AI: Summary ©
The importance of having a strong and persistent relationship with Allah is emphasized, along with the importance of understanding one's own values and not just knowing what others think of them. Shaytan and the negative consequences of shaytan are also discussed, along with the importance of forgiveness and a good deed to avoid sin. The speaker emphasizes the importance of finding one's own way of life and not just praying. The speaker also discusses various actions taken by Allah during his time in the United States, including apologizing for mistakes, giving forgiveness to people, and working on every opportunity to make him slip and fall.

Each one of us in this whole, Shaytan
has his way. What will work on you
will not work on me, and what will
work on me will not work on you.
No way he's gonna come to you and
say, don't pray Isha, you will go to
Jannah. He's not gonna say that because you're
not gonna listen. What are you gonna say?
Tired.
5, 10 minutes.
Let me take a nap, and then I'll
wake up. I will have more energy.
Right? You're laughing because that's what we hear.
Or you are looking through social media and
something in you says, come on. Stop it.
Go on, Paresh, and go to bed. And
you're gonna say, only 5 minutes.
Only 10 minutes, and nothing wrong. I'm just
I'm just checking the news. This is all
him.
When I was debating, should I travel to
study or not,
and one of the advice that I was
given by a physician, actually.
But he's, SubhanAllah, may Allah make him better
attached to Allah SubhanAllah. And this was his
advice.
And he said, Daktura
and he says in English. No. Actually, he
said in Arabic. He said,
And I'll translate.
He said,
if your heart, and this is to everybody,
if your heart is attached to Allah,
it doesn't matter on which land of Allah
you will be living in.
So whether it's Dallas, whether it's Houston,
whether it is England, Europe, Africa,
it's all his land, his earth, his creation.
The question is where is my heart?
So
before I start, I want you all to
refocus. It's really very difficult after a break,
after food, after salah to bring you back.
But, Alhamdulillah, may Allah always make things easy.
And I'm gonna start with a story and
so, you know, why did I write a
book? I am not a writer. I never
thought in any moment in my life that
I will write a book.
And I'm gonna be I'm very honest.
So I normally do a series and some
of you may watch it on Tuesdays, and
this is actually in the Masjid. I live
in Irvine, the Islamic Center of Irvine.
And I was getting this
and it was the topic of today, which
was that since it's a series it was
9 weeks.
I can't remember which week was that, but
it was
the topic is that sins will Sabar your
weaken and then Sabar your relationship with Allah.
And in front of me, very close to
me, was also, alhamdulillah,
many many many sisters and 1 young woman,
young girl actually.
And, I thought she was not Muslim.
Didn't look like a Muslim. She was fierce.
She was,
not the person you see it.
But she was so focused and I said,
You know what? She's listening. It doesn't matter.
Allah
opened the hearts and at one point, our
ancestors, not everybody was Muslim.
The I finished
and no after you finish many people comes
to you and she came with her. No.
This was but only her. So I gave
attention to her and she said, can I
ask you a question? I said, sure.
Then she made it in her body language
that I wanted to be private. So I
said, okay. So I took her on the
side. We sat on the floor. She sat
in front of me.
And I want you to listen to this
question. It's one of the most
powerful questions I have ever heard.
Let alone from a 14 year old. Let
alone you don't think she's a Muslim.
She said the following. She says, why don't
I have
this relationship with Allah
that makes me stand up for salaf?
She didn't say I don't pray,
and then I come to know she's a
Muslim.
She knew what salah is.
We all know, did you pray? Some of
you from the Indo Pak, you say, did
you read your salah?
It's very common,
right? And we say salayti in the Arabic,
did you pray?
She knew salah is
a relationship with Allah
and she brought the the question after I
gave the whole hour about how sinly
weaken and sever your relationship with Allah.
SubhanAllah. I left, maybe a week later I
decided I'm gonna do this as a book.
I said, if this affected a 14 year
old, and I want it to be a
very simple one. Actually, what what was what
I said, we just transcribed and then, of
course, we edited and added the verses and
the the point I'm trying to make, and
it's all about the book Allah is my
witness,
is about when we
there's 2 things.
When you really want to be close to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, and this is to
everybody.
The most important thing in this step,
in that process you know what?
You really want it.
He looks inside you and me.
He looks inside you and me and say,
are you sincere?
Is this as real?
And he doesn't ask you. He sees and
he knows.
If you are
sincere and by Allah, you mean what you
said, And I'm sure this girl, I haven't
seen her afterward.
I'm sure she was sincere.
She really wanted to know why doesn't she
have this relationship.
If you really want to be close to
almost Panhana,
he will open the doors for you.
Like he opened this door
and he brought me here on a just
a short notice.
Something in Houston
made Sheikh Hammar
join Nigeria, and I joined Nigeria, and we
meet. And it was a very short he
didn't even have time to talk, but we
talked. I remember we're going to the elevator,
the point, before I start my
my subject.
And Allah said it in the Quran in
one of the most
to me is one of the most powerful
verses
in your relationship with Allah and the akhirah
and the hereafter. Some of you know it
but probably have not looked at it this
whole. Allah
said,
We'll give you whatever you want.
And then he said the opposite, which is
a very common concept in the Quran. There
is always opposites.
Number 1, and this is related to everything
I have said so far, whomsoever
one
wants
Not I want,
I want. You know what I mean?
There's a difference when you say I want
to eat, when you say, I'm very hungry,
I want to eat. You're going to do
everything to go and find a food.
Right?
Why I'm saying this? Because look what he
said next, Subhanah.
So you
those who wants the hereafter, that's it. I
just want.
Those of you who know Arabic,
and Allah
used the word.
How many of you have been to Mecca,
Umrah or Hajj? Show me hands.
What is the hardest thing, especially in Umrah?
Sali.
Because it is long and up and down
and you have to go up and make
the dua and it's 7 times. It's hard.
So sai usually in the Arabic
language used for
something that means
resolve,
action, and you will feel tired. And Allah
says you want the person who really wants.
That's not enough.
And worked for it what it proves.
Did not work for Dymyan, he wants an
akhir or she wants an akhir.
Sa'alaha
sayah. And that's not enough. And you have
the third one.
And here, Mu'min is a believer. We all
are. But also you believe that Allah will
never let you down.
That when you really want something for his
sake, he will give it to you.
And Allah immediately says
immediately
those that they have these three criteria.
Your hard work
will be rewarded.
That wake up at 5 o'clock in the
morning when it is extremely cold,
and you were slept at 1 AM, and
you're extremely tired, but you pulled yourself out
of that bed, that sai.
That's hard work.
Remember,
that stand up even if it is 5
minutes.
You did it for Allah. You're looking at
the
He will reward you.
He will never let you down.
One of the main
issues we have as Muslims, and correct me
if I'm wrong,
is 2 things.
Is number 1,
we do have a relationship. I can't say
this is why I told the young girl.
Actually, immediately, I said, say it again. I
wanna hear it. This is one of the
most beautiful questions I heard in my life.
At this point, she starts crying.
So number 1 is, I don't I do
have the relationship,
but I don't have the relationship.
Am I correct?
And always to understand the deen on the
daily level,
not to be a scorner.
Take
your relationship with anybody in this room, young
and old, men and women, anyone, and think
of someone you love.
Anybody.
Your children, your spouse, your friend,
your parents. You really love.
You feel this attachment in in you. Right?
How you're gonna what is this relationship?
How often you will remember that person?
How often these days we look at our
phones, I was like, maybe,
one message,
just two lines.
Right?
Is that the relationship we have with Allah?
And as I said, we do have the
relationship. We cannot and nobody
can say it shouldn't ever say we don't
have a relationship.
Enough you say
that, then you have it.
But how strong
and how persistent?
Is it daily?
Is it 5 times a day?
Once a week?
Monthly?
From
on to on
or when I need to only.
So that's number 1.
That absolutely is and this is what I'm
gonna come to what I wanna share with
you. That that's number 1, need analysis as
we say in medicine.
Literally, you have to chop it layer by
layer
and say, I do have a relationship, check
it.
Number 2,
what kind?
Sometimes I call it, and this is me,
it's a one way relationship.
You know what's a one way relationship?
I remember him only when I need him.
Look at my salah when I have an
exam tomorrow.
Look at my salah when I am gonna
go for delivery.
They told me it may be difficult one.
I see it. This is my daily life.
Or when you really need something, or when
you're scared and let's say you live in,
you you you witnessed hurricane. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. May Allah protect you. May Allah protect
you. You you you witnessed hurricane.
May Allah protect you.
And if you see on the news like
tomorrow there could be.
And what is your dua?
Back now? Like now after tomorrow?
Let's say, don't how many mean dua after
sunnah.
Don't tell me. That's between you and him.
So I need to look at it and
analyze it.
I do.
It's dear to you Allah. Is it constant?
Is it the same level? It's sometimes low,
sometimes up. What makes it up? What makes
it low?
2nd,
where is your focus?
What is your focus? It's a very common
question you have it every almost very common
these days, especially with the youth. They say
at age 30,
I don't know why they put 30, but
that's how it is these days.
At age 30, what's your plans? What do
you think you will be
in 10 years from now, in 5 years
from now? Have you heard that? Speak to
any person in business. That's the first question
they study.
Right? What is your 5 years plan? I
I I one day I talked with a
businessman, very successful, Muslim.
And he said I'm planning for 30 years,
and I said, SubhanAllah.
And he said, what is wrong with the
dak Torah? I said, 30 years? Do I
know I'm living tomorrow?
Then my next question is,
what is your plan for achir?
Do we have a plan for akhir?
Is the akhirah on my daily schedule
or on my daily plans or on on
my 5 year plan.
True or false?
This is because of the first.
If my relationship with Allah is very strong,
strong,
then my focus on akhirah comes right away
because to me akhirah is not about jannah
and una. It's not about jannah, heavens, and
hellfire.
Akhirah to me, the hereafter to me is,
who can tell me?
This is when you have the relationship. It's
my appointment,
finally.
I'm gonna see Him.
Finally,
as sayyid Nabidal, when he died,
and he and he was dying.
Imagine this showing me, how scared we will
be. And
he
said,
Allah,
tomorrow
I'm gonna finally see Muhammad and his companion.
That's hawkers.
That's hawkers.
We are, Muslims,
humanity,
extremely
distracted.
I wouldn't say just distracted,
extremely distracted.
And definitely Muslim in number 1.
Distracted everything else, and I say this to
myself before I knew,
everything else
is more important.
And correct me if I'm wrong.
Everything is more important than Allah and Akhirah.
True or false?
True or false?
False?
Please. No, it's okay. Let's discuss it. That's
why I asked. I'm not asking you to
always say yes to me. May Allah forgive
my shortcomings.
But when we say false,
then I made a statement
that he's gonna take me accountable for misstatement.
And he's gonna say, really?
False?
I am not distracted?
When the adhan goes on, I jump from
my whatever I'm doing, I throw it all
the way, or I am like Sayedna,
Ali Nazighin Abidine.
When he goes
to make, they see his face completely change.
He become pale.
And they asked him, why you imam?
Right? You know what he said?
Do you know who I am gonna be
standing in front of?
Is that us?
Is that us?
Then are we distracted?
And why we need to know this is
not to make you feel bad. No. On
the contrary,
you're gonna be very grateful to Allah
that he brought me here, made me say
it. I didn't even get to the subject.
I just looked at you,
and this just came into me. That Allah
wants to remind me,
and you
It's in the Quran.
This is to Rasul alaihi wa sallam. This
is to the Sahaba companion. Don't feel too
bad.
If Allah said to the Sahaba to Rasul
alaihi wa sallam
remind them.
Reminding benefit peep benefit believers
Then Alhamdulillah,
at least I'm a believer,
and I'm benefiting from it, meaning it's make
it's making me think
Alhamdulillah.
And that will bring me to our topic.
The reason we are distracted,
and please forgive me, and I want everyone
in this world today,
go home
and start paying attention
to this relationship.
Pay attention to this relationship,
then Allah will show you.
Salah Taisha time comes in.
Right? Let's say 8 o'clock.
You finish dinner and everything.
That's our daily life. There's nothing Haram in
here. Okay?
Normally what do we do?
Most of us, if not all of us.
We're tired. We're exhausted. It's the end of
the day. We had a long day. That's
the usual. Doesn't matter what you do, but
that's the usual. Don't we sit on a
couch while we sit in the living room?
Most of us. The young, everybody goes to
their role these days, unfortunately.
What do we do?
Young and old,
I want
downtime,
right? What do we do?
We start watching TV.
Doesn't matter what we are watching, but 99%
of what we are seeing, there's something in
it, something, I didn't say all of it,
Something in
it is not pleasing to all.
As simple as an ad.
Right?
Let's alone if I'm on my social media
and I'm going
through TikTok,
IG, Facebook. It depends on your age.
And this is the scenario.
I saw.
I I was not looking for it. I
was honestly. Allah is my witness. He's seeing
me. I was looking for something.
I wanted to see what is the updates
of Gaza. So I was looking to see
and then something came up.
And that something came up, which is very
common,
is not pleasing to Anba.
Haram. Period.
And I looked at it,
and then I kept looking,
and then I clicked on it.
Now I am silly, and now I'm committing
a sin.
Yes or no?
I did not intend to do the sin.
I didn't go on my social media to
see haram.
No.
But I fall, I fell
to the luring of the shaypa.
Finished?
Now he said, oh, I need to go
on premiership.
It's getting too late.
Tell me how was your Russia?
That's how you that's how you analyze yourself.
Opposite,
exactly the opposite.
For some reasons,
the same scenario
you clipped.
Most of you know me from social media,
so somebody come to you and you say,
what? Okay, let me click.
And this person, she or her, was saying
something
that wooed you, that reminded you of something
and made you
listen.
Is that pleasing to Allah?
Yes or no?
Yes.
You finished.
Go and see your son.
That is it.
This is what single does to us.
Gradually, by the way,
very gradual, it's a very subtle
way
Shaytan promised
Allah, by Your Majesty.
Every time I read this
and I say,
Who is this shaytan standing in front of
him,
And he's making oath by his majesty
out of anger and jealousy.
Wait and see what I'm gonna do to
them.
Wait and see.
You go.
In many places in the Quran, you go.
And whomsoever will follow you,
You're all gonna be in Jahannam.
One of
the verses about shaytan, and there is no
discussion here. It's actually in Surat An Nisa,
And this applies to us
so much to Hanamah these day, especially these
days.
Because what what is
Allah will forgive everything
related to us
except shirk, the real shirk. Somebody worship
something other than Allah. Okay?
Whomsoever
associate to Allah have been gone completely astray.
Now,
come to the sins.
And how shaytan works.
They call
instead of Allah, meaning worship, depend, loves, you
name it.
That's angels, now comes.
Accursed shay upon.
They call him.
They befriend him, they listen to him.
And then what did he do?
1st.
That's why when you say shaytan ulwajeen,
the cursed
devil, you're not saying anything not outside the
deen. That's what Allah said.
Now see Shaytan Waqad said to him. Are
you all ready?
He said to Amma,
look how
I don't find a word yet every time
I read this
verse. I am gonna,
the same Tawah,
I am gonna
make sure
I had a share in every one of
your creation.
From your servants,
every one of them,
I am gonna take a share from them.
How?
How?
You're just gonna take a share of me
and your?
Now he said,
I am gonna make them go astray.
And I'm gonna order
them. I am gonna order them.
Whisper,
and I'll come to it in a second.
And they're gonna do what? Change they they
will change the ears of the cattle. It's
a very common thing they needed that time.
But look at this this day and age.
I'm gonna order them, and they will change
the creation of Allah.
I look and you look at yourself in
the mirror. I don't like the way I
look.
SubhanAllah.
The best of the Creator
who said, I created human being,
in the best way, form, and shape. I
don't like it,
and I go and do this and this
and
that. He said it.
How does he come to you and me?
That's how he settled my relationship.
It's not like you you bring the scissors
and you cut the
the rope.
Comes to you.
And everyone accordingly. There's a beautiful book,
Tulimam ibn al Panyin. It's called Iraathatul Gafan
al Masaid al Sharpen. It's how do you
safe
save
the one who is in desperate need from
the whispers of shaypa.
Each one of us in this hole,
shaypa has his way.
What will work on you will not work
on me,
and what will work on me will not
work on you.
No no way he's gonna come to you
and say, don't pray, Isha, you will go
to Jannah.
It's not gonna say that because you're not
gonna listen.
What are you gonna
say? Tired.
5, 10 minutes.
Let me take a nap and then I
will wake up. I will have more energy.
Right? You're laughing because that's what we hear.
That's what we hear. Or you are looking
through social media again because this is the
biggest move these days. Right?
And something in you says, come on. Stop
it. Go on Paresh and go to bed.
And you're gonna say only 5 minutes,
only 10 minutes, and nothing wrong. I I
I I'm just I'm just checking the news.
This is all him.
1st is.
He's gonna lure you to do the thing.
Now as you are, and this is all
of us, inside our hearts, and that's a
haditha for Rasool alaihi s wa'at usna, we
have 2 forces.
Love to do good.
All of us are happy when we do
good.
Nobody
is different.
Even the worst person,
they know when they kill someone, they dream
deep down they know they did something wrong.
So all of us, here we go. So
the first one will tell you,
don't do it. Don't look
or do it or get up or don't
say it. Hold your tongue. Don't respond.
All this, that's the Manak, the angelic heart
in me and you
is speaking. Now he comes.
That's what Hagif Rasu.
He's gonna come,
and now it depends.
If it is me, the way he will
talk to me, don't be too hard on
yourself. He just prayed, I show no need
for sunnah, all of you prayed no need
for you sleep and wake up and do
your tajjud.
For somebody else would come in a different
way.
And the biggest,
the most successful, and please, Kovak too,
word,
shay upon,
whisper in our ears.
Keep telling you and me,
Allah is all forgiving, Allah is all merciful.
Is He?
Is He?
I wanna hear it.
Yes. Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah. May Allah reward you. I'm so impressed.
What how old is she sitting in in
this lecture, Tabarakamlah.
Right? May Allah protect you.
Now when he comes and tell you Allah
is,
what will happen to me?
I'm gonna get relaxed.
Come on. It's okay. Don't make it too
hard.
If you have this second side
strong, you're gonna heal the following,
and what you will do with Allah
What are you gonna do?
Allah has also has severe punishment.
Both.
We are not telling you about what we
have told the prophets before you. Allah
them.
Your Lord
is All Forgiving,
and your lord also has severe punishment. This
one is adabunilim,
severe punishment.
And in another place, Allah said, if I
ride,
Allah has all forgiveness
for people in spite of their transgression,
but also he has severe punishment.
So the first
reason
I and you
succumb,
fall,
disobey Allah
is because Shaytan is operating
day and night,
247,
he and his soldiers.
Sometimes
we
operate for shaybar.
When you look at somebody,
especially young,
and you say, don't do this. You're too
young. You know, enjoy life.
You're acting like a small chepa.
When When you tell a girl 13, 14,
don't wear your hijab yet, you're too young.
What is too young mean?
That you're operating
as an emissary for Shaifa.
So the first death rate this is why
when when Shaifa
wins, of course, my relationship with Allah,
what will happen to it? For being weaker
and weaker and weaker. This force inside my
heart become weak.
Let me ask you a question, Ramadan, less
than 2 months.
Everybody in this room fast, if they can,
the answer is yes. I'm sure.
Almost everybody does Taraweeh
whether it is in the Masjid, whether it's
in the house.
I'm sure everybody does.
2 rakat for 812, that's not the question.
Right?
Everybody
give charity in Ramallah.
True or false?
That's why we all do fundraising in Ramallah.
Right? Yes. Because people are very generous
and they compete in generosity.
Why we are different outside Ramallah?
We're the same human being,
right?
Same thing, same name, same family,
same job, same, same, same. How many people
can take the whole month off? Very few.
Why I am inside Ramadan?
Taraweeh at 10 PM. I run
and I stand there for an hour or
2 especially if I don't understand the Quran,
but I'm still standing. Why?
Because shayfa is chained.
That's what a Rasulay saw to Usa. You're
gonna hear this hadith very
repeatedly in the next month and 2. Right?
When shaitan comes in when and I'm sorry.
When Ramadan
comes in, the doors of the heavens are
open and the shaitan
is or shayabayin
or cheat.
Don't underestimate
that the influence of Shaipan.
It's words.
It's things we see.
It's the company around us.
It's the love for the things he needed
to make us even more attached
to things that is not pleasing to Allah.
How do I know?
And this is a question for everybody.
How do I know that my relationship with
Allah is strong?
And how do I know my relationship with
Allah is in
Shaitan has a lot of power on me.
How do I know? What is the indication
in my daily life?
Can anyone answer
me? Salah. What does salah mean? You just
said salah.
Number
1, and make it general.
Because if he sees salah, like, what about
the woman during her cycle?
The bull.
In general, the scholars will tell in general,
when your relationship with Allah is strong, and
I just gave you an example of Ramadan.
The acts of worship, obedience to Allah in
general, not only salah,
because this is one of the problems we
Muslims now, we have so much narrowed this
deen
to salah, musayam, reading Quran and I'm done.
And if I am a woman, I wear
hijab and I'm perfect. I'm waiting for my
place in Jannah.
What about the others?
What about the rights of people?
What about the rights of people?
We come to the Masjid in Ramadan, and
we just broke the fast, and we are
standing in Tarawiyah. I leave. I've hurt everybody.
I've hurt everyone in that Musallana.
And I don't think I've done anything.
In general, your relationship with Allah, and put
that scale,
10 out of 10.
When a unique act of worship, and I'm
gonna give you in a second definition of
act of worship,
It's so easy on me
and enjoyable.
Easy and enjoyable. Doesn't mean it is easy.
But because I love it and I enjoy
it, I stand up for salah
for 30 minutes.
I fast and I did not have,
Suhoor, and it's a long day.
I'm so upset.
She said these things to me,
and I am so angry,
but I'm not going to say a word
because it's not pleasing to Allah,
not for any other reason.
Not because I'm polite, not because what people
will say about me, because it's not pleasing
to Allah. When you connect
everything in your daily life
with him,
you have this relationship.
And now you're engaged.
Imam al bin Taymiyyah defined the Ibadah,
and I really want you all to know
this. One of the most beautiful definition.
It would summarize everything in my life and
yours.
Al Ibadah, and I'll say it's an Arabic
and I will translate.
Everything.
Pay attention to the word everything.
Allah loves and he's pleased with. I'll come
and I'll give you examples.
Okay. He loves
and he is pleased with. From what?
Pay attention.
Sayings
and actions.
Wait, it's not done yet.
Externally
and eternally.
Six things.
Everything Allah loves
and
pleased. Words,
actions,
internal and external.
Meaning,
translate. I always when I read and I
was like, okay, let's translate so I know
what I'm saying. When I'm at and when
I'm in my daily life,
I know where that mean.
Okay? Give you an example.
So when I was landing,
of course, the plane was full,
and they made an announcement that some people
have connections and it is very short connections.
Can you please stay in your place if
you are in, like, your final destination is
Houston?
Right.
So I said, okay.
And then I I came to my mind,
okay, this has to be a good deed.
I want my reward with Allah.
I need my reward with Allah. So what
is this definition?
Does Allah love for me to make the
life of somebody else easy?
Yes or no?
Is that external or internal?
That's external.
Because I know it I I was able
I could I was, like, in the front,
I could have easily moved. I I stayed
and I made people
move.
And I said, he likes that and that's
and he's pleased with it the way especially
me.
Especially me. And this is especially for the
sisters.
Right? In my jilbab, in my,
hidaab.
Right?
Yohan. Yes. He loves it because I made
it easy. You're the pleased with? Yes. Because
I did it the way it pleases him.
Is it an action? Yes. Is it an
external? Yes. I just did an act of
worship.
I didn't pray.
I didn't
fast.
I'd read Quran.
That's what needs to be changed.
For us Muslims.
When you come and I again saw it
here and it is the usual, I'm sure
all the Imams in this world agree with
me. When you, anuttaram, is
brothers and sisters,
and you put your shoes in a way
that it is in the way oh, the
Muslimi,
you disobeyed Allah,
and you're going for salah.
Does Allah loves that?
Does Allah like that?
Is that an action?
Is that external?
How long it will take me to pick
up the shoes and put it in the
place?
One second, if not 2.
Why don't I do it?
Because I don't look if there's an act
of worship. Are you all with me?
This is what happens.
Small small
I hurt somebody I didn't know, but somebody
came in and tripped.
I hurt. That's a sin,
especially in the masjid.
I hurt a Muslim. That's a sin,
And it will take me away from Allah
gradually, gradually, gradually.
The opposite is true.
Change the followings.
Change
the meaning of Ibadah.
We became rituals.
We became rituals.
Again, Ramadan,
in and out fasting
and spiritual,
and the imam just read and he made
the dua and I was sobbing, the whole
masjid was sobbing.
I leave.
Less than 5 minutes as I am leaving,
I hurt this person.
I blocked that person in my car.
What is that?
Versus if I pay attention to every step,
I am connected with Allah.
The more I am connecting with Allah, he's
gonna protect me. He's gonna open my eyes.
And memorize this everybody. El Nuri good deed.
Open the door for another good deed.
And, good deed
open the door for another bad deed.
And the choice is mine and yours.
That's why Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala always said,
it's your choice.
You go and do whatever you want.
Just in that private interview with Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, I say to myself, I better
have a good excuse.
Why didn't I do it or why did
I do it?
Since
gradually,
gradually, gradually, and I'm focusing on the is
this is not a minor or a major.
I am focusing on the hidden ones.
The hidden ones. You comfort Jumuah. I don't
know if he had the same problem here
in Hymrista,
but it's many of the Masajid we have
a problem in parking.
Right? Everywhere.
And here you go, you're coming for jumwa,
and it's an obligation to prenis, Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala, and you block somebody else.
You came late, you blocked.
Right? And you said to yourself, you know
what? I'm gonna rush
after the jumuah and I'll move my car.
I can feel I can find an excuse,
but you are blocking somebody
and you're standing there talking to people and
they make announcements
and you still did it all. Sisters and
brothers, it's not only the brothers.
That's a sin. And I gradually,
again,
again,
settle,
Weaken. Of course, it weakens.
It weakens. Why?
Because every time I am new sin, that's
another concept I want everyone to learn.
Every time I sin,
there is a dark spot
is gonna be put in my heart.
When the son of Adam or the servant
disobey Allah, that's why I am I want
us all
to way expand
our definition of sin.
And don't tell me Ibadah is salah only
or Quran only or hijab only or treating
parents only. That's for sure, but that's not
it.
That's not it. Abu Bhandam
is a Sahabi.
Araswari salatu al salam asked him,
what do you have special that I saw
you in Janina?
Do you know what he said?
He said and he was even surprised if
if I remember the story well. And he
said nothing
other than every night when I sleep,
I have already donated my
my,
honor
and my wealth
to anybody who who took it that day.
Meaning, I forgave everybody.
That's
it. That's it.
The opposite is a sin.
Opposite is a sin.
Let alone the * biting, let alone I'm
looking down at people, let alone for the
youth, you are
making fun of people, you're bullying people. These
are sins.
These are actions,
words,
feedings
that Allah does not love and Allah is
not praised with.
And every time I do this,
a dark spot is in my heart.
The problem is I don't know these are
even sales, so I don't even ask for
forgiveness.
And it stays
and stays and stays till my heart becomes,
I call it,
black dirty.
Allah said it. Nay.
Their heart was
rastid
as a result of what they were doing.
We need to change.
You always wonder what did they do
that they changed the world, And we are
seeing it these days with the people of
Gaza.
I'm sure everyone in this room
asked
herself or himself,
what do they have on their hearts,
that in spite of this 3 months,
you did not hear a single word from
anyone
of disobedience of Allah.
Did you?
They killed their family. They killed their children.
They bombed.
Alhamdulillah. The house is completely destroyed. He says,
Alhamdulillah.
Have you seen this is at the beginning?
And his son was carrying the cat. He
said,
it's gonna come back.
What is it in the heart
that even in that most
painful moment,
you don't come out saying other than,
the famous
word,
soul of the soul.
What is that?
That's faith.
That's connection with Allah.
That's what riyamu said.
The more we disobey Allah, this becomes weaker
and weaker and weaker and weaker.
And the more I resist, I want this
also to be clear to everybody.
The more I resist the semis and
or and this is good news for everyone,
when I sinning,
we all gonna sin.
All the children of Adam are sinners. Ask
out my word.
That's what
Every child of Adam
is a sinner.
Great. Let's go and sin.
No. And the best among the sinners are
those who
repent.
As Allah said it in Suratul Rahman and
Suratul Furqan when he was talking about Ibadul
Rahman, the servants,
the best, the best of the best.
And then he said
all the major sins,
killing,
associating with Allah,
fornication,
says,
except they've done all that.
Repent.
Believe.
And followed it by a good deed.
So here I am. We are all sinners.
That's not an an open invitation to sin,
but that's reality.
That's reality.
Human being who's creating the weak.
I can't say, no, I'm not gonna sin.
Then I'm not living in reality, or I
don't know what sin mean.
But what should I do?
The whisper of Sha'yban, no.
Immediate.
Acknowledge.
Say I did?
He knows.
Angel already wrote it. But I'm gonna say
I did. I was weak.
I love it. I fell to it. It's
fine.
Chained, Umayyah, You Allah forgive me.
You Allah, please help me not to do
it again and follow it by a good
deed.
You backbite somebody?
Said something about her or him?
Follow the definition of backbiting?
It's not okay, but I it happened. I
did it. Don't say it's a mistake
and tell people what did I do. Fine.
It's written.
Major.
That's a major sin immediately.
Ask Allah for forgiveness,
and if you cannot apologize to that person,
make du'a for them.
The same way you do for yourself.
This is a ta'aba.
I repented and I'm not gonna do it
again. That'll be please make it easy for
me.
And I believe
and you do a good deed.
That's it. This bad deed will be replaced
into a good deed. That black dot in
your heart now is literally remember this every
time you have an eraser.
When you have an eraser,
this black dot is removed and a white
dot
put in it.
The question.
A question for everybody.
Again for you, I throw a lot of
questions to you because without questions,
we were not gonna I call it wake
up.
How many black dots in my heart?
How many black dots that I don't even
know about?
And that's why Rasuari, as salatu, wasalam, said,
place in Jannah
for that person who in his book or
her book, there is a lot of forgive
asking for forgiveness.
Why?
A lot? Because we do a lot of
sins and we don't know.
I have no idea I even sinned. I
didn't pay attention.
But the moment I say,
Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah,
it's all removed.
So two things I just shared with you
because we always again, I'm a physician.
It's not enough to tell you what's wrong
with you.
I have to tell you how we're gonna
help you. Otherwise, I'm not a good physician.
But without knowing what is the problem, I
can't help and that's why I say to
myself. Number 1, I'm gonna say,
I and you and all of us are
prone to sin.
But that's not an open invitation.
Number 2, Shaytan is gonna work on every
possible opportunity
to make me slip and fall
because he wants me to be where he
will
be or where he is already.
And number 3,
never despair.
Let alone you make somebody despair.
Don't you ever say to yourself,
I I the reason I'm saying this because
I get these questions,
but you don't know what I did. Honestly,
I say, I don't care.
This is what I say. I say, I
don't care. Do you say Iida Iida hala?
And they look at me and says, of
course. I said, alhamdulillah,
done.
Go ask Allah for forgiveness.
Ask Allah to make it easy not to
do it again.
Remove
all the reasons
that made that sin
easy and follow it by a good deed.
Every good deed times,
10.
And every bad day
times?
1.
And when you read it,
the height,
there is people on the day of Jannah,
they will be in the middle.
Neither they are in Jannah
nor they are in the hellfire.
Right?
And the people of the high took to
the people of Jannah.
Right?
And then they look at the people of
the hellfire.
Sayyid Nablaed Nabbas on the commentary of this
verse.
Listen to this.
Don't tell me I wish I'm the people
of Anarof.
At least I'm not in Jahannam.
No.
He said, I wonder.
I wonder
how can a Muslim
be from the people of an hour off
and every good deed times
10? And every good deed times 10. Do
you know what that means?
That means for every good deed I do,
I have done 10
sins
to make it equal.
Then I am in the middle.
I am neither here nor there.
We can't.
We can't. What else Allah do to us
or give us how generous he can be
in war?
So I'm not gonna depend on
one times ten because I don't know how
many
I have there. I am gonna depend, number
1,
When I feel so down, when I feel
so hopeless, that's when
comes to me.
And then I'm gonna
say, as long as I have a breath
in
and all of us,
they're still hoping.
Takbanetofah,
the meaning of their repentance of the son
of Adam is accepted
as long as the
soul
meaning the soul did not reach here.
We still have hope.
And we have,
a Ram
and Lord
Allah,
that's Hafur o Rahim, and He doesn't wanna
punish us.
And He said it in Suratul Nisa,
What will Allah get from punishing
In shakartumuamantu.
Only 2 things.
That's what He wants from you and me.
And everything He gave me,
everything he gave me, and I don't deserve
it.
And most of us in this room, maybe
few exceptions, Islam was given to us on
a on a plate of gold.
Right? And some of us don't want it.
It's too it's too difficult.
Naula Allahu alayhi would have taken it.
What does Allah get from punishing me? That's
what he said.
Just be grateful
and believe.
And Allah is all hearing, all
seeing.
Let's change our relationship with Allah.
Let's make Allah
a priority.
Let's make Allah
not when I have time.
I have Allah
and when I have time, I'm gonna do
the other things. Let's change every act that
we do on our daily life. As long
as it is halal,
change it to an act of worship
with your niyyah.
That's something that also was given to us
as this is the only religion where the
niyyah intention is there.
All these are judged and rewarded by the
intention.
Make sure you have a niyyah.
Don't say to yourself, I pulled you today
to see me.
Then that's not for Allah.
Who am I? May Allah forgive me before
everybody else. You Rabbi, I came to learn.
You Rabbi, I came to get close to
You. You Allah, make it easy. You Rabbi,
make me open open my heart and my
ears so I learn.
You Allah make me when I leave whatever
I heard I'm gonna practice it. You Allah
make it easy. Do you think He will
not listen to you? Then you don't know
her.
Do you think she will not respond?
Then you don't know her.
Change your nia in everything in everything in
life.
From getting married to having children to being
successful
to getting to college to everything in this
life that is halal.
Make it act of worship.
And then your right hand will have I
don't know if it will have enough time
to write.
Compete to write
and don't let shaitan
have any rule or any way on you.
May Allah
make us among
those who listen to the word of admonition
and follow the best of it. May Allah
protect us from our souls, from sins, from
the effect of shaitan on us. If I've
said anything correct, it's from Allah and Allah
only. If I said anything wrong, it's from
me, the impact of shaitan. And how of
of my nafs I seek refuge in Allah
that I remind you of him, and I
forget him.
