to do with
your dunya levels nothing to do with dunya
levels it's all about taqwa it ain't about
sitting here either this ain't it this this
chair this ain't it levels ain't based on
this chair habibi is it based on what's
in your heart right now that's it that's
it so it's in your heart what's where's
your heart at right now so allah says
those people who grind it in the hard
days higher level than those who who spend
after and then allah says look at his
his gentleness and allah promises good to both
groups if we win the super bowl we're
gonna celebrate with you bro you know what
i mean the the bandwagon dude we're gonna
celebrate with you but you ain't at the
same level and allah is aware
aware aware of everything that you mikayo me
that you are doing may allah give us
connection to the book of allah after tonight
just go back and look at these verses
so that you connect with them on a
deeper level before you go to sleep the
prophet would read these surahs before he went
to sleep every night by the way so
these five surahs from here to next five
surahs just read them read the english don't
be reading if you don't understand arabic don't
read the arabic read english connect to the
meaning of what allah is saying to you
just a quick announcement um bittersweet happy but
sad uh by the grace of god i'll
be going for umrah tomorrow evening i know
alhamdulillah i get to take my little young
ones with me uh it's surreal y'all
surreal surreal because like i'm a convert and
i'm having one of those moments it's islam
you know i mean so anyways uh so
i'm taking my young ones with me and
uh and my wife of course of course
mashallah uh but next wednesday we won't have
halakha only one week off that's it and
the week after that we'll have halakha so
next wednesday no halakha just one week only
and then after that we'll be back inshallah
i'll make special dua for this gathering and
anyone in this gathering may allah accept us
all and accept us inshallah all right we're
going to pray right now salamu alaykum we're
going to call adhan immediately adhan immediately and
prayer right away
