Western society is largely based on the foundations of liberalism. So what is liberalism and to what extent does it conform with Islamic principles and values?

And so what this means is that Islam must prevail in all aspects. It must prevail and be manifest at all levels.
at the individual level, as well as the communal level.
And by necessity, this means that Islam also must be distinct.
There must be something that that distinguishes Islam from everything else. And what distinguishes the Muslim from all other people.
However, the most important thing
that Islam came
to be distinct in
is its beliefs.
And so the beliefs of Islam
that which Allah subhana wa tada has revealed in this Deen for us to believe in
it is prevalent over all other beliefs.
And these beliefs are distinct in every way and in every aspect. What this means is that Islam is unique. Its beliefs are unique, and in no way are its beliefs equal to the beliefs of other religions and other ideologies or concepts.
And that's why it's wrote the Quran Allah subhanho wa Taala has made this distinction clear.
Throughout the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala makes a clear line between Eman and Cofer between tawheed and shift between the believer and the disbelievers.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala comparing the two groups, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, method will offer you any kill Anna will also me world OCD was semi,
that the example of the two camps, the two groups
is like that of the blind and the deaf on the one hand
and the seeing and the hearing person, on the other hand, healthiest we animate Allah.
Are these two equal? Is the blind who cannot see anything? Is he equal to the one who can perfectly see

And we find that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was in Mecca,
and the disbelievers of kurush,
they gave up, they were hopeless,
in stopping the spread of Islam, they came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
And they said, let us come and negotiate a deal.
Why not let us all live peacefully.
So that there is no difference between us so that there is no animosity among us.
Let us agree
that we will worship your God for one year.
And then after that,
you will worship our gods for one year.
And so did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam agreed to this?
Did he gave him Did he compromise on his beliefs.
Allah subhanho wa Taala sent an entire surah for him to recite to the co founder of Quraysh and that is Surah to test your own Kolya you healthcare for your own. And so this surah it consists of this

The times in which we live in today
are testing times.
They are a challenging time,
especially for Muslims living in this part of the world.
And although
deviation from Islam comes in many different shapes and forms,
the deviation of today that is prevalent
is different than the deviation
of
the Arabs, and of kurush of the past.
And so the deviation
or we can say, the paganism and the Coover of Jay helliya was one of idolatry.

As for the deviation and the paganism of today, the co author of today, it is one of ideologies, not to say that there are not people who are worshipping idols
in today's age, but
most people today are afflicted with all forms, and different kinds of ideologies that are based upon Cooper. And so,
in today's world, and especially in this part of the world, we hear of so many different ideologies,
of liberalism, of feminism,
of humanism,
of atheism, and all other kinds of isms. And although most of these ideologies
are easily recognizable, as being in contradictory to the very basic principles of Islam,
and so your average Muslim recognizes that atheism is different than Islam,
or
other such ideologies. They are clearly against the very basic fundamentals of Islam.
However, there is one ideology
that becomes blurred in the lines.
And so there is one ideology
that many Muslims do not pick up. They don't realize the danger of it. They don't realize how it goes against the very basic principles of Islam. And so you find many Muslims today, embracing this ideology. And this ideology, is liberalism.
And so, liberalism can mean one of two things.
You have political liberalism, that most Muslims recognize most people, they're aware
that there is a Liberal Party, for example.
And that the opposite of that is the Conservative Party.
This is political liberalism on the one hand,
but on the other hand, you have what is known as philosophical liberalism.
And it is this liberalism that many do not recognize.
And so,
to put it
in a few words,
we can say that philosophical liberalism
is the idea that the only true universal way
to good and to happiness is
by the pursuit and achievement of liberty, of freedom.
And that true universal evil
is
by the deprivation of that Liberty, and that freedom.
And so, if we were to think about it, liberalism actually encompasses both sides of the political spectrum.
Contrary to what many Muslims think
that liberalism is confined to the Liberal Party,
and so we reject
one of the two.
However,
all political parties
they follow
some degree
We have this liberalism, they only differ in the way the correct path to achieving the maximum benefit. of that. Once we understand this,
once we fully comprehend this, we can see how the ideology of liberalism has impacted the lives of many Muslims, especially living in this part of the world, we find that more and more Muslims are embracing Western liberal ideas and concepts, despite the fact that these concepts and these ideologies run contradictory to what Allah subhana wa tada has commanded us with. And so the lines become blurred for many reasons. But among the most common reasons is that many Muslims see general commonalities between this form of liberalism and Islam. And so they hear of slogans of freedom, of equality,
of justice, and they say, Islam comes with the same thing. Islam believes in freedom, Islam, tells us of equality, and of justice, not realizing that there is a huge difference between what they mean, and what Islam means by these concepts. And so due to their ignorance, many Muslims,
they embrace this form of liberalism, due to their ignorance, either of what Islam teaches, or their ignorance of what liberalism entails. And what further complicates it, is the fact that many Muslims have migrated to this part of the world,
fleeing from the tyranny and the in Justices of Muslim countries. And so these countries welcome them with open arms. And so they feel that they should accept
the ideologies that these people promote. And so there is no doubt that living among the people you will be affected by the way they think, and you will be affected by what they promote the values that they promote, you will be affected by it, and you'll start to accept it one way or other.
And so although we do not deny
the fact that
these Western countries have done a lot of good towards Muslims, we should realize that there is a balance, that Allah subhanho wa Taala wants us to strike between,
on the one hand, holding on to our beliefs, and on the other hand, dealing with people in a good way, and with justice.
So the question is, what is the path forward? What is the way forward?
for Muslims, who are living, especially in this part of the world,
the many Muslims in our communities who have been affected by these ideologies.
The only way forward is by educating ourselves
by educating ourselves and our families of the truth
that Islam has brought,
and
opening our eyes to the realities of these ideologies, and what they're based upon. And so if we were to think about it, Islam was sent as a complete way of life, to control freedom,
to control freedoms, so that they do not break loose.
On the other hand, liberalism,
it wants to break those freedoms loose, so that there is no control over them.
If we were to think about it, liberalism has separated the Muslim from Islam.
And so it starts
with promoting one to fulfill his desires. Then, it moves on to cover and then after that, it moves on to atheism. This is what we have seen in the past, with the Christians
who confronted the church in Europe
and so gradually as
They broke away from the church. It led them to accept these ideologies, until finally it led them to the rejection of a creator for this universe. And if we were to think about it,
Islam has defined the various categories of people.
On the one hand, you have a Muslim, and a believer. On the other hand, you have a Casio, you have a mushrik, and you have a monastic, these are terms clearly laid out in the Quran, and clearly see in the life of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam. While liberalism, it promotes equality between all of these various categories, so that there is no distinction between these various people. And so if the hawara, on the one hand,
expelled Muslims from the circle of Islam, then what the liberals have done is that they have completely erased that circle. And so for them, there is no such circle, there is no difference between the Muslim and the Catholic.
And if we were to think about it, Islam keen to refer judgment,
to Allah alone, and to His Messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
whereas liberalism, it wants us to break that wall down of referring judgment to Allah and His Messenger, and accept what is haram as being Helen, and vice versa.
And so, as long as the people want to live a certain way, then we have to accept that.
And we should believe that they have the right to live, however they want, even if we ourselves, don't involve ourselves in that way of life.
However, we should also clarify that that does not mean
that does not mean
that we don't recognize the right of non Muslims in this particular society, of living how they want,
and we don't transgress against them. But it doesn't mean that we have to believe that these rights are equal,
and that we accept their way of living.
In the verse that we recited in the very beginning of this football,
where Allah Subhana who Allah mentioned
that Islam was sent to prevail over all other religions. Before that verse, Allah subhanho wa Taala said, you read una una La, la him.

That they want
to extinguish the light of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
The guidance that Allah has sent the deen that Allah has sent, they want to expel it, they want to extinguish it with their mouths with their arguments.
And so what does Allah subhanho wa Taala say?
Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us
that he will only perfect his light.
And so they wish to put out the light of Islam.
Such that there is no distinguish there is no distinguishing feature between Islam and all other religions and ideologies.
But just like you can never put out the light of the sun. Likely. Likewise, you can never put out the light of a loss of Hannah who, what the *?
