Kamil Ahmad – Lessons from the Seerah 31 Establishing Bonds of Brotherhood
AI: Summary ©
The El Normal project was created to establish bonds of brotherhood between Muslims and Christian groups, but it was not on the tribal or economic lines. The Prophet sallua alayhi wa sallam created a community between Christian and Muslims, and partnered with Christian leaders to establish a community. The importance of establishing bonds of brotherhood was emphasized, and relationships were centered around blood and economic benefits. The speaker emphasized the need to avoid false accusations and avoid being recognized, and warned against cutting off ties and wage war against other enemies. The importance of shaitan was emphasized, and the speaker discussed upcoming projects, including a course in Islam and a course in English for the next week.

Last week, we mentioned that
when Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam arrived in Medina
after his Hedra
he immediately started on certain projects. And so he mentioned that there were four main things that he immediately started on. And last week, we covered the first of these. And that was
establishing the masjid
establishing the restaurant, the second
establishing the bonds of brotherhood, the third
making a treaty or a covenant, a pact that would govern the relationship between the various groups of Medina and the fourth
the establishment of the army.
And so last week, we spoke about the first project. And so today we move on to the second.
And so just like the first project, establishing the masjid, this second project was equally as important.
And so that was due to what we spoke about previously, the demographics of El Medina
how you had different kinds of groups. So you had
the remaining emotionally corn among the Arabs, who were there in El Medina.
And then you had the yahood the Jews.
And then now you have
the mahadji rune with the unsalted so you have all these different groups that are here in Medina.
And so a new community was now going to be built.
And so this community, it had to have something that would bond it.
And so this new bond that would bond the community together was a new bond.
And so, usually
in Arabia
the culture of the Arabs was that bonds
are recognized by blood
by the family you come from,
or certain economical relationships
or certain military alliances.
But now we have a new bond. And so a new community was being built. And
what was going to bond it together was nothing but Emad.
What was going to bond it together was nothing but even.
And so to show the importance of this bond, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam undertook this project right after building his Masjid.
Now in the Quran, we have general statements
of the bonds of brotherhood
between all Muslims in general.
And so, for example, Allah subhanahu Attallah says, Where are those removed be heavily Lehi, Jimmy and Walter for Rocco. Hold on all of you to the rope of Allah.
And do not
become divided. What Karuna amatola here illegal is quantum Ida and for Elesa Vina Karoubi come for us back to BB and T. Atlanta Welcome to Milosh of apoprotein millenary and
cada minha, Allah says, and remember here Allah is reminding the believers of what they used to be and what they are now. Allah says and remember, Allah was favor upon you when you were enemies, and then he united you, he rated your heart. And so by your grace, by His grace, you became brothers.
And you were at the brink of a fiery pit, and he saved you from it.
Also, Allah subhanahu Alice's enamel Miura equa.
For US legal bein at a Hawaii calm. The believers are nothing but brothers.
So make peace between your brothers.
Also, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in many different a hadith
spoke about this brotherhood that exists among the Muslims. So for example, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
I will Muslim, a holy Muslim, the Muslim is the brother of every other Muslim, he should not
oppress him, he should not hand him over.
And then he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, whoever,
whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs. Whoever removes the troubles of his brother, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the day of judgment. And whoever covers up the faults of a Muslim, Allah will cover up his faults on the Day of Judgment. So all of this, along with other statements in the Quran, and the Sunnah are talking about this concept of Hawa of brotherhood,
among Muslims in general.
But
the brotherhood that we're going to talk about today
is a special kind of brotherhood.
That was established by the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam in El Medina.
And so this kind of brotherhood was more specific and entailed more rights
than this general brotherhood that we mentioned.
It's all we have to understand
that
when the mahadji rune they left from Mecca,
and they arrived in Medina, they had left everything back in
you know, their wealth, their property, and they are now in Medina with little to nothing.
At the same time, we know that the people of Mecca
they were businessmen.
They used to trade in marketplaces.
Whereas the people of El Medina were mainly farmers.
They're involved in agriculture.
So here you have the mahadji rune, who are not used to
they're not used to the economic situation in Medina.
And so you can see the trouble that they initially faced when they arrived in El Medina.
So to remove this difficulty,
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
he made it a point to establish brotherhood between the mahadji rune and the Tsar.
How did he do this? He paired them up. He took one muhajir and paired him up with one of the Ansara
making the two brothers
to the point where if one of them was to pass away, he would even inherit from him.
Just like blood brothers
and so this is what was known as a hot
Dana almajiri in one on Saad
the brotherhood that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam established between the mahadji rune and the Asan
now let's mention some of the names
just to give us an idea of who the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam peered up. So you had Abu Bakr,
Siddiq radula one who was paired up with hottie J Eden's, who hate
And you had a rumor imminent, Bob are the one who is paired up with or to ban idiomatic.
Verbal Rudy the ignorant genre
was made the brother of sad in Wuhan.
bottlehead in the dilla was made the brother of cab up Malik
salaried Ibn Zayd
was made the brother of obey it been cab.
Musa ibn Romain was made the brother of Abu Ayoub LM sorry
Ammar Ibn Yasser was made the brother of who they fed it nearly a man.
Abdurrahman, even if was made the brother of sad, even Arabia and Selma and Pharisee was made the brother of Abu Dhabi, probably Allah Who.
Now when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made these ties of brotherhood
the unsought took it seriously.
And so they treated their new brothers, like
how they would treat their blood brothers. In fact, they treated them even more
than how some of us would treat our own blood brothers.
And so it wasn't mere lip service.
But rather, they took it seriously. And immediately, they put that brotherhood interaction.
An example of this
was
the brotherhood between
Abdul Rahman Ibn
and sad in Arabia.
And so I'm traditionally been
one of them who had your own.
He was also one of the 10 who was promised Jana by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
So he stayed with this Ansari sad, even Robbie.
Understand even our photographer who and he says
when we came to El Medina as immigrants,
Allah's Messenger established a bond of brotherhood between me and sad in Arabia.
Saudi Arabia said to me,
he said to me, I'm the Rahman I am the richest among the Assad.
So let me give you half of my wealth.
I also have two wines.
Look at which one is more desirable to you.
I'll divorce her and give her to you to marry.
So after a fairly big mouth,
he said to his brother sad.
He said BarakAllahu Lika
Lika Malik. He said, may Allah bless you, in your wealth in your family. He said, however, I am not in need of any of that.
Instead, is there a marketplace
where people trade people do business?
In another narration, it says, Do Leonie Hannah Sook. Show me where the marketplace is.
And so, say hi to he said yes, there is the marketplace of alkaline mocha. We mentioned previously that in the center of El Medina, you had the Jewish tribe of the new plane Orca. And they used to deal with gold.
So I'm the rationale even if he went to the market the following day.
And he bought some dried buttermilk and butter.
And then he continued going there
regularly.
Sometime later,
one day, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam meets happens to meet under a man even health
and he finds on his face some some yellow
Color
and basically this saffron color.
It was what women would use as makeup.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, Assam
under a man did you get married?
And so under her living outside, yes. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked him, Who did you marry? And so he said, one of the unsought
So, the Prophet SAW Selim asked, How much did you pay her? He said, I gave her a gold piece equal in weight to a date see.
The point here is, we can see that under a man even if quickly became, became rich,
after he had nothing.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then said to him, and this hadith is found in Sahih al Bukhari, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam they then said to him,
oh Lim, when Odisha
hold a feast have a Molina even if with one shoot.
So we can see
the great extent and the lengths to which
the unsought went to,
in treating
these brothers who the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the one who made them, who made them brothers.
They would also advise one another, these brothers would also advise one another.
An example of this was the brotherhood between Selma and Pharisee and
Abu adata.
Now, Selma, Al Pharisee, as we all know,
was not from Mecca.
So he wasn't from the mahadji rune in that sense,
but nonetheless, he was not from Medina either.
As we all know, salamander, Pharisee
left his home in Persia.
And we mentioned his story previously.
And so, he arrived in Medina in search of the Prophet sallallahu Ali himself.
And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam made him a brother from the outside, and he was Abu Dhabi or the Allahu Akbar.
So in Sahih, Al Bukhari, Juan de
Selma and paid a visit to Edward dadada.
And when he came, he found his wife,
a daughter that
and he found her
not in the best shape. She wasn't dressed nicely.
She wasn't, you know, in a very tidy state. And this was before the Ayat of hijab had been revealed.
So he saw her in the state.
And so he asked her why she was in this state.
So she replied,
Your brother abou daughter that has no interest
in the luxuries of the dunya.
So
it was soon after this that a blood donor that returns home.
And so he came, he prepared a meal for his brother cinnamon Pharisee and he asked him to eat
so
Salma and asked him, to join him, and with him, but Abu Dhabi that replied, I am fasting.
So Salman said to him,
I am not going to eat unless you eat with me.
And so a boy Dada, he broke his fast and he ate with Selma.
Then, when it was night
a Buddha wanted to get up to pray to emulate.
And so Sal man told him no.
Right now it's time to sleep. And so we thought that he slept.
After some time he got up again. But cell man told him no go back to sleep.
Then,
later on in the night,
in the last hours of the night, Selma told
them to get up and both of them they prayed pm LA
and then after that sell man told his brother Edward Delta
he said to him
in Europe bigger I'll call
that your Lord has a right over you were in the NFC Cali to Hong Kong and yourself also has a right over you were in nearly Alec Alec
and your family also has a right over you
equally lady have been hungry.
So give everyone who has a right upon you give them their directs.
And so we've got a Buddha or the Allah who had the following morning, he went to Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he told him what had happened.
complaining
to rasool Allah, Allahu alayhi wa sallam that look, you know?
I wanted to fast and he made me he made me break my fast.
I wanted to prickly I'm a Laila and he made me sleep.
And so when
the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam heard the story, he said to Abu Dhabi that sadhaka Selma,
Selma spoke the truth.
Salman spoke the truth and that's why we have a hadith in the exact words of Sal man, where he said,
you know, your Lord has a right over you your family has a right over you give everyone their due rights. We have a hadith in the same words from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Now, where would Salman have learned that from? We know that Salamandre the Allahu Han
had learned a lot in his journey from the People of the Scripture. So he was a person of knowledge. The point here is
that we see how
these brothers would also advise one another.
And so these two examples are only two of many.
But in general,
we see that the unsolved were very cooperative
with them * rune. And likewise, the mahadji rune were cooperative with the ensemble.
in Sahih, Al Bukhari Abu Huraira, Viola Hoolahan, he narrates
the unsought came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said to him, we want you to divide the deep palm trees between us and them.
Ya rasool Allah,
we own all of these farms and date palm trees,
the mohajir own they have nothing, we want you to divide it between us and them.
We take half give them the other half. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said no.
So the Ansara they said,
Fine.
How about
if we let them to do the work in the farms?
Let them do the labor work.
And then they will share the crops and the dates with us.
And so the mahadji rune, they said we accept this.
However, although the agreement was that the module would do half of the work.
That did not happen and the unsolved were the ones who ended up doing most of the work.
But still,
they divided it equally. So the MaHA Joon then came complaining to the prophets of Allah who it was, after seeing that the unserer were doing most of the work. And that was natural, because they are the ones who know
what to do.
In the fields, they are the farmers not the will hydro.
So don't hide your own cane complaining to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam saying all Messenger of Allah, we have never seen people like this.
They come for us when we are poor.
And they are generous when they are well off
and they work in the farms, and then they split their harvest with us.
Again, these are only a few glimpses
of
the treatment that the unsought gave to the module.
And that's why Allah subhanho wa Taala praised them in the Quran the way he did.
So in total Hashem Allah Subhan Allah Allah says, in verses that will be recited until until the Day of Judgment
when Lady in a terrible word would doubt or will email
Allah here describes the unsought
and look at these five characteristics that Allah mentions. When Latina Tebow Daraa will Eman and will copy him. As for those who had settled in the city, meaning el Medina and embraced Eman before meaning before the arrival of the Maharaja, we know that the unsought accepted Islam before the muhajir arrived by by two years at least
those who have settled in the city and embraced Eman before the mohajir arrived, meaning they, they paved the way for them, they had Medina ready for them.
Number two,
you hit bounnam and Hajer or LA
they love whoever immigrates to them.
Not that they feel that these people are a burden on them.
No,
they love those who emigrate to them. Number three,
while your G do not feel so do you him had a minute or two.
Never having any desire in their hearts for whatever of the gains is given to them who had your own
anything that is given to them or had your own by the prophets of salaam or by anyone else they don't desire it. They're happy that they are receiving
number for
what you see Runa Allah and fusi him while Oh Can it be him Kasasa
they give the mahadji rune preference over themselves, even though they may be more in need.
This concept of ethos,
giving preference to others when you are the one who is more in need.
This is one of the most unique characteristics of the on site and Allah mentions in this area.
And there was even an incident where
there was a guest that had arrived.
And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam did not have anything to host him with. So he sent him to one of the sock
and even the answer this Ansari he didn't have much to offer.
So when it became right,
he put the four he put the foot forward and he turned off the lamps. And he sat there with him to make it seem as if he was eating with them with his guests but he wasn't eating with him because the food was too too little.
So, this is an example of what you see Runa Allah and fusi one oh can be him Kasasa they give preference to others when they are themselves in need.
And then the fifth point that Allah mentions,
well, now you can show Hanif See, so your home will mostly grown and whoever is saved from the greediness, the selfishness of their own souls, it is they who are truly successful. Look at how Allah prays without a doubt the unsought they were saved from this stinginess from this greediness that other people they have.
And so this bond of brotherhood
as we mentioned, it was in pairs between the mahadji rune and the ensemble
and this lasted until the situation of the mahadji rune improved
it's a once their conditions have improved the brotherhood
that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had established between 101 on sorry, it became dissolved.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam cancelled it. However, the general brotherhood of the Ummah remain
and so the mohajir rule
Wouldn't and the answer would still be supportive of one another
in the general sense.
And so for example, advising would continue advising one another, supporting one another.
When one of them is in need, the other one would be their, et cetera. But then the specific rulings that were specific to them, like as we mentioned inheritance, where if one of them was to pass away, the other would inherit this became canceled, as Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned in surah, Allah and
will Edina mn member had to wear hijab which I had no comfort with that you can include and those who later believed and then migrated and then fought alongside you, they are also with you what all are hammy bow to whom I will be bounding, 50 tabula, but only blood relations, only blood relatives are now entitled to inherit from one another as ordained by Allah, meaning as ordained by Allah in the verses of inheritance in Surah Nisa.
So, this brotherhood, this specific kind of brotherhood between the modulo and the on saw, it ended around
the time of the Battle of better
Some scholars say it was later after the Battle of
now, when Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was trying to establish an ummah based on Eman.
As we see, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was establishing a community here that would be connected with something and that was not blood relations. It was not along tribal lines, it was not along ethnic lines. It was not along you know, economic lines
or any other kind of alliance.
It was based on ima
that is what put them together.
So, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was trying to establish this, Allah subhanahu Attallah supported him by revealing several acts
asking Muslims
to break down your previous alliances to break down
your previous alliances. And this is something very, very important.
You cannot establish
ties of brotherhood
if you still are holding on to other ties and bonds
and so that's why Allah subhanahu wa Tada was clear about this. So let's look at some of these acts.
In surah, two tilbyr Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Yeah, you have Latina and Manu yeah to Turkey to bear icon or eco Anna come earlier in is the hub bull coup for Al Eema. Where may you get our home income for Hola, Erica humo volume
or you can believe do not take your father's and your brothers, meaning your blood fathers, your blood brothers as allies if they choose Cofer over email
and whoever among you does so and they are the volley moon. They are the wrongdoers and so look at how Allah subhanahu Attallah is now telling the Muslims
that you need to terminate the relationships of loyalty that you have with your families with your tribes as long as they have not followed you in Iman and Islam
in Surah, Tony Montana
Allah Subhana Allah Allah says
Yeah, are you here lady in ermine, would you do I do we? Well, I do welcome Elia to Kona lamb my wet dirty. Walker the cover will be manager ACOEM minute help you agree do not Rasool our ER come on
and took me Nobilia Europe become in quantum karate to jihad and FISA Lee will be to model Dotty to see Runa la him that he won't be met for you don't wanna Atlanta. Allah subhanahu Allah says you're all you who believe. Do not take my enemies and yours as allies, showing them affection even though they deny what has come to you of the truth. They drove the Messenger and yourselves out meaning they drove you out of Mecca. Simply because you believed
in Allah your Lord.
If you truly immigrated, to fight in my cars and seek My pleasure, then do not take them as allies.
Disclosing secrets of the believers to the mushrik who and out of affection for them. When I know best, whatever you conceal, and whatever you reveal, then Allah subhanho wa Taala says, well me after Al hoomin call for Kadir Bala sola Seville, whoever does that among you, then he is truly strayed from the right way.
Then after that Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
E is the fulcrum your kulula. Darrin wire, the SU two electron ad at home, well CNET on the soup, well what do we look for?
If they gain the upper hand over you?
They would be open enemies to you. They're not going to. They're no longer going to show you any affection and love and say you know we are your brothers. We are your tribesmen. If they gain the upper hand over you, they will be open enemies to you unleashing their hands and their tongues to harm you and wishing that you disbelieve.
Then Allah subhanho wa Taala says Lenten Falcom AHA Muqaam wala Allah to come here woman la piano T of Sylvania come, Allahu be Mata I'm alone. Number three, Neither your relatives, nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Judgment, Allah will decide between all of you, for Allah is all seeing of what you do.
And so we can see here
that
the Muslims had new rules to follow
the former alliances with fellow tribesmen needed to end if we're going to move forward, we need to cut those alliances.
And so, this was about the relationship
of the Muslim
and his non Muslim brethren, you know, his blood relations, if they remained upon Cooper
and did not become Muslims. Then that relationship had to end.
And meanwhile, what was the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam doing in Medina, he was
he was establishing a new kind of brotherhood that was not based on
tribal lines. It was not based on blood
but rather based on Eman.
But we also notice
that
this was not just the relationship between the Muslim and his non Muslim relatives, but also it was also more general. So there were several Acts
where Allah subhanahu Attallah mentions the relationship between the Muslims and
keytab.
This is because in Medina, there were
100 keytab. The people of the book The Jews, so the Arabs of Medina, the unsought, they had this ongoing relationship
with the Jews.
This neighborly relationship.
It was also based on you know,
economic
benefits
and it was also based on certain political or military benefits. So Allah subhanahu Attallah revealed he had to deal with this issue too.
And so for example, what's happening with Allah says, in Surah, to marry the UN Latina woman who Latin Dhulia who they want Nosara Alia
bow boom Elia Oba.
worming Yetta Willa home incomes are in the homemaker.
Oh, you will believe.
Take neither the Jews nor the Christians as allies. They are allies to one another. Whoever does that among you,
whoever takes them as allies, then he is one of them.
Also Allah subhanahu Allah says, in Surah Al Imran yeah you already know, Manu into Hebrew VarioCam Mina Lydia Otto kita by euro to Kamala, you do compare that E Manickam. Caffeine. Or you will believe
if you were to obey a group
among those who were given a scripture that Jews and the Christians that they would definitely turn you back from Eman to cover.
So again, you can see here how the Muslims are being warned that if they follow the ways of the Jews and the Christians in Medina, they will become they will become disbelievers. So all of this teaches us
that
all loyalties
have to be cut off
whether it is blood relations or otherwise, any loyalties that we have that is not based on email they have to be cut off.
And now the only bond and the only alliance is the bond and the Alliance of Iman and and Islam.
But now, does that mean that we cut off these ties and now we wage war against all those other people No.
Those who are hostile to us we are hostile to them.
But those who are not, we treat them as they treat us as Allah subhanahu Italia tells us in that same surah in Torah.
But the point here is that
we have to understand the context and the situation at that time.
Here the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was establishing ties of brotherhood
between two brothers who have no blood relations. And at the same time, Allah was revealing at
telling these Muslims to cut off their ties with their blood brothers who did not follow them in EMA and Allah stresses this point. When he Sahara with Allah says in NEMA wali you Qumulo waters who will lead in and will let you know up Munna, salata will to tune as the Caterham Rocky Road.
Your only allies or Allah, His messenger and the fellow believers, those who established Allah and gives the cat with humility.
While Miyata one Lola What are Sula who will lead in Emmylou? For in his villa, he will Haribo
whoever
allied themselves with Allah, with His messenger and with the believers, that it is certainly
the haste of Allah, the party of Allah that will be victorious. So now a new community
has been established in Medina based on Eman and this new community is as Allah says here, Hizbollah they are the party of Allah.
As for the others, they are the party of Shaitan
and Allah subhanho wa Taala
he reminds the believers of this towards the end of
Sumitomo J. dilla. Sahara with Allah says Allah Teddy to Coleman.
Later do calming you mean una Villa he will yo will ask theory you were doing and then had the la hora Sula
while Oh, can that or whom el Ebina home Oh, why not home? Oh, as you run to home,
you will never find a people who truly believe in Allah and the Last Day.
You won't find a people who truly believe in Allah and the Last Day
allying themselves being loyal to those who go against Allah and His messenger.
Even if they are their fathers, their children, their brothers, or their extended family.
hula Iike Ketubot here Kuru behemoth Imana. What a year the homebuilt ocean mean when you defeat on Jannette integrity mentality * and how to holiday in a V Ha, probably Allahu Hanuman, one of
those believers. Allah has instilled Eman in their hearts and strengthen them with a spirit from him. He will enter them into Gardens under which rivers flow to stay there in forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with him. Hula ek Hizbollah
Allah in His Billahi Humann mostly cold, they are the party of Allah. And indeed, the party of Allah is bound to succeed.
So all of these if they show us
they show us how Allah subhanaw taala is forbidding the believers
from keeping those ties and those bonds with
their blood relations. That's it.
They have not followed you in Eman. So you have to sever those times.
As for the new
the new ties, been they are the the ties in the bonds of Eman that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was establishing in El Medina. And so this was about the second project of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam in El Medina, after his first project that he worked on, which was establishing the messenger.
And so among the lessons that we learn,
first of all,
the importance of establishing ties of brotherhood among themselves. So any group of people who
share something in common
and they have a common goal.
Any group of people who they share something in common and they have a common goal, they have to have a strong connection and a strong bond with one another, supporting one another, joining forces coming to the aid of one another as if they were one body. And that's exactly how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described us
when he said that the believers are like, like one body.
The believers are like one body In another Hadith, the believers are like one structure.
And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that believers are like one body, if one part of the body suffers the rest of the body response.
And so this is why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam immediately focused on establishing the ties of brotherhood
early on, in enmity, and it shows us the importance of doing so
among us today.
And so this is something that would continue until the day of judgment.
The second lesson that we learn
is that the ties of brotherhood
was a favor from Allah subhanho wa Tada. Allah subhana, Allah to Allah says, who will lead the a Yoda Kadena sorry
for dilute meaning?
Allah subhanahu Uttara addressing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, It is He Allah who supported you with His help, and with the believers.
Were LF Ebina Kulu be him.
And Allah is the one who brought their hearts together. Lo and Dr. Matthew are the Jimmy Han
left eBay in a coup de him while lacking Allah. Allah Sabina home, if you had Allah is addressing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam here saying if you O Muhammad had spent everything that is on earth, you could not have brought their hearts together.
But indeed Allah brought them together.
If you were to spend 1000s and millions in trying to bring them together, bringing the hearts together you cannot do so. So here Allah subhanahu Italia is telling him is that Allahu alayhi wa sallam that it was ALLAH who brought the hearts of the Muslims together.
And he couldn't have done it on on his own.
So this shows us
that
it was a fever and a bounty from Allah.
Again, look at the situation of the Arabs before Islam came to them.
They had so much hostility towards one another.
And we spoke about this previously, especially
the Assad in the people of El Medina, and Ozanam has ranch they were rival tribes always fighting one another.
And now, not only did Islam bring their hearts together,
but on top of that,
the mahadji rune, Allah brought their hearts together with the Ansara.
Again, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
he only was an aid, he was only a tool that was used to bring their hearts together, but he is not, he wasn't the reason as Allah reminds the Muslims here,
but rather, it was a favor from Allah subhanho wa taala.
The third lesson that we learn
is the importance of upholding the ties of brotherhood.
And so if Islam is not made, the greatest bond between Muslims, then all other bonds, the bonds of ethnicity, or tribalism, or nationalism, these bonds will tear us apart.
And our enemy will then exploit our disunity and our differences.
And then they will make us legitimate targets. And then we will not stand
to support one another, against our enemy. And this is exactly what our recent history has shown us.
That when Muslims started to unite along ethnic lines,
and nationalistic lines, that is when we became divided.
And our enemy saw this and divided us further. And now when our enemy attacks one group among us, we won't come to their aid.
And then on top of that, we have to keep in mind that shaitan is always trying to dis unite us.
And so, we need to be willing to be aware of this weapon of shaitan
as Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us, what Kali or EBRD Gulati here said, in a che Barna yinzer, who they know in a che Beiner Kana, little Insigne. I do when Marina Allah subhanahu Attallah says that shaitan tries to find ways of dividing, dividing us.
The fourth lesson that we learn is
an important concept in our belief.
And that is the leader of al Walla Walla.
Walla Walla, means to associate yourself
to be loyal to Allah, His messenger and the Muslims.
Al Bara is the opposite, to disassociate yourself from
anything other than Islam, anyone other than Allah and His messenger.
And so just like our shahada that we say, when we say La Ilaha,
we are negating, we're saying there is no God, this is nothing, this is negation. After we have done that, we do it that we affirm something.
There is no God, il Allah except Allah. So the first thing we do is we negate something and then after that, we affirm likewise. Likewise,
Allah subhanho wa Taala wants us to first break times, with cover
with the kuffar with the machinery cool and then affirm who our loyalty should be towards and this is known as Al Walla Walla
and the fruit of this what is the fruit of this? The fruit of this is
that
the Muslim who is distant from us
The Muslim who is far from us,
he is closer to us than the the disbeliever that may be close to us. What does that mean?
It means
that the believer even if he is from a different country, from a different ethnicity, a different color, a different continent, he is closer to you. Then a coffee or or a machine who happens to be close to you by your blood relations and that is the fruit of this concept of Allah Allah Allah. And Allah subhanahu Metalla pinch was a beautiful picture of that or,
you know, a picture in action.
And that was in the story of new Halle, his salah.
What did Mohali his Salam say?
When he sees his son drown?
This was after Allah had promised Mahalia Saranda, I will save you and your family
will know how to use Ramses that his son has drowned. He couldn't believe it. He thought that the Promise of Allah is true. That he will save me and my family. So no Hallahan Salam said Rob be in Abilene.
Oh Allah. My son is from my family.
So Allah responded back and said, ya know who in know who lays them in Lika or No, no, he's not from your family.
He is not from your family. If he dies as a calf here, he is not from your family.
Likewise, we see we see the same thing in Ibrahim alayhis salaam.
His father was a mushrik.
And we see that
in the lives of the companions, the Sahaba robiola as we will see, when they face off against one another, in the various battles in the Battle of Berta in the battle, could we find how their Eman led them
to not care about the fact that I'm gonna kill my own father or my own brother or my own son? Why because they are not from my family.
The fifth lesson that we learn is the status of the Tsar
and how much they did for the mahadji rune. It cannot be compared to anything that anyone else does. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
he gave testimony to their status and their virtue is a halal Buhari. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, None loves the unsolved except a believer
and none hates them except a hypocrite.
So Allah will love him who loves them, and Allah will hate those who hate them. In another Hadith, in Sahih al Bukhari
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that if the answer would were to take one path, were to go down one path, and the rest of the people were to go down another path,
I would follow the path of the ensemble.
In then he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, if it wasn't for the fact that I made hijra, then I would consider myself to be a member of the ensemble
among many of the virtues of the ensemble. Finally, the last lesson that we can mention,
is
the virtue of the mahadji rune. So if the Ansari did something great,
the mahadji rune also did something great.
And that was their attitude that they showed to the generosity of the ensemble. They were people who took advantage of their hosts, even though the ensemble giving everything to them. We see that in the attitude of entrepreneur and even health.
When his brother, the Ansari offered him half of his wealth and one of his wives he said, No, keep it with yourself.
And we see that in other examples as well.
In Sunil Aveda would,
and as Ben Malik robiola, who narrates the mahadji rune came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said yeah rasool Allah,
the Ansari, they have gone with all the rewards.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said no, so long as you pray to Allah for them,
so long as you are grateful to them, and you praise them.
And so this teaches us the importance of being grateful the importance of gratitude
You'd
too those who do as good.
So if we don't have anything to give back to them
then we are obliged to tank to tank them to be grateful to them
and to make dua for them.
And that's why we say just Cola, when someone does something good to us, but when we say such a phrase, we should say it not as a habit, but rather you know, we should actually intend it as a DUA.
What does JazakAllah Hira mean? It means, may Allah reward you with good and so what you're doing is you're actually making
so when someone does you good, return the favor by making dua for them.
And so wishing good for others is a part of being a Muslim. Of course, Allah deserves to be thanked the most, but as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, la yesh, kulula Melosh Coronas.
Whoever he has not tempt Allah, the One who does not tell people.
You are not grateful to Allah, if you are not grateful to people. And so these are among the lessons that we learned from this episode of the zero of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And so next week we'll move on to the remaining two projects that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam undertook upon his arrival in Medina. So hello, Nicola Melby Hambrick a chateau, a la ilaha illa and Estelle Furukawa to Lake wa salatu salam ala Nabina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi Jemaine was salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
