The history and goals of the J Year are discussed in a series of segments covering the importance of protecting the new Muslim community and the use of the Prophet sallavi alayhi wa sallam in various battles. The importance of protecting Islam is emphasized, along with the deification of the Prophet sallavi alayhi wa sallam's military training, which involved physical and financial preparation for fight against enemies. The importance of self defense and balancing conflicting extremes is also emphasized. The negative consequences of war, including suffering and loss of life, and the need for justice and freedom are also discussed.

Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

00:00:46 --> 00:00:50
			In the past couple of weeks, we were going through the various

00:00:52 --> 00:01:00
			projects that Rasul Allah, he's Sal, Allahu Allah, he was Sallam had undertaken as soon as he
arrived in El Medina.

00:01:02 --> 00:01:03
			And so we mentioned

00:01:04 --> 00:01:10
			the building of the masjid, followed by establishing bonds of brotherhood.

00:01:12 --> 00:01:34
			And then speaking about the Covenant, the pact or the treaty, that would govern the relationship
between the various groups within Medina. And finally, one last project that we have left to
discuss, and that is the establishment of the army or a military.

00:01:36 --> 00:01:39
			And so last week, we spoke about the third project,

00:01:40 --> 00:01:46
			we spoke about the covenant that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, wasallam drew up.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:50
			And so today, we move on to

00:01:51 --> 00:01:56
			the fourth and last project, and that is the establishment of a military.

00:02:00 --> 00:02:05
			And so now that the Muslims had established their own state,

00:02:07 --> 00:02:11
			they have arrived in Medina, they have their own community, their own state,

00:02:12 --> 00:02:13
			it was inevitable

00:02:14 --> 00:02:18
			that they would need to protect themselves

00:02:19 --> 00:02:27
			and protect their new newly established state, from their enemies and

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31
			their prime enemy that we encourage,

00:02:33 --> 00:02:39
			who had still posed a very huge threat on the muscles.

00:02:40 --> 00:02:42
			And so an example of this threat.

00:02:43 --> 00:02:51
			As soon as Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had made his right to a Medina Quraysh they sent a
letter

00:02:52 --> 00:03:04
			to some who had remained upon cover in El Medina, who had not embraced Islam. At their head was
Abdullah bin obey.

00:03:07 --> 00:03:11
			Who would later on go on to become the head of the mafia called the hypocrites.

00:03:12 --> 00:03:15
			So Quraysh sent him a letter

00:03:16 --> 00:03:21
			telling him and the other machinery Kuhn from 1900.

00:03:22 --> 00:03:30
			That you have given sanctuary to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and

00:03:31 --> 00:03:33
			we are giving you the option.

00:03:34 --> 00:03:36
			Either you hand him over,

00:03:38 --> 00:03:46
			you fight him, you kick him out, and you hand them over to us, or Quraysh will send an army

00:03:47 --> 00:03:57
			that will come and kill you and take your wives or leave your wives as widows and your children as
orphans.

00:03:59 --> 00:04:02
			And so you can see here how they were threatening

00:04:03 --> 00:04:05
			the people of El Medina

00:04:06 --> 00:04:09
			and in fact, Abdullah bin obey actually,

00:04:10 --> 00:04:17
			he started to prepare for this and so he got the other machinery coming together and they were ready
to

00:04:20 --> 00:04:28
			approach Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and when the prophets of salaam saw what they
were doing, he addressed them and he said,

00:04:30 --> 00:04:35
			Look, how Qureshi is dividing you and do not become fools,

00:04:37 --> 00:04:42
			allowing yourselves to be killed and your children and women to become killed.

00:04:45 --> 00:04:46
			Another example

00:04:47 --> 00:04:52
			of the threat that kurage still posed to the Muslims

00:04:55 --> 00:04:56
			is that when

00:04:58 --> 00:04:59
			sad had been won,

00:05:00 --> 00:05:00
			who was

00:05:02 --> 00:05:03
			a leader of El Medina

00:05:05 --> 00:05:07
			when he went to visit Mecca

00:05:10 --> 00:05:14
			he was friends with Omiya even Honnef.

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18
			He was friends with him since the days of Jahai Lee.

00:05:21 --> 00:05:30
			When omega used to come to Medina, he would stay with South when sad would go to Mecca, he would
stay with omega. He'd been hunted. And so

00:05:32 --> 00:05:34
			it's all happened outside

00:05:35 --> 00:05:39
			visited Mecca and this was after the Hijrah.

00:05:41 --> 00:05:45
			He went and visited Mecca, and he went to Romania and he asked him

00:05:47 --> 00:05:49
			for a suitable time when he could go and make the off.

00:05:51 --> 00:05:52
			And so

00:05:53 --> 00:06:00
			meaning at a time when there's no one around, so they waited until noon, until it was the hottest
time

00:06:02 --> 00:06:04
			and so they went and make me pull off.

00:06:05 --> 00:06:08
			And Abuja Hill, appears

00:06:09 --> 00:06:27
			Abuja Hill saw them and came and asked Mejia who the man with him was. So he said, he was sad even
more. And Sarah Gibbon wise was well known. He was, as I said, a leader. He was one of the leaders
of a house.

00:06:29 --> 00:06:32
			And so Abuja Hello told omega

00:06:33 --> 00:06:44
			that he does not approve of omega helping this man to make dwarf when his people had given sanctuary
to the Muslims.

00:06:45 --> 00:06:56
			He then threatened said it been worth saying that had it not been for Omiya he would not have
allowed him to return to Medina safely.

00:06:58 --> 00:07:00
			Sad it'd been Maha then responded.

00:07:02 --> 00:07:12
			And he warned Abuja * that if he prevents him from making Tawaf, or he harmed him in any way,
then sad

00:07:13 --> 00:07:30
			will prevent his caravan, the caravan of Abuja, hull of Quraysh from reaching its destination. This
was because Quraysh their caravans used to pass by El Medina, on their way to a sham to Syria.

00:07:34 --> 00:07:44
			So once again, this shows us the constant effort by Kurdish against Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, and the sahaba.

00:07:45 --> 00:07:47
			And so all of this shows us

00:07:49 --> 00:07:51
			the importance of

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53
			a defense system,

00:07:55 --> 00:07:56
			a military that was needed

00:07:58 --> 00:08:02
			to defend the Muslims to protect the new Muslim community.

00:08:06 --> 00:08:08
			Now, before we

00:08:10 --> 00:08:11
			get into

00:08:13 --> 00:08:18
			the establishment of the Army, before we get into the various

00:08:19 --> 00:08:29
			battle battles, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam fought, it's important here to start
and talk about the concept of jihad.

00:08:31 --> 00:08:32
			And this is important

00:08:34 --> 00:08:36
			for several reasons. First of all,

00:08:38 --> 00:08:43
			if we look at the 10 years, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam spent in El Molina

00:08:46 --> 00:08:52
			he was in Mecca 13 years, and then he was in Medina for 10 years until he passed away.

00:08:54 --> 00:09:00
			In these 10 years, rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had participated himself

00:09:01 --> 00:09:03
			in 19 battles.

00:09:06 --> 00:09:18
			Besides that, he had sent out 55 expeditions in which he himself did not participate. But he sent
out battalions expeditions.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:25
			So you had a reservoir at Barrows, and then you had what are known as saraiya,

00:09:27 --> 00:09:31
			which are expeditions. And we'll get more into that later on.

00:09:32 --> 00:09:37
			And we'll talk about the various expeditions that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam had sent
out.

00:09:38 --> 00:09:40
			But the point here is,

00:09:41 --> 00:09:42
			if you add

00:09:44 --> 00:09:47
			if you add those together those numbers together, you find

00:09:49 --> 00:09:51
			70 armed conflicts

00:09:53 --> 00:09:54
			within a span

00:09:55 --> 00:09:56
			of 10 years.

00:09:58 --> 00:09:59
			This means

00:10:00 --> 00:10:04
			On average, we're looking at seven armed conflicts

00:10:05 --> 00:10:06
			every year,

00:10:07 --> 00:10:12
			approximately seven armed conflicts, whether they are battles,

00:10:13 --> 00:10:16
			all wars, or expeditions.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:19
			And

00:10:20 --> 00:10:24
			these battles these expeditions, they take time to prepare.

00:10:27 --> 00:10:32
			You have to finance you have to mobilize and organize an army.

00:10:34 --> 00:10:39
			And then in those days, you needed time to reach your destination.

00:10:40 --> 00:10:42
			And then you need a time to come back.

00:10:43 --> 00:10:44
			And so

00:10:46 --> 00:10:48
			what we can see is that it was

00:10:49 --> 00:11:04
			a huge burden on the Islamic State. The question is, why did rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam devote so much time and energy to it?

00:11:07 --> 00:11:11
			Another reason why this needs to be discussed

00:11:13 --> 00:11:20
			is that this issue has become a very hot topic today. Event a very controversial subject.

00:11:22 --> 00:11:25
			And so there is a major misconception

00:11:27 --> 00:11:29
			on what Jihad really means.

00:11:31 --> 00:11:45
			And it's not only a misconception among non Muslims, but even Unfortunately, many Muslims do not
understand what it means and wanting to respond to

00:11:48 --> 00:11:54
			the accusations of the enemies of Islam. Sometimes, we end up watering down the deen

00:11:55 --> 00:11:56
			and we end up

00:11:57 --> 00:12:03
			trying to give a picture of something that is a part of the deen that is distorted.

00:12:04 --> 00:12:05
			And so

00:12:07 --> 00:12:15
			there's a misconception of what Jihad means. And what is the objective of jihad? And what is the
wisdom behind it

00:12:20 --> 00:12:23
			it's the word itself Jihad means struggle.

00:12:24 --> 00:12:28
			And it comes from a droid which means to exert effort.

00:12:29 --> 00:12:35
			And so the linguistic meaning of it, is to exert effort or to struggle.

00:12:37 --> 00:12:38
			And

00:12:39 --> 00:12:40
			this term has been used in the Quran

00:12:45 --> 00:13:01
			referring to the linguistic meaning of struggling, for example, Allah subhanahu Attallah says, well,
lady in a Jahad Rufina, Leonard, the unknown Subala those who struggle in our way, we will guide
them to the various ways

00:13:03 --> 00:13:09
			and also mangia in the manga. He's the one who struggles he only struggles for his own self.

00:13:11 --> 00:13:11
			However,

00:13:14 --> 00:13:15
			later on this term,

00:13:17 --> 00:13:20
			it carried a specific Islamic meaning.

00:13:21 --> 00:13:26
			And so there are words in the Arabic language that have a linguistic meaning.

00:13:27 --> 00:13:31
			But then Islam came and gave it a new specific meaning.

00:13:35 --> 00:13:39
			And so, when we talk about these terms, we have to always

00:13:41 --> 00:13:42
			refer to the Islamic meaning.

00:13:47 --> 00:13:51
			So for example, Salah, it means dua

00:13:52 --> 00:13:53
			to supplicate.

00:13:54 --> 00:14:03
			However, Islam gave you a new definition and that is when you say salah, immediately your mind goes
to a specific way of praying.

00:14:05 --> 00:14:10
			Likewise, jihad, it has its linguistic meaning however

00:14:14 --> 00:14:17
			when it is mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah.

00:14:19 --> 00:14:27
			When it is mentioned in the Quran, and Sunnah unless there's, you know, some kind of evidence to
prove otherwise, it means one thing

00:14:28 --> 00:14:32
			and that is to fight the enemies of Allah.

00:14:33 --> 00:14:36
			A physical struggle

00:14:38 --> 00:14:42
			to fight the enemies of Allah who object to his Deen.

00:14:43 --> 00:14:48
			This is the meaning and this is agreed upon by all the scholars of Islam.

00:14:50 --> 00:14:57
			All for metal hubs. All the scholars of Islam agree that this is the meaning of energy had in Islam.

00:14:59 --> 00:14:59
			The proof

00:15:00 --> 00:15:00
			So jihad

00:15:03 --> 00:15:06
			is to basically free the people

00:15:07 --> 00:15:14
			from slavery to one another, and to become slaves of Allah. And so

00:15:15 --> 00:15:25
			it is much better to be a slave of the Creator rather than a slave of creations, whether they are
rocks, idols, human beings, etc.

00:15:31 --> 00:15:35
			And it is also to bring the people under the blessing rule of Islam,

00:15:36 --> 00:15:49
			whether they become Muslim or not, because in Islam, we cannot force anyone to become Muslim.
However, we have an obligation to

00:15:50 --> 00:15:56
			allow the people to come into the fold of Islam. And that will not be possible

00:15:57 --> 00:16:02
			unless we open up plans, and we conquer them and we rule them.

00:16:04 --> 00:16:12
			Otherwise, there will be people and nations that won't have access and their chiefs

00:16:13 --> 00:16:18
			and their elite will prevent them continuously prevent them from accepting Islam.

00:16:22 --> 00:16:30
			And so there is an increased chance of more people coming to Islam if they were living under Islamic
rule.

00:16:32 --> 00:16:36
			And that's why rasool Allah is Allahu alayhi wa sallam says, in the Hadith, that

00:16:37 --> 00:16:45
			Allah subhanahu Attallah is amazed by people who are dragged into Jannah in chains.

00:16:46 --> 00:16:53
			How basically, these people are dragged into Islam, even though they don't want to.

00:16:56 --> 00:17:11
			And that is after Islam came and opened up their lands and ruled and gave them an opportunity to see
Islam for what it is. And so they ended up accepting Islam because they were subjugated.

00:17:13 --> 00:17:17
			And so that becomes their reason for entering into Islam.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:21
			And the reason for entering into Jain

00:17:23 --> 00:17:28
			so in general, most people they're not interested in hearing about religion.

00:17:30 --> 00:17:32
			If you were to announce to

00:17:34 --> 00:17:38
			non Muslims that there will be electron Islam, how many would respond?

00:17:39 --> 00:17:40
			rarely anyone would.

00:17:42 --> 00:17:43
			And so,

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46
			the point here is

00:17:48 --> 00:17:54
			that when the Sahaba or the Allahu Anhu fought FISA villa,

00:17:55 --> 00:18:01
			and they brought the people under the rule of Islam, that is when the people started to listen.

00:18:04 --> 00:18:05
			Think about it, think about

00:18:06 --> 00:18:07
			the

00:18:09 --> 00:18:14
			various phases of the Dawa when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was in Mecca,

00:18:16 --> 00:18:17
			and he was giving Dawa.

00:18:20 --> 00:18:21
			Only a few people responded

00:18:23 --> 00:18:24
			from the people of NACA

00:18:27 --> 00:18:30
			and even more a few responded from those outside of Mecca.

00:18:32 --> 00:18:37
			We talked about the stories of people who had accepted Islam, but how many were they? Very, very
few.

00:18:39 --> 00:18:53
			But then, when the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam now established an Islamic state, the people,
the tribes and even other nations and civilization started to listen.

00:18:56 --> 00:18:58
			And they started to take it seriously.

00:19:00 --> 00:19:06
			And so that is when when the Prophet Olson was in Medina, that is when people started accepting
Islam more.

00:19:08 --> 00:19:13
			And so from a few 100, the Muslim population rose to the 1000s.

00:19:14 --> 00:19:17
			And then by the end of

00:19:19 --> 00:19:28
			by the by the time the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam entered Mecca, the conquest of Mecca, he
had an army of 12,000

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31
			or 10,000.

00:19:34 --> 00:19:35
			And then,

00:19:36 --> 00:19:42
			when he went for hegemony without the final farewell hedge, he went with 90,000 people.

00:19:43 --> 00:19:45
			So after FATCA

00:19:47 --> 00:19:49
			all these people started accepting Islam.

00:19:50 --> 00:19:59
			And then when he passed away, those who prayed his gelato janazah were numbered, approximately
114,000

00:20:01 --> 00:20:04
			And so what we can see here is

00:20:05 --> 00:20:12
			that when Islam has the upper hand, and when Islam is ruling

00:20:14 --> 00:20:16
			that gives an opportunity

00:20:18 --> 00:20:29
			to give Dawa at another another level at a level that is not possible when you don't have the
authority and the rule

00:20:34 --> 00:20:38
			now, what are the various stages that

00:20:39 --> 00:20:42
			Jihad went through? And so

00:20:44 --> 00:20:48
			Jihad visa vie Rila as we know it

00:20:51 --> 00:20:55
			did not become legislated upon the Muslims in one go,

00:20:57 --> 00:21:01
			go fight all the kuffar. No, that's not how it was. And so

00:21:02 --> 00:21:06
			if you look at him, he mentioned that there were

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09
			generally four stages that

00:21:11 --> 00:21:18
			Jihad went through, in its legislation. He mentioned this in that Allah Muhammad.

00:21:20 --> 00:21:22
			And so he mentioned in the beginning it was

00:21:23 --> 00:21:30
			the ruling of fighting was haram. It was not permissible. And this was in Makkah.

00:21:32 --> 00:21:42
			And there are many examples of this, of how the Companions would come to the Prophet SAW Selim and
ask him, Why can't we fight back? Yeah, Rasul Allah, let us fight back. You know, they were being
persecuted.

00:21:43 --> 00:21:54
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to them, no, I have not been commanded to do
that. So this stage was the stage of patience.

00:21:55 --> 00:21:57
			Now is a time for patients.

00:21:59 --> 00:22:03
			You're being persecuted, you're being tortured. They're patient.

00:22:05 --> 00:22:07
			They're a patient. And so it was not allowed.

00:22:11 --> 00:22:17
			And so, after that, the second stage was when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:22:18 --> 00:22:20
			Moved to Medina

00:22:21 --> 00:22:24
			and this stage was the permission to fight

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26
			the permission.

00:22:28 --> 00:22:29
			It was not a command.

00:22:30 --> 00:22:32
			But rather it was simply permitted.

00:22:34 --> 00:22:38
			So if you want to fight back, but you don't have to

00:22:42 --> 00:22:59
			and this is when Allah subhanahu Attallah said the source will hedge only in Adelaide you know you
caught Luna be unknown Lulu in Allah Allah. Nasri. Hemlock added permission to fight back is now
granted to those being fought

00:23:00 --> 00:23:11
			for they have been wronged. And Allah is most capable of helping them prevail and granting them
victory. So here permission was given to them.

00:23:13 --> 00:23:14
			The following stage

00:23:15 --> 00:23:18
			is now that they are now commanded to fight.

00:23:20 --> 00:23:24
			This third stage is to fight those who fight you

00:23:27 --> 00:23:29
			to fight those who fight you.

00:23:30 --> 00:23:31
			And

00:23:32 --> 00:24:02
			this is when Allah subhanaw taala revealed in Surah Baqarah we'll call it Luffy sebelah Hilarion and
your quality Luna calm while I title in the Lucha Libre have been martyred in fight in the Cause of
Allah against those who fight you, but do not exceed the limits. Allah does not like those who
exceed the limits. So here the command came from Allah to fight against those who transgress against
you.

00:24:05 --> 00:24:06
			And this was a kind of

00:24:09 --> 00:24:10
			finally,

00:24:11 --> 00:24:15
			the final stage in which the final law

00:24:16 --> 00:24:21
			was revealed by Allah for the entire ummah. Ibaka yam says

00:24:23 --> 00:24:37
			about the stage that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was now instructed to fight everyone,
meaning to fight all of the kuffar and emotionally cool, and the enemies of Islam.

00:24:38 --> 00:24:49
			And this is where a loss of parenthood to Allah says in surah toga, we're called to emotionally Kena
calf 10 Can you call it Luna CONCACAF

00:24:50 --> 00:24:51
			de la

00:24:52 --> 00:25:00
			creme and fight against the kuffaar against the disbelievers collectively, all together, all of you
must

00:25:00 --> 00:25:01
			sums together, come together

00:25:03 --> 00:25:14
			collectively, and fight against all of them as they come together against you collectively to fight
against you, and know that Allah is with those who fear.

00:25:16 --> 00:25:28
			So these were the four stages in which Jihad was prescribed and legislated, as we can see here, like
many of the difficult

00:25:30 --> 00:25:32
			legislations in in Islam,

00:25:34 --> 00:25:36
			care and consideration was given to

00:25:39 --> 00:25:41
			legislate it in a gradual way.

00:25:42 --> 00:25:46
			So that it's easy for the Muslims to adapt.

00:25:48 --> 00:25:49
			And so imagine if

00:25:50 --> 00:25:54
			something like this was to be made compulsory upon all the Muslims in one go.

00:25:56 --> 00:26:01
			Likewise, many other legislations in Islam they came down in a gradual way.

00:26:04 --> 00:26:09
			Now, what are the objectives of jihad?

00:26:11 --> 00:26:12
			And so when we look at

00:26:14 --> 00:26:18
			the ayat in the Quran that talk about jihad, we find that

00:26:20 --> 00:26:32
			there are many objectives and reasons why Allah legislated. Let's go through some of these
objectives, first and foremost, for the deen of Allah to prevail

00:26:34 --> 00:26:38
			for the deen of Allah to be above and to prevail over the land.

00:26:41 --> 00:26:43
			And so this means that

00:26:46 --> 00:26:49
			Jihad was legislated to grant freedom of religion.

00:26:51 --> 00:27:02
			Not in the sense that, you know, the West speaks about where for them, it is to grant freedom to
some as opposed to others.

00:27:06 --> 00:27:09
			And what they actually mean is when they say freedom

00:27:10 --> 00:27:12
			is to grant freedom to cover

00:27:13 --> 00:27:16
			and to allow cover to spread

00:27:17 --> 00:27:19
			in Muslim Societies.

00:27:23 --> 00:27:29
			So what we mean is the freedom to preach and give dower

00:27:30 --> 00:27:31
			without any hindrance

00:27:32 --> 00:27:41
			to allow the deen of Allah the message of Islam to reach every single soul and every single human
being and for people to practice Islam freely.

00:27:43 --> 00:27:56
			So Allah subhanahu antalet says in this regard what quality loom had led to Hakuna fitna while your
Coonan Dino kulula fight against them until there is no more fitna meaning there is no more cover

00:28:00 --> 00:28:01
			and the deen of Allah

00:28:02 --> 00:28:12
			will be entirely for a lot. So this shows us that one of the main objectives of fighting is to allow
the deen of Allah to prevail.

00:28:14 --> 00:28:20
			And when it is prevalent, and when the deen of Allah is ruling over the land,

00:28:22 --> 00:28:38
			people have access to the deen of Allah. Because in the end of the day, Allah subhanahu wa Tada sent
this deal not for only me and you not for only a group of human beings, but rather for every single
human being on Earth.

00:28:42 --> 00:28:46
			And this message will not reach certain people because

00:28:48 --> 00:28:50
			there is a hindrance.

00:28:52 --> 00:28:55
			There are people coming in the way and they are the enemies of Islam.

00:28:57 --> 00:29:01
			And so, this hindrance need needs to be removed and for this Jihad was legislated.

00:29:02 --> 00:29:12
			And this is often referred to as offensive jihad. So even if the even if you are not being attacked,
you go out and you

00:29:14 --> 00:29:16
			wage jihad, FISA Barilla

00:29:17 --> 00:29:32
			opening lands where there is resistance. And so when the Muslims when the Muslim armies used to come
to a non Muslim land, they would present itself to them they wouldn't immediately come in invade

00:29:33 --> 00:29:39
			and kill no. They would say we have come to bring you out of darkness into light.

00:29:42 --> 00:29:46
			For the message of Islam to be presented to you, this is what we have to offer.

00:29:48 --> 00:29:50
			Allow this message to reach your people.

00:29:52 --> 00:29:53
			And we won't have to fight.

00:29:54 --> 00:29:55
			But what would happen

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59
			those people would refuse it

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			And so the only option was to fight.

00:30:04 --> 00:30:32
			Also among the objectives of jihad being legislated, was for the protection of rituals and places of
worship. Allah subhanahu Attallah says who DINELLI Latina ukata Luna be anomaly mu. We're in Allahu
Hyla Nasri him naka de permission to fight back has been granted to those being fought, for they
have been wronged and Allah is most capable of helping them to prevail. Then what does Allah say?

00:30:33 --> 00:30:46
			Ladies and gentlemen the area be lady helping ILA and your Kulu Prabhu Nola, those who have been
expelled from their homes for no other reason than saying our Lord is Allah

00:30:49 --> 00:31:02
			while I will defer Allah He NASA bow to whom be Ballwin LaHood Dima Sawa Swami Rubia Arun was on our
way to in one eye surgery Do you the kernel fee has Mala he Cathy Ron

00:31:04 --> 00:31:07
			had Allah not repelled

00:31:09 --> 00:31:17
			the aggression of some people by means of others than destruction would have surely claimed
monasteries,

00:31:19 --> 00:31:36
			churches, synagogues and masajid in which Allah's name is often mentioned, what am surah Allah Who
Manial surah in Allahu Allah Kalyan Aziz and Allah will certainly help those who stand up for him.
And Allah is truly all powerful almighty.

00:31:38 --> 00:31:47
			Notice here, how Allah is saying, we're not that Allah repels some people by means of others meaning

00:31:49 --> 00:31:52
			if it was not for the fact that some people have had to fight another,

00:31:54 --> 00:31:55
			then what would have happened?

00:31:58 --> 00:32:00
			places of worship would become demolished.

00:32:01 --> 00:32:02
			And notice here

00:32:04 --> 00:32:07
			Allah mentions churches, synagogues.

00:32:09 --> 00:32:11
			Why? Because

00:32:12 --> 00:32:14
			our owner was not the first one

00:32:16 --> 00:32:17
			to be ordered to fight.

00:32:19 --> 00:32:23
			The first owner to be ordered to fight was Benny Israel

00:32:26 --> 00:32:28
			for the previous nations before that,

00:32:29 --> 00:32:33
			how did Allah deal with his enemies by wiping them out?

00:32:35 --> 00:32:43
			The people of New had the mood and so on. They were destroyed when they would not listen.

00:32:44 --> 00:32:48
			But it was Benny is Rocky, who are watching who had to order them to fight.

00:32:50 --> 00:32:51
			And so

00:32:58 --> 00:33:04
			what we see here is Allah subhanahu Attallah mentioning synagogues and churches for that reason.

00:33:06 --> 00:33:09
			And Allah also mentions massage. So the point here is

00:33:10 --> 00:33:13
			that Jihad was legislated to protect the places of worship.

00:33:14 --> 00:33:20
			Because the transgressors they will destroy and demolish these places if you don't stand up to
protect.

00:33:21 --> 00:33:25
			Also, among the objectives of legislating Jihad

00:33:26 --> 00:33:29
			was to protect the world from corruption

00:33:30 --> 00:33:31
			and disaster.

00:33:33 --> 00:33:39
			And so when you fight Jihad feasable Allah, it is not destruction.

00:33:41 --> 00:33:42
			As

00:33:43 --> 00:33:48
			you know, the enemies of Assam want us to believe it as the media portrays it,

00:33:49 --> 00:33:54
			but rather the opposite. Jihad was legislated to actually protect the world

00:33:55 --> 00:33:57
			to bring peace to the world.

00:33:58 --> 00:34:02
			And so, look at what Allah subhanahu Attallah mentions.

00:34:04 --> 00:34:06
			In Surah Baqarah, Walla Walla,

00:34:08 --> 00:34:13
			differ Allah He nursed bow to him be Baldon Lefay said that till on

00:34:14 --> 00:34:16
			when I came to LA to felt good in Ireland, Ireland.

00:34:17 --> 00:34:27
			Allah mentioned this right after he mentioned the story of Dawood, alayhis. Salaam, and dilute
Goliath

00:34:29 --> 00:34:44
			and how that will that Islam was victorious over his enemy. Right after that Allah says this, what
does Allah say here? Had Allah not repelled one group of people by the might of another corruption
would have dominated Earth

00:34:45 --> 00:34:52
			but Allah is gracious to all. So what we learn from this is that Jihad and filing fees are real
Allah was legislated

00:34:53 --> 00:34:55
			to bring peace to the world

00:34:56 --> 00:34:58
			to prevent corruption

00:34:59 --> 00:34:59
			and destroy

00:35:00 --> 00:35:01
			Chin from prevailing in the world

00:35:04 --> 00:35:06
			and that is exactly what tyrants do.

00:35:07 --> 00:35:09
			And so they need to be brought,

00:35:10 --> 00:35:11
			they need to be brought to a stop.

00:35:14 --> 00:35:22
			If no one stands up to oppose them and fight them back, then tyranny will become widespread on
Earth.

00:35:24 --> 00:35:28
			Also among the objectives of legislating Jihad was to test people.

00:35:31 --> 00:35:37
			Our entire existence here in this dunya is a test from Allah to test our ima

00:35:40 --> 00:35:46
			and Allah legislative Jihad also to test us as Allah subhanahu wa Tada says,

00:35:47 --> 00:35:48
			In surah Muhammad

00:35:50 --> 00:35:52
			which is also known as Surah Al Kitab.

00:35:53 --> 00:36:11
			The Surah fading Allah subhanho wa Taala says Valley Caledonia sha Allah lentil Surah Minho, while I
kill Leah beluga bow, the Combi bow, well, Adina kuti, Luisa de la, he's telling you, Bella Armando
Had Allah willed, He Himself could have

00:36:12 --> 00:36:20
			inflicted punishment on them, meaning the kuffaar Had Allah willed, He could have punished him like
he did with previous nations.

00:36:21 --> 00:36:23
			But he does this

00:36:24 --> 00:36:31
			while I kill Leah believe about DocumentDB. But he does this only to test some of you by means of
others.

00:36:32 --> 00:37:03
			And those who are murdered in the Cause of Allah, Allah will never allow their deeds to go to waste.
And so armed struggle is a test for the believers. It is also a test for the kuffaar. And so Allah
is testing the patience of the believers, and whether they will sacrifice their souls for him or
not. And so the biggest sacrifice that a believer can make is to give up his life and his wealth for
Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:37:06 --> 00:37:12
			It is also a test to see are you going to be afraid of the Creation instead of being afraid of
Allah.

00:37:15 --> 00:37:19
			And so there are so many tests here. It's also a test for the heart

00:37:23 --> 00:37:25
			and how much the heart is attached to the dunya.

00:37:27 --> 00:37:30
			And so, when the call comes to fight,

00:37:31 --> 00:37:35
			people, they back down, they don't want to give up their dunya

00:37:37 --> 00:37:39
			and then it's also a test for the hypocrites as we're going to see.

00:37:42 --> 00:37:46
			And so Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions how the hypocrites were exposed

00:37:50 --> 00:37:52
			when When were they exposed

00:37:53 --> 00:37:54
			at the time of battle

00:37:58 --> 00:38:00
			so Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions

00:38:03 --> 00:38:42
			are When are your own and know whom you've turned on? Frequently am in my rotten own routine. So
malaria taboo in our home yet the Quran. Allah mentioned this at the end of Surah, a Toba, which is
all about exposing the munafo canta hypocrites. Allah says do Do they not see that they are tested
once or twice every year? Yet they neither repent, nor do they learn a lesson, the average battles
of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam were approximately one or two per year. And every time that
wouldn't feel cool, it was a test for them.

00:38:44 --> 00:38:51
			Because they're not believers. Why would they join the Muslim forces to go and give up their lives

00:38:53 --> 00:38:55
			when they are attached to this dunya

00:38:58 --> 00:39:11
			the fifth objective is to expose them when I feel good. As Allah subhanahu Attallah says, Now Karen
Allahu Leah, Mina, Alana and Tamala he had diabetes and Kabita Amina by hip

00:39:12 --> 00:39:17
			Allah would not leave the believers in the condition in which you are currently in.

00:39:18 --> 00:39:26
			This was in El Medina, when they were living with the munafo code. And the Manasa code had not yet
been exposed.

00:39:27 --> 00:39:29
			their true colors had not come out.

00:39:30 --> 00:39:38
			Allah says Allah will not leave the believers in the condition in which you're in until he has
distinguished the good from the evil among you.

00:39:42 --> 00:39:52
			And so the way you can separate evil from good is by fighting FISA. vilella. And so this idea is in
surah, Allah and Ron

00:39:55 --> 00:39:59
			among the ayat that talked about the Battle of Oakland

00:40:00 --> 00:40:02
			because in the Battle of 100,

00:40:04 --> 00:40:05
			the head of the mafia

00:40:07 --> 00:40:08
			Abdullah ibn obey,

00:40:09 --> 00:40:11
			he withdrew.

00:40:12 --> 00:40:13
			Initially he went out

00:40:15 --> 00:40:23
			to show that, you know, he's with the Muslims, but then he withdrew his troops, which formed
approximately a third of the Muslim bar.

00:40:25 --> 00:40:26
			And so we'll look at how,

00:40:27 --> 00:40:30
			when Allah legislates Jihad it exposes

00:40:31 --> 00:40:36
			it exposes the evil in the ranks of the Muslims then when Africa

00:40:38 --> 00:40:59
			also, Jihad was legislated to punish and humiliate the enemies of Allah as Allah subhanahu wa Tada
says, or to whom you ad lib to whom Allah will be add come or you see him while you're on Surah,
Kamali him, when it should be sudo rakonin mean? Find them, and Allah will punish them at your hands
or believers,

00:41:00 --> 00:41:09
			Allah will put them to shame. And Allah will help you to overcome them. And Allah will soothe the
hearts of the believers.

00:41:10 --> 00:41:17
			He'll soothe your hearts when you're able to go and fight. Because until then, your hearts are
burning in range

00:41:19 --> 00:41:21
			at what they're doing to you.

00:41:22 --> 00:41:30
			And so all of this shows us that among the objectives of jihad, is to punish the disbelievers to
humiliate them

00:41:32 --> 00:41:34
			and to disgrace them.

00:41:35 --> 00:41:40
			Finally, among the objectives of Allah legislating, Jihad feasability, Allah

00:41:41 --> 00:41:46
			is to defend against the aggression of the enemies of Allah.

00:41:48 --> 00:41:51
			And so these enemies are either

00:41:52 --> 00:41:54
			actively transgressing against Muslims.

00:41:56 --> 00:41:59
			And so we need to stand up in self defense

00:42:00 --> 00:42:02
			or they plan to transgress against it.

00:42:03 --> 00:42:11
			And so, something needs to be put in place to repel that aggression or potential aggression.

00:42:12 --> 00:43:02
			And it has to be in the form of self defense. And this is what the LMI referred to as the defensive
jihad. So there are basically two kinds of jihad, authentic Jihad that we spoke about, and defensive
jihad. Allah subhana wa Tada says about this defensive jihad in Surah, Nisa, for or till
feasterville Allahu Allah to color, that to kill left with a line of sight will hurry you will mean
so fight in the Cause of Allah, O Messenger. You are accountable for none but yourself and motivate
the believers, energize the believers to fight so that perhaps Allah is Allah Who and your cooktop
XL Adina kuffaar Allah who should do bad sandwich I do Tenkiller so that Perhaps Allah will curb the

00:43:02 --> 00:43:06
			might of the disbelievers. Allah will repel

00:43:07 --> 00:43:12
			the might of the disbelievers and Allah is far more superior in light and in punishment.

00:43:13 --> 00:43:19
			So these are among the objectives of Allah legislating for those who asked why.

00:43:20 --> 00:43:22
			And this is a common question nowadays.

00:43:23 --> 00:43:27
			You know, in this era in which we live in, in where, where,

00:43:28 --> 00:43:35
			you know, everyone is calling for peaceful coexistence, there should be no aggression, there should
be no fighting

00:43:37 --> 00:43:52
			will get into the various kinds of fighting. But right now we say these are among the reasons for
why Allah legislated jihad for his cause. Now, in

00:43:53 --> 00:44:02
			the believers were not allowed to fight back, even though Quraysh had used all forms of aggression
against the Muslims.

00:44:04 --> 00:44:11
			And we have to understand it wasn't easy for the Arabs to restrain themselves.

00:44:12 --> 00:44:15
			You know, we're talking about the Muslims here. They were tribesmen

00:44:18 --> 00:44:20
			and tribal people.

00:44:23 --> 00:44:28
			They did not have that kind of anti war background, that we find people nowadays.

00:44:30 --> 00:44:31
			They were warriors.

00:44:33 --> 00:44:36
			You know, you come and fight them, they're gonna fight back.

00:44:37 --> 00:44:45
			There were no peace activists in those days, like Martin Luther King like Gandhi. Generally, if you
fight against such people,

00:44:47 --> 00:44:48
			they would fight back.

00:44:49 --> 00:44:53
			So for them to restrain themselves from fighting was very difficult.

00:44:55 --> 00:44:59
			But it was a test of their patience. It was a test of their patience.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:08
			It was a test of their submission. Are you going to listen to the commandments of Allah or not? All
of this was training. And that's why

00:45:10 --> 00:45:15
			the period of time in Mecca was all a training period

00:45:17 --> 00:45:22
			to build the Eman of the believers so that when the time comes

00:45:24 --> 00:45:24
			to fight,

00:45:25 --> 00:45:27
			they'll have that strength of EMA.

00:45:28 --> 00:45:30
			So when the permission finally came to fight,

00:45:32 --> 00:45:36
			Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Allah, He says that I knew there was going to be fighting.

00:45:37 --> 00:45:46
			Ultimate, ultimately, we will have to fight, there is no way that we can get out of this situation
that we're in, except by fighting in the hands of Allah.

00:45:47 --> 00:45:56
			And so the Permission was given, as we mentioned, either in the early days of Medina, or some say it
was given before the Hijra.

00:45:57 --> 00:46:03
			But they only took part in fighting once they had migrated to and Medina.

00:46:05 --> 00:46:07
			And so this shows us

00:46:08 --> 00:46:16
			that this was one of the first things that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, started to focus
on when he arrived in El Medina.

00:46:17 --> 00:46:19
			And so to fight against

00:46:20 --> 00:46:21
			an opponent.

00:46:23 --> 00:46:25
			It requires preparation.

00:46:26 --> 00:46:29
			And that is why Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam started training

00:46:30 --> 00:46:34
			the Muslims to fight and this training took two forms.

00:46:36 --> 00:46:40
			One was the spiritual training, and the other was physical training.

00:46:42 --> 00:46:47
			And so you had many as revealed, encouraging them some stuff like

00:46:48 --> 00:46:50
			mentioning the huge reward for

00:46:52 --> 00:46:55
			at the same time, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:46:57 --> 00:47:04
			would encourage the believers by mentioning many, many different kinds of virtues of fighting in the
Cause of Allah.

00:47:06 --> 00:47:23
			The reward for the one who dies, fighting for the cause of Allah, and so on and so forth. So all of
this was, all of this was to prepare them spiritually. Then came the physical preparation.

00:47:25 --> 00:47:29
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had to prepare them physically now.

00:47:31 --> 00:47:32
			When we talk about

00:47:35 --> 00:47:39
			physically preparing them, it meant, basically military training.

00:47:41 --> 00:47:41
			And so

00:47:42 --> 00:47:54
			everyone who fulfilled five requirements was expected to join to join the army of the Muslims.

00:47:55 --> 00:47:56
			Islam

00:47:57 --> 00:48:00
			having reached adulthood, or puberty,

00:48:01 --> 00:48:03
			be being mentally sane,

00:48:05 --> 00:48:16
			to be free from faults and defects that would prevent you from fighting, for example, being ill, or
disabled. And the fifth was financial ability.

00:48:17 --> 00:48:38
			financial ability, because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not have the resources, and
the ability to sponsor every fighter. And so everyone had to finance themselves. Now, how did
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam train the Sahaba physically? Did he tell them to go jogging or
lift weights? No.

00:48:39 --> 00:49:00
			And that's because their lifestyle was already very active. And so there was no need to tell them to
get physically fit, unlike a city. And so it wouldn't make sense to tell a farmer who leaves every
morning and after fajr to his farm, and he's working in his in his field.

00:49:01 --> 00:49:07
			until evening, it doesn't make sense to tell him go for a jog, lift some weights. However,

00:49:09 --> 00:49:19
			in the areas where the Muslims were lacking, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did give
instructions for specific training. And so for example,

00:49:20 --> 00:49:32
			he told them to swim and to learn how to swim. Why because the Arabs of Mecca and Medina did not
live near any kind of see where they knew how to swim.

00:49:34 --> 00:49:41
			And swimming is a very important skill to have for someone who is going to go and fight.

00:49:43 --> 00:49:45
			Also the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam train them

00:49:47 --> 00:49:51
			for target shooting what is known as a Rahman

00:49:52 --> 00:49:59
			and so Allah subhanho wa Taala says in Surah TL and fan what I do love whom, Mr. Todd Quwata

00:50:00 --> 00:50:11
			Let me read out Belhaj prepare against them. Again so far what you can have Goolwa of strength of
power and cavalry.

00:50:13 --> 00:50:25
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam explain what is meant by Kuba. Here, strength he said Allah
in. In Quwata Rami, he started three times that strength is in,

00:50:27 --> 00:50:30
			in archery or target shooting.

00:50:32 --> 00:50:41
			And in another Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned, the virtues and the
importance of learning how to shoot.

00:50:43 --> 00:50:52
			And so this is how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would train the companions in certain
areas that

00:50:53 --> 00:51:04
			a certain skill was required for specifically for being able to fight against the enemy. And so from
these teachings, we can notice that

00:51:06 --> 00:51:24
			the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made it a point when he migrated to Medina, to establish a
military. And this was one of the projects, a huge project that he started on, right away as soon as
he migrated. And we looked at the reasons for that.

00:51:25 --> 00:51:36
			And so we'll quickly mentioned some of the lessons that we learned from this episode in the Sierra
are the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The first lesson that we learned

00:51:37 --> 00:51:46
			is that jihad is not only a part of Islam, but it is one of the most important parts of Islam.

00:51:47 --> 00:51:49
			In fact, the scholars

00:51:51 --> 00:51:52
			classically,

00:51:54 --> 00:51:54
			we find that

00:51:56 --> 00:52:10
			they would many times mentioned jihad, FISA be the law, along with an armor Bill malroux For Nahanni
mukha, commanding the good and forbidding the evil, they would mention this as the sixth pillar of
Islam

00:52:11 --> 00:52:16
			to show how it is a fundamental part of Islam.

00:52:17 --> 00:52:25
			And so, the efforts of some, to try to remove this aspect of Islam is futile.

00:52:27 --> 00:52:44
			Yes, there are certain rules that need to be followed when engaging in jihad. And there could be
situations when jihad is not to be waged, but that does not mean that we rule it out. And we try to
brush it to the side.

00:52:45 --> 00:53:08
			Especially when we are being pressured to do so. Like in this day and age in which we live in the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, showing us how this part of Islam will never become
abolished, but rather it will remain until the day of judgment. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam says, There will always be a group from my ummah.

00:53:10 --> 00:53:25
			There will always be a group from my own, that is fighting upon the truth and prevailing until the
day of judgment. So what does that tell us? It tells us that there will never be a time in which
there is no Jihad happening on the face of this earth.

00:53:27 --> 00:53:35
			And so this shows us the importance of this aspect of Islam. The second lesson that we learned is

00:53:36 --> 00:53:43
			that the legislation's of Islam are always balanced between opposing extremes.

00:53:46 --> 00:53:48
			And so when it comes to self defense and fighting,

00:53:49 --> 00:53:52
			Islam is opposed to the Christian way

00:53:54 --> 00:53:55
			of turning the other cheek

00:53:57 --> 00:54:01
			when one is to respond to insult and injury by

00:54:02 --> 00:54:03
			by,

00:54:05 --> 00:54:07
			you know, allowing more insult and injury.

00:54:10 --> 00:54:11
			On the other hand,

00:54:12 --> 00:54:32
			Islam took into consideration when to fight and when not to fight. So it's not all a war, fight in
any way you want. Nor is it to completely put down our weapons No. We see how Islam is moderate, and
balanced between these various extremes.

00:54:33 --> 00:54:35
			The third lesson that we learn

00:54:36 --> 00:54:37
			is

00:54:38 --> 00:54:44
			that every single war is an act of injustice, and is evil.

00:54:47 --> 00:54:52
			With the exception of fighting in the Wrath of Allah, war involves suffering.

00:54:54 --> 00:54:58
			It involves bloodshed. It involves a loss of life

00:54:59 --> 00:54:59
			all

00:55:00 --> 00:55:01
			of which is evil without a doubt

00:55:04 --> 00:55:10
			and every single kind of war is evil and unjust with this exception

00:55:11 --> 00:55:15
			with this exception that it is in the path of Allah

00:55:17 --> 00:55:40
			and the evidence for this Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Allah Dina M and you can't you don't have
ECB Lila those who believe they fight in the plant of Allah. Well Latina kifaru, you cardi Rafi
Surya toeholds and those who disbelieve, they fight in the part of the hood. For RT Lu Alia,
shaytaan, indicator, shaytani turnover Eva

00:55:43 --> 00:55:54
			and the disbelievers they fight in the part of childhood. So fight against shaitan allies. Indeed,
the schemes and the plots of shaitan are ever with here.

00:55:55 --> 00:56:00
			Allah subhanho wa Taala is saying that there are two kinds of war.

00:56:01 --> 00:56:15
			One type is fought for Allah by the believers. And the second type of war is for tahu which is
fought for which is fought by the disbelievers. And so Tahu is anything that is worship

00:56:16 --> 00:56:17
			besides Allah.

00:56:18 --> 00:56:25
			And so if the believers fight for the sake of Allah, then that is a rewarding act.

00:56:26 --> 00:56:31
			If you don't fight for the sake of Allah, then you are fighting for other than Allah.

00:56:32 --> 00:56:37
			And so even if they say that we are fighting for the sake of freedom,

00:56:39 --> 00:56:44
			to spread justice, to spread to spread freedom,

00:56:45 --> 00:56:52
			it is still evil, because it is not for Allah, but rather it is freedom, according to them,

00:56:53 --> 00:56:56
			and justice, according to their worldview.

00:56:58 --> 00:56:58
			But

00:56:59 --> 00:57:14
			if there is a war that is fought under the banner of la ilaha illallah, then this is the only kind
which is just unjustified. Why because Islam is against all kinds of oppression,

00:57:15 --> 00:57:16
			and aggression.

00:57:19 --> 00:57:26
			And who defines justice for us? None other than Allah subhanho wa Taala finally, the last lesson
that we learned

00:57:27 --> 00:57:31
			is the grave consequences of abandoning,

00:57:32 --> 00:57:40
			fighting in the path of Allah. If the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his companions had not
established a military

00:57:43 --> 00:57:48
			if they did not establish an army, if they did not wage jihad

00:57:51 --> 00:57:55
			as Allah subhanaw taala prescribed it, then

00:57:56 --> 00:57:59
			Islam would have been wiped out.

00:58:01 --> 00:58:02
			And Islam would not have reached us.

00:58:04 --> 00:58:08
			Insulin abita would the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says,

00:58:09 --> 00:58:13
			When you enter into Bay Elena, a kind of

00:58:16 --> 00:58:20
			impermissible haram kind of transaction, which is river based,

00:58:21 --> 00:58:26
			and you hold on to the tails of cows, and you are pleased with agriculture

00:58:29 --> 00:58:54
			and you give up fighting jihad, then Allah will allow disgrace to prevail over you. And he will not
take it away until you return to your original Diem. And so we can safely say that this refers to
our current state as an owner unfortunately, and we can also see the reason for it.

00:58:55 --> 00:58:58
			We can also see the reason for his love for the dunya

00:58:59 --> 00:59:02
			and not wanting to give it up.

00:59:04 --> 00:59:08
			And this is why Allah subhanho wa Taala criticizes

00:59:09 --> 00:59:22
			those who do not respond to the call of jihad. Allah subhanahu Attallah says you Halina and Malecon
either Theale Allah kumin fie roofie surbey Rila culto il

00:59:23 --> 00:59:31
			O you who believe what is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forward in the Cause
of Allah

00:59:33 --> 00:59:36
			that you hold on to the ground, meaning

00:59:37 --> 00:59:39
			you remain seated, you don't get up.

00:59:41 --> 00:59:52
			You don't mobilize yourself to go and march out in jihad. Instead you hold on to the ground meaning
you hold on to this dunya of yours. Are we Tom Bill hayati dunya, Amina era

00:59:54 --> 00:59:59
			Do you prefer the life of this world over the hereafter? Tonight metalhead

01:00:00 --> 01:00:03
			dunya Irati Illa Khalil,

01:00:04 --> 01:00:08
			the enjoyment of this worldly life is small.

01:00:09 --> 01:00:14
			It is insignificant compared to that, of that.

01:00:16 --> 01:00:29
			So this shows us the grave consequences of abandoning this fundamental aspect of Islam that was
upheld by not only the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, but by his companions after him,

01:00:30 --> 01:00:40
			and not only his companions, but generation after generation of Muslims, continued waging Jihad
feasability Allah until only

01:00:41 --> 01:00:45
			a century ago when the Muslim

01:00:46 --> 01:01:04
			ummah became divided, and that one state that was holding them together, collapsed. And so now you
don't have a state who's going to wage that jihad. Whether it be as we said, the two kinds of jihad,
whether it be a defensive or an offensive jihad.

01:01:06 --> 01:01:15
			And so what does all this show us? That it was something that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam
started and it continued for generations and centuries.

01:01:16 --> 01:02:05
			Until we are in the current situation, which we are in, and we mentioned the reason for that. And
this Hadith also tells us what the solution for that is to go back to the deen of Allah Subhanallah
when we ask Allah subhana wa Tada to allow them sins, to come back to their senses and to allow them
to come back to redeem. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant Muslims around the world who are
suffering, to grant them victory over their enemies. Without we come to the end of this session of
the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Subhan Allah who will be handed to Allah ilaha
illa Anta so Furukawa to break wa sallahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad, while early he also can be

01:02:05 --> 01:02:09
			urged Marian was salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
