UCLA Hola, como la come when you're
warming up la hora Sula, who, for Cordova 1000. How vema am about
my dear brothers and sisters.
Last night, was a very very special night.
an A in which a guest arrived.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says
in either Cana a Willa Leela minchah hari Rama bon
Sufi that Shailene walmartone Raja telegin
on the very first night of Ramadan
which is the night that precedes the day of Ramadan
on this night
the SRA team
and the evil of the gin
there are locked up tied up

fella used to mean her dad.
And on this night, the gates of * fire are all locked and not a single gate is left open.
What would the heart agenda
Phelim used to mean her dad
and all of the gates of Jenna are opened and not a single one of them.
filum Yoga lachemann her dad and not a single one of them is shut
while you inadi Muna Dean
and a caller calls out
Yeah, the real deal.
Oh, do we have good
Now is your time.
Get ready. Now is your time. Come close? Why? reassure? relaxor and oduor of evil. Now is the time to stop your evil. Now is the time to stop.
Well Illa Hirotaka manana Radha Lika Lila Allah and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam concluded by saying
that Allah subhanho wa Taala has those
who he frees
from the Hellfire and that is in every single night of Ramadan.
And so my dear brothers and sisters,
now is the time
now is the time
to start working.
Now is the time to get active.
Now is not the time to be sleeping. Now is not the time to become lazy, as unfortunately many Muslims we find them
on the first day of Ramadan and the first few days
With the excuse of fasting, they say we're too weak. They say we can't do it.
And so they sleep the entire day.
And they become lazy on this first day of Ramadan. And so those who are truly deprived
of the, of the grace the bounty and the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala
are those who when times like Ramadan come,
they come and they go
without these people
having received any portion of the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala
having received many of the forgiveness of Allah subhana wa Tada.
And so what this shows
is that such people
they can't make the excuse
that I can't do it because
the devils in the shower clean or too strong over me.
What this shows is
that these people,
it is themselves who are to blame.
And so they can't put the blame on anyone else, not even on the shame of being why, because the shame of being are locked up.
So what excuse do you have now?
And that's why as Allah Subhana who tells us that on the Day of Judgment,
the devils will come
our way of being who are with us in this dunya who will taze us to do evil. On that day, they will come
and they will disassociate themselves from us and from our evil.
Work on Akari. Nura bana nottoway
his partner,
meaning the devil that was with him in this dunya
on that day, he will say, Our Lord, it was not me, who caused him to go astray while our kin who
was in Canada have you go out in buried but rather he was for a straight himself.
And so
the keys to Jenna
and the keys to the Hellfire
are only in our hands
and that's why throughout the Quran, Allah subhana wa tada tells us that those who enter Jenna It is because of what they did.
We met can we I'm alone, and those who enter the Hellfire be mad at him. It was because of what they themselves sent forth.
Whatever we see
in the era, when we meet Allah subhanahu wa tada
It is because of what we ourselves did or did not do.
And so now is the time
to get up.
Now is the time
to work hard
to put our laziness behind to put our excuses behind
and to race in these days, which are days of competition. What sir you irana Virata Mira become and compete race with one another to the forgiveness of Allah subhanahu wa Tada.
These days My dear brothers and sisters
are days in which the shape of lean are chained, they're locked up.
And so if they are chained, if they are locked up,
then what we have to do
is that we have to unfasten.
We have to
release ourselves from the shackles of our shadow act
and from our evil knifes because if we persist in evil in this month, then it's not because of the shayateen because they're they're Shut up.
They're chained up and locked up and shackled.
But it is because of our evil inclining knifes.
enough's amount of the soup. The knifes there is inclined to do evil that doesn't want to do good.
It is this knifes that we need to release from the shackles of its Jehovah its desires and we need to bring it under control.
We need to bring this knifes under our control and not allow it to control us.
My dear brothers and sisters
now that the shayateen are locked up,
what we need to do
is we need to permanently
unfasten
those chains and those shackles from the grip of shaitan
ponder over this Hadeeth
in which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
describes to us
a scene
of someone
who basically has lost all hope.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says
lilla he assured do Pharaoh Han
be told that he up the hill moanin
Allah subhanho wa Taala
becomes more joyful
and happy
at the repentance
of his believing slave,
more happy and more joyful. Then
this individual and then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam describes him
mineral juhlin v erbin that we attend Melaka tin
na hora de la to
LA Tom who was Shara boo
banana
fest de kado wakad their habit, Fortaleza,
de roca hula outwash sama car, or Giroux, Isla makhani. La come to fee for
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says
that Allah is more joyful, more happy when one of us turns to him in repentance, then a man
a man
who is out in the desert.
And he's traveling.
And he has gone days and nights out in the desert.
And he comes to a place where he decides to rest
with his camel that has everything on it.
His food, his drink, all of His provision is there on his camera.
And so he goes to sleep. And when he wakes up, he finds that his camel
has gone.
It has left him
with all of His provision.
All of his means for survival. There's no water around, there's no food around.
He knows that that's it, it's over.
I have no means of survival. And so he says,
After losing all hope. He says let me go back to that place where I was resting.
And let me just wait there
until
I have died.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says
For those who add Lia moot, first a cada winder hora de la to La quwata Hama who was
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, so he goes back to that place
why lies down, puts his hand beneath his head.
And then all of a sudden, from nowhere
his camel comes back
and he sees it in front of him.
on it, his food his drink.
And in another narration of the Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, and so this man, out of extreme joy.
He says,
Yeah, Rob,
and to have the one hour book, that you are my servant, and I am your Lord. He says this, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, that he says this only out of extreme joy. It's a slip of the tongue.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, For law who else should do 401 b Toba till ABD l min min has b rohilla. t he was added.
Allah is more joyful, more happy
when one of us pursue him in repentance.
Then this man
who is joyful and happy after seeing his camel after having lost it.
What is the explanation of this hadith and the explanation of alarge joy?
What's the relation between the two?
If Nakayama Rahim Allah He sums up he sums it up very beautifully.
He says
that imagine
in a war
there's a warrior who's fighting
against the enemy.
But it so happens
that they are defeated in this war.
And so he's taken
as a prisoner of war.
And so he's taken,
shackled, chained up
and taken to a far off land of foreign land and thrown into prison.
He loses all hope of ever returning
to his family, to his land.
But one day,
he finds an opportunity to escape.
He unfasten his shackles and he manages to escape
from the grip of his enemy
and he runs and he runs
and he travels back to his land.
And he knocks on his door
after even his family had lost all hope of ever seeing him ever again.
And so they open up the door and they see him
and so imagine the joy that comes to them and to him at that time.
So he says that we are in the same state in this dunya
in this dunya we have come
after having been sent here
by Allah subhanahu wa tada
shackled by our enemies shaytaan
constantly
under the command and control of shaitan
we can't escape
but when we do
it is then
that we turn to Allah subhanahu wa tada
and so we unfastened those shackles, and we turn to Allah subhanho wa Taala running to him, fleeing to him. So Hannah who atella
so why wouldn't Allah Subhana who would be joyful at that?
Why would he allow some
Who attallah be short, joyful and happy
when one of us unfasten
the shackles of the enemy of Allah
and goes fleeing to Allah subhanahu wa tada
My dear brothers and sisters,
if you will Josie Rahim Allah He says in a very, very beautiful statement.
He says that 12 months of the year
are like the 12 sons of yakou Valley history. We all know that yakou Valley Salaam had 12 sons.
He goes on to say, and just like Yusuf Ali his Salaam, was the most beloved son to yaku Yaqoob likewise,
among the 12 months of the year, the most beloved to Allah Subhana who were to Hannah is the month of Ramadan.
And then he goes on to say
and just like Allah subhanho wa Taala forgave
the 11 sons, the 11 brothers of use of Allah His Salam because of the death of one of them, have you have use of Allah has said um, he says likewise,
Allah subhanahu wa tada will forgive you for the 11 months of the year that went by, in which you sinned and persisted in your sin. Why? Because of your law in the month of Ramadan.
And so my dear brothers and sisters, the month of Ramadan
is the month of turning to Allah subhanho wa Taala in sincere repentance, this is an opportunity that doesn't come every day. So take it now. Take it now because it's only a matter of days a year mm hmm do that. Today you Ramadan has entered and soon Ramadan will be departing without us. even realizing it. barakallahu li walakum filco Angela whim whenever anyone he can be Murphy he mean at what decreed Hakeem aku loco, he had our esto feudo la Halle welcome. Allah subhanho wa Taala commands us
addressing the believers,
oh you who believe
prescribed for you has become fasting
just as it was prescribed for those before you.
For what purpose?
To achieve what objective lacunae acun so that perhaps
you may achieve the taqwa of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
My dear brothers and sisters
Ramadan
and the acts of the rebels in the month of Ramadan
are different
to the act of rebellion
outside the month of Ramadan
and so worshipping Ramadan is special and what makes it special including fasting is
that these are acts of a Buddha
that are directly related to our hearts
they are acts of a birder
which we can call
secluded acts of a bad
actor very bad
there are done in seclusion.
And so even if
you are not in seclusion at home, you are with everyone
outside going to work coming to the masjid
and we're worshiping a lot as a community still even then
our a bad
is a private matter
between ourselves and Allah subhanahu wa Tada.
And this becomes even more emphasized today
under the circumstances that we are in,
where
we no longer have the opportunity
to come together
in this month of Ramadan
and worship Allah subhanho wa Taala as a community
in the houses of Allah subhanho wa Taala in the massage it
what is it
that makes fasting,
so different
than all the other activity better.
Some which are even greater than fasting, like, of Salah, praying,
which precedes fasting in virtue
and also in the Pillars of Islam.
But yet what makes fasting
so different?
Firstly,
all the other acts of Riba and good deeds.
For the most part, they are things that we are required to do.
We're required to see, our Salah consists of actions, movements, and statements.
On the other hand, fasting is different. We're not being asked to do something or to say something rather, we're being asked to refrain from certain things. And so what this teaches us is that the better of Allah, and the obedience of Allah subhanho wa Taala is not only in doing things, in seeing things, but also
by refraining from certain things. And so what fasting in the month of Ramadan, what it teaches us is how to refrain,
how to refrain from what Allah Subhana what Allah has forbidden.
And so as you're fasting today,
you're staying away from what Allah has made Hillel
in general, food, drink, relations that are permissible. These are things that Allah has made permissible for us. But we're being asked to refrain from these permissible things in these days. And so this will train us to stay away from and to refrain from that which Allah has made her on. So this is how we see
where Allah says, Allah, Allah kokoon, so that perhaps you will achieve taqwa. And so if you're wondering, what is the relationship between taqwa and fasting, then this is the relationship.
Secondly,
what makes fasting different
is
that fasting and the reward of fasting
is something
that is based upon what is in your heart.
Your Salah
will be accepted as long as you have the right intention.
But what's more important is the outward act. There are certain things that will invalidate your Salah, because you did not do or you did not say. On the other hand,
when it comes to fasting
outwardly,
everyone could be staying away from food and drink.
Outwardly people could seem as if they are fasting,
but Allah subhanahu wa tada will not judge us and will not reward us for our fast of Ramadan because of how we are outwardly staying away from food and drink, but rather, Allah will reward us for fasting in the month of Ramadan, for what is in our hearts.
For what is in our hearts. Firstly, the intention, why are we fasting? And secondly,
because the fasting person
what he leaves off
of permissible things, is purely
and sincerely for the sake of Allah alone. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says kulu Amelie Benny Adam, you don't have an Hashanah.
Allah has an A to
assure
and has an A to be actually I'm sorry.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says,
that every deed of the son of Adam
is multiply
is multiplied
up to 700 times is multiplied between 10 and 700 times and then he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
illustrious
Illa song for in hooghly what n z
except for fasting.
Fasting was done sincerely for my sake.
And so I will reward him for it. And then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam says,
Allah says
yada
yada Shehata what ohana, who mean, actually?
How is it that fasting is different than the other activity burger? Don't we do this for the sake of Allah.
Allah says, In this hadith could see
that the fasting person refrained from food and drink and his desires,
for whose sake only for my sake, and that is why I will reward him a special reward for that.
And so in this dunya
everyone seems to be fasting.
But not everyone's heart
is the same.
Some may be just fasting because those around them are fasting. Some may be fasting, because they don't want others to see, why aren't you fasting?
And that's why fasting in the month of Ramadan
is so much different
than the other acts of a Buddha.
My dear brothers and sisters
This is why even if you have the right intention too fast,
you may end up missing out on the reward.
And what you get out of your fast is nothing but hunger
and tiredness. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Rob basa Eman Lazar Allahu minstry me
Maru Baka Eman les Salah hoomin ki ami LSR.
The perhaps a fasting person all he gets out of his fast is hunger.
And the one praying at night. Perhaps all he gets out of it is
staying up all night.
Getting tired and fatigued.
And so it all comes back down to our intention.
It all comes down to our intentions. We have to rectify our intentions From today onwards for this month of Ramadan. Why are we fasting? Not only because Allah commanded us to do so, but also and more importantly, because we are, we are trying to do this for the sake of Allah
to attain the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa Taala
mon sama Ramadan, he man and what he said and houfy Rolla hoonah taka dynamin demba who is the one who has all of his sins forgiven in the month of Ramadan? The one who fasts sincerely
out of a man and looking forward to the reward with a loss of Hannah, who, what to Hannah?
And so my dear brothers and sisters, let us worship Allah subhanahu wa tada
not just outwardly but more importantly, from deep down from deep down inside, let this month of Ramadan as we enter the first day, let it be an opportunity for us to reestablish that relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala Let it be a chance and an opportunity to flee back to Allah subhanho wa Taala unshackling ourselves from what is holding us back and that is our evil desires. Let us make this month of Ramadan an opportunity
as we sit in seclusion at home,
let it to be an opportunity to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala sincerely without showing off to others sincerely so that we will be rewarded by a loss of Hannah who would data instead of
getting nothing out of our fasting and our our praying to Malaysia other than hunger and fatigue. We ask Allah Subhana who Adana
to grant us
to grant us good hopes
in him subhanho wa Taala
This is a time for us to think of Allah positively.
And so many of us are thinking why would a lot deprive us of coming to the masjid this Ramadan
and so my dear brothers and sisters
I am optimistic and every believer needs to be optimistic.
In Allah subhanho wa Taala
and we must believe
that Allah subhanahu wa tada
will shower down his mercy upon us in this month of Ramadan and will bring this crisis to an end soon.
It is something that the believer believes in.
It is something that we are certain of
the relief of a loss of Hannah who went to Hana his tune, it's not far away.
It's sooner than we think. And so we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala
to shower His mercy upon us.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa tada
to open up
the gates of his houses
on Earth, just like he has opened up the gates of His mercy last night and the gates of
