In our previous class last week, we touched upon
some of the precursors
leading up to the first revelation to come to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, thereby beginning his prophethood.
And so, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is now 40 years of age.
And he starts to go into seclusion
in the cave of Hira, which is in the outskirts of natca.
Worshiping Allah
in privacy, insecure seclusion, meditating over the creation of Allah.
And so he did this for several days, several nights on end,
he wouldn't come back home,
he would come back home when his food would finish. And so he would stockpile
take some more food back and go back into seclusion.
And so it was in these days and nights, that Gibreel Alayhis Salam came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with the revelation from Allah for the first time.
And this was precisely
the scholars mentioned it was precisely in the daytime
and on a Monday
and In which month
in the month
in the month of
when was the Quran revealed in the month of Ramadan in the month of Ramadan?
Now we have
the entire explanation of what happened
in that first revelation from Allah
in the hadith of eyeshot of the Walkman
which is found both in Bukhari and Muslim
and so in Sahih al Bukhari It is the third Hadith that Imam Al Bukhari
mentions in his very lengthy
book so here Buhari
and so this hadith
this hadith will go over from beginning to the end.
And to our isharo The Allahu anha. She says,
the beginning of the revelation to Allah's, Allah's Messenger was in the form of truthful dreams that he would see in his sleep.
He would not see a dream except that it came true, as clear as the morning light.
Meaning he would see a dream at night. And then the following morning.
He would see that thing happening right before his eyes what he saw in his dream, exactly as he saw it.
And we mentioned this last week, this was one of the precursors leading up to
the prophethood
by Aisha Radi Allahu Allah she then says.
Then he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was bestowed with the love for seclusion, going into seclusion.
She says he used to go into seclusion in the cave of Hira
and meditate worship for many nights before returning to his family. He is to take with him His provision, his food his drink for that retreat, and then come back to his wife Khadija are the Allahu anha and then again, would prepare his provisions for another similar retreat. So
He would constantly be going back and forth from the cave to his home. Until she says until the truth the hack descended upon him while he was in the cave of Shira.
And so she says, The angel came to him, meaning Gibreel Alayhis Salam came to him and said a Quran
and said it cannot read.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Martin, have you caught it?
I am not one who reads, I cannot read.
And so Djibouti and came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in different forms.
But only twice he came to Him in His original form. And this was one of those times.
Although the scholars differ exactly when he came, what they do mention is that he came to him only twice in his original form, and this was one of those times.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said,
in the same Hadith that has been narrated by Aisha Radi Allahu Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, The angel then grabbed me
and pressed me so hard, that I could not bear it anymore.
Then he released me, and again, asked me to read the Quran. So I said, No, because
I am not one who reads I cannot read.
So then he grabbed me again, and squeezed me a second time until I could not bear it anymore. And then he let me go. And again, he asked me to read.
But again, I replied, I am not one who reads I cannot read. Then he grabbed me for a third time and did the same thing. And then let me go and said, This time what did he say? This time he came with the words of Allah.
So on the third time, he came with the words of Allah. If Quran this Mira beacon lady have
read, In the name of your Lord, who has created
clinical insane I mean, I look who created man from a piece of cloth
ikura org Bukal chrome Read, read and your Lord is Ella Chrome, the most generous a lady Allah mobile column, the one who taught by the pen halaman In Santa melamine alum who taught men that which he knew not.
And so this was the very first revelation to come down from the Quran to the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam.
Now Aisha Radi Allahu Anhu she continues, then Allah's Messenger returned,
running back home with the first revelation and his heart beating heavily.
This was the first encounter between Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the angel Jubilee, rally salah.
And so, as we can see, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was terrified by this incident. And so he went back home
to her digital the Allahu anha.
And he said to her,
Zoom me loonies and middlee
Cover me up,
cover me up, wrap me up in garments. And so rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was shivering.
He was feeling cold. And so he asked his wife to wrap him up.
So She wrapped him up
until his fear resided.
And after that, he told her everything that had happened.
And so, naturally, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was terrified
by what had happened. But in addition to that,
in addition to that, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam knew that
these kinds of strange things
who are involved in these kinds of strange things,
the sorcerer's
magicians, people who deal with the devils
and so he had this natural dislike for anything that had anything to do with the jinn or evil spirits or witchcraft and magic.
So he was afraid that what he had encountered in the cave
was similar to what happens with witches and
sorcerers and magicians. So what did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam say to his wife Khadija, after mentioning the entire story, he said to her,
I fear for myself.
I'm afraid of what? That perhaps a jinn or a devil or a shaytaan has possessed me, and that that was what I had encountered.
So what was the response of Khadija or the Allahu anha? She replied, never.
Never, that's not possible.
She said by Allah.
Allah will never disgrace you.
You keep good relations with your relatives. You help the poor and the destitute. You serve your guests generously, and you assist those who are deserving, and those who are afflicted with calamities.
And so basically, what was she doing she was reassuring the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam that whatever he had encountered in the cave,
it was not evil.
And it was not a devil, it was not a thought.
And so basically, she was using
the
reputation of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his noble manners
to show that a person who has such noble manners, nothing of this kind can possibly happen to him.
The narration continues. Khadija Radi Allahu Anhu then took him
to her cousin.
What aka inoltre even acid even Abdullah
we mentioned this individual previously, what AKA a be no Feld was basically the cousin of Khadija or the Allahu anha. In some narrations, it mentioned that he was her uncle.
Who during the days of Jaya Helia, he had become a Christian.
And he would write the Scriptures with his with his own hands, in Hebrew.
So he would write
from the Injeel in Hebrew, as much as Allah had willed for him to write.
I shall know the Allahu Anhu. He says he was an old man, and he had already lost his eyesight. So he was very old
in age and so Khadija, the Allahu anha immediately took the Prophet salallahu Alaihe salam to
to work. Why? Because she knew that he was a scholar. He was knowledgeable.
And if anyone has an answer
to what on earth had happened in the cave, on that day, he would have the answer to it.
So the narration continues. Khadija Radi Allahu Anhu said to what aka my cousin listened to the story of your nephew. So what I asked my nephew, what have you seen?
So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam informed him of what he had seen.
So then what occur after hearing this, he said,
This is the same one who keeps the secrets whom Allah had sent to Musa Heidi salah.
What is he talking about?
He's talking about Djibouti Larissa.
And so he told the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that the one who came to you and you met and who did this to you.
He was the angel who was also sent to Musa alayhis salam.
He goes on to say,
I wish I were young.
I wish our young
and I could live up to the time when your people will drive you out.
So he knows that he's very old in age now. And so he's gonna pass away.
But he also knows
that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has become a prophet of Allah.
And he's now going to begin a mission.
And this mission
is going to be met with opposition.
He knows all of this from the scriptures, and from the lives of the previous prophets and the missionaries.
So this one he told the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
So, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam heard this from him. And immediately he asked him,
will the really drive me out? He couldn't imagine it.
Why on earth are they? Are they going to drive me out of my city? Or my town?
Why on earth? Are they going to have this enmity towards me? Why are they going to oppose me?
The Prophet sallallahu wasallam obviously has no clue what's going to happen with him.
But what is giving him this information?
So, Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked, are they going to really do that? So what occurred replied,
anyone who came with something similar to what you have brought, was treated with hostility.
And if I shall remain alive until the day when you are driven out by your people, then I will surely support you strongly.
I showed earlier along with Anna she continues, she says, but after a few days had passed, what aka had passed away he had died. And the divine revelation was also paused for a while.
So this is the complete Hadith, the narration of actual Radi Allahu Anhu.
So this was a story of the first revelation coming to the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam,
and how Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at that age of 40. He became
a prophet of Allah subhana, who had to add it in fact, he became the last and final prophet
of Allah subhanho wa taala.
And so we have several points that we want to take from the story, several lessons that we want to
mention.
The first
lesson that we learned from the story is
the significance of seeing truthful, the dreams,
the significance of seeing truthful dreams, we mentioned, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would see
would see a dream at night, and it would happen exactly as he saw it in the morning.
What's the wisdom behind that?
What was the wisdom behind that, and this continued for six months until this day.
And so the wisdom behind that perhaps, was
that Allah subhanho wa Taala was preparing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for this day.
And so imagine that he did not have something like this to prepare him. And all of a sudden out of nowhere, this angel comes to him and
he tells him to read and everything that was mentioned in the story.
And so the dreams were preparing him for that day.
And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that
righteous dreams, wrote your Salah.
Jews own men, sit our orbera You know, Jews and meaning
that
the righteous and the good dream is
one of 46 parts of prophethood.
And later on, we will talk about the various kinds of revelation that come down to the prophets.
And one of them is the dream.
The second lesson that we learn
is the significance of going into seclusion and worship.
And so, we learned that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would go into seclusion
in the cave of Hira, where he would meditate and reflect and ponder over Allah's creation and word worship Allah continuously for many days
on end, and so once again, there is a wisdom behind that. Allah subhanahu Muttahida was preparing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for the state.
And so
when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam would go into seclusion. He would be
Putting the dunya behind him
he will be putting
worldly matters behind him.
And so he's coming now with an empty heart,
an empty heart, and a clear mind, nothing to worry him.
And so his heart, his mind and his soul, are now ready to receive the revelation.
free of any worldly attachments. And this is important for the prophets and the messengers of Allah.
Likewise,
seeking knowledge of the DEA, if you want to be successful in seeking knowledge of Islam, and you want to tread the path of a student of knowledge, you need to empty your heart of
anything that is going to come in between your heart and that knowledge.
And so you need to empty out your heart of worldly matters that are going to bother you and distract you from seeking knowledge likewise, and even more importantly, the prophethood there cannot be anything that is distracting the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from his mission.
And we spoke about this last week
of how Allah subhanho wa Taala was training the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, by him going into seclusion. Allah was training him
and so
contemplating and reflecting in seclusion and privacy, it purifies the heart.
Thirdly
the significance of starting with the words it crop. What is the significance behind that?
Why did Allah subhanaw taala begin with these words and not any other words?
Rasulo Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not know how to read or write. And we already spoke about this previously. He was only
he was unlettered
and he came from a people who were also
mean as Allah mentions in the Quran.
They were not a people who would read and write.
So why would Allah begin with Accra?
If the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam does not know how to read or write.
And so the answer to that is that Allah subhanahu Attallah wanted the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
to be illiterate
to be unlettered,
it was basically part of Allah's plan.
To be a proof that this book could not have been authored by him.
And that is exactly what I said. What Allah subhana wa Tada says,
in Surah tilahun Kabuto, Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
We're not contented to mil Kabili human Kitab him when I hope to be aminika either Lortab Elmo Caprino
that you cannot read Oh, Mohamed, you cannot read any writing.
Before this revelation, you didn't know how to read, nor could you write at all with your right hand.
Otherwise the people a false would would have been suspicious meaning
if you didn't know how to read or write.
And you came with this book,
they would have said this is a man who is educated, he knows how to read and write. He is
He is making up and fabricating a book.
So, again, back to the question.
Why would Allah subhanahu Attallah command the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
with this first command of Accra
we see that for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
it crop meant recite.
It didn't mean read from a book. Here is a book. It is in writing. I want you to read it not.
And so in the Arabic language it means read.
Read, writing
But it also means recite.
So for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam if cross meant, recite the words of ALLAH, that are now going to be dictated to you.
And this is the beginning.
Whatever you hear of the words of ALLAH being recited to you recite after
recite
the words of Allah.
So this is where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam haobo for his ummah.
For the honor of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam it Quran means
to read, and to learn how to read
and write.
And so Allah subhanahu Attallah says that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not learn any scripture, before the Quran, and he didn't have the ability to read and write.
So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was unlettered?
Why would the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam have to now go and learn how to read and write? It serves no purpose for the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam. Right.
It serves no purpose for him. But for us it does.
For us it does. It is a command for the OMA
to learn how to read and write, to educate ourselves, and so reading is our key to knowledge.
Reading is our key to knowledge. Was that the case for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
know why.
His key to knowledge was
Jibreel Hadees.
His key to knowledge was being taught by Allah directly.
So he didn't have to learn how to read and write. And so
there is nothing that books would offer. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
when he was receiving the knowledge directly from Allah. So if Croat means recite, in his case, but for us, it means read. And so we are an owner of knowledge. We are an owner of knowledge.
And if we were to read our history, we would see how
the Arabs were
an unlettered society illiterate, and look at what they ended up becoming.
In just a generation or two,
they rule the world.
And look at the scholar is that the Muslim world produced over the centuries.
All of this shows us that we did become an owner of knowledge. And so we took this command of Allah literally
And seriously, to become an owner of knowledge. But unfortunately,
the tides have turned.
And today our situation is different.
And so we are lagging behind in our duty.
And so if we are lagging behind, we should at least make sure that
our children are different.
And so we should make it we should make it a priority for us to make sure that our children
and the next generation
bring us back to the early days of Islam
and become an owner of knowledge. So this is the third lesson, the fourth lesson.
The significance of how Jabril area histogram came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And the way he grabbed him
and squeezed him
and shook him
and then told him to read
what is the significance of this? Why did Allah subhanho wa Taala decree this for the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam.
The wisdom behind this
is
to show the seriousness of the matter
and how
it's no late thing
for the words of ALLAH
to come to him. It's not something small. It's not something like, but rather, as Allah leader describes.
How does Allah describe his words?
In St. Louis Alika, Colin tequila,
we are going to
give you a very heavy word,
a very heavy word. And so the whole incident
it showed us
that Allah subhanho data once the Prophet said, Allahu Allah will come to know that this is something serious.
It's not that Gibreel Ali Hassan will come to him on the first day, very soft and greet him and say, you know, I'm
the angel of Allah, and I'm bringing you the Quran. And he's all relaxed, no.
He needs to make him realize the seriousness of the matter. Also, it showed us
how the Quran was not something made up by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam that was the result of some
inner thoughts.
And so those who accuse, you know, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, salam, or fabricate in the Quran, you know, that this, these are not the words of ALLAH, no angel came to him.
One of the things that they say is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went on this meditation.
And when you meditate like that, you start having thoughts, and you start speaking to yourself. And then he came, and he started, you know, speaking, you know, these thoughts that he made up to his people.
And so this incident showed us that no,
two source of the Quran is external.
And to emphasize this point, the angel Jibreel how to use some took him
and squeezed him three times
and ordered him to recite,
to make him realize that
this is no illusion,
to also make him realize this is no illusion. This is not a dream. This is real.
These are not some inner thoughts that you are having.
You're not a crazy person.
Crazy people. They say that things happen to them that are not real, imaginary.
And so to emphasize this point, he took him, he squeezed him to make him realize that this is real.
This is not some kind of imagination or illusion.
Also, the fact that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was so afraid afterwards. It shows us that it was something that he had not planned for.
It's not something that he planned for. It wasn't something that he was looking forward to.
And so this is the significance of Djibouti. Rouhani said I'm coming to him in this way.
The fifth point is the positive effect of having a righteous and strong willed wife.
When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
went rushing to Khadija Radi Allahu Allah, and told her of what had happened
and then told her that he was afraid
for himself.
What was her reaction?
What was the reaction of Khadija the Allahu Allah?
She wasn't struck with fear, she did not feel freakout,
right?
Instead, she replied, never.
By Allah, this will never happen to you. No evil will touch no devil or demon will come to you. And she went on to reassure him, that Allah will never disgrace you.
You do all of these things, you have the best of manners,
you care for others, and a person who cares for others. Allah subhana, who has data will never disgrace him in this way.
And so she stood by his side and reassured him that everything was going to be fine, trying to calm him down, and also not freaking out herself.
Not only that,
but she also went the extra mile. And what did she do?
After reassuring the prophets, Allah when it was on, she didn't just sit there and say
Okay, everything's gonna be fine. And let's just wait to see what happens no. Immediately she took him to
to her cousin,
who she knew was a knowledgeable man who would perhaps give us
some answers to what has happened.
And so all of this shows us the importance of having a strong,
righteous wife who will support you, especially
for one who is on the mission of spreading the deen of Islam. And giving Dawa
as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, A dunya Kulu her Matera or Jairo Mata dunya. Amara to Salah that the entire Dunya is a temporary enjoyment.
And the best temporary enjoyment of the dunya is a righteous way.
The next
lesson
is the prediction
that was mentioned by what are called EB Nofal.
What did he say? After
telling the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you have now become a prophet. This is the same angel that came to Musa Ali Salaam. You are now going to start on this mission. What did he say after that? He said, You're going to be opposed.
You're going to be met with hostility with enmity.
And your people are going to drive you out.
And then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked him, Are they going to really do that? And so he said, of course, anyone who came with anything similar to what you have come with, was treated with hostility.
And if I shall remain alive, until the day that you are driven out, I will surely support you.
And so what I thought was a wise man
who studied history.
And he knew exactly what happens.
When truth meets falsehood,
he knew exactly what happens. He knew that even though Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was admired by his people remember these to hold him in high regard.
And until
he starts to call them to Islam.
He was held in high regard by his people as being a normal man.
One who has the best of manners. They praised him
as being the best among them,
until he started to call them to slap
it's a what are called EB Nofal.
He basically what he had said, Did it turn out to be true?
Yes.
It's all these words of what aka we're an early warning to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for what was to come ahead of him that this path is not going to be easy.
And so imagine these are the first words that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is hearing after learning that he has become a prophet of Allah.
So what we learned from this is that learning about the difficulty of the path
before taking the path is important.
Learning about how difficult the path ahead of us is, is important before starting to tread that path.
Just like we do in,
you know, our day to day lives.
The first thing we do when we leave home,
and we want to go to we want to go to work or school. And we're driving.
We want to know
the path ahead of us the road. We want, we turn our we turn on our GPS and we check what is the best way to get there?
How difficult is my commute going to be today?
Am I going to be met with traffic maybe there's an accident up ahead.
So you plan your way.
So likewise, it's extremely important for us to learn about the difficulty of the path before taking it
and that is
why Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions
so many stories of the prophets
in the Quran, who were dealt with in a similar way.
Why did Allah subhanho wa Taala mention the Stories of the Prophets
and how they were opposed by their people and how they were driven out of their homes. So that the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam learns a lesson from that,
that your path that you are on is no different
than their path.
You're going to be met with the same thing. And so the purpose of that is to make one cautious that okay, I need to be cautious and I need to be patient.
I need to be patient this path requires patience.
And so for example, Allah subhanho wa Taala says about the prophets and messengers
will call the lady in a cough are all Euro selenium lucre Jenna Coleman Urbina L. Letter who do not female Latina
the messenger is the disbelievers they threatened their messengers and they said we will certainly expel you from our land until you return to our religion for Oh ha Elohim Rob boom land holy cannoli mean. So Allah revealed to them to the messengers, we will surely destroy the lolly moon the wrongdoers.
Now, you shout out the Allah who didn't hurt. She ended the Hadith
by mentioning that
the revolution
stopped and paused for a while. That was the very last thing that she mentioned in the Hadith. She said that after worker passed away, the revolution paused for a while. And so the scholars differed over how long this pause lasted for.
Some mentioned that it was six months.
Others mentioned that it was 40 days.
And some mentioned that it was only a few days.
Regardless, it was
a pause that was very lengthy for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And so the wisdom behind this, you know, Why did Allah subhana wa Tada all of a sudden pause the revelation.
He experiences this for the first time Gibreel Allah He Hassan comes to him. And it was a very frightening incident for him.
And Allah did not send Gibreel Ali Salam again the next day.
Or soon after, why?
Because
this pause was needed for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to recollect himself
to allow it to sink in,
that he has indeed become a prophet of Allah.
You require some time now.
Also,
now that he understands that he is a prophet of Allah,
and he's going to start this mission.
He now will look forward to the next revelation.
And so that is exactly what happened.
During this pause, this lengthy pause, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
He became saddened.
So he was in much grief and pain.
He thought,
is that it? No more.
And so, to the point, in some narrations, there are some narrators that mentioned
that he would go on top of some of the mountains and Mecca
to throw himself over.
And so basically, he had contemplated suicide. That's how much pain he was in.
And so these narrations mentioned that Gibreel Addison would then appear to him and prevent him and say, You are definitely the Messenger of Allah.
So as if he was in doubt, because the revelation stopped. So now he was thinking,
okay, maybe it was a demon or a devil that had possessed me
because there's no revolution after this.
So because of that pain that he was in, he would contemplate suicide. Now.
These narrations this call is different, some said that these narrations are authentic. In fact, one of them is even mentioned in Sahil Bihari.
But many other scholars mentioned that none of these narrations are authentic and so this entire story is not true.
And they mentioned
that these are some of the exaggerations that were
that were that somehow made their way into the books of Hadith.
And they mentioned how it is not possible for
the prophets and the messengers of Allah to think about committing major sins.
The prophets and the messengers of Allah
are protected by ALLAH from committing major sins. This is a fact. They may commit minor sins, mistakes, errors,
but they will never commit major sales. And suicide, as we all know, is a major sin.
Nonetheless,
the
revelation paused.
For however long it paused for, as we, as we said,
the scholars deferred over that period of time, how long was it?
But it was long for the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam
until it finally ended, until it finally ended. How did it end?
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned himself.
And so in the very next Hadith, collected by Imam Al Bukhari, Hadith number four in Sahara Buhari.
This is the hadith of jab at bin Abdullah on Saudi Arabia long run he narrates, while he was talking about the period of pause in the revolution. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, while I was walking, so this is during this pause.
He says, while I was walking, all of a sudden, I heard a voice from the sky.
And so I looked up. And I saw the same angel who had visited me in the cave of Hira, sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I became frightened.
I became frightened from him. And I ran home and I said, wrapped me in blankets.
And then Allah revealed the following. Yeah, a un with the theory.
Oh, you who are covered up in, in garments, comfort under, stand and worn what up Becca Kabir
and revere your LORD with the better if Allah here and purify your garments, what route is a federal and shun the idols
and so after that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in the same Hadith, after this, the revelation started to come strongly, frequently and regularly.
So what we learned from this is
that this pause, has now ended.
And with the first ayat of surah, tomada, fear
and as we will learn next week, also the first ayat of surah, to Muslim men.
With these I add, the revolution now continues, and it starts coming frequently.
One after the other.
Now, we will conclude
with the different forms of the revelation that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would receive.
And so Abraham Russian hello to Hannah, the famous student of Shiva Islam, Ibn Taymiyyah. He mentions these different forms of the revelation in his famous book that dilemma.
And so he mentioned the different kinds of the revelation that would come to the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam, the different ways in which the revelation would come to him.
So he mentioned that the first of these is the true dream,
the true dream. And so we already spoke about this for six months before receiving the revelation, Masuda he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to frequently see dreams. So he would see a dream at night, and he would see the fulfillment of the dream during the daytime, and this lasted for six months.
However, the scholars say that
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never received revelation
while being asleep.
The ye of the Quran came to him while he was awakened every time
however, we do know that previous
prophets, they did receive the orders of Allah while asleep in their dreams.
What is one example of that?
Which Prophet
Yusuf Ali Salam,
also who else?
Ibrahim alayhis salam.
And it's mentioned in the Quran.
He came to his son is married and he said to him, I see in a dream that I have two sacrificio
the second form of the revelation is when the angel Jibreel rally Islam would come to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and cast through the revelation into his heart, without him seeing him.
Without the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam seeing Gibreel is
an example of this.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that the noble spirit meaning Gibreel, revealed to my heart.
So he saying, he put it in my heart, I did not see him but he put it in my heart. And he mentioned the Hadith, that no soul will perish until it exhausts its due course. So fear Allah and gently request from him. Never get so impatient for not receiving the risk that you turn to the disobedience of Allah. What is with Allah can never be acquired except through obedience to
the third form of the revelation is when the angel Jibreel hottie has Salam speaks to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and comes to him in human form.
So the angels, they have this ability to change forms, to transform from one
form to another.
And so we all know that the angels were created from what?
From light.
But Allah gave him that ability to change forms.
So
sometimes Gibreel would come to the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam in the form of a human being.
And so an example of this is what
the famous Hadith known as the hadith of Gibreel Why is it known as the hadith of Gibreel? Because Jabri, Ravi Salam came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, while he was with his companions. He came to him in the form of a man.
And all of them saw him but none of them knew who he was,
is the famous hadith of Gibreel ITSM when he came, and he taught,
he taught them. What is Islam, the five pillars? What is Eman? The Six Pillars of Eman, what is it? SN
et cetera.
And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam saw him and he knew who he was.
He knew who he was, but the companions did not know. So at the end of the Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked to remodel the Allahu Anhu Do you know who that was? So he said, Allah and His Messenger noticed. And so he said, the prophets of salaam said that was Gibreel he came to teach you your religion.
The fourth form of the revolution is when it came to the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam as the ringing of a bell,
Sol Sinatra juris.
And this was the most difficult one to bear.
Because the angel used to
seize the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and make him sweat even on the coldest of days.
And so Jibreel Allah Islam would descend upon the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam making him feel his weight.
And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would hear a voice as if it is a ringing bell. And this could possibly be the vibrations
of the wings of Gibreel Harris.
And so there is a Hadith that says
that when Allah reveals his command,
the angels get so much sugar from that, that they start to shake their wings.
And the sound of the moving of their wings is like dragging a chain over a rock bed.
So this could be the explanation of this ringing of a bell, that the Prophet salallahu Alaihe
Salam would experience.
Also, as we said,
it will become very heavy.
And so if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was riding on a camel, and the revelation would come to him,
the camel will be forced to kneel down because of the weight because of the pressure.
In fact, one of the companions, they did inheritor of the Allahu, and he says,
that once I felt the weight of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam of his knee, so his knee was on my thigh.
And the revelation had come to him.
And I felt as if my thigh was about to crush because of the weight.
And so, what is the explanation of this wait, it is what we mentioned earlier, in Sanuki, Alagar, colons are things
that we are going to give you, we're going to reveal to you a very heavy word. And so the words of Allah are not liked. The words of Allah are mighty and heavy.
The fifth form in which the revelation would come to him is when he would see the angel in his original created for
and so this only happened twice, as we mentioned.
And it's mentioned in surah, to Nigel, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, well Nakamura, who has Latin aura
in the Sidra till winter
and he certainly saw that angel descend a second time.
Meaning
that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam already saw Djibouti Raisa in His original form previously. And now this is the second time what is the second time referring to in the Sidra Tillman Taha
at the launch tree
of the most extreme limit in the seventh heaven. When was that?
During the marriage,
so when the Prophet salallahu Ali also went up to the heavens.
And so this was one of the times that the prophets of salaam saw Gibreel Allison in His original form, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned
that when he had seen him in his original form, his wings would cover the entire horizon.
So imagine you are in the middle of a desert, and you cannot see anything for the furthest distance.
All you could see is the entire horizon, the sky and everything is just covered with his wings.
The sixth and final form of the revelation
that would come to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
was the direct speech of Allah
without any mediator without any
intermediate between him and Allah.
And so this happened to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, on that night of Surat when we are Raj.
And this happened to other prophets as well, like
Musa hazera As Allah says, What can lemma Allah who set a cleaner and Allah spoke to Musa with direct speech, and that was when he went to mount to recite.
So when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went up
to the heavens,
and he went to the furthest limit,
he received
instructions for what?
One of the greatest pillars of Islam, Salah
and initially it was how many
50
and then he came back down and met Musa alayhis salam, Musa alayhis salam said, your ummah will not be able to tolerate it.
Go back to Europe, and ask him for a concession.
So what does this indicate? Mousavi. Sam is telling him go back to Allah and ask him for a concession.
It obviously means that the prophets of Allahu alayhi wa sallam was speaking to Allah directly.
So he went back to Allah and ask them to
lower it until it
went down to until it went down to five.
So these are the three
Various forms of the Revelation the way that would come down to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
And so with that we come to the end of
what we wanted to discuss tonight, and inshallah hotel and next week we'll move on to
what happens next. What happens next?
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam now receives more revelation.
The first few Aya Tsutomu deaths and also sewer tourism.
What do these area tell him?
Well, what are the instructions that he he has been given?
Also, what should he do next?
How should he proceed? So this is what we're going to go into next week in sha Allah to Allah Subhana Allah hum OB Hambrick ash how to Allah Allah Allah illa Anta still Fuuka were to relay Cassandra Allahumma salli ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi Ultramarine wa salam alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
