Salaam Alaikum. Marilyn, welcome back to another stop on our
journey with the Quran. And today, Inshallah, we're going to be
talking about the 19th just primarily. We're going to be
talking about surat
al for Khan and then Surah Shahram,
surat al Furkan, very beautiful. Surah, revealed to the messenger
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in makaramah and Al Farquhar is
another name of the Quran itself, but from the classical Arabic
description for Khan means something that divides, something
that splits between two different things. So basically, ALLAH
SubhanA wa Taala is telling us that the Quran is splitting and
dividing between darknesses and light, between falsehood and
truth, between the time of ignorance before the time before
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the time of light and
enlightened enlightenment with which came the Prophet salallahu
alayhi wa sallam. It is also a decisive book to separate between
the believers and the non believers.
Sayyidina, Omar, RadiAllahu, anhu,
khalifatul, rasulallah, meaning one of His Names was Al Faruq. And
again, this comes from the same root Farakka, which is again to
divide and to split between two things. In this case, again, he
was very severe in applying the rules of Allah subhanahu wa in a
very fair and just way. So he was called Al Faruq. He was decisive
in establishing the rule of Allah
subhanahu wa. Start with the glorification of Allah subhanahu
wa. To Allah
subhanahu wa has revealed this book Alfre Khan to His servant,
Rasulullah, so that he might be warning all of the creation to
whom this Quran was sent, the ins and the jinn,
and then the surah is talking about Allah, Subhanahu wa, the one
who has the Dominion, dominion of the heavens and the Earth, the one
who has never taken a son, and he does not have any partners in
ruling that universe, and He is the One who created everything
in perfection, in the adequate and the right amount. When you look at
the balance between the different creatures
I watched some time ago, I was said I watch a documentary, and I
find in these documentaries, like in the National Geographic Channel
or the BBC channel or on PBS the Nova or the nature series
Subhanallah, these are all if someone opens their heart and
their mind and they see the glory of Allah subhanahu wa and the
beauty of the creation of Allah subhanahu wa and the perfection
and the balance. And that documentary was about something
called the apex
predatory creatures, basically at the top of the pyramid of
different creatures. You're going to find a predator, basically an
animal, or in this case, even the human beings who are who have a
power over other species of animals and so on and so forth.
If you try to change the balance of the predator and the prey in
any way by eliminating one of the elements of that chain, you're
gonna find that the whole balance has been
collapsed. Has collapsed, basically. So if, for example, you
remove the Eagles or the Hawks, which are birds of prey. From an
environment, you're going to find that smaller animals are going to
multiply, and these animals multiply much faster than others.
They're going to devour
Grass and Green greenery and so on and so forth, and that's going to
cause an imbalance in that environment. So Subhanallah, ALLAH
SubhanA wa Taala put these birds of prey to devour these animals,
to feed all the on these smaller animals, so that the balance was
would always be there.
And then Allah subhanahu wa taala is telling us, after telling us
about the perfection in which he Subhanallah Talaq.
That universe, what takahadu binduni Look at the injustice,
after seeing the power of Allah subhanahu wa and after
acknowledging that he Subhana wa Taala is the creator, as even the
non believers have acknowledged. Wala, insult a home man, khalati.
Wala, if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth. They're
not gonna say this idol or this statue or this animal or this or
that. They're gonna say Allah is the Creator. So after all of that,
they took partners and equals to Allah subhanahu wa and Allah
subhanahu wa. Criticize is that what tasadhum, binduni, hatan,
Laya, they have taken apart from Allah, subhana wa taala. They do
not create anything. They cannot help themselves. They cannot fend
for themselves. They cannot control life or death or
resurrection. Only Allah subhanahu wa does
the attacks on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at the
time of his battle.
It is amazing that the nonbelievers of Quraysh, the idol
worshippers of Quraysh. Before the battle the mission of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they held him in very high esteem as a
sadhu Qul Amin sallamah Ali wasallam.
And yet, when he was sent with the truth, they rejected that truth,
the funny and interesting part, funny in a sad way, sort of that
even with their accusations of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, even with their attacks on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, a very interesting fact that we can read about in the
books of Sira, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam left
Sayyida, Aliyah, RadiAllahu, Anhu sleeping in his bed, when the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went out of his house and
migrated with Sayyidina, Abu Bakr RadiAllahu, Anhu to Al Badin Allah
rasulallahu alayhi wa sallam left Sayyidina Ali ya RadiAllahu, Anhu
sleeping in his bed. And when Quraysh forced their way through
the house of the Prophet saw them, and they uncovered the person who
was sleeping in that bed. They found it was Sayyidina Ali, since
it was not their destination, since that's not the person they
were looking for, they did not harm Sayyidina Ali, especially
knowing that he comes from the clan of Beni Hashem that still has
some clout in makan makarum.
Why did Rasulullah Sallam leave Sayyidina Ali behind? Rasulullah
sallallahu, Sallam could have taken Sayyidina, RadiAllahu, anhu,
with him, and left that bed empty and still Quraysh wouldn't have
felt anything. Rasulallah left Sayyid Ali behind for one major
purpose, to return to Quraysh the goods and the trusts that they
have left in the trust or in the protection of Rasulullah. So you
can imagine, they are attacking Rasulullah Sallam day and night.
They're insulting him. They're calling him names. And yet,
whenever they had something valuable that they cared about,
they did not have any banks or safe deposit boxes, whenever they
wanted to entrust their valuable belongings to someone to take care
of them and to protect them. They couldn't find anyone but
rasulallah.
Now again, look at the character of the Prophet salallahu, alayhi
wa sallam. He did not want anyone to say, well, he claimed to be a
saddel Ameen, the honest, the trustworthy. We trusted him with
our goods, although we would if we we did not agree with him, and now
that he migrated, he has taken, he has stolen and embezzled our
belongings. Rasulullah would never do such a thing, so he SallAllahu,
alayhi salam sets the highest standard the trusts have to be
returned to their owners, even if they are non believers, as Allah
subhana wa Taala tells us, in the Quran in Allah morukum and to
Abdul AMEN At Leah waida, ham tumb, Allah subhana wa Taala
commands you to return the trusts to its owners, and if you judge
among people, to just judge with The justice that Allah subhanahu
wa has taught you. So we find them attacking the Prophet sallallahu,
alayhi wa sallam, day and night. And they're wondering, what about
this man who claims to be a prophet? He is reciting things
that we call old legends, wakaluna, vahiya, tumla alaihi,
buchara, tan wa sila, they look at the Prophet sallallahu sallam,
like a decent, normal human being. He goes to the markets. He buys
and sells to earn a decent and honest living. And they wonder
wakaluma.
Did what he was told. And Allah subhanahu wa gives us a glimpse of
the day of judgment about this man who died later on as a non
believer. He died after the Battle of Badr
way, oh my Abdul, 20 mile Rasul, Isabella Yahweh, letter late an
Elam at the line. A glimpse
as a shot, a scene from the day of judgment and the punishment that
this man is gonna have. He's gonna be biting on his hand out of
remorse,
and he would say, I wish I had followed the path of the messenger
SallAllahu. Alam, oh, I've wasted my life. I wasted everything. I
wish I have not befriended that other guy, the one who incited him
to insult the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam, this man, Abu
Bay, again, was mentioned in the Quran by the end of Surah Al alaq,
when rasulallah was making Salah in Al Qaeda. And this man came and
put his dirty foot on the neck, on the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wa
sallam, while he was in frustration, until his salah, Abu
Salam could not breathe, and he told him, if you come again to Al
Kaba to pray, we are going to kill you. And Allah subhanahu wa
responds to that in surat al alaq
khalila illa me and tahilan nasiya, nauseating. Hotia,
faliator on the Prophet sallallahu,
alayhi wa sallam, don't listen to these false threats, these empty
threats. He claims that he's gonna bring his club, his group, his
clan, to attack you. Let him call whoever he can. Allah subhanahu wa
taala will protect you. And Allah
subhanahu wa sallam telling him kalila, Utah, who don't listen to
him, was Jud waq tarib and prostrate and get closer to Allah
subhanahu
wa sallam. Rasulallah means complaining to Allah subhanahu wa
about the relationship that his people, the people of rasulallah
us the relationship that we have with the Quran that we neglected.
That Quran we do not pay enough attention to the wisdom that came
to that Quran, we sometimes put it in an honorable place, in our
houses, in a golden box or something like that. We keep it in
our cars, we keep it in our offices, we keep it everywhere.
But sometimes we keep it without even opening it. The purpose is
not to keep it in a very fancy box. The purpose is to open that
musthave that Quran day and night and learn from it until its pages
are pages are tattered. That's basically the reason why this
Quran was revealed to us not to be put in a place of protection, but
to keep it in our hearts, to keep it in our minds, and to act upon
it. So Rasulullah is complaining to Allah. Look at what my people
did to that Quran.
Allah, Subhanahu wa gives us, again, some stories of some of the
prophets and messengers before the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wa
sallam, before we get to the conclusion of the Surah, again,
we're not going to be able to stop at every ayah. So I'm jumping
forward to the conclusion of the Surah, which has some very
beautiful ayat, Allah subhanahu wa, as we were talking yesterday
about Allah subhanahu wa describing al munun, qaddafal
mumin in surat al mumin. In this case, Allah subhanahu wa taala is
giving another description of another group of believers,
basically the ones that Allah subhanahu wa has chosen to be His
servants. And they are attached to Allah subhanahu wa, so their honor
is in the servitude to Allah subhana wa taala. Allah subhana wa
Taala calls them Abu Rahman. Allah subhanahu wa gives the a the
attributes of ibad Rahman, and you're gonna find that some of
them deal with the relationship between these servants and Allah
subhanahu wa, and other attributes relate to the relationship between
these servants and other servants of Allah subhanahu wa and the
other creation of Allah subhanahu wa, they tread on this earth
lightly. They are not arrogant. They do not stomp on the ground to
be heard, but they tread lightly, knowing that they they are just
like a breeze and.
Nice breeze with their effect and their impact in their life. I just
Subhanallah read this morning a quote that I found very beautiful,
that I'd like to share with my brothers and sisters. And it says,
Be like the person who walks on sand
about the sincerity of our effort, trying to be sincere in our
effort, be like the person who walks on sand. He doesn't hear his
footsteps, he or she doesn't hear their footsteps. They don't hear
their footsteps, but they see they can look back and he's a see the
traces of these footsteps. So basically, do not
strive for the praise from for from people and recognition and
fame and things like that, but do that for the sake of Allah
subhanahu wa and if it is for the sake of Allah subhana wa taala, it
would really leave a mark, and it would leave a trace in the people
that you leave behind you. I thought this is a very beautiful
quote, so I wanted to share it with my brothers and sisters. Why
that Rahmani led a mulja. He do not call you Salam. And if they
are attacked by the ignorant people with harassment, with
insults, they do not respond in the same way. They do not
reciprocate. They say, salaam, we live our life in peace. We came
here in peace. We are going to depart in peace. We are not gonna
disturb our own peace with Allah, subhana wa Taala by responding to
your ignorance. Waladin, Abu him, sujat and wakiyama and those who
spend their nights
in prostration and in bowing to Allah subhana wa taala. I'm
reminding myself and my brothers and sisters, tonight, Inshallah,
will be the night of the 21st of Ramadan,
which is the first of the odd of the less than nights of Ramadan.
So it's an expectation of Laylatul Qadr again. Let's compete. Let's
stay away from our beds for a couple extra hours and try to
approach Allah subhanahu wa, supplicate to Allah subhanahu wa,
stand in front of Allah subhanahu wa, asking him Subhanallah for
whatever we hope for, and asking him Subhanallah for forgiveness,
remembering that Rasulullah taught us. Allah MA in aka wound, Oh
Allah, you are the most Clement. You Allah, you live. You love
clemency. So pardon us, or have clemency on us. Allah, subhanho wa
taala, wala dinay to nagarabhim, Sujan wakiyama, waladina, Hulu na
Rabban oslif And those who say they have their eye on the final
destination, and they see the two places at that final destination,
Paradise and the hellfire. So they ask Allah subhanahu wa San and
before everything to spare them from that punishment in the *
fire, Ragnar set us away from the punishment of the * fire in
nahada Rama, its torture and its punishment is a severe one. In it
is the worst abode, is the worst place to be or to rest waladina wa
waida wa Laina and FAQ LEUs rifu Wala mektor, Wakan, abina, Danica,
bayina, Delica, kawama and those who when they spend from what
ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala has provided them with, they're not
extravagant, and they not even tight handed, either. So they're
somewhere in between, what can a benadem? And they are somewhere in
the middle. Wala Dinah, mallahi, lahana, walati, Hui lebal, Haq
wali is nun, wamaya, file Delica, Al QA Asmaa, hula, vehem, and
those who do not associate with ALLAH SubhanA wa taala, any other
deities or partners,
and they do not kill indiscriminately without any
justification,
and they do not commit adultery.
And whoever does any of the above, their goddess face severe
punishment from Allah subhanahu wa punishment,
except for those who repent to Allah subhanahu, wahima, Allah
subhanahu wa, with his mercy, if someone commits a sin and then
repents To Allah subhanahu wa, not only does Allah subhanahu wa
forgive their sins, but Allah subhana wa taala, with his extreme
generosity, would convert their bad deeds into good deeds. That's
the generosity or generosity of Allah subhanahu wa
men tevay nahuatu.
Those who repent to Allah subhanahu wa and do good deeds,
they are repenting to Allah subhanahu wa, and he is most
accepting of that repentance. Wala Dina la Yash, habun Azur, and
those who do not give false testimony, and they do not sit in
places where improper things are done. Well, ADINA, Leah, zur WA,
Ida, marubillah we maruki, Rama, and if there's a place or a
gathering where people are doing improper things, they pass by that
in an honorable way, without indulging with them. Waladina,
kirubi, ayati, Ram lemya, summa, Wan Eclipse. And those who went
reminded by the Ayat of Allah, subhana wa taala, they they just
don't go by this ayat. Blind and deaf, they pay attention, they
look around, and they understand the meaning of this ayat, and they
have an impact on their lives. Well, ladina abbana as well as and
those who look for the continuation of life in the
obedience of Allah, Subhanahu wa so they ask for spouses, pious
spouses, who can help them conduct this life in a very pious way, and
they want to be followed by pious children. Rabbi nahab Len I mean
as wajina, waduriatina, qurata Ayan Allah subhanaw taala, make
our eyes happy and satisfied and called with our spouses and our
children when we see them in the obedience of Allah subhanahu wa
and O, Allah make us leaders of the mutakin. Those who are mindful
of Allah subhanahu
wa satisfy all of these conditions. These are the servants
of Allah subhanahu wa, salam, the they are going to receive their
chambers in Paradise from Allah subhanahu wa that have been
prepared for them, designated for them,
and they're going to face a salutation from Allah subhanahu wa
and the peace from Allah subhana wa, taala, Khalidi, Nafi, hazonat,
Muslim comment, they're gonna remain there eternally. And this
is the best abode, the best resting place, the best residence.
And then Allah subhanaw taala concludes the surah with a very
beautiful Abu become robbed.
Abu Asmaa. Allah subhanahu wa wouldn't care about you if you do
not approach him with your supplication as it comes in the
previous ayah that we talked about what or we're gonna talk about in
the future, inshaAllah waka ala rabukumud And
Allah subhanahu wa has commanded ask me, supplicate to me, and I
will respond to you.
And
we find that Subhanallah, these nights, these coming nights, are
the nights for the DUA and the supplication we ask. Allah
subhanahu wa salatu wa salam said that I hope I'm not miserable
through my dua. I hope I'm asking, Well, I'm echoing bid why I cannot
be Shaq. I hope that I'm asking for the right thing. I hope that
I'm asking in the proper way. And I'm Hope I'm asking with the with
the need that I have, because Allah, subhana wa Taala does not
have any need, but we are full of needs. So we are asking Allah,
subhana wa taala, who have the infinite riches Subhanallah, to
grant us what we are asking for, first and foremost, to grant us
His mercy and His forgiveness and Paradise and the companionship of
Rasulullah in paradise. Surah to sharah, the next surah is another
Surah, meah. And surah is very unique and very special, because
ashwara basically are the poets,
the plural of share poet. And Rasulullah Sallam has been accused
of being a poet, and he was not. Rasulullah could appreciate good
poetry, but his Allahu, Alaihe Salam, did not and could not
compose any poetry, as Allah subhanahu wa says, WA, Ma, alam na
hushera, wa, nayya, barila, we have not taught him poetry, nor is
it fit for him to compose any poetry.
Whenever the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wanted to
remember a verse of poetry, he would look to Sayyidina Abu Bakr
the Allahu Akbar and say, What? What did that verse say? Because
he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not compose.
Use nor say any poetry sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and even when he
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tried to say some rhyme during the
excavation of the trench, Al khandak, you know,
workers who work in hard labor sometimes to to get more
energized and excited about the work. Sometimes they sing in a
rhyming way, and that can basically describe distract them a
little bit from their muscular aches and and the hard labor that
they are doing. And so Rasulullah Sallam saw his companions working
together in unison in in the excavation of the trench. So his
Allah knew that the right thing to say at that time is some rhyming
words that they can repeat after me, after him. So he said,
Allahumma in Elisha, I should
leave muhajiri, naval Ansar, which doesn't rhyme at all, by the way.
Sayyidina Abu Bakr, the Allahu Anhu listened to that, and he
laughed his mind, and he said, Sabah, Allahu alaihi, Mohammad,
Shahram, I am barila. You. You are not gonna be able to compose
poetry. So Sayyidina Abu Bakr, the Allahu Anhu put it in the rhyming
fashion, Allahumma in Elijah, I should lean on sorry. When
Muhammad muhajira, al aqah al muhajira. Now these are rhyming
words. So again, Allah subhanahu wa is responding to the
allegations of Quraysh that Rasulullah Saddam is a poet, and
ALLAH SubhanA wa taala, by the end of the Surah, declares that the
poets, most of them actually deceive people. They talk about
things that are not of real value. Instead of focusing on the Quran
and the remembrance of the Quran, the memorization of the Quran, the
recitation of the Quran, they worry themselves about poetry,
which in many cases it's a poetry about the pride of the tribe or
the strength of an individual, or the beauty of the beloved one, or
things of that sort. That was the nature of the poetry that was
composed at the time of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wa
sallam, and that's why Allah did not say all poetry is wrong, but
most of the most of the poets are like that, but among them are the
ones who use their poetry to defend the Prophet sallallahu,
alayhi wa sallam, and to advance the cause of Islam. As Sayyidina
hasselnuti RadiAllahu. Anhu was one of those poets and Rasulullah
Sallam used to urge him or Hassan, respond to them with your poetry.
It is more hurting to them than the weapons than the arrows or
being beaten with a spear or a sword or light or something like
that. And Rasulullah Sallam had said the Hassan Ibn taybit close
to him, and he said that he's supported by guidance from Allah
Subhanallah in the poetry that he composes, in praising rasulallah,
in thanking Allah Subhanallah, in praising the companions of the
Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wa sallam, Surat Shah rah also is one
of those sower that have the repeated stories of the prophets
and the messengers. They come in the cyclical way again. The story
starts with the Prophet being sent to his people in the normal sower,
the story starts sort of in a chronological order that the
Prophet was sent. He invited his people. He brought the proofs from
Allah subhanahu wa the people rejected. The Prophet warned them
about the punishment of Allah subhanho wa taala. They didn't
care. Punishment came. The non believers were destroyed. The
believers were saved, and life continued. That is the logical
order, or the normal order, in Surah. It comes in a very unique
order, which is, again, very beautiful and very interesting. It
starts with the end. It starts, or not the end, the middle of the
story. It starts with the rejection of the Prophet, Kat
katzabeth, katzabet. It starts Kat Babette idol in murzadin, kabata,
mudul Musa.
So each time Allah subhanahu wa tells us about the story of a
prophet, it starts with a takdeep the denial of that Prophet, that
the people of that Prophet rejected that prophet.
But the first story that comes, again, it comes in more details
than any other story, is the story of Sayyidina, Musa Alain Nabi na
Ali salatu salah, when he went to firam. And again, this surah is
very similar to a certain extent, to Surah Al araf and some some
people who.
Memorize the Quran would sometimes get confused between some of the
ayat in Surat shawra and Surat arav because sometimes they are
very close with some distinctions. So only someone, masha Allah, who
has very good memorization, can distinguish between which one is
which.
So Allah subhanahu wa taala tells us, in this surah, first of all,
he tells the Prophet, sallAllahu, alayhi wa sallam, don't be so sad
that your people are rejecting you don't lose any sleep over that.
It's not your job to guide everyone. Your job is to declare
this message and do your best effort. Again, as we always say,
You are not responsible for the results. You are responsible only
for the effort. So ALLAH SubhanA wa taala, says the Prophet
sallallahu, alayhi wa sallam la Allah Amin, you are killing
yourself, not literally, but emotionally, that they are not
believers in Nash nunatana, home, Lahore in if we will, we would
have descended an Ayah from, from, from the heavens, and at that time
they there's no chance for denial. But Allah subhanahu wa wants them
to use that gift that he gave them, that mind, to recognize
Allah subhanahu wa.
So Allah subhanahu wa in this surah, and again, we're going to
jump between the ayat Allah subhanaw taala in the story of
Sayyidina. Musa is telling us about that story when Allah
subhanahu wa commission Sayyid na Musa wa ina Dara, Bucha Musa and
ITIL kom Abu Ali min ko Mater aun Eliya takun Sayyid na Musa, on his
way back from median, receives that Revelation After having
stayed stayed in exile for 10 years. He's going back to Egypt
now, and Allah subhanahu wa called Sayyidina Musa and commissions him
and gives him that responsibility. Go to faraun. Invite him to Islam.
You have your brother who's gonna support you with the will of Allah
subhanahu wa.
Now let's look at the dialog that took place between Sayyidina, Musa
and firam, because, again, it comes here in a very interesting
and beautiful way, what I sometimes call, maybe some people
have heard me give that description before, the 360 dawah,
360 degrees, or actually, it's sort of a spherical dawah. What do
I mean by spherical Dawa, I'm gonna explain that in a moment.
Faraon, When Sayyidina Musa came to him, inviting him to Islam, he
started telling him, don't you remember when you were a child and
we raised you, we took care of you, we have made you the man that
you are today. And Sayyidina Musa said, I acknowledge that you
raised me in your house, in your palace and so on. I acknowledge
everything, and now I'm trying to return that favor by inviting you
to Allah subhanahu wa asks him call if Iran one Abu Lamin. Here's
the spherical dawah that I'm talking about.
Sayyidina Musa, first of all, talks about the vertical
direction,
color of buchamati one or diwama in kunto mokini. He is the Lord of
the heavens and the earth and everything in between. If you are,
if you can truly understand, if you truly trust what I'm saying
and what you're seeing. So this is the vertical direction,
call a man. How long is making fun of Sayyida Musa, don't you? Listen
to what he's saying. Color of bukum, warah, bum awalene. So
we're talking about the time dimension your Lord and the Lord
of the people who came before you, your fathers and your forefathers.
Call in narasula Common lady, or sila kumlamaji noon, this prophet
that was that claims to be sent to you, is crazy. What is he talking
about?
Color, Abu mashlipi, wal mariby, wamalina. He's talking about the
horizontal direction east to west, the Lord of the east and the west
and everything in between, if you pay attention, if you have any
intellect.
So he's talking about a vertical direction, three axes, vertical
axis, horizontal axis, and the third axis, the axis of time,
future and past. Allah subhanahu wa is the Lord of all of that.
And then when
firam could not respond to that argument, immediately, he resorts
to physical power, hallelujah, if you take a lord apart from me, I'm
gonna imprison you and say the Musa said, Kala Awaji to Kabi
Shahi Mubin, what if I show you a definite proof about the
authenticity of what I'm saying? And faraun said, Kola fati in
contamination, show me what you have. And Sayyidina Musa throws
his cane, throws his cane, and it becomes a snake, and so on and so
forth. And we know the rest of the story. Firaun summons his a.
His magicians and promises them a great reward if they can defeat
Sayyidina Musa. People are gathered in the big place or big
festival, and they are waiting to see today we're gonna root for
we're gonna pull for those magicians to defeat this man,
Musa. And Sayyidina Musa throws his cane and it swallows all of
their all of their ropes, and these magicians prostrate to Allah
subhana wa taala, saying that Hall, who am and biram Bilal Amin,
Rabbi Musa Arun, we believe in Allah subhana wa taala. We believe
in the Lord of Musa and Harun and Farhan starts again, threatening
them. He is
the your, your grand magician. He is the big magician who taught you
your your trade. So now I am gonna kill you all. I'm gonna crucify
you. I'm gonna do this and that, and what did they say? Kalula, no
harm. This is not gonna hurt us much in NA ILA Rabina, monkalibun,
we return to Our Lord if you're going to kill and torture and maim
and dismember our earthly bodies, we don't really care, because we
are returning to our Lord, Allah subhanho wa taala.
Now
it goes on to the confrontation between the army of Iran and
Sayyidina Musa, Alain Nabi na Ali salatu, salam, the destruction of
Iran and Allah subhanahu wa saving Sayyidina Musa and his followers.
And then the story ends with the repeating end that we're gonna
find in the story of every other prophet in nafied,
wameken, meaning wa in Arab, buchala, who Allah Azzi surahim In
this which means the story that was mentioned to you. This is a
sign. This is a proof from Allah subhanahu wa. But unfortunately,
the majority of people do not believe. And your Lord is the
Mighty, the Merciful, SubhanAllah. After the story of Sayyidina Musa
comes the story of Sayyidina Ibrahim. And again, another
chapter of the confrontation between Sayyidina Ibrahim, first
and his father, and then the rest of his nation, how they rejected
him. And then Allah subhanahu wa saving Sayyidina Ibrahim and his
followers, and ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala destroying the non
believers. Sayyidina LUT, same thing. Sayyidina hood, the same
thing. Sayyidina Salih, the same thing. Again, without going into
the details of the story of each one of these great prophets and
messengers, Aliyah, Allah Nabi na Ali salah, Ali musalaya Tu Salam.
So we have first Sayyidina Musa, and then Sayyidina Anush,
Sayyidina Ibrahim, and then Sayyidina Nuh, and then Sayyidina
houd, and then Sayyidina Salih, and then Sayyidina Lud and then
Sayyid nashwa IB these repeated stories, and each one of them
starts with cadwat. The people have denied their prophets. And
then what was the speech of the Prophet to these people? And then
at the end, the destruction of that people, the oppressors. And
then Allah subhanaw taala gives at each time each story the same
conclusion. In nafied, wameken,
wa ina Rabbi kalau al Aziz U Rahim. So again, the moral of the
story here is that Allah subhanahu wa is showing the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, as we mentioned time and time again,
that what you are facing from your people is nothing new. That's
exactly what happened to all the Reformers before you, to all the
prophets and messengers who came before you, their people denied
them. They called their names. They called them names. They tried
to kill them. They tried to exile them. They tried to do this and
that. And then in the end, victory would come from Allah subhanahu
wa, to those who endure patience and believe in Allah subhanho wa
taala, and destruction would come to the other the other camp that
defied Allah subhanho wa taala, that has been the Sunnah of Allah
subhanahu wa that has been the path of Allah that leads to Allah
subhana wa taala, that has been history, as had it has been
conveyed to you now, the Arabs, by the way, if we look at the
classification of the Arabs, there is something called alarab al
Beida. Al Arab are the tribes of the Arabs that are well known, and
their villages and their cities are well known. But these tribes
have disappeared. They do not have any descendants today. And among
these, Allah ADA AUD, these two tribes that denied their prophets,
I had denied Sayyidina hood and tamud denied Sayyidina, Saul,
nabino Ali Musala tu Salam and their civilizations were
completely destroyed, only the believers were saved.
But the whole civilization of these villages was destroyed, and
their remains still exist. And people know where they used to
live, and we know that until today, again in the northern part
of Arabia, what was called the Nabataean
civilization, which was, which was the civilization of Sayyidina,
Salih, ala Nabi na Adi, sarato Salaam. They have their carved
palaces and houses in the stones of the mountains that we that
people can still see today, and you can see pictures of that
Rasulullah told his companions Do not dwell in these villages. Do
not go to these places. And if you have to pass by them on your
travel, pass by very quickly, without settling there.
Unfortunately, today we see people making these as touristic
attractions and encouraging people to visit these places, whereas
Rasulullah has told us not to dwell on that and not and if we
get to these villages, we should remember what happened to these
people and ask Allah subhanahu wa to spare us from that punishment.
So the the stories again of these prophets and messengers are are
very
amazing and interesting and entertaining, but only to the
believers who would see the value in these stories, who would fear
that if we do not follow our Prophet and Messenger, it might
happen to us. What might what have has happened to all of these
different civilizations before by the end of the Surah, after Allah,
Subhanahu wa tells us about the story of Sayyidina, Shah iba
alabina Ali sarato,
and a side thing here, something very interesting in the Surah.
Someone may, may pay attention to it. Each prophet was described as
kaddabad Ayato nel mur so each Prophet was sent
to
his people, and he is like a brother to them. Before he
declared his message, message, he was like a brother to them. But
when we look at the story of Sayyidina, shwaib, it's very
interesting. Allah subhana wa Taala says, kadabas have will eika
till mursadine. It call aleum, Shoaib alatam. Allah subhana wa
Taala does not a who does not say a hum. Shuaib, some scholars would
say that because Sayyid nahi was not from that village. Said
nashwa, I probably was sent to two different villages, so he was not
part of that village. That's why he was not he did not have roots
in that community. That's why they did. Allah subhana wa Taala did
not call him a hum as part of them, because he was sort of
stranger to them
by the end of the Surah, Allah subhanahu wa, after the end of the
story of Sayyidina, shahiwala, Nabi Na, Ali, salatu wa, salam,
Allah subhanahu wa, again, is comforting and supporting and
sustaining Rasulullah Sallam by saying wain nahuatan zeal or Rabbi
la Alameen, they are claiming that this is poetry that someone is
teaching you. This poetry? No, this is the revelation from
rabbula alameen, the Lord of all the creation, Nazare Rahul Amin.
It was sent to you through the messenger, Sayyidina, Jibreel, Ali
Islam, haleakal bika, the Takuna minan, he brought you directly to
your heart so that you can warn people in the language that they
understand. You were sent initially to these Arabs with a
Quran, that's a perfection in the Arabic language. It does not have
any imperfection from a linguistic, linguistic aspect,
because these Arabs were the masters of the Arabic language,
and this defies them to come up with something similar to it,
which they did not. They could not they will not be able to do
well on this meaning, if it were revealed in its same form to some
people who do not speak Arabic, they wouldn't believe in it
because they wouldn't understand it In the first place.
And then Allah subhanahu wa, by the end of the Surah,
is saying that wamara bi Shayateen, they are claiming that
the devils and the jinn are the ones who taught this Prophet. The
Prophet saw them, this Quran, Allah subhanahu wa.
Negates this claim. WAM salad be shalom, wamayam baileon, wamaya
own in Nahum, Ani San ilamalawn, they cannot come with something
like that, and they should not be able to convey it, because they
have not been able to listen to the revelation descending from the
heavens to Rasulullah. So Allah, Subhanahu wa salam, now that you
have received the wisdom, now that we have told you that this is
exactly what to expect from people.
Fella,
Allah bean one, dirashi, Rabin Wah fit, Jana hakali, manit tabaq,
so do not associate with Allah subhanaw taala. Do not call
another god but Allah subhana wa taala, and warn your close clan.
Start with the closest circle to you and then expand it to outer
circles. Waqf, Jana Haq Ali many Tabak, Amin al mumin a be kind and
modest and kind hearted and friendly to those who follow you
among the believers. And then Allah subhanahu wa again, gives
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the best support that
anyone can wish for what our QALY Aziz Ibrahim, rely, depend on Al
Aziz the mighty, or Rahim the Merciful. Now, every story of
these previous prophets used to end wa in narab, the kalau, hola
Aziz, Rahim, Allah subhanahu wa taala is using the same two
beautiful attributes of his SubhanAllah. Wata wala Aziz Rahim,
rely on that same Lord that saved all the prophets before you and
destroyed all the non believers before you, all led the rakahina
takum, the one who sees you when you get up wataka Luba Cafe said,
and when you prostrate to Allah, Subhanahu wa Sanyal alim, he is
the All Hearing, the All Knowing, subhanAllah, he hears what you're
saying. He hears your supplication, and he knows it,
even without you saying it. Allah subhanahu wa knows what's in your
heart. And then in the end, * una birkham, Alameen, you are
claiming that the devils and the jinn came to the Prophet
sallallahu, sallam, with this Quran. Shouldn't I tell you about
who really received this guidance or misguidance from the devils and
the jinn help unabum The effect in a team on every imposter sinner
you'll call a SAM Allah Abu. These devils sit in the heavens trying
to listen to the revelation that's being descended, or the news of
the heaven. And they would take one simple fact, and they would
weave around it hundreds of lies so people, their followers, would
would believe them. You'll Kuna Sam, Allah, Akbar, the boon was
shoara Yahoo and the Pro and the poets are gonna be followed by
those who are misguided, because if they concern themselves with
poetry rather than with the book of Allah, subhanaw taala and the
true revelation, that would be a waste of time and misguidance.
Alhamdulillah, in Yahi moon. Don't you see these points? Sometimes
they would praise a certain leader or certain king, and if that King
gets angry with them and deprives them from whatever they used to
give them, they would start insulting that King and and saying
false things about them. So they talk about different things, and
they are not consistent in their direction, Wan Naomi, akhuluna,
Malay Fallon, and they claim things that they do not do.
A funny thing. There was a very well known Arab poet after Islam,
and his name was Al mutanabi. At a certain period of his life, he
claimed to be a Nabi, and then he repented from that. He was one of
the greatest poets, by the way, and then one day he said
bragging about himself, al haylu a lailo albeda Utah, ifuni was safe
for Tosu al kalamu that I am the well known master of both fighting
and using the sword and poetry using my pen, so the horses would
know me, the knight would know me, and the desert would know me and
the spear and the sword And the paper and the pen, so I'm the
master of both domains.
And then one day, he was met by some bandits or people from
another tribe who wanted to challenge him, and he started
running away from that challenge. So someone said, Wait a second,
aren't you the one who said.
Verse of poetry that you are the master of both domains, the
fighting and the literature and the poetry show us your courage.
So now he felt insulted. He couldn't escape anymore, and he
tried to defend himself, and he was killed in that jewel or that
battle. So they say in Arabic that this is the verse of poetry that
killed its composer, Alam tara and Nahum fuliwa, dinahi Moon WA and
Naomi abulu and Amalia fadun. They say things about themselves that
they do not do or they cannot apply.
And then Allah subhanahu wa gives the exception, because, again, as
we mentioned, some of the poets dedicate their poetry to defending
Islam and praising Allah, Subhanahu wa salam, iladina am and
wa salihat, WADA karuah Kathy ra one TOS a room in bad email.
Bolimum was Alamo Latino, ayamon kalibun. So the exception from
those who have been criticized by Allah subhanahu wa are the ones
who remember Allah subhana wa Taala a lot, and those who give
support to the cause of Allah subhanahu wa, and they believe and
do the good deeds. So do not they do not only brag about things, but
they prove that through their actions and then the surah ends
with was ala muladi, Nam khalibin, Yang khalibun, and those
oppressors, those who caused injustice to themselves and to
others, those who have transgressed against Allah,
subhanho wa taala, they will eventually know What their final
destination is, and what their final abode is. We ask Allah
subhana wa Taala to make our final destination His mercy Subhanallah
and his paradise. And we ask Allah subhana wa taala, the most
Clement, to have clemency on us. And sha Allah, we're gonna
continue tomorrow with
very beautiful ayat from Surat Nam and surat al qasas Inshallah, so
until tomorrow, Asmaa ikumarah, Allah here, Barakat i.
