on the day that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
Entered Mecca
human fat
on the day in which
the conquest of Makkah occurred.
He entered Mecca and he approached the Kaaba
and after destroying all of the idols in the kava
as the 1000s of Muslims were surrounding him
he looked
among his companions
and he was looking for one individual.
And so he asked, Where is below
this is among
the notables and the leaders of Koresh.
And among even the best of the companions, Abu Bakr, and humor and the others.
He's looking for one individual Billa robiola who
he asked where is beloved
and to Al Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
he saw Bilal and he said oh Bilal, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is looking for you.
So Vidal approached in front of all of the other companions,
and went to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Oh, Bilal, come with me.
Come with me.
As I go inside of the Kaaba,
to be the first to pray in it.
I want you to be with me to pray with me inside of the Kaaba before anyone else.
Why
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
The I saw you
on the day
when you were tortured,
and no one else was tortured for Islam besides you.
And so it was because
of his sacrifice to Islam
that elevated him
to be and to receive this honor
that none of the other companions had the privilege of, but it didn't end there.
After they came out
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
He told Bilal to get up and climb the cabin,
and to give the other hand
from the top of the cabin.
And so he climbed on top of the shoulders of Abu Bakr and Omar, the best of the companions
to call
from on top of the cabin,
my dear brothers and sisters
this privilege and this honor
that Bilal rhodiola, who
received being an ex slave
and an African
had nothing to do
with the color of his skin,
or his ethnic background, or where he came from, or how he looked.
But rather,
it was because of his Eman and his Taqwa that translated into sacrifice, and into action.
And so what raises others what raises certain people over others?
is nothing but that.
And that's because when Allah subhanho wa Taala created us,
He created us to be
of different colors of different ethnic backgrounds.
But the one thing that he means
to be the distinguishing factor among us
is his consciousness is his Taqwa is our piety, our righteousness.
And so Allah subhanahu wa taala
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in Allaha la Yan Lu E la Suri come, what are either Sammy come?
Wala Kim Young guru, Isla Matthew Kulu
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
that Allah subhanahu Attallah does not look at your forms and your bodies. He doesn't look at your color. He doesn't look at your shape. He doesn't look at your beauty. But what he looks at
is that your hearts what is in your hearts and he looks at your deals. These are the two things that Allah subhanho wa Taala looks at
and so
when Allah subhanho wa Taala created us
Yes, He created us
to be from different races from different ethnic backgrounds.
But that is not what he permitted us
to be superior because of
yeah you Hannah so inner Hola.
Hola addresses us as human beings. Notice how here Allah does not even call upon us by the attribute of Eman as Allah does elsewhere in the Quran. Yeah, you
know, here Allah is referring to all of us.
believers and disbelievers. Yeah, you have nurse we have created you
from a male and a female.
Watch your show Ruben Wakanda ILA
and we made you
to be
peoples and try things.
For what purpose
Lita
to get to know one another.
Not so that one
can feel that they have the upper hand over the other.
And then Allah subhanho wa Taala concludes by saying
in a Kurama Allah He
that almost no noble of you.
The most noble of you are those who have the most Taqwa
For the most consciousness of Allah, the Most piety, the most righteousness. And so my dear brothers and sisters
are Muslim can be
of a different ethnic background and you.
You can be from one part of the world, and they could be from the other.
You could speak one language, and they could speak another.
And it is not that that Bond's us together.
But rather what Bond's us together is our iman and our Islam.
And so
a Muslim
to Muslims from different ethnic backgrounds are closer to one another
than a Muslim
who may share the same blood as a disbeliever.
And so what Bond's us is our deen
and our Islam.
And this is what Islam came to teach us.
My dear brothers and sisters, it is this
that elevated
certain people over others, what is it that caused the likes of Bilal, and Souhei
and Sal man and Pharisee, to become elevated over the likes of Abuja, Hill, and Abu Lahab, who in those days, were considered the most noble of people,
the best of individuals.
My dear brothers and sisters, Islam came 1400 years ago, to L to basically abolish and get rid of racism.
To get rid of this concept of one race, feeling that it has superiority over others, it came to abolish tribalism, that was rampant among the Arabs.
And it came to abolish
ideologies like nationalism.
And so this worked for centuries, read Islamic history. And you will find how Islam raised individuals, to become leaders in society,
to become scholars,
to become educators,
in all walks and fields of life.
And yet, they came from all different ethnic backgrounds.
What elevated them
is nothing but this Diem.
And what caused others who felt that they were superior to become
inferior
in the sight of Allah subhanho wa Taala was nothing but this D.
And so this continued on for centuries. And it lasted for centuries. And this is why, if you were to look across the Muslim world, what do you find
that Muslims don't come from one particular race, or ethnic background, or speak one language, but rather, the majority of Muslims around the world come from non Arab backgrounds?
My dear brothers and sisters,
this
is the reality of Islam. It came to abolish racism in a time when today, racism
is becoming rampant,
not at the individual level, but at the state level.
And when some non Muslims look at us and say, How can you say this,
that Islam came to abolish racism?
When you look at many Muslims today,
and how they are involved in racism,
what we say is that let us look at what Islam teaches and not at the behavior of Muslims. Yes.
Many Muslims today, go to Muslim countries, where you find that racism is definitely a problem, and it needs to be addressed. But one thing that we have to address is, don't judge Islam by the behavior of Muslims but rather judge Islam
by its scripture,
By the Quran and the Sunnah, and by the teachings of Islam BarakAllahu li Walakum fille Quran will have him one after another er can be Murphy he middle it was decreed Hakeem Hakuna Matata SmartOne was talk federal law honey welcome Marisa eating Muslim equilibrium there

Allah subhanahu wa Tada says, Oh, you who believe.
Stand firm for justice.
Stand firm for justice as witnesses
as witnesses of the truth for Allah,
even if it be against yourselves,
or your relatives.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to stand up for justice.
And as we see the unfolding events,
south of the border
where of movement, a movement has started
to call for the justice of the killing
of George Floyd.
It is important for Muslims today as we witness these events,
to keep in mind
several points related to justice and standing up for justice.
The first point is
that justice
is a universal moral value that Islam came to uphold and to promote
and to command the believers to stand up for
as mentioned in this idea.
And so, Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded justice and did not specify it. In the La Jolla Moodle villa.
Allah commands Justice, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, in a hadith could see a was a parent who went to Allah says, Yeah, you daddy, in the haram to Volmer Allah enough see
what your child to whom who held Rahman pain
fell out of Allah.
Allah says, Oh My servants, I have made injustice or oppression, to be haram upon myself.
And I have made it to be forbidden among you. So do not oppress one another.
And so justice
is a universal moral value that Islam came to uphold
and to command
irrespective of who is being dealt with injustice, whether it be a Muslim or non Muslim.
And what we learn from one of the events in the Sierra in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
is how
If he was keen to uphold justice, even if
it had nothing to do with Islam.
And so we see this in the event, which occurred before the prophethood of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam. And that was a helpful follow
where an individual, he was dealt with injustice in Africa. He was not from Africa.
And those who dealt with him unjustly, they thought that they could get away with it, because they were from the notables America.
And so he called on the leaders of Quraysh.
And he said, How can you allow this to happen?
So the story goes,
that certain individuals from Christ, they got together, and they made an alliance, a pact called Hillfield followed,
where they said, We will uphold justice, no matter who injustice is done against.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he says, recalling that event, he says, that my uncles, they took me to that meeting.
They took me to that meeting, and I witnessed a pact and alliances that took place.
And I would never prefer
the best read camels
over that pact that I had witnessed, and I had taken part with
it. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, if this pact was made in Islam,
meaning after Islam was revealed.
And if I was called, to witness such an alliance, without Allah subhanahu Attallah, commanding me to do so, I would have done so. And so what this shows us is that Islam came to uphold justice, regardless of where justice is being called from.
And regardless of who injustice is being done to.
Secondly,
justice is a concept
there is of different kinds
and different levels.
And so, we have the rights of us human beings,
we have certain rights over others, no one is allowed to deal with another human being unjustly and unfairly.
No one is allowed to take the life of another, unjustly, unfairly.
But just like we have rights among one another, as fellow human beings,
there are the rights between us and our Creator, Allah subhanho wa taala.
And the right of Allah subhanho wa Taala over us, supersedes the rights that are between us human beings.
And so, look man, he says to his son, what is called a local man will leave any what is called look man who leibny He, we are born a year later to Shrek Billa. When look man said to his son, oh my son, do not associate partners with Allah in a shield color of who you are when indeed, Sheikh is a great injustice.
So the greatest injustice is to associate partners with Allah subhanho wa Taala let us not forget that.
So when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was asked,
Yasuda Allah are you on the album? Which sin is greatest? What did he reply with? Did he say to murder someone is the greatest sin.
To commit Zina is the greatest sin. To drink disobey your parents is the greatest sin to steal is the greatest sin. No.
He said and tagit Allah Allah Allah He needs then Wahoo or Hanukkah,
describing the form of injustice
with respect to Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said it is
to attribute to Allah a partner
arrival, when it is He Who created you?
So What greater injustice could there be?
Then to claim that Allah has a partner
and is deserving of worship, when he alone created you,
and gave you everything.
Thirdly,
when standing up for justice
and calling
for justice
in the current situation,
and joining the movement known as
Black Lives,
the movement, Black Lives Matter.
And the social justice warriors, it is important to remember
that such movements
they go against many Islamic principles.
And they oppose Islam on many levels.
And so we have to remember that, although we support them
in calling for justice, it needs to be restricted to that, and limited to that,
and not to join them uncritically.
And to join them wholesale. And to call for everything that they call for. This is something that we need to remember and pay attention to. For three,
Islam stance
on how to deal with injustice is very clear.
And that is, through the methods that Islam has permitted.
Law you hit Bula, hula Jarabe su ylonen zulum.
Allah says
that Allah does not like Allah does not love for someone
to openly proclaim something, and to show except for those who are dealt with unjustly, the oppressed, they can raise their voice, and even that has to be limited. And so what we see today of the looting
and
the anarchy
that is taking place.
This is something that Islam is clear on,
where the oppressed should respond within the limits
that Allah subhanho wa Taala has allowed and that His Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has allowed.
And so transgression is fought back with by educating and not transgression.
In like,
Finally,
let us not forget
that the injustice
at the institutional level that we have seen,
south of the border
is only one episode, and only one example,
in a series of episodes
that
are not restricted to the confines and the borders
of the US, but rather, the oppression and the transgression
of the American government goes beyond.
And it affects the lives and it has affected the lives of 1000s, if not millions of people around the world, whether they be Muslims, or non Muslims. But especially as we have seen over the map over the past many decades, the transgression
that has resulted in the lives of 1000s and hundreds of 1000s of Muslims, whether it be in Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Palestine, or any other part of the Muslim world.
So what we need to remember
is
that tyranny has its limits.
And oppression
has its limit.
Anyone who reads history
will realize one thing
And that is
that the eventual end
of the oppressors
and the people involved in tyranny
is that they come crumbling down
in front of the eyes of the oppressed.
This is a Sunnah of Allah subhana who were to Allah, throughout history, going beyond
our own Islamic history.
Look at how Allah subhanho wa Taala dealt with the nations of the past. A prime example is Musa alayhis, salam, and Fairholme.
But even later on, look at how the the oppressors were dealt with.
What is the reason for that? What is the secret and
the secret in that is that Allah subhanho wa Taala does not want people to think that injustice is actually justice. Because Allah subhanho wa Taala set this dunya upon justice, and he doesn't want us to become deluded into thinking
that oppression and injustice is actually right. And fear.
And so that is why Allah subhanho wa Taala he sins
the punishment of the oppressors.
And this is why
they know Joshi,
who embraced Islam,
one of the things that he was famous one of his quotes, that he was famous for,
he said
Al Mool Cuyamaca Halol kufr Wallah, your
power and authority can last
if it is upon Cooper and disbelief,
but it will never last.
If it is based upon oppression and injustice, and that's why then a Joshi was known for his justice and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would praise him for being a just ruler
and so
even Taymiyah he says,
he says
in Allah you clean Abdullah Al cafiero
Allah hola de la wala you clean
a dolla avoiding almost.
This is the Sunnah of Allah subhanho wa taala.
He says, The Allah subhanahu wa taala me allow
a disbelieving nation
to survive to flourish as long as it is just
and he will never allow
a Muslim nation to flourish
if
it is oppressive.
And this is what we see throughout history, read history and this is what you'll find.
Until our very time today.
We're oppressive nations and authoritative regimes
eventually came to an end, even if they happen to be Muslim nations.
Whereas a disbelieving nation if it is based upon justice, it will last and it will flourish. Why? Because Allah subhanho wa Taala set this dunya
upon this universal value of an idol of justice,
we ask Allah subhanahu wa taala to grant us insight into the deen We ask Allah subhanahu wa Tada to bring justice to those who have been oppressed, no matter who they be, no matter where they are, no matter who they are.
