AI: Summary ©
Alhamdulillah,
all praises due to Allah Almighty, the creator
of all things, the sender of all prophets
and messengers
and the revealer of all the holy scriptures,
the one
who have provide for all
of us.
The one who have ordained
our life
and also our ending.
May the mercy and the blessing of Allah
SWT. W. T. A. Be upon all of
us
as a seeker of knowledge, and those who
always try the best
to do the best,
to please Almighty
Allah, rubulalamin,
sincerely
no hidden agenda
except
purely for the sake of Allah, Arbul lalamin.
There is what we call
the importance
of the first eye, the intention
in whatever we do.
Without the right intentions,
most of our deeds, even how good it
is,
will benefit us only here but not the
hereafter.
Anything you do for the sake of people,
the people will talk
good about you.
They will appreciate,
praise you
but nothing from Allah.
But if your intention is for Allah, you
gain both.
Allah is going to reward you kindly in
the hereafter
and people also will acknowledge
your good deeds.
So it's very important for all Muslims who
believe in Allah
to put their intention correctly.
When you do for Allah, you gain both.
You gain here
and the hereafter.
But if you do fall here, you only
gain what you want here, nothing
for the hereafter.
Every time when we want to start our
classes,
as one of the way to strengthen
our knowledge about what we have been learning,
And on and off we revisit again
our foundation
so that we never forget our foundation.
And later on,
we always
remind ourselves with the reminder
of Allah
and the reminder of what the Prophet sallallahu
sallam have taught us.
That is the importance
of taqwa.
Taqwa is
to be alert, to be conscious about Allah
Almighty,
the Creator, the All Knowing, the All Seeing.
Brothers and sisters,
the prophet son of Muhammadu w sallam never
means
to remind his ummah,
even they are the greatest ummah,
the best ummah,
but he as the messenger of Allah never
means to remind them
ittaqila.
Ittaqila
means
have taqwa
in Allah.
One of the popular sayings of the prophet
known to all the scholars
of the Quran and Sunnah
is the prophet
keeps on reminding
all the companions,
meaning
I remind all of you
the importance to have taqwa to Allah.
It's like how we remind our children be
careful,
be careful, be
careful.
Then the companion,
prophet Muhammad Songshan's companions,
they love to understand further than that. They
want to know
how and what is the best way to
attain taqwa,
So that when you are tested with all
the trials and challenges,
you
you won't be sad.
You are not sad because of having problem.
No.
You are sad
when you fail, yes,
but having problems
is one of the way
for Allah
to test our taqwa and our iman.
There are people who said
living in this life, they should have problems,
must have
problems. But when you end your life here,
problems stop.
That is
the feeling of the non believer.
The believers,
they are aware that the biggest problems start
after you end your life here.
Any problem here, you can rectify.
You have a chance
to improve.
Once you leave
planet earth, there's no more
improvement.
You just have to
move forward
and respond
to the question
that Allah is going to put through us.
Now when the prophet said,
so they want to know how best
can
we have taqwa to Allah
and remember Allah wherever
you are.
That's why the prophet said, Ittaqila
haystu ma kunt.
Wherever you are,
remember to have taqwa, means to have a
good
connection to Allah.
To be conscious of Allah
with your words and actions.
Don't ever say,
I know better.
No.
That is not the word of a mutakim.
The saying of a mutakim when people ask
him anything,
if he can answer
or if he can't, he said, Allah
knows best.
Very humble.
People of taqwa
will not use the word I, I, I
always.
No.
We
as a servant of the Lord,
we
as a Muslim,
we are very humble in their words.
Then the prophet continued
by guiding his first generation
and that's why they are so blessed because
they follow.
He said the best way to attain taqwa
is
Be a good listener
when people are talking to you especially
when people are quoting the word of Allah.
It's like Allah is talking to you now.
Pay attention.
Don't be careless.
Be mindful. This is Allah talking to you,
not human. Allah is talking to you when
the Quran
is being recited to you,
and when people say,
kolara sullallahu
sallallahu sallam, prophet is talking to us.
That's how the feeling the first generation had
because the prophet was there,
and the same feeling that was developed by
the 2nd and the 3rd generation,
like Imam Shafi'i,
one of the great scholars for the people
in this part
of the world, the Nusantara,
Nusantara Malaysian,
Singapore,
Indonesia,
Brunei, this is the Nusantara
region.
Imad Shafi'i said anytime when somebody quote the
saying of the prophet to me,
the way I respond to the saying is
like I feel Prophet Muhammad is talking to
me.
They are feeling their respect
toward the saying of the prophet
but
it must be authentic too that this is
the saying of the prophet,
Not just opinion, the saying of scholars.
The saying of scholars is just that you
and me, we're human. We can be right,
we can be wrong.
But the saying of the prophet is guided
by Allah.
Allah said he will never utter or say
anything
to do with Islam
except what Allah
wants him to say.
That is our prophet,
not us. We can say anything.
And when it comes to the saying of
the prophet, he knows.
Allah give him the knowledge what is going
to happen
in the future and it's happening.
It is happening now.
That's a way he said,
a very popular saying of the prophet whoever
dared to say something
using my name that I did not say
anything about. I did not say
but they say, Rasool Allah said sunnah
but not from the prophet.
He is putting himself in * of a
lie.
Another saying of the prophet,
That means you are lying
on the name of the prophet.
And the second one, oh prophet said prophet
said sunnah sunnah
Whoever says something that I
did not even mention about it,
then you are putting yourself in hellfire.
You can misquote my saying. No problem.
You can misquote the saying of anybody but
not the saying of Prophet Muhammad.
So the prophet said some are what's about,
be a good listener
and when it's clear to you that this
is what Allah said, what the prophet
want us to do, you just obey,
follow.
Samitna
wa Ta'a.
Then the prophet continued by reminding all of
us.
He's not talking.
He's talking to the companion but the words
of the prophet
is about the people after them.
He said,
Whoever
survives
or lives after
my departure.
He was talking to the companion. The companion
is still dead, the prophet was still alive,
but he's telling his companion,
any one of you
who
survived after my departure,
my death.
The prophet knew
he got some sign.
It's like when Allah revealed the word al
Fath, the Surah al
He said,
my ending is being
signaled to me.
I have been given the sign that my
ending
is coming very soon.
So the prophet said,
whoever survives
after me,
my departure,
you are sure
to be exposed
to encounter
a lot of division
among
my
Ummah.
Are we facing it now?
So divided.
Here say this, there say that everybody is
trying to say everything
and everybody sometimes is talking nonsense
but they are playing with the
public. The public are innocent.
They want to know what is right and
what is wrong, but this so called learned
people is
playing around
using words,
using their own idea,
joke around about religion,
and make people get confused
where religion is very straightforward.
To the extent that Allah remind us, I
never make this religion difficult.
Yasiruwala
to asiru,
the prophet said, make it easy.
Don't make it difficult.
So the prophet said,
Then he continued
by
reminding all of us how to move forward.
When this thing happened,
please remember the command of our prophet.
Hold fast to my stonnah,
my way.
Ma'ana alayhi wa'ashabi
in the other Hadith, the prophet.
Follow
what I have taught all of you,
what I have said,
and
the way of the Khalifa
Arashideen
al Mahadeen,
and the way of
my Khalifa.
My successor,
Abu Bakr, Omar, Osman,
Ali.
They are the 4
Khalifa Arashidis
known to every Muslim.
That is what the prophet said
because these people are people who Allah had
promised to be the people of paradise.
They would never dare to say, to change,
to make alteration
about the religion because the religion has been
perfected and completed by Allah.
They just
convey the message
like how they receive from the prophet. That's
all.
And this Khalifa
set good example.
They are not just a leader like today.
There's a lot of Muslim leaders but they
are showing the bad example.
They don't care about right and wrong anymore.
They dare to commit sin openly,
you know.
They dare to touch male and female openly.
It's like normal.
But not the Khalifa Arashidin, Allahu Akbar.
They are the guided ones
because they feel Allah, they have taqwa.
Our people today,
they don't fear Allah,
and that's why the great scholars before,
even the great 4 imam,
was forced by the Muslim authority
to hold a very important post,
to be
the kuduk,
to be
close to the leader.
Example,
to be a mufthi.
None of them accept the offer.
None of them.
Why? They are qualified.
They are great scholars and thinkers
because of the fear towards other taqwa.
They honour you because of your knowledge.
They know what we say people listen. What
they say people don't listen.
When a leader is saying something,
a politician says that people don't bother
politics.
But when a scholar says something,
people listen.
They do not want to misguide
people.
They are worried if you offer me dispose,
one I accept.
I may have to keep on pleasing
you. Whatever you need to do, if it
is wrong, I may not say anything.
I dare not say anything.
It's like I have to keep quiet.
A scholar can't do that.
He is not here to condemn anybody. No,
no, no. He is here to alert everybody
what is right and what is wrong. That's
all.
He's not here to judge anybody yet. Everybody
can be good, can be bad, can be
ugly, and they can be good again,
but keep on reminding each other.
That is the duty.
And because they reject the offer,
what happened to them? They were imprisoned. They
were arrested
like they are not
supporting
the authority. They support what is right, they
support what is wrong, they will keep on
reminding. That is how their
role
is. Today we know what is happening around
the globe today.
The one who have authority
don't have taqwa but they have authority.
The one who have the knowledge
but don't have the authority.
But you just have to do what you
have to do,
and leave it to Allah.
That's why the prophet
speak out the truth even it is bitter.
Why
alhamirabbik
falatakkulnanaminamamtari?
Because the truth is from
God, from Allah.
Don't hesitate.
Don't have doubt
to speak out what is right.
But you are not here to judge anybody
again. If people follow Alhamdulillah,
people do not follow, pray for them.
That's all.
Yeah. Nobody is perfect.
I like to revisit some of these
matters because it's important
for us from time to time
because we are facing a lot of challenges,
issues
that have no issues suddenly become an issue.
You know, we are very clever and smart
in creating issues without any issues.
You know, I think because we are so
free doing nothing,
so we are going to do something
that does not benefit anybody, creates more confusion.
Let us continue based on the book that
we are referring to, Don't Be Sad.
Where are we now? Have you
highlighted the page?
Yeah.
Last week we talked about if you embrace
Islam there is no reason for you to
be sad.
That was last week.
When you follow Islam, what is there to
be sad?
Yeah. Because you follow what Allah wants you
to do
and you are so close to Allah, there's
nothing to be said.
We continue
today
on page 187,
one scholar that
the author of this book is trying to
share with us
whatever he
encountered about
what happened.
From time to time you must remember
other than the Quran and Sunnah,
everything
you have
to accept.
There's no doubt.
No doubt in it.
But
story,
what happened by certain scholars, this is just
some sharing.
It's not a hokum, no.
One scholar informed me that during the time
when Sudan was a colony under the British
Empire,
a desert nomad
came to the capital city of Sudan called
Khartoum.
When he saw a British policeman walking in
the center of the city
he asked
somebody,
a passerby, who is that?
These are the Orang kampung.
Yeah. People
yeah, like Bedouin people who are
from
the village
countryside.
He was told that that man was a
foreign
policeman,
is a foreigner,
a policeman,
and that he was a
disbeliever
because he's not a Muslim,
yeah.
The
nomad asked,
a disbeliever,
a disbeliever in what? What is the thing
that he disbelieves?
Sometimes people who are very
innocent
and people who are in the village,
they know you must believe
but sudden they came to know there is
a person who don't believe.
What if they think that he don't believe?
So they got shocked.
A disbeliever
in Allah.
That is how
he was expressing his feelings.
I never come across in my area that
people who don't believe. Suddenly he found a
person who disbelieve.
Living in a desert for so long this
man inborn nature
unspoiled,
uncorrupted
by evil ideas,
had remained intact and so,
so easily contact all people who are very
simple minded.
You are very straightforward.
Whatever
you know,
whatever your parents, the scholar, the imam remind
you,
you just believe and just follow.
My people who are living in the city,
they're exposed
to more things than all of us.
Yeah. Before when you sit stay in the
village, you tend to know each other,
you know. If you stay in one kampung,
one village,
if somebody come and ask for somebody,
you seem to know because
you are so close, you keep in close
contact, you visit one another,
you know,
very
connected.
Living in the city lifestyle, even your neighbor,
you don't know each other.
And who is your neighbor?
I don't know.
Do you know the the so and so?
The so and so just beside you,
next door. Oh no, I don't know. I
don't know. Do you have his address?
No, no. I heard that he stay somewhere
around here but I don't know. I'm sorry.
That is the lifestyle of the life
in the city.
People are so busy
that they don't know each other.
Yeah.
We know in the village or kampung, just
ask someone, oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's at the corner.
Allahu akbar,
yeah.
Because we are so
connected.
Today we are connected with other.
We are connected with the world that we
don't even remember our neighbor,
yeah.
So they are not corrupted. We are so
corrupted.
When we heard something
so
unique or so strange,
it made him
astonished and sick.
Now
he feel very
bad. How can this happen?
How can there is a person who disbelieve
in God?
So he said and does anyone disbelieve in
Allah? He then grabbed hold of his thumb
and warned it from shared disgust
at what he heard
and then
the verses of Allah is something they are
exposed to
People who are very
simple,
yeah, normally they are exposed to the saying
of Allah.
They are not corrupted.
Then Allah in chapter 84 verse 20 even
say what is the matter with them that
they believe not. Even Allah,
yeah, is sharing
with us.
How can
any of the creation of Allah
disbelieve
in him?
Allah is the creator of the world.
And Allah said,
I create the jinn, I create the human
so that they know me,
but
everybody
through your fitra you know there is a
Creator.
That's why Allah said in the Quran many
times he said,
Muhammad Eve asked the pagan,
so called, you don't have this believer in
a time of the prophet.
You don't have this free thinker,
atheists,
communists, you don't have this term,
do not exist.
You don't have this term, secular, liberal, nothing.
Everybody
is a believer
Because Allah say, if you ask anybody who
created the heaven and the earth, they say
Allah.
So why is there difference between people who
already believe?
That's why the believer before,
we call them
mushrikeen.
We don't call them mulhideen.
Mulhideen is those who don't believe at all.
The only thing
they want to associate with Allah,
they
don't feel safe to believe only 1 God.
They want to believe in many gods.
That's why they commit shirk,
But if you ask them why do you
have this idol? Why do you have these
images?
You see, this is not God.
It's just a medium.
It is just
you know, something that we may
you know, want to tell him if we
are busy, God is too busy
to entertain everybody's
prayer so I will send a message to
this medium
and tell him that I'm asking for this
when
the time God is
okay. Please let him know.
I'm asking for this, this, this. It's just
like all of us. Now all the big
big guns have PAPA, you know personal assistant,
they have their SOP, you cannot go direct
to them, you go through their personal secretary
so we just send them a message and
then they say okay okay okay. They look
into it, sometimes they don't look into it
at all.
But here we are waiting, we thought that
we have sent a message to you and
then he said okay okay okay but they
have no amana.
Everybody is corrupted, they see who are you,
do I know you? Did I get any
present from you? If you like to send
present to me, okay,
this is a good customer.
Everybody becomes a businessman today.
Everywhere.
That's why the prophet and the companions, the
Sahaba,
they don't like to have all this. Anybody
can come straight to see them
or they will come for Jum'at and
you can see then they'll give you the
sermon, you can approach them. Very simple,
you know.
Very simple, Allahu Akbar.
So
even
Allah is saying what is the matter with
them
that they believe not?
Please remember
you don't have a disbeliever.
You only have
a mushrokin
who believe in more than one God.
In another chapter,
chapter 51 verse 23,
Allah
reminds us again, then by the law of
the heaven and the earth
It is the truth
what has been promised to you
just as it is the truth that you
can speak.
The truth is the truth. Nobody can deny.
Even Shaitan who was the one who turned
us astray,
whispered to us,
he believed in Allah.
He prayed to Allah. You know that anytime
when he want to disturb us,
he asked Allah for permission.
He knows without Allah's permission, he can't do
anything,
and Allah will allow.
Now, he was testing Ayyub, alaihis salaam. He
seeked Allah's permission.
He test. He tried to test a lot
of people
and he asked Allah for permission. Allah.
God,
Allah knows.
Do Allah know that we are very weak?
Yeah.
And that's why Allah keeps on reminding us.
That's why Allah wants you to pray 5
times a day
as one of the best reminders.
Akeemusolelizikharib,
establish a prayer
so you remember
what I want you to do, what I
don't want you to do,
what I like, what I dislike. That's how
you remember not just by Ezekiel, Ezekiel,
but you don't even remember what you are
doing.
You don't even understand,
but you have been reciting it.
Example.
One should think well of Allah, have good
thoughts. That's why the prophet, son of a,
sallam, did mention in one of the hadith
and even Allah responded, he said, ana
in the zani abdi. I will go according
to how
my servant think about me.
And the prophet somehow said,
the believers have a very unique
character.
They don't have bad thoughts,
negative thoughts with God.
Khuz Mizon billahi ta'ala.
Anything good happen, they are grateful.
Alhamdulillah.
Anything
bad happen they don't blame
anyone.
They see, they don't say why, why, why?
No, we have so more, so many why
now. Why like that? Why like this?
Anything bad,
sober,
patient.
And you try to reflect.
This is why
human is unique. Why they do this?
You don't understand neither they understood.
They just do for the sake of doing.
They like to do, they do.
But you must have patience.
Inaluhamaasawbireen,
so Allah said, I
am close to those who have patience.
Now how
do you understand patience?
I give you one simple example.
Those who have how many of us have
been to hash before?
1, 2, 3, 4. Good.
Sometimes you don't understand why they block
when space is so empty, you know. You
just want to come up from your hotel
and straight and then just pray.
Nobody is in front of them. It's an
open area.
They just block.
So how are you going to
move on?
How do we do that?
You get upset,
then you reverse back, go back to your
room.
I come all the way to pray and
then you block me for no reason.
I say empty empty, you know, left, left,
left.
And they're pushing you maybe
100 meters.
Why you have to walk extra 100 meters
when the space is just in front of
you?
What is patient?
You can't even stand and wait.
They keep on chasing you, pushing you.
How to have patience and move forward?
Just follow the flow.
Just move,
You find a place.
You just have to move,
you know.
Sometimes they allow you to move in front,
you at the gate of the mosque now
just to let you go in.
And the ground floor you can see so
many empty space.
No.
You go take escalator, go up.
Patient.
But don't be patient and stand there
and get upset. Just move. Follow the flow.
You find a place and you can pray
and you don't say, I'm gonna win. I'm
gonna fight with you.
You cannot win.
And the worst thing that is going to
happen,
some other people
who dress like them will come in and
they let ego.
We thought that it's time for me I
also follow them. They don't allow you.
Stuff, yeah. So next time you want to
be
get all the privilege, you learn how to
dress like them.
With
the eagle, the red one,
white silk. But sometimes they look at you,
you don't look like that.
That. I was watching,
I said, what, next time I should dress
like them.
But we don't look like them, you see.
Cannot be
them.
Again, you see,
Allahu Akbar.
We learn how to everything happens for a
reason. We try to understand them. They don't
understand us. We try to understand them and
move forward.
Have good thoughts with Allah. Okay.
You will never
regret.
One should think well of this Lord and
seek his favor and mercy.
In an authentic hadith, the prophet
said that
our Lord
love.
After hearing this,
a desert Bedouin said, we are not
hearer of Allah who love well.
Behrav, and he is the one who sent
down the rain after
they have despaired.
Many thing happened in life
when you keep on asking asking. Allah
did not respond but he delayed
for a reason that you don't understand.
Anything you ask you get it people don't
value.
It's like our children ask get us get,
they don't value anymore.
Anything that you don't get so easily, you
value it better.
No.
Allah knows
better than all of us.
Surely Allah's mercy is ever near unto the
good to us. Allah's mercy is always there
brothers and sisters.
Certainly the help of Allah is near.
Just have faith
and have patience
but don't
stop doing what is right. Just keep on
doing.
You don't see the result now? Just do,
do, just do.
Don't let anything stop you from doing what
is good.
Anybody you can help, just help.
Yeah. There is a very interesting story in
the time of the prophet
Unbeliever.
If we understand,
it's about
what happened between
Omar,
the second caliph,
and between
another
Arabs. Later on he became a Muslim
named Zaid.
I share with you this story, very interesting.
Zaid is a person
who was not a Muslim,
lived in Mecca,
but he was exposed to the Torah,
to the early Scriptures,
and he had the knowledge about
how to
confirm this man is a prophet
because of certain signs that Allah had mentioned.
So when this
man appeared,
he had that understanding already
but he was looking for other signs.
So one day while he was with the
prophet, he is not a Muslim man,
a man came to the prophet
and said,
You Rasoolah,
I'm a poor guy
and my people
who is
at my village are poorer.
They are suffering now.
Can you help us?
I'm worried if nobody helped them, they will
turn astray.
Poor people can do many many things.
They can turn away from the truth.
So the prophet
asked Adi,
do we
have anything?
Ali said, yes, a bit,
but this bit not sufficient,
not enough.
The prophet never said no.
Whatever
thing that he can do,
he will try his best.
So he asked Ali, you know, the prophet
is not like us. We have some saving
here and there,
you know.
We, the prophet, have no saving.
If he wants, he can get people. He's
going to give it to me. No, no,
no. He don't want.
You have, you keep your money, time for
you to pay, to do good things, you
do.
Allahu akbar.
Then this brother,
one of the
companions but he was not a Muslim yet
at that time,
Zayd ibn Sakhna,
he said,
do you want anything extra? I can lend
it to you. I have.
He have,
yeah.
So he said okay.
So he borrowed from this guy and passed
it to this man and called him to
bring back
and give it
in the form of food, especially food
to survive,
dates and so on. At that time the
most
practical one is they'd go and share with
them.
So the prophet suhmm, sallam
accepted
and said to this Bedouin,
So the prophet have promised that he will
pay back
when the harvest,
yeah,
come
and when he harvest the dates.
Then one day
before the end of the
date, say that, the prophet said,
harvest time say in 1 month,
so
when I collect the harvest I will pay
back what I borrowed from you.
A few days before the harvest, I went
to the desert where I found the prophet
son of ahsam sitting in the shade of
a tree.
Surrounded by his companion
in war, Omar ibn Khattab,
And then
look at his
character,
very weird
and very brave.
I approached
Muhammad,
he don't acknowledge as a prophet yet,
impolitely
grabbed his collar and sit in his face.
He hold his collar,
and he scream in front of him.
You see this brief brief message.
I knew that the Bani Abdul Muttalib, the
family of
Abu Talib,
were like that.
Like what? Like you, Muhammad.
What do you mean, like me?
You take money from people and fall short
in return. You borrow but you don't
pay back.
But the death is not ended yet.
Say example, 2 days before that he came
and said to the prophet,
do you know there is not much time
left until the Greek term of our
promise?
But it's not yet the day.
By right you come on that day is
fair enough. No.
When this thing happened,
of course it angered
the people around the prophet.
Who don't get angry when people show disrespect
to your love?
What?
The prophet.
Omar, when he said, he saw this, he
said, oh, enemy of Allah.
Ummah is very simple.
He has no respect for people who don't
respect Prophet Muhammad.
Do I hear you speak to the messengers
of Allah that,
like that true? I want to repeat. Did
Aisha you say
what you have
said.
By Him in whose hand
in my soul they swear, Omer is ready
now,
now. That I am going to chop off
your head with my sword.
There is Omar.
Don't play with this,
the lion,
yeah, of Islam.
The prophet
prevented him
with patience.
No need to quarrel.
Just relax.
The messenger even smiled and said to Omar,
be patient,
And he asked Omar
to go and check
about the dates
that they have collected
and he asked Ummah to get extra.
So Umar followed the order at 20 extra
unit of debt to the original amount
that the prophet
borrowed from
Zayid bin Satna.
So
they said to Omar,
do you know who I am?
Zayid means Sa'ana
asked and Umar said no.
Why do you do and say what you
did to the prophet? Umar asked him.
Look at his response.
Or Omar.
There is nothing left
remaining of the sign of the prophet but
that I saw them in the face of
the messenger of
Allah.
Whenever I look at him, I tested 2
of them.
That is the mildest
surpasses his anger
and the severity of ignorance only increased in
him
in mildness and forbearance.
I saw them both,
Oh Omar, indeed
I declare,
I declare that you grant my money as
a charity to the community of
Muhammad.
So he just made Shahada.
You see sometimes they are tested. Even our
prophets, the messenger Allah been been tested in
that manner.
People scream at him,
hold his collar, talk to him.
Now if this happened to us, how are
we going to react?
I don't know.
No. We have to react
too much.
So because
in the Torah,
the earliest have mentioned that this man has
a unique
character.
Very
patient, very merciful,
you know, and he know how to control
his anger very very well.
Not like you, like me. I think Allah
will not put us in this test. Don't
worry.
All of us will fail.
We already jihad now. He declared jihad.
Allahu al Mustaan. Yeah.
Very important to understand. Yeah.
The best character of course is Allah's prophet,
Subhanahu Wa Salam.
So now what I like to share brothers
and sisters,
there are 4 things that I like to
share.
A person's value is based on the good
heeders.
This is the saying of Ali
and it means that a person's knowledge, character,
his worship
and generosity
are the yardstick
by which
we measure
and we value.
Don't value a person by their look,
just by their wealth but by their
knowledge,
by their good deeds. Yeah.
And verily Quran said chapter 2, so that
the book was 221,
a believing slave is better than a free
mushrik
even though he pleases you.
Meaning,
a person who believe in Allah and follow
what he believe is better
than anybody who have committed shirk
and then
he repent,
yeah, he become a good person,
yeah. Even that that person
pleased you
but those who really believe in Allah, even
he was a slave
yeah, it's always
better than a free man
who
is a mushrik.
Meaning you can see
the poor guy who believe in Allah is
better
than so called a rich guy but
who do not believe in Allah.
Number 2, one's
status
for this life and for the hereafter
depend on his determination,
striving
and sacrifice.
Remember,
if you want to be successful
here to the hereafter,
it depends on your own determination,
sacrifice
and how you strive towards that.
Allah has shown us his way
and he said
the best one is what we always ask
Allah
You want to ask, Allah asked for
success in this life and success for the
hereafter.
This is
a bridge, a platform for you to attain
your future reward
in the hereafter.
Don't just plan for here. If you just
plan for here,
then you will end everything here.
You can get everything you want here that's
all. Nothing and here after 0. We don't
want that.
That's why the best prayer is ask for
both.
The worst prayer is what Allah said,
there are people who just ask here here,
I want the million to be a million
and to be a 1,000,000,000 and the trillion
and I want to be a king I
want to be so you just mention anything
you want.
You always want 1 1 1 1.
You only want one thing, life here. I
will give you.
Yeah?
But nothing over there.
So Allah said, and if they intended
to move out, to march out, certainly they
would have made some preparation,
meaning
anything you want for your future
you must prepare.
That's why Allah said, waltanzunafsumaqaddamat
likat,
Prepare
for your tomorrow.
Anything you want the best from Allah, you
must give Allah the best now.
That's how you move on.
You don't want the best from Allah, but
you don't do your best.
Anything Allah just do for the sake, I
have done this karas.
Give the best
and Allah will give you more than what
you have given for his sake.
And strive hard in Allah's cause
as you ought to strive with sincerity and
with all your effort that his name
should be superior. Everything.
Remember that prayer we always ask
Just
try your best to
implement this ayah.
My prayer,
my sacrifice, sacrifice, what I do in this
life,
what I'm gonna do in Africa,
everything to please Allah.
You find peace
and you find tranquility.
Of course, being human, you feel sad sometimes
when something
don't go according to your plan, but
just have
patience.
Be positive, yeah, and move on.
Number 3, every person by the will of
Allah
is the maker of his own history.
He write his life story
with his good and bad deeds.
We record,
Allah
record that which they
send before them and their traces,
their footsteps
and walking on the earth with their lake
to the mosque for the 5 compulsory congregational
prayer,
jihad,
and all other goods and evil they did
and that which they leave behind.
We always try to write something about
our life. Good.
Allah also
is right is writing
about all the good deeds that we do.
Can you imagine one footstep
you make
to go to the place to seek knowledge,
to come here, example,
or go to the mosque to pray?
Allah is going to reward you
not only 1 to 1, 1 to 10.
Allahu akbaru.
Life is short
and passes quickly,
we know.
So fast now we are, how old are
we?
50
plus? Suddenly
when we are 20, when we are 30,
we are still very,
yeah,
we are very dunya.
We don't have time for akira.
Alhamdulillah, after reach 40 we realize,
After 40, alhamdulillah,
life is short.
Do not make it shorter
by sinning, by worrying,
or by don't waste your time, you know,
you know. Don't waste your time to argue.
It's time for you to look into yourself,
what can I do more
to prepare myself?
The day they see it will be as
if they had not tired in this world
except
an afternoon or a morning.
That means a day in Allah's,
yeah, sight,
yeah.
We live for how long?
50, 60?
In the day of judgment, Allah asks, how
long have you lived?
You know what will be our answer in
the Quran?
One day are you. No no no no.
Then we get confused, half a day
because a day in a kira
is like 50000
years
in this world.
Have we lived for a day?
A day in Akira,
50 1000 years
according to the calculation of the life here.
We don't even live for a day.
That's why the Malay have a saying,
not from the Hadees,
it's a pro, is it?
Alanka pandemicna
hiduk gidunya.
Normally when you are born, they will
receive the newborn by azan.
To the year of the child.
After azan, what do we do?
Normally after you hear the azan, what do
you do?
Not the baby. The baby can't do anything.
It's just, saying
you pray because the azan is calling,
Haya come and pray
so that you gain success.
So they said, how short
our life is
between aman and prayer? Normally take 10 minutes.
That is how short. When you are born,
people
receive you with Azzan. When you die, people
will just send you through the prayer, make
the salutogenesis
pandemic.
But why do we feel so long?
Because
of the world.
This world
has so many things for you to think
of,
No. See how every day we think what
to eat because we have so many food,
so much food here and there. You don't
know what to eat. If you go and
ask the people like in Gazzan, Africa, have
no food,
they just consider 1.
For us,
too much food.
I don't know what to eat.
Supeek,
goreng,
kwek.
Okay, nothing wrong but that is the reality
of life, brothers and sisters.
In sha Allah, in the coming class,
we will
talk about things that bring about happiness.
Yeah.
The happiness will come after you go through
all these trials and challenges.
There's a saying
at the end of the tunnel there's a
light waiting for you, just move on, move
move move.
Be positive
and then Insha'Allah you find a lot of
peace.
So may Allah
help all of us to understand the reality
of life
and remember the story of
Zayd bin Sa'ana,
yeah,
because they are looking for the truth, They
want to test whether he's a prophet. If
he's the real prophet, even other signs have
appeared.
After he tested his patience
and his mercy,
he knows this is the man.
Yeah.
If there's any question now we're open for
q and a.
Any question?
Yep.
Yeah,
yeah. When the companions who are reading
normally
is the original Torah.
At that time
a lot of things still original. It's like
when,
the prophet
experienced the
angel
in Guahera,
then Khartija was talking
to the prophet. He said, I will bring
to see,
yeah, one of my family member who is
exposed to the scripture,
where the scripture will talk about
the coming messenger.
Yeah. Moses did talk about the coming
prophet, and
Moses is not really
referring to Jesus because he was referring to
Prophet Muhammad, subhanahu wa sallam.
So all the signs of this, that is
why if you go back to the history,
why the Jew
migrate to Medina
and Mecca.
At that time it is called Hijaz,
not Saudi,
Hijaz.
Because
it was written in the book that the
last messenger will come from there.
That's why they migrate over there.
Why they migrate? The expectation
that it will be coming from the Bani
Israel,
from their own
descendants.
But Allah Almighty
has his own decision.
He has sent so many prophets among the
Bani Israel,
not only 1,
not only 2, it's from
its heart beginning of Yaqub, alaihis salaam,
and the 12 children of Ya'akov,
they are all Bani Israel.
Moses, Bani Israel, Harun, Bani
Israel, Esau, Bani Israel.
And they keep on
rejecting,
they keep on
going against
their prophet. They even kill some of their
prophet.
Can you imagine if they can kill the
prophet, who are we for them to kill?
Nobody.
So
at the end,
Allah have his plan.
He chose the last messenger who will come
from there,
Mecca,
but not from Bani Israel,
from Bani Israel.
And that
when he appeared,
they knew they saw the sign,
but because he was not from Bani Israel,
they rejected him.
Yes.
Correct.
If let's say they didn't take the Shahadah.
No. No. No. You must understand what they
mean by that. It means that when Moses
was there,
they have to follow
the way that Moses have taught them.
But Moses is just informing they'll come later
on and when that prophet appear that is
his time.
It's the time of the prophet Muhammad
when his time is you must follow him.
You don't follow Muhammad, Muhammad do not appear
yet.
That is how you mean that every prophet
was sent to his people.
So at that point of the time,
they follow Moses.
You don't follow
other way except the way that Moses have
taught you.
That is what
we mean by they ascend to their home,
to the people. Yes, Madaba.
Correct.
Okay.
As
Allah looked at how people have moved
or or gone.
Then astray. Astray
from his teaching,
that is when he refined in the second
book, he refined in the third book and
he refined in the final revelation, which is
the Al Quran. Naam.
And
there is no In in in other words,
because,
Rasoolallah came right at the end Correct. He
had no
contact whatsoever with, with Nabi Musa, Nabi Nabi
Issa, Nabi Dawood and all that. So
so there
is don't wait that you know.
So at the end of the day, it
is Allah
who determined
the the purity
of His teaching, not any one of
the of the Rasul. Am I right? Correct.
In a way, yeah.
Just example,
when Prophet Muhammad migrated to Madinah,
when he saw the Jew was fasting
on the 10 of Muharram. You remember the
hadith about that?
So he asked the Jew, why do you
fast?
He said that this is the day that
Allah,
yeah, freed the Bani Israel and Moses from
the tyrant
of Faraun
and destroy Faroe and his
soldiers' army.
That's why we fast, because Moses fast.
You see, then
I have more right,
yeah, than you because
Moses is a prophet before me.
So the prophet Muhammad, even the Quran, you'll
come across many verses, Allah said,
I reveal
book to you.
The book, the last is here to confirm
what was revealed early in the Torah and
in Jibak, the original one.
Now of course after some time people start
to distorted,
change the law.
The Old Testament is no more in the
hand of anybody later on,
not at that time, at that time still
dead,
but later on people corrupted everything and changed
Torat to Salmuth.
Yeah Torat is just
in the museum,
no more in the hand of
the followers,
keep on changing. That's why Allah
sent another prophet
and revealed another book.
And after that
prophet passed away, people start to change again.
That's why Allah sent another book.
Then when Allah decide to send prophet Muhammad
as a seal of all prophet, the last
measure,
he make it very clear I'm going to
reveal this last testament in the Quran
and he
We are going to protect the authenticity of
this book, and that is why Quran is
being protected
until today.
Everywhere you go, the original text of the
Quran stay intact Arabic.
Everybody
want to pray
Arabic.
The color of prayer
Arabic. With one language,
you are united.
When it come to the meaning it can
be any languages,
and Allah make it that is why we
are so
blessed
that the Quran that we have stay authentic
until the end of time.
Allahu
Akbar. Unchanged,
unaltered,
but
we still have another problem.
Why we don't follow?
We have the
original text with us.
By right,
it's so easy for us to be a
good believer.
Whatever Allah said. Allah said, follow my messenger,
follow.
Allah said follow Muhajidun wal Ansar, the best
companion of the prophet. Follow.
He never call us to follow our forefathers,
the majority. He never called us to follow.
But we always give excuse. Forefather
tradition,
this is the scholars say did Allah follow
scholars?
No.
Yeah, who are the real scholars?
A true scholar is a scholar who will
convey the message
like how they received from the Holy Quran
and
the Hadith of the Prophet. Yes, you can
follow.
But now a lot of scholars are playing
with words,
make people get confused,
you know, And claiming some of them claimed,
you know I met the prophet and the
mob were talking to me telling me this
and that again,
give me further
advice.
I went to the grave of the prophet
in Maqam, the prophet and then suddenly
his hand just stretched out and hold my
hand.
Can you imagine?
And people believe that is the worst thing
to happen. You can say anything, but you
have people
who were simple minded can't believe. Wow.
If the prophet even offer his hand to
shake the Sheikh's hand,
the hand of the Sheikh must be very
blessed.
That's why when the Sheikh comes, everybody want
to kiss his hand.
You know?
Example.
Can you imagine?
People are claiming,
you know, when their share is there, when
they have a problem,
the prophet is just next door
behind the curtain,
and he can just go back
and talk to the prophet,
and then he'll come back and tell his
followers. Prophet Muhammad just talked to me, you
know, and he said this.
He can claim anything,
but the worst thing that simple people
can just believe,
and that's why they start
to take these
so called scholars to them as God beside
Allah.
Allah
Allah talks about this that happened to the
Jew
and the Nasara
who have took their rabbi, their monk as
God beside Allah.
They don't care what is written in a
book, they just listen to what the rabbi
is telling them.
Today the same thing happened to us
but one thing we are protected,
the original Quran is still intact.
The saying of the prophet authentic saying intact,
alhamdulillah.
But we are not intact.
We have
problem.
Prophets.
All the other prophets.
How to perform the prayer?
When he emailed the the prayer and end
that night, what prayer of it? No one
knows.
No one. There's no
detail about that. It's just telling us about
what happened.
They do have a prayer, all prophet do
worship Allah,
but how?
Only Allah knows best, because it's not
mentioned
very clearly, detailed in the hadith,
but it's just sharing us what happened.
Like how they met there and then they
met the prophet
in the levels different level of the heaven
again,
you know. And that's why we believe based
on what the prophet
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom Wom
Wom W
Can you explain
wudu between husband and wife?
Wudu wudu is wudu. Everyday the Prophet taught
us to take wudu, only one way.
Male, female is the same. Now if you
have a wudu now, if you touch each
other,
it's okay.
Unless you have some kind of discharge, then
you have to renew your widow.
It's just touching each other, it's like you
love
respect to each other.
The prophet kisses his wife and then he
went out to pray.
No issue.
But some people were exposed also. Oh no.
Why you touch?
Skin to skin issue.
Okay.
Are you saying that that we are so
dirty, so filthy,
you know,
that you cannot even touch when you touch?
Gone. Okay. Right? Because
they are arguing based on the word touch,
lamastum.
But if you already go back to the
Quran
when you talk about touching here, it's not
physical touch, it's intimacy,
then you have to
renew not only the udok, you have to
go soon.
You have to take bath.
Yeah. So if you look into the ayah
talking about
wudu
in the Quran,
then later on they will continue with gusul
about intimacy,
and then they use the word
'tas'.
So what you understand,
the word tas here means intimacy,
not physical.
Yeah.
That's how it goes, lastly.
Assalamu alaikum, sir.
My question relates to,
predetermination
or striving
versus striving for success.
What I mean by that is what would
you say to those who say,
oh, Allah has already predetermined my future for
me so why should I struggle for success
in the dunya or my akhra?
No. Okay.
Of course Allah
knows everything.
This is something we must believe.
He sees everything, everything is recorded. Before we
were created,
all what our life ordained upon us is
being recorded.
Now the idea of some people say, so
what is the point for me to struggle
if Allah say I'm going to have a
failure even I try my best, I'm going
to fail?
If Allah say I go to * even
I'm trying to be a good deed, maybe
I end to *.
Do you know what is being ordained?
Do we know what Allah has predestined for
us?
No.
That is very important.
We don't know.
We must believe, yes.
When you don't know, you just have to
do what you have to do.
When it come to worldly thing you know
how to do,
you cannot say if Allah ordained that I
am going to be
ignorant about IT so I don't have to
learn about IT.
No.
So I just don't want to learn, but
you want to learn. You want to strive.
You want to have the knowledge.
If Allah say I'm not going to be
driving, why must I drive and waste my
time go to this driving school and pay
for the I just
Do you drive? No.
Why?
Allah says I cannot be a driver.
How can you know?
How can you blame God for that
Thing that Allah ordained is something that
leave it to Allah, but then you as
a human, you must do what you have
to do.
If you try, you try and
nothing changes that mean except that point of
time,
Allah has udined. You strive to get more
risky, more income but that day only this
much. Alhamdulillah.
But next day you try but you don't
know.
You just have to do your homework.
That's all. Do what you have to do.
You don't ask what Allah
has ordained, but after the end of the
day this is what you have, that is
what been ordained.
There is the right belief in Kadar and
Kadar.
You cannot just blanket it. I don't have
to do it. If Allah say I'm going
to paradise,
I'm sure to go.
Why must I work so hard? If Allah
say you go to *, how good you
are you? How do you know?
How do you know?
But Allah show you whoever want to go
to paradise
be a true believer
and act righteously. Allah
Whoever
said he, Allah kata,
send great tiding to those who believe and
act righteously.
We prepare for them paradise. So you do
your best and then you leave it to
Allah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He have to do what he have to
do. My duty is do what Allah want
me to do.
Yeah. Even Allah have guarantee him, but he
still have to do.
You can just say, I'm sure to go
paradise, man.
So what is there for me to suffer
anymore?
I just do what I like. No. No.
No. No. You must follow the guidance
the way Allah has shown you. Just
follow.
And may Allah help us accept all our
prayer
and may Allah forgive all of us for
the
shortcoming
and all the mistakes that we have,
committed
feeling the unbelieving.
