So we, left off,
we left off
with
Allah refuting the
speech of Abu Jahl, but there are many
Abu Jahl type people
in every age
that will say and they'll say it flippantly
because they really don't care. But they'll say,
yeah, Allah or they'll say, yeah, they'll say
to the other people that if Allah wanted
to feed the poor, he would have fed
them himself.
And
Abu Jha literally said, Abu Bakr Sadiq
when he responded to that, he says, no,
Allah tested
people with different things. He tested the poor
with their poverty and the rich with their
with their abundance, and he commanded the poor
to be patient, and he commanded the rich
to spend on them.
He said, oh, you're a misguided person. And
Allah responded,
Either this can be Allah chastising them or
this can be Allah just
reporting what they said,
and both are true at the same time.
Then Allah
tells
us
that they don't
they don't
see,
they don't see anything or they won't see
anything except for,
one shout.
So we remember the expression of the
is,
is what?
Is used for the the destruction of the
people of the Antakya
that they
Allah Ta'ala said, I didn't even send an
army to destroy them. I didn't send angels.
It's a one shout, and they're they're all
gone.
So they don't see that that's coming over
the horizon while they're making their stupid arguments.
It will take them, meaning it will kill
them,
it will destroy them.
This word is
it's a it's a interesting word.
Essentially, what it is is
but the
the
Right?
Because,
it would be
if it was Takhsim.
But this is a this is a a
form of Sarf. If you read Sarf properly,
Sarf is your friend. People should read Sarf.
People should learn Sarf. Don't be afraid of
it. It makes a lot of sense
even though it's overwhelming. The forms are overwhelming,
but it's like a gift that keeps keeps
on giving. So
but the
the the the the the the the
that's why the has a It's
and the the Ta'a and the Sad are
are mudram. They're elided 1 into the other.
So it just becomes shut down the Sad
instead of the Tasak and the Saab al
Harrah.
So it's Yakhisimun,
in the qira'a of Kufa,
and it's
Yachas Simun in the in Warsh,
and it's actually Yachas Simun with, like it's
a it's a it's a it's a
it's
a one of the special exceptional words, qalun,
the other narration of Medina.
But they're they're all just different ways of
pronouncing
this this i'thulam of the time, the the
for
for of iakhtasim. Iakhtasim
means what? For people to, like, debate or
to, like, argument with one one another.
To argue argue with one another,
with one another.
So this is actually
had nothing to do with this here, but
funny thing, slightly tangentially related,
ever so slightly, that one of the ways
of, you know, like telling someone off in
Punjabi,
You go eat your disputant. If you have
such an argument, go eat your disputant. Right?
And kasma is actually khasam. Khasam means disputing
in Arabic. One of the one of the
meanings of it in Punjabi is your husband.
So I'll let the brothers
and sisters
deal with that in a marriage workshop.
So so that that they're gonna be arguing
back and forth about what the why a
lot shows some people to be poor and
some people to rich and why I should
have to not pay anything or whatever. They're
gonna be wasting their time in such arguments
when the shout happens. It'll take them. They
won't even know.
And, the
the he brings hadith of the prophet,
which speaks of how eerily normal
the qiyama is going to be. He says,
that, you you rather mind just moving more
to the you can sit against the wall
too, but it's kinda awkward you're all sitting
on one side. So is that the the
the is not gonna happen
except for what? You'll see things like 2
people are buying and selling, so someone will
spread out his cloth to buy and sell.
And,
they'll just it'll start and they'll be conducting
their transaction, and they'll finish the transaction and
it's all over.
And the hadith continues
that a man is gonna feed his his,
or give water to drink for his to
his livestock
while he's watering them, the qiyamah will start.
And when it's done, it's done. Like, not
just the the the giving water, but the
entire dunya will be done. And he says,
that a person will be weighing something, like,
you know, just selling a transaction.
And, he won't you know, he'll the this
is the will be going on. And when
he pulls his his waist distings and pulls
them off the scale, then it'll all be
over. This is
This
is a
mistaken takkim
saa, that a person will literally be, like,
they'll be eating when the when the
starts.
They'll be lifting a morsel of food to
their mouth, and by the time they're done
swallowing, the entire world will be done. Meaning
what?
These people these people will be arguing about
stuff, which is their habit. That's all they
do is just argue about Dean. People who
all they do is argue about Dean. You
never seen them praying, shedding a tear,
making sacrifice, none of that. Everyone argues.
You know, people are serious about being argue
about things as well. What's the difference? Some
people, the only thing they do is just
argue about it. That's their habit. They're gonna
keep doing it.
Will happen, and it will catch them while
they're arguing about it.
They're not they're just gonna be wasting their
time doing these things. They're not gonna be,
distracted from them long enough to even be
able to,
to be able to make a bequest to
their families
nor will they or bequest to their inheritors
nor will they be able to return to
their families.
Meaning
what? They're not gonna be paying attention and
it will happen so fast.
So they're just gonna be this is gonna
be business as you will. A person thinks
when Qiyamah starts, then I'm gonna straighten out.
I'm gonna this. I'm gonna that. When death
is about to come, I'm gonna do everyone's
gonna be taken by 1 of the 2
while they're doing what they were doing for
the rest of their life.
This is one of the reasons that zikr
is good. It's good to be in zikr.
Right? A person who wants their last words
to be La ilaha illallah, they should practice
while they're alive.
So that, hopefully that's gonna be counted with
Allah as what they were doing and they'll
be taken in that state.
The trumpet will be blown,
and they will be they will come shuffling
from their graves.
So this is
the hadith that
the the hadith that's narrated with regards to
the the trumpet that Allah has is an
angel,
whose
task will be to blow the trumpet, it
will destroy everything.
It's not like the trumpet that's made by
Yamaha that you
learn how to play in the middle school
band. The first scale you learned was the
b flat scale.
You know, it's not that. It's something different.
And Allah knows best to hapilhal these things
are. They're again words used to describe those
things that there's no words for.
But,
but the trumpet will be blown. The hadith
of the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam narrated,
by
So the the the the trumpet the trumpet
will be blown
twice
in the first blowing of the trumpet.
Allah will put to death every living thing,
which indicates even the one blowing the trumpet
himself will be destroyed and all Allah will
know his best. It's an inference on my
part, but
that's what it would seem to indicate every
living thing will be destroyed.
And then 40 years will pass in which
nothing is there except for Allah Ta'ala
As a Dalil so that we can understand
that Allah's existence is the only,
the only true and permanent existence. Everybody else's
existence is contingent.
And then, then the Israfil will be called
forth, will be resurrected
and told to blow on the trumpet again.
And,
the second time when he's when he blows
the trumpet, every dead thing will be caused
to come to life.
So it's interesting. Right?
Every living thing will be killed, but that's
a different group than every dead thing that
comes to life. The second group is even
bigger than the first because there's some stuff
that's been dead like from non trumpet issues.
Right?
So all of them will all of them
will be will become. Allah says
that after after the the they're destroyed
that then it will be
the horn will be blown or the trumpet
will be blown. You know why they call
it a horn?
Because back in the day, you used to
literally be a horn. Have you have you
been to, like, the interfaith, like, interfaith thing
where they blow the sha fire? It's actually
they hollow out a horn and they blow
it. And, like, man, those the the dudes
in the synagogue, man, they got a good
set of lungs. They compete with each other.
So how long you can blow they can
they blow that thing really long.
So that's why they call it trumpet hornets
because it used to originally be made out
of horns. Although they're now made out of,
like, brass and whatever.
That the,
it the the horn will be blown,
and then you'll see so this refers to
which horn?
The second one. The first one will destroy
everyone. They say how Wahida killed off these
jokers from before they even got to that
that first horn. Right?
There that you'll see them you'll see them
when the horn is blown, that they'll come
from their graves,
shuffling. Right?
Nasilan is a type of walking. It's walking
fast with short steps,
which which is the, the description of the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam's walk. He used
to walk very quickly and short he would
take a number of rapid steps, short steps
rapidly,
as if he was
walking downhill all the time. Like, if you're
going down the side of a mountain, you're
not gonna take leaps. Why? Because you're not
gonna be able to control yourself.
But you just take short steps to control
yourself, to save yourself from falling, but they're
really quick because gravity does all the work
for you.
But nasiylan is like that, is to walk
quickly with short steps.
That all of them will be will be
shuffling, quickly toward
toward their judgment.
So
just say what a curse may may we
be cursed,
who
caused us to rise from our sleep.
So this Markadina in in in in hafs
is the sakta on the noon, you read
it as like as if it's a fatha
in Markadina,
not like a full alif, but that's not
that's not there in the,
in in in wars.
This is the thing that, Allah promised us
the most merciful
and, the the the prophets and messengers were
telling the truth.
It will be
it will be nothing but just a nothing
but a shout,
and then all of them will be
all of them will be caused
to be present,
with us, meaning
On this day, no will be no will
be,
wronged or transgressed
in the slightest,
and you will not be, you will not
be recompensed except for by that which you
you you did during life. And in order
to understand this ayah properly, a person has
to remember
that Allah
he
he created the creation from nothing.
So the meaning of this is not like
the kind of, entitled,
entitled, like, you know,
like ratty middle school kid, suburban middle school
kid, like, I deserve this, I deserve that
relationship with Allah. It means what? He said
he can do whatever he wants to, none
of it is.
He created you from nothing. Just said Hafiz
Moshtaba brought this
Dunkin' Donuts
green tea. If he wanted to, he could
pour it out in the snow. If he
wanted to, he could have drank it himself.
If he wanted to, he could have shared
with us. He do whatever he wants. It's
his. He can do whatever he likes with
it. He can throw it in the garbage.
He can do whatever he wants with it
because it's his.
Well, Allah
created the entire heavens and earth and every
human, every
jinn, every angel from nothing. He can do
whatever he wants with them. That day nobody
has can protest and say this is unfair.
This is this is the meaning of it.
And being bratty about it is not gonna
change that reality.
Making understanding it and making peace with it
is going to help a person to ask
Allah the way that he should be asked,
in order to be shown mercy on that
day. And whoever asks will receive it. Whoever
doesn't ask, that's the loser.
The
people of Jannah on that day,
they will be
consumed with,
consumed with,
with, like, busyness.
They'll be busy on that day,
and,
they'll be happy
in their busyness.
So so the mufasilin talk about all the
things that people will do will be their
time will be consumed within Jannah, the enjoyments
that they'll have, that they'll meet they'll meet
one another. A person will say,
Imam Ghazali sounds like he was probably a
cool guy.
I never learned Arabic nor did I bother
reading any of his books, but I retweeted
him at least like a 1000 times while
I was alive.
Right? Or, like, something that some someone told
me, whatever, like, you know. That's
what it is. Right? It's like, don't believe
everything you read on the Internet,
Rumi, you know, like, okay. Yeah. Who knows
if half the tweets are correct or not?
Nobody knows Farsi anymore either. So literally people
just make stuff up and then they they
tweet tweet it as a roomy tweet, you
know. Anyway, it has nothing to do with
what we're talking about right now, so we're
gonna move on. But the point is this
is that they'll be meeting 1 another person's
like, oh, you know,
I retweeted Imam Khazali at least 500 times
in my in the dunya. So he must
be an interesting guy. Let's go meet him.
The people of Jannah will be busy meeting
one another and they'll be busy enjoying
Jannah.
And there'll be
they'll be, in Surur, they'll be in happiness,
on that day. And this is also important
because people talk about death and they talk
about the akhirah as if it's gonna be
completely horrible. It's only gonna be completely horrible
if you're a total capper.
If, if you believed in Allah and you
tried your best,
and, you know, even if you didn't do
so well.
But even if you didn't do so well,
but at least you asked for forgiveness,
then
is gonna be a good day.
It's going to be a good day and
people will will will be
will be from those
people who are that we're we're,
in the state of of happiness.
Na'i Mon in the state of,
of of nirma, of blessing.
What is fakihah?
The meaning of the word fakihah here linguistically
is what
is to joke. Right? You know, they they
distinguish in English, between laughing at someone, laughing
with someone.
Miza is the laughing with people,
And isteza is laughing at somebody
to to to enjoy yourself at someone else's
expense. Mizah is not that. Mizah is when
you sit together and someone says something and
everybody enjoys.
And good speech.
People will enjoy one another's company.
This is one of the weird things. Right?
The,
like, condition of people as individualism,
everybody is, like, just they spend their time
alone now. You know? It's one thing if
you're, like,
some super, like, zicker, like, zickered out hardcore,
like,
level 7 black belt, like, Sufi to the
max guy who's Allah Allah, then you're not
alone, then you're with Allah
Allah. Right?
But,
most people are not like that now. People
just wanna sit alone and, like, they're talking
to someone. When you're talking to someone, turn
off their,
chat red notification
so you can ghost out of your conversation
anytime you want to because nobody knows whether
you saw it or not. Like that ajeev
type of loneliness, this is far from the
kefirah of being a person of Jannah.
And this my friends is the answer to
the question, why do you have couches in
in the in in riba?
Many people objected, why did we buy couches?
Remember we went couch shopping, it was fun.
Right? Many people object. It's the hope that
at least the brothers will sit together.
There's one of the as
well. There's some khair in it. Obviously, you
shouldn't sit and chit chat the whole time
and like ignore your job and your family
and things like that. But this is also
one of the kefiyat and the enjoyments of
Jannah,
and enjoying is not a bad thing.
Enjoying bad things is a bad thing.
So if you're like, you know, if you
enjoy like torturing small animals or whatever, you
have a problem.
But, these are things that a normal person
will enjoy and they remember a person who
enjoys them in this world, it will give
them,
remembrance of the akhilah, the akhilah. It's actually
part of your deen as well.
Having a good, having a good companion is
it comes in handy.
Good companion is like, is like
a perfumer.
Maybe he'll give you some as a gift,
or maybe
you can at least buy some if you
want from him, or at least you'll smell
it from him. You know, whenever you go
to at least you'll smell good whenever you
meet him. There's some Khayd that comes from
it.
And there's so many
examples of that. I met a brother, I
kid you not,
I met a brother, convert brother.
He said,
I asked him I didn't ask him because
I usually cook. Usually, converts everyone ask him,
like, how did you become a son? They
get annoyed with it. So I usually, like,
will avoid it to the point where it
becomes awkward. They're like, aren't you gonna ask?
And I'm like, no. And, like, okay. I'll
tell you. And he said, I didn't ask.
No. No. No. Okay. Okay. And so they'll
tell me. So his brother told me about
how how he became a Muslim is, he
he said that I used to smoke weed
with some Muslims.
And once when we were high, he had
a a must haf in his room, and,
you know, he said I wasn't, like, messing
around with, like, stuff sitting around his room.
Right? So I picked up the most. He
said, no. No. No. No. You can't. Don't
don't mess around with that. Even when they're
all high, you can't mess with that. That's
our whole new book. That's special. You can't
mess around with something else.
Is it that much, like, you know, later
on, years later, he's like, you know, I
wondered, like, there must be something special there.
Why is it that he was, like, so,
like,
quick to, like, say don't mess with that,
you know. So he read the Quran and
be Muslim.
Right? So having good company is good,
and no one's gonna smoke weed weed in
the rebab, not not while I'm alive or,
like, present. Right?
So,
so it can only get better from there.
You know what I mean?
So people people this is this is wrong
also that people make the sound like it's
gonna be horrible. It'll be horrible if you're
a horrible person.
If you tried your best, even if you're
a horrible person or you felt bad about
it, it's a relatively low bar of, like,
expectation, isn't it? They'll be saying in it
for for for for those people. He should
people should remember that. That shouldn't you shouldn't
be afraid of death. Nobody likes to die,
like, the physical process of, like, being sick
and things like that, that's fine to not
to like that. But the idea that on
the other side of this life, you meet
Allah and you'll be that's that's that's like
relatively good. People should look forward to that.
People should like
that part. They should be they should be
chill with that part. They should be at
peace with it.
They will they will,
they will be they will have fruit,
and they'll have whatever they ask for.
Here isn't the thing that they that they
ask for, that they call out for, or
they ask Allah for. Everything they ask him
for, they'll they'll they'll get.
And peace.
Will be the the the word
from
a merciful Lord.
That on the day of judgment,
the people will be,
and then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
himself,
his sacred presence, the veil of his presence
will be lifted from them.
And,
like the sun rises
and floods the all sides of the horizon
with light, and it turns night into day,
Like that, they'll feel the the the barakat,
of Allah's presence,
and they'll stand there for, like, 1,000 of
years. Nothing will distract them.
And they'll just hear, listen to the What
does it mean when Allah says salam to
you? Obviously, again, these are words that are
describing those things that there are not words
to describe,
but
they'll
be enraptured by it. And then Allah Ta'ala
will tell them to
go back to their enjoyment in Jannah
and he will
close
the veil again so that they can see,
they can be aware of anything else existing
in that time.
But they will still feel on them the
effect of the barakah and the blessings of
having communed with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala like
that. This is
the
highest this is the highest
of the pleasures of Jannah that a person
should have communion with the Lord.
And this day, the the
the criminals will be
the criminals will be separated.
The criminals will be separated. They'll be caused
to separate from the flock. And this is
this is something that happens when you have,
you know,
if a person is a thief, right, can
thieves build a society?
No. They're like a parasite that's that that
that lives on the body of the society.
They can't build anything themselves.
But when the society is healthy, they live
on it.
They mix into it, you can't tell who's
who, what's what.
That day Allah will separate them and put
them there, and their place. The Mujidimun here
are not just thieves, but they are,
they are the the people of
the the people of every crime, and the
highest crime is kufr,
the disbelief in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala or
worshiping other than him.
And so this he'll talk about this in
a subsequent ayah, so we'll come back to
it. And so Allah that
did I not give you the commandment?
Did I not give you the sincere advice
that,
Oh son of Adam not to worship Shaytan.
Not to worship Shaitan, meaning not to obey
him in his mischief, and his
poor advice,
because he is an open enemy for you.
And that you should have worshiped me.
This is the straight path.
He's already caused us to go astray.
What is Jibillah?
Jibillah is
the the essential nature, like Jibilatun with a
with a tamarbutah.
This is the essential nature of of everything,
every person, every creation.
And so Jibil with the with just a
shutdown the lamb,
The meaning here is,
a great amount of the creation,
A great amount of creation.
Don't you aren't you people that that use
your reason? That all the things Shaitan calls
toward,
Zina
and Fawahesh,
they destroy families.
When families are destroyed, society is destroyed. The
love of money,
the worship of pleasure, all of these things
you read the history of every civilization.
The people who built the civilization are the
people who were furthest from it, and the
people embrace these things. They're the ones that
are they're the ones that that civilization
falls at their hands. And we're right now
on the downward arc.
We're on the downward arc. You know, like,
investors, you know, like, investment, like, stock market
and things like that. We're the rich people,
the ones who buy low and sell high.
And then every other idiot comes afterward and
like, oh, look, Apple's good. I'm gonna buy
it after it's already, like, hit its peak
and it's it's gonna leave it's, you know,
it's hit its zenith and it's just gonna
go down.
Why? Because stupid people don't have any vision.
They just see what's there right now.
There are many signs that that the society
we live in has already hit its peak
and moved off. And I'm not saying this
out of any anticipation. If this society goes
down, we're going down with it. You understand
what I'm
saying?
So there's no benefit in it being ruined
for any of us. But these habits
of of of indecency,
of *,
of of the worship of pleasure, of the
worship of desire, not valuing life, not valuing
family, not valuing,
meaning, valuing material over meaning.
These are all the things that happened,
they happened in all the ancient civilizations.
The Roman Empire, as long as it was
true to its,
true to its old,
original form
its original values.
It was strong
and then they Hellenized,
they
adopted like Greek philosophy and Greek culture, and
they became soft,
and
they got ripped apart.
They got destroyed. People, you know, became more
more,
interested in bread and circuses. Right? What happens
is the whole the whole, population urbanizes.
I kid you not, the population urbanizes,
and in order to placate them, the
the warlords that rule over Rome will provide
them with free bread and with with circus
with so you go see gladiator fights and
things like that. So what ends up happening
in the Roman Empire is that there are
circus factions.
What? Circus factions.
And I forget. It's like they're like colors.
It's like red and blue or something like
that. I I I forget what it what
it was.
And these circus factions, literally, the way they
describe them, it's like democrat or republican.
Completely hate other, like, literally, they'll have mob
riots with one another, and they're exactly the
same.
There's no difference between them at all,
and and like they cause like a huge
amounts of civil unrest.
And this is
He's misguided from amongst you a great amount
of the creation.
Don't you understand?
This is the jahannam that you were promised,
so be roasted in it on this day,
because of what you because of your disbelief
that you used
to carry.
Allah says,
This is probably one of the most scary
of the ayat of the of the Quran.
That that, or sorry, of the Quran and
of the Surah,
that Allah says on this day, we will
seal
their mouths,
and their hands will speak to us, and
their feet will bear witness,
for those things that they used to earn.
So it comes in the hadith of the
prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
as narrated, in Sahih Muslim from Sayna Anas
bin Malik radiAllahu anhu.
So what happens is,
the Sayyidina Anas bin Malik radiAllahu anhu narrates
that, we were with the messenger of Allah
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, and so he laughed.
And so
he says, do you know what makes me
what makes me laugh?
We said Allah and his messenger Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam know best. He said,
from that that slave who will who will
address the Lord,
And he will say on the day of
judgment, you know, come with a real good
case, go real smart with Allah Ta'ala. He'll
say, oh my lord, did you not give
me safety
from from from oppression?
And he'll say, Yes, of course.
And,
he says,
well, indeed, I don't give permission,
for anybody to,
bear witness against me
except, except for,
except for myself. Meaning, I I don't I
don't consider it fair on this day that
anyone should speak about me except for myself.
I I don't consider I don't think that's
fair. And
so,
Allah says to him, he says, okay, great.
Says you're a sufficient
witness against yourself on this day. And the
the Kiramul Kati Bin, the noble angelic scribes
will just bear witness to what you what
you bore witness to. So Allah will seal
his mouth at that point,
and then,
it will be said to his limbs, speak.
And all of them will
spill the beans about all of his the
things they used to do. They'll they'll they'll
they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll
they'll they'll knock them out,
and he'll he'll curse his limbs,
and he'll say he'll say, how how how
did you why did you do that? It
was for your sake that I was trying
to I was trying to make my argument.
So I was trying to save you. We're
all going to the fire together. I was
trying to save you and look, you just
spilled the beans.
So the fact of the matter is Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
he knows all of these things. The day
that the fancy clothes, and fancy speech, and
sound edited, and video edited, and airbrushed,
pictures, and visuals are gone. The day when,
you know, all the fancy is
gone.
The fancy things we say about ourselves in
order to make ourselves feel better. I have
a I have a knuckle headed relative. Allah
give everyone Hidayah.
I have a knuckle headed relative once called
me and said, oh, can you find a
a husband for my daughter? I'm like, yeah,
I'll look. And I'm just thinking like, your
daughter is like
okay. So can you find that can you
find that can you find a husband for
my daughter? And and, I'm like, yeah, look.
And then, like, you know, whatever the conversation
goes on and it's over. So one more
thing, Hamza,
remember, you know, we're not conservative Muslims. We're
liberal Muslims. So, you know, don't find someone
who, like, you know, who's gonna want her
to wear hijab or this, that, and everything.
And I knew that. I knew that the
girl doesn't wear a hijab. You know, if
a girl doesn't wear a hijab, but she's
not supposed to get married. Right? If a
a guy for that matter, you know, has
a bad habit or whatever, it doesn't you're
still a human being. You still, you know,
like, go find somebody, you know. I know
I have common sense. I'm not gonna, like,
go and call up, like, you know, Ibn
Taymiyyah and say, hey, you wanna marry my
my cousin's daughter or whatever. Right?
Not not the old shift he's passed,
I'm talking about Iben Tamia Jenkins from Columbus,
Ohio.
But, I'm not gonna call him up and
be like, yeah, you know, I have a
I have a I have common sense. But
this thing really annoyed me that my cousin
would say, we're liberal Muslims. What is a
zukruf min alqawl?
It's like, oh, you know, like you said
something and it makes you feel better about
yourself,
even though there's no such thing as conservative
or liberal. It's Allah said it, if you
wanna obey, obey. If you don't wanna obey,
don't don't obey it. Right? Don't think that,
oh, now I said liberal, this now puts
me in some sort of acceptable category or
whatever. I'm liberal Muslim too at times, Allah
forgive me.
You know? So we should be very careful
about, like, how we how we fool ourselves.
Why? Because that day, that all of that
that fooling ourselves is all gonna end. It's
gonna evaporate.
And, and the reality is going to sink
in. And that's scary. Everybody knows when a
person makes dua, Allah ta'ala, you know,
Don't act like you're cool. Allah knows
who fears and who doesn't.
Allah knows.
So it's it's important to be real. And
part of that is to be real in
front of other people as well. That when
the whatever YouTube video of your life is
being played in front of other
people, and your mouth is sealed, and your
limbs are spilling the the beans about what
what, you know, what kind of antics and
nonsense people were up to. That,
the best course of action is just not
to be up to antics and nonsense.
That's difficult though. I've tried that before. It's
hard.
So and and nobody's successful a 100% of
the time after
the So a person should have a little
bit of humility where when they, you know,
walk out walk in front of people because
that's gonna look really bad, and it's gonna
make the punishment worse on that day. That's
why I feel really, really sorry. I think
it's pathetic when we have people who cannot
apologize.
People who cannot have humility
about anything. And it's funny because, like, it's
a real fit. Imagine if you have
you have no ability to be humble,
and,
you go on just being arrogant, jerking, like,
one day it makes you president, for example.
You know?
It's really it's really pathetic because that's that's
the stuff a person thinks that's the stuff
of their success, and it's literally the stuff
of their own destruction.
So don't worry, no one's gonna Allah's not
gonna ask any of you, were you president
of the United States? And you're like, no,
you're not being and he's gonna throw you
in the fire for that. That's not gonna
happen.
But this type of stuff people people are
gonna everyone is going to go through. Nobody's
going to escape from it. And so that
on on this day, this is one of
the the the the scariest
ayaf of the surah and of the Quran
indeed, that on that day we seal
their mouths and their hands will
speak to us and their,
feet will
bear witness,
to what what what they used to earn.
He says, if we want to,
we will blind them.
We'll strike their eyes,
and,
they will they will try to go down
the path, proceed down the path, but how
will they be able to? They can't see.
And this comes back to
this comes back to
dimension
from before,
in in the
that Allah will separate the
the the criminals
from the believers
on that day.
That this is 2 groups of people.
1 is the group of the kafar,
the people who disbelieved
in Allah, His Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
his prophets, because one who believes in one
of them believes in all of them. You
cannot say I, you know, I celebrate the
maulid of you say the Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam, but say the Musa, I don't
accept it. You you believe in 1, you
believe in all of them. And it goes
the other way around as well. The no
Nabi came from the time of sayna Adam
except for his people who are required to
believe in the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
that he's gonna come before the end of
time and with that their faith was complete.
So,
the Kufar will be resurrected blind anyway.
That,
that that
the resurrected blind anyway.
When it comes in the hadith of the
prophet
that the first
the first call that will happen after the
judgement is over is that the angels will
call yeah Muhammad Alaihi Salam. They'll call yeah
Muhammad and and his come across the
And then what will happen is that when
they approach the, all of them will be
together.
And the the righteous
and the the profligates, the people who are
Muslims, but they didn't really bother to follow
it. Tried you know, they didn't try very
hard.
So the
will be struck at that time that they're
they're they'll be blinded.
And,
because of that, how are they gonna be
able to cross the? How are they gonna
be able to cross the bridge that takes
them to Jannah?
And so they'll fall. And just like that,
then after that, the will be called 1
by 1.
And,
the righteous and the, the prophet get amongst
them, and the prophet gets amongst them, they're
they'll be they'll be they'll be blinded at
that time,
and they're not gonna be able to
how they're gonna be able to see they're
they're blinded. They're gonna be try to try
to go down that path, and they're not
gonna be able to to make it down
that path.
And so,
Allah says it's a threat, you know, to
the people who don't obey his his commandments.
And if if we wish to, we will
we would,
mask his like trans
transformation.
But, like, it's a punishment of Allah. That
mask is when Allah turns turn the person
into an inanimate object
or when allada turns a person into an
animal.
And so this is something that that happened,
in a different story,
that's similar to one that we mentioned yesterday.
That there were,
a group of people
from the Banmah Zoom who tried the who
tried
to,
that that as well as with a group
of cousins basically from Banu Maqasum.
They tried to to stone the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam,
and Allah blinded them. And,
they were unable to they were unable to
let go of the rocks from there,
from their hands. And Allah tells us, if
we wish to blind them if they can't
see where they're going. And if we wish
to, we'll we'll transform them
into some something that,
something that they're not as a punishment,
into stone or
into,
animal.
And, they're not going to they're not gonna
be able to,
proceed with whatever they wanted to do in
their life.
Come. The is,
is is is is a haps. Right? And
then the sorry. Is
haps and
is the
the, the tera of of
Medina. That whoever we give them,
whoever we we give them a long life,
we also will,
subject them to old age.
It's in in in in. Right? Do they
not understand or do you not understand
come, that you're gonna become old anyway. You're
not gonna be as powerful and as strong
and as as quick witted and all the
stuff that you are anyway in this world.
So why why why the arrogance?
And
And he says that,
we didn't send because this is again the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, one of the
allegations against him is that this is all
just poetry.
That we did not we did not,
teach him poetry Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
and it's not even befitting of him.
I apologize.
The Surah that that I maybe even read
every day sometimes,
that's the one that I'm gonna get stuck
on. Like, that's
like that's like the weird words that Hafiz
has gone. Like, it's the weird Hafiz curse
that, you know, the the fuzz always get
stuck on or, like, make a mistake on.
And it's like a hailstorm, like machine gun
fire of, like, uncles
sending their
corrections.
Ironically, many of which themselves are incorrect too.
So
what can you do?
So that we didn't teach him we didn't
teach him poetry and it it wouldn't have
be befitted him anyway.
It's nothing except for a reminder
and a clear Quran.
And, in in in in as
well.
In order for for for what? In order
for for him or in order for you
to warn the person who is alive, meaning
what the person whose heart is
alive. Because the person who is their heart
is dead, their description is
There it doesn't make a difference whether you
warn them or you don't warn them, they're
not gonna believe.
So here, doesn't mean it's not in the
literal meaning of it.
Although I guess in some sense it is
that that at least the prophet delivers the
warning, so he's not responsible for their misguidance.
But,
the functional effective benefit of the nidara
is is is is going to be only
achieved by the person whose heart is alive.
And so that it can be a a
proof and a hijab against the the the
people of the people of Kufr. And this
comes back to something we mentioned yesterday as
well, which is what? The Quran is not
a book of amulets, even though it actually
works as a book of amulets.
But that's not the main point.
It's not there in order for you to
have, like, some sort of semi religious entertainment
at the beginnings of and ends of weddings
and funerals. Although that's also
there.
It's not there for you to have, like,
a art form for calligraphy, although that's also
there. We're not being caught or disavowing that
that's not part of the deen or whatever.
What's the primary reason? It's not just, fancy
fancy words rather it is a remembrance and
it is a clear and clarifying Quran. It
makes it makes things clear,
so that you can warn anyone who is
alive.
Meaning what the central theme of the the
Surat Yaseen is that the prophet is
it's affirming his prophethood, and it's affirming that
his dua, his call, and his claim is
correct, and it's giving him courage to to
to to to do it and showing the
examples of the other people who did it
as well in the past, and how Allah
helped them and how they were right and
how people denied from them as well. That's
the that's like one of the main,
objectives of what you're gonna get from the
words of the the Quran. And so if
you're not getting that objective, but then afterward,
you're like, oh, look, my son's a Hafiz,
It's not going to become a doctor. Right?
Like, that's which is fine if your half
isn't a doctor. That's not haram or anything,
but, like, that's not the point of it.
It's like a milestone on your way to,
like, becoming,
something else. The point of it is that
you should learn what's inside of it and
then,
take that that message to the people and
and try to bring them toward it as
well.
