Hello, everybody.
Very good. My name is Josiah machete you can call me call
Woodside. Okay, if you at any point have any questions you can
ask me but not during the real meeting. I'd like you to just hold
your questions or comments until after the reason.
Why are we here?
Tell me what the word means. What does that mean? Yes? Manners. What
does manners me?
Well, first of all, is it good manners to just shout out answers?
What's a good way of having good manners? When someone asks you a
question? What do they do?
You raise your hand very good. This is an example of good
manners. If I need you for the first time, and I don't know you
should I just walk right past, you
know, what should we do as muslims? Say hi.
Say what
me from and then what do we respond?
These are just a couple of examples of having good add up and
being added and that is a big part of being a Muslim, right? Every
Muslim should not get added. Who is the person who has the best of
ever? Who has the best end up ever? Nobody can have better?
Oh, I hear someone's still not
in the back, yes.
Very good. Mashallah, you got the correct answer. And he had other
because what do we say after we say the province name? What do we
say? Sailing. So
this is having good edit with the Province of Nova itself. So
there's so many different ways to have edit, but these are just a
few examples. So I wrote a book.
And it's called Clear the path.
And Brian both on matters for little Muslims. And you'll
understand why I titled it clear the path if you're paying
attention. So I'm gonna quiz you guys. Okay, I'm gonna see who's
really paying attention to the Ryan at the end and asked you, if
you understood why I named it this. Okay, so let's go ahead and
get started. My friend, Lena here is going to help me, she's gonna
project it. I hope you guys can see, there's pictures there. Okay,
so I'm gonna, it's a rifle. So there's a variety and for parents
or teachers in the room, please take liberty to do the rhyme.
However you want to do it with your kids. I've actually gone
through maybe five or 10 different ways. And I'm all over the place
with it as well. It's kind of fun that way. So you don't have to
follow my way. But try it your own way too at home. So here it is.
Ready? So I'm gonna begin now. So I really appreciate it. Everybody
sat quietly, please. And just watch this projector, okay?
Because if I start hearing too much noise, and I'm going to
distract it. So let's Shogun up and listen quite ready. The first
section is called Reading and visiting. So everything here is
about them. When you when you read someone for the first time. And
when you visit their home, maybe you're invited for a start, for
example, how do they behave? We're going to talk about that in this
right so let's begin. I am a Muslim, I say the truth. I mind my
manners. Yes, I do. I say so. Before I speak. I love Allah his
happiness. I see. I shake hands so my sins will fall. I turn around
when My name is called by take my shoes off, no tracking dirt. I
clear the past so no one gets hurt. I say Bismillah before I eat
and drink. I rinse my hands and then dry the sink. This is the
first section. The second section is listening and speaking. So if
you're in a classroom environment or something like this, this is
gonna tell you how to behave ready. I am a Muslim. I say that
truth. I mind my manners. Yes, I do. I never frown or whine when I
don't get my way. I speak my mind when I have nice things to say. I
trust the people who I know don't lie. I'm not suspicious and will
never spy or cry. I pay attention and don't enter. I remain quiet
and never say
I praise a lot when I feel grateful and glad i preys on a lot
when I feel upset and sad.
The third section this is on sharing and caring how to be more
sharing and caring
In giving person
I am a Muslim. I say that truth. I bind my manners. Yes, I do. I save
my money to help people in need. I give my time to increase my good
deeds. I share my food and offer the best thing first, I drink
three small sips to quench my thirst. I visit the sick to help
ease their pain. I pray their strength and health will remain. I
sit with my elders and ask them how they are. I help them walk to
one from the car.
The next section is cleaning and dressing on how to stay clean keep
your holds your room your your the things that you have in your
possession sleep. I am a Muslim. I say that true? I mind my manners.
Yes, I do. I brush my hair back and keep it in place. I wash my
hands and scrub clean my face. I brush my teeth so they're shiny
and white. I floss before I sleep every single night. I keep the
things in my room looking nice and neat. I make my own bed and just
clean the sheets. I hang my clothes and fold my socks in a
ball. I put my books away and never write on the wall.
And then the last section is on praying and supplicating so how we
pray to all of us about how we stand for prayer and make dua. I
am a Muslim. I say that truth. I mind my manners. Yes, I do. I make
fresh mobile and then say my thoughts. I lay my prayer mat out
and standing cause I face the fibula and say Allah is great. I
don't move around and keep my body straight. I bow and rise as my I
stay past down. I press my format gently on to the ground. I save
Santa Fe slept in right? I love praying to Allah. Day and night. I
am a Muslim. I say the truth. I love my deen and so should you.
So that is the last section.
Now, why did I write this book because I'm a mother. And I'm also
a teacher. So I know that, that that is something difficult to
teach as a, you know, subject to constantly try to teach this to
your kids. It's difficult. But if you know children, you know that
they love writing, and you know that they love cartoony pictures.
So I decided, You know what, let's take this very important subject
that we all need to be reminded of not just children, because Adam is
something all of us even adults have to constantly be learning and
put something together. And one thing that's, I think very special
about the books, in addition to the right is the last section. So
if you haven't seen
the book yet, we didn't go to the very last Oh, you are okay. So in
the last section, you have the related Hadith for parents and
educators because every single line in this Ryan is based on a
sound tradition of the focus on a lot it was set up every single
life. So you can actually teach this even to older kids to to
really establish you know, just again, the culture of a Deb in
your home, to let them know how to behave in the best way possible to
to emulate the promise of a similar audience and him because
he is again, the perfect teacher he is his the embodiment of good
other than character. So every Hadith here that you see is
related to the lines of the rhyme and they're all sectioned off. So
we go through every section you have the Hadith that correlate
with those rights, so I hope Inshallah, that you will benefit
from this in your hands or if you're a Sunday school teacher or
an Islamic school teacher that this is something that you can
incorporate in your curriculum at school. And inshallah if you have
any questions, I'm happy to take them now. Are any comments, any
feedback? I'd love to hear from you
today
thank you.
So any questions or comments or anything from anybody? I'm happy
to answer. Now's the time.
Yes.
You know, I considered it I think as our first friend we went with a
soft, but if I get enough requests for it, absolutely. I can make it.
Yes. And Shabwa. Yes. Did you have a question?
As I say that again.
So
I think I hope so I think I should they're outside. I think we should
have if everybody wants one we should be able to accommodate from
Shawa.
Please meet me out there. I can say anything if you want in
any other questions. If not, we can go ahead and make our way
through if you're interested in Thank you
