Maryam Amir – Power and wealth

Watching people clap for Netanyahu yesterday made me think of a set

of Quranic verses the story of Qarun. He is a rich, powerful

person, and there are people who the Quran describes as wanting to

be like him, if only they were like him. Now we know that there

were fillers in the seats of Congress. So they were just random

people paid to be there, just paid to clap for him. And then we know

that AIPAC and Israeli lobby groups pay people in Congress

extreme amounts of money,

or honestly, not that much, for selling out their souls. So so

they are paid to be there, but their proximity to Netanyahu goes

back to this idea that they want to be people of power, that they

want to be in positions of power like Arun. And the Quran mentions

that there's another group of people who are reminding those

people, calling those people out, trying to get them to see past

this facade. But then what happens? The Earth swallows Arun,

and no one was able to help him against Allah, nor could he even

help himself. To tell you why that particular part is such a comfort

for me, because sometimes when I look at people like Satan, Yahoo,

genocide, Joe, people who are I mean, they are butchering children

and their family, but then I think about the genocide is of the past,

and when I think of them and my intense hatred for them. I realize

they're not here anymore. They're with Allah. No one could help

them. Not meet Allah. They were not able to help themselves. Not

me, Allah. They are with Allah. So look at what is mentioned in the

set till Kedar will that eternal home in the hereafter is reserved

for who those who do not seek tyranny nor corruption on the

earth. Allah links in this verse with that the outcome is for the

God conscious. And who did he link God consciousness to those who are

not seeking tyranny or corruption on the earth? Allah could have

chose any descriptors, but in talking about power and status and

the wealth of Arun and everyone else being deluded by it, he

connected it to people who are God conscious, being able to see

through it, and instead knowing that, despite the delusion of

where we are now, there is an ultimate hereafter you.
