The heart is the most significant organ of the human body, both physically and spiritually. Thus, we need to strive to make sure our hearts are sound, healthy and free of every defect. The Prophet SAW said, “There is a piece of flesh in the body, if healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart.”

Welcome to this latest episode of heart therapy.
In all of the previous episodes of this program of ours, we have been discussing the heart, its significance, the various kinds of hearts, the various diseases that affect the heart,
and then looking at some of the ways to cure these diseases.
After all, that, what we would now like to turn our attention to
is something of very great importance related to the heart. And that is what is known as the actions of the heart, the good deeds of the heart. And so, just like the heart, it becomes afflicted with bad deeds and sins, there are certain things that are related to the heart, that allow it to do good deeds or that are good deeds of the heart itself. And so,
many people, they may neglect the hearts actions, even though it is a part of Emacs. And so, he man, according to the definition of a hallucinogenic, his belief with the heart and statement with the tongue, and actions with the body parts. Other scholars have said that it is belief and action, belief and action. So belief with the heart and as for action, then it comprises actions of the heart and actions of the limbs.
And so, examples of actions of the heart are for example, loving, loving, who loving Allah subhanho wa Taala.
hating for the sake of a loss of Hannah who would data
loss sincerity for Allah subhanho wa Taala, the taqwa of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
The fear of Allah subhanho wa Taala, hoping in the reward of Allah, Subhana, WA, tada and so on and so forth. These are what are known as the actions of the heart.
In fact,
the hearts actions
are more important than bodily actions. And so the actions of the heart are more important, then the body then. And so the actions of the heart are more important than the actions of the rest of the body. Because without the actions of the heart, there is no benefit in doing actions of the body isn't the distinguishing feature between the believer and the hypocrite, that which is in the heart.
Also doesn't a person enter Islam
due to what is in his heart.
And so this shows us that the actions of the heart are far more greater and far more important than the actions of the body. Also.
What further clarifies this point is that two individuals can be performing the very same act. Let's say for example, there are two people they both prostrate on the ground.
They both make such the and fall on the ground.
One is mean and a Muslim a believer, while the other is a cafe and a mushrik. Who is going to the Hellfire
So one is making his sujood for Allah alone,
and the other, he's making his sujood, to an idol, or to any other object of worship.
Abraham, may Allah have mercy upon him, he says, the actions of the heart represent the spirit of Buddha, which is servitude, and its core.
So, if the actions of the body parts are missing, then it is like a dead body without a soul. So, this is a brief introduction that I wanted to mention, before we get into
the various kinds of actions of the heart. And so, in the coming episodes, the vanilla tailor, in each episode, we will cover one of these many actions of the heart, there are many out there, and we cannot cover all of them. But in sha Allah, Allah, we will try to cover the more important ones be in Allahu taala.
As for in this episode, then the action of the heart that we have is the very first that the scholars always speak about. And that is because of its importance. Without it, there is no benefit whatsoever in the in the actions of the body. And that is what is known as an EClass. And so as long as which is loosely translated as sincerity, sincerity of intention, it means that you make your intention to worship Allah alone, you make your intention behind any act of worship, that it is for Allah Subhana, who without it alone, making sure that all of your actions are supposed to be done for Allah, and for nobody else. And so it means that when you worship Allah subhanho wa Taala, you
intend to draw near to Him, seeking His pleasure and the reward of the accurate and so Allah subhanho wa Tada. He says, concerning a plus one out only to ilaria Buddha, Aloha, mahalo, Allah Diem, and they were not commanded except to worship a lot being sincere to him in religion. And so, this refers to a class,
a class has also been said to be the very foundation upon which all of our deeds and actions are built. And so, just like a house, that is built upon a foundation, if the foundation is weak, then the house will, it will come crumbling down. Similarly, if the foundation of the believer is weak, and his foundation is a less loss, then everything else will come falling apart.
And the foundation being corrupt.
The foundation being corrupt, can basically be summarized in the following three categories. And this is obviously talking about actions that we do, what is our intention behind those actions? The first category is that a person he desires to draw near Allah subhanho wa Taala.
However,
the first category is that a person desires to draw closer to other than Allah subhanho wa Taala by this particular act of worship,
why in order to be praised by others, and so, this what it does to the deed or the act, it basically causes it to become null and void.
And this is an example of
not the major shift, but the minor shift, of which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that I am the one who does not stand or rather, this is a hadith Pudsey. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is speaking, narrating to us what Allah has said. And so Allah says, I am the one who does not stand in need of any partners. If anyone performs a deed or an action, in which he associates anyone else
With me, then I shall abandon him and his ship.
And this is what is known as a yap where you do something which is supposed to be sincerely for Allah, but you do it for other than Allah subhanho wa Taala you do it for the praise of people, whether it be your Salah, whether it be going for Hajj, whether it be giving in charity, whether it be fighting for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala you do it for the praise of people. The second category is that a person intends to achieve some worldly gain, such as leadership, rank, or wealth, without intending by that to get closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so this deed or this action, basically, the person does not get any benefit out of it, with respect to Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And so him doing it as if he did not do it. And so, such a person, he will only get his reward in this life. He'll get what he sought for, and so he will attain leadership, he'll have attained some wealth, but he will not have any reward in the era. It is as a loss of Hannah who without it says, men can you read we'll hire to dunia was ina to hanworth de la him amerihome Viva Viva La you kasun. whoever desires, the life of this world and its glitter, we shall pay them their full for their deeds they're in and they will and we will not deprive them they're in. And then Allah Subhana who Allah says, Allah He can Latina ladies Ella whom Phil irati elanor those are the ones for whom there
is nothing in the Hereafter, except the hellfire. What have you done astronaut roofie ha Waddell we don't matter can we are alone and what they did meaning in this life, it is lost, it goes away, and it is worthless, what they did was worthless. And so the difference between these two categories, the first and the second is that in the first category, the person intended the praise of the people behind worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala. Whereas the second, he did not do it for the sake of a lot to begin with. And he did not do it for receiving any praise. And, you know, the praise of the people is not even any concern to him. So this is the difference between the two. We'll move on to
the third category. But before we do that, we'll take a short break and be right back.
Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Welcome back to our program, heart therapy. In this episode, we have started to speak about the various actions of the heart. And the first action of the heart that we decided to look at is a loss or sincerity of intention. Before the break,
we had mentioned that generally people can be divided into three categories with regards to their intention behind their actions. And so the first category are those who perform an act which is supposed to be sincerely for Allah, they do it for other than Allah subhanho wa Taala. The second category are those who do things not for the sake of Allah. And these things are related to the things of the dunya such as attaining leadership, some kind of rank, attaining some wealth, etc. And so this person he does not intend by that to receive any reward from Allah. And so these are the first two categories. The third category.
The third category basically is the person who intends to draw closer to Allah subhana wa tada and he also intends some worldly benefits.
Get out of that out of his act of worship, such as intending to perform will do,
which is an act of a Bader.
And it is supposed to be for the sake of Allah, you perform well, in order to pray your Salah, but let's say an individual, he intended with his will,
to energize his body.
So, he performed will do in order to pray. But he also had a secondary intention. Or, for example, a person who intends through his Allah
exercise. And so, he has the intention that, you know, my Salah will be a means for me to exercise my body, or, let's say another individual who intends behind fasting in Ramadan, to lose weight.
So these are very common examples of where people they perform an act of worship,
while having another intention behind their act of worship. And so what we say regarding this category is that
this intention, it decreases the reward of a class of sincerity.
But we say that if he mainly intends to worship a lot by this act, meaning his primary intention is that he's doing it for the sake of Allah. And this was a side intention, then we say that he would have missed out on attaining the complete reward. And so a lot of rewards us for our actions,
sometimes completely, and sometimes the reward diminishes, and all of that is proportionate to our intention, and how sincere it was for a loss of Hannah who want to add
regarding
the intention, and a class, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
he said, or rather Abu huraira radi Allahu Allah. He said that a man came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said O Messenger of Allah. What do you say about a man who wishes to fight jihad, and he also wishes to gain some worldly benefit, meaning he wants to also win the war booty.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
there is no reward for him. So the man he repeated his question three times, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam each time, he said, there is no reward for him. And so, this shows us that if a person his intention is mainly
in order to seek some worldly benefit, then he has no reward in the Acura and his reward is only what he has achieved in this life.
Now, with regards to an a clause, we have a very, very famous Hadith and in fact, it is the Hadith that Imam Al Bukhari
decided to make as the opening Hadith for his book Sahih al Bukhari
and that Hadith is where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in Lubin, yet, that deeds are only considered and determined by their intentions, and then he said, that a person will get the reward only for what he intended. Then he gave examples, he said, So whoever immigrates for a lot and His Messenger
he performs his migrating for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, then his his, his immigration will be for a lot and His Messenger, meaning he will get that reward
and whoever immigrated for some worldly benefits or in order to marry a particular woman, then his immigration, his hedra would be for what he immigrated for. And so this is
Principle,
a rule that we should take an implement in our lives, asking ourselves before we commit to any act, why am I doing it? Am I doing it solely for the sake of a law? Or do I have some other intention with it?
What further shows us the importance of floss sincerity of intention is that no action will be accepted by Allah subhanho wa Taala until two conditions are fulfilled.
And one of these two conditions is loss, sincerity, of intention. The other condition is that the act must have been legislated by our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And so if one of these two conditions is missing, then the person his act, his deed, his act of worship is rejected and not accepted by Allah Subhana. Who, what?
As Allah subhanho wa Taala says, from Cana, your rules are a big failure Yeah, Angela, Milan, sorry, hon. Wallah, you should be that he robbed he had, that whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord. He wants to have the reward in the acciara then let him do righteous good deeds. And let him not to associate any partners with Allah, in his worship, even Kathy,
may Allah have mercy upon him. He says in his xfc of this verse, that these are the two pillars of a deed being accepted.
It must be sincerely for Allah. And it must be correct, according to the Sharia, of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu Isley he was.
And so, this shows us the importance of a class sincerity of intention. Finally, before we conclude, let us have a look at some of the fruits that are attained by having a class in our hearts.
Among the fruits of a class
is that through a class, a person is relieved from distress.
And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he told us a story
of three people who were out, traveling and it started to rain heavily. So they went into a cave
and a rock came and block the caves entrance. So they became stuck inside. So they said to one another,
in order for us, to be saved by Allah, let us each and every single one of us make a dua,
in which we ask Allah through an act that we did sincerely for Allah subhana wa Tada.
And so each one of them did that. Each one of them prayed to Allah and said, Oh Allah, remember so and so day in which I did such and such sincerely for your sake.
If this was sincerely for your sake, then remove this rock from the entrance and save us from this game. And then each one of them did that. And then finally they were, they were saved, and they exited from the cave.
Among the fruits of a class is that a person who has a clause in his heart, he is saved from shaitan and he is protected from shaitan and his whisperings and his traps An example of this is none other than use of holly his Salaam.
And so use of Allah His salam, as Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions to us in the story of use of Allah Salaam. When the woman she tried to seduce him,
Allah subhanho wa Taala says what are called the hammer to be he wanna be ha, Lola are more hanabi
Allah subhanho wa Taala says, and she certainly determined to seduce him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord kundalika Lena Sullivan who Sue our fascia in who mean are you daddy? No
Hello Sweden, Allah subhanho wa Taala says Deus, do we avert? Does did we avert evil and immorality from him? Indeed he was one of our sincere slaves.
And among the fruits of a class is that we are forgiven for our sins, no matter how great they may be. An example of this is where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he mentioned to us the story of a woman who was a prostitute.
And we all know that Xena fornication is one of the major sins and so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that Allah subhanahu wa tada forgave this woman because of an act that she did. And he admitted her into gender. And that act was that a dog was extremely thirsty. And so when she was drinking from a well, she came and gave that dog water to drink. And so she did this sincerely for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. As a result, Allah subhana wa tada forgave her for her sins.
I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant us all sincerity of intention in every single thing that we do to make it sincerely for his sake, would that we come to the end of this episode subhanak along they'll be handed a shadow Allah, Allah, Allah and Estelle Furukawa to a lake was Salam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
