We started this new series on the parables
of the Qur'an, and so today, inshallah,
we are going to just go over the
introduction of the Qur'an, and then next
week we are going to actually start looking
at the parables of the Qur'an.
And so Allah used different ways in the
Qur'an to get this message across to
us.
Sometimes through the form of straight Qur'an.
Other times by telling us stories of the
prophets of the past.
And the nations and civilizations of the past.
Other times through what is known as Tarhid.
Allah wants us to do some good.
He doesn't just say do it, but He
will encourage us, He will motivate us by
mentioning the rewards of it.
And Tarhid, which is, He has told us
to stay away from something.
He didn't just say stay away from it,
but mention the punishments of it.
If we were not to stay away from
it.
The Qur'an has gems and wisdoms.
In the worst case, I'm going to bring
my son to you.
As Allah Himself mentions in the Qur'an.
The praise of Allah is comparable.
Allah says to you, and this tarh is
comparable.
We present it to the people, and no
one will understand.
No one will comprehend them, except for people
who have knowledge.
Except for people who have knowledge.
That's why it's mentioned that some of the
setup, when they would not understand a particular
parable.
Allah has mentioned in the Qur'an.
They would cry.
Why?
Oh, that's too early.
There's no point in you joking and trying
to understand.
Okay.
Why don't you say this?
I want to make sure that I also
say this.
Can you take a chance?
Why don't you try?
Can you tell us how?
Please.
If we are not able to present it
to the world, we can do that.
Perhaps.
The problem is this set of precedents.
I thought we were going to go to
the end of the Qur'an.
Because when you start investing in the Qur
'an early, you start to create examples.
In this Qur'an, every kind of parable.
You want it early, so that I can
perhaps say the same thing.
The last time you guys gave me my
money early, I want it early as well.
These parables, Allah has mentioned them for us.
No.
You take a number of precedents.
If possible, you can write to reflect over
that.
To attempt to understand what is the one
trying to get across to us by making
sure that it is parable.
So all of a sudden, what is learning
about these parables?
Now, what is meant by the word parable?
The plural of which is?
We translate it into parable.
But what is the actual meaning?
It can mean one of two things.
So in this case, I have to cancel.
Which presents a short story.
Typically, within one of the brothers that wanted
to come.
He didn't get to meet you last time.
An example?
I want to accommodate him.
Is it okay if we?
We have to think.
The boy you quite want.
The boy you quite want.
No, no, no.
Make a date.
It's a short story.
With a moral lesson.
What is a moral lesson?
That Friday we meet each other.
And we use that as the example.
There was a boy who would always lie.
And then, one day, he said there's a
wolf that's attacking the boy.
He said he always lies.
So the boy, there's a wolf.
An example from the Quran of this kind
of matter.
Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, says in surah
al-Qiyasih.
Okay, we can change the date.
And present to them the lesson of the
people of the city.
So, this is basically.
Allah mentions a sort of these messengers come
to these people.
And the moral lesson is that this is
the fate.
They were punished.
This is the fate of those who don't
believe in Allah.
Also in the Quran, Allah says in surah
al-Qiyasih.
The example of the two men.
The one man was rich.
And his neighbor was poor.
The poor neighbor, he was a looker.
The rich man, he was poor.
So Allah requires you to go and send
a looker.
Right?
So this is the first meaning of mention.
The second is, basically, we are.
I'll call you.
We're not going to be covering the first
time.
Right?
We're not going to be covering the first
time.
