Haifaa Younis – Ready, Get set, GO! The best things I can do in the best ten days of DhulHijjah
AI: Summary ©
The cycle of Islamic events is designed to increase rewards and value, and the importance of doing deeds and being mindful of one's behavior is emphasized. The cycle is designed to increase success and importance, and individuals are encouraged to use words like "has been made" to indicate success. The importance of learning to read and practice the book of adkar, praying, fasting, and giving charity is emphasized, along with the importance of not hesitant to slaughter animals. The importance of accepting and embracing new opportunities is also emphasized.
AI: Summary ©
Tuesday,
It's our, weekly,
program. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala accept from
all of us. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
reward all of you, whoever is joining us
wherever you are, and may Allah Subhanu wa
Ta'ala put barakah in our time,
in our deeds, in our i'miya,
remind us of our imeya,
remind us of our intention and may Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala facilitate for us to do
the good deeds
You probably all of you know what we're
gonna talk about,
today.
You may wonder
where are we today
as a time,
as a month,
as
a Islamic calendar? Where are we? Today, we're
gonna be going to the last month of
the Islamic calendar, the lunar calendar, which is
called as probably
a good number of you know, Dhul Hijjah.
Dhul Hijjah.
It's the month of Al Hijjah, and it
is related to or it is named after
it's the month where the Hajj
is or the Hajj takes place.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala invite us all.
This Tuesday, what we're gonna talk about, which
again you have seen it and you probably
have received many messages, you've seen it on
social media, everybody is talking about these 10
days.
What is these 10 days? What's so special?
Why everyone
is talking about it? So I'm gonna take
you as much as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will put barakah in what is these days?
What is the virtues?
Why it is so special? What should we
do? What can we do? What Allah expects
from us to do? And what he will
reward us? Of course, in 1 hour I'm
not going to be able to cover everything,
however, I'll do my best to give you
as much as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala alone.
Taught Rasulullah
to teach us
about these days, and Rasulullah
said, and this hadith is narrated by Sayyidina
Abdullah Abda Abbas. Ma'amin Ayam,
there is no days,
no days.
And I need you when you when you
read
the the the hadith of Rasul alaihi sata
wasalam, I want you to feel it
and to feel exactly what he is saying.
Maamin ayan, no days.
You Allah,
360 days, 12 months, but nothing like these
days.
No days.
Good
deeds that is done during them
more beloved to Allah than these days.
Any good deed you do
other than these 12 days Allah loves it,
but he loves you and me to do
it in these days. 10 days
starting from
hour and a half from Maghrib, after Maghrib.
Maamin aya,
no days.
Alamalusalah,
the good deeds,
the good deeds, more beloved
to Allah
except these days. He said that for Rasul
alaihis salatu wasalam and then they
said
the 10 days. So the sahabah, the companions
were with him and says, what is jihadufi
sabi lillah?
Not even going out for jihad and jihad
in this hadith
going out for fighting,
which is the highest level because when we
go or anyone goes out for fighting, Allah
knows if they are coming back or not,
they are putting their life on stake.
They said not even going out for the
sake of Allah. He said not even going
out for the sake of Allah except
a man leaves for the sake of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for fighting
and he doesn't come back,
meaning he died
SubhanAllah,
unless
he left with his
and with his body, with his soul, and
with his money, and he did not come
back.
Anything else, and I want you to start
these 10 days with this feeling.
This is a huge opportunity
and it's only 10 days
that clearly
Allah chose them. SubhanAllah.
Out of the
360 days not including
even including Ramadan
and there's
a big debate
between the scholars about which one is better,
the last 10 days of Ramadan or these
10 days of the Hijjah.
And the scholars who are from the opinion
of the 10 days of the Hajj they
say Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala made an oath by
them.
It's not only Rasool Alaihi Wasala.
Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala in Suratul Fajr he made
an oath he said wal Fajr wal Fajr
walayali nash
by the Al Fajr, the Duan, walayalinaashr
and the 10 days
and the 10 nights and Sayyidina Abdullah ibn
Abbasi said these are the 10 days of
the hija
and then Rasool alaihis salatu wasalam came and
says no days
a human being does a good deed in
them
is virtuous
as virtuous as if he does it in
these 10 days.
So if I pray
yesterday,
Allah loves it. That's a beautiful deed. But
if I pray
tomorrow the same prayer, this is more beloved
to Allah.
SubhanAllah.
This is the first thing I want all
of us to feel that we are coming,
we are welcoming
an amazing opportunity
to increase
our rewards,
to increase
our value with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
to
make our scale heavier,
to please Allah more
and to get closer to Allah. Indeed,
doing deeds, most of it's some of us
do it routinely,
Some are extra and different will cover it,
but the whole idea it's different because they
are done in these 10 days. So the
first thing as we welcome these days, we
need to change the way I look, no
this is the first day of Dhul Hijjah,
the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, the day of
Arafah.
So the first thing is how we feel
them, how we look at them
because anytime
something, I look at it differently, I react
to it differently,
I value it differently,
I
make the most of it differently. So that's
number 1. Now number 2, in general,
any new month
that comes to us Arasool Alaihi Wasallam taught
us the hadith. Alhamdulillahi
rabbilahi we see it and we did see
it a lot in Ramadan, I haven't seen
it yet although it is a new month.
When Rasool alaihi wa sallam
used to look at the moon, the new
moon, they used to see it,
That's how they know the month,
came in by seeing it or by they
couldn't see then they say it's for sure
it's gonna be the next day.
Meaning the next day the moon will be
seen
and he used to look at it and
says Allahumma, ahillahu alayna bil amniwal iman. How
much we need this these days.
You Allah,
let this moon, meaning this time, this month,
brings to us. Uhi'lahu
Alayna
bring to us. Al Amwul Iman.
Safety
and faith
and how much we needed these days.
Safety and faith.
Another meaning of safety.
Safety
Islam. It's at times.
Faith and safety, safety and Islam.
And this part we definitely need it more
because of the 10 days.
Facilitate to us to do what You love
and what pleases You, You
You look at the moon, for anyone of
you living wherever you are, if you see
the moon say it, you look at it
and says Arubuuna wa Rubuk Allah,
your Lord and our Lord is Allah
Subhan'am.
So the first thing I welcome
these 10 days by the Duha,
by supplication.
1st is from the sunnah which is the
supplication of seeing the new moon.
Number 2 in Du'a,
and this you can use any Du'a you
want. You Allah, and I I use this
I use it as a as a person.
You Allah, facilitate to me
every good deed
in these 10 days.
Make it easy.
Make me love to do it.
Make me love to do it with excellence.
Accept from me.
Facilitate the hard, make it easy. You rabi
Amin. Use any word you want but turn
to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala sincerely
that you Allah,
this could be my last 10
days. It could be next year I will
not see these 10 days. How many you
know and I know
they are not with us?
I want these 10 days to be the
best
ever
as a habd, as a servant with Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala. Exactly the same way and a
lot of us look at Ramadan this way
especially the last 10 days but I'm not
sure how many of us look at
the 10 days of the Hijjah this way.
That's the first thing we need to change.
Number 2, and again, this sequence is not
by sequence, is is just when from my
study what I'm looking is they say it's
probably the best ways.
Number 2,
that you turn to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and you say you Allah and again
it's not exactly but the feeling,
I will not be able to do anything
unless you allow it and make it happen.
Keep saying it.
No change of affairs,
no strength except by Allah.
No one will change me from being lazy
to being so active except Allah.
No one will give me the strength to
fast
these long days with everything else, the routine,
the usual, except Allah.
And they always the scholars teach you and
me and they say
Leave
the fact or the thought that you think
you can do it, that you are strong
and Allah showed us so clearly
how powerless we are, how weak we are,
SubhanAllah, with COVID-nineteen
and everything happening around us.
So look at the moon,
make the dua of the new month,
make the dua that Allah facilitate and put
Barakah in everything we do in these coming
10 days. You Allah, it is not by
me, by my knowledge, by my strength, by
my resolve, by nothing,
by nothing. We are dust and going back
to dust.
By your strength, by your mercy, by your
love, you will make me the servant you
want me to be.
Number
the next one, I'm not going to put
numbers.
Atawba,
Repentance
and any and this is not specifically for
the 10 days of, the Hijjah.
Any time
that there is an opportunity
to do a good deed, a time, a
month, a place,
going for Hajj, going for Umrah,
and going to the Masjid anytime
there is an opportunity Allah facilitated
for you and me to do a good
deed I need first of all Tubu Illallahijaniyahalmu'minood
La'alla kontaflihu
Repent to Allah believers,
all of you so you may be successful.
At Tawba Nasuh.
And Atawba Nasuh what's Atawba repentance?
An Nasoha,
the real
sincere
repentance
that will remove
remove
everything before.
This is one of the most beautiful thing
about this deen, about Islam
that it always gives me opportunity
to go back to Allah.
I say this, we human beings
give up on people.
We have very short
not too much of patient,
short span of patient. We give up on
people easily, I'm done with her, I'm done
with him.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala doesn't say this, Subhan'a,
He always wants us back, we go far,
He pull us back and He give us
opportunities.
Repent to Allah.
Believers
repent to Allah and this hadith that I
always like to remind everybody before myself before
anyone
There's many narration of it, Allah is more
but happy,
Allah is happier actually if you want to
say it this way,
Allah is happier
when he sees
his servant you and me
going back to him
in tawba, in repentance
than
and he gives a parable of Rasool Alaihi
Wasallahu Wa Ta Wasall, then
anyone of you
who has his camel
and went to the desert
in a place there is nothing
and that camel he has all his provision
and then he take a nap
and he wake up and he see
the camel is gone
gone
and the camel has everything
and he's left alone in the middle of
nowhere.
I'm paraphrasing,
this is not exactly the wording but the
meaning.
And then he said
looked, looked, he couldn't find it, then he
said, that's it.
I'm going to sit and wait.
And then he sleep again and he wake
up and he see this the camel back
and look at the
the parable here, the camel is back
with the provision. He looks at the camel,
he jumps from happiness.
Out of happiness he makes a mistake and
he looks at the camel and he says
enter and he looks to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala, I'm sorry, looks to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala out of his joy and he says:
Enter Abdiya Anarbuq
You Allah, You are my slave A'hu Billahi
and I am your Lord. And Araswarihisat
wa salam commented akhtaamushildatilfarah,
he's so happy
and he made a mistake.
Allah is more Allah is happier
than this scenario I just shared with you.
He's way more happier than you and me
and Allah only knows what we did.
The fact I turned to him, that's what
tawba, tawba is you turn back to Allah,
he is way more happier
than this story, than this human being.
SubhanAllah, never give up,
never give up on yourself or anyone,
anyone
Yahdiemayashaa
Allah, guide whomsoever.
So here I am
today,
tonight in 1 hour or 2 in my
Maghrib Salah
and I'm going to say You Allah, Tuktulillayk,
I am back to You You Allah,
I am back to You.
This will open the door and then the
scholar says why do You always welcome
the
times
of
opportunities or you welcome opportunities of good deed
with Tawba because Tawba number 1 cleans everything,
like you clean your home and you're welcoming
a guest, cleans everything and it will help
you not to do more.
And it is an action that Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala loves and he's very happy about
it and he ordered us to do it.
Return to Allah.
That's number 2 or 3.
1
act that you may not see a lot
of people talks about it, and SubhanAllah, as
I was preparing for this, Allah Subhanu wa
Ta'ala made me see it
and that is clear your heart.
It's an act of worship,
When we talk about act of worship and
good deeds we think of the major ones
and they are,
but we also
forget other things that is as valuable if
not even more valuable and that's
the acts or the act of worship of
the heart,
my heart and yours.
And when I clear my heart
from any ill feeling,
anger,
jealousy,
any of the diseases of the heart against
anyone,
I am actually preparing my heart
welcoming the good deeds to come in it
and making my heart more capable of doing
the good deeds.
Clear the hearts, you probably have not heard
about this, but there is actually a hadith
of Rasool alaihi salatu wa salam about clearing
the heart, and he
servant. So he was a young man, he
was 10 years of age when his mother
took him to Rasul alaihi wa sallam and
said to him, You Rasul Allah, let him
serve in you, serve you.
What a servant, serving whom? SubhanAllah.
So he looked at him and says, You
Bunein, my dear son,
if you can
this is what we want to do in
this 10 days.
If you can in the morning
and in the evening,
in the morning when you wake up and
in the evening and as you go to
bed,
your heart has no rish, no deception,
no ill feeling, no hatred
to anyone,
do it. That's what he's telling him, do
it. And then
he commented and he said
This is my sunnah, this is my path
that he alaihis salatu wasalaam
woke up in the morning and his heart
has
nothing against anyone and how many people hurt
him? Or how many people deceived him or
how many people plot against him but
this is his sunnah. So he was telling
him,
and this is my Sunnah
Whosoever and he said when you do this,
when you clear your hearts in the morning,
in the evening, nothing in your heart against
any human being, you actually have resuscitate,
revived my sunnah
and whomsoever
revive,
resuscitate
my Sunnah, his Sunna Alaihis salatu wasalam. Fakad
Ahab Bani, he loved me. That's a sign
of love.
We all say we love Rasool alaihis salatu
wa salam, then we're gonna say show us.
I'll say to myself you say you love
Rasool alaihis salatu wa salam? Show me. And
what do I show? What do I do?
Ahiya Sunnati Rasoolta take the Sunna of Rasool
Allah SWA.
And one of the sunnah is related to
these
days, and one of them is clear the
heart.
Welcome these days with a clear heart. Don't
think of anyone. They did, do he did,
do she did, do they said. Don't do
that.
Don't do that. These are the best days
to do good deeds.
The best days to do good deeds.
Revive my sunnah, He loves
me. And whomsoever
loves me, He is with me in Jannah.
And my question will be do you wanna
be with Rasul alaihis salatu wa salam in
Jannah? Who will say no?
Who will say no? Of course, yes.
And this is actually the next good deed
and I'm gonna share related to this hadith,
SubhanAllah.
Salah, and I'm sure everyone
is thinking about it.
And to talk about salah itself we will
need a whole program but I'm going to
take just a few of good deeds just
to resuscitate them.
A salah is an obligation, we have no
doubt about that
and in these days
I am gonna
look at my salah
as not only as an obligation,
not only because if I don't do it
Allah will ask me and I will be
punished,
not that only. We're going to move,
we're gonna look at our salah.
Where am I today?
Can I improve it? Can I improve it?
Can I improve it?
And I'll share with you this hadith
and then you will see how you will
look at the salah.
Thawban who is who is the one of
the servants of Rasul 'ala salaam,
he advised me.
He was saying Rasulullah Salaam
advised me
and he said
Make sure
do your best
to do
plenty
of sujood
and he didn't say salah
plenty of sujood,
that's a figure of speech referring to salah.
Bi kathra, plenty,
not long, subhanAllah,
plenty meaning pray more,
do a lot.
Why?
Look at this one.
You will not
prostrate to Allah
but
Allah will elevate your station,
one station
and
and He will lift or remove
by the sajdah
one sin.
Let's say it one more time.
That's the good deed I am gonna do
in these 10 days.
These are the best 10 days, the best
days I do a good deed. So what
good deed I am gonna do? One of
the ones I am gonna do plenty of
sajdah,
So I am not gonna be doing only
the 5 salah and I am hamdullilah.
Al hamdullilah,
but these are the best 10 days.
These are the days Allah loves us to
do good deeds, let's do more,
let's do more and
more is sujood,
more is more salah.
Every sajda, this is how you talk to
yourself, I talk to myself to do it.
Every time I go for sujood
I need to remember this.
He said Alaihisaat wa sallam, Alaykabikathati
sujood
prostrate plenty,
do more.
Everyone,
everyone I do because I'm going lower Allah
will elevate my station
and He will remove
a
sin. How many sins we have
and how many stations we need to go
up
by prostrating,
practical.
If you are still struggling with the 5,
again everybody is different, we all have our
struggles
in different ways.
You're still struggling
to do 5,
ask Allah as the dua I started with
to make you to give you the resolve,
to make it easy to do the 5
on time,
within the time.
I already do the 5 on time, Alhamdulillah.
Let me make sure I do the sunnah
and mu'akkadah,
be stressed the one that he did all
the time, 2 before Fajr, 4 or 2
before Duhr, 2 or 4 after Duhr, 2
after Marub, 2 after Aisha, and then winter
before you go to bed.
Dayamulayl,
night prayer,
even 1 bukha
after Isha,
after Isha. Night is too short, I'm not
sure I'm going to wake up before Fajr,
you do your Isha,
you do your 2 rukahat extra, 1 water.
2 more, that's even better.
The honor of the believer, that's another hadith
of Rasulullah Sa'at Ursula, the honor of the
believer,
the night prayer.
Put banners, this is why we are putting
banners here and that's why Insha'Allah we'll share
with you the planner.
Put banner or reminder, send yourself a reminder,
because you want to know what I'm gonna
get out of it.
So
du'a,
tawba,
supplication,
repentance to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala,
salah,
plenty, alduha,
don't forget this 1,
2 or 4 or 6 or 8, it's
your charity, the charity of every bone of
my body
is the Dua.
Dua is actually a sunrise after sunrise
which starts about half an hour after sunrise
till the middle of the day,
salah.
Next,
fasting.
Fasting
in these 10 days
you have options,
you have the must meaning
try your best to do it if you
can again
especially these days in the summer,
if I can.
There is minimum,
there is average, there is the best.
Before I get to this, the most one
of the most beloved deeds to Allah Subhanu
wa Ta'ala in general is fasting.
Fasting
is for me Allah saying this hadith Qudsi
it's a holy hadith
saying of Rasool Allah SWA, he said fasting
is for me
and I reward by it or I reward
for it, Fasting is for me
and I reward
for it.
So what's fasting?
And this narrated by Abu Dawood,
she said
or some of his wives, they said,
He fast the 9 days of Dhul Hajj,
the 9 days of Dhul Hajj,
and he used to fast the day of
Ashura,
the 10th days of Muharram,
and he used to fast 3 days of
the month and Monday Thursday.
So the 10 days of the Hijjah, that's
the best,
not the day of Eid,
not the 10th day. The fasting of the
10th day actually is haram.
There is no different opinion.
The 2 days of Eid, we are not
supposed to fast whatsoever
at all. Haram actually,
the scholars use that word. So the best
fasting, the whole 10 days.
If any of the of you who are
with me today in the program, you are
in the part of the world where the
days are very short, not like us in
the summer, definitely do it. It's much
easier. Here it's not easy for us, it's
about 16
18 hours,
it's about 14 it's about 16 hours fasting.
So the best is the 9 days.
They must
you do your best unless you really cannot
is the day of Arafa,
the 9th day
because there is a hadith about it. And
Rasul alaihis salatu wasalam said,
This is by Imam Muslim. Rasool alaihi sata
wasalam said, Fasting the day of Arafah,
fasting the day of Arafah,
I
look at Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for the
following reward:
Remove the sins
of the last year
and the sins of the year to come
by fasting one day,
the day of Arafah.
So
It's all good deeds,
I look for the best
if I can. Allah knows if I can,
I can do it? So if the woman
is during her monthly period, Alhamdulillah,
Allah knows if you can, you would have
done it. Somebody who fell ill,
somebody who's working very hard, long hours is
very difficult, alhamdulillah.
A woman is pregnant, it's very difficult for
her, alhamdulillah.
But for
any other person who's Alhamdulillah
healthy,
no obstacles
against fasting,
take the opportunity.
Especially the day of Arafah.
The day of Arafah.
One of the landmarks
of a good deed in these 10 days,
specifically
for these 10 days, there's actually 3
3 landmarks if I want to call it.
One of them is of course Al Hajjwal
Umar.
Absolutely, and may Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala invite
us.
Can I do something equal to it?
Can I do something equal to it and
I did not leave my home?
The answer is yes.
SubhanAllah.
Whomsoever
prayed
fajr,
the morning prayer, in Jama'ah in congregation.
So these days in your home,
then he stayed
after the salah remembering Allah
in dhikr,
remembering Allah, asking Allah for forgiveness, reading Quran.
Still sunrise,
still the sunrise.
Then he stood up.
What is the reward?
SubhanAllah.
He or she will get the reward of
Hajj and Umrah and in another narration,
complete complete
complete.
So I can't go,
not my choice,
not your choice.
Can I get the reward of it? Yes.
Pray
in jama'a in the house, we not we
we and a lot of us cannot even
go to the masjid. Alhamdulillah, it's in jama'a.
You live alone, there is nobody you can
pray with. Allah knows if you had a
Jama'ah, he he he will reward you. Allah
is Kareem, Allah is generous.
Do it. But the main thing is after
the salah,
sit in your place
and be in remembrance of Allah.
Read Quran. Review Quran.
Improve your reading.
Read athkar the morning and the evening a
lot of Istighfar.
Keep doing it. Move your phone, turn it
off.
A huge distraction.
Turn sunrise.
Yani, it's usually usually it's hour and a
half
from the time Fajr comes in till the
time you stand up just to play these
turqaat is hour and a half.
So pray your sunnah of the fajr,
prolonged your fajr salah, then sit, do your
adkar. Have the book of adkar if you
don't if you don't know it by heart.
Have a book, have a piece, a sheet,
and say it, say it with feelings,
Astaghfirullah,
ask Allah, think the days you are in,
Read Quran,
stand up,
to Ruqa'at, you went to Makkadid Hajj and
Umrah.
This is special. These 10 days, Hajj and
Umrah, 1. Number 2,
There's a hadith about them. Let's translate.
Al Iqhar,
plenty of tahli,
tahmid,
takbir. Tahli meaning it's
a word, a term used when you say
plenty
Alhamdulillah.
Saying Alhamdulillah. Saying Alhamdulillah. Saying Allahu
Akbar, and there is a hadith about that.
Look at this.
And this is in general about dhikr of
Allah. So you're sitting after
Hajr remembering Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, you're in
a state of dhikr. Say this specifically,
you're a state of dhikr. Look at this
beautiful hadith.
Companions
came to Rasulullah
and they said, you Rasulullah
Alaihi Salaatu wassalam.
The
The men
with wealth
took all the rewards.
They pray like we pray,
they fast like we fast,
but they give in charity, we don't have
it to give in charity. So what should
we do?
Look look at the question.
SubhanAllah, may Allah give us their hearts, You
Rabbi Ani. So they said, You Rasool Allah,
the rich people
took all the rewards. We pray, they pray.
We fast, they fast, but they have money
and they give for charity. And he said,
he said,
don't you know and I'm just paraphrasing,
don't you know that Allah
had given you a way
to do charity?
Meaning you can do charity without having money.
And they said, Truly?
Really? How do we do that You Rasoolah?
He said, Every Taswihah
saying SubhanAllah
is a charity
and every takbira you say Allahu Akbar is
a charity
and every tahmedah you say Alhamdulillah
is a charity.
Dik remembering
Allah and charity
2 in 1.
Plenty, Al Iqhar. This is the whole idea.
Plenty. Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Alhamdulillah.
SubhanAllah.
Repeated.
And so in this same hadith,
the rich people, the wealthy people heard this
hadith, though so they start doing this also.
So the 2 people came to Rasool'i insati
wasalam and said you Rasool Allah,
they are doing it also.
SubhanAllah. So they are praying, they're fasting,
they're giving in charity money and now they
are also doing a dhikr.
So now we are still less and alaihis
salatu wasalam responded and says, This
is the blessings of Allah, He give it
to whom He wills,
meaning
that's Allah's
how He wanted things to do
to be, Subhanah.
So a lot of Dikr and these Ayam,
these days, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala mentioned them
in the Quran in Surat Al Baqarah in
the cow
and he
said
Remember
Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala in
accounted or well known days
and these are the days of Dhul Hijjah
and here specifically the day of AIDS.
And also in Suratul Hajj Allah said,
Allah is okay about Hajj, they go to
Hajj so they see a lot of benefits
for them and to remember Allah,
to remember Allah, to speak
to say
the words, the remembrance of Allah in specific
days, these are the specific days. So
it's
counted days, the 10 days the scholar says
it's the days 10 and Al Ma'adudat is
the days of Laid
if you especially when
and normally when people are in Mina and
Hajj is these are the days of Dhikr.
So one of the best deed
best deeds and cost nothing,
That's why the people with no money came
to him and says what do we do?
Is keep remembering
Allah.
Let's use this tongue that Allah gave us
as a blessing,
a way to bring us closer to Him.
Let's not waste our time and talk about
this and that or this happened or that
happened. Too much discussion, too much talk.
Let's keep remembering Allah and in our talk,
let makes it
during the talk is all about
or bring Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in. SubhanAllah,
Alhamdulillah,
La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar. In another hadith
similar to the one I started
specifically
about
the remembrance
of Allah, and Rasul 'ala salatu wa salam
said, and this is an Imam Ahmed, and
he said again,
He said no days more virtuous
in the sight of Allah
and no days, good deeds is more beloved
to him than these days, the 10 days.
So what do we do? Now he gave
us specifically
and he said
Do plenty of.
Say plenty, say a lot.
Keep saying it, keep saying it, one of
now these days Insha'Allah some of you may
have it, for
the last 3 4 hours I'm getting from
many people all over the world recordings
of takbir,
takbirat
and they say put it and there is
a new app actually in the phone that's
continues every time you use the app it
comes, use the phone it comes to remind
you.
Allahu Akbar You RahelAllahu
Akbar. Put it in the house, there's barakah
in the house, you are resuscitating the sunnah
of Rasool alaihi sata wassala and you are
glorifying the days,
Allah glorified them.
SubhanAllah, put it in your home, in on
your YouTube, just look in the YouTube,
Takbiraat,
They call Takibirat, meaning saying Allahu Akbar or
saying the the dikr of the 10 days
of Dhul Hijjah. It's gonna come.
And recorded almost all the reciters of the
Quran, they also have it.
That's his his advice to you and me.
Keep reminding
yourself to do a lot of dik and
especially also the days of Eid is the
days of food. That's why we are not
supposed to fast because Rasool alaihi wa saraham
said, the days of Eid.
The days of Eid, these are days we
cannot fast,
these are days we are supposed to eat
and these are days of dhikrullah,
remembering Allah. Dhikr of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la,
if I want to just to make it
easy for everyone is basically
reading Quran is Dhikr,
listening to a lecture is a Dhikr,
Reviewing your Quran is dhikr.
Learning how to read Quran is dhikr.
Saying Astaghfirullah
is dhikr. Morning and evening athkar is Dhikr.
You getting into your car and say SubhanAllah,
you
are saying the du'a, the supplication of getting
into the car that's the remembrance of Allah.
Coming out of the bathroom and you say
Ufranic that's Dhikr of Allah,
remembrance of Allah. Going to bed and you're
saying
the dua, supplications before you go to bed,
that's Dhikr of Allah. I just need to
remember
and I need to remind myself that these
supplications,
these adkar, although I normally say it outside
these 10 days, but in these 10 days
they are more virtuous and they are more
beloved to Allah. It's like, may Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala forgive us, but sometimes we have
to give these examples to make things easy
for us. You know when you say when
when when when you go to buy something
and they tell you you buy 1 and
the next the and then the second one
will be 45% less,
you know, all these offers,
SubhanAllah, and Allah is Al Kareem and when
he tells you there is no days more
beloved to me to do a good deed
than these days, what he will reward you
and me?
What he will reward you and me? SubhanAllah.
And one other specific, so 3 good deeds
specific
in these 10 days.
1 is Hajjina Ummrah and number 2 is
Dhikr, Tahleel, Tahmid and Takbir
and the third one is Al Uthuhaya
slaughtering the animal or Qurbani
as we say it in different parts of
the world.
The word we use should teach us a
lot of the meaning.
Meaning, why it's called Korbani
in in in the Indo Pak
communities or in India and Pakistan that part
of the world they use the word Korbani.
What does Korbani mean?
Meaning getting closer to Allah. It's from Korb,
to get close to Allah.
Slaughtering the animal will get me closer to
Allah
and why is that? Because Allah loves it.
Allah loves it.
When I and you want to get close
to somebody, what do you do?
You say what do they love? I want
to give them a gift, what do they
want? So so so they will love me
even more, so they feel I'm special
and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said
and this is Hadith and Imam Turumidi. He
said
no deed
the son of Adam will do the day
of an Nahar, the day of Eid, the
the first day of Eid they called the
Umun Nahar, the day of slaughter.
No good deed.
The day the son of Adam does on
the day of Eid more beloved to Allah
than
let the blood flow.
Let the blood flow meaning slaughter the animal.
Look at this one.
Now when you are hesitant to do more
than 1,
why should I do it? Should I not
do it? You know, listen to this hadith.
The animal that we will slaughter is gonna
come on the day of judgement.
With its horn.
With its skin and hair.
With its nail.
The whole animal
with all not only the the animal, the
meat and even the horn, even the nails,
even the skin.
Everything will be put in the scale of
the human being
to make it heavier.
And the drop of blood that's gonna come
from that
animal when they slaughter.
It will be with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
the value of it with Allah, even before
that drop of blood hits the earth.
Make some
beautify yourself with it or make someone
beautiful or make someone happy by it,
Buy this Korbani
or Uthaya
sacrifice.
Sacrifice.
Do it
as much as you can, if you can.
Again,
if you can and ask Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala to make it easy
because Allah will not get anything out of
its blood or it is meat
But he what he wants from it that
we slaughtered the animal is the taqwa. Allah
said this in Suratul Hajj When he talks
about Hajj and he came to in the
verses came to the part of Hajj where
we slaughter the animal.
Do it as much as you can, if
you cannot afford it, you can't afford it,
but if you can and actually if you
can, there is a lot of talk about
this
and they
one of Hadith of Rasool alaihi s wa'am
and this is hadith SubhanAllah, he
said
Rasool alaihi wa sallam
said whomsoever
is capable
and he did not slaughter.
Let him not come.
Let him
not come to our place of prayer.
SubhanAllah,
whomsoever
can and he puts the first condition
he
can
he with the slaughtering an animal is not
going to be too difficult on him to
live sa'amin he has little bit extra.
Let him slaughter the animal
and the animal is a 3 kinds,
I'm going to quickly go through this just
for us all to learn. There is a
camel and there is a cow and there
is the sheep,
the sheep or the goat.
And scholars differ
which one is better.
Some says it's the camel then the cow
then the sheep, and then based upon hadith
of Rasool alaihis salatu wa sallam
where he mentioned these animals, some says it's
the other way around. The whole idea is
slaughter.
In his Hajj,
he
gave as Qurbani or hadi actually,
for Hajj 100.
He slaughtered himself
SubhanAllah with his
beautiful hand,
63
and he asked Sayyidina Ali to slaughter the
rest.
Whomsoever
resuscitate
my Sunnat, he loved me.
This is his Sunnat alaihis salat wa sasa
and this is the Sunnat of Sayyidina Ibrahim,
we are all following in his footsteps,
Let's slaughter and
if we can,
you can you can do more, you can
do more. You can do the 100, do
the 100. You can do the 63, do
the 63.
One minimum.
For yourself, 1 is enough. For yourself and
the people of your house,
one is enough. You want to do more,
you want to do more. You want to
do it as extra for the
other people, the people who passed away? Yes,
you can. Absolutely.
The one that is for yourself
and for your family,
that one,
most scholars will tell you it needs to
be in the town or city where you
live.
And normally 1 third you eat, 1 third
your gift give it as a gift, and
1 third you actually give it as a
charity.
That's his Sunnah.
And I am doing this,
this is a good deed, this is beloved
to Allah, this is I want to get
close to Allah, I do it the way
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala wanted
and this is his sunnah. And some school
of thoughts say it is an obligation, actually
Imam Abu Hanifa say it is an obligation
to slaughter the animal, and the majority of
the opinion say it is
did it,
and it is stressed upon, highly recommended
to do. So do it, Alhamdulillahi rabbla, and
there's plenty of opportunity to do it, do
one in your place where you are living,
you want to do more, then you do
it, there is a plenty of need all
over the world. SubhanAllah. May Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala makes it easy for everybody.
Last thing I'm gonna end up with today,
again because of the time, we chose these
good deeds Yani, then that everyone insha'Allah
cannot if they cannot do it all, they
can do most of it. Some of them
is
actions of the heart and some of them
are action of the body and some of
them are all of them. The last but
not the least
is the Quran.
Always remember this ayatulul Furqanin, every time I
read it I ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
you Allah you Allah don't make me of
those people. And the Rasul alaihi salatu wasalam
on the day of judgment will come to
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and he said it
in Surat Al Furqan and he will say
the following, he will complain with love.
He will complain with love to Allah
and he will say, You Rabbi oh my
Lord,
my people.
You and me.
My people.
They neglected
this book
and he said Hadal Quran, they neglected the
Quran
and neglect the Quran has a lot of
meaning,
the obvious one they don't read it,
they don't understand it
and they don't apply it. It's many ways,
but let's start with the first one.
Let's make let us be, not of these
people,
we read it only in Ramadan,
we read it only when someone dies and
that is it.
Most beloved,
one of the most beloved deed to Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala because it is his words.
SubhanAllah,
look at the hadith of Rasool Alaihi Wasala.
Again,
I always need to remind myself of these
things because my nafs and your nafs
love to what I'm gonna get out? What
will I get? SubhanAllah, it's it's in us.
It's it's we do things, we remind ourselves
of things to
encourage ourselves,
and this hadith insha'Allah will encourage everybody.
And some of you may know the hadith,
but dakr remind people.
Reminders
benefit the
believers. Rasool alaihi wa sallam said in a
hadith on the authority of Imam Tirmidhi, he
said
whomsoever
read.
One letter.
One letter
from the book of Allah he gets one
good deed.
And the good deed the good deed times
10.
Alif Lam Harf and I'm not gonna say
Alif Lam and Mi the beginning of Surat
Al Baqarah the cow is a harf. No.
Alif is a harf.
Lam is a harf. Miem is a harf.
So if I said Alif, lam, mim that's
30 hasanah.
If I read Al Fatiha, how many Hassanal?
If I read Al Baqarah, how many Hassanal?
Quran.
Quran and I think it's Imam Al Qayyim
who he said the meaning of there is
nothing will get you closer to Allah than
His words
than His words.
And I always remind myself of this parable.
Imagine if I want and actually recently
this happened and this reminded me of this
hadith.
If someone wants to make you happy
and wants you to love them,
right? What will they do?
They will bring you for example a card
and in the card what they will put?
They will put something you usually say
and you will look and say, Wow,
they really look at me it's special because
they remember my words, they remember what I
say
and these are the words of Allah
and I get close to him it's his
words,
his words
That's why he didn't say SubhanAllah, Arasul Ala
SAW taught wasalam, he didn't say manqara aharfa
nir Quran.
He said whomsoever he didn't say who read
one letter from the Quran which is the
same, but he said whomsoever read a letter
from the book of Allah.
So when you open the Quran
this is one thing we have also to
change, don't look at it as the Quran
only,
it's the words of Allah.
It is the words of my Lord
SubhanAllah.
Al Quran. Al Quran and Sayyidna Uthman
and used to say
If our hearts
were purified
we will never have enough
from the words of our Lord.
If our hearts were pure we will never
have enough from the words of our lords.
Alhamdulillahi
Rabbilani.
Alhamdulillahi,
Alhamdulillahi,
You Allah welcome this
the month of the hajjah with safety,
with faith, with Islam,
with
facilitation
and easiness
of good deeds. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
accept from all of us. May Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala make the difficult easy. May Allah
make the easy more easy. May Allah make
things that we thought we will never be
able to do, we will do, but we
can.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa'ala to make it
easy, accept from us and let us be
a key as I always remind myself before
anyone else, we are all keys for good
deeds, remind people
by you doing something you will remind people
and Allah will facilitate it insha'Allah.
