			Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was Sharon Ohmori mcdata to her Wakulla the tin Vida Wakulla.
Without him Bala were called out in Finn our brothers and sisters in Islam. We constantly wake up to
the news of Muslims in some part of the world experiencing some kind of calamity, whether they lack
shelter, or drinking water or food, we wake up to stories of refugees in the morning being found
frozen to death. So those people in those parts of the world Allah Subhana Allah has chosen to test
them by giving them less of his blessings less of food and shelter than what we have. And here
Muslims living in the West and other parts of the world we have been giving the opposite test from

00:12:22 --> 00:13:08
			Allah subhanaw taala because a test can be through something bad and it can also be through
something good. So Allah subhanaw taala has given us so many of his Nam so many of his blessings.
And the test is to see whether we will be thankful to Allah azza wa jal and to see if we're going to
use these blessings in the obedience of Allah subhanho wa taala. If there's ever a verse in the
Quran, that should put us to shame. It's when Allah subhanaw taala says will clearly illuminate a
bad idea Shaku and few of my servants are truly thankful. Because in Islam, you have a Shachar level
of being Shakira, and then Shaku Shakira is someone who thinks Allah subhanaw taala they have a meal

00:13:08 --> 00:13:47
			they think Allah azza wa jal, they see a blind person they think Allah azza wa jal for their
eyesight, but the shampoo is a higher level of being thankful to Allah subhanaw taala and the
scholars say what is the difference between the two? The shockula is one that constantly thanks,
Allah subhanaw taala for all kinds of blessings, even things that people take for granted. And they
also think Allah azza wa jal, even if they're tested with a difficulty, even at times of calamity,
they're thankful to Allah azza wa jal, because they realize that it is Allah subhanaw taala that is
testing them. They realize that these calamities will expect their sins, they realize that they will

00:13:47 --> 00:13:54
			also raise the rank on the Day of Judgment. So even during bad times, they're very thankful to Allah
subhanaw taala

00:13:55 --> 00:13:57
			Allah subhanaw taala systems is

00:13:58 --> 00:14:44
			the return and Hamel nama I know in how can I be done? Sure Quran, Allah azza wa jal describes, nor
are they Suriname as being at the higher level of being truly thankful to Allah subhanaw taala
liquids and soil in sun. Allah azza wa jal says in Medina who Seville Imam, Shakira, were ima
cavora. We have showed him the way Either he be thankful and Allah Subhana Allah said, Shakira and
not sure, and the scholars see because the majority of people will fall at the low level of being
thankful. So it's expected if he's going to be thankful it will be at the low level, because fewer
are at the high level. We're in Makkah fora and being ungrateful here, Allah azza wa jal didn't say

00:14:44 --> 00:14:59
			kathira. But before because most people will be at the high level of being ungrateful to Allah
subhanaw taala. So how can we be from those who are truly thankful to Allah azza wa jal, one of the
things not only to thank Allah subhanaw taala for

00:15:00 --> 00:15:41
			The non blessings but to not take many of the blessings of Allah azza wa jal for granted, there are
so many blessings that Allah subhanaw taala has given us and probably since childhood we have not
thanked Allah azza wa jal for them because we just take them for granted. Meaning and as examples,
how many people have ever in their life thanked Allah azza wa jal for their eyelids, for their
eyelids, your ability to close your eyes to moisturize to blink. How many people have ever thanked
Allah azza wa jal for that it's a great blessing. But most people take it for granted. How many
people have thanked Allah azza wa jal for their teeth. But if one of them gives you excruciating

00:15:41 --> 00:16:18
			pain, you rushed to the dentist. He pulls it out of your head and throws it in the trash and you
thank him, you pay him money and you thank him. But how many people think Allah azza wa jal for how
many minutes and hours and days and weeks and months and years they never cause you any pain? But
there's so many things that our blessings we just take for granted? How many people think Allah azza
wa jal for having air conditioning in the car, but they just take it for granted. They start the
car, they start the air conditioning, and they never want stopped to thank Allah azza wa jal for
that. And what is heartbreaking is Allah subhanaw taala says in the Quran, were interred dunya and

00:16:18 --> 00:16:41
			Metalla he loved her Soha and if you were to try to enumerate or to count the blessings of Allah,
you would not be able to enumerate them. Meaning every single one of us is given so many blessings
by Allah azza wa jal that we couldn't even count them. And yet, still, very few people are at the
level of being very thankful to Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:16:42 --> 00:17:24
			So, one, the scholars mentioned some characteristics of one that is grateful to Allah azza wa jal,
and they mentioned that one of them is to use the blessings Allah azza wa jal gives you in obedience
to Allah subhanaw taala. So when Allah azza wa jal gives you a blessing, you have to make sure that
you use that blessing in obeying Allah azza wa jal and not to use it to disobey Him. Allah Allah
gives you wealth, then you use that wealth to obey Allah subhanaw taala. And the scholars say the
sad part is that anytime we sin against Allah azza wa jal, and we are using a great blessing that he
has given us to disobey Him. Have you ever seen a blind person who is looking at images that a haram

00:17:25 --> 00:17:47
			or a deaf person who is eavesdropping or listening to the Haram or someone who's mute? Who is
telling lies or backbiting? It's only the people who have these great blessings that use them to
disobey Allah subhanho wa Taala and it behooves the believing man and woman to put the utmost effort
to try not to use the great blessings of Allah azza wa jal in his disobedience.

00:17:49 --> 00:18:33
			One of the early Muslims a righteous man by the name of Ibrahim, Ibrahim Allah, and a man approached
him and it was said that this man used to constantly sin against Allah azza wa jal. So this man
comes to Abraham at a time complaining and he needs a reminder or something to help him stop sinning
against Allah. So Ibrahim of the Adhan tells him I will give you five pieces of advice. He said, the
first one, if you're going to sin against Allah subhanaw taala, then at least do not use any of His
provision, do not eat of His food, or use any of his drink. So the man said, How can I do that when
everything comes from Allah azza wa jal? So Abraham, Abraham, Allah tells him, does it make sense

00:18:34 --> 00:19:15
			that you disobey Allah azza wa jal? Well, while you're using his provision, and eating of his food
and drinking from what he provides, so the man said, Give me the second piece of advice. He said, If
you cyst upon insist upon doing the first one, then at least do not sin against Allah on any land
that belongs to him. And the man said, that is greater than the first one, because all the land
belongs to Allah azza wa jal. So Abraham, Abraham, Allah tells him, does it make sense to sin
against Allah on his land, while you're eating of his food and using his provision? So the man said,
Give me the third piece of advice. He said, If you insist upon doing the first two, then at least if

00:19:15 --> 00:19:54
			you're going to sin against Allah azza wa jal, and then go where he can't see you. And the man said
that was greater than the first two. He said, does it make sense to disobey Allah azza wa jal on his
land while you're eating of his food, and while he's looking at you. So the man said, Give me the
fourth piece of advice. Abraham that hombre mo Allah said, if you if none of this will stop you,
then at least do what you're doing. But when the angel of death comes to take your soul, tell him to
give you a few minutes, so that you can repent. So the man said he won't allow me to then I'll give
you the fifth piece of advice. When the angels are commanded to throw you into the Hellfire just

00:19:54 --> 00:19:56
			refuse to go with them.

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			And the man said, got caught, which means enough which means

00:20:00 --> 00:20:39
			means I've understood the message. And it was said that from that day on, he stopped sinning against
Allah subhanho wa taala. But this is the reality brothers and sisters of our situation with Allah
subhanaw taala. He is constantly giving us so many blessings that we couldn't even count them.
Because even if we sat down and made a list of all the good things in our life, even if we were
extremely creative and thought of things outside of the box, how can we thank Allah azza wa jal for
all the possible and potential harm that he kept away from us? How many possible accidents could we
have gotten into? But Allah subhanaw taala protected us? How can we even thank him for those things

00:20:39 --> 00:21:19
			that we don't know that are in the unseen? How many bacteriums come into contact with you every
single day? And how many of them actually make you sick? How many days of the year do we get up? And
we go to school and we go to work, but few days of the year we call in sick? How can we think Allah
azza wa jal for all the possible harm that he is pushing away from us? Allah subhanaw taala
mentioned in the Quran Lahoma October two min beignet day human Kulfi you're following our home and
umbrella? In this verse, Allah azza wa jal is mentioning the two angels one in front of you, one
behind you, and their only job is to protect you. By the Command of Allah. That's their only job. If

00:21:19 --> 00:21:41
			not bustled Allah on Houma says they even protect you from ant stings from bee stings, snake bites,
Jin attacking you. So even if we wanted to thank Allah azza wa jal, how could we thank him for these
things? And that's why we begin to understand why the verse is heartbreaking. What kalido meant
about the hasha Corp, and few of my servants are truly thankful.

00:21:42 --> 00:22:25
			The Scholars say one of the characteristics Another characteristic of being grateful to Allah azza
wa jal is to recognize the blessing comes from him and constantly think Allah azza wa jal and Allah
subhanaw taala mentioned in the Quran, where is Bukom let Aisha Khartoum Allah as Eden ACOEM, when
an Inca Fortum in other Villa should eat, your Lord has decreed that if you think him, he will
increase if your thank you will increase you in the blessing. Well, the ink of our time, and if
you're ungrateful, My punishment is more severe. So the scholars say clearly in this verse, you see
that when you think Allah subhanaw taala your blessings will increase. Allah will keep the blessing

00:22:25 --> 00:23:08
			with you, it will not remove it from you because you're being thankful. Allah azza wa jal will
increase that blessing, and Allah subhanaw taala will increase you in other blessings. So it's clear
then that when you think Allah subhanaw taala the blessings remain and increase, which means
thanking Allah azza wa jal is a blessing. And what do you do when you're given a blessing by Allah
azza wa jal, you thank him. And you see how we will never be able to truly thank Allah subhanaw
taala It is reported that though would Allah His Salam said, Oh, Allah, how can I thank you enough,
when thanking you is itself a blessing that is deserving of thanks. Oh, Allah, how can I thank you

00:23:08 --> 00:23:21
			enough when thanking you is itself a blessing that is deserving of thanks. And even more, so we
begin to understand, what do you mean about the shadow, and few of my servants are truly thankful?

00:23:22 --> 00:24:00
			What is sad brothers and sisters is that Allah subhanaw taala gave every single one of us the
ingredients to live a happy life, a study that was conducted by one of the universities, they wanted
to test people's level of happiness, and if there's a relationship to their level of income, so they
tested people who are low to middle class income, they tested their level of happiness, then they
tested the level of happiness of people who are multimillionaires. And then they did something
interesting. They tested the level of happiness of people who were low income and won the lottery
suddenly came into millions, to see if there's any increase in level of happiness. And the study

00:24:00 --> 00:24:40
			concluded, there was zero to little increase in levels of happiness. What they concluded was that if
you have the basics of any type of shelter does not have to be extravagant, and you can eat, it
doesn't have to be fancy food, and you have your loved ones around you, then you actually have the
ingredients to live a happy life. And what is sad is that every single one, Allah subhanaw taala has
given these basic ingredients, but we push them aside, and we assume that our happiness lies in
something that is distant, something that is unattainable in the future in a career and we live a
miserable life even though right here Allah azza wa jal gave us the ingredients to having a happy

00:24:40 --> 00:24:59
			life. So we should always remember the blessings Allah Subhana Allah has given us and the scholars
say that you always look at those who have less than you in the dunya so that way, you feel more
thankful for what you have. So if you have an old car, you look at those who are taking
transportation don't have a car, you don't look at it.

00:25:00 --> 00:25:40
			Driving to get million dollar vehicles. If you have a small, humble home, you look at those who have
homes of lesser quality than yours, not those who have far more. And the problem is rather than
sisters, that most people always look at what they don't have. And by doing so they forget what they
have. And they forget to be thankful to Allah azza wa jal, another incident narrated, also
mentioning Ibrahim, Mo Allah, he came upon a beggar and the beggar was asking people aggressively,
and he was angered at the situation that Allah put him in. So Abraham, Abraham wants to teach this
beggar a lesson. And he comes to him and he says, Why don't you thank Allah for the many blessings

00:25:40 --> 00:25:41
			He has given you?

00:25:42 --> 00:26:26
			And the beggar angrily said, and what blessings has He given me? So Abraham makes him an offer? He
said, Will you remove both your eyes right now? And I will give you 100,000 Gold dinos. The man
refused, will you cut off both your ears and I will give you 100,000 gold dinars, the man refused
your tongue. The man refused your arms, the men refused your legs the man refused. So Abraham says
to him Subhan Allah, or aka Tom Lee, call me in a dinner near you and me at water cooler in the
cafeteria. He said Subhanallah I see that you own hundreds of 1000s of dinars. And yet you say that
your poor are poor Lakota had was suffered Allah and all the money will come and Jimmy the note for

00:26:26 --> 00:26:38
			stocks through Fairphone Mr Vereen, ask Allah Subhana Allah for his forgiveness, surely those who
ask for forgiveness shall prosper and kindly tighten the rows move inwards and also tighten the rows
inwards?

00:26:56 --> 00:27:04
			hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah hill I mean what other early he was so
happy to hear Jemaine about

00:27:05 --> 00:27:48
			Imam is the heavier hammer Allah mentions in his famous book SEER Allah mon novella. Story of a
righteous man. His name was Abdullah Abdullah Mohammed. And this man, Abdullah Abdullah Mohammed he
narrates that he was on a journey. And then he got lost, he lost his way. He says, so I started
looking for signs of any human beings to show me back on my show me the way back. And I couldn't
find signs of any people, except in the distance I saw a small tent in the middle of the desert. And
as I got closer to this tent, it became apparent that it was in very bad shape. And as close to the
tent I could see that was torn from all sides. And the wind was entering this tent from all sides.

00:27:49 --> 00:28:34
			And I looked inside this tent, and I saw an old man sitting in the middle of the tent, and he had no
wealth, there was nothing of value in the tents, who is clearly poor, and the tent itself is
dilapidated. And the old man's description was that he was blind, and he had no arms and he had no
legs, which could also mean that he's paralyzed. And he sat in this poor old tent with no wealth,
and he was just repeating constantly, and hamdulillah under the for Balani any other cathedra medmen
Halaqaat of de la Oh praise due to Allah, who has preferred me over so many of his servants in so
many different ways. And the man just kept repeating that Alhamdulillah Allah de for Balani Allah

00:28:34 --> 00:29:15
			cathedra man, I mean masala Koto de la, sol, sol. So, Abdullah, Mohammed says, I sent a Salam
alikoum and the old man responded. And Abdullah Mohammed tells him, I'm a traveling man who lost his
way. And I wanted to ask you for directions, but I have a question for you first. And the old man
said, I will answer your question, but you also have to promise to help me with something and they
both agreed. So Abdullah, no Muhammad Rahim. Allah asked him, he says, I see that you're sitting
here, you have no wealth. You're blind, you have no arms and you have no legs. But you're constantly
thinking Allah azza wa jal for preferring you over so many of his servants in so many different

00:29:15 --> 00:29:21
			ways. So I just wanted to ask you, how has Allah preferred you over so many of his servants?

00:29:22 --> 00:29:59
			So the old man said, Do you not see that I'm able to hear? He said, Yes. He said, How many of the
servants of Allah aren't able to hear he said many? He said, Then Alhamdulillah, who has preferred
me over so many of his servants who are unable to hear? Do you not see that I'm able to speak? Yes.
How many of the servants of Allah are unable to speak than 100? Allah who has preferred me over so
many of his servants who are unable to speak? Do you not see that I'm of sound mind? And then he
mentioned Do you not see that I'm upon Islam, and how many 1000s of people are worshipping idols and
trees and saying that ISA is the son of Allah and Allah is far removed from

00:30:00 --> 00:30:06
			that, then Al Hamdulillah, who has preferred me over so many of his servants in so many different
ways,

00:30:07 --> 00:30:48
			then it came time for his favor. He tells Abdullah Mohammed, I have a little boy. And that's the
only thing left of my family. All of my family has passed away. I've got no wealth, the only thing I
have left in this world is my son. And he left yesterday and he still hasn't returned. So all I need
from you is to go out and to find this little boy. So Abdullah, Mohammed says, I went out, and I
looked everywhere for this boy, and I found no sign of him. But I noticed that in the distance, some
birds were circulating in the air. And I knew they only did that over a dead body. So I made my way
to that area, and I found the boy, the wolf had killed him, and he had eaten.

00:30:49 --> 00:31:30
			He said, I didn't know how to go back to this old man who has nothing left on this earth except this
little boy and tell him that you're the wolf had eaten him to the point that I considered to not
even go back to him. But I couldn't do that to him. But on the way to his tent, I suddenly
remembered the Prophet of Allah ubani his setup. So when I entered the tent, the old man said, Where
did you find them? And he's so sure that I found the boy said, first let me ask you a question. Who
is more beloved to Allah? You are a YouTuber, and he has set up and the old man said, a yo bunny has
set up and who is tested more by Allah azza wa jal, you are a YouTuber, and in his center, he said,

00:31:30 --> 00:31:34
			no doubt a yo Alehissalaam. Then I said it then

00:31:36 --> 00:32:21
			seek the reward with Allah. I found your boy, the wolf had killed him. And he had eaten him. When I
said that the old man he said in Allah nearly Roger own shadow Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah and he
kept repeating in that Allah in LA Raja own shadow Allah, Allah, Allah. Then he began to yesh, Huck
take deep breath, as if his soul is about to leave. So he took his head and I put it on my lap, and
he just kept repeating in not in LA, we're in the LA Hara, Joan, a shadow Hola, hola. Hola. Hola.
And he kept repeating these phrases until the soul left his body. So when he died, I watched him and
I shrouded him. And then a traveling group of people came by. So we prayed over him and we buried

00:32:21 --> 00:32:52
			him. And then I continued my journey with that group of people. At night, when we stopped to rest. I
fell asleep. And in my dreams, I saw the old man, and he was in excellent physical condition in
excellent physical health. So I asked him, I said, How did you come to be in the state and the old
mindset? My My Lord entered me into a Jana, and it was said to me, salaam aleikum. Be ma savato

long list of problems and complaints from which we need solutions from Allah subhanaw taala. But
these things should not make us forget all the other magnificent blessings we have from Allah azza
wa jal, and for those who are looking for some kind of action item from this hotbar before this day
