The creation of Allah is a "ystander" and it is the only person to know who they truly are. The relationship between the creator and their followers is discussed, along with the importance of forgiveness and the water in the throne. The speaker emphasizes the need for spirituality in order to achieve spirituality, as it is the greatest of all, even if it is not the greatest. The use of "has" in the Bible is discussed, and the importance of not acknowledging people's opinion and not becoming a victim of confusion is emphasized.

In the name
of
Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the
name of Allah, the
Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Allah created us, and he did not just
create us and then leave us, but he
created us and then sent us messengers to
guide us, to guide us to the purpose
of our existence, and that is to serve
Allah, to worship Allah.
I did not create the jinn nor human
beings except to worship me, but this worship
of Allah differs from person to person, and
it differs based on the knowledge we have
of Allah.
The knowledge and the veneration and the glorification
that we have for Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
And so the greatest problem that human beings
face is their lack of knowledge of who
Allah is and how great Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is.
Because if they knew him, then they would
venerate him, they would revere him, they would
glorify him, and they would honor him subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
And so we get to know Allah and
his greatness, first and foremost by looking at
the creation around us, and so start with
your own self, start with your own creation.
You human being who thinks you are so
great, and within your own selves are signs
which you do not then see, think about
your human body and its intricate control systems.
Think about your brain and how it functions,
how it retrieves information and then analyzes it
and distinguishes it in a millionth of a
second.
Think about your heart and how it pumps
and discharges blood throughout your body continuously at
a steady precise pace for 60, 70, 80
years of your life.
Think about your lungs, think about how you
breathe, then look at the creation around you,
look at this world around us, look at
the oceans, look at the fish, look at
the birds, look at the animals, look at
the bacteria.
Look at these chemical elements, some of which
have not even been discovered until today, and
how each of these different creations has a
law that it abides by, that it follows
in total harmony and total balance.
Then look above you, look at the heavens
above us, look at how this planet of
ours, earth, is one out of many, look
at its situation, look at its location compared
to all the other planets, how it is
in perfect distance from the sun.
If it was just slightly further away, it
would be too cold to live, if it
was just slightly closer, it would be too
hot to live.
Look at how this one planet is one
of many in the solar system, look at
how this solar system is one of many
in this galaxy, and how this one galaxy
is one of millions of galaxies in the
universe that we have discovered until this day.
So how about that which we have still
not discovered?
This is the creation of Allah, so show
me what others have created besides Allah, these
other gods that you claim are gods, show
me what they have created.
The other way to get to know Allah
and His greatness is by getting to know
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through what He
has told us about Himself.
And so Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
told us about who He is, He has
attributes of perfection, He has the most beautiful
names, and He has told us some of
these in the Quran.
And so Allah has told us that He
is Al-Azim, the greatest, He is Al
-Kabir, the greatest, Al-Ali, the highest, Al
-Muta'al, the most sublime, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala, He is the greatest and nothing
is greater than Him, and nothing even comes
close to His greatness.
He is attributed with all kinds of attributes
of perfection pointing to His greatness, and Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has also told us
in the Quran some of His greatest of
creations.
Forget about the earth, forget about the planets,
forget about these heavens, these seven heavens that
Allah has created, go further than that, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala says, That the kursi
of Allah extends over the heavens and the
earth, this is the kursi of Allah, the
footstool of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, he says that the
distance between the heaven of the dunya, the
nearest heaven, and the next is the distance
of 500 years travel.
500 years travel on horseback, and then the
distance between the first heaven and the next
is likewise another 500 years, and the distance
between each of the seven heavens is 500
years.
And then he said, between the seventh heaven
and the kursi of Allah is another 500
years, and then you have between the kursi
of Allah and the water, a distance of
500 years.
What is this water?
It is a mass of water, that Allah's
throne is above, as Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala tells us in the Quran, and His
arsh, the throne of Allah is above water.
Ibn Mas'ud continues, and the arsh, the
throne of Allah is above the water, and
Allah is above the arsh, and
nothing of what you do is hidden from
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
With all of this distance, Allah is close
to us with His knowledge.
Don't think that just because Allah is so
far, that He doesn't know what we do.
He knows us better than our own selves.
And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, wanting
to describe how great the kursi of Allah
is, and the arsh, the throne of Allah
is, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says,
That the seven heavens, compared to the kursi
of Allah, is nothing but like a metal
ring that you take, and you throw it
in an empty land.
That empty land is like the kursi, and
that ring is like the seven heavens.
He didn't stop there.
He said, And then the throne of Allah,
compared to the kursi, is like that empty
land, compared to that ring.
And so my dear brothers and sisters, if
this is the greatest of Allah's creation, His
throne, if that is the greatest of Allah's
creation, a greatness that we cannot even begin
to imagine, and there's no way for us
to even calculate in numbers, Then how about
the greatest of all, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala, who is above that throne, the uncreated,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, there is no
limit to His greatness, and we cannot even
begin to imagine His greatness.
When it comes to Allah, there is nothing
like Him.
There is nothing that resembles Allah.
Even whatever passes our minds, whenever we think
about Allah, whatever crosses our imaginations, it cannot
be compared to Allah.
Why?
Because our imaginations are a creation of ours,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is uncreated.
And so this is who we're talking about.
We're talking about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
the greatest of all.
How great is Allah in your heart and
your soul.
May Allah bless you and me in the
great Qur'an.
And may He help me and you with
what is in it, including the verses and
the wise remembrance.
I say what you hear, and I ask
Allah for forgiveness for me and you, and
for the rest of the Muslims from every
blood and sin.
So ask His forgiveness.
Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen.
Wal aqibatu lilmuttaqeem.
Wala udwana illa ala az-zalimeen.
Wa ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah wahdahu
la sharika lah.
Wa ashhadu an muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh.
Ba'athahu Allah rahmatan lil'alameen.
Hadiyan wa mubashshiran wa nadeeran.
Ballaghar risalah.
Wa addal amanah.
Wa nasaha al-ummah.
Wa tarakana ala al-mahajja al-bayda.
Layluha kana haliha.
La yazeeghu anha illa halik.
Salawatullahi wa salamuhu alayh.
Wa ala sahabatihi al-ghulil mayameen.
Wa ala ala baytihi al-tahireen.
Wa man tabi'ahum bi ihsan ila yawm
al-deen.
Amma ba'd.
Fattaqu Allaha ibadallah.
Wa aslihu thata baynikum.
Wa ati'u Allaha wa rasulahu in kuntum
mu'mineen.
Whoever gets to know Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala and familiarizes himself with the greatness of
Allah, that familiarization and that knowledge leads to
something.
And it must.
It will lead to the veneration of Allah,
the ta'weem of Allah, the reverence of
Allah, the glorification of Allah in our hearts.
And then that will lead to something else.
It will lead to the veneration and the
glorification of the commandments of Allah and His
prohibitions.
When you want to disobey someone and you
want to ignore what he tells you to
do, you don't look at the magnitude of
the command or the prohibition.
But rather, you look at who's ordering you,
who's telling you to do something.
And then based on that, you're going to
either obey him or disobey him.
When you receive a letter from the authorities,
you start to panic and you get on
the phone and you start calling lawyers.
Why?
Because the authority is something in your heart,
is something in your eyes, not to belittle,
not to look down on.
This is serious.
And so I need to take this letter
seriously.
1400 years ago, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
sent us a letter.
And that letter is His message, and it
is His book, and it is the Quran,
and it is His commandments, and His prohibitions,
and His legislations.
How you receive it depends on how you
look at Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, how
you revere Him, how you venerate Him, how
great He is in your eyes.
And this is why a certain people, from
the time of the sahaba onwards, they looked
at small things, small sins as being huge
and a big deal, while others, they committed
major sins and took it as being something
small and not a big deal.
And that's why some of the salaf, the
scholars of the early generations, they would say,
لا تنظر إلى صغر الذنب، ولكن انظر إلى
عظمة من عصيت.
Don't look at how small the sin is,
but rather look at the greatness of the
one you're disobeying.
And this is why Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala, in the Quran, has criticized people who
did not revere Him, the reverence, the veneration
that He is most deserving of.
Three times in the Quran, Allah repeats the
same phrase.
وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ They did not
revere Allah, they did not give Allah the
estimate that He deserves.
The first in Surah Al-An'am.
وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِذْ قَالُوا مَا
أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَشَرٍ مِّن شَيْءٍ They did
not revere Allah, the reverence that He is
most deserving of, when they said that Allah
did not send anything down to any human
being.
They looked down on Allah when they said
that He has sent no message, He has
sent no one to guide us.
The second in Surah Al-Hajj.
وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِذْ قَالُوا مَّا
أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَشَرٍ مِّن شَيْءٍ They did
not give Allah the reverence He is most
deserving of.
Indeed Allah is the most powerful, the almighty.
This ayah was revealed in the context of
the mushrikun who worship false gods.
And Allah mentions before this ayah how these
false gods are powerless.
They can't do anything, they can't bring you
any harm, they can't bring you any benefit.
So why do you worship them?
When you worship others besides Allah it means
that you have belittled Allah and His greatness.
And the third time Allah mentions this is
in Surah Az-Zumar.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
says And they did not give Allah the
reverence that He is most deserving of.
And yet on the Day of Judgment the
earth will be grasped in His right hand.
Or the earth will be grasped and the
heavens will be rolled up in His right
hand.
Abdullah ibn Abbas radiallahu anhu says The seven
heavens and the earth in Allah's hands on
that day will be like a mustard seed
in one of our hands.
And so likewise you have not revered Allah.
You have not venerated Allah.
You don't consider Allah to be anything when
you disobey Allah knowingly after He has forbidden
you from something.
When you don't fulfill a command of Allah
you ignore it knowingly when Allah has commanded
you to do something.
And so my dear brothers and sisters when
does this veneration of Allah truly come out?
What is the test to see whether or
not you have the ta'weem, the veneration
of Allah in your heart?
The litmus test is when something
that is extremely pleasurable to you, something that
you desire approaches you and yet it is
something that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
forbidden.
What will you do?
Will you follow your desires?
Or will you control your desires?
That is a test.
The veneration of Allah does not come out
when you naturally dislike something and you stay
away from it because Allah has made it
haram.
That's easy.
The veneration of Allah doesn't come out when
you do something that Allah has commanded you
to do or a certain good deed that
is easy for you to do, that is
convenient for you to do.
But rather the veneration of Allah truly comes
out when you are in such a situation
where you are at a crossroads between either
fulfilling what is dear to your heart, your
desires and your whims and fulfilling your pleasures
when they go against the commands of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala and this is why
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will shade the
seven people who the Prophet ﷺ mentioned that
Allah will shade under his shade on a
day in which there will be no shade
except the shade of Allah.
He mentioned seven individuals, seven people and what
we find is what was common among all
these people is that they showed the ta
'weem, the veneration, the reverence, the glorification of
Allah in their hearts it actually came out
apparently.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
grant us his ta'weem in our hearts
that we need to what is most pleasing
to him.
