			Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen

			was standing to be swimming that he laomi diem

00:00:21 --> 00:00:32
			Allahumma alumna and frona once there are no Bhima are limited Anna was it in a Hema? What are the

owner Sena are bad for Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

00:00:50 --> 00:00:55
			When Allah subhanho wa Taala decided to send his message to us.

00:00:57 --> 00:00:59
			He decided to do so

00:01:00 --> 00:01:04
			by choosing someone to convey that message to us.

00:01:07 --> 00:01:11
			And that is the messenger, the one who comes with a message.

00:01:13 --> 00:01:17
			So the message is from none other than Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:20
			And

00:01:23 --> 00:01:25
			the one who carries that message

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28
			is none other than a messenger.

00:01:29 --> 00:01:32
			And this was done by the choice of Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:01:34 --> 00:01:43
			As Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Allahu your stuffie Mina, Ramallah Ekati, Rasul and Wamena NAS,
that Allah chooses

00:01:44 --> 00:01:47
			messengers from both the angels as well as people.

00:01:49 --> 00:01:50
			So,

00:01:51 --> 00:01:54
			from among human beings, there are messengers

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57
			and from among the angels as well.

00:01:59 --> 00:02:05
			And so, Allah subhanho wa Taala knows where to put his message in whose hands to put it.

00:02:07 --> 00:02:16
			Allahu Allahu Allah, if we are January Salat, Allah knows best, where to place his message, in whose
hands to place it.

00:02:17 --> 00:02:22
			And so it was a choice of Allah subhanahu Attell to send us His message through

00:02:23 --> 00:02:25
			human beings like us.

00:02:26 --> 00:02:27
			They were men,

00:02:28 --> 00:02:30
			who Allah subhanahu Attallah chose

00:02:32 --> 00:02:36
			from among all of human beings,

00:02:38 --> 00:02:40
			which is something that the machinery Khun

00:02:41 --> 00:02:44
			out of their stubbornness, they objected.

00:02:46 --> 00:02:47
			They said,

00:02:49 --> 00:02:56
			Why is Allah sending us a Messenger from among human beings?

00:02:57 --> 00:03:02
			And not only with respect to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam but even the previous prophets

00:03:04 --> 00:03:07
			in Antrim, elaborate Vishwamitra

00:03:08 --> 00:03:12
			they said you are human beings just like us what's more special about you?

00:03:13 --> 00:03:22
			So even a machine could have mankind they use the same argument. And so, Allah subhanho wa Taala
says in Surah Al Asad Wanda Manasa.

00:03:23 --> 00:03:34
			When Emma and Agnes and meno is a woman who their 11 Kalu Dieter Allahu Bashar or Rasul Allah, what
prevented the people from believing

00:03:35 --> 00:03:43
			when guidance came to them, except that they said, Has Allah sent a human as a messenger?

00:03:45 --> 00:03:48
			Meaning nothing prevented them from believing except this thing.

00:03:49 --> 00:04:01
			They objected. And then Allah says, Hello, can I fill out Ruby mela Iike yum. Shula number two Nina
lenez Zelina ie him, Mina Santa Monica Rasulullah.

00:04:02 --> 00:04:06
			Say to them all Muhammad that had there been angels walking on the earth,

00:04:07 --> 00:04:14
			then we would surely have set down for them in Angel as a messenger.

00:04:17 --> 00:04:21
			So this shows us one of the reasons why Allah subhanahu Attallah chose

00:04:22 --> 00:04:28
			for us a Messenger from among us, a human being like us. And that is

00:04:30 --> 00:04:37
			that when we have a messenger, who is one of us, one of our kind,

00:04:39 --> 00:04:40
			we can easily follow him.

00:04:42 --> 00:04:55
			We can easily follow in his footsteps. It won't be that he will have certain traits, certain
characteristics that are different than ours. And then we can use that as a you know, as a reason to
not follow Him

00:04:59 --> 00:05:00
			and so

00:05:00 --> 00:05:01
			Allah subhanho wa Tada sent

00:05:04 --> 00:05:21
			our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as a messenger for us. Now, although Allah subhanho
wa taala, sent his messenger to a people 1400 years ago, who lived with him,

00:05:22 --> 00:05:26
			and witnessed every event with him,

00:05:29 --> 00:05:36
			which in turn gave them reason to believe in him and support him. It doesn't mean that he came and
went.

00:05:38 --> 00:05:38
			And that's it.

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45
			He didn't just come and go and End of story.

00:05:47 --> 00:05:58
			His story is not that of any other person in history, whose life is recorded in history books, for
people to read, and enjoy

00:05:59 --> 00:06:02
			and entertain themselves with

00:06:03 --> 00:06:04
			no

00:06:05 --> 00:06:14
			learning about his life is far more significant than that. And so by learning about his life, we are
actually learning

00:06:15 --> 00:06:17
			we are actually learning about the history of Islam.

00:06:19 --> 00:06:23
			When we learned the life of the Prophet salallahu, alayhi wasallam, we are actually learning

00:06:24 --> 00:06:29
			the history of Islam from the very beginning until, until the very end.

00:06:32 --> 00:06:37
			Now, most Muslims know that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was our Prophet and Messenger.

00:06:39 --> 00:06:43
			But the question is, how many of them actually know him?

00:06:44 --> 00:06:45
			If you were to survey

00:06:47 --> 00:06:56
			your average Muslim today and ask him about certain personalities, certain celebrities, he would
tell you everything about them.

00:06:58 --> 00:07:01
			Unfortunately, this is the reality we live in today,

00:07:02 --> 00:07:03
			especially among our youth.

00:07:05 --> 00:07:06
			And so

00:07:09 --> 00:07:12
			if you're to ask them about their favorite sports team,

00:07:14 --> 00:07:15
			and

00:07:16 --> 00:07:17
			tell them to name

00:07:19 --> 00:07:23
			to name everyone on that team, they'll be able to do it without any difficulty.

00:07:25 --> 00:07:27
			But then ask them to name 10

00:07:28 --> 00:07:33
			of the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and you'll see how difficult that is
for them.

00:07:36 --> 00:07:42
			Likewise, if you ask them about certain people who they look up to certain celebrities,

00:07:44 --> 00:07:53
			ask them about certain details about these people. They will be able to tell you but ask them about
the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam they would have very little to say.

00:07:58 --> 00:08:02
			But that is not how the early generations of Islam were.

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06
			And so

00:08:08 --> 00:08:16
			if we look at the self from the companions and the tabular EAN, and the FBR Tabby or Ian we find

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19
			how they dealt with

00:08:20 --> 00:08:28
			the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the biography of the Prophet salallahu alayhi
wa sallam hadn't made it inside it didn't cause

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31
			who is the son of

00:08:32 --> 00:08:35
			the famous companion said in the interview Akash.

00:08:36 --> 00:08:39
			One of the 10 who were promised Jana,

00:08:40 --> 00:08:46
			his son Mohammed says that our father would teach us the seerah

00:08:48 --> 00:08:57
			our father would teach us the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And he would tell us
that these are the traditions of our fathers, so study them

00:09:00 --> 00:09:01
			and

00:09:02 --> 00:09:05
			are highly in Hussein in it.

00:09:07 --> 00:09:08
			Who is that?

00:09:09 --> 00:09:12
			Who is the grandson of Ruth

00:09:13 --> 00:09:24
			of Halle, Holly Ravi Allahu Akbar, Ali ibn Hussain Ibn Ali. He says, We were taught the Syrah of
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam like we were taught,

00:09:26 --> 00:09:31
			we would be taught the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, like we will be taught.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:45
			And so these are the children from among the self. The question is, what have we done to pass on the
spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to our children

00:09:52 --> 00:09:54
			now there are many things that

00:09:56 --> 00:09:59
			show us the importance of studying the zero

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01
			of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam.

00:10:03 --> 00:10:03
			And

00:10:04 --> 00:10:11
			in fact Today Tonight, we're only going to do this introduction in which we mentioned these

00:10:13 --> 00:10:20
			points. And next week in sha Allah hotel will actually begin with the Sunnah of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:10:21 --> 00:10:21
			And so

00:10:29 --> 00:10:38
			among the reasons why we should study the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is first
and foremost, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:10:40 --> 00:10:48
			is mentioned in the very testimony of faith, the very shahada that brings a person into the fold of
Islam.

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51
			And so,

00:10:53 --> 00:11:02
			no one can be a Muslim without it. And that is, they should have had to Allah Allah, Allah, Allah
who had were in Muhammad Rasul Allah, it is the key to agenda.

00:11:04 --> 00:11:13
			And so if a person does not know who MSL Allahu alayhi wa sallam was, then the question is, what
exactly as he testified to

00:11:15 --> 00:11:17
			what exactly is he testified to.

00:11:20 --> 00:11:26
			And it's unfortunate that we have Muslim kids today, who have no clue who he was.

00:11:27 --> 00:11:29
			They only know he was

00:11:30 --> 00:11:36
			even this much if they know that he was a prophet and messenger of Allah. And perhaps that's all
they know.

00:11:38 --> 00:11:46
			They don't know where he was born. They don't know what he went through in Mecca,

00:11:47 --> 00:11:52
			and the Hijra that he moved to Medina and what took place in Medina and so on and so forth.

00:11:56 --> 00:12:04
			The second reason to study the serum, or the second importance that we can mention is

00:12:09 --> 00:12:12
			that when we depart from this world,

00:12:13 --> 00:12:14
			and we are in our graves,

00:12:16 --> 00:12:20
			there are three questions that each and every single one of us will be asked

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23
			by the two angels, one could indicate.

00:12:26 --> 00:12:29
			These three questions are, Who is your Lord?

00:12:31 --> 00:12:36
			What was your religion? And Who was this man who was sent among you?

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40
			Who is this man who was sent among you?

00:12:42 --> 00:12:43
			And so the believer,

00:12:46 --> 00:12:48
			one who has Iman

00:12:49 --> 00:12:56
			and knowledge, and he puts that knowledge into practice, he will be able to answer these questions
without any difficulty.

00:12:59 --> 00:13:00
			But the caffeine

00:13:01 --> 00:13:03
			and the Mona Lisa, as mentioned in the Hadith,

00:13:05 --> 00:13:13
			will not be able to answer these questions. Or he will say that I used to hear the people seeing
such and such and I would say the same.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:17
			And so, once again,

00:13:18 --> 00:13:22
			unless we know something about our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:13:24 --> 00:13:30
			will we be able to answer that question? Who is this man who has sent a monkey?

00:13:33 --> 00:13:35
			The third point is that

00:13:36 --> 00:13:38
			by studying the serum

00:13:39 --> 00:13:42
			we are actually worshipping Allah.

00:13:44 --> 00:13:50
			Studying this era of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is an act of a bad

00:13:51 --> 00:14:03
			and so, there is actually reward in coming together like this. And sitting and learning something
about the life of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:14:04 --> 00:14:10
			So it is hope that we will be from among those who the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said

00:14:12 --> 00:14:16
			that no group of people come together in one of the houses of Allah.

00:14:19 --> 00:14:20
			remembering Allah,

00:14:22 --> 00:14:24
			and learning the book of Allah,

00:14:25 --> 00:14:26
			except that

00:14:27 --> 00:14:29
			the angels come and descend upon them.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34
			And the Rama of Allah comes and surrounds them.

00:14:37 --> 00:14:38
			And

00:14:39 --> 00:14:42
			Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions these people,

00:14:43 --> 00:14:45
			to His angels,

00:14:46 --> 00:14:51
			and the other things that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned in the Hadith The point
is,

00:14:52 --> 00:14:59
			that studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is not like studying any

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01
			Other history lesson

00:15:03 --> 00:15:07
			that we learn whether it is in school whether it is in books,

00:15:10 --> 00:15:14
			studying the sea rock comes under the IBA of Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:15:18 --> 00:15:19
			The fourth point is

00:15:22 --> 00:15:25
			that our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:15:26 --> 00:15:27
			was not like any other

00:15:28 --> 00:15:30
			important figure in history.

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34
			There are many, many men who walked the face of this earth,

00:15:36 --> 00:15:38
			who left a huge impact.

00:15:41 --> 00:15:43
			And their impact can see can be seen until today.

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48
			And every civilization had men

00:15:50 --> 00:15:51
			who

00:15:52 --> 00:15:56
			those civilizations look up to, and

00:15:57 --> 00:15:59
			they boast of all these individuals.

00:16:02 --> 00:16:04
			But there is no greater man to walk the face of this earth

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08
			to leave a greater impact.

00:16:09 --> 00:16:18
			Then Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And this is not something that we Muslims
mentioned or boast about.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:21
			Only

00:16:22 --> 00:16:27
			this is something attested to by even the non Muslims.

00:16:28 --> 00:16:31
			And so there's that famous book written by

00:16:33 --> 00:16:38
			an American scientist and writer, Michael Hart.

00:16:39 --> 00:16:40
			It's called the 100.

00:16:42 --> 00:16:43
			It was written many years ago.

00:16:44 --> 00:16:49
			It's called the 100, a ranking of the most influential persons in history.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:58
			So he lists the 100 most influential people who have ever walked the face of the earth.

00:17:01 --> 00:17:04
			And he lists as number one Muhammad Sallallahu, alayhi wasallam.

00:17:07 --> 00:17:16
			And obviously, being an American, and him, you know, writing this book for his own people, he knows
he's going to be criticized.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:23
			And so in the introduction, he, you know, as if he's apologizing. And so he says,

00:17:24 --> 00:17:26
			that there is no one I could think of

00:17:28 --> 00:17:31
			who had a greater influence

00:17:33 --> 00:17:34
			and impact

00:17:36 --> 00:17:39
			on both the religious level as well as a secular level.

00:17:41 --> 00:17:43
			Then this man, Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:17:46 --> 00:18:01
			And so by studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we are not studying the
life of one of the most greatest men in history, but the greatest men, the greatest man, to walk the
face of the earth

00:18:03 --> 00:18:12
			fifthly learning about the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam increases our iman and our European

00:18:14 --> 00:18:15
			in the truth

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18
			of His prophet hood.

00:18:20 --> 00:18:23
			When we learn the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, wa sallam

00:18:26 --> 00:18:30
			we we increase our Eman and our claim

00:18:31 --> 00:18:32
			that he was indeed

00:18:35 --> 00:18:38
			a true prophet and messenger from Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:18:39 --> 00:18:45
			And so his Syrah and what we will learn, as you will see, is evidence of his prophethood.

00:18:50 --> 00:18:53
			And this starts even before he was sent as a prophet and the messenger.

00:18:54 --> 00:19:01
			It starts by learning and observing his life, from the time he's born,

00:19:03 --> 00:19:04
			all the way until

00:19:05 --> 00:19:12
			the day that he goes to his people and says, that I am a messenger sent by Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:19:14 --> 00:19:21
			When we learned that period of his life, we learned about a man who was living a normal life.

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27
			But he was a man who had certain traits,

00:19:29 --> 00:19:33
			certain moral characters that define who he was.

00:19:37 --> 00:19:38
			He was a noble person.

00:19:40 --> 00:19:45
			He was a Saudi, I mean, the truthful one, the trustworthy one.

00:19:46 --> 00:19:51
			These are traits that he had that his own people entrusted to

00:19:53 --> 00:19:55
			him then he comes at the age of 40

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			and announces that he

00:20:00 --> 00:20:01
			has been sent by Allah

00:20:03 --> 00:20:06
			isn't his life or 40 years evidence

00:20:08 --> 00:20:18
			that he is actually truthful in what he is saying. This is one of the greatest proofs that we use to
prove that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was indeed

00:20:19 --> 00:20:24
			a true prophet and messenger from Allah, because an imposter

00:20:25 --> 00:20:26
			and a liar.

00:20:29 --> 00:20:30
			He wouldn't be able to,

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33
			he wouldn't be able to get by

00:20:35 --> 00:20:37
			making such a fabrication and such a lie.

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43
			And so even if he was truthful for most of his life, that

00:20:44 --> 00:20:48
			you know, he's known to lie every now and then people will pick it up

00:20:49 --> 00:20:53
			to help with the fact that his own people

00:20:54 --> 00:21:03
			kurush bore witness to the fact that we Majo Ramona Holly Hill candidate, we have never experienced
him to ever tell a lie.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:08
			Not only that, but even later on, when we study

00:21:10 --> 00:21:28
			what happens to the Prophet SAW Salem in Makkah, and then in Medina, and we learn about the many
miracles that took place. Again, these miracles are testimony and evidence to his prophethood, once
again, increasing our Eman and our up in the fact that he was indeed

00:21:30 --> 00:21:35
			the prophet and a messenger of Allah. And this is needed, especially for our young ones,

00:21:36 --> 00:21:39
			who are being bombarded by

00:21:40 --> 00:21:42
			all kinds of doubts

00:21:43 --> 00:21:44
			about Islam,

00:21:45 --> 00:21:47
			about the truth of Islam.

00:21:48 --> 00:21:52
			Why is being spread about the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:21:54 --> 00:22:08
			to dealt with their Eman and to shake their Eman in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And so
if they were to study the spirit of the Prophet SAW Selim, they would gain this knowledge that would
increase their Iman and their Yachty

00:22:09 --> 00:22:14
			in him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as being the true prophet and messenger of Allah

00:22:18 --> 00:22:19
			Sixthly

00:22:22 --> 00:22:23
			many parts of the Quran

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26
			cannot be understood

00:22:27 --> 00:22:29
			without referring to

00:22:30 --> 00:22:32
			the CEO of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:22:35 --> 00:22:46
			And so if one was to only study the Quran, and say I'm only going to study the Quran, I'm going to
read it from cover to cover. And he reads the translation, maybe he reads some, some basic
commentary.

00:22:48 --> 00:22:54
			There are certain things in the Quran he won't be able to grasp, he won't be able to understand
fully

00:22:56 --> 00:22:58
			without going back to the zero,

00:22:59 --> 00:23:07
			so the sera explains many, many things in the Quran. And so the Quran consists of certain things
which are clear cut,

00:23:09 --> 00:23:15
			like our belief, believe in Allah, believe in the angels believe in the messengers.

00:23:18 --> 00:23:21
			And then there are the stories of the prophets.

00:23:24 --> 00:23:26
			If you want to learn about

00:23:27 --> 00:23:37
			the story of one of the prophets, let's say Musa alayhis salam, where will you go, you'll go to the
Quran. If you want to learn about the story of

00:23:39 --> 00:23:54
			our Isa, salaam, you'll go to the Korea, you'll find his story there, you'll find the Stories of the
Prophets. But you will find the story of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam Yes, you'll
find certain aspects from his story from his life.

00:23:56 --> 00:24:00
			But as a story, you have to go back to the serum. That is his story.

00:24:02 --> 00:24:09
			And then there are certain things in the Quran that you won't be able to understand unless you go
back to this era. So for example,

00:24:10 --> 00:24:11
			we have

00:24:13 --> 00:24:14
			Surah

00:24:17 --> 00:24:17
			Surah two,

00:24:19 --> 00:24:20
			which is

00:24:22 --> 00:24:23
			the story of

00:24:25 --> 00:24:38
			the Battle of the hijab, and the Battle of the Trench. Many of the two of you are to read them, you
won't be able to understand their context. But when you go back to the Sierra and study what took
place the events that happened,

00:24:39 --> 00:24:48
			those Ayat will make sense. Likewise, in Surah, Allah Imran Mini is related to the battle offered.

00:24:49 --> 00:24:51
			Also insurance Eric Emraan you have

00:24:53 --> 00:24:54
			the dialogue.

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57
			And Allah addressing al Kitab

00:24:59 --> 00:24:59
			Kalia Hello

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03
			Nikita throughout Sudan earlier Imran

00:25:04 --> 00:25:07
			Allah is addressing al Kitab What is the story of that?

00:25:09 --> 00:25:14
			Why is our addressing al Kitab? You go back to the sea Ron to learn that

00:25:16 --> 00:25:22
			there was a delegation who came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from Iran.

00:25:23 --> 00:25:31
			And they were Christians. And they had a dialogue, they had a debate with the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam. And so Allah is teaching the Prophet SAW Selim how to respond to them.

00:25:34 --> 00:25:37
			Likewise, Surah tilbyr

00:25:39 --> 00:25:49
			is filled with Ayad talking about the mafia called the hypocrites. And Allah tells us about their
characteristics, women, home woman home,

00:25:51 --> 00:26:01
			among them are such and such who do such and such who say such and such? What's the story behind
that? It is the story of the Battle of taboo.

00:26:02 --> 00:26:35
			When a lot exposes these hypocrites for what they truly are, when they refrained from going out and
participating in that battle, and so on and so forth. And that's why there's a certain subject
intercede called ASVAB and noozle. The reasons for why certain is that were revealed the context why
we're Why was this area revealed why was that shooter revealed? You learn about from the SIVA of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:26:36 --> 00:26:37
			seven free.

00:26:39 --> 00:26:43
			Allah subhanahu Attallah commanded us in the Quran to follow

00:26:44 --> 00:26:48
			his way and to take him as our role model.

00:26:49 --> 00:26:56
			NACA at the kernel config Rasulullah. He was one hustler you have in the Messenger of Allah,

00:26:57 --> 00:27:00
			a beautiful example, a beautiful role model,

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04
			someone to follow someone to

00:27:06 --> 00:27:07
			copy.

00:27:08 --> 00:27:14
			And so how can we do that? Unless we learn about his life?

00:27:15 --> 00:27:17
			How can we do that unless we learn

00:27:19 --> 00:27:25
			about what he went through, and how he lived, and how he dealt with people and so on and so forth.

00:27:29 --> 00:27:30
			Easily

00:27:34 --> 00:27:39
			among the important reasons for studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:27:41 --> 00:27:45
			is that the only way to get to love him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is by learning his theory.

00:27:49 --> 00:27:50
			And so

00:27:53 --> 00:27:56
			your average Muslim loves the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:27:58 --> 00:28:00
			And that's a proof of his email.

00:28:02 --> 00:28:06
			Even though your average Muslim may not know much about the prophets, that Allah who had said

00:28:09 --> 00:28:11
			in general, there is

00:28:15 --> 00:28:17
			a low level of knowledge

00:28:18 --> 00:28:20
			among the masses of the Muslims,

00:28:21 --> 00:28:24
			concerning the life of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam.

00:28:25 --> 00:28:30
			But having said that, the majority of Muslims still love the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:28:32 --> 00:28:33
			In fact,

00:28:35 --> 00:28:38
			a proof of this is the fact that his name

00:28:39 --> 00:28:42
			is used. And it is

00:28:43 --> 00:28:45
			the most common name in the world.

00:28:47 --> 00:28:49
			Wherever you go, you find the name Mohamed.

00:28:51 --> 00:28:57
			Why do Muslims named their children Muhammad, even if many of them are ignorant about

00:28:59 --> 00:29:00
			about his life

00:29:02 --> 00:29:09
			because of their natural love for him. So that's part of their Eman which is good and Hamdulillah.
But we want to take it a step further.

00:29:10 --> 00:29:15
			And so we want to increase our love for Him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:29:16 --> 00:29:21
			And the only way to do that is by learning about him,

00:29:23 --> 00:29:24
			learning what he went through.

00:29:27 --> 00:29:31
			Naturally, when you study about someone

00:29:34 --> 00:29:38
			you're going to develop an attraction towards that person.

00:29:40 --> 00:29:41
			When you learn the life of someone

00:29:42 --> 00:29:44
			and you hold him in high regard,

00:29:45 --> 00:29:49
			naturally, your love is going to increase for that person.

00:29:50 --> 00:29:59
			So how about the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who said that a person does not truly believe.
Now you need what I had to call had to occur.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			guna had had to lay human.

00:30:05 --> 00:30:10
			I had to lay him enough. See, he was while we were when we were led when I see

00:30:12 --> 00:30:15
			that none of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him then

00:30:16 --> 00:30:33
			then himself and his children, and his father and all of all of mankind. And in another Hadith the
Prophet SAW Selim said, a person does not truly believe until I am more beloved to him than his
family, his wealth, and all of mankind.

00:30:37 --> 00:30:38
			The ninth point

00:30:39 --> 00:30:43
			is that through the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam.

00:30:46 --> 00:30:54
			As we will see, we will learn about the best community of people to ever walk the face of this
earth.

00:30:58 --> 00:31:07
			And they are the generation of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and they are the Sahaba the
companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:31:10 --> 00:31:14
			The best of human beings were the prophets in the messengers of Allah.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:25
			The best of human beings, after the prophets and the messengers of Allah were their followers.

00:31:29 --> 00:31:33
			The best of prophets and messengers was,

00:31:35 --> 00:31:36
			was who?

00:31:38 --> 00:31:40
			Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam.

00:31:41 --> 00:31:42
			Therefore,

00:31:44 --> 00:31:48
			the best followers of the prophets are who

00:31:49 --> 00:31:53
			you the Sahaba of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:31:54 --> 00:32:00
			So, we're talking about the best human beings to walk the face of this earth after the prophets and
the ministers,

00:32:01 --> 00:32:09
			the Sahaba or the Allahu Anhu. By studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, we
will learn aspects of the lives

00:32:11 --> 00:32:12
			of some of those companions

00:32:13 --> 00:32:17
			and the principles stances that they would take

00:32:19 --> 00:32:22
			in so many different events of his life,

00:32:24 --> 00:32:25
			of how

00:32:26 --> 00:32:28
			they stood by his side,

00:32:30 --> 00:32:32
			how they behaved with him,

00:32:34 --> 00:32:35
			how they

00:32:36 --> 00:32:39
			treated his opponents

00:32:41 --> 00:32:45
			and so on and so forth. We will learn how

00:32:46 --> 00:33:04
			how to treat the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam by learning how they treated him sallallahu
alayhi wasallam and so when we are studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam we
are not just learning about the life of one individual, but rather an entire generation

00:33:08 --> 00:33:10
			and they are people who

00:33:11 --> 00:33:12
			we have to look up to

00:33:14 --> 00:33:16
			and we have to follow in their footsteps.

00:33:18 --> 00:33:23
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, how you will call me currently

00:33:24 --> 00:33:28
			that the best of generations is my generation, meaning the companions

00:33:29 --> 00:33:47
			and then those who follow them and then those who follow them. So if they are the best community,
the best group of people, then we have to learn about them. We have to learn who they were. What did
they stand for? What did they you know, what did they stand up to stand for and

00:33:49 --> 00:33:53
			how they live their lives so that we can follow in their footsteps

00:33:58 --> 00:34:07
			tensely through the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we will learn to value our
deen at a time when many Muslims unfortunately

00:34:09 --> 00:34:10
			are embarrassed of

00:34:12 --> 00:34:13
			showing their Muslim identity

00:34:20 --> 00:34:22
			and so, our youth

00:34:26 --> 00:34:29
			are embarrassed to show that they are Muslim.

00:34:31 --> 00:34:34
			One of the main reasons for this is

00:34:37 --> 00:34:41
			being distanced from the life of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam and his companions

00:34:44 --> 00:34:45
			they don't value

00:34:46 --> 00:34:51
			their deen and they don't uphold their Muslim identity. Because they are detached

00:34:53 --> 00:34:54
			from

00:34:55 --> 00:34:56
			the roots.

00:34:58 --> 00:34:59
			They are detached from the roots

00:35:00 --> 00:35:04
			That's why the enemies of Islam, throughout history, they recognize us.

00:35:05 --> 00:35:08
			They realized that if we want to,

00:35:10 --> 00:35:11
			if we want

00:35:13 --> 00:35:14
			to have victory over the Muslims,

00:35:16 --> 00:35:19
			then we have to disconnect them from their roots.

00:35:20 --> 00:35:26
			That is the only way that we will be able to be victorious over them.

00:35:27 --> 00:35:30
			And if we look at the situation of our Muslim youth today, we see

00:35:31 --> 00:35:33
			that they have achieved that.

00:35:34 --> 00:35:37
			They have achieved that by replacing

00:35:38 --> 00:35:40
			other personalities

00:35:42 --> 00:35:42
			for our youth,

00:35:45 --> 00:35:46
			replacing

00:35:47 --> 00:35:54
			the prophets and the messengers, and the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, and the companions and
the other heroes of Islam, replacing them with

00:35:56 --> 00:36:01
			these other personalities, pop stars, sports, stars, actors, etc.

00:36:04 --> 00:36:09
			And so if we study the CEO of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and we get our kids

00:36:10 --> 00:36:14
			to learn about the why the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:36:16 --> 00:36:17
			this will reconnect them

00:36:18 --> 00:36:27
			with their roots. And so this will naturally cause them to value this Islam that they have.

00:36:28 --> 00:36:28
			Finally,

00:36:30 --> 00:36:31
			the last point

00:36:32 --> 00:36:51
			concerning the importance and the significance of studying the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam is that by learning the sila, we learn how to defend the honor of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam in an age when accusations are made against him

00:36:55 --> 00:36:56
			and so,

00:36:57 --> 00:36:59
			we hear every now and then

00:37:01 --> 00:37:04
			certain accusations against the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:37:05 --> 00:37:06
			And none of these are new.

00:37:09 --> 00:37:10
			None of them are new.

00:37:11 --> 00:37:13
			They are simply recycled and rehashed.

00:37:18 --> 00:37:19
			And so one of the

00:37:21 --> 00:37:24
			one of the most important ways of

00:37:26 --> 00:37:31
			of answering these accusations, is by going back to

00:37:32 --> 00:37:38
			the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and learning it and seeing who the man was

00:37:39 --> 00:37:40
			for yourself.

00:37:42 --> 00:37:45
			Was he what they accused him of or not?

00:37:46 --> 00:37:53
			Not only that, but you will see how these accusations today are the same accusations of the past.

00:37:54 --> 00:37:59
			The same accusations that existed in his time by his own opponents.

00:38:00 --> 00:38:03
			Where do you learn all of this in this era of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:38:06 --> 00:38:17
			And so all of these points that I mentioned, they show us the importance of this topic. The
importance of covering the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:38:18 --> 00:38:31
			And unfortunately, you know, we Muslims are Latin in this regard. And so we need to, especially for
our youth, and our children, to get them to learn the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam.

00:38:32 --> 00:38:33
			Now,

00:38:36 --> 00:38:37
			an important

00:38:39 --> 00:38:41
			point to understand here is

00:38:44 --> 00:38:49
			that different people will approach the seeder of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in
different ways.

00:38:51 --> 00:38:52
			And so

00:38:55 --> 00:39:00
			we have to remember that the only true way of studying the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam

00:39:02 --> 00:39:03
			is as we mentioned,

00:39:04 --> 00:39:07
			by studying it as an activated

00:39:10 --> 00:39:12
			and not simply as a history lesson.

00:39:17 --> 00:39:20
			So if you were to go to the universities here,

00:39:22 --> 00:39:26
			they will teach you about the Prophet sallallahu. How do you sell them

00:39:28 --> 00:39:30
			just like any other human being

00:39:31 --> 00:39:32
			in history

00:39:37 --> 00:39:38
			they won't teach it to you

00:39:41 --> 00:39:43
			as an activator, the obviously

00:39:45 --> 00:39:48
			and they will analyze it from a certain perspective.

00:39:50 --> 00:39:53
			They will look at it from a Western lens

00:39:55 --> 00:40:00
			and this is important for us because there are

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			are many things that we will see in the life of the prophet Sallallahu How do you say

00:40:08 --> 00:40:12
			that those of us who are brought up in this part of the world

00:40:14 --> 00:40:16
			and perhaps they are in college and university,

00:40:18 --> 00:40:24
			they now have a certain perspective, a certain worldview, a certain way of looking at things.

00:40:26 --> 00:40:30
			That when it comes to these events in the life of the prophet saw Selim, they will object

00:40:32 --> 00:40:34
			they will be able to easily accept it.

00:40:35 --> 00:40:35
			Why?

00:40:37 --> 00:40:42
			Because they are analyzing it with a Western lens.

00:40:43 --> 00:40:44
			So, for example,

00:40:46 --> 00:40:50
			when they learn that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went for jihad,

00:40:51 --> 00:40:59
			and he encouraged the companions to fight in jihad, and that they can take women as captives.

00:41:01 --> 00:41:05
			And they become calm concubines, and slaves.

00:41:07 --> 00:41:08
			Those of us

00:41:09 --> 00:41:15
			who have a Western worldview will immediately object to them.

00:41:16 --> 00:41:19
			And say, this is not something that I can accept.

00:41:21 --> 00:41:23
			This is not something that I can accept.

00:41:25 --> 00:41:28
			Women when they learn about how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:41:31 --> 00:41:35
			did not deal with women in the same way that he dealt with men.

00:41:38 --> 00:41:39
			They will object

00:41:40 --> 00:41:51
			and say, No, this is not something I can accept. Why again, because they have a certain Western
worldview that they are looking at the CRO from this lens.

00:41:52 --> 00:42:05
			And so that is why it is extremely important that when we study the CRO of the Prophet sallallahu,
alayhi wasallam. We get rid of that. We don't look at it from that lens. We remove whatever Lens
we're using.

00:42:06 --> 00:42:07
			And we go back,

00:42:09 --> 00:42:11
			we basically bring ourselves back

00:42:12 --> 00:42:14
			to the level of

00:42:15 --> 00:42:17
			a Tasleem submission.

00:42:20 --> 00:42:24
			Because that is the definition of a Muslim, a Muslim is one who submits

00:42:25 --> 00:42:36
			what whether he likes it or not. Whether he understands the wisdom in it or not. He simply accepts
and submits. Why because he knows that this is a truth from Allah.

00:42:38 --> 00:42:42
			He knows that this is the truth from Allah subhanahu wa taala.

00:42:44 --> 00:42:51
			So, this is something very, very important to understand as we approach this era of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:42:53 --> 00:43:01
			Now, what will we be learning in this class in sha Allah Who taharah we will be covering the major
events from the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:43:05 --> 00:43:18
			starting with important introductions, so next week, when we start, it's not going to be immediately
you know, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is born and we get into his life No,

00:43:19 --> 00:43:20
			there are important

00:43:24 --> 00:43:27
			background information that we need to understand.

00:43:29 --> 00:43:33
			And that is looking at the situation of the world.

00:43:34 --> 00:43:37
			Before the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was born,

00:43:38 --> 00:43:41
			looking at the situation of the Arabs, who were they,

00:43:44 --> 00:43:45
			where did they come from?

00:43:46 --> 00:43:48
			What was the situation in Makkah

00:43:52 --> 00:43:53
			and so on and so forth.

00:43:54 --> 00:43:56
			Then after that we will come to

00:44:00 --> 00:44:20
			the days before the prophets of Allah and it was and was born, there are certain important events
that took place before he was born. And then we will go into his life when he is born. And we will
divide his life into three in sha Allah into three parts. So the first part is

00:44:22 --> 00:44:24
			his life before the prophet hood,

00:44:25 --> 00:44:26
			pre Prophet,

00:44:27 --> 00:44:31
			which was, as we mentioned, a period of 40 years.

00:44:33 --> 00:44:37
			And then the second part we'll look at

00:44:39 --> 00:44:40
			is prophethood.

00:44:42 --> 00:44:46
			From the beginning of the prophet hood until the age which is basically the Meccan period.

00:44:48 --> 00:44:53
			And then the third part is from after the Hijrah until his death sort of Lagarde was a Lim's.

00:44:55 --> 00:44:59
			So that is the period in which he was in Medina.

00:45:03 --> 00:45:08
			Finally, when we talk about the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu How do you sell them

00:45:16 --> 00:45:20
			many ask, you know what are the sources that we should rely on?

00:45:22 --> 00:45:25
			And so, when the relevant of the past would write

00:45:27 --> 00:45:28
			about Sierra

00:45:30 --> 00:45:33
			they will not write it in the same way

00:45:34 --> 00:45:35
			in which

00:45:36 --> 00:45:38
			a hadith were never read.

00:45:40 --> 00:45:42
			So the real amount of Hadith

00:45:44 --> 00:45:51
			had a certain strict policy when it came to accepting a hadith

00:45:53 --> 00:45:56
			and so they would stick to

00:45:58 --> 00:46:00
			reliable authentic narrations.

00:46:02 --> 00:46:07
			So these are their compositions in books of Hadith sahih al Bukhari Muslim.

00:46:09 --> 00:46:11
			The various Sunon, Abu Dawood etc.

00:46:13 --> 00:46:18
			They will be very strict in, in what Hadith they would accept.

00:46:20 --> 00:46:27
			Because here we are talking about building our Akita and

00:46:29 --> 00:46:31
			teaching us how to worship Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:46:33 --> 00:46:37
			And that cannot be done based on weak and unreliable narrations

00:46:39 --> 00:46:41
			when it comes to what we have to believe,

00:46:42 --> 00:46:44
			and when it comes to halal and haram

00:46:45 --> 00:46:48
			and how to worship Allah

00:46:49 --> 00:46:51
			that has to be based on

00:46:52 --> 00:46:54
			authentic reliable narrations.

00:46:56 --> 00:47:00
			But when it came to other matters,

00:47:02 --> 00:47:03
			such as

00:47:04 --> 00:47:05
			stories

00:47:07 --> 00:47:08
			and events,

00:47:09 --> 00:47:18
			and the seerah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they will be flexible in their narrations
and say that so they would accept

00:47:19 --> 00:47:22
			they would accept a hadith that may be weak and light.

00:47:25 --> 00:47:26
			And there's nothing wrong with that.

00:47:27 --> 00:47:31
			Why? Because here we are not building.

00:47:32 --> 00:47:33
			We are not.

00:47:35 --> 00:47:39
			We are not extracting halal and haram out of these stories.

00:47:40 --> 00:47:43
			And we are not building our Arpita on that.

00:47:46 --> 00:47:47
			So email Ahmed himself,

00:47:48 --> 00:47:50
			email me they've been humbled the great man.

00:47:52 --> 00:47:53
			He himself

00:47:54 --> 00:48:05
			testifies to this and so he says that when he would come to halal and haram we would be very strict
in our narrations, and what we would accept, but when it came to

00:48:06 --> 00:48:16
			when it came to events and stories from the life of the prophet Sallallahu, alayhi wasallam and Al
Mahajan, which are the battles that the Prophet SAW Selim

00:48:18 --> 00:48:23
			took part in, we will be flexible, we will be flexible in

00:48:25 --> 00:48:27
			in what we would accept of narrations.

00:48:32 --> 00:48:33
			Now this is with the condition

00:48:35 --> 00:48:36
			with the condition that

00:48:38 --> 00:48:41
			those narrations that we accept are not

00:48:43 --> 00:48:44
			extremely weak

00:48:46 --> 00:48:47
			to the point where,

00:48:48 --> 00:48:49
			you know,

00:48:51 --> 00:49:09
			perhaps they can even be fabricated, fabricated reports. So when the real Mr say that we accept weak
narrations, they don't mean these extremely weak narrations, what they mean is certain narrations
that have a little bit of weakness in them.

00:49:11 --> 00:49:14
			So they would accept those when it came when it comes to

00:49:15 --> 00:49:16
			see Ron.

00:49:17 --> 00:49:22
			And so we ask Allah subhanahu wa taala to make

00:49:25 --> 00:49:26
			these sessions

00:49:27 --> 00:49:41
			beneficial. We ask Allah subhanahu wa taala to allow us to learn about his beloved messenger
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And to make that a means

00:49:42 --> 00:49:57
			to increase our Eman in Him and to increase our love for Him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in our
hearts and to help us to value

00:49:59 --> 00:49:59
			him

00:50:01 --> 00:50:06
			And the fact that Allah sent him for us, to make us to value

00:50:07 --> 00:50:08
			to value Him.

00:50:09 --> 00:50:25
			And so we ask Allah subhanahu Attallah to help us to follow in his footsteps and to make him a role
model for us. Also Allahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad Ali or Sotheby veterinarian Subhana Allah who
will be handed

00:50:27 --> 00:50:27
			out

00:50:29 --> 00:50:29
			shortly
