Fariq Naik – The Man’s Responsibility to Sustain the Woman Makes Him Entitled to Double her Share

So generally, in Islam of women inherits half the share of that of

the male. But there are certain cases where in a woman inherits

exactly the same share as the male. If there are children, the

mother and father get one six, whereas the brothers and sisters

that are left behind, the brothers and sisters get one six. So

generally, based upon this in Islam, many times, the female

inherits exactly the same share as the male. And there are certain

cases when a female inherits double the share of the male.

For example, if a female dies, and if she leaves behind a husband, or

father as a mother, and no children, so the husband will get

half the chair, whereas the mother she will get 1/3 and the father

will get one six.

So sometimes a female she inherits double the share of Doctor male.

Now what is the logical reason why a female inherits have the share

of a male

in Islam, a male has to look after the financial aspect. And before

marriage, it is the duty of the Father and the brother to look

after the lodging, boarding clothing and other financial

aspects of the woman. And after marriage, it is the duty of the

husband and the son to look after the lodging, boarding clothing and

other financial aspects of a woman. So therefore, in Islam, a

man is financially more aware as compared to a woman. Let's take an

example, suppose a man dies and he leaves behind 150 100,000 rupees

and this has to be distributed, the wife takes the share and the

person leaves behind a son and a daughter. So, the son will get

100,000 rupees and the daughter will get 50,000 rupees.

Now, the son he will get 100,000 rupees, so, 80 to 90% of this he

will have to spend on the family, he will have to look after the

financial aspects 80 to 90% of this he will have to spend it on

the family. Whereas the daughter when she inherits 50,000 rupees,

she will not have to spend a single penny. So, which is better,

having 50,000 rupees and not spending a single penny or having

100,000 rupees and spending 80 to 90% of this on the family, but not

to the second option. So, therefore, in Islam, a man

inherits double the share of that of the woman because he has to

look after financial aspects. Because if a man and a woman they

inherit exactly the same, then it would be injustice because a man

has to spend so much money on the family.

Then I would have to give a talk on men's rights in Islam. The

people who say that this is injustice, we inherit exactly the

same and we have to spend so much on the family. That is the reason
