Fariq Naik – The Media Portrays the Worst Muslims as Representatives of Islam

The first strategy used by the media is that the media picks up

black sheep of the Muslim community. And it portrays these

people as though they're exemplary Muslims. It picks up black sheep

of the Muslim community could not follow the Quran, who don't follow

the authentic Hadees who criticize Islam, it picks up these black

sheep. And it portrays as though these people that exemplary

Muslims. We have black sheep in every community, whether it be the

Hindu community, whether it be the Jewish community, but the be the

Muslim community, whether it be Indian, whether it be American,

but the media, it picks up these minority black sheep. And it

portrays as though these people that are exemplary Muslims. So

unless we clarify this misconception, we Muslims, we

aren't doing our job.
