So the Hadith before

the Hadith we read before yesterday.

Hakim and Nesaburi,

he

narrated it in his

Musta Hajj,

he said that it's has a has a

correct and

uh-uh

trustworthy chain of narration

but Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim didn't narrate

it. And Imam Abdul Dhabi

who is an, a imam who comes much

later and who writes a kind of a

critical,

critical commentary on the Mustadar Qiyam Haqim.

He agrees, and he doesn't agree all of

the time.

So Ibn Ibn Ishaq, the famous Muaddith and,

Aleem of the Sira, the Sira of the

Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

The knowledge of the much of it returns

to him. And Abdullah bin Abbas

also they both narrated similar

narration,

about what's probably the same incident.

And so that they said,

oh, verily you have this position of honor

amongst us that you're aware of. And, you

have and, like, this thing that you know

about has come to you, meaning you're so

sick, you're probably gonna die now. And you

know it, we know it.

And, we're all very afraid for your life.

So call him call him to us. This,

nephew of yours.

You know the problem that we have with

your nephew. So call him to us

and,

you know, take something from him, argue on

our behalf, and take something from him for

us, and take from us something

for him, argue on his behalf with us,

so that we can stop having to deal

you know, have trouble with him, and he

can also hold his hand back from giving

trouble to us.

We we can stop giving trouble to him

and he can stop giving

trouble to us. So that we can he

can leave us alone and leave our deen

alone and we can leave him alone

and

leave

his alone. And so Sayna Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam's Abu Talib sent for him and so

he came to Abu Talib

Abu Talib then addressed his, nephew Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam. He says, these people are the noblemen

of your of your of your nation,

And all of them have gathered together to

take something to give something to you or

to take something from

So that what I want from you is

one word. If you give it, you will

be the master of the Arabs, and the,

the non Arabs will,

be lowered in front of you.

He says, Abu Jahl says, I swear by

your father, I'll give you 10. If you

all you want is one word, I'll give

you 10 words.

And leave all those things that you worship

other than Allah.

So they started they raised a ruckus. They

started clapping their hands,

and raised a ruckus. And then they said,

Oh, Muhammad, do you wish to make all

of these different gods into one god?

Indeed, your affair is something very strange.

And then some of the then they said

to one another,

they said this man is not gonna give

you anything that you want,

Uh-uh,

that you ask from him. So let's go

and just

move on with our lives and tell Allah

decides between us

who's who's going to, succeed.

Then they they scattered. They all went home.

Abu Talib says to his nephew, he says,

by Allah, oh my nephew,

I don't think you asked them something like

that was excessive. What you asked them was

something very simple.

This is something that all of us should

understand. The poll of la ilaha illallah, it's

not like someone's doing you a favor. It's

common sense, essentially.

There's nothing there's nothing, like, excessive about it.

It's something very natural.

Then the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he

became he became

motivated

when he heard his uncle say something positive

about Islam, that asking for

wasn't too much.

And then he said, it made him say,

what? Oh, my oh, my uncle.

Why don't you 2 also say it? Say

so that Allah will make it permissible for

me to intercede on your behalf on the

day of judgment.

So what happens is Abu Abu Abu Talib

refer replies to him. He says, oh my

nephew,

if it wasn't that I was afraid of

Quresh,

cursing you even more and cursing your our

clan even more,

after I die. And if I wasn't that

I was afraid that Paresh would say that

he didn't say it for any reason except

for he was afraid to die, I would

have say said it. And if I did

said it,

I did say it, I would have said

it just to make you happy.

And then he mentions the rest of the

hadith like was mentioned yesterday. And this is

another

couple of lessons. 1 is Allah ta'ala, he

reveals on the occasion of the prophet Sallallahu

Alaihi Wasallam's

grief at Abu Talib not accepting Islam

Verily, you do not guide who you wish,

rather Allah guides whoever he wants to, and

He has more knowledge about the ones He

guides.

It's not your decision or my decision. Some

people get too invested in these things. Your

job and my job is just to deliver

the message. The rest of it is Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Don't say he was a

good person. He should have been Muslim. Allah

is the one who decides who's a good

person, who's not. The good person is the

one who receives La ilaha illallah, and the

one who doesn't receive it, yomotiamah, that's the

person who's not a good person. Your opinion,

my opinion doesn't matter because nobody made us

a judge. The second thing is why did

Abu Talib not say La ilaha illallah?

Because he was afraid of what other people

would say about him. It was a type

of pride that he had that I don't

wanna look soft in front of other people.

Okay? This is the same arrogance which caused

Iblis

to not make sajdah in front of,

Sayna Adam alayhi salam when Allah commanded him

to. This is the same kibr, it's the

same arrogance that caused Abu Talib to leave

this life without saying La ilaha illallah. It

comes in a Sahih narration

that out of all of the people, because

of the help he gave to the prophet

and Nabi salallahu alayhi wasalam said out of

all of the people in Jahannam, he will

receive the lightest of punishments.

And what is his punishment is that he

will be made to wear shoes made out

of the fire, but the intensity of them

will even make his brain boil. And he

will think that he's the one who has

the worst punishment in all of jahannan

None of you will do more for Islam

than Abu Talib did, wallahi. None of you

will do more for Islam or more for

the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam than

Abu Talib did. So we should all take

a step back and be a little bit

humble and appreciate the fact that what we

receive is nothing but the the pure fable

of Allah, the pure grace of Allah. If

it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have had

it and it can still be taken away.

And we should always remember at that moment

that we feel arrogant, like we feel like

we're better than others or we're too good

to listen to somebody, to know that that's

the moment in which destinies are broken. And

that's the moment if a person can suppress

themselves, destinies are made as well. May Allah

give all of us the tawfiq not to

ruin

our our our dunya and our akhirah. And

may Allah give us the tawfiq of being

people called to Allah in the tradition of

the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

sallam.
