we can get a taste
of Ramadan,
and we make du'a to Allah
That insha'Allah,
in this beautiful Masjid, we will join together
next year,
insha'Allah.
And this Masjid will grow
both
in
place
and also in status.
Inshallah,
I remember
more than 16, 17 years, I used to
come
to the place where
in the house, in the basement,
We used
to
teach each other about the deen, and alhamdulillah,
now
Allah has given us this beautiful place.
And in my past visit,
about 5 months back,
Alhamdulillah, I was privileged
to go upstairs and see again
the expansion.
I was
very much thrilled and happy about this. And
I remember,
the brother who showed me around, and also
Imam Saab.
We made a lot of du'a, like almost
5 minutes du'a,
That Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
keep blessing this community,
and the members of this community.
We made a lot of du'a for the
brothers,
who
are now
with Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala,
and they contributed
so much for this community.
And also,
this afternoon,
I had a chat with, brother Salah.
And I told them
that Limbs
is not
a usual masjid. It's not just a place
for prayer and that's it.
It is really a community,
and I feel
very close and very attached to this community.
It is something from Allah
But you brothers and sisters,
with your sincerity
and your dedication
and devotion and vision,
Vision is very important.
The Prophet
had vision.
He empowered people, he taught a generation
of
companions
who were able to change the world.
They went as far as China,
Uzbekistan,
Tajikistan,
India,
the Arab world,
and they could really change the world.
I could see that this vision being extended
in Long Island Muslim Society,
The kind of leadership,
the empowerment
of youth,
having
new blood in the community,
and management,
doing one thing at a time,
being very organized
and disciplined,
taking the priority
of knowledge of Islam,
having proper
spiritual
leadership to lead the community,

programs and halaqqas,
and very good young programs.
You know,
I had a little chat with
our young imam here,
who is leading the youth programs. So,
these are
blessings,
my dear brothers and sisters.
All of us are going to leave this
world.

When our time comes, we cannot
delay it even for a second.

being part of this community, and I
permit me or allow me to to say
this, being part of this community,
I know for sure that whatever
little I did
with this community,

on the Day of Judgment, it will
be very fruitful and I can see the
result.

of our beloved Prophet
Our beloved Prophet
spoke about a man,
or a woman,
who will be handed
his book of good deeds
with his right hand or her right hand.
So, this person will be so happy, because
if you get in, insha'Allah, we will make
dua'a that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will give
us our book of good deeds
in our right hands, Amin.
So this person
will be so happy, so he will
open
his
book of good deeds,
and he will
read
throughout the book,
and he will be amazed,
and he would read and then
will ask to Allah You
Allah, there are so many good deeds
that I find in my book of good
deeds that I have not done.
I have not done these good deeds.
How come they are recorded as good deeds
for me?
And Allah
will reply back,
Because you helped
build a Masjid for Allah.
You helped maintain
the House of Allah.
So long as people are coming to the
houses of Allah,
and offering their prayers, and learning about the
Deen,
you are getting
equal of their rewards.
Equal of their rewards.
We hope and pray that this
beautiful masjid,
not only
expands in space, but also expands in status,
and becomes
one of the best centers in North America,
if not the world.
Yes,
we started modest,
but as long as we have this vision,
one step at a time, it will prosper
and flourish,
because Allah
rewards good intentions.
And I am a testimony
to the fact that Alhamdulillah,
the brothers and the sisters here
have sowed
the good seeds
and it will eventually prosper
and flourish,
insha'Allah.
So
this blessing
of this community, of this center, my dear
brothers and sisters,
carries
immense and enormous responsibility.
Really, wallahi.
In these times,
the responsibility
even is bigger.
And we live in
the Arab world
and sometimes we cannot think of this idea
of
being a representative
for Islam because we live in
predominantly
Muslim countries,
you know, we hear the adhan,
we go to the masajid and knowledge is
everywhere,
but here in this part of the world,
we have to be conscious of the fact
that
if Allah
guides through our efforts,
through our humble efforts,
one person,
and here I say, guide,
Converting people,
that's not our job, Allah guides.
But
our job is to present the case of
Islam.
It's to present a good image and a
good name of Islam.
If one person hears this message,
and he is guided by Allah
because he heard
the pristine,
clear,
pure
message of Islam,
our beloved Prophet
said, it is
better for you than the entire world. So,
insha'Allah,
the brothers
here in the management
have thought about an idea
to
raise some money
on these odd nights of the blessed month
of Ramadan.
This is an odd night
that is
very great in the sense that it is
the 25th night and also it is the
Friday night.
The scholars say when these
join together,
an odd night and a Friday night,
it is most likely to be Laylatul Qadr.
So we hope and pray that Allah
grants
the goodness of Laylatul Qadr.
So my dear brothers and sisters, I'm appealing
to you insha'Allah,
we have a target and insha'Allah
we will fulfill it. It is $30,000
tonight.
We want
everybody to take part
so that, insha'Allah, it will be written for
you that you donated this money for the
cause of Allah
on a night that is
presumably
Laylatul Qadr.
And we know that Allah
has given us this great night of Laylatul
Qadr. It is a night in which the
first revelation of the Quran
came.
And our beloved Prophet
informed us about the so many blessings of
Laylat al Qadr.
Allah in Surah Al Qadr said about it,
it is better than
1000 months. In the sense that
one good deed,
you do sincerely
for Allah's
pleasure,
it will be better than
you do these deeds for 1000 months.
So if you give with this intention, insha'Allah,
may Allah grant us this intention,
you give with the intention
that it is Laylatul Qadr,
then it will be as if you are
giving in charity for
1000 months,
83 years.
So this is a blessing that we cannot
catch
at so many times.
