Imtiaz Sooliman – Gift of the Givers Donate Oxygen Equipment to Hospitals

I get a message from great way, a private hospital, through a

vascular surgeon, a friend of mine, a member of my team. She

says, Doc, as I walk through the wards, every nurse stops me and

says, Thank you for these machines. These machines are now

saving lives. A cardiologist from the same hospital, came on the

phone. He was sobbing. He couldn't speak. He cut the call. He sent me

a voice note. He says, here we've been seeing so much of death and

so much of dying. I can't believe these machines have come. And for

those people who given the machines, you gave it for free,

even to our private hospital, we can't salute you enough and those

people who made the machines and gave it for free, thank everyone.

We are saving lives now. And that's the kind of sentiments

coming from everywhere. It's every hospital, public and private

saying, You know what these oxygens are. These machines are

saving lives. We needed them a long time ago.

hospitals in our country in this pandemic is scary, and those

messages from the different doctors about counting the number

the last few weeks. We've lost so many healthcare workers in Durban

alone. Three years ago, we lost eight doctors in two days, you

know, and what that kind of sentiment? One of the doctors in

Eastern Cape said, What is machines, covid 19? You can come.
