			Assalamu alaikum, warhamat, Allah
akhetu, and welcome back to

00:00:05 --> 00:00:10
			another stop on our journey with
the Quran. And today, Inshallah,

00:00:10 --> 00:00:15
			we're going to be talking about
surat al araf. Surat Al araf is

00:00:15 --> 00:00:19
			another Surah Maq revealed to the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:00:19 --> 00:00:24
			sallam in Mecca. And Al araf means
the elevated places.

00:00:25 --> 00:00:25
			Urf

00:00:26 --> 00:00:29
			is a word that has multiple
meanings, or

00:00:30 --> 00:00:35
			in Sharia, is something that
people agree upon, a common

00:00:35 --> 00:00:38
			practice among people, or
something that has been well known

00:00:38 --> 00:00:43
			among people, that is sort of a
tradition or food Dik, which is

00:00:43 --> 00:00:48
			the piece of skin on the on the
top of the head of the rooster,

00:00:48 --> 00:00:52
			which is the highest piece of or
the highest part of its head, and

00:00:52 --> 00:00:57
			it's seen from a distance, and we
recognize roosters when we look At

00:00:57 --> 00:01:05
			this piece of skin or flesh. So
the RUF of something is the

00:01:05 --> 00:01:10
			highest point of that thing. What
is the significance of the word

00:01:10 --> 00:01:15
			araf? Or where does it come? The
word araf comes in the context of

00:01:16 --> 00:01:21
			an elevated place between Paradise
and the hellfire. People are held

00:01:21 --> 00:01:26
			there people who have not been to
paradise and were not destined to

00:01:26 --> 00:01:30
			the hellfire. So they are held in
this place in between, where, from

00:01:30 --> 00:01:33
			their vantage point, they can look
at both sides. They look at the

00:01:33 --> 00:01:37
			people of paradise enjoying what
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala has

00:01:37 --> 00:01:40
			prepared for them, and they look
at the Hellfire with the

00:01:40 --> 00:01:44
			punishment that ALLAH SubhanA wa
Taala has prepared for those who

00:01:44 --> 00:01:49
			deserve to go there and from the
vantage point there, hoping that

00:01:49 --> 00:01:53
			the Mercy of Allah subhanahu wa
take them to the better place, to

00:01:53 --> 00:01:58
			Paradise, and Allah subhanahu wa,
with his mercy and generosity,

00:01:58 --> 00:02:02
			grants them their wish. Surat araf
is a very beautiful Surah that

00:02:02 --> 00:02:08
			talks about a this is the first
surah in the Quran, basically

00:02:08 --> 00:02:13
			where we find the cyclical listing
of different

00:02:14 --> 00:02:18
			civilizations and the story of
their prophets that Allah, subhana

00:02:18 --> 00:02:22
			wa Taala had sent them, and how
these different civilizations

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26
			responded to their prophets,
mostly in a negative way. The

00:02:26 --> 00:02:30
			majority were rejecting of these
prophets, and how Allah subhanahu

00:02:30 --> 00:02:35
			wa, after giving them a fair
warning, Allah subhanahu wa saved

00:02:35 --> 00:02:41
			the believers, and Allah subhanahu
wa destroyed the worship, the idol

00:02:41 --> 00:02:47
			worshipers, the oppressors and
Allah subhanahu wa left a sign

00:02:47 --> 00:02:51
			that people could see the traces
of these different civilizations,

00:02:51 --> 00:02:55
			that people, when they pass by,
they would see what happened to

00:02:55 --> 00:02:59
			these people, so they would get a
lesson learned. And especially

00:02:59 --> 00:03:02
			when we're talking about Arabia,
the time when this Quran was

00:03:02 --> 00:03:05
			revealed to the Prophet salallahu
alaihi wasallam, especially people

00:03:05 --> 00:03:10
			who were traveling to the north to
Hashem, they used to pass by the

00:03:10 --> 00:03:16
			ruins of the villages of Ayad and
tamud and so on. So they would

00:03:16 --> 00:03:20
			see, actually the signs, and they
would recognize from previous

00:03:20 --> 00:03:24
			history for these travelers, they
would recognize what happened in

00:03:24 --> 00:03:27
			these different villages and these
different places. The Prophet

00:03:27 --> 00:03:30
			salallahu, alayhi wa sallam,
talking about these different

00:03:30 --> 00:03:33
			places, that these are places of
punishment of Allah, Subhanahu wa

00:03:33 --> 00:03:37
			taala, that people should try to
avoid as much as possible, even if

00:03:37 --> 00:03:41
			they are traveling and passing by
these villages, they should not

00:03:41 --> 00:03:44
			stop there. They should not dwell
there. They should not visit there

00:03:44 --> 00:03:47
			or settle there. And even the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:03:47 --> 00:03:51
			sallam on his way in the Battle of
Tabuk, when they passed by these

00:03:51 --> 00:03:55
			villages, he told his companions,
go through these villages with

00:03:55 --> 00:04:00
			lower heads, feeling humility to
Allah subhanahu wa, do not drink

00:04:00 --> 00:04:05
			from its wells and do not eat from
the plants that are still growing

00:04:05 --> 00:04:09
			there. So this is basically the
advice of the Prophet sallallahu

00:04:09 --> 00:04:12
			alayhi wa sallam. And
unfortunately, today we see people

00:04:13 --> 00:04:17
			heeding this advice, or actually
not heeding this advice, people

00:04:17 --> 00:04:22
			staying away from this advice and
basically settling in these places

00:04:22 --> 00:04:27
			and building touristic attractions
or settlements for tourists to

00:04:27 --> 00:04:31
			come and visit and enjoy and so on
and so forth, which is contrary to

00:04:31 --> 00:04:35
			the advice of the Prophet
salallahu alaihi wasallam going

00:04:35 --> 00:04:38
			back to Surat Lara of Allah,
Subhanahu wa in this surah tells

00:04:38 --> 00:04:43
			us about, again, the beginning of
humanity, similar to the ayat that

00:04:43 --> 00:04:46
			come in Surah Al Baqarah, Allah
subhanahu wa gives us another

00:04:46 --> 00:04:52
			chapter of the story of the
creation of Sayyidina, Adam Allah,

00:04:52 --> 00:04:56
			the disobedience of the shaitan
and the deception of the shaitan,

00:04:56 --> 00:04:59
			how he deceived Sayyidina. Adam
Alaina.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:04
			Salam into disobeying Allah
subhanahu wa taala, and how ALLAH

00:05:04 --> 00:05:08
			SubhanA wa Taala accepted the
repentance of Sayyidina Adam. But

00:05:08 --> 00:05:13
			there was a certain price to pay,
Kala Abu minha Jamia, if betu

00:05:13 --> 00:05:17
			descend from this paradise, and
these who were meant to descend

00:05:17 --> 00:05:21
			from Paradise were Sayyidina Adam,
Alain Ibn Ali salatu salam and his

00:05:21 --> 00:05:26
			wife, Hawa, and the shaytan, who
was kicked out of the Mercy of

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27
			Allah subhanahu

00:05:28 --> 00:05:30
			wa.

00:05:31 --> 00:05:37
			It comes from the Arabic verb
Alessa ubli su iblessan. So Al

00:05:37 --> 00:05:44
			ibless is to have a complete
disappointment or hopelessness in

00:05:44 --> 00:05:48
			the Mercy of Allah subhanahu wa.
And Allah subhanahu wa called

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52
			Iblis as such, because he has no
hope in the Mercy of Allah

00:05:52 --> 00:05:56
			subhanahu wa. He has been banished
from the Mercy of Allah subhanahu

00:05:56 --> 00:06:00
			wa and his forgiveness because of
his arrogance and because of his

00:06:00 --> 00:06:04
			defiance to Allah subhana wa
taala, and as we mentioned in

00:06:04 --> 00:06:07
			Surat Al Baqarah IBS, with his
false logic

00:06:08 --> 00:06:13
			claims to Allah subhana wa taala,
why he rejected to prostrate to

00:06:13 --> 00:06:19
			Sayyidina Adam, according to the
commandment of Allah subhanahu wan

00:06:19 --> 00:06:25
			you created me out of fire, and
you created him out of dust or

00:06:25 --> 00:06:32
			mud, and in Iblees, arrogant
opinion, fire is more supreme and

00:06:32 --> 00:06:36
			superior than dust. Therefore he
would not prostrate to any fear,

00:06:36 --> 00:06:40
			and he forgot where did this
command came from. It came from

00:06:40 --> 00:06:44
			ALLAH SubhanA wa taala. And as
Allah subhanahu wa mentions in

00:06:44 --> 00:06:49
			this surah the ayah that we have
cited before Allah UL Haqq Waal

00:06:49 --> 00:06:54
			Amr, so the creation and the
command belong only to Allah

00:06:54 --> 00:06:55
			subhana wa taala.

00:06:58 --> 00:07:01
			Allah subhana wa Taala addresses
the sons of Adam in general,

00:07:03 --> 00:07:08
			about what has been prescribed
upon them, what could be ways or

00:07:08 --> 00:07:12
			means of deception of the shaitan
and how to avoid them. Yebani,

00:07:12 --> 00:07:13
			Adam,

00:07:15 --> 00:07:22
			liber senukum, Orisha walibari
came in area till

00:07:24 --> 00:07:29
			ALLAH,

00:07:40 --> 00:07:41
			ALLAH

00:07:42 --> 00:07:43
			SubhanA wa Taala

00:07:44 --> 00:07:50
			tells us about the first result of
disobey. Disobeying Allah subhana

00:07:50 --> 00:07:54
			wa Taala in Jannah once Sayyidina,
Adam Alain, Nabi no Ali salatu,

00:07:54 --> 00:07:58
			Salaam and his wife, Hawa,
disobeyed ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala

00:07:58 --> 00:08:02
			and ate the fruit of the tree that
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala forbade

00:08:02 --> 00:08:06
			them from eating from. The first
consequence of this disobedience

00:08:07 --> 00:08:13
			was *. They their clothes or
the cover that they had on their

00:08:13 --> 00:08:16
			body was completely removed, and
they could see each other, and

00:08:16 --> 00:08:20
			they could see their nakedness in
front of each other, and they felt

00:08:20 --> 00:08:24
			shy of each other, and first,
first and foremost, shy from Allah

00:08:24 --> 00:08:28
			subhanahu wa. So Allah subhanahu
wa is telling us that this

00:08:29 --> 00:08:34
			nakedness, or this *, is not
a sign of piety, it's not a sign

00:08:34 --> 00:08:40
			of modesty, and that among the the
blessings that Allah subhanahu wa

00:08:40 --> 00:08:46
			has given us is this garment,
these clothes that cover our

00:08:47 --> 00:08:52
			bodies and our private parts and
our awra. And this is a blessing

00:08:52 --> 00:08:56
			from Allah subhanahu wa. And Allah
subhanahu wa tells us that He has

00:08:56 --> 00:09:00
			given us different kinds of
fabric, different kinds of

00:09:00 --> 00:09:06
			garments so that we can preserve
our modesty and our dignity. And

00:09:06 --> 00:09:10
			Allah subhanaw taala says that
taking off these clothes is not a

00:09:10 --> 00:09:16
			sign of piety. It's not a sign of
respect for oneself, if you

00:09:16 --> 00:09:22
			remember, or if you have read that
when the European settlers came to

00:09:22 --> 00:09:26
			the United States, or the land
later on to be called the United

00:09:26 --> 00:09:30
			States first, and they saw the
Native Americans. They called them

00:09:30 --> 00:09:35
			savages. They called them
barbarians. Why? Because mostly

00:09:35 --> 00:09:40
			they were. They had very scant
clothes, so basically, most of

00:09:40 --> 00:09:44
			their bodies were exposed and to
these settlers that came from

00:09:44 --> 00:09:48
			Europe, that was a sign of
backwardness, that was sign of

00:09:48 --> 00:09:52
			savagery and barbarism. And now
look at what's what's going on

00:09:52 --> 00:09:56
			right now, actually, civilization
is going back and reverting to

00:09:56 --> 00:09:59
			that savage behavior, and that.

00:10:00 --> 00:10:06
			Barbarism by removing its clothes
and being very scantly dressed in

00:10:06 --> 00:10:10
			a way that Allah subhanahu wa does
not approve of.

00:10:12 --> 00:10:16
			And Allah subhanahu wa mentions
that the best dress, the best

00:10:16 --> 00:10:20
			garment, is not only on the
outside, but it comes from the

00:10:20 --> 00:10:26
			inside waivers with Taqwa Delhi
kahir, that if someone has piety

00:10:26 --> 00:10:30
			and mindfulness about Allah
subhanahu wa in their heart and in

00:10:30 --> 00:10:34
			their mind, that is going to drive
them to follow the commandments of

00:10:34 --> 00:10:38
			Allah subhanahu wa by dressing
properly, covering their body in a

00:10:38 --> 00:10:43
			respectful way, and that would be
pleasing to Allah subhanahu wa

00:10:43 --> 00:10:47
			Subhana wa Taala warns the sons
and daughters of Adam, do not

00:10:47 --> 00:10:50
			follow the steps of the shaytaan.
Let not shaytaan deceive you as he

00:10:50 --> 00:10:57
			deceived your forefathers, your
grandfather, Adam and his wife by

00:10:57 --> 00:11:02
			letting them shed their clothes
off their body again, that would

00:11:02 --> 00:11:06
			be a sign of disobedience to Allah
subhanahu wa and then Allah

00:11:06 --> 00:11:10
			subhana wa Taala tells us about
some false claims of the non

00:11:10 --> 00:11:14
			believers at every age, whenever
they did something wrong, whenever

00:11:14 --> 00:11:16
			they committed the sin, they would
claim

00:11:19 --> 00:11:24
			that Allah subhanahu wa so. It is
an order of ALLAH SubhanA were

00:11:24 --> 00:11:28
			just following the orders of Allah
subhana wa Taala and ALLAH SubhanA

00:11:28 --> 00:11:36
			wa Taala refutes this fallacy by
saying Qul in Allah morn ALLAH

00:11:36 --> 00:11:42
			SubhanA wa Taala never commands
lewdness or improper behavior. Do

00:11:42 --> 00:11:46
			you say, or do you attribute to
Allah subhana wa Taala something

00:11:46 --> 00:11:50
			that you don't know that would be
completely unfair and an injustice

00:11:50 --> 00:11:52
			against Allah subhanho wa taala,

00:11:53 --> 00:11:57
			and then Allah subhana wa Taala
tells us about how to dress yebani

00:11:57 --> 00:12:02
			Adams did wakulu was Robu wala to
sleep.

00:12:15 --> 00:12:17
			Commands

00:12:18 --> 00:12:28
			us to dress nicely, not
extravagantly, and not to be dirty

00:12:28 --> 00:12:33
			in our appearance, in our clothes,
or shabby in our appearance, to be

00:12:33 --> 00:12:42
			well dressed, as Rasulullah Sallam
says in Allah Adi Allah subhanahu

00:12:42 --> 00:12:48
			wa would love to see the effects
and the results of His bounties

00:12:49 --> 00:12:53
			upon his people. So if Allah
subhanahu wa gave you wealth and

00:12:53 --> 00:12:57
			Alhamdulillah, you can afford
dressing in a nice way, without

00:12:57 --> 00:13:01
			being arrogant, without being
extravagant, you should show you

00:13:01 --> 00:13:05
			should appreciate the bounty of
Allah subhanahu wa upon you.

00:13:05 --> 00:13:12
			Rasulullah sallallahu wore, put
on, dressed with everything that

00:13:12 --> 00:13:16
			was available at his time and that
was acceptable at his time.

00:13:16 --> 00:13:21
			Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, so he
wore the izhar and Rida. Izhar and

00:13:21 --> 00:13:25
			Rida are two pieces of garment,
one to cover the lower part of the

00:13:25 --> 00:13:30
			body and want to be put on the
shoulders, just as the men were in

00:13:30 --> 00:13:35
			hajj, for example, he SallAllahu,
alayhi wa sallam, or the sir Well,

00:13:35 --> 00:13:40
			and the KAMIS, which is similar to
the dress of our brothers from the

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43
			Indian subcontinent, from
Pakistan, from India, from

00:13:43 --> 00:13:49
			Bangladesh. This is, again very
nice kind of dressing. The

00:13:49 --> 00:13:55
			hisallah wore a thub, which is
what we call Jill bab. Hisallah

00:13:55 --> 00:13:59
			wore what's called Al badlah, or
like a suit, something like a

00:13:59 --> 00:14:02
			suit, that was again common at
this time, sallAllahu, alayhi wa

00:14:02 --> 00:14:08
			sallam. So again, when people say,
what is the Islamic dress? There's

00:14:08 --> 00:14:13
			nothing as such. The Islamic dress
is basically it has to satisfy

00:14:13 --> 00:14:18
			certain conditions. These
conditions are to cover all our to

00:14:18 --> 00:14:25
			be not too tight and not to be
transparent. These are basically

00:14:25 --> 00:14:30
			the conditions. And for the men,
it cannot be silk, for example. So

00:14:30 --> 00:14:35
			and for the women, Allah subhanahu
wa clarified what the dress code

00:14:35 --> 00:14:39
			would be as Rasulullah sallallahu
mentioned in the Hadith to as say

00:14:39 --> 00:14:45
			the Asmaa al the his the sister of
Sayyida, I shall and the daughter

00:14:45 --> 00:14:50
			of Sayyidina Abu Bakr that when a
woman reaches puberty, her face

00:14:50 --> 00:14:54
			and the palms of their hands are
the only thing that would that

00:14:54 --> 00:14:57
			that should be exposed. So again,

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59
			understanding the.

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04
			Dress code that Allah subhanahu wa
has revealed to us. This is again,

00:15:04 --> 00:15:08
			a sign of obedience to Allah
subhanahu wa and a sign of Taqwa

00:15:08 --> 00:15:10
			mindfulness of Allah subhanahu

00:15:12 --> 00:15:19
			wa then takes us to scenes from
the day of judgment, as I

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21
			mentioned at the beginning

00:15:22 --> 00:15:26
			of the Surah Al araf, where Allah
subhanahu wa brings the

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30
			confrontation between three groups
of people as hab al Jannah,

00:15:31 --> 00:15:38
			as habnar and Al araf, the people
of Al araf, the people of Jannah,

00:15:38 --> 00:15:42
			they are seeing what's happening
on the other side in the hellfire.

00:15:43 --> 00:15:47
			And they are telling the people of
the Hellfire, this is we have

00:15:47 --> 00:15:52
			found what Allah subhanahu wa has
promised us, which is this

00:15:52 --> 00:15:56
			enjoyment in paradise. And they
look at the people of the Hellfire

00:15:56 --> 00:16:01
			asking them, have you found what
Allah subhanahu wa has promised

00:16:01 --> 00:16:05
			you, has truly promised you,
qalunam, yes, indeed, we have

00:16:05 --> 00:16:10
			found what Allah subhanahu wa has
promised and warned the non

00:16:10 --> 00:16:15
			believers as what their abode
might be. We are. They are in that

00:16:15 --> 00:16:19
			hellfire. So they are feeling it.
They are living it, not only

00:16:19 --> 00:16:25
			seeing it. And that's when Allah
subhanahu wa sends a caller to

00:16:25 --> 00:16:33
			call Allah, not curse SubhanAllah.
Be on those oppressors who were

00:16:33 --> 00:16:38
			unfair and injust against Allah
subhanahu wa and against fellow

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41
			human beings and against their own
selves by not believing in Allah

00:16:41 --> 00:16:44
			subhanahu wa, they are oppressing
their own selves, first and

00:16:44 --> 00:16:45
			foremost.

00:16:47 --> 00:16:49
			And then the people of

00:16:51 --> 00:16:57
			Jahannam look at the people of Al
araf, and they tell them, You are

00:16:57 --> 00:17:02
			good. You claim to be good in this
life, and yet your good behavior

00:17:02 --> 00:17:07
			didn't even end up taking you to
paradise. And the people of Allah

00:17:07 --> 00:17:10
			would look around them see the
enjoyment of the people of

00:17:10 --> 00:17:13
			Paradise, and they would ask Allah
subhanahu wa

00:17:14 --> 00:17:19
			to protect them from the hellfire
and to grant them paradise. And

00:17:19 --> 00:17:24
			Allah subhanahu wa, with his mercy
and generosity, would take them to

00:17:24 --> 00:17:29
			paradise. Rasulallah, hisallahu
alays a very beautiful Hadith

00:17:29 --> 00:17:35
			where he's talking about the last
believer to be in the hellfire.

00:17:35 --> 00:17:39
			And again, can believers get into
the hellfire? Yes, if they have a

00:17:39 --> 00:17:44
			lot of sins, they have to be these
sins have to be cleaned, cleansed,

00:17:44 --> 00:17:48
			wiped out first and then. They
have a price to pay for these

00:17:48 --> 00:17:53
			sins. But if they have in their
hearts and in their minds, LA,

00:17:53 --> 00:17:57
			ILAHA, illallah, Muhammad,
Rasulullah, this is the Saving

00:17:57 --> 00:18:01
			Word, if they do have it in their
hearts, then Allah subhanahu wa

00:18:01 --> 00:18:06
			His mercy eventually will extract
them out of the Hellfire, cleanse

00:18:06 --> 00:18:10
			them first, and then, with his
generosity and mercy, would take

00:18:10 --> 00:18:14
			them to paradise. So rasulallah
narrates, in the meaning of the

00:18:14 --> 00:18:19
			Hadith, that the last person, the
last believer, to be taken out of

00:18:19 --> 00:18:20
			the Hellfire,

00:18:21 --> 00:18:25
			they would see people going
gradually in groups based on the

00:18:25 --> 00:18:29
			levels of deeds that they have
done, until very few would be

00:18:29 --> 00:18:32
			left. And they would keep
supplicating to Allah subhanahu

00:18:32 --> 00:18:35
			wa. And after a time that only
Allah subhanahu wa knows, Allah

00:18:35 --> 00:18:40
			subhanahu wa extract them out of
this * fire, so they would be

00:18:40 --> 00:18:44
			satisfied just to be out of the
Hellfire. They would be satisfied.

00:18:44 --> 00:18:47
			But the human is greedy, they
would smell the fragrance of

00:18:47 --> 00:18:52
			paradise coming from the distance
of several years walking. So they

00:18:52 --> 00:18:55
			would smell the fragrance of
paradise. They would ask, Allah,

00:18:55 --> 00:18:59
			Subhanahu, WA Allah, with your
mercy and generosity that you have

00:18:59 --> 00:19:03
			saved us from the hellfire, can
you take us a little bit closer to

00:19:03 --> 00:19:07
			paradise so that we can enjoy the
fragrance that's all we wish for

00:19:07 --> 00:19:11
			Allah subhanahu wa, with his
mercy, would draw them closer to

00:19:11 --> 00:19:16
			Paradise, and now they can start
seeing what's in paradise, the

00:19:16 --> 00:19:20
			lights, the beauty, whatever ALLAH
SubhanA wa Taala has prepared for

00:19:20 --> 00:19:24
			his obedient servants. And they
would ask Allah subhanahu wa,

00:19:24 --> 00:19:28
			Allah, can we just get closer to
see what in detail, what's in

00:19:28 --> 00:19:32
			there? And Allah subhanahu wa
would take them closer.

00:19:33 --> 00:19:39
			And now their hearts are torn.
They feel gratitude because they

00:19:39 --> 00:19:43
			were saved from the hellfire, but
at the same time, they have this

00:19:43 --> 00:19:47
			longing for getting into paradise
and enjoying what Allah subhanahu

00:19:47 --> 00:19:52
			wa has set in there. And Allah
subhana wa Taala sees that

00:19:52 --> 00:19:57
			longing, and Allah subhanahu wa
would ask that individual, would

00:19:57 --> 00:19:59
			you be satisfied? How.

00:20:00 --> 00:20:06
			Having whatever the richest man on
earth, the most tempered man on

00:20:06 --> 00:20:12
			earth, had during his life on
earth, and the person would say,

00:20:12 --> 00:20:17
			oh, Allah, you are the avim, you
are the Halim, you are the Kareem.

00:20:17 --> 00:20:21
			Are you mocking me? Where am I
from that

00:20:22 --> 00:20:27
			it's enough for me that you saved
me from the hellfire. You made me

00:20:27 --> 00:20:30
			smell the fragrance of paradise.
You brought me close to paradise.

00:20:30 --> 00:20:34
			How can I ask for that? Are you
asked me? Of course, I would be

00:20:34 --> 00:20:38
			satisfied with whatever the
richest man or the most prosperous

00:20:38 --> 00:20:43
			man on earth had, and Allah
subhanahu wa, with his mercy and

00:20:43 --> 00:20:47
			generosity, would say, you have
that and it's equal, and it's

00:20:47 --> 00:20:51
			equal and it's equal. And Allah
subhana wa Taala would say that

00:20:51 --> 00:20:57
			probably up to 10 times. So that's
for the last person to be granted

00:20:58 --> 00:21:00
			paradise. What do you think about

00:21:01 --> 00:21:06
			the higher ones. This is something
that we should put in our minds.

00:21:06 --> 00:21:10
			First of all, when we ask Allah
subhanahu wa, we should be greedy.

00:21:10 --> 00:21:14
			We should be greedy when we deal
with Allah subhanahu wa, asking

00:21:14 --> 00:21:19
			for more and doing more again,
asking to ask for the Mercy of

00:21:19 --> 00:21:23
			Allah subhanahu wa, for these
deeds to be accepted and ALLAH

00:21:23 --> 00:21:25
			SubhanA wa Taala rewarding us.

00:21:28 --> 00:21:32
			Allah subhanahu wa then takes us
to another beautiful set of ayat

00:21:32 --> 00:21:41
			in Nara, akumala, again, talking
about Allah subhanahu wa,

00:22:00 --> 00:22:12
			Allah subhanahu wa tells us that
He is the One Who created the

00:22:12 --> 00:22:16
			heavens and the earth in six days,
and then he Subhana wa Taala

00:22:16 --> 00:22:21
			settled on the throne again. How
is that? It is something that only

00:22:21 --> 00:22:25
			Allah subhanahu wa knows,
something that is fit for the

00:22:25 --> 00:22:29
			Majesty of Allah subhanahu wa
Subhana wa Taala tells us that

00:22:29 --> 00:22:34
			he's making the night pursue the
day and the day pursuing the

00:22:34 --> 00:22:38
			night, that rotation of day and
night. Yokshi, Layla Nahar, he

00:22:38 --> 00:22:44
			lets the night cover the light of
the day, gradually. Ya the word

00:22:44 --> 00:22:48
			haitan, by the way, is a very
interesting in the Arabic word in

00:22:48 --> 00:22:52
			the Arabic language, because the
word hafit and in itself, is one

00:22:52 --> 00:22:58
			word and it's opposite. So you can
say hafit means slowly, or you can

00:22:58 --> 00:23:02
			say hafit means quickly. It
depends on the context in which it

00:23:02 --> 00:23:03
			comes

00:23:04 --> 00:23:08
			and Allah subhanahu wa tells us
about the other creatures, washem

00:23:08 --> 00:23:12
			Saul Kamara and nujuma Musa kharat
in the Embry that the sun, the

00:23:12 --> 00:23:18
			moon and the stars are following a
prescribed path that Allah

00:23:18 --> 00:23:23
			subhanahu wa has prescribed for
them. And Allah subhanahu wa tells

00:23:23 --> 00:23:27
			us about another one of his
miracles that he Subhanallah,

00:23:27 --> 00:23:32
			sends the winds. And the winds
would draw, or would push the

00:23:32 --> 00:23:37
			clouds, and these clouds would
accumulate in a certain way, would

00:23:37 --> 00:23:41
			start collecting in a certain way,
and then rain would come down from

00:23:41 --> 00:23:46
			these clouds, and this rain would
come and revive the earth that is

00:23:46 --> 00:24:00
			dead, And the good land would
bring what Allah subhanahu

00:24:01 --> 00:24:04
			wa the

00:24:05 --> 00:24:11
			examples that even the land does
not respond in exactly the same

00:24:11 --> 00:24:17
			way to rain. Some lands absorb the
strain, like in sand, and it

00:24:17 --> 00:24:21
			percolates and it forms
groundwater. Some land, like

00:24:21 --> 00:24:26
			rocks, rain just flows on top of
this land to form rivers. And some

00:24:26 --> 00:24:30
			lands that have the seeds, or are
prepared to grow plants absorb

00:24:30 --> 00:24:36
			this rain. And you can see green
color coming out of this land. And

00:24:36 --> 00:24:40
			you can feel that there's a
metaphor here that again, the

00:24:40 --> 00:24:43
			Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam talks about that in one of

00:24:43 --> 00:24:48
			his Ahadith, that the hearts of
people are just like different

00:24:48 --> 00:24:53
			kinds of land. There are hearts
like that are like rock. When

00:24:53 --> 00:24:57
			water drops on this land, it just
reflect off of it, and it leaves

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59
			that rock without any a.

00:25:00 --> 00:25:06
			A growing greenery. Other lands,
when they receive that train, they

00:25:06 --> 00:25:10
			absorb it and they keep it. Maybe
it's like keeping the knowledge,

00:25:10 --> 00:25:13
			learning that knowledge and
accumulating that knowledge. But

00:25:13 --> 00:25:18
			other lands, which are the best
are the ones that germinate plants

00:25:18 --> 00:25:23
			and flowers and vegetables and
crops out of it, so it's

00:25:23 --> 00:25:27
			beneficial to people. The second
type, which is the sand is good

00:25:27 --> 00:25:32
			because it up, it withholds the
water for future use. But the best

00:25:32 --> 00:25:36
			type is the one that shows
immediate result out of out of

00:25:36 --> 00:25:42
			that rain and out of the knowledge
to the human heart that comes the

00:25:42 --> 00:25:46
			some of the hafad, for example,
they can retain this knowledge,

00:25:47 --> 00:25:52
			and some of the would take that
retained knowledge and logic and

00:25:52 --> 00:25:56
			explain it to people. And that
would be the land that would be

00:25:56 --> 00:26:00
			fertile and would generate crops
that people can benefit from

00:26:02 --> 00:26:06
			Allah subhanahu wa taala then
takes us to the stories of the

00:26:06 --> 00:26:09
			different prophets and messengers.
And we're gonna notice that in

00:26:09 --> 00:26:13
			most of the cases, they come in a
certain sequence, starting mostly

00:26:13 --> 00:26:17
			with Sayyidina nuhala, Nabi na
Ali, salatu salaam, then Sayyidina

00:26:17 --> 00:26:22
			HUD then Sayyid no Salih, and then
sometimes Sayyidina Ibrahim and

00:26:22 --> 00:26:26
			Sayyidina LUT and then going back
to Sayyidina shraip, and then

00:26:26 --> 00:26:30
			Sayyidina Musa, Allah, nabiina,
ali Abu salatu, Salam. We're gonna

00:26:30 --> 00:26:34
			notice that pattern in many sower
starting with surat al arav, we're

00:26:34 --> 00:26:38
			gonna sign the similar find the
similar pattern in Surat wood,

00:26:38 --> 00:26:41
			we're gonna find the similar
pattern in Surat shara, for

00:26:41 --> 00:26:46
			example, sometimes with a slight
change of the order of listing of

00:26:46 --> 00:26:50
			these prophets, but you always
find, for example, in most of the

00:26:50 --> 00:26:54
			cases, Sayyidina. So following
Sayyidina hood, Sayyidina Lud,

00:26:54 --> 00:26:58
			following Sayyidina Ibrahim, and
so on and so forth. So here Allah

00:26:58 --> 00:27:01
			subhana wa Taala is telling us
about these different nations and

00:27:01 --> 00:27:07
			how the story is the same. Truth
comes from Allah subhanahu wa

00:27:07 --> 00:27:11
			prophet. He advises his people, he
reminds them of their major sin

00:27:11 --> 00:27:15
			that they are committing. They
reject that Prophet with a certain

00:27:15 --> 00:27:18
			claim. Allah subhanahu wa gives
them and ultimate them through

00:27:18 --> 00:27:22
			that Prophet a fair warning. They
do not listen to that warning,

00:27:23 --> 00:27:26
			ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala inflicts
his punishment. Punishment upon

00:27:26 --> 00:27:31
			them. The believers are saved. The
non believers perished, and life

00:27:31 --> 00:27:35
			continues, and then another cycle
starts. If people learn their

00:27:35 --> 00:27:39
			lesson, they would understand that
these people were destroyed for

00:27:39 --> 00:27:42
			such and such reason, but
unfortunately, most of them

00:27:42 --> 00:27:47
			forget, and they start repeating
the same pattern again, and the

00:27:47 --> 00:27:51
			cycle restarts and ends exactly
the same way. So ALLAH SubhanA wa

00:27:51 --> 00:27:55
			Taala here tells us about the
story of Sayyidina Nuh, and then

00:27:55 --> 00:28:00
			Sayyidina HUD and then Sayyidina
Salih, and again, each one with

00:28:00 --> 00:28:03
			some details, not the full
details. We have, for example, in

00:28:03 --> 00:28:06
			Suratul, a little bit more detail
about Sayyidina, who then is named

00:28:06 --> 00:28:10
			after him. We have in surat al
Hajj, for example, something about

00:28:10 --> 00:28:14
			Sayyidina salah. We have in Surat
Nuh more details about Sayyidina,

00:28:14 --> 00:28:18
			muhallah, Nabi na Ali, salatu,
Salam and so on and so forth. So

00:28:18 --> 00:28:21
			we learn, and we have learned
different chapters from the story

00:28:21 --> 00:28:26
			of Sayyidina Ibrahim, and
especially the most repeated story

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29
			in the Quran, the story of
Sayyidina Musa, Alain Nabi na Ali

00:28:29 --> 00:28:34
			salatu salaam, which comes as also
a large block in surat al arav

00:28:34 --> 00:28:38
			where Allah subhana wa Taala tells
us about the plight of Sayyidina

00:28:38 --> 00:28:43
			Musa with his people before being
saved from Iran and after being

00:28:43 --> 00:28:48
			saved from Iran, because that was
not the end of the struggle of

00:28:48 --> 00:28:51
			Sayyidina, Musa, Alain, Nabi na
Ali Sarab wa salam with his

00:28:51 --> 00:28:55
			people. Part of it was to save
them from the tyranny of Iran, but

00:28:55 --> 00:29:00
			the larger part was after being
saved when they started arguing

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02
			and they started rebelling against
Allah subhanho wa

00:29:04 --> 00:29:08
			taala. Subhana wa Taala gives us a
special chapter of the time when

00:29:08 --> 00:29:13
			Sayyidina Musa Al and abhinavali
salatu, Salam faced firaoun, and

00:29:13 --> 00:29:16
			the dialog that took place between
faraun and Sayyidina Musa, we're

00:29:16 --> 00:29:22
			gonna find a very large similarity
between this dialog in Surat Al

00:29:22 --> 00:29:27
			araf and a very similar one in
Surat Shahra. Later on, we're

00:29:27 --> 00:29:30
			gonna talk about it inshaAllah,
there are some subtle differences

00:29:30 --> 00:29:34
			in the wording, but the general
meaning is almost the same. And at

00:29:34 --> 00:29:38
			the end of that discussion,
Sayyidina, Musa, Alain, Nabi

00:29:38 --> 00:29:43
			navari, saratosa, Lam got out of
Egypt with his people, and ALLAH

00:29:43 --> 00:29:46
			SubhanA wa Taala saved them
through the miracle that we know

00:29:46 --> 00:29:50
			of that ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala
allowed Sayyidina Musa with his

00:29:50 --> 00:29:53
			cane, to hit the sea, and the sea
split. Sayyidina Musa and his

00:29:53 --> 00:29:58
			followers passed safely. Faraon
was stranded in between when the

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59
			sea closed again on him.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:04
			Him, and he drowned, and his
people and Allah subhanahu wa, as

00:30:04 --> 00:30:09
			we're gonna see later on in Surat
Yusuf, Surat Yunus miracle allowed

00:30:09 --> 00:30:12
			for the body of Iran to be
retrieved so that people would see

00:30:12 --> 00:30:16
			what happened to him, to this man
who claimed to be the supreme

00:30:16 --> 00:30:20
			deity, how Allah subhanahu wa
destroyed him, so that no one

00:30:20 --> 00:30:22
			would have any doubt about the
faith of Iran.

00:30:23 --> 00:30:27
			Sayyidina Musa Alayna bin alayhi
salawala Salam tells his people

00:30:27 --> 00:30:31
			something very beautiful here,
when they complained to him,

00:30:31 --> 00:30:35
			saying that we were suffering for
a long time before you came to us,

00:30:36 --> 00:30:39
			and even after you came to us, we
are still suffering under the

00:30:39 --> 00:30:44
			tyranny of Iran, the command or
the words of Sayyidina, Musa

00:30:44 --> 00:30:49
			Alain, Nabi na Ali, salatu, salam,
qalamus Ali, call me is the inubil

00:30:49 --> 00:30:50
			he was Beru

00:30:51 --> 00:30:56
			be on the remedy that I have for
you is seek the support of Allah,

00:30:56 --> 00:31:02
			Subhanahu wa and endure patience.
Why in the body. Ultimately, this

00:31:02 --> 00:31:06
			land belongs to Allah subhana wa
taala. It does not belong to

00:31:06 --> 00:31:09
			firaoun. Does not belong to a
certain army or a certain nation

00:31:09 --> 00:31:18
			or a certain flag. It belongs to
Allah subhanahu wa tapine, Allah

00:31:18 --> 00:31:23
			subhana wa Taala makes whom ever
he Subhana wa Taala wills inherit

00:31:23 --> 00:31:28
			this land, and ultimately the
supremacy in the end are gonna be

00:31:28 --> 00:31:30
			for Al mutakin.

00:31:31 --> 00:31:36
			And then, after they were saved
from firaoun, very interesting

00:31:36 --> 00:31:40
			thing happened as soon as they
crossed the sea, when their feet

00:31:40 --> 00:31:44
			were still wet from crossing that
sea. They passed by a certain

00:31:44 --> 00:31:50
			village that was worshiping idols.
Who saved you from from firao and

00:31:50 --> 00:31:53
			who saved you from drowning,
Allah, Subhanahu wa and now you

00:31:53 --> 00:31:58
			see people worshiping idols. What
would be the logical thing to say

00:31:58 --> 00:32:01
			at that time? These people do not
know. Let's inform them about the

00:32:01 --> 00:32:05
			wrongdoing worshiping idol instead
of worshiping Allah subhanaw

00:32:05 --> 00:32:09
			taala. But look at the behavior of
many Israel, halluyah, Musa,

00:32:10 --> 00:32:16
			Ilana, ILA and Kamala omusa. Carve
for us, or make for us an idol to

00:32:16 --> 00:32:18
			worship, just like these people
are worshiping that idol.

00:32:19 --> 00:32:21
			What kind of logic is that?

00:32:22 --> 00:32:26
			And Sayyidina Musa said in Nakum
qawun tajun, what kind of

00:32:26 --> 00:32:30
			ignorance is that Allah subhanahu
wa just saved you from drowning

00:32:30 --> 00:32:34
			and saved you from tyranny of
Iran? Is that the way to pay back?

00:32:35 --> 00:32:38
			And then Sayyidina Musa, Alain
Nabi no Ali salatu wasallam went

00:32:38 --> 00:32:41
			to receive the revelation from
Allah subhanahu wa, and the

00:32:41 --> 00:32:45
			tablets with the Commandments from
Allah subhanahu wa, he went, and

00:32:45 --> 00:32:49
			he was absent from his people for
40 days, or where adna, Musa,

00:32:49 --> 00:32:55
			Felina Laylat and wat mam, Nabi
Ashin, Patan, Mami katur And

00:32:55 --> 00:32:59
			Sayyidina. Musa entrusted his
brother, Sayyidina, Harun, alabina

00:32:59 --> 00:33:04
			Ali, salatu wa salam, he told him,
keep my people under your control.

00:33:04 --> 00:33:10
			Keep them united. Do not make them
differ. I know their behavior.

00:33:10 --> 00:33:13
			They're gonna keep arguing, but
try as much as you can to keep

00:33:13 --> 00:33:17
			them united. And the people of
Sayyidina, Musa, we know as Sam

00:33:17 --> 00:33:22
			Ray, that person who came and he
carved. He told them, You have

00:33:22 --> 00:33:26
			carried a lot of jewelry from
Egypt on your way out. Throw it in

00:33:26 --> 00:33:29
			the hellfire. I'm gonna make an A
god for you. You are asking Musa

00:33:29 --> 00:33:34
			for a god. I'm gonna make one for
you. Throw your jewelry in the

00:33:34 --> 00:33:38
			hellfire. I'm gonna carve out of
gold a God for you. And he made a

00:33:38 --> 00:33:42
			statue of a calf with two
openings, one in the front end and

00:33:42 --> 00:33:46
			one in the back end. When the wind
would flow through that body of

00:33:46 --> 00:33:50
			that calf, it would make a sound.
So people would think that he's

00:33:50 --> 00:33:51
			talking to them,

00:33:52 --> 00:33:58
			and they kept worshiping it. What
can say to us? Salam, do? He could

00:33:58 --> 00:34:01
			have told them this is wrong. Some
people would follow him, some

00:34:01 --> 00:34:05
			people would not follow Him, so
they would be split. This is

00:34:05 --> 00:34:09
			against the advice of Sayyidina
Musa, and the reminder of

00:34:09 --> 00:34:12
			Sayyidina Musa keep them united.
So When Sayyidina Musa, Alayna bin

00:34:12 --> 00:34:15
			Ali, salatu salam came back and he
found some of his people

00:34:15 --> 00:34:20
			worshiping that calf. In anger, he
threw the tablets, these tablets

00:34:20 --> 00:34:23
			that had the guidance from Allah
subhanahu wa, he threw the

00:34:23 --> 00:34:26
			tablets, and he took his brother
from his beard, and he pulled him

00:34:26 --> 00:34:30
			towards him. What happened to you?
Didn't I tell you to keep them

00:34:30 --> 00:34:33
			straight and Sayyidina, Harun
alabi Na, Adi salatu wa, Salam

00:34:33 --> 00:34:38
			told him I was afraid that if I
tried to re correct them, they

00:34:38 --> 00:34:42
			would be split, and I was hoping
that you would come back soon and

00:34:42 --> 00:34:47
			you would be able to reunite them.
And then Sayyidina Musa exposed

00:34:47 --> 00:34:53
			that fallacy of as and his
wrongdoing. And Sayyidina Musa,

00:34:53 --> 00:34:59
			Alain Nabi na Ali saratosa, as a
sign of repentance, took 70 of his

00:34:59 --> 00:34:59
			people to.

00:35:00 --> 00:35:04
			The Mountain to supplicate to
Allah subhanahu wa to forgive

00:35:04 --> 00:35:07
			them. And when they were on the
mountain, the mountain shook with

00:35:07 --> 00:35:12
			these people. And Sayyidina Musa
recognized that this is a sign of

00:35:12 --> 00:35:15
			the Wrath of Allah subhana wa
taala, this displeasure of Allah

00:35:15 --> 00:35:22
			subhanahu wa, so he pleaded to
Allah subhanahu wa,

00:35:23 --> 00:35:30
			in here, 11 took to the lubi
hamantasha, what a demon to share.

00:35:31 --> 00:35:34
			And tawali, you know Fauci Lena or
him now. And,

00:35:35 --> 00:35:38
			Oh Allah, you could have destroyed
them before, and you could have

00:35:38 --> 00:35:40
			destroyed me before. It is your
trial,

00:35:41 --> 00:35:46
			you guide whomever you want, and
you set astray whoever deserves to

00:35:46 --> 00:35:52
			be to go astray, and those who
have selected to go astray

00:35:53 --> 00:35:58
			do not destroy us because what The
fools among us have done, and this

00:35:58 --> 00:36:02
			is the responsibility of enjoining
good and forbidding evil in one

00:36:02 --> 00:36:05
			beautiful area in Surat.

00:36:06 --> 00:36:10
			We're going to talk about it later
on. What the covid 19, let us even

00:36:10 --> 00:36:18
			come hassa, what the covid 19? Let
us even come hassa, beware of a

00:36:18 --> 00:36:23
			trial that may not destroy only
the oppressors, but it's also

00:36:23 --> 00:36:29
			going to destroy those who sat
idle, those who just watched

00:36:29 --> 00:36:32
			without trying to do the right
thing. And Allah subhanahu wa

00:36:32 --> 00:36:37
			gives us the example, also in
surat al arav after telling us

00:36:37 --> 00:36:42
			about the story of Sayyidina Musa,
another chapter in the story of

00:36:42 --> 00:36:47
			Sayyidina Musa also basically, but
before we go there, that beautiful

00:36:47 --> 00:36:50
			area from Allah

00:36:51 --> 00:36:52
			subhanahu

00:36:54 --> 00:36:55
			wa

00:36:56 --> 00:37:03
			that my wrath is gonna be
inflicted or on those that I

00:37:03 --> 00:37:07
			choose, those who have selected to
disobey Allah subhanahu wa will

00:37:07 --> 00:37:10
			bear the recipients of the Wrath
of Allah, subhana wa taala, but

00:37:10 --> 00:37:15
			his mercy, subhanAllah, as he
says, WA rahmati, huasihat, Kul ya

00:37:15 --> 00:37:21
			Shahid, and my mercy is so wide,
so vast, it can encompass in can

00:37:21 --> 00:37:25
			income. It can encompass
everything who is going to be

00:37:26 --> 00:37:30
			deserving of that mercy. FASA

00:37:35 --> 00:37:39
			grant this mercy for those who are
mindful of ALLAH SubhanA wa taala,

00:37:39 --> 00:37:43
			for those who fear Allah subhanahu
wa, for those who pay their Zakat

00:37:44 --> 00:37:48
			and who spend from what We have
provided them with. Who are these?

00:37:49 --> 00:37:54
			Look at the next ayah, Al ladhina
at Abu na Rasul and Nabil umay.

00:37:55 --> 00:37:58
			Some. Some people, when they
recite this ayah, they recite it

00:37:58 --> 00:38:02
			incorrectly by saying, well,
ladina tab your own. It's not

00:38:02 --> 00:38:06
			where it is eladina, who are those
who are mentioned in the first

00:38:06 --> 00:38:11
			area. Precisely they are the ones
who follow this prophet,

00:38:11 --> 00:38:14
			illiterate Prophet, sallAllahu,
alayhi wa sallam, a Rasul, the

00:38:14 --> 00:38:18
			Prophet, the messenger, the
illiterate, a lady a jeduna, whom

00:38:18 --> 00:38:26
			ain't fit, one in jealma of your
in home and in munkar. Let he

00:38:27 --> 00:38:34
			cannot tell him. So for those who
choose to follow that Prophet,

00:38:34 --> 00:38:38
			sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam, these
are the ones who are gonna be

00:38:38 --> 00:38:43
			deserving of the Mercy of Allah
subhanahu wa now ALLAH SubhanA wa

00:38:43 --> 00:38:50
			Taala says in another area, wamir
Rasul in illalio, Abu ID Nila that

00:38:50 --> 00:38:55
			no Prophet was sent in vain. No
Prophet was sent as an optional

00:38:55 --> 00:39:00
			thing, whether people to fall for,
for people to follow him or not.

00:39:00 --> 00:39:05
			It is not a choice for people.
When a prophet is sent, they the

00:39:05 --> 00:39:08
			only thing that they can do is to
follow that prophet. When

00:39:08 --> 00:39:13
			Sayyidina nuhala Nabi na Ali Salat
was sent, he was sent with Islam.

00:39:13 --> 00:39:17
			When Sayyidina Musa Alain Nabi na
Ali sarato Salaam was sent, he was

00:39:17 --> 00:39:26
			sent with Islam. When Sayyidina is
sent, to Islam. And one rasulallah

00:39:26 --> 00:39:31
			sent, he was sent to culminate
that Islam. That's why Allah

00:39:31 --> 00:39:39
			subhanahu wa told us, in Surat Al
Imran, in Nadina, Islam truly the

00:39:39 --> 00:39:44
			way of life that is accepted to
Allah subhanahu wa is Al Islam,

00:39:44 --> 00:39:50
			and in another area also that
comes in Surat Ali, Imran wameen

00:39:50 --> 00:39:56
			and Fellaini yok Amin Hu wahoki,
min al khasireen, those who seek

00:39:56 --> 00:39:59
			any way of life apart from Islam.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			Will not be accepted from them,
and in the Hereafter they would be

00:40:04 --> 00:40:07
			among the losers. Which Islam are
we talking about? We're talking

00:40:07 --> 00:40:11
			about the Islam in its
comprehensive sense, the Islam of

00:40:11 --> 00:40:15
			Sayyidina Nuh, the Islam of
Sayyidina Ibrahim, the Islam of

00:40:15 --> 00:40:19
			Sayyidina Musa, Sayyidina Isa and
all the other prophets, Alayna bin

00:40:19 --> 00:40:23
			Ali, salatu, salaam. And the final
form, the conclusive and

00:40:23 --> 00:40:26
			comprehensive form of that Islam,
is what the Prophet sallallahu

00:40:26 --> 00:40:30
			alayhi wa sallam came with from
Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:40:31 --> 00:40:34
			Allah subhanho wa Taala takes us
to another chapter in the story of

00:40:34 --> 00:40:39
			Bani Israel, and that's a very
warning chapter, or part story,

00:40:39 --> 00:40:42
			where Allah subhanahu wa standing
us about that village, that

00:40:42 --> 00:40:46
			village of fishermen that were
living by a body of water. Their

00:40:46 --> 00:40:50
			main source of sustenance was
fishing. And then Allah subhana wa

00:40:50 --> 00:40:53
			taala, they were followers of
Sayyidina Musa. So ALLAH SubhanA

00:40:53 --> 00:40:57
			wa Taala commanded them to rest on
their Sabbath, on their Saturday.

00:40:58 --> 00:41:03
			What do you mean by that, it means
that they should not do any

00:41:03 --> 00:41:07
			worldly thing on that Sabbath.
They should dedicate that day to

00:41:07 --> 00:41:12
			the worship of Allah subhanahu wa.
And this was sort of a rebellious

00:41:12 --> 00:41:16
			village, so Allah subhanahu wa
wanted to test them, or Allah

00:41:16 --> 00:41:20
			subhanahu Wald to test them. So
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala would make

00:41:20 --> 00:41:22
			the fish disappear six days of the
week,

00:41:23 --> 00:41:28
			Sunday through Friday, no fish.
When would fish start appearing?

00:41:28 --> 00:41:33
			Friday evening, the beginning of
the Sabbath. Saturday morning. The

00:41:33 --> 00:41:36
			fish is swimming on the surface of
the water. It could be caught with

00:41:36 --> 00:41:41
			the hand. So what do they do if
they fish on Friday evening or

00:41:41 --> 00:41:46
			Saturday, that would be forbidden
if they do not fish, that they do

00:41:46 --> 00:41:49
			not find any food. And that was a
sort of a test or a punishment

00:41:49 --> 00:41:53
			from Allah subhanahu wa. Some of
the evil people came up with a

00:41:54 --> 00:41:59
			evil genius idea, evil from the
shaytaan. They said, Let's build

00:41:59 --> 00:42:00
			some basins.

00:42:01 --> 00:42:08
			Some enclosures, and build some
gates. The fish would come on

00:42:08 --> 00:42:14
			Friday evening and enter these
gates to these basins. And then as

00:42:14 --> 00:42:18
			soon as they enter on Friday
evening and Saturday morning, we

00:42:18 --> 00:42:23
			would lock these gates so the fish
would be enclosed and confined in

00:42:23 --> 00:42:28
			these basins. Once Saturday,
sunset is over, the Sabbath is

00:42:28 --> 00:42:33
			over, we can go ahead and fish
that fish easily, like fishing

00:42:33 --> 00:42:37
			from a barrel, basically, so we
can catch that fish. What did they

00:42:37 --> 00:42:42
			do? Allah subhanaw taala told
them, do not do any earthly thing.

00:42:42 --> 00:42:45
			Just devote that to the worship of
Allah subhana, building the

00:42:45 --> 00:42:49
			basins, opening the gates, closing
the gates, all of that stuff. This

00:42:49 --> 00:42:52
			is doing an earthly thing. So
that's a disobedience to Allah

00:42:52 --> 00:42:57
			subhanahu. The people now were
three groups. People witnessing

00:42:57 --> 00:43:02
			this event were three groups. One
group said, Let's build these

00:43:02 --> 00:43:06
			basins and build the doors, and
they control that flow of fish in

00:43:06 --> 00:43:09
			and out. And these were a
minority.

00:43:10 --> 00:43:15
			There was another minority that
said, This is wrong. This is a you

00:43:15 --> 00:43:19
			are playing games with Allah
subhanahu wa should not do that.

00:43:19 --> 00:43:23
			That's forbidden. And these were
few, but the majority

00:43:24 --> 00:43:28
			did not, did not do the first
thing and did not do the third

00:43:28 --> 00:43:32
			thing. They just started watching.
They said, idol and watched. They

00:43:32 --> 00:43:36
			said, let's see what's gonna
happen. Now, if these people are

00:43:36 --> 00:43:39
			successful, maybe we're gonna do
like them. We're gonna eat that

00:43:39 --> 00:43:43
			fish. But they did not forbid
these people and say, tell them

00:43:43 --> 00:43:47
			that this is unlawful. So Allah
subhanahu wa is telling us about

00:43:47 --> 00:43:51
			their story in the Quran and about
the punishment. When the

00:43:51 --> 00:43:55
			punishment came, Allah subhanahu
wa mentioned only two groups of

00:43:55 --> 00:43:58
			the three, not all three of them.
Allah subhanahu wa punished the

00:43:58 --> 00:44:03
			perpetrators who who built these
bases and these gates, they were

00:44:03 --> 00:44:07
			destroyed, and Allah subhanahu wa
saved the ones who enjoined good

00:44:07 --> 00:44:11
			and forbade evil. What about the
third group?

00:44:13 --> 00:44:16
			The scholars have two different
opinions. Neither of them is

00:44:16 --> 00:44:20
			comforting actually, or both of
them might be comforting to the

00:44:20 --> 00:44:25
			believers. Some of them say that,
Well, initially there were only

00:44:25 --> 00:44:30
			two groups. There were not three,
because the silent majority, by

00:44:30 --> 00:44:33
			their silence, approved the
wrongdoing. They did not do

00:44:33 --> 00:44:37
			anything to change it. So that's
why they were grouped with the

00:44:37 --> 00:44:41
			wrongdoers and destroyed with the
wrongdoers, only the people who

00:44:41 --> 00:44:44
			enjoy good and forbid evil, they
were the ones who were saved.

00:44:44 --> 00:44:47
			Other than that, there was only
one group that's one opinion, the

00:44:47 --> 00:44:51
			second opinion, which is a little
bit lenient. They say, Well, they

00:44:51 --> 00:44:55
			did not care for upholding the
rules of Allah subhanahu wa so

00:44:55 --> 00:44:58
			Allah subhana wa Taala did not
care about mentioning them. They

00:44:58 --> 00:44:59
			were negligible. They're not.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:03
			Not worthy of being mentioned in
the end of that story.

00:45:05 --> 00:45:08
			Allah subhanahu wa also tells us
the story about the person who

00:45:08 --> 00:45:11
			received knowledge from Allah
subhanahu wa, but instead of that

00:45:11 --> 00:45:15
			knowledge bringing them closer to
Allah subhanahu wa, it drove them

00:45:15 --> 00:45:19
			the opposite way. And that's the
story of another person from Beni

00:45:19 --> 00:45:23
			Israel, whose name was belaim ibn
bawah, according to most of the

00:45:23 --> 00:45:27
			narrations of the tafsir, this is
a man who received a lot of

00:45:27 --> 00:45:31
			knowledge from Allah subhanahu wa
and he was a worshiper of ALLAH

00:45:31 --> 00:45:36
			SubhanA wa taala. But again, he
got arrogant, and he had a feud

00:45:36 --> 00:45:40
			with Sayyidina, Musa, Alain Nabi
na Ali salatu, salaam, and the

00:45:40 --> 00:45:45
			army of that was fighting
Sayyidina Musa. The giants who

00:45:45 --> 00:45:49
			were fighting Sayyidina Musa and
his followers basically endorsed

00:45:49 --> 00:45:57
			or sponsored this man, bila Ibn
bawah, and asked him to supplicate

00:45:57 --> 00:46:01
			against Sayyidina Musa, since he's
a pious person, make dua to Allah

00:46:01 --> 00:46:06
			subhanahu wa against Sayyid na
Musa. And each time he would raise

00:46:06 --> 00:46:10
			his hands and to ask Allah
subhanahu wa to destroy Sayyid na

00:46:10 --> 00:46:13
			Musa and his people, he would make
dua to support Sayyid na Musa and

00:46:13 --> 00:46:18
			destroy his own side. And at the
end, he told his people, you know

00:46:18 --> 00:46:22
			what, if you want to defeat Musa
and his army, I have a solution

00:46:22 --> 00:46:25
			for you. It's the bad manners.
It's the bad morons that can

00:46:25 --> 00:46:30
			destroy the army, send your women,
let them act as prostitutes and

00:46:30 --> 00:46:34
			seduce the people in the army of
Sayyidina, Musa Alain, abhinava

00:46:34 --> 00:46:38
			Salem. So he was a messenger of
evil instead of being

00:46:39 --> 00:46:43
			an agent of good and Allah.
Subhana wa Taala describes him in

00:46:43 --> 00:46:47
			a very unique description for
metal, Luca metal, kelp, he's just

00:46:47 --> 00:46:56
			like a dog in tahilath Outta True
Metal. Dinaka will be ayat in

00:46:56 --> 00:47:01
			alamate of a Karun. He's just a
dog with its tongue out of its

00:47:01 --> 00:47:06
			mouth, panting. If you chase him,
he would be panting, and if you

00:47:06 --> 00:47:10
			leave him alone, he would still be
panting. He does not benefit of he

00:47:10 --> 00:47:14
			did not benefit from the knowledge
that Allah subhanahu wa gave him.

00:47:15 --> 00:47:19
			Allah subhanahu wa the end of the
Surah, which, again, has so many

00:47:19 --> 00:47:23
			examples and so many beautiful
stories. But for the lack of time,

00:47:23 --> 00:47:27
			we're gonna basically stop here
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala is

00:47:27 --> 00:47:35
			reminding us about the believers,
those who are mindful of Allah

00:47:36 --> 00:47:40
			subhanahu wa

00:47:41 --> 00:47:45
			those who are mindful of Allah
subhanahu wa when they are touched

00:47:45 --> 00:47:49
			by the evil of the shaytaan and
they may end up committing a

00:47:49 --> 00:47:53
			mistake as soon as they finish
committing that sin, or maybe even

00:47:54 --> 00:47:58
			in the act of committing that sin,
Allah subhanahu wa makes them

00:47:58 --> 00:48:02
			remember what they're doing, and
their conscience gets back to

00:48:02 --> 00:48:06
			them, fayda hum of SIRUM, as if
they were blind when they were

00:48:06 --> 00:48:10
			committing that sin. And they
repent to Allah subhanahu wa, and

00:48:10 --> 00:48:14
			they deserve to be described by
Allah subhanahu wa, as

00:48:15 --> 00:48:20
			Rasulullah Sallam says, in the
meaning of the Hadith that a

00:48:20 --> 00:48:26
			sinner does not sin while he is a
believer, belief or faith is sort

00:48:26 --> 00:48:31
			of lifted above their head when
they are committing that sin, so

00:48:31 --> 00:48:34
			when they steal, when they commit
adultery and when they do, measure

00:48:34 --> 00:48:40
			sins as if faith has been elevated
over above their heads if they

00:48:40 --> 00:48:44
			repent to Allah subhanahu wa and
wake up to their senses, that

00:48:44 --> 00:48:49
			faith gets back to them. And if
they insist and indulge in what

00:48:49 --> 00:48:52
			they are doing, and they do not
repent to Allah subhanahu, maybe

00:48:52 --> 00:48:55
			gradually, that faith is going to
evaporate and it's going to

00:48:55 --> 00:48:58
			disappear, and they're going to be
and they're going to end up

00:48:59 --> 00:49:02
			completely away from the path of
Allah subhana wa taala. Allah

00:49:02 --> 00:49:07
			subhanahu wa give us this
beautiful remembrance to recognize

00:49:07 --> 00:49:11
			and to think and to ponder. So
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala is telling

00:49:11 --> 00:49:16
			us about listening to that
remembrance. Waidakuri Al Quran,

00:49:16 --> 00:49:20
			WA Ida Hari Al Quran of estemi,
Allahu ANSI to La Allah kuntur

00:49:20 --> 00:49:25
			Hammond, when the Quran is
recited, listen to it. Hear it and

00:49:25 --> 00:49:29
			listen to it. First time ya Allahu
aksidu, hear and listen, which

00:49:29 --> 00:49:33
			means the act of hearing the
physical part and then listening,

00:49:34 --> 00:49:37
			which is the mind part,
understanding the message of Allah

00:49:37 --> 00:49:42
			subhanahu wa. And Allah subhanahu
wa says this would be a reason for

00:49:42 --> 00:49:46
			receiving the Mercy of Allah
subhanahu wa. We ask Allah

00:49:46 --> 00:49:51
			subhanahu wa to entitle us to His
mercy and to grant us paradise.

00:49:51 --> 00:49:55
			And inshaAllah, tomorrow, we're
going to talk about another

00:49:55 --> 00:49:58
			beautiful Surah of the Quran,
Surah Al Ayn fell so until

00:49:58 --> 00:49:59
			tomorrow, inshaAllah.

00:50:00 --> 00:50:02
			Assalamualaikum, warahmatullahi,
wabarakatuh.
