Kamil Ahmad – Weak Īmān (Part 2) – Its Causes

			So this is basically the way of checking your email and these are signs of weak email. After that we
move on to the causes. What are some of the causes behind our E man going down? And so many people
they complain of this week in and they say that, you know, there was a time when my Eman was very
strong. My Eman was very high.
		

			But now, it's not the same. I fall into sin very easily.
		

			It's very difficult for me to be encouraged to perform good deeds.
		

			And so you find them complaining about this weak Eman in their heart. So what are the causes behind
that? We'll look at a few of these causes, then inshallah we'll move on to the cure.
		

			There are many causes that can be mentioned, but I'm going to mention
		

			just a few, maybe three or four in sha Allah hota.
		

			The very very first cause is none other by yourself.
		

			And so a loss of Hannah who Allah says in the law hola euroma be comin hattah EULA euro nabee and
fusi him.
		

			Allah subhanho wa Taala says that he does not change the condition of a people
		

			until they first change what is within themselves. And as scholars they mentioned the scholars of
Tafseer they mentioned that this is in regard to a people who are once upon a time they were good,
they were upon good upon righteousness. And then they started to change themselves towards evil.
		

			And so Allah subhanahu wa tada tells us in this verse, that he Subhana, who attallah did not change
their condition, because as we all know, that everything is in the hands of Allah and Allah Subhana
who without it is the one who, who changes the state of people. But Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us
that he does not change the good condition of a people until they change themselves.
		

			And so don't look beyond yourself, if you want to know the cause behind
		

			weak in an in your heart
		

			also among the causes of weak Eman
		

			is that the heart has become hardened. Why? Because it has become distant
		

			from Allah subhanho wa Taala.
		

			From the Quran, from the community of the believers, from the masajid. From the circles of
remembrance from the halaqaat of Quran from from the from the halaqaat of Vicar and so on and so
forth.
		

			And so as Allah subhanho wa Taala says regarding
		

			Al Kitab Allah subhana wa tada first he addresses the believers.
		

			Allah subhanho wa Taala says, In Surah towheaded lm ye nealon Latina Aminu, antosha kulu boom de la
		

			one liners Allah, Allah.
		

			Allah subhanho wa Taala addressing the believers, he says, has a time not come
		

			for
		

			those who believe for their hearts to become softened,
		

			due to the remembrance of Allah
		

			and due to what has come in terms of the revelation, the Quran
		

			and then Allah subhanho wa Taala says well i akuna can Latina ooh tokita macabre
		

			photo Allah, Allah He will ever do focus at Kuru boom.
		

			Allah subhanahu wa tada says,
		

			also,
		

			that they should not be the believers should not be like those who were given the Scripture before
the Jews and the Christians. And so a long time passed by
		

			a long time passed by.
		

			And this is basically referring to
		

			the fact that nothing came after he sallallahu Sallam in terms of a prophet in terms of revelation
until almost 500 years later. So a long period of time passed by Allah subhanho wa Taala says, For
Allah Allah, He will Emma do for Cosette guru for a long period of time passed by and so their
hearts became harder.
		

			And so Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us the reason
		

			For why hearts become hardened,
		

			because a long time passes by, with no remembrance of a law coming
		

			with no
		

			revelation of a loss of Hannah who had to hide a witness or an being recited with no Qur'an being
reflected over.
		

			And so, this is also from among the causes of wheat, a man that your heart becomes a hardened due to
being distant from the remembrance of a law from the Quran, citation
		

			reflecting over it,
		

			becoming distant from seeking knowledge of the deen from the circles of remembrance from the circles
of Quran and Vicar and so on and so forth.
		

			Also among
		

			the causes of weak Eman
		

			is over indulgence in the dunya.
		

			Over indulgence
		

			in seeking the dunya.
		

			And so many of those who complain of this weak Eman in their hearts
		

			they say there was a time once upon a time when my Eman was stronger.
		

			When I had very strong Eman, I was able to ward off shaitan I was able to ward off
		

			the inclinations of my knifes
		

			I was always racing to do good deeds.
		

			But then something happened.
		

			And he asks what happened.
		

			And you find that this person,
		

			now he's living a luxurious life,
		

			you find
		

			that he slowly started moving towards the dounia.
		

			We're not saying
		

			that one should not seek the dunya and seek His sustenance.
		

			nor are we saying that one should aim high to get a good career and a good job as long as one's
intention is good in that regard.
		

			And so the intention should be that one uses that in the obedience of a loss of Hannah, who would to
Allah, and for the sake of a loss of Hannah, who with that, but the problem is that these people,
they did not have that intention.
		

			And so they started moving towards a dounia.
		

			And the reason behind that was
		

			the inclinations of their knifes.
		

			They slowly let their guard down.
		

			And they allowed the desires of their knifes to follow
		

			in the footsteps of the dunya.
		

			And so now they come to you and they complain of this weak email in their heart. The reason for that
is over indulgence in the dunya.
		

			And forgetting about the very purpose of their existence. And that is the obedience of a loss of
Hannah, who was
		

			finally among the causes of weak Eman
		

			is
		

			having the wrong companions.
		

			And so many brothers many sisters, once upon a time there he man was strong.
		

			And that was because
		

			of those around them.
		

			They had brothers and sisters who were righteous who would remind them of good
		

			but then they took the wrong companions and the wrong friends.
		

			And so you find that their Eman went down.
		

			And this is something that Allah Subhana who Allah has mentioned in the Quran, regarding people who
will come on the day of judgment
		

			and
		

			they will curse themselves
		

			and they would wish that they could return to the dunya and take the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam as their companion and the believers as their friend.
		

			And so a loss of Hannah who would to Allah. He says regarding them, that they will say on the Day of
Judgment,
		

			Yahweh letter later on he let it fool and and holla
		

			they will curse themselves and say
		

			Woe to me.
		

			It would have been better had I had I not taken so and so, as my colleague.
		

			Now, Holly does not mean friend.
		

			It does not mean companion.
		

			It means more than that.
		

			And so Holly basically means a very, very close and intimate friend,
		

			a very close and intimate, intimate companion.
		

			One who you are, who your heart is attached to.
		

			And so, these people will come on the Day of Judgment,
		

			cursing themselves
		

			and saying that it would have been better if they had not taken so and so, as their Holly.
		

			And then awasum Hannah who attalla
		

			he mentioned the reason for that they say on the Day of Judgment they will say yeah, way later Later
Neelam fuller and kalila laqad balani honey decree bother me.
		

			What was the result of taking this evil companion? As my close and intimate friend?
		

			Allah subhanho wa tada says, lucky to have one nanny, that is laqad avala nanny decree data his
journey that this khaleel this intimate friend, he misguided me.
		

			He led me astray
		

			from the guidance after it had come to me.
		

			And so if there is a reason and a cause for weak Eman, then there is no doubt
		

			that it's caused his having taken the wrong companions the wrong friends
