Mansoor Danish – A Reminder about Salah

			salam Wa alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Alhamdulillah wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah My name
is Mike Condor and I am the faculty manager of International Open University. Today I'm going to
share with you a short reminder about the purpose of life. And would it some good news for all of us
in these difficult times. As you all know, the world as a whole is facing a global pandemic, in many
parts of the world is locked down in many parts of the world is quarantine in many parts of the
world, people are passing away. It is a lot of fear, a lot of anxiety, a lot of
		

			worry about the future, all over the globe. And I just wanted to share with you all today a short
message from the Quran and the Hadith to remind us about why we exist and why we are facing what we
are facing. Because for many of us, this may be the scariest and the most difficult thing to ever
happen in our lives. Now hamdulillah Allah has blessed us to live in a time where so much good has
been happening to us for so long. And the tests we faced in life have been so light in comparison,
that when something like this happens, we all just shocked and we can't understand what's going on.
So I want to begin by reminding you and I that ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada created us to worship him and
		

			he created this world to test us
		

			and he promised to test us, Allah subhanho wa Taala told us in Surah Baqarah you Halina Amen
		

			Oh you will believe it's the I know the slavery was filled up, seek Allah's assistance to suffer and
follow in Allah homophobia read Elijah, those who have suffered two verses later. He says well in w

			Now this word, one w one calm. It has a double emphasis in it right? It's difficult to explain in
English, but in Arabic is a double emphasis. It means we will definitely, definitely test you a
shame, you know, hope you will do it with some kind of fear, some kind of hunger or an oximeter and
while you will end up with some rot, you will test you will loss of life, loss of wealth, loss of
efforts or fruit for Basha, so between give glad tidings to those who have suffered.
		

			So ALLAH SubhanA, Allah is saying, he will definitely test us is going to be fear at some point in
our lives. It's going to be hunger at some point in our lives, there's going to be loss of life,
loss of wealth, all of these things will happen to us in this dunya. We deal with it through cyber
and solar.
		

			Whenever we face difficulties, we have sub which means we remain consistent in our good deeds. We
avoid the temptation to take haram shortcuts in life. We remain patient and happy with the decree of
Allah subhanho wa Taala and we increase our Salah, we worship Allah more, we increase the quality of
our Salah and we use Salah as a means of converting our hearts and staying closer to Allah subhanho
wa Taala
		

			and so as Muslims no matter what goes on in this world,
		

			our focus should remain on worshiping ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada and pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala
whether we are in the masjid, or when locked down at all, whether we are out there working in the
workplace or be stuck at home waiting for things to go back to normal, whatever the situation, our
number one priority must be the worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa
Taala and so this is a message I want to leave you all with today finally have the closure for the
Hadith in which the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that amazing is the affair of
the believer, nothing happens to him except that it is good for him. So when something good happens
		

			to him, he is grateful to Allah and this makes it good for him. There is something difficult happens
to him he has suffered and it is also good for him. So whatever happens to the believer is good for
him to understand. Whatever happens whether it's this pandemic or something else, if we have
suffered if we pray Salah if we worship Allah, it is all good for us at the end of the day when we
pass it and meet our Lord returned to Allah subhanho wa Taala it will all count on our scale of good
deeds. So no matter what is going on in the world, remain constant in your Salah remain constantly
the opinions of Allah subhanho wa Taala remain constant in fulfilling the purpose of life that is
		

			worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala Jesus has asked me for your time and attention was Salam Alaikum
