Ibrahim Nuhu – The Importance Of Salah

AI: Summary ©
The importance of praying in Islam is emphasized, with a focus on finding the right person to ask for help and breaking one's fast. Prayerers should be calm and focus on their daily activities, following rules, and not bringing everything to the church. It is also important to avoid getting distracted by social media, maintain healthy relationships with others, and not get married. Prayerers should be aware of the importance of praying for everything and receiving success in life, and should be aware of the importance of practicing proper hand positions, proper hand positions, and proper foot and leg configuration. Prayerers should be aware of the importance of praying for everything and receiving success in life, and should not get distracted by social media or married.
AI: Summary ©
I was thinking of a session on fasting
but you know when the authority is not
in your hands, Hamad messaged me with Salah,
no problem.
Let's go with Salah inshallah.
Allah swt accept what is going to be
said and make it for his sake and
also grant his ability to say that which
is right and correct inshallah.
So I will be trying to focus on
that which is very important because if we
are to talk about this topic we need
a series of lectures.
With no exaggeration we need series of lectures,
a lot of them actually because Salah has
so many parts and segments each one of
them can take a lecture by itself or
lectures inshallah.
So we'll talk about the importance of the
Salah and how it begins first and foremost
and then the importance and then I will
also talk about the life of the Salaf
when it comes to the Salah and I
will talk about the Salah in brief.
What was the Salah of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam inshallah.
That will be the last thing we will
be discussing and each and every one of
them we will just try to scratch the
surface.
I believe nobody among us that is not
aware of the Salah to be one of
the pillars of Islam.
Who can help us to, usually Tarbiyah session
is give me give you right so I'm
not going to be talking alone we talk
together inshallah.
So who can help us with a hadith
that shows that Salah is a pillar in
Islam.
Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
Hadith of Jibreel.
No but can we say he's just talking
about Islam.
What is Islam?
He said Islam is this and that.
In some other places also Islam is giving
Salam, giving charity, the noble charity also.
Distribution of the Ghanima also is Islam.
Many other things also the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam defined Islam using them and we
don't call them a pillar in Islam.
But why this one is is called a
pillar in Islam.
No that's a justification right we're looking for
an evidence.
You said Hadith of Omar.
So you now change your mind from Hadith
of Omar now you come to another Hadith.
Are you sure?
I think people people have to listen to
this one.
Jibreel asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
what are the pillars of Islam or he
just said what is Islam.
Okay any other evidence?
Jannah.
Don't forget in that Hadith also he gave
him some other things which doesn't believe in
them to be pillars in Islam.
That's a command from Allah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam and Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also
says be among the truthful ones and Lutfi
doesn't call truthfulness a pillar in Islam.
Anyway you are right okay I just want
you to know how to reason, provide evidence
when you are dealing with matters like this.
If you have something that is very specific
you start with it first and then back
it up with some other statement.
This Hadith as you said confirms that Salah
is the pillar in Islam right that's why
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam restricted Islam
to be based on these what he called
five things.
Right after this Hadith in Arbonne Nawiyya the
Hadith of Abdullah ibn Umar comes he said
Islam is built upon five things.
That's very straightforward right.
The pillars of Islam are five and these
five are taken from the Hadith of Abdullah
ibn Umar.
So five things mentioned by the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam to be the basis of
our religion.
Number two is Salah and even in terms
of ranking Salah comes the second after the
Shahada.
The first one is Shahada Tani and the
second one is a Salah.
So it is more than enough for us
to know the importance of the prayer that
Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made it a
pillar in Islam.
And secondly also the way Allah sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam gave the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam the prayers is unique is different from
the normal and the usual way the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam receives instructions from Rabbul
Alameen.
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said I remember
a time when he was sleeping in the
house of Umuhani bint
Abi Talib.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was sleeping
in that house and then he says the
roof of the house was open and then
two angels came to him and they talked,
if you go to the Hadiths you see
what they talked before they started the process
of the cleansing of the heart of Rasulullah
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to prepare him to
meet Rabbul Alameen because he's going to a
very special place where sins cannot exist in
that place.
Whatever is there has to be pure and
clean.
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is pure.
But that is something which Allah is going
to remove in him by the love of
those angels.
So they came and they opened the chest
of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and
they bring out the heart.
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was watching them.
They took out his heart, they open it,
they remove one black blood, they threw it
away.
They said there's a portion of the shaytan
and they wash the heart, they filled it
with wisdom and Iman.
They close it back and they put it
back in the chest of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam.
This opening of the chest of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam happened twice.
When was the first one?
When he was with Halima al-Sa'diyya, right?
So at that time when she asked him
what happened because the kids who were with
him, they ran away.
He said I saw two birds, they come
to me, they did this to him.
So twice it happens and this is also
one of the references in the saying of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ
صَدْرَكَ أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ So the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was prepared to leave
to that place.
He went out, he met Jibreel alayhi s
-salam.
I'm sorry, he went out with Jibreel alayhi
s-salam and another angel, if I'm not
mistaken, either Mikael or somebody, two of them
they came.
So Jibreel told the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam to Masjid al-Haram.
That's why the best opinion is the one
that says Israa wal Mi'raj began from
Makkah.
Which part of Makkah?
Okay, I restricted the conflict for you in
two ways.
Either the house of Ummu Hani, because they
came and met him there, right?
Or it began from Masjid al-Haram.
Which one?
Look at, wait a minute, I know you're
a Mufti in this regard, but just wait
a minute.
If you look at the narration of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they said they
met him in the house of Ummu Hani
and then we left.
We passed through Masjid al-Haram and then
we moved forward, right?
If you look at the Quran, Allah swt
says من المسجد الحرام إلى المسجد العقصى.
The question is that, you see the Haram
is here.
This area, all of it, the Masjid is
just this area, right?
It's small.
But all of this area is called Haram.
It's a big area.
When you're coming from Jeddah, you see Binat
al-Haram, the beginning of the Haram, right?
And when you're going towards the Masjid al
-Aisha, also you will see Nihat al-Haram.
From the backside, Binat al-Haram.
So it's a very big land, a lot
of kilometers to be penetrated when you're coming
to the end of it.
So all of this is Haram.
So when Allah says من المسجد الحرام, is
he talking about this small Masjid where the
Ka'bah is located or he's talking about
the Haram in general, the whole area where
the Masjid al-Haram is located.
You have differences of opinion amongst the scholars
and the significance of this issue is that
if I say من المسجد الحرام, Masjid al
-Haram is all of this, the Haram completely.
That means if I am late, I am
late to go to Masjid al-Haram, inside
the Masjid.
You know the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
said if you pray, one prayer in the
Masjid al-Haram, it will be equivalent to
100,000 prayers in any other Masjid, right?
100,000 prayers, subhanallah.
And you can see how much those people
who went to Mecca and they end up
praying in their own Masjid, not going to
the Masjid al-Haram and praying.
You know you have how many days, one
week, two weeks and you're praying in other
Masjid.
Allah is a great loss because every single
prayer has a virtue and the blessings that
is equivalent to 100,000, not 1,000,
100,000.
So the question is if I pray in
this place, do I still get the same
reward or I have to be in the
Masjid and whatever is attached to the Masjid?
So it depends on how do you understand
the beginning of the journey of Rasulullah sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam.
If you say it started from the Bayt
Ummu Hani, Allah says what?
Allah called that house also Masjid al-Haram.
When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
when he says praying in the Masjid al
-Haram is better 100,000 times than any
other Masjid and Allah says the Isra' started
from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Haram,
the Isra' started from the house of Ummu
Hani, that means that place also is included
which means I can pray in any Masjid
that is located inside the Haram area, not
the Masjid al-Haram, inside the Haram area
and I can still get the reward.
However there are many other scholars who said
no, it began from Masjid al-Haram, the
Masjid itself.
You get it?
And therefore if you want to get 100
,000 reward, then you have to pray in
the Masjid.
If you pray out of the Masjid, you
will not get that reward.
You get it?
So which one is correct?
Masjid al-Haram, not the whole area, only
the Masjid al-Haram.
Yeah, that's why I'm saying Haram, Haram is
this like the whole area, this one and
Masjid al-Haram is just here.
Yeah, if you say Masjid al-Haram, that
means I have to pray here for me
to get the reward.
If you say al-Haram, then any place
you pray here, as long as you don't
go out of the Haram area, you also
get the reward.
Which one is more merciful?
The second one, right?
But anyway we have to go with the
best opinion also to be on the safe
side, to go with the one that says
Masjid al-Haram only.
And me and Mazin, let me bring it
closer to you to know that he has
the best opinion, the one that says Masjid
al-Haram only.
Me and Mazin, and Lutfi, and Shaykh, and
Shaykh Rifaat, we agreed to go to Saudi,
inshallah, soon, by the will of Allah.
I'm coming from Gombak, Mazin is coming from
you, I'm coming from Batur Sablas, Mazin is
coming from UAE, Rifaat is coming from where
Shaykh is coming from, somewhere on the earth,
inshallah.
But let's say he's coming from Sha'alam,
Lutfi is coming from one of those places,
PVA, whatever you are living in.
You see, we're coming from different places, right?
We must have a meeting, meeting point, where
we meet and then we move from that
place.
So all of us agreed to meet in
Kila'i.
You get it?
Our journey collectively began from Kila'i, not
from our homes.
Yeah, started from Kila'i.
So when they took the Prophet ﷺ, they
went to Haram first.
Yeah, then from Haram, the Buraq was there
waiting for him, that animal that moves Maddal
Basar, the Prophet ﷺ said, the farthest its
eyes can catch it, this is the first
step.
Yeah, you can imagine the reason why he
went to Baitul Maqdis in a few seconds,
you can say, few seconds.
With no exaggeration, you can say a few
seconds.
The distance of one month, but because this
animal, one step is as far as it
can see.
And this is the animal that is very
special, we don't know how far the eyes
can sight.
You get it?
So they went to Rasulullah ﷺ and Jibreel,
both of them.
Both of them, according to some narration, they
rode on Buraq.
They went to Baitul Maqdis.
In Baitul Maqdis, where Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala invited all the Prophets and the Messengers,
for the Prophet ﷺ to pray with them.
That's why Rasulullah ﷺ is Imam of Awwaleen
wa l-Akhireen.
Subhanallah.
All of them have to report themselves to
that place to welcome the Prophet ﷺ.
That's Alam al-Arwah.
You see Musa ﷺ, Musa, Musa, Isa.
You see Isa, Isa.
This is the Arwah.
But Isa, Isa.
You don't see Ruh, you see Isa.
You see Adam, you see, you know.
Prophet ﷺ prayed with them.
After he finished the prayer, Jibreel told him,
Ya Muhammad.
Even in this event also, you bring me
a wrong mic.
I hope this one is too young to
die soon.
Okay, so he said, Ya Muhammad, this is
Malik Khazin-un-Nar.
Go and say salam to him.
The Prophet ﷺ went and he said salam
to him.
And then after that, they left.
So you can imagine that kind of meeting.
Subhanallah.
Don't forget the topic.
This is all in the preparation for the
Prophet ﷺ to go and receive prayers.
Subhanallah.
He had all of these things.
Cleansing of the heart, moving to the haram,
using the buraq, you know, the best animal
you can ever hear.
They move also to Baitul Maqdis.
And he prayed there with all the Prophets
of Allah ﷺ.
All of them came to the Prophet ﷺ
to be their Imam.
And they finish and then they use whatever
they use to move to the heavens.
You get it?
In that journey of Mi'raj.
Subhanallah.
Very amazing journey.
Very amazing journey.
Because when the Prophet ﷺ came back, after
all of this journey, they said as if
he just left for a few seconds and
come back to his bed.
As if he just left for a few
seconds and come back to his bed.
وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ بِيَدِهِ مَقَالِيدِ الْأُمُورِ
كُلَّهِ To us, it's too far for us
to comprehend.
To Rabbul Alameen, it's nothing.
This is little.
What we can see, what we can hear,
what our aqel can comprehend somehow.
That which Allah SWT is hiding from us
is much greater than what our aqel can
comprehend.
It's out of his mercy, he let us
not even knowing those things.
Rasulullah ﷺ moved with Jibreel ﷺ.
They went to the first heaven.
They knock on the door.
The angels, the guards, they ask, who is
that?
He said, Jibreel.
And I love talking about this because you
can see the real authority.
We are here killing each other, fighting each
other.
SubhanAllah for what?
Leadership and kingdom and all of these things,
you know.
But the real authority is there.
Jibreel is the leader of the angels.
SubhanAllah, you can see angels are sourcing their
commands from the Rabbul Bariyyah.
That's why when he knock on the door,
imagine a ra'is, prime minister, president, king
is coming.
The door is going to be closed.
Trust me, if the palace has 20,000
doors, most likely all of them are going
to be open.
Because they don't know which door he will
be likely to use.
But these ones, the door are closed.
Because this is how Allah made it after
the arrival of Rasulullah ﷺ.
So they ask him, who is that?
He said, Jibreel.
Okay, that's done.
They know that yes, it has to be
Jibreel coming to this place.
They know who he is.
Who is that?
He said, Jibreel.
Should be enough.
They asked him, are you alone?
He said, no.
Who is with you?
He said, Muhammad ﷺ.
Is he invited to come here?
He said, yes.
And then they opened the door.
He told him, marhaban.
You're welcome.
You and your guests.
And the Prophet ﷺ went inside.
He saw angels, a lot of angels in
that place.
He saw Adam and whatever he sees.
In every single heaven, he sees a prophet.
And every heaven, he passed through the same
process.
The same process.
Up to the moment he reached heaven number
three, if I'm not mistaken, where he saw
Yusuf ﷺ.
And the Prophet ﷺ said, half of the
beauty and last part, like granted him.
That's why the story, that surah is really
important for a Muslim to read, that surah.
Really important.
It has lessons.
I remember Abdurrahman Sa'adi, he wrote a
book, a lesson from Surah Yusuf.
Very interesting and excellent lessons.
And Rasul ﷺ was pointing at this to
tell us, you know, one of the realities
that we tend to forget where we break
the barrier between the two, the two genders.
You know how much Yusuf ﷺ suffers, right?
From that person who was the one who
was taking care of him since he was,
he was a young, young man.
But as he grows, because since the younger
age, that handsomeness is beyond the imagination of
the people who were there with him.
That's why some of the Mufassireen said, Some
of the Mufassireen said, when they brought him
out of the well and they saw him,
they thought this is one of the children
of the jinn.
He's too handsome, beyond what they can ever
imagine to be the look of human beings.
That's why when they sold him, they sold
him with a very little amount of money.
They have no interest in holding him that
much.
Because either he belongs to some other creatures
or he is from the very, very, very
rich and royal family, which they might put
themselves into trouble.
That's why they just sold him anyhow.
So she has been patient taking care of
him up to the moment Adrak, become a
big matured person.
This is when that which she has been
patient with, she couldn't tolerate anymore.
And you know what happens in Surah Yusuf,
mentioned, and the lessons we take from this
are a lot.
A lot, a lot, a lot.
I would just emphasize on one which is
mentioned by Rasulallah when he says, He said,
I warn you from being in a place
where there is nobody except the opposite gender.
Except you and a woman, you'll be in
that place.
Shaytan is going to be the third one,
whether you like it or you don't like
it.
And there is no Taqwa here.
Wallah, if you ever tell yourself you are
Muttaqi, you are deceiving yourself.
Big Muttaqun in the past, they lost their
track to Rabbal Alameen because of this.
You can see this is Rasulallah and one
of the evil consequences of this.
If something happens, Wallah, it's not easy for
you to relieve yourself.
It's not easy.
Go to the books of Tafsir and see
the way the scholars are arguing, big argument
among the scholars about the Hamm that came
from Yusuf Alayhi Salaam.
What is Hamm?
It's a strong intention to do something.
Allah said, she does and he said, and
also talk about Yusuf in the same way.
The scholars argue a lot.
What exactly is the Hamm that can, we
know what is she planning to do because
she practically did it, practically tried to execute
her Hamm.
But Yusuf Alayhi Salaam, is he also having
the same thing or different?
I just want you to understand, this is
Rasul, min Rasulillah Azza wa Jal, but this
debate trying to understand the ayah, was there
among the Mufassiri?
What do you think about somebody like us?
Who will stop and have some good expectation
about you?
Nobody.
And that's okay, that's okay, that's okay, because
this is very natural to have people losing
hope in you and losing what you call
trust in you because of this.
So Allah says, one of my scholars in
Medina, Sheikh Abdul Hamid Abu Rawash, he says,
it's one of the benefits I got from
him, he said, actually, the Hamm from his
side did not happen.
Because linguistically, when you have the Lawla, Lawla
in Arabic, it has a meaning, they say
Limtina al-wujud.
Limtina al-wujud means, it prevents something to
exist.
So if you have Lawla, it means that
which you attach it to, it did not
happen.
So he did not do the Hamm because
he saw the Burhan of Allah SWT.
That's why he ran away immediately and she
chased him.
You can see how much Shaytan is pushing
this woman.
And they're doing a Sibaq, he's running to
the door, she's running to the door.
You get it?
So she was very fast, he was fast,
she was fast, but the house is not
that big, although the house is the house
of somebody in the authority.
So by the time he reached the door,
she was trying to drag him back, pull
him back.
So she tore his clothes.
Alhamdulillah, right after he reached the door, the
husband already arrived.
Big case.
So they heard some of the voices and
they heard the Kameez being torn, and he
came with one of the relatives of the
woman.
That's why when he opened the door, he
saw them both of them in that condition.
His Kameez was torn and the woman was
in the way she is.
Because most likely according to the context, she
doesn't have something to cover her properly.
The husband and the person who they came
with understand what exactly happened.
And that's why you can see how much
smart she is in terms of avoiding the
problem from herself and from him also.
She quickly said to them, Before even they
talked to them, she said, what do you
think could possibly be the punishment of somebody
who wants evil with your family?
She is supposed to wait for an answer
from the husband, right?
But she quickly made a proposal.
She said the punishment that this guy deserves
is to send him to jail or to
punish him, a very big punishment.
She did not propose death penalty, because she
knows having these kind of things with the
wife of somebody in the high authority necessitated
what?
Death penalty.
So she quickly avoided this one because she
doesn't want him to be killed.
So the husband was there and that person
was there, so he says no it is
not like that.
Let's see, Allah says, To check and see
if the cloth torn from behind, that means
she is wrong.
If it is from front, that means she
is right.
She is trying to fight him to run
away and he is trying to drag her.
But then when they see the kameez was
torn from behind, so according to this qareena,
they said you are guilty.
And subhanAllah, Yusuf was out of it.
But because the problem doesn't want to stop
now.
Now the sisters in the city, also the
news went out and everyone is talking, what's
wrong with you?
This is your slave.
It's similar to the maid in your house
and you are seducing the person who is
your maid in your house.
What kind of woman are you?
And you know a woman in that position,
she will not find it easy for her
to tolerate this comment.
So she decided to teach them lesson, very
good lesson actually, or should I say good
or evil lesson.
She invited them and provided them with something
which they have to lie down when they
put themselves like this.
And it's something that they can relax and
catch those fruits and eat them.
And then she told Yusuf, she knows how
to put messages in her own way.
At first, you see the way she presented
the case to the husband.
And secondly, now when she's inviting those people,
because what was the purpose?
She just want to tell them that you
guys are very vulnerable and I'm much stronger
than you.
If there is somebody to be blamed, it
should be you, not me.
Because I lived with him for 30 years,
never, never introduced myself to him in this
way except once.
And let's see if you can stand him
for one day.
So she asked Yusuf to just come and
walk in front of them.
Subhanallah, when he came and he passed, Allah
says, you see the way he put it,
he did not say, which means they kept
cutting, cutting, you know, their fingers.
And they don't feel anything because the brain
is gone.
We really need to be careful.
Rabbul Alameen will never put a barrier between
us and something except that wallahi, the harm
is very much.
And sometimes the drunkness these people might be
in is worse than the drunkness of somebody
who is drinking wine.
We have heard a lot of stories of
people losing control.
Later on, they wake up to understand what
they're doing.
You can see the example of these sisters,
right?
They are from the rich house because she
did not invite the sisters from the city.
Anyhow, she invited the sisters of the important
people because she's also at the same position.
A rich, well off, but when they come
to the place they see him, they couldn't
believe what they're seeing.
They said, they cut their fingers, right?
Yeah, that is a story.
I don't know about you, but I know
you guys have moved to in your places.
But they said, you see, if you look
at your hands, you see the lines, right?
If you don't have them, then you should
better go to the hospital to check your
DNA, whether you're from the human beings or
not.
Anyway, so you see these lines.
They said people used to have hands with
no lines.
Please don't go out of this place until
I finish this part.
They said people used to have no lines.
But after the sisters cut off the hand
and whoever was born after that, then we
have the line.
Is it true or just this is storytelling?
Storytelling.
Okay, Alhamdulillah.
See, I told you, Mufti.
So, they said this cannot be human beings
and they skipped also the jinns.
They said, it cannot be anyone except a
big angel, an important angel, special angel, also
even amongst angels.
But after that event, now the story is
going to reach the city.
Before, the only one who knows are the
sisters, the wives of the big people, right?
But now everyone in the city knows about
that.
So, that's the reason why the authorities, they
realize that keeping Yusuf alayhis-salam in the
city just like that might be dangerous to
the sisters.
That's the reason why they take him to
jail, subhanAllah.
Taking him to jail is harsh.
Although it is part of the responsibility of
the authority, if they see this thing is
happening, they have to take action.
But they take action in the way unfairness
will not be placed on the other person
because he is innocent.
He did not make himself like this.
Allah made him like that.
Is that clear?
In the time of Umar radiyallahu anhu, they
said there was somebody in Medina who was
very handsome.
The sisters got distracted from this person.
So, what Umar did, he brought him when
he was told about the case.
He asked him to shave his head.
He became bald.
Unfortunately, he turns to be more handsome than
before.
So, what Umar did, he sent him to
Iraq.
In Iraq, he did not send him to
jail, but live in that place where people
don't know you.
At least we minimize the problem.
So, please listen to this hadith of the
Prophet subhanAllah that says, ايَّاكُمْ اتْخُولَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ
Wallahi, don't you ever tell yourself, I am
this and that.
I have big taqwa.
You get it?
In every place where you're going to be
with a man or with a woman, fear
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and move to
another place.
You get it?
It's not easy.
The good people among those two is the
one that at the end of the day,
after a bad relationship, they marry each other.
Is that clear?
But unless they try to fix it in
the future, but after messing up things.
So, it is not a joke.
It's not a joke.
Rabbul Alamin knows exactly what he does.
You want this?
Rasulullah subhanAllah told us the best and the
only way, Islamically too, to get it, which
is marriage.
And that's it.
So, Rasulullah subhanAllah left Yusuf alayhis salam.
He moved to heaven number five and Suharoon
alayhis salam.
And he moved to heaven number four.
He saw Idrees number five and number six.
He saw Musa alayhis salam.
This is actually the most important one.
And in heaven number seven, he saw Ibrahim
alayhis salam, leaning, putting his back towards the
Baitul Mamur.
You know Baitul Mamur, right?
The house which is on top of the
Kaaba, meaning located in the heaven number seven.
But if you are to break it down,
if the house is to fall down, it
will fall on the Kaaba.
Every single day, how many angels goes to
that place?
70,000 angels every day.
And they will never see that gate.
After that, Rasulullah subhanAllah was told by Musa,
I'm sorry, by Jubilee alayhis salam, he said,
Ya Muhammad, this is my maqam.
Maqam means the last place I can reach.
Allah says, Angels, they walk with Awamir.
You get it?
They do things with Awamir.
Allah says do, they do.
So there is a place where Jibreel cannot
cross that place.
So when he reached that place, and you
know this is the leader of angels.
When he reached that place, he told the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Ya Rasulullah, this
is the last place I can reach.
And therefore, Ya Rasulullah, you have to continue
your journey alone.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala lifted me up to
the place where I can hear the sounds
of the pens writing the decrees of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
SubhanAllah.
Wallahi to our knowledge, I don't know, to
my knowledge, little knowledge, never heard of a
person amongst the human beings that Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala took to that place.
Only Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
He reached that place.
From that place, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
revealed to him the Wahi.
He did not see Rabbul Alameen.
When he was asked about him, he said,
There was a light.
I don't see Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
because of that light.
And this is the light that Rasulullah sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam mentioned in the hadith of
Abu Musa al-Ashari, right?
He says, The hijab of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is a light.
If Allah is to remove it, If Allah
is to remove this light, whatever the eyes
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala catches will
be burned completely.
So he put the light between him and
us so that we can live and survive.
Otherwise, Wallahi, there will be no life.
No angels, no human beings, no animals, no
anything.
Everything will be gone.
That's how powerful are the sight of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
So he put the light to protect us
from getting affected by his power.
So the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam spoke
to Allah and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
talked to him.
He heard the voice of Rabbul Alameen because
Allah is Al-Mutakallim.
One of the scholars says, whoever thinks, whoever
believes that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
not Al-Mutakallim, then he is rejecting the
message of all of the messengers of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Because Allah spoke to Jibreel, Jibreel spoke to
them, that's how they know.
It's not kalamun nafsi.
You know that the people, a prophet just
feel that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala put
something in his heart.
It doesn't go like that.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala spoke to the
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam through Jibreel.
But in this event, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala, in this instance, Allah talked to the
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam directly with the
barrier but Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam can
hear his voice.
Allah gave him the last two ayahs of
Surah Al-Baqarah and Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala gave him also 50 prayers.
How many?
50 prayers.
Do you hear the number?
50 prayers.
And nowadays, imagine if the prayers are 50.
There are five and still we have huge
amount of people who are not praying, who
think that it is extremism actually to pray
five times in a day.
So Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam was very
happy that he got how many prayers from
Allah?
50 prayers.
So he came down, he passed Ibrahim alayhi
s-salam, he went to Musa, when he
passed Musa, Musa called him back.
This story is very interesting story.
Shaykh Nasruddin has a book called Al-Isra
wal-Miraj.
It is good to have that book because
it compiles for you all the versions and
the narrations of Al-Isra wal-Miraj.
By Allah, you will see a lot, a
lot, a lot of things, amazing things.
That is why Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
said, only little, some part of the ayat
of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
That is from the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam.
So he passed Ibrahim, Ibrahim did not do
anything.
He passed Musa alayhi s-salam.
Musa called him.
He said come, because Musa dealt with Bani
Israel, Bani Israel.
And that is the reason why the whole
world is in trouble actually, up to date.
That is why reading history is good, so
that you will know who you are dealing
with, who you are dealing with, so that
you will not get disappointed that much.
So Musa called him.
The first question he asked him, he said,
what did your Lord give you?
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he was so
happy to inform Musa that Allah sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam gave him 50 prayers.
Musa said, 50 prayers?
He said, yes, 50 prayers.
He told him, Ya Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam, he said, I faced a lot of
challenges and difficulties in dealing with Bani Israel,
and they are much stronger than your Ummah
in terms of body building.
And power and ability.
But they were not able to do that.
He says, your Ummah cannot do that.
Subhanallah, look at, you know, al-Nasih al
-Tayyibah.
He said, your Ummah cannot do that.
And that's why seeking the advice of people
who have experience is always good before doing
things.
It's very important to ask an expert who
has been in the system before you and
succeeded.
How did he manage to succeed?
To guide you so that you will not
be doing experiments.
You just know what to do to succeed
in the way they succeeded.
Musa called Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam and
told him that your Ummah would not be
able to do this.
He said, what to do?
He said, go back to Allah sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam and ask him for a takfeeh.
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam went back, Allah
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam reduced, five.
In some narration, ten.
He came back to Musa.
Musa asked him, what happened?
He said, Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam reduced.
Down they are.
They are only 45 or 40.
Musa said, no, they can't.
Don't worry, just go back and ask.
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam went back to
Allah.
Allah reduced again, the same amount.
Whenever he comes to Musa, Musa would tell
him, go back.
I really advise you not to take this
back to your Ummah.
Go and ask for takfeeh.
He went to Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
Allah reduced.
So it kept on being reduced until the
time we have only five prayers.
When he reached Musa alayhi s-salam, Musa
told him, yeah Muhammad, your Ummah cannot do
this.
Therefore, I really advise you to go and
ask Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam to reduce.
Maybe Musa wanted one or two.
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, he said,
I have been going up between you and
Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
Until now, Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam made
it only five.
He said, inshallah, they will be able to
do.
I feel shy to go back to Allah
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam to ask him to
reduce from five.
Musa insisted.
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, five, I
don't want to go back with five.
And then they heard a voice talking to
them that these are five prayers.
And Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says, He
says, these are five prayers in numbers.
But in reward, you will get the reward
of 50 prayers.
Not 50 reward, the reward of 50 prayers.
Alhamdulillah, the reward of 50 prayers.
And then Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says,
my statement will not be changed.
That's the reason why the majority of the
scholars said, there are only five prayers that
are obligatory upon us.
Other than that, all sunnah.
But time will not permit to discuss this
matter.
The most controversial matter is with the Tahir
al-Masjid.
I will advise, although if you look at
the Nusus, the best and the closest opinion
is the one that says it is highly
recommended for a person to pray Tahir al
-Masjid because of the hadith of those three
people who came to the Masjid.
We have some other hadith where the Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam received a Bedouin who
came to him and tell him, Ya Rasulullah,
the five daily prayers, apart from that, is
there anything that is wajib?
And he clearly stated that no, he said
no, except if you want to do sunnah.
You get it?
And also some other places where the Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said this, that hadith
also, you get it?
So the best is to pray at the
Tahir al-Masjid, although one of the evidences
to use for the majority of the scholars
is that the hadith of those three brothers,
three companions who came to the Masjid.
When they came to the Masjid, three of
them.
The first one, he looked for a space
and sat down in the space.
Ya Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam was there.
So the first one looked for a space
and he sat in that space.
The second one, he couldn't find space, that
is not for him, so he sat behind
the people, right behind the companions.
The third one, he got annoyed, just left
back home.
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, don't
you want me to tell you about those
three people who came?
He said, Amma ahaduhumma fa'awa ila Allah,
fa'awahu Allah.
The first one, the one who looked for
a space and came in, he rushed to
Rabb al-Alamin and Allah brought him closer
to him.
And the second one, the one that doesn't
have the space and he sat behind, he
was shy of Allah and Allah was shy
of him also.
He also got the blessing.
As for the third one, Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam said, fa'arad anila, turns away
from Allah s.w.t, fa'arad allahu
an, and Allah s.w.t turns away
from him.
You see, there is no mention in this
narration that when they come to the masjid,
they pray first before sitting down.
And this is one of the matters that
cannot be hidden.
When it happens, the narrator of that, he
will say, these people, they come to the
masjid, the first thing they did, they prayed
to Allah s.w.t, but they don't
mention.
So we learn from this that they did
not pray and the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam did not make any comment on what
happened with them.
But as I said, it is really not
appropriate for a person to come to the
masjid and sit down without praying, unless if
there is a justification for that.
Justification like what?
When you come to the masjid and there
is a halqa ilmiya, which you are one
of the students who are coming to the
halqa and you are really, really paying attention
in that which is being said in the
halqa, it's when you come to the masjid
and the halqa already begins, the sheikh already
started talking, the best is to do what
they did in those companions.
Go straight forward to the dars and sit
down.
Rather than you going to pray and being
distracted at the same time, because if you
are really and truly a student of knowledge,
trust me, you will never have khushu in
that prayer.
Trying to combine between what the sheikh is
saying and also maintaining your khushu which might
not be possible.
So the best is to do what those
companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
did, bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
So that's Isra.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went down,
he left Musa alayhis salam and he came
to us.
When he came to us, back to the
people, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
in the hadith, let me see if I
can get you this narration, okay.
He says, Jibreel came to the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam twice and now the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam learned, I mean he
received the prayers, right?
So now he needs to know how to
do the prayers, yeah?
How to pray according to the system given
to him by Allah s.w.t. So
he says, Jibreel came to me marratin, twice.
And he prayed with me when the sun
inclined, you know, moved from the middle of
the sky, you know, during the midday when
the sun comes from the east.
He would keep moving slowly, slowly until it
reached the middle, then it stopped.
It would stop moving for how long?
Five to seven or ten minutes, around that
amount of time.
And this is the time when we are
not supposed to pray sunnah, sunnah prayers.
So Jibreel came to him and he came
during the time of zuhr and prayed zuhr
with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Who was the Imam?
Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, right?
Jibreel, any evidence for this?
The hadith says, Jibreel came to me marratin,
twice.
But the hadith doesn't mention the Imam.
Why is it mentioned in the hadith that
Jibreel was the Imam?
Yeah, he can pray and then Jibreel can
tell him, okay, this prayer is right, this
prayer is wrong.
I'm just mentioning things, you know.
If you have any, who tells you?
Where did you get it?
What kind of evidence would you give him?
You remember last time you lost, right?
And I fixed you and now you're losing
also in the same way.
In Muwatta Imam Malik, if I'm not mistaken,
the first hadith in Muwatta Imam Malik, it
is mentioned, it says, Ammani Jibreel marratin.
Ammani Jibreel marratin.
That's why Umar bin Abdul Aziz was asking
the narrator, he says, are you sure?
He says, Ammani or not?
He says, yes, Ammani Jibreel marratin.
When he says, he prayed with me also
indicated that Jibreel was the Imam.
Or as he would say, So when he
says, he says, we learned that Jibreel was
the Imam and the Prophet of Allah, so
he prayed when the sun just moved to
the, I mean, from the middle of the
sky, just a bit.
That's why he said, And he prayed Asr
with me.
And he came, Asr time, when the shadow
of everything is equivalent to its height.
If you measure the height of this object,
you see the shadow, right?
If you measure the height, the length will
be equivalent to the height.
That means Asr prayer time is over.
Yeah, it's better to know these things, you
know, because sometimes you might be trapped in
a place where you don't have a prayer
time.
We're the lazy Umar now.
Yeah, we have the calendars, we have everything,
but if you go to the place where
you don't, you have no clue.
Do you get it?
I went to a place, no internet connection,
and this is the man of Kufa.
Yeah, you get it?
I asked one of the people who, I
can't remember whether he called himself a Muslim
in the reception, but I asked him, Where
is the Qibla?
He just very quickly said this.
The way he pointed at the Qibla, we
have doubt.
So I managed to get some internet from
the hotel, then I used, you know the
Qibla finder?
I have like four of them.
Each one of them is telling me, this
one here, this one there, this one there.
So I was telling my family what to
do with that.
The guy told us different place.
This Qibla, they call Qibla finder.
Yeah, they lost their ability also in that
place.
So at the end of the day, I
just have to do Ijtihad.
Look at the two of them that are
closer to each other.
I say, Inshallah, they're almost having a consensus
among them.
So he prayed Asr.
The time he prayed with him Asr is
when the shadow of an object reached the
same as its height.
Again, it's clear, Inshallah, right?
So Zuhur, right when it moves from the
middle of the sky.
Asr, he comes when it reached the length
of the height.
And he prayed Maghrib with us when the
fasting person breaks his fast.
When is that?
Right after the sunset.
Can you get it?
Subhanallah, look at this religion of ours.
In the Zuhur, the Zuhur, when do you
eat?
Right before Fajr.
They actually said the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam finished his Zuhur when the Mu'adhin
is saying Allahu Akbar.
The Fajr already comes.
That's why they said it's about 10 minutes
before Fajr.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam does his
Zuhur.
It's the amount of time that you can
read 50 ayat.
You can say about 10 minutes.
That's how the Zuhur of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam is.
That's the best way to make it then.
You get it?
Allah swt says until you see Fajr.
I know many scholars, they try to put
you on the safe side, but sometimes putting
you on the safe side costs you a
lot.
They push you behind.
The real Fajr is six, for instance, and
the Imsaq is 5.40. You have a
20-minute gap.
You will not know how hard is this
until you wake up late at 5.40.
And then the Imsaq calendar tells you Imsaq.
You start doing Ijtihad.
So Islamically, Allah swt says So you see,
if Zuhur, you eat until the last minute,
right?
Eat until the last minute.
But for breaking the fast, right after the
sunset, you should break your fast.
That's why Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told
that person, He asked him to get them
their food.
The man said, Still, if you go to
that hill, you will see the sun.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, get
them and get us our food.
He said, Rasulullah, I'm pretty sure if you
go to that place, you will still see
the sun.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told
him, bring us our food.
He's using what he thinks is supposed to
be the hukum.
You know, the sun is still there.
If this is the case, we will never
break our fast.
Because the sun left Malaysia, where is it?
It went to the Maghrib al-ard.
It is still there.
That means we just tell people who are
in Malaysia, you cannot break your fast until
the sunset.
When is it going to be the sunset?
When the sun rises from the west.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told
him this beautiful hadith.
He says, listen, when you see the night
coming from this direction and the day going
towards the other direction, he says you have
already finished your fast, whether you like it
or you don't, you don't like it.
That's why for the first time when I
was using, what do you call, I fasted
in the aeroplane.
And subhanAllah, I remember this hadith so much.
Twice it happens in both ways.
One going to Saudi, I see the darkness
of the night.
I can't see everything.
But the guy was telling us, please don't
break your fast.
It is not Maghrib yet.
And subhanAllah, they were very bad in their
reception because they give us the tamr, give
it in front of you, and they kept
on telling us, don't eat.
It is not Maghrib yet.
The second scenario is when the pilot says
or whoever is making the announcement, he says,
alhamdulillah, taqabbalallahu subhanahu wa ta'ala jami'a
ta'atikum, hana waqt al-iftar.
I see here, I can see the light
of the sun.
And the guy was telling me, but honestly
speaking, my iman doesn't reach.
I couldn't break my fast.
But reading this hadith of the Prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam, then you will understand that
yes, they were right in whatever they were
doing.
So the focus is where?
Up there or on the ground?
On the ground.
You don't see the space.
You judge based on the earth.
You get it?
On the ground.
The place where you are, if it is
Maghrib, it doesn't matter up there.
Because you are on top of everything, you
might keep on seeing the light of the
sun.
Okay, so Maghrib, he says aftar al-sa
'ib.
Iftar al-sa'ib means when the sun
sets immediately, then you pray Maghrib.
Did we skip?
No, we skipped fajr, right?
He prayed Isha' with me when the shafaq
disappeared.
You know shafaq, right?
When the sun set, usually if you go
out when the sun sets, in Malaysia it
might not be clear because of the clouds
most of the time.
But if you go to places where the
vast majority of the day, the sky is
clear, when the sun sets, you will see
the clouds in the Maghrib, they will be
red somehow or yellow, right?
They remain like this even after the sun
already set completely.
Yeah, they remain like this for a while,
right?
So the Prophet ﷺ, Jibreel prayed with him
when the shafaq, those red clouds, disappeared completely.
Then he comes to pray Isha' with him.
So that's when the beginning of the Isha'
time is Maghrib, al-shafaq, al-ahmar.
وصلى بي الفجر حين حورم الطعام والشرب And
he prayed fajr with me when the ta
'am and sharab is haram.
When is it haram to eat if you're
fasting?
Fajr time.
Which fajr?
The sadiq or the kadhib?
Yeah, because I say sadiq, I say kadhib,
for sure you would choose the sadiq one,
right?
Which one is sadiq and which one is
the kadhib?
No, I know the first one is kadhib,
but how do I recognize it?
The fox tail.
The fox tail, the tail, right?
Like this, right?
The fajr is sadiq, they say mustateer.
Mustateer, this is the kadhib one.
Mustateer, you know, teel, teer, you know, ra
'lam and ra', right?
Mustateer, like this, tayran, the one that comes
like this, this is the one that is
the correct one.
It is the beginning of the daylight, right?
It's the beginning of the daylight.
Yeah, that's why if you are in places
where they depend too much on the calendar,
you have to be very careful.
Seriously, because sometimes they design the calendar based
on the fajr al-kadhib, the first fajr,
not the second fajr.
And if you pray at that time, your
prayer is I can't remember anyone who disagrees
with this because the time to pray is
not yet, you know, due.
You get it?
If I pray after the time, accidentally, let's
say I have two people in a room,
they couldn't see the sun, they locked them
in a room, so they don't know when
the fajr comes.
So subhanAllah, they use their watch, but they
don't know when is it fajr time.
So one of them prayed, let's say at
4 a.m. at night, and the other
one prayed at 7 a.m. at night,
in the morning, 7 a.m. in the
morning.
Whose prayer is accepted?
Let's say when they are out, they realize
that, oh, I prayed at this time and
the other one also prayed at the other
time.
Whose prayer is accepted?
The 7 a.m., not the 4.
They said the 7 a.m. because the
obligation is already there, already established by Rabbul
Alameen brought it to us.
The one who prayed at 4 a.m.,
Allah did not even ask him to pray.
So he was doing things on his own,
like the one who fasted Ramadan in Shawwal
and the other one fasted Ramadan in Shaban.
Which one is accepted?
The Shawwal one, right?
All of them are doing it by mistake.
They couldn't know when is it Ramadan.
So this one realized that, oh, he fasted
in Shawwal.
His one is accepted because the obligation is
already there.
So the problem lies when it comes to
the sisters, actually.
Usually the brothers in most of the masajid,
with the exception of one masjid in some
place, I will not mention the place, they
said they pray very early.
Somebody told me from that place, maybe 5
to 10 minutes or less than that.
But in the usual masajid, people give like
15 minutes in fajr prayer before we pray.
So that saved the brothers from losing their
prayers.
But the problem is you have sisters who
want to pray at the first part of
the time.
When they hear the mu'adhin, what are
they going to do?
They will make wudu and pray.
And subhanallah, they will be losing their prayers.
Inshallah, they will not be held responsible when
they meet the last martyr because of ignorance.
But now we know that we have to
be very careful, right?
Alhamdulillah, a few years ago here, I think
there is an announcement that says we have
to add 8 minutes.
Subhanallah, one of the most happiest moments is
that moment for me because I used to
have doubt in our prayers.
But then when the announcement was made that
there was a mistake in the thing and
then the command is to add 8 minutes.
That's when you go to the masjid, you
pray, you come out of the masjid, you
can see that the stars are gone.
You can start seeing the light of the
daylight.
A bit of it, a very bit of
it.
We're still in that night, but a very
bit of it.
But before, I used to go out and
do some exercises, but still the najumah smiling
at you and we think we pray fajr.
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar.
Many scholars have been warning people.
I remember one of our scholars, Sheikh Nasir,
he said he lived in a place in
that city.
He said he never saw a masjid that
is praying on time except one.
And unfortunately, it is too far from his
house.
He said, I used to travel to that
place just to pray fajr, to catch up
my fajr.
And he said, Allah blessed me to live
at the edge of the city.
So it's just a desert and an open
area.
So he said, I can see sunrise and
I can see fajr.
I can see all of these things very
clearly.
So I think we should really be very
careful.
He says he prayed fajr with me.
So he came to me the next day.
So this is the first day, right?
Remember he said he prayed twice with me,
right?
The next day, Jibreel came and he prayed
zuhr with me.
He says when the shadow of an object
is the same as its height.
This is the beginning of the asr prayer
time, right?
Yeah, this is when the asr prayer time
begins.
So the next day when he comes, he
prayed zuhr at the time when the asr
prayer time is supposed to begin.
You remember last time we said asr prayer?
Zuhr, when it moves from the middle, okay?
And then asr, he comes when the shadow
is the same.
So the next day he came at the
last part of the zuhr time, right?
That's for zuhr.
He prayed asr with me when the shadow
of everything was twice the size of the
height of an object.
So if let's say zuhr prayer ends here,
you get it?
The asr prayer time begins here.
You get it?
So the end of the asr prayer begins,
I mean ends here, okay?
Zuhr begins from here until here, for instance,
right?
And then asr prayer time begins, right?
And asr prayer times ends when the length
of the shadow is double, twice the height
of that object.
So if I say this is the length
of the height of an object, so that's
been somewhere around here.
That's the end of the asr prayer time.
I hope people will listen to this because
this is a very serious matter.
Many of us are making this mistake.
Asr prayer time ends by this time.
There are scholars who believe that if you
pray after this time, your prayer is batil.
And they have evidence and they are the
ones who are supported by the evidence actually.
You get it?
It says your prayer is batil.
Because the Prophet of Allah said when the
sun is yellow, you know when it comes
out you can look at it, right?
Just the color.
When it is going to set also you
can look at it because it's just a
color.
When it reached that time that you can
look at the sun without facing difficulty, you
get it?
Then the asr prayer time is over.
However, because of the sunnah of the Prophet
that says if you pray asr before one
rakah of the asr before the sunset, you
got the asr prayer.
That's why the majority of the scholars said
asr prayer has two times.
One time for the people who have no
excuse and the other time for the people
who have excuse.
You get it?
If you have no excuse, you're on the
highway, you expect to go out of it
to find a place to pray, you can
delay the prayer even after that moment.
But if you don't have an excuse, you
delay your prayer up to that moment of
time, the minimum we can say is that
you are a sinner.
If we don't say that your prayer is
invalid.
Is it clear inshallah?
So this should be around when?
Around 640, something like that.
Around 640 or 650, something around that amount
of time.
So try to pray your asr before that
moment of time.
Otherwise, you will be committing sin.
The minimum we can say about your prayer
is that you are a sinner.
But as I said, there are some scholars
who believe that your prayer is invalid.
Your prayer is not valid.
And then he came for maghrib time.
Maghrib time, he did not change.
He came at the same time.
That's why some scholars said it has only
one time.
But the truth is that maghrib has two
times, right?
It ends by the red clouds.
And he prayed the isha with me when
the first third of the night is gone.
That's the best time to pray isha prayer.
You get it?
That's the best time to pray isha prayer.
That's why Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
وَوَقْتُ صَلَاتِ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَىٰ نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ Half midnight.
To my knowledge, my dear brothers and sisters,
no evidence whatsoever that could be used to
support the opinion that says isha time extended
to fajr time.
So preserve your prayer.
The hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam said, إِلَىٰ نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ Midnight, midnight, midnight.
Around 12, 12.30, right?
The time finished.
And then it is not the time for
any prayer except the qiyam al-layl.
So isha prayer, I'm sorry, fajr prayer, just
like it is not connected with zuhr.
It is also not connected with isha prayer.
Is that clear?
The Qur'an confirms this.
True?
In surah al-Isra, Allah says, أَقِمِ السَّلَاةَ
لِلْدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ What is duluk al-shams?
Movement of the sun from the middle of
the sky.
Yeah?
That's duluk al-shams.
عَيْزَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ He said you
should establish the prayers from duluk al-shams
until ghasaq al-layl.
When is it ghasaq al-layl?
Midnight.
So from the duluk al-shams إلى غسَقِ
اللَّيْلِ What are the prayers that are included
there?
Fajr and zuhr, asr, maghrib and isha.
Because ghasaq al-layl is the midnight.
They said it is the time when the
darkness of the night is at its peak,
completed.
Then it will remain for a while and
then it will start decreasing.
You know the night when it comes like
this, you know, a little bit and then
it will keep on getting darker, darker, darker
until the time when it is midnight.
This is when it is completely dark.
Unfortunately we are living in a place where
you have the electricity.
The people in the village where there is
no electricity, they can tell you all of
these differences.
But now we don't know what is fajr,
we don't know ghasaq al-layl, we don't
know anything except the calendars.
Is it the time?
Yes.
Yeah.
So very ignorant in this regard, right?
So Allah says until ghasaq al-layl and
then He made a stop, Rabbul Alameen.
He said وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ You see Quran can
say أَقِمِ السَّلَاةَ لِلْدُلُكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ قُرْآنِ الْفَجْرِ
It works.
Allah SWT did not say that.
He said لِلْدُلُكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ Until
ghasaq al-layl.
إِلَىٰ لِلْغَيَةِ He established the prayer until this
moment.
And then He singled out the fajr prayer.
He said وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ Quran al-fajr is
a fajr prayer.
Allah SWT did not link it to the
rest of the prayers.
That's why Ibn Fahmin says this confirms that
fajr prayer ends by midnight.
Just like what the hadith said from the
hadith of Jibril alayhi salam and the other
hadith of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Exactly inshallah.
And then he came for fajr.
So please be careful.
You can delay isha until thuluth al-layl.
11.30 but don't go beyond that.
You can go until the midnight but don't
go beyond the midnight.
And don't even reach the midnight actually.
Don't you ever take that opinion that says
until fajr.
Be on the safe side in your religion.
I remember one of the scholars, I forgot
his name.
A big scholar in our contemporary time.
They said one of the last thing he
said before he passed away, when he was
about to die, he was telling the people
who were around him, please remind people to
take care of their fajr.
We really worry about that.
A couple of scholars drew our attention on
this matter.
I mean that was fajr not isha.
He was talking about the fajr prayer.
Remind people to take care of their fajr.
And I already mentioned that.
So he said Rasulullah received Jibreel for fajr
the next day.
And he prayed fajr prayer with me after
the Isfah.
When is the Isfah?
When it is completely bright.
No any balance of the darkness of the
night remains.
That's why some scholars said the best time
to pray fajr is Isfah.
Because in some narration they said Prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam delayed the fajr until very late.
The sun was about to rise and then
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam prayed fajr.
However the best opinion is the one that
says Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said the vast
majority of his prayers is the mixture of
the darkness of the night with the daylight.
So he began his prayer when the fajr
comes and since he is reading long reading,
60 to 100 verses, so sometimes he ends
the prayer when it is very bright.
So if you are the imam, don't try
this.
Otherwise nobody will come to the masjid except
you and your wife.
She also, she just come in not because
she wants but she has no choice.
The time of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam already
passed and if he does, people can wait.
But for us, we know the nature of
the people we are dealing with.
So be moderate in your prayer according to
what the people can accommodate.
Because the idea is to bring people to
the masjid.
It is to bring people to the masjid.
I remember one of our scholars he read
that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam prayed Maghrib,
this one, and he recited Surah Al-A
'raf.
You know Surah Al-A'raf, more than
200 verses.
He read that surah in Surah Maghrib.
So now what to do?
You read Surah Al-A'raf, Maghrib, nobody
will come to your masjid.
But what he did, he just told people
who are coming to the masjid, we want
to apply the sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam today.
So if you know you cannot stand, please
don't come to our masjid.
Other masjids, go there.
That's fair.
Although somebody might say, no need to announce,
just pray.
But it is good knowing who you are
dealing with, to tell the shabab who will
come to pray.
Okay, lastly, which is the reason why I
brought this hadith.
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, after Jibreel finished
praying with him, qala thumma altafata ilayya.
And then Jibreel, look at me.
That means, who was the Imam?
Jibreel Alayhis Salaam.
He said, Jibreel, look at me.
And then he told me, Ya Muhammad, He
says, He said, Ya Rasulullah, the time for
prayers is between these two prayers.
Between these two times.
You remember in the first day he came
at the beginning of the time?
The second day he came at the last
part of the time.
Right?
For each prayer.
So he told the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
the time for each prayer is between these
two times.
If you pray between these two times, then
Allah will accept it from you.
And also he gave him something that is
quite interesting.
He says, He said, This is also the
time of the Prophets before you, Muhammad.
They all pray.
Prayer is not only us.
Maybe the way we do it might be
with us alone, but it's not only us.
Which shows the importance of the prayer also.
That Allah SWT make it mandatory upon all
of them to pray.
And they pray at the same time.
Because he told them this is also the
same time Allah SWT gave the Prophet before
you.
So inshallah we stop here.
After Maghrib we continue to see what we
can generate from this noble sitting.
May Allah grant you good and Tawfiq and
be with you wherever you are.
Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic
Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic
Arabic Arabic Arabic Allah SWT says, Arabic Arabic
So we can get this light in this
dunya.
And also in the grave, when you reach
the grave you can get the light.
You know the Prophet SAW said, These graves,
the graves, the Prophet SAW said, Arabic Arabic
They are full of darkness inside them.
And Allah is giving them light when I
pray for them.
So when Rasulullah SAW pray for a person
who dies, that person might be given the
light because of this.
So you also when you pray to Allah
SWT you get this light in this position
where you are living in that darkness.
You should remember this.
Arabic But it's too scary.
Sometimes when I look at whatever we have,
just because Sharia says you shouldn't lose you
know, what do you call, the energy.
Always be productive.
And always be optimistic.
And always believe that inshallah you still have
time to to do something for the sake
of your future, your relationship with Rabbul Alameen.
Umar who used to tell the people to
be productive because we still have time.
Just because of this, otherwise whenever you pass
through a graveyard, whenever you pass through this
place, if you are a Muslim who is
within his consciousness, you remember that a day,
you will also end up being in that
hole.
Just like them.
And case closed, they were there.
I look at a person, I look at
the way we are so arrogant, we are
doing whatever we are doing.
Subhanallah I remember this moment, that a moment
will come this person is going to be
silenced by Rabbul Alameen.
Case closed.
Look at these rulers and the bad ones
on earth, you know they are quiet.
You don't hear anything about them.
They are gone.
Back to Rabbul Alameen, to that which they
have been planting.
So we also, we go for that moment.
Walabud.
Walabud.
The normal death is like this.
Except if a person is being taken by
animals and be cut into pieces in the
way people did not even find him to
put him in the grave.
Otherwise we are going to be in that
place also.
So, and you know this is a complete
life.
It's not just a grave where the body
is being placed.
No, it's a Alam.
It's a dimension that stands by itself.
It's a complete life.
In it's own nature.
We don't know how it is but Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam told us it's a life
in that place.
And the place is going to be dark.
Except for those people who are giving the
light.
Right?
You want to have an Anis.
Anis means somebody who will give you comfort.
Otherwise, imagine staying there for how long?
Wallahu Alam, we don't know how we are
going to be.
I mean, how many years we are going
to be under the ground.
Wallahu Alam.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, prepare for
this.
Fix your prayers and do it in the
way Allah SWT wants.
And this is the meaning of the Hafizah
Wa Hafaza Alayha.
Preservation of the prayer, taking care of the
prayer means to do it according to the
way Allah SWT asks you to do it.
So that you can get this light and
it will be evidence also for you on
the Day of Judgment.
We will see this evidence Insha'Allah in
the near future.
And it's going to be also Najat.
What is Najat?
Protection and something that will save you from
the punishment of Allah.
Don't forget the Hadith of the Prophet SAW
that says He says whoever prays to Allah
SWT, he says I'm sorry, The first thing
that Allah SWT will talk about on the
Day of Judgment is a prayer.
So the first question will be on the
prayer.
The Prophet SAW said, if the prayer is
completed Alhamdulillah The slave of Allah SWT is
saved.
So we hope that this person will be
among those people who will be receiving the
Hisab in a very easy way.
Rasulullah SAW said He says If Allah is
to observe real Hisab on you, you will
definitely get into trouble.
And I hope all of us are listening
to this carefully.
If Allah is to observe the Hisab because
Wallahi, Hisab Dhaqeeq.
Dhaqeeq Jiddan.
Dhaqeeq means so subtle, so accurate in the
way that book of record that will be
given to you, things which you even forgot
you did them, you will see them written
in the book.
That's why the Mujrim will be saying to
Allah SWT مال هذا الكتاب لا يغادر صغيرة
ولا كبيرة إلا أحصها The person will be
saying What's wrong with this book?
Even these things also 100% well documented
and preserved Allah says كل إنسان ألزمناه طائره
في عنقه ونخرج له يوم القيامة كتابا يلقاه
منشورا Every single person is moving on this
book of record, that subhanAllah is recording everything
and don't you ever think that yes, this
is the only thing that is recorded the
angels are there also recording, right?
ما يلفظ من قول إلا لديه رقيم عتيد
And the earth is taking record of whatever
you're doing يوم إذن تحدثوا أخبارها Whatever you
did in the place where you're doing, they
also come and tell رب العالمين you did
سبحان الله and on top of all, who
is watching you?
رب البدية لا يظل ربي ولا ينسى I
just want us to sense this, you know,
to understand how much serious is the matter
right?
And your body also is recording whatever is
taking place So Rasulullah s.a.w. said,
if Allah is going to do الحساب, you
will definitely get into trouble Because nowadays we're
told by those people who went through investigations
sometimes when they narrate their stories you can
see it's very thorough and very accurate investigation
being done by who?
By the authority to make sure that the
community is being preserved But some of the
things and the way they do it, you'll
be surprised how accurate it is This is
human capacity What do you think if Rabbul
Alameen is the one who will be checking
your life?
You know that you're going to get into
trouble unless if Allah shows mercy upon you
Because no matter how much authority you have,
how much strong your system is, trust me,
there are some things which you will be
missing Right?
Hidden intentions In the Day of Judgement, Allah
s.w.t يكشف المخبأ والمسطور He says
he knows that which is there in your
heart Not after you do it or not
when you start thinking about it No!
That's part of his knowledge part of his
knowledge which is always with him And he
even wrote that knowledge 50,000 years before
the existence of the universe You get it?
So where to go and hide here?
So I just want you to understand the
importance of this hadith of the Prophet s
.a.w. He says من نقش الحساب عذر
عائشة رضي الله عنها said يا رسول الله
But in the Quran, Allah s.w.t.
says فَسُوفَ يُحَاسَبْ حِسَابًا The good ones will
receive very easy and simple حساب Because he
says if Allah does the hisab, you will
definitely get in trouble But Allah says there
is an easy hisab for the good ones
The Prophet s.a.w. said يا عائشة
إنما ذلك العرض He said that was the
عرض عرض والله أعلم is referring to that
hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari where the Prophet
s.a.w. said Allah will call upon
the righteous person and will put him under
his hijab فَيَضَعْهُ فِي كَنَفِهِ He will put
him under his hijab Meaning he will cover
him And then Allah s.w.t. will
talk to the slave My slave So and
so and so At this moment of time
you did this, you did that Allah will
keep on telling him his mistakes Until the
time a slave will be thinking that خلاص
He will be going to * And then
Rabbul Alamin will say to him I was
the one who concealed you of us in
the dunya And today I will forgive all
of you all of your sins And then
Allah s.w.t. will ask the angels
to take him to paradise Who doesn't want
this?
Who will stay away from this?
So most probably if your prayer is perfect,
inshallah you will receive this type of hisab
You get it?
Because Allah will ask them to check the
prayer, if it is perfect Alhamdulillah If it
is not perfect, you have deficiency like any
one of us Is there anyone of us
whose prayer is 100% perfect?
Nobody can claim this as long as he
is not majnun.
Eww Allah A sane person cannot claim that
his prayer is always perfect There must be
deficiency somewhere around.
You try your best to make it closer
to the sunnah of the Prophet s.a
.w. and that's true But to say that
100% you don't have some mistakes.
You know sometimes you think about dunya, sometimes
you miss this, sometimes this So if the
prayer has deficiency in it then Allah will
ask them to take from the sunnah prayers
to complete their deficiency.
That's the importance of the sunnah prayers It's
very very dangerous, you know for a person
to choose the life of wajibat faqat, only
the wajibat not the sunnah prayers.
Wallahi it's very dangerous because you are going
to have deficiency walabut and you need something
from the same nature of that act of
worship to fix that deficiency.
Prayer with the prayer fasting with fasting.
We have sunnah fasting right?
They will be using them to fix your
deficiency in the Ramadan fasting that you are
making The same goes to the prayer So
if the person is praying the sunnah prayers
Alhamdulillah, it will be taken to fix his
wajib prayer and then Allah will ask them
to take him to paradise Is it a
success?
Yes, ultimate success because you are avoiding them
to check your book because you know who
you are if you are going to be
honest to yourself If the prayer is ok,
then Allah will let you pass the test
That's why Rasulallah said faqad aflahal abdu wa
anjah You succeed But if the prayer is
not complete it's incomplete and there is no
sunnah prayer to fix it Subhanallah This is
when the person has to go through the
thorah hisab and you can understand why the
prayer is enough because Rabbul Alamin says Naturally
if you pray correctly, it will prevent you
from going against the laws of Allah If
you are praying correctly How many times Allah
invites you to come to the masjid?
Five times in a day And these five
times in a day are not enough to
put you in the right way They are
more than enough You tilt a bit after
fajr, Allah brings you back to repent, to
fix your life, to remember that somebody is
watching you.
When you go out, the sense of that
responsibility and accountability is there.
You get it?
Until asr time Also you change a bit,
Allah brings you back for asr Until maghrib,
you change a bit, Allah brings you back
Like that, this is our life Until the
time we go and sleep For those who
sleep Allah swt makes night for us to
reduce our burdens, to relax, to take rest.
But unfortunately sometimes we engage in unnecessary things
Right?
So So most likely it's going to be
applicable on the person whose prayer is incomplete
Exactly as so this hadith is really, really
important for us.
For you to bypass that heavy accountability and
the reckoning in the presence of Bari azza
wa jal, because wallah I swear by Allah
to you, this is the greatest moment that
can ever take place in your life.
Being judged by Allah swt And whether we
like it or we don't like it Rasulallah
s.a.w. said He said there is
nobody amongst you except that Allah is going
to talk to him without even having somebody
to interpret what is going on between him
and Rabbul Alamin That's why one of the
Khulafa told one of the scholars, he said
Please advise me You get it?
What do you think my position will be
if I meet Allah swt That sheikh was
very smart He told him, sir you will
be one of the two people Either you
are righteous or you are a wrongdoer If
you are righteous you meeting with Rabbul Alamin
will be just like a missing person for
ages and now he is coming back to
his family members Remember when you were away
from the family for like 10 years, 15
years, many years When you come back, how
was it?
Your mother is crying, your siblings are crying
Everyone is crying, because they are sad you
are coming back, out of happiness You know,
they lost control they are even crying, out
of happiness They can't believe, you know, some
of them they have to pinch themselves, is
it even true that you are back?
Alhamdulillah Subhanallah, I love the way he put
it because this is the closest reality we
can see to understand this fact He said,
if you are a righteous person going back
to Allah swt is just a missing person
going back to his family, the happiness will
be like that Allah is happy to see
you and you are very happy to meet
Rabbul Alamin You know what kind of house
you are going to be given However if
you are a wrongdoer He said فَإِنَّكَ سَتَكُونُ
كَالْعَبْدِ الْآبِكَ Just like a slave that ran
away from his master You know, in those
days when the slaves are not recognized as
human beings that much How much they have
been punished, they cut their ears cut their
nose, cut some part of them you know,
different types of punishments He said, if you
are not a righteous person, it's just like
a slave that ran away and the master
asked somebody to bring him and they brought
him by force.
You know what kind of punishment is he
going to be going through Imagine this is
Rabbul Alamin the creator of everyone Today, he
asked the angel to bring you back We
like, we don't like and we come back
in that situation He said, you will be
like that person So Fix your prayers to
bypass this heavy test that will take place
on the Day of Judgment And to give
you another good news also, Rasulallah said, يَوْمُ
الْقِيَامَةُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَقَدْرِ مَا بَيْنَ صَلَاتِ الظُّهْرِ
وَالْأَصْرِ The Day of Judgment for the believers
is going to be just like the length,
the duration between Dhuhr and Asr You know
on the Day of Judgment, Allah SWT says
في يوم كان مقداره خمسين ألف سنة In
the hadith of Zakah for those people who
are not faithful in Zakah The Prophet SAW
said, after the punishment in the Arasat of
Yawm Al-Qiyamah ثُمَّ يُرَى سَبِيلُهُ أو ثُمَّ
يَرَى سَبِيلَهُ إِمَّا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَإِمَّا إِلَى النَّارِ
And then he will be shown his way
either to Jannah or to * But then,
while he was punished by those snakes by
those animals for how long before he goes
to *?
For how long?
50,000 years.
The Prophet SAW said on a day, you
will be punished like this on a day
which has 50,000 years long.
The length is 50,000 years Here Allah
is really really a good time for us
to make a choice 50,000 years versus
how many hours between Dhuhr and Asr?
2-3 hours, right?
50,000 years versus 3 hours وَاللَّهُ عَلَى
كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ You are next to a
person who sees that day with 50 like
the length of 50,000 years and this
is reality, not illusion أُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ is a
reality because رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ said it 50,000
years being punished by Allah SWT in many
different types of punishments.
And then at the end of the day,
Rasulullah said and then they will show him
his way either to Jannah or to *.
If he is among the non-Muslims no
Jannah in his case So either you choose
this or you choose the other one which
is this amount of duration Do you get
it?
So the choice is ours to pray to
Allah SWT correctly and get this privilege when
we meet Rabbul Alamin And Rasulullah also was
asking in one of the hadith.
They said, Ya Rasulullah هَلْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ You know that the best thing in
Jannah is?
What is the best thing in Jannah?
Don't tell me the liver from the fish
you know My friend love fish also so
much Anyway, don't tell me fish No But
Seeing Rabbul Alamin Seeing Rabbul Alamin رُؤْيَةِ النَّظَرِ
إِلَى وَجِيلِ اللَّهِ الْكَرِيمِ That's the best thing
in Jannah Ibn Qayyim says Wallahi لَوْ لَا
رُؤْيَةُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ فِي الْجَنَّاتِ مَا طَابَتْ لِذِنْ عِرْفَعَنِ
He said, Wallahi If there is no chance
to see Rabbul Alamin in Jannah Jannah would
not be as interesting as it is The
fact that people are going to see Allah
SWT is enough to make Jannah the most
beautiful and excellent place You know, without seeing
Allah is, I mean I don't want to
say way better because there is no comparison
between Jannah and the Dunya You get it,
but seeing Allah SWT in Jannah is the
most important part of Jannah That's why he
He says when
the believers see Allah SWT they will forget
whatever they got in Jannah Whatever enjoyment, it
will fizzle It's like they never enjoy anything
in their life They don't want to go
This is Rabbul Alamin to agree with us
to see Him when we are in Jannah
Allah SWT grants us this ability to be
in a place where we can see Him
every time And then Ibn Qayyim says وَاللَّهِ
مَا فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا أَلَذُّ مِنْ اشْتِيَطِ الْعَبْدِ
لِلْرَحْمَةِ See that's why nothing is sweeter than
having the strong interest to meet Allah SWT
on the Day of Judgment in this Dunya
You know righteousness?
Righteousness is the sweetest thing in this Dunya
Only مَحْرُوم, somebody who doesn't know think that
living your own life is fancy is better
Well, Allah is not You are poor And
not only poor You are going to suffer
from an internal depression And Allah SWT will
remove that comfort in your heart You will
not receive it The righteous priest's sister said
in this Dunya there is Jannah If you
don't get this Jannah getting the one in
the Hereafter might be difficult for you He
said we are in Jannah in this Dunya
Which Jannah are they talking about?
الْأُنْسُ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّمْ Trust me my dear
brothers and sisters just to remember that if
you are good Allah says He is on
your side Allah is enough to bring comfort
to your heart That's why the righteous priest's
sisters in the past you see them No
matter what, they don't want to change their
mind They bring the saw You know that
kind of thing that you cut wood with
it They cut a person into two pieces
and sometimes four pieces They just want him
to say كَفَرْتُ بِاللَّهِ I disbelieve in Allah
but he will not agree He would rather
die than saying the word because he knows
what it means You know Hubaib right?
Those group of people that Prophet SAW sent
to one of the villages and they deceived
them SubhanAllah They deceived them So they killed
all of them except Hubaib left Asim also
was killed Asim is the one that says
to Allah He asks Allah SWT He says
Ya Allah Do not let a kafir touch
my body SubhanAllah Look at how Rabbul Alamin
is protecting the interest of the good one
even after he left He kept the Ahad
for him When he died Asim killed one
of the Tab You know Even once in
Makkah during the battle of Badr His wife
or his mother promised that whoever can bring
the head of Asim she will remove everything
in the head and just keep the skull
and fill it with gold for him She
will make the head hollow and fill it
with gold and give it to him So
people in Makkah they are really waiting for
this period of time that they can get
the head of this man and get the
gold Suddenly it was announced to the Meccans
that this person got killed People rushed to
him SubhanAllah Not knowing that they are dealing
with real Awliya of Allah SWT When he
died You remember his dua He says Ya
Allah don't let my body to be touched
by the kafir So when they went to
get the head SubhanAllah Dabur What is the
name of that kind of dabi The hornet
Those ones They came in thousands or millions
They covered him completely Nobody was able to
approach him So people can see money is
there but nobody can go SubhanAllah After a
while Some narrations said he was swallowed by
the earth They couldn't find him Some said
he was taken by the Sayyid The river
that comes from the hill Temporarily The point
is Rabbul Alameen kept his his request right
None of them was able to touch him
That's how he disappeared When they came to
kill him SubhanAllah his story was very amazing
They mentioned that they kept him in a
place and they refused to give him food
The sisters in the house who were cooking
and they don't share with him They confirmed
that they saw him eating fresh grapes and
tamar Where at the same time in the
Arabian Peninsula there is no way you can
find those ones You just have to look
for the raisins and the dry tamar but
not the fresh one They used to see
him eating those ones Because he was there
for the sake of Rabbul Alameen and nobody
is helping him with anything Allah is sending
him support from his side SubhanAllah Did that
harshness cause him to change his mind?
No They brought him to kill him They
asked him what do you want us to
do?
We are about to execute you but what
do you want us to do for you?
He said I just want you to let
me pray 2 rakat SubhanAllah They let him
pray 2 rakat He prayed the best 2
rakat he can pray And then he finished
and he told them He said Wallah if
not because of me being afraid of you
guys saying that I am making them long
because I don't want to die He said
I don't pray like this I was planning
to make them very long but I don't
want you guys to say that I am
scared of death SubhanAllah One of those people
who witnessed this moment Every year, one of
the governors of Umar, every year when this
moment of time comes he used to faint
Nobody knows why was he fainting because he
was there when he was watching He said
there was no spot on his body except
that you can find a cut of the
sword or sphere or arrow in the body
of that person SubhanAllah And you know what
he was saying while they were doing this?
He says He says He said I don't
care As long as I die as a
Muslim He said I don't care And they
were hitting him but what comes from his
mouth is He said I have no worries
SubhanAllah look at how much comfort Allah SWT
gave him At this moment he was telling
them He said I don't care Wallah As
long as I know that my body is
going to be falling on the place which
Allah SWT loves, he said I don't care
He said This
story is found in Sahih Al-Bukhari That's
why I said the statement of Ibn Al
-Qayyim Is the best statement that you should
be living in to remember that Rabbul Alameen
is in your side Wallah is the most
enjoyable moment in this In this dunya And
this is the reference in the statement of
the Salaf When they say we are in
ni'mah If the rich people know about it
They will be willing to fight us with
sword to get it So preserve your prayer
my dear brothers and sisters The companion said
Can we see Allah SWT on the day
of judgment?
He said Yes, just like the way nobody
is depriving you from seeing the sun and
the moon when it is on the night
of Badr You will be able to see
Allah SWT like that And then he said
He said therefore You see the connection between
and the prayers He said you will be
seeing Allah on the day of judgment, therefore
if you can be able not to miss
a prayer before the sunrise and a prayer
before the sunset He said do You can
see the connection between Salawat and Ru'aytullah
The scholar said one of the best means
for you to be able to qualify seeing
Allah SWT on the day of judgment is
to pray to Rabbul Alamin As I said
there is a lot to say concerning this
matter but I will complete with these two
things and then we will move to the
last part of our session Abdullah bin Mas
'ud said Salawat Abdullah bin
Mas'ud said whoever wants to meet Allah
SWT on the day of judgment as a
Muslim, he said let him take care of
this Salawat And remember in the Hadith of
the Prophet SAW, the previous one that I
quoted when I talk about the Salat if
you preserve it, it will be light and
evidence for you and support for you and
also Najat protection for you on the day
of judgment Rasulullah SAW said If you don't
preserve the prayer you will not get this
And on the day of judgment this person
will be resurrected together with Firaun and Qarun
and Haman and Ubay bin Khalaf And you
know on the day of judgment every single
person is going to be resurrected with the
same people of his nature.
Imagine a person being resurrected in the middle
of these guys in the middle of these
guys and what was his problem?
Because he neglected the prayer.
So Abdullah bin Mas'ud said if you
want to meet Allah as a Muslim let
you take care of these prayers.
When they talk about Muhafaza, means to pray
on time and to pray according to the
Sunnah and to pray with sincerity and to
pray with Khushu.
Four things you need to apply to become
a Muhafaza ala Salawat to pray with Ikhlas,
to pray according to the Sunnah, to pray
with Khushu and to pray on time It
says The time when the prayers are being
called by the Muadhin That's why the best
opinion is the one that says it is
Wajib for a person to attend the prayer
in the Masjid for the brothers Wajib, Wajib
It's not a condition that the prayer will
not be valid unless if you pray in
the Masjid but if you don't pray in
the Masjid you will be sinning.
A blind person was not given permission by
the Prophet What do you think about us?
If the Mujahideen at the battlefield, Allah SWT
imposed on them Salawat al-Jamaa What do
you think about somebody who is praying at
home?
So the time when the prayer is being
called by the Muadhin Because Allah SWT gave
the Prophet SAW the Sunnah of guidance One
of these Sunnah of guidance that guided the
person is the prayer If you are going
to pray at home just like the way
this Mutakhallif, Mutakhallif means the one who doesn't
come to the Masjid he is referring to
the Munafiqeen Yeah, the Munafiqeen they don't come
to the Masjid If you are going to
pray like the Munafiqeen to pray at home,
it says Wallahi you will be staying away
from the Sunnah of your Prophet And if
you stay away from the Sunnah you will
be misguided There will be nobody who will
make Wudu make the Tahara and he perfect
his Tahara And then he goes to the
Masjid among these Masjids Every step you have
Allah SWT will write a reward for you
Every step you write, Allah will write a
reward for you So you live in Mahalla
Zubair, the closest one to the Masjid Right?
Yeah, you come Every single step you have
Allah SWT will write a reward for you
How many reward you will you get?
That's why Rasulullah SAW said If you come
to pray you have to be calm He
said be calm and you come to the
Masjid Don't come to the Masjid while you
are rushing because the Khutah will be writing
for you.
It's not good for you to go in
that kind of stress and weariness And also
you are losing a lot of reward because
if you move so fast you are reducing
the steps You get it?
Not to say that you should walk like
your feet one closer to each other No,
that's an exaggeration But just walk, normal walk
Come into the Masjid Rasulullah SAW said فَمَا
أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُوا فَأَتِمُوا Whatever you got
the Imam doing, just do Not to go
and wait for the Imam to finish something
and then you join him like the way
we see people doing in our Masajid That's
wrong قِلَّةُ أَدْبُ مَا اللَّهِ أَذْرُجَلَ Especially when
the Musallila in the Sujood Everyone is in
Sujood and you are just hanging around there,
you alone in the Masjid You Allah, somebody
should feel shy of Rabbul Alameen Rasulullah SAW
said whenever you come to the Masjid just
do whatever you found the Imam doing And
it's a win-win situation because it will
be counted for you, although the Raka'ah
might not be counted but the angels will
start giving you reward from that moment And
it's a win-win situation If you don't
do that, you are losing a lot And
also you are doing something which is against
the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW So if
you are in Mahalla Ali You get more
than somebody who is coming from Zubair If
you are coming from the last part of
the world, Salahuddin Then you get more The
farther you are, the more reward you get
You get it?
But that doesn't mean that my house is
in Zubair But then I go all the
way to Salahuddin and then come back to
Masjidul Shah No, that is not counted What
will be counted is when you start from
your own place to the Masjid Bani Salimah,
they went to the Prophet SAW They said,
Ya Rasulullah Our houses are a bit far
from you We want to come closer to
the Masjid The Prophet SAW said He said,
stay in the way you are because your
footsteps are being counted for you It is
better for you to remain there To make
that effort, come into the Masjid Subhanallah, in
one good hadith which is a good news
Alhamdulillah, a good news to the people who
are living in places where there is no
electricity Rasulullah SAW said He
said He said, give good news to those
people who are going to the Masjid in
the darkness of the night That means Maghrib,
Isha and Fajr prayer Allah will give them
a complete light on the Day of Judgement
Complete light will be given to them on
the Day of Judgement So Abdullah ibn Mas
'ud says If you walk to the Masjid
every step Allah SWT will write a reward
for you And Allah SWT will elevate you
in ranking Subhanallah A step will give you
reward and Allah SWT will elevate you in
ranking And also your sin will be dropped
down That's why the Musalloon in the Masjid,
don't be surprised they will be going back
to Allah with no sins in their account
That's highly possible Because every prayer they get
this You know the Wudu is removing their
sins Going to the Masjid is removing their
sins After the Salah also they do the
rituals also removing their sins That's how a
Muslim will be able to pass the test
inshallah when he meet Rabbul Alamin Abdullah ibn
Mas'ud said He
says I definitely witnessed a time with Ashab
an-Nabi and nobody is missing the Jama
'ah except a Munafiq whose Nifaq is very
clear You know the Munafiqin they hide themselves
right?
But there are some Munafiqin which everyone knows
that they are Munafiqin Like Abdullah ibn Salul
He is a real Munafiq He doesn't hide
his Nifaq Abdullah ibn Mas'ul said With
each time only this type of Kuffar are
skipping the prayer Because Munafiqin are Kuffar Only
this type of Munafiqin are skipping the prayer
whose Nifaq is very clear He says I
witnessed a time when a person will be
brought by two people He cannot walk by
himself So two people will be holding him
One of them will hold his hand The
other will hold the other hand And they
will bring him to the Masjid He will
refuse to pray at home Although he is
sick and Allah SWT gave him the concession
But he doesn't want to He wants to
be in the Masjid because he knows how
much Allah SWT put in those prayers So
they said I'm going to show you how
the predecessors really understand the statement of Abdullah
ibn Mas'ud And they apply it precisely
The last hadith concerning this matter is the
hadith of Abu Ayyub ibn al-Ansari Where
the Prophet SAW gave him three wasiya Right?
Because we talk about the prayers and this
prayer that Allah SWT wants from you is
the one that the Prophet SAW taught us
How is this prayer supposed to be?
Rasulullah SAW said in this hadith of Abu
Ayyub ibn al-Ansari He says إذا صليت
فصلي صلاة مودع إذا صليت فصلي صلاة مودع
Okay, I lost the page He said إذا
صليت فصلي صلاة مودع When you pray, pray
as if this is the last prayer you
will be praying in this dunya before you
depart back to Rabbul Alamin Please, I want
you to imagine with me, right?
Let's say if an angel comes to you
and tell you فلا Today you will be
leading this prayer the Isha prayer It will
be the last prayer you will be praying
before you meet Allah SWT How do you
think that prayer is going to be?
I mean, no question Right?
How do you think that prayer?
Out of fear and consciousness and focus, he
might make mistakes but he is going to
pray in the best way and do you
know that this is how our prayers are
supposed to be?
Every prayer we pray, it's supposed to be
like this Who is praying like this?
I don't need to say anything here, but
you already know what I'm talking about.
Go to the masajid and see, you know,
subhanAllah, our prayers ايه والله, sometimes you say
اعوذ بالله, ايه والله اعوذ بالله and these
are serious matters.
A person came to the masjid, his name
was Khalad Ibn Rafiq, came to the masjid
and he prayed two rakat and went to
the Prophet and said, السلام عليكم يا رسول
الله The Prophet said وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامُ اِرْجِعُ فَصَلِّئِ
فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تَصَلِّئِ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ اِرْجِعُ فَصَلِّئِ فَإِنَّكَ
لَمْ تَصَلِّئِ He said, go back and pray
because you did not pray, because رسول الله
صلى الله عليه وسلم لا يحب أحد When
you're wrong, you're wrong Rasulullah صلى الله عليه
وسلم tells you, whoever you are You know
he came he was well disciplined with Rasulullah
صلى الله عليه وسلم and gave the salam
to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم in a
very mu'addab way and the Prophet صلى
الله عليه وسلم told him, وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامُ but
go back and pray because you did not
pray He went back and he prayed He
came back to the Prophet صلى الله عليه
وسلم and he told him go back and
pray because you did not three times and
the companions of Rasulullah they saw the man
praying it was a very shocking moment to
them because they can see the man praying
but Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم kept on
telling him اِرْجِئِ فَصَلِّئِ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تَصَلِّئِ Go
back and pray because you did not pray
and the third time or the second time
the man said وَالَّذِي بَعْثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ يا رسول
الله He said, I swore by the one
I swore by the one who sent you
the truth He said لَا أُحْسِنُ غَيْرَ هَذِي
فَعَلِّمْنِي He said I cannot pray better than
this That's the accent of my ability فَعَلِّمْنِي
Rasulullah teach me how to pray The Prophet
صلى الله عليه وسلم told him فَإِنَّكَ اِمِّدْتَ
عَلَى هَذِي الصَّلَةِ مِدْتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْمِلَّةِ If
you were to die praying like this you
would die upon something else but not Islam
You can see how serious is the matter
right What did he miss that month Tumanina
in the prayer Focus, he prayed very fast
very quickly أَقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ Some of the prayers
in our masajid may be worse than this
Yeah That's kind of the prayers that I
call it touch and go You might find
it like that Where is he going I
don't know Especially imam praying like this Wallah
this is zulm, this is oppression حَرَامًا ظُلْم
Because when you are the imam You must
make sure that you pray according to the
sunnah You have to pray with the people
on the sunnah You get it, if I
go so fast I make ruku and then
I stand up Imagine that old man Except
those who are going to gym everyday Maybe
those ones they can just go like that
But a normal person Imagine an old man
You go very quickly By the time he
managed to stand up from the ruku You
are already in the second sujood Yeah These
type of people they are supposed to cut
off their prayer with you and just complete
their prayer alone You get it, it's wrong
It's wrong Anas Malik said I've never seen
a person whose prayer is closer to the
prayer of Rasulallah better than He is referring
to Umar ibn Abdulaziz He prayed really nicely
How did he pray?
He prayed calmly When he makes ruku, he
stands up from the ruku He waits a
bit longer You know In most of our
prayers The pillar between ruku and the sujood
is very short We are talking about a
few seconds The imam always forgot that he
is with the mu'min When he stands up,
for him he already finished But for us,
we are standing up when he is completely
standing Imagine he just finished and then bow
for sujood It is not enough for us
to say and finish at the same time
We are not talking about any other dua
That's wrong This is not the salat of
the Prophet He should say and pay attention
Wait for us for the mu'min and then
make sujood He should go and learn This
is imam, he should go and learn There
are some other ka'ab to be done
in that place Even
the very old man already finished his رَبَّنَا
أَوْلَكَ الْحَمْدُ I don't say to imam to
go very lengthy It is good, it is
sunnah for him to do this But if
he thinks he is going to punish people
Say رَبَّنَا أَوْلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا
فِيه Do this one very calmly It is
enough for the mu'min to stand up and
do their own adhkar So Umar ibn Abdulaziz
was praying like this and also between the
two sujood You know, also many imams actually
when he makes the first sujood going to
the second sujood also is very quick Just
sit down and just move Subhanallah, by the
time you stand up from the sujood because
we are to stand up from the sujood
when the imam is completely seated And by
the way, this is how it is supposed
to be done in our prayer, sometimes we
make these mistakes When am I supposed to
make ruku?
When the imam is completely raking, then I
bow for ruku When the imam is bowing
for ruku, I'm not supposed to bow for
ruku I'm supposed to remain standing Until the
time I see him in the ruku, then
I bow for the ruku No rush in
the prayer Can you say salam before him?
So where are you going?
That's why Umar radiallahu anhu, he saw somebody
praying with the imam, racing with the imam
Umar called him He said, he told him
brother La wahdaka sallait wala di imamika katalait
You neither pray alone nor follow any imam
You're not with the imam and you're not
alone We don't know which category we should
put you Umar was telling him this Because
you're supposed to do after the imam You're
doing together with the imam, he said you're
not praying alone and you're not praying with
the imam, we don't know what is your
prayer The prayer will be batil if a
person is doing racing with the imam The
companion said When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam makes sujood we will not make sujood
until we see his forehead touching the ground
This is the time you can call a
person saajid They remain standing Do we do
that?
I'm telling you, many of us are not
doing that Alhamdulillah, these days I see a
lot of students of knowledge, mashallah They didn't
tell us sunnah And it's sometimes like that
But alhamdulillah Not like before Alhamdulillah, may Allah
s.w.t. grant us ability to always
follow Not to bring our own version So
they said we will not make sujood until
we see the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
putting his forehead on the ground I saw
a person among these guys May Allah guide
him Wallah, he got stuck Because the imam
is going for the sujood His airplane His
flight is faster than the imam He was
next to me I was in my mind
saying So what is the point?
Because the imam is still coming And the
guy already reached almost sujood So he just
stopped like this Because the imam is still
going down So he has to wait for
the imam to reach first and then he
continue from that place What is this?
You punish yourself and you lost the reward
at the same time There is no reward
in this If the prayer is even valid
So please don't rush When you are with
the imam, wait first When the imam does
and then you do after him, you cannot
end your salah before the imam Umar bin
Abdulaziz This is one of the things he
used to do That's why Anas said he
is the best person and the closest prayer
to the death of Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam And I remember in Sahih Bukhari or
Sahih Muslim One of them, Anas bin Malik
was found to be crying And then his
student asked him What happened?
You are sahibun nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
You met the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
You are with the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam You served him for 8 to 10
years You should be the happiest person He
said yes But he said the problem is
I couldn't find I tried to see what
is it that people used to do in
the time of Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
which you guys maintain He said I couldn't
find anything except the salah And he said
the prayer also you started neglecting it That's
why he was crying They used to think
what kind of sin they committed for them
to be punished by Allah swt to live
Because he said also Anas I don't know
what kind of sin I did that Allah
swt is angry with me that he delayed
my death until this time of ours when
people are neglecting the prayer And he fill
in the blank If Anas is to be
in our time That was his time If
he is to come to our time to
see the way we pray This is the
time when you will say that He might
be asking Allah swt to take him back
to the grave rather than being with us
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told
us in that hadith of Abu Ayub He
says when you pray Pray the prayer of
somebody who has been told by the angel
that this is your last prayer Whenever you
pray And then he told him He said
don't you ever do something that you need
to go and apologize Meaning always try to
do things in the right way Don't hurt
others Don't do things in the way you
have to go and tell them I'm sorry
It's a virtue for you to apologize But
Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wants you to
be azizi nafs Somebody who tries to avoid
mistakes and hurting others You will have a
very good life You will never find this
from any psychologist other than Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam or counsellor That's why to be
honest with you my dear brothers and sisters
The best place to find the best counselling
and matters that help you and your brain
and make you a better person Somebody who
lives a good life Aksimu billah Aksimu billah
is the sunnah of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam I'm not belittling anyone No I'm not
saying this But don't you ever leave the
root which is given to you free of
charge by the one who created you and
go and hold the branches Get it?
Nobody knows you more than al-Bariyat al
-Zawjal Right?
And he is the only one that knows
what can fix you And therefore if you're
looking for somebody that can fix you hold
upon that which he gave you Imam Malik
said This ummah will not be fixed except
through using that which fixed the first generation
The latter generation cannot be fixed except if
they use that which was used by the
first generation in every sense, in every dimension
And so when it comes to the leadership
Omar bin Abdulaziz used the method of the
Khulafa of Rashidun to fix everything In two
years, it doesn't take him that long a
time Corruption is just like the way we
see it nowadays or even worse in his
time or before his time But he came
in two years, he managed to cleanse everything
Through what?
Through the use of that which Imam Malik
said The predecessors what they used, used that
one And then just leave it Because it
is the divinely given method for us to
fix ourself and to fix our world Wallah
Nobody can tell you that which is correct
more than Rabbul Alameen That's why you see
when we refuse to take his we take
theories which are said by sometimes top criminals
on earth Go and look for the history
of those guys You wallah Not just in
economics and finance But many of them, go
and look for the history Wallah when we
are reading when I am reading the history
of those guys It's tragedy Some of them
are the most evil and corrupt people in
the society Subhanallah And this is the one
that I take as the role model to
guide me towards how I live a good
life in this dunya Go read the history
and see But nowadays, they are the one
that we are imitating I just want you
to understand How much we have been punished
by Rabbul Alameen When he closed our eyes
We couldn't see that which is better for
us We, you know, take him from our
real enemies That's why we don't move forward
We become what?
A tails off of others Wallah Somebody need
to wake up and think wisely Somebody really
need to wake up and think wisely You
know We have everything They have nothing And
I mean my word We have everything And
they have nothing I promise Whatever these people
are saying You find in Islam Better than
what you get from them And ours came
first Before theirs Get it?
Because Islam started from the time of Adam
alayhis salam Islam started from that time Whatever
you need in every field In this dunya
of ours Wallah that which Rabbul Alameen gives
you Is the only correct one If you
leave it and you go to somewhere else
You might get temporary solution But the place
where you can get prominent solution Is that
which is given to you by Rabbul Bariyya
So I hope inshallah this is a very
good message For us to be proud of
what we have And to open a new
file With Rabbul Alameen He says He says
He says And be in a state of
despair From that which other people have Don't
ask people About what they have And don't
show interest to what other people have You
want to be aziz Don't let people Understand
that you want what they have This is
the advice And number one As I said,
there is a lot to say about Prayer
and its importance And as you heard It
is going to act As a protection for
you in this dunya And also protection for
you in the akhira That's why the prophets
and the messengers Of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala Whenever they are in need They go
back to Rabbul Alameen through the prayer Ibrahim
alayhi salam Prayed to Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala When his wife was taken by that
evil criminal And she also prayed Juraid when
he got into trouble he also prayed These
are the prophets of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala Rasulullah subhanahu wa ta'ala Rasulullah subhanahu
wa ta'ala But also the same thing
They said Yunus alayhi salam also When he
got into trouble in the whale He also
prayed They said They said Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala Is referring to the prayer So
it is your protection in this dunya And
it will also be your protection in the
akhira That is one beautiful Narration in terms
of the Prophets of Allah Subhanahu wa ta
'ala Two of them actually One of them
is weak so I don't want to talk
about that But the authentic one is The
narration where the prophets of Allah Subhanahu wa
ta'ala visited Abu Haytham Abu Haytham The
prophets of Allah After they have been fed
by him He asked him it looks like
you are the only one Who is doing
things in this house Don't you have anyone
to help you He said I don't have
anybody He said if you hear that I
have slaves In the future come I will
give you one to help you in the
house So later on he came to the
prophet of Allah He heard that the prophet
of Allah got some But he came at
the last minute So he said ya Rasulallah
I heard that you got some slaves And
you told me last time If I hear
that you have something I should come to
you So the prophet of Allah Told him
no problem I have two left Take one
of them He said ya Rasulallah Pick one
Choose for me That's good Remember I said
seeking the advice Of the expert is really
good for you Don't do things alone If
there is somebody who was doing before And
has experience you can trust Ask him first
Otherwise you will be like that person Who
is not willing to take this This is
the example they give The person was looking
for support So he met a shepherd at
night He realized that this is a shepherd
With his sheep and everything So he asked
him please can I have some Some support
He said no problem Go choose one of
them He was supposed to since this is
night He cannot see properly He was supposed
to say choose for me But he did
not He went out of greed to choose
for himself So he checked And realized that
this is the one that is so fat
So he took it When the night was
gone And the daylight comes He realized that
he chose the dog So
he said ya Rasulallah He said Rasulallah please
choose for me One of them The Prophet
said Subhanallah He said choose this one because
I saw him Praying last time The basis
of the choice was The prayer.
He said I saw him praying He said
He said and I advise you please be
very kind With him So he took the
sleep back home His wife He met his
wife at home And he told her Alhamdulillah
We got somebody to support us in the
house She said oh what happened And then
he narrated the story to her And he
did not cheat in the narration He said
and the Prophet told me And this is
the advantage of getting A good wife And
a good partner Somebody who will advise you
And that which is better for you Not
somebody who will blame you for doing something
that is right So he told her The
whole story He said And the Prophet said
We should be very kind with him She
said My dear husband To be honest with
you You will not reach the peak of
Acceptance of the advice Of Rasulallah When he
says you should be very kind with him
If you don't free him So he looked
at him and he said And that's it
What frees him?
Prayer Because Rasulallah said Take this one because
I saw him praying to Allah And please
be kind with him What was the basis
of the choice?
Prayer And that's how prayer is saving a
person in this Dunya That is a weak
narration But it's not in the time of
the Prophet During the time of Al-Hajjaj
Ibn Yusuf You know Al-Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf
right?
He commanded Salim The son of Abdullah Ibn
Omar To kill somebody So you know Al
-Hajjaj You cannot question him Because Al-Hajjaj
really respected Abdullah Ibn Omar So Abdullah Ibn
Omar came with his son So Al-Hajjaj
told Salim Take this person and go and
kill him It was very difficult With Salim
So on the way he asked the person
He said what did you do?
He said nothing He said did you pray
Fajr?
He said yes He went back to Al
-Hajjaj Al-Hajjaj asked him What happened between
you and the man?
Did you kill him?
He said no He said why?
He said how can you expect me to
kill somebody Who is under the protection of
Rabbul Alameen Because Rasulallah said He let him
go When they go out Abdullah Ibn Omar
the father He says Salim This is the
reason why I call you Salim He said
this is the reason why I call you
Salim So that you will be doing things
in the right way Whether the story is
authentic or not But the content is true
Looking at the other Nasoos Of the Hadith
of the Prophet So I believe if we
stop here This is more than enough Inshallah
for all of us to understand That the
most valuable thing you have in your life
This dunya Of ours After the Tawheed is
a prayer And my dear brothers and sisters
The closest time for you to get what
you need From Rabbul Alameen is to pray
I'm talking about Personal experience Myself and many
others in our predecessors People who got That
which they want from Allah Instantly after praying
to Rabbul Alameen We are also slaves of
Allah Rasulallah said the closest moment You are
to Rabbul Alameen Is when you pray to
Allah I believe we have been suffering Looking
for the solution to all of these Predicaments
of the life And the Difficulties and Hardship
The best way for you to get the
solution For all of these is to go
back to Rabbul Alameen And the best way
to approach Allah Is to pray to Him
And the best way to ask Him when
you are approaching Him Is to ask Him
when you are in the sujood Don't worry
Just ask Rabbul Alameen He is Rabbul Alameen
He said He wants you to ask Just
feel free to ask for everything Whatever is
bothering you in your life Just tell Rabbul
Alameen He hears, He knows He is just
waiting for you to tell Him I want
And by the will of Allah You will
see the solution And don't worry no matter
how much tough is life Just go back
to Rabbul Alameen In the prayer and wait
for the solution By the will of Allah
You will never be disappointed Allah doesn't disappoint
His people So all that you have to
do is to learn How to pray correctly
and do it correctly And wait for the
result You get the full protection In this
dunya and whatever you need Allah SWT will
grant you that one I wish the time
will permit To demonstrate how the Prophet SAW
Used to pray but I will just shed
light And then sujood and then we stop
I see somebody is showing me the mic
For the questions, no problem don't worry I
will do the questions for you So Rasulullah
SAW Told Khalad Ibn Rafi' He says He
says When you stand up to pray Make
wudu just like the way Allah SWT commanded
you to do Allah commanded us to pray
I'm sorry to make wudu in suratul maida
Right?
How are we supposed to pray?
You start with washing the hand Okay?
Survivors they don't have No standing thing Wherever
you go they have Where is Hamad?
He should hold actually I don't know I
will just use it by myself You know
you wash the hand The hand from the
tip of the finger until here It's wajib
to do that Especially when you wake up
from From the sleep, the night sleep And
also although the scholar said it's mustahab If
you're not waking up from sleep But Rasulullah
SAW Never make wudu without washing the hand
Why would you stay away from them Just
because the majority says it's mustahab Do you
get the idea?
So you wash your hand up to the
wrist Wash the hand three times This one,
these two of them three times Not this
one three, this one three No both of
them three times And then you take water
As Ibn Qayyim says there is no mention
From the sunnah of the Prophet SAW He
took water twice for the nose and the
mouth He take one water with the hand
For both the mouth and the nose He
put some in his mouth And some in
the nose one time And then Goggled the
water from the mouth And then throw it
away Rinse the mouth and the nose If
you do that three times So take one
for both Mouth and the nose Again like
that, three times And then you are done
with the mouth and the nose And then
you take the water also with your hand
Or one hand, whatever you want to do
And then wash your face From this place
until this place And also from the ears
This ear until here So you wash everything
Including the beard If you have one They
said The Prophet SAW used to take water
With his hand and hit his beard with
it And he used to put his fingers
Also inside and rub his beard That's the
wudu of the Prophet SAW So he does
that Wash his face, how many times?
Three times, and then he wash his hand
Starting from here Not from here If you
start from here, your wudu is batil You
have to start from here This is the
one that Allah SWT mentioned in the Quran
Start from here Until the elbow And when
you wash The hand, also the elbow You
are not supposed to Just stop at this
Allah SWT says This is the elbow If
you go with the You stop here You
don't include the elbow And also this part
of the arm Also is not going to
be included That's why they have the differences
of opinion among the scholars But Alhamdulillah the
Sunnah tells us what to do Rasulullah SAW
Was once spotted He was washing his hand
He comes to this place and he put
his hand like this Not hitting the way
I hit, but he just put it Like
this, so he covers the elbow The middle,
the joint And this part also already And
also some part of the arm And then
he rubbed them like this He goes like
that Right, so case closed So this is
how you should do And you also rub
between the fingers also From here until here
three times And the other one also three
times And then after that you go to
the head The head you started from the
beginning of the hair The place where usually
the hair comes out Otherwise our brothers who
are having bold hair Started from here They
don't start from here Right, they start from
here Even if they don't have hair Because
Rabbul Alameen did not say Wamsahu bi shu
'urikum He said what?
Ru'uzikum, right, the head So you start
from this part, you put your hand like
this And both hands I know some madahib
said You can just go like this and
it's enough As long as you touch seven
pieces of hair There are some big madahib
also That says that We respect that Opinion
but the sunnah of the Prophet s.a
.w. says otherwise Right, that's why the one
that you should follow is What the Prophet
s.a.w. used to do Put your
hand like this And go all the way
down until the end of the hair Right,
and then you come back They said the
Prophet s.a.w. he started with The
beginning of the forehead And then go behind
Until the Qafah, this part The back part
of the hair And then he comes And
then he comes back So start like this
And then go all the way back To
the place where he started So for the
sisters Are they supposed to If she has
one kilometer of the hair Anyway, I'm just
kidding Is she supposed to keep on dragging
it Like this to make sure that she
touches everything Or ask her younger sister also
to go and Wipe everything for her and
come back No, we don't do that They
said she just go until the end of
the root of the hair And then she
comes back, that's it Or she just put
her hand on top from that place And
then come back, no need to Rub every
single part of the hair Because that might
be impossible, right If you say every single
hair in your hair Has to get water,
that might be impossible Is that clear?
So Allah s.w.t says So you
go like this and then you come back
Right, you just make your hand wet Not
to wash the hair We rub the hair,
right When you come back here, you're not
supposed to leave the hair You're supposed to
go straight forward to the ears You don't
take new water for the ears Are you
with me?
Yeah, you don't take new water for the
ears The hadith in Sahih Muslim that says
You take new water for the ears is
shadh So it's inauthentic The one that says
Rasulullah s.a.w. did not make Did
not renew his water on the hand When
he was wiping the ears Is the only
correct one And also he said Allah says
Wipe your hair And the Prophet s.a
.w. said The two ears are also part
of the head He said The ears are
part of the head, what does that mean?
When you go like this, you come back
You just go straight forward to your ears
Yeah, rub everything In and out, right The
scholar said this one should go in and
do the job from inside And this one
from outside, and that's it Yeah, you are
done And then you go straight forward to
the feet To the feet, to the ankles
You include them also in the wash And
you rub between the toes Usually the Prophet
s.a.w. used this finger Even if
you don't use this finger It's okay The
point is to rub between the toes But
if you use this finger, it's fine And
for the Ibn Qudama says for the right
foot You start with the small toe I'm
sorry For the right foot, you start with
Where's your right?
Ah, the small toe This one You come
like this When you're rubbing between them And
for the left one, you start with the
With the big one, the thumb You go
like this But either way you do it,
as long as you Rub between the fingers,
this is the wudu Of the Prophet s
.a.w. And then you say If you
say this, the first one You just say
the first one, Rasulallah s.a.w. said
The doors of Jannah, the eight doors Of
Jannah will be open for you to choose
which one You want to go in, subhanallah
How many times we make wudu, you forgot
this Anyway, it's okay, with Rabbul Alameen The
point is to make tawbah and Start doing
it from the time you know about it
Allah, this deen is very interesting The moment
you know about something, Allah wants to see
you Being serious about it Forget about the
past, just build A new relationship with Allah
s.w.t Okay, after this, then you
go to the masjid Right, which prayer We're
going to pray now Zuhur, let's say zuhur,
right We're going to pray zuhur, when you
go to the masjid What was it in
your heart?
Zuhur, right, so that's the intention Allah s
.w.t. wants you to have, you just
go Whatever you find the imam doing, and
we already Learned how to go to the
masjid, right, calmly Except when it comes to
the Takbeerat al-Ihram, takbeerat al-Ihram I
wish the time permits to quote for you
Some amazing things of the scholars You know,
subhanallah, how they rush To the masajid to
apply The hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
in the way he said it One of
them, for the past 40 years 40 years,
did not miss Takbeerat al-Ihram One of
them, 25 years, never Heard the adhan when
he was out of the Masjid These are
the Salaf as-Saleh One of them He
was His business is to go to the
forest and cut Wood and sell them, subhanallah
They said, whenever he raised up the Axe
to hit the wood If the mu'addin
start making the adhan He will never complete
He will put it down and say the
time for Rabb-ul-Alamin has arrived These
are the Salaf as-Saleh in terms of
following This advice of the Professor Abdullah ibn
Mas'ud.
Ibn Taymiyyah said To catch up takbeerat al
-Ihram If you move a bit faster The
companions of the professor Found also to do
this, that means A person can do it,
to catch up Takbeerat al-Ihram And also
the same goes to When you are going
to miss everything Last rakah, you need a
bit faster Not run it A bit faster
to catch up the last rakah That could
be Understood So you went to the Masjid,
what is your Intention?
Zuhur prayer Where is the intention?
In the heart Is that clear?
That's why you just go to the Masjid,
Allahu Akbar Your heart just saying to Itself
that I am praying Zuhur That's it, actually
you don't need to Read it in the
heart, you just Must make sure that you
know the prayer you are doing And that's
it, the case Closed inshallah, and then you
go And do the takbeerat al-Ihram The
professor, I skip Iqama and Adhan, I think
everyone knows Oh we need to do iqama
and Adhan also?
No, no need Alhamdulillah, ta'ba So we
go to the Masjid and then We start
with takbeerat al-Ihram Takbeerat al-Ihram, how
do you make it?
Allahu Akbar No seriously You see that some
people Just Allahu Akbar And how do you
do it?
The gangster one, Allahu Akbar Yeah I'm just
telling you What I see people doing Just
come to the Masjid, just like that No
that's That's not the takbeerat al-Nabi Sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam The professor said he raised
up his hand At the level of his,
you know, first He puts the fingers together
Right, and he faces the Qibla with them
At the level of his chest or a
bit Up to the level of the ears
Like that, facing the Qibla Right, and then
he brings them down Like this Like an
arrogant person, no Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
put them on On the chest, you have
so many types Of putting, some put on
the Stomach I don't want to make fun
but some put below The navel, some put
Next to the heart Like this, yeah Some
people are very righteous Close to the navel
I'm just telling you people that I witness
With myself But Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
said chest Right, where's your chest?
This area, right Yeah, whatever is easier for
you, you put on your chest And that's
it, left on the right On the right
hand, right When you put here and then
you do the du'a Al-Siftah, right,
any of the du'a Al-Siftah, choose
one of them and just do It's good,
inshallah And then after that, you say Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
And then you read Surah Al-Fatiha Right,
the best is to read Silently these two
ayat But if you read louder, also it's
okay Because Abu Huraira also read louder And
he says I just want you to understand
that This is the sunnah of Rasulallah sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam That Bismillah and A'udhu
Billah to be read In the salah, right
So you do Bismillah, A'udhu Billah And
then you start reading Surah Al-Fatiha Surah
Al-Fatiha has to be read Correctly Alhamdulillahi
Rabbil Alameen Ar-Rahmanir Raheem Maliki Yawmid Deen
Iyyaka Naabudu Iyyaka Don't say Iyyaka Many imams
they say Iyyaka Iyyaka Without Shadda You know
what does that mean?
Iyyaka Naabudu We are worshipping the sun Because
Iyyaka is one of the names of the
sun Iyyaka Naabudu We worship the sun, A
'udhu Billah So you have to make the
Shadda I read
it like this Not with any voice
So that you just know that The most
important thing is the Makharij Al-Huroof Choose
any voice you want Your voice, the voice
of Khalil Hussary And whoever you want to
choose Choose It's okay, as long as he
is reading correctly Our problem is we always
go with the voice We forgot the Tajweed
There are many of the reciters They mess
up the recitation of the Quran But people
are using them No, as a student of
knowledge You should use those ones Who are
known to be experts in the field Of
the Tajweed Whatever voice you want to choose
is up to you But the Makharij must
be pronounced correctly Otherwise your prayer will not
be completed Rasulullah s.a.w. said If
Fatiha is not being completed Your prayer will
not be completed Exactly inshallah After this then
you recite a surah After the surah then
you go for Ruku Your Ruku They said
the Ruku of the Prophet s.a.w.
You have to be straight Who wants to
Demonstrate for us Try Can you No,
no, no You can stay in the way
you are, just make your hand straight This
one Can we have somebody Whose back is,
no don't force yourself Your back is like
that, it's okay Just put your hand Straight
They said what you are supposed to do
Is just to make sure that your hands
are placed straight Don't bend them Do it
again You see straight Then it's okay Because
not everyone's back is straight Some people you
have to bring a hammer And level them
So it's okay as long as his hand
is straight You get it His hand is
straight and the leg also straight And he
put his hand On the knees, it's okay
That's a Ruku Do we have a Mazin,
maybe you should try Do we have any
other Mazin here Okay, there's only one Ah,
that one is a bit Make it straight
That one is a bit better Than mine
and yours So they said Rasul s.a
.w. Who asked you to stand up They
said Rasul s.a.w. Makes Ruku In
the way, if you had to put something
On his back, it would not fall down
But that Rasul s.a.w. Just stay
in the way you are You see he
put his hand on the On the knees,
right And also if you look at Mazin
He's separate between the fingers That's how Rasul
s.a.w. used to do Put his
hand on the knees and also separate Between
the fingers, he opens them And you see
Mazin Is looking down, right down No need
to look at the place of the Sujud
Just look down, just be a normal person
Your head is down And also the level
of your head Don't raise it so up,
can I push you Don't raise it so
up and don't raise it so down Be
flexible Don't raise it so down also Rasul
s.a.w. they said He usually keep
it at the same level Right Just be
a normal person Don't do Tekalluf Sometimes some
people they put their hand on On the
shin To make sure that they have the
Ruku properly, no this is not how Rasul
s.a.w. Used to do it I
think this one is dead Just punishing yourself
So do you get how to make it
right So the feet should be facing The
Qibla, right Oh this one is alive, Alhamdulillah
So the feet should be facing The Qibla,
so you stand And also the standing, you
shouldn't Open your legs so much You see
sometimes especially When we pray the Jama'at,
some people They open so much, the problem
of this Is when you finish the first
Raka'at You cannot maintain the same thing
You have to come back to the normal
standing And then you keep space here and
space there also That's why you have to
just Leave a normal standing That's it Shoulder
to shoulder, foot to foot So after the
Ruku Then you stand up from the Ruku
Mazen can you try What about the legs
Do they have to be straight Some people
bend it to the front No you don't,
that's why I said Do it again Mazen
The same way you see, straight They have
to be like that Somebody cannot do that
No, if A person cannot do because of
health He goes according to his ability You
cannot force him to punish Himself in the
prayer, Allah SWT Did not impose this upon
him That's why even the whole prayers if
I cannot stand up I pray seated, when
I sit down And pray for sure there
is no Ruku in that way There is
no Sujud in that way unless if I
can Make Sujud, the one who cannot do
all Of these can just pray while lying
down With just thinking And just using his
mouth But in the normal circumstances This is
the way it should be done And then
now after this Mazen stand up Wrong, go
back Say the thing We are supposed to
be saying No forget about that one Just
stand up Just like that Which prayer is
that This is how you pray In Put
your hands He lost again I want to
see the way you say Did you hear
him No, I am praying alone He is
very smart He is a Smart criminal But
just assume we are the Right So just
say And up You see when he is
coming up He started saying And up That's
why they said when you are standing up
from the Ruku You say By the time
you are completely standing You are done with
that Then you should say After you completely
stand This is how it should be Distributed
Something that I forgot Which is good One
of you also brought it When you are
Going for the Ruku You raise up your
hand And say And then go to the
Ruku You can raise up the hand together
with the Takbir You can say the Takbir
and then raise up your hand You can
raise up your hand First and then say
the Takbir Three ways are Ok according to
our scholars And the Sunnah of the Prophet
And then you go for the Ruku In
the Ruku you say We already know that
one And any other Dua narrated by the
Prophet Yes Abdullah Like
what I said This one is correct I
give you A plus for this The only
thing you missed is Just say Ok Put
them together No put them together Put them
together But now slowly slowly Don't go faster
If you go faster I also will be
wrong like you If I am to do
it in the same way Excellent Excellent Now
you graduate with a professional certificate In Salah
But let me hear the rest first After
After you say The
first two For the one who is praying
As Imam He has to say both of
them Must say both of them This is
Wajib And the one who is praying alone
also must say both of them Is Wajib
upon him And the one who is praying
behind Imam He waits for the Imam to
say But the Wajib upon him is Say
Only Even if he doesn't say It's fine
This one is Sunnah If you say it
you get More reward Which one is better?
Get more reward or less reward May Allah
grant you good Abdullah So after this Then
we are now Standing right Now standing then
we are going for Sujood right There are
two ways of going down to Sujood Either
you go with your knees Or you go
with the hands You still want to demonstrate
Abdullah move a bit here Give him space
How do you go for Sujood?
Do you need We said when you are
going for Ruku You raise up your hand
right When you are coming up from the
Ruku also you raise up your hand When
you are going for Sujood Are you supposed
to raise up your hand?
No There are some scholars who said You
raise up your hand whenever you are coming
up or Going down He mentioned that There
are only these places where the Prophet Used
to raise up his hand It is a
very authentic narration He says when he does
Takbir And when he is going for the
Ruku When he is coming up from the
Ruku And when he is coming up from
the second Ruku He raises up his hand
Other than that he said I never saw
the Prophet raise up his hand And you
know Abdullah Ibn Omar is One of the
closest people In terms of being attached to
Following the Prophet and everything he does That
is what makes His narration stronger And also
in terms of Authenticity it is way stronger
than The other narration that says But some
scholars Said this is something that Happens to
the Rawi He was supposed to say So
now when he is going for the Sujood
But if somebody does that it is fine
Because there are great scholars using that narration
Who says it is okay But majority of
the scholars said we have only these four
places And then go to Sujood So he
goes with the hand right Mazin which prayer
are you doing?
I think all of your prayers are Batil
now 20,000 prayers to be repeated Okay
Mazin Say Allahu Akbar We forgive So he
started with the Hand right Can you go
with the knees?
The second type he is going with This
one is also hand Because he is familiar
with the hands It is very difficult for
him to go with the knees Put your
hands like this When you are going down
Put your hands here So which one is
correct?
Hand or knees?
Knees Okay no problem This is actually the
reflection Of the Ikhtilaf al-Fuqaha Fuqaha also
disagree The same way they disagree You also
disagree So which one is Majority of the
scholars here Says hands Minority like Abdullah They
said knees Each one of them has Something
to support their views With it However the
Hadith of Abu Hurairah said Rasulullah s.a
.w. said When you make Sujood You are
not supposed to Make Sujood Like the way
the camel Is making Ruku They said why
camel is being used Why not goat?
Why not cow?
Why camel only?
Because they said according to the culture and
the custom Even the language Camel is the
only animal that The knees are Placed on
the hand on the front leg The knees
are in the front Front leg When the
camel bow down He is putting which leg
First to the ground?
The front one And where is the knees
of the camel?
The front leg So when the camel put
the front leg He is putting the knees
first Right?
The knees of the camel If I come
and I put The knees first before the
hand I am imitating camel You get it?
Because the knees goes down to the earth
With the, I am sorry The camel goes
down with the The knees If I make
Sujood with the knees I am imitating a
camel That's why Abu Hurairah said Which is
the part of the Hadith according to some
scholars He says He should put his hand
Before his knees He said he should put
his hand Before the knees This is the
Madhab of the Muhaddithin and many of the
Fuqaha Most of them says the hand first
And then the knees However some of the
scholars They said no The knees first And
they said that Narration of Abu Hurairah He
should put the hand before the knees They
said this is not from Rasulullah It is
from Abu Hurairah But then the majority of
the scholars Or the scholars who are taking
The statement of Abu Hurairah They said The
one who narrates Something he knows better than
anybody else About what did he mean by
that narration So even if it is not
From Rasulullah Abu Hurairah knows what the Prophet
Meant The best opinion with no doubt Is
the one that says hand first before the
knees You get it?
Hand first before the knees However Since the
issue is controversial And both of them have
companions To support their views If a person
follows the other one Also you don't tell
him you are doing the wrong thing But
the best is to put the hands Before
the knees And it is much easier actually
For the knees In the places where they
put the knees first When you come to
the Masjid During the Sujood Everyone is hitting
the You get it?
So to put the hands first Is more
merciful to the knees And if you keep
hitting You might face problems in the future
So when you put the hands first You
will be able to put your knees down
Very calmly and very slowly As I said
this is the opinion of Most of the
Muhaddithin That the hands Come first before the
knees So let me just complete And I
know everyone has a lot of questions Then
we can go to the questions later on
So after this Then we do the Sujood
right?
Is it ok to demonstrate the Sujood?
That's the last one inshallah For the Sujood
I think you have to move behind a
bit You see Move a bit A bit
more No no no That one you go
back No back a bit A bit Aha
That position should be the position Of your
knees When I say move just your head
should move forward Like that If you can
move your head a bit more You see
they said The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
Closed his fingers And he opened them Open
a bit Open his hand In the way
a small animal Can pass here Don't worry
I'm not going to kill you Can pass
here, a small animal can pass here And
his hand you see He put them like
this They said the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam used to close the fingers And put
them like this In the Ruku he opens
In the Sujood he closes the fingers And
face the Qibla with them So he does
Like this right And this one is open
And he separates between his His body and
the arm The armpit is being open And
they said his thigh You see they are
straight That's how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam used to do And the feet Like
that You see he put them to the
ground and fixed them on the floor The
toes are facing Facing the Qibla This is
how they describe the Sujood of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam This is how they
describe the Sujood of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam Not the Sujood that you compress
yourself That's why having the Sufuf in the
Masjid Closer to each other is wrong You
must give space for the people To be
able to make correct Sujood Right the only
one that you cannot be Practicing correctly is
when you are in the Jamaa To open
your hand Otherwise you are going to kick
the people And stop them from making their
own Sujood Is that clear?
And we know what to say in the
Sujood And then we sit down between the
two Sujood right What type of sitting?
The normal one I want to see you
No no Show them Face here Sit the
Iftarash Not this one This one But this
one you should put your leg Like that
That's the way they said the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam Sitting between the two Sujood
And this is also the sitting in the
First Tashahud Right The sitting in the second
Tashahud Do that one The sitting in the
second Tashahud is like this A Tawarruk we
call it Tawarruk And this is supposed to
be done In the second Tashahud Are we
together?
I know you are tired but I am
almost done also The second Sujood The second
Sujood this one Tawarruk Should be practiced when
the prayer has Two Tashahud When the prayer
has only one Tashahud Tawarruk is that sitting
that you do Between the two Sujood And
the first Sujood this is what it should
be maintained So that Tawarruk Is supposed to
be done when the prayer has Two Tashahud
That means in Fajr prayer we don't have
Tawarruk In Sunnah prayers The two Rakat we
don't have Tawarruk But in Maghrib do we
have Tawarruk?
Yes Zuhur?
Yes Tawarruk Asr, Isha also Tawarruk So this
is how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
Used to do these things And then the
last one when you are sitting for the
Tashahud How do you put your hand?
You have to face me They said the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Used to put
his hand like this Both of them Both
of them on his thigh Put them like
this And then he fold the right hand
Fold it Get it?
He fold it Either sometimes they said he
make Some Halaqah like this Or like this
Or sometimes like this And he face the
Qibla So you see this one is being
placed like this You know And the other
one he also And then he fold So
you see contrary to some cultures They twist
the hand like this Harun can tell that
Twist the hand like this And whether you
Sheikh or you don't Sheikh Also controversy Amongst
the scholars But the best is to point
From the beginning of the Tashahud Until the
end and shake a bit Then go Or
shoot Very little And when you are Doing
the Tashahud like this You don't look at
the place of the Sujood You look at
your finger Until the end of the Tashahud
You look at your finger Until the end
of the Tashahud So this is the Tashahud
al-awal And the Tashahud al-akhir You
finish the Tashahud And the Tashahud al-awal
You do the Tashahud And the Salat al
-Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam According to the
best opinion The opinion of the Shafi'i
scholars and this is the best opinion The
Salat al-Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam Is
supposed to be done in all the Tashahud
The first and the second one And in
the second Tashahud You do the Salat al
-Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam And ask Allah
to protect you from Jahannam and Adhab al
-Qabr That Dua and then make your own
Dua As much as you wish And then
you say Assalamu Alaikum How to say Assalam?
What turns in you Is your head Not
your body You get it?
Some people think that since it is mentioned
that the Prophet They can see You know
when he is making Tashahud They can see
that The cheek of the Prophet That means
He is turning with his body No The
Prophet will go like this If I do
like this people behind can they see?
Yes they can see There is no Ishqal
Some of the Imams when I see them
When they go it is like they are
going to turn So if you have a
Juha He will tell you what did I
do If he doesn't run away from you
So you do like that You say Assalamu
Alaikum Assalamu Alaikum Assalamu Alaikum And also here
Assalamu Alaikum There are different versions of the
Salam of the Prophet Either one that you
do as long as it is Attributed to
Rasulullah Is correct After that then you go
for those Adaiyya and the Tasbeeh The Prophet
said This is how we are told Rasulullah
Used to pray and he said Sallu kama
ra'itumuni wa salli This is just in
brief For somebody who wants details The books
of the Fuqaha Sheikh Nasir has a book
You know a couple of scholars Tried to
simplify the way the Prophet Is praying for
all of us So that the Muslim will
make sure that he is doing The right
thing So my advice before I go to
the question I will start with you Abdullah
Please You have heard what we are able
to Share with each other in this moment
Please try Apply Everything in your life Try
apply Don't forget we are on a journey
to Rabbul Alameen There is no Success that
is better than you Going to Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala with a prayer That is
100% perfect Or if it is deficient
But the deficiency is Just in Khushu and
some Other matters but not in the The
keys in the prayers You preserve it according
to the Sunnah of the Prophet so that
you can have your Sunnah prayers Fixed in
it The real success is to have this
good life In this dunya, pleasant life in
the dunya And also to meet Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala And Allah will make you
Happy because of your prayer So let's try
collectively And make use of this Moment, we
have been doing this For almost 2 or
3 hours Please don't let them be wasted
This is part of your life Make sure
that from now onward when you pray You
view all of these Information that we share
with each other And make sure that your
prayer Inshallah is a prayer that you will
be proud Of it when you meet Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala I
start with you Abdullah, I promise you Is
it true that when you Move your finger
It hits shaytan, right?
Is that true?
It is mentioned that It is stronger Against
shaytan Than hitting him with Sword or anything
I can't remember the Authenticity of that Abdullah
But for sure When you do like this
Abdullah You shake your hand And you look
at it because when you are making The
shahood, you are doing like this Right?
And you are watching your finger If your
finger is shaking It is reminding you that
you are In the prayer and therefore And
therefore you should be calm You are in
front of Rabbul Alameen You should pray calmly,
no moving No Doing anything that would distract
you You get it in the prayer You
get it in the prayer from the beginning
Until the end you are supposed to be
like that That's why when I say Allahu
Akbar In the prayer, I put my hand
here My eyes are supposed to be there
Because I am praying in front of Allah
It is a good, imagine You have your
younger brother And you are telling him Something
that is very important And that younger brother
Is looking at like this How do you
feel?
Annoyed You feel annoyed, right?
That he is not even paying attention to
you He is not even respecting you, right?
If you are in the harsh community You
might smack him Focus here, I am talking
to you, right?
I am not talking to you Abdullah You
are going to tell that younger brother of
yours Focus here because I am talking to
you But now Abdullah A person is in
front of Rabbul Alameen How is he supposed
to behave?
Very calmly, right?
Right Abdullah, right?
So that's how we are supposed to pray
So when I say Allahu Akbar I put
my hand on my chest And I look
at the place of the sujood I focus
in my prayer Because Rabbul Alameen is watching
What I am doing So when I go
to Tashahud I sit down, I put my
hand here I watch over the finger The
finger is moving like this It is indicating
and telling me That Ibrahim you are still
in praying Abdullah you are still praying Right?
Do you think Shaytan will be happy with
this?
No, because it is reminding you To be
having khushu in the prayer Then Shaytan will
hate it so much That's why it is
important to put your hand like this And
shake it Because it reminds you that you
are still in In the prayer, you get
it Abdullah?
Next question Jazakallah Khair Ameen Abdullah And you
too Jazakallah Khair
Ameen Shaykh the first question is If I
know someone who doesn't pray How can I
advise them to start praying?
And is it advisable to tell them To
try to pray at least One prayer per
day?
No, what is advisable is to tell him
To pray to Allah SWT The way Allah
commanded him So you should bring him And
sit down with him Please we are almost
done, let's focus You should bring him and
sit down with him You know, be very
calm Don't be so attitude and so angry
with him Talk to him in a nice
way Address his heart And remind him about
these Nusus from Rasulallah In the Quran And
how much dangerous is the situation Of somebody
who doesn't pray to Allah SWT Bring facts
and history stories And share with him Insha
'Allah he will listen But don't tell him
pray some prayers Tell him what Rabbul Alamin
said It is better for you It is
not good for you to die Going back
to Allah SWT in this way Which one?
I don't know that one I don't know
Because Allah SWT commanded Rasulallah To pray five
times And he commanded everyone to pray five
times Why would I tell somebody Just start
with two And then three prayers That's against
the Sunnah of Muhammad Next question Which
one comes first?
How do you go with the nose?
That's punishment actually Usually the forehead comes first
together with the nose Or just put them
all together You get it A person should
put them all together at once It doesn't
matter The point is when you are in
the sujood These two things must be making
sujood Good question actually How many parts of
you are supposed to be in sujood?
Seven The two hands The forehead together with
this That's three right The knees That's five
right And then the toes right That's seven
The Prophet SAW Do you get it right?
So the point is to have your forehead
and the nose On the ground Which one?
Washing the face You can wash the face
one time If you are sure that you
can cover everything Rasulullah SAW used to take
water And hit the beard and also Put
his hand to rub the beard Three times
Twice Because in Islam you can wash everything
once You can also wash everything twice You
can also do three times The same goes
to the beard For the women When they
are cleaning their hair If they have a
ponytail Or they have tied their hair Must
they open it up and do it?
No, she doesn't need to open the braid
Unless if she put Fake hair No Those
plastic things they use sometimes To tie their
hair with some Rubber band No not the
rubber band You can just wipe on top
of it You know some of the braiding
thing To make it curly They put some
thread But it's plastic They tie, tie, tie
They close the hair completely If you are
touching those plastics Not normal thread That one
should be removed For her to be able
to wipe on top of her The same
goes to the nail polish When she put
the thick one She has to remove it
and make a new one That's why she
can put it during the time When she
doesn't pray But other than that she shouldn't
How about henna?
Henna is ok because henna doesn't change It
just changes the colour of the place But
it doesn't add any layer Of the skin
It doesn't cover the skin That one is
fine And if Someone goes through a mouth
surgery And they can't put water in their
mouth How would they do the If they
go through a mouth surgery And they can't
gargle the water in their mouth How would
they do this?
They can wipe with their hands Just wipe
the lips?
No, inside If they can wipe No problem
If they cannot do The scholar said he
does Taimum for what's left He washes whatever
he can wash And then does Taimum for
the rest Whatever could not be addressed He
does whatever he can wash The thing that
he cannot wash Then he does Taimum for
it There is an opinion that says You
just go for Taimum Straightforward because Allah did
not write Two types of Tahara upon one
person But the majority of the scholars said
He used the water for whatever Water could
be used for And then do Taimum to
address what was not addressed Like the mouth
He did not wash his mouth And Wudu
has to wash the mouth So he does
Taimum That Taimum will address that mouth only
Ok, Alhamdulillah, finish Sheikh If you are working
in the morning Until your time And you
don't have time to go to the Masjid
Is it sufficient to pray You don't have
time to go to Masjid It's working hours
Which work is that you don't have time
To go to the Masjid I think maybe
there is a time But you are not
allowed to leave the area So is it
sufficient You can pray on time I will
advise a person who cannot pray In Jama
'at Throughout his life I will advise him
to look for another job That can allow
him to go to the Masjid You get
it But at the same time also he
has to pray on time He prays in
his own territory But on time Is it
sufficient to pray with my students together in
the classroom If you have the Surah Like
in our universities Even in Medina here also
Every Quliyah in Medina has its own Masjid
There is a main Masjid In the Jamia
They pray right after The Adhan They pray
but we don't pray at that time Our
classes Ended by 1 or 2 I forgot
Then we go and pray at that time
in the Masjid of the Quliyah All the
students Here also you have the same thing
In all the mahalas I think there is
a Masjid As long as there is a
prayer So from your room just come down
to pray Because there is no good in
life That a person doesn't go to the
Masjid One of the evil consequences of Corona
Is to detach people from the Masjid It
really kept A negative impact in our life
For my school Because students are from different
religions So we do pray in the classroom
sometimes In Jamia In the schools no problem
What do you do?
You cannot leave the kids in there So
we have our own Masjid Even in Jumaa
we pray in the schools If the government
allows that, that's fine Because we cannot take
the students To the Masjid That can act
as an excuse So you can pray in
the school In the school We used to
pray We are next to UI We have
our own Jumaa Because you cannot bring 200
students And then some of them are missing
That can be Like an excuse Assalamualaikum So
I have two questions That I've been confused
about Let's say that you overslept Or you
were travelling And you missed the Asr prayer
And it's already Maghrib Some people say that
even if you pray Asr It doesn't count
Because the Malaikah already That you prayed So
do you still pray it or you just
leave it?
It depends If it is for instance I
tell him Muhammad this is Asr time He
said no I don't want to pray now
When are you going to pray?
He said I will pray after Maghrib That
prayer will not be accepted He is just
wasting his time You get it?
But he overslept Or he forgot to pray
Asr Is it possible to forget?
No it is That's why Rasulallah said If
somebody forgets to pray That means it is
possible to forget He really forgot to pray
Until Maghrib time then he remembers This one
he has to pray Right after he remembers
Right after he wakes up So there are
two different people here The one who knows
that this is the time to pray But
he refused to pray Until after the time
that he wants to pray That prayer is
bartered Even if he prays he is wasting
his time You get it?
As for the person who forgot Or overslept
Then he just pray Right after he wakes
up Or he remembers My second question is
Let's say that you are traveling again And
you didn't pray Maghrib and Isha You did
not pray Maghrib and Isha Ah traveling And
it was like 10 o'clock Do you
start with Maghrib or Isha?
You start with Maghrib always That's the best
opinion Of the vast majority of the scholars
You start with Maghrib always And a Musafir
He has a right to combine between Maghrib
and Isha He can intentionally delay Maghrib Until
Isha time Whether he prays Maghrib first and
then Isha There are some scholars who say
you start with the prayer That at times
is already there The current prayer The best
opinion is the majority's view It says you
should start with The one that comes first
Maghrib and then Isha If you enter a
Masjid People are praying Isha And you do
not pray Maghrib You pray Maghrib with them
With the intention of Maghrib Not Isha You
can join them But then the question is
When do you stop your prayer Because they
are praying four And you are praying three
You get it?
So when the Imam reaches the third rakah
They are going to stand up You have
two options Either to sit down and wait
For them to reach you in the Rukuh
After they finish the third rakah Or you
quickly finish the prayer Sit down, make the
shahur quickly finished And then say the salam
And then join them in the last rakah
To get the first rakah for Isha This
one is better than Waiting for them My
next question is Is it blameworthy to pray
Salah at the end of its time With
no good reason?
Yes, some scholars actually said If you pray
at the last minute With no valid reason
You commit sin Because the possibility And the
chances of you missing the time Is very
high The next question is Is Tahiyyat al
-Masjid Compulsory for women as well?
Anyone who goes to the Masjid The Prophet
SAW said If one of you enters the
Masjid Do not sit down until he prays
It is highly recommended for both When the
Prophet SAW was in Mi'raj What was
being written At the time by the angels
When the Qadr is already written And the
deeds are written by angels on earth This
is a very long topic Qadr is not
one Qadr There is a general Qadr And
there is Qadr al-Yawmi, al-Hawli Al
-Umri Different types of Qadr You get it?
That's why the Qalam are written When a
person is in the womb of his mother
Before he comes out Allah will ask the
angel to write His Ajal, his Rizq, his
Amal Whether he is Shaqi' or Saeed All
of these four Are there part of the
first Qadr The big one And you have
the Qadr that is written About what will
happen within the year In the Laylat al
-Qadr You get it?
So there is no contradiction at all The
pens are right in the decrees of Allah
But that is the main thing Which is
there in Dawh al-Mahfuz You get it?
That amazing things Everything is there You get
it?
But yet they might be written Up to
date Next question is Do sisters do the
Sujood Differently The position of their hands compared
to the brothers When we see adults praying
differently Should we advise them Imam Ibrahim al
-Nakhay He says according to the sunnah of
the Prophet There is no difference between A
man and a woman in prayers They pray
The same, in the same way You get
it?
A brother and a sister they pray in
the same way When she is praying alone
In the house When she is praying in
their own Masajid They pray like anybody else
However When she is praying in the open
area There is no space to hide herself
She is praying in the place where there
is She is with the non-Muharim Then
the recitation should be Silent She should recite
silently And don't raise up her voice With
Maghrib and Isha and Fajr She should recite
silently And also the Sujood Shouldn't be so
open In the way the brother is doing
She should follow the opinion of the vast
majority of the scholars in this regard But
if she is alone Why wouldn't she follow
Rasulallah More precisely Get it?
Because we are not told that the Prophet
Ever taught the sisters differently Finish?
We still have a lot Ten questions Can
I have the last question?
Wait What is the time now?
10.20 I take Maximum 10 minutes Because
I have a meeting at 11 Next question
I will come back to you Don't worry
Let me show mercy to the online people
first Is it better for sisters to pray
at home?
And is it just considered Sunnah If they
pray at the Masjid?
No It's not even Sunnah to pray at
the Masjid The best for a woman to
pray at home She gets more reward actually
than praying in the Masjid You get it?
The reward is better More fancier, more valuable
than praying in the Masjid Even the Masjid
of Rasulallah That's what Rasulallah said But if
she prays in the Masjid It's okay She
can go to the Masjid and pray She
is not doing something that is Haram In
fact Rasulallah said If she says she wants
to go to the Masjid The husband or
the family shouldn't tell her no They should
let her go Because the Masjid is for
everyone But between her and the Sharia Sharia
advises her to pray at home It's better
It's better for her The only time when
it is better for her to go to
the Masjid Is when there are Durs in
the Masjid She will Enlighten herself and benefit
from it It is better for her to
go to the Masjid As long as If
she prays at home she will miss some
part of the Durs It is better for
her to go to the Masjid And start
the Durs with everyone Other than that Praying
at home is better Next question Do sisters
need to replace their prayer That was missed
due to the pain of delivery?
What does that mean?
