Fariq Naik – It Is Compulsory to Recite Al Faatihah in Loud Salaah

My name is Noman Han. And I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Is it mandatory

to recite Surah Fatiha behind the imam in the loud prayer reciting

Surah Al Fatiha in the Salah. It is a book and it is a pillar. And

when we are offering a Salah we should see to it that we recite

Surah Fatiha while we are offering a salah or while we are offering

the prayer. Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said

this hadith is mentioned in Sahih al Bukhari Hadith number 756, La

the one who does not recite Surah Fatiha in his salah. Another

Hadith Abdullah Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, Man Salah

one who offers a Salah and does not recite Surah Fatiha so it's

prayer it is Fida. What does he mean? creda it means Nafisa that

means the prayer it is incomplete. So the general ruling is that

reciting Surah Fatiha it is compulsory in the Salah. If we are

offering our Salah in congregation when an individual is offering a

salad on his own but naturally he should recite Surah Fatiha but

when an individual is offering Salah in congregation behind the

Imam if the prayer it is a serie salah, and the Imam does not

recite the Glorious Quran loudly for example, the Doha salah and

the Assad Salah in this situation reciting slothful Fatiha for the

Imam as well as for those people who are following the Imam it is

compulsory. So in every regard an individual should recite Surah

Fatiha if it is not allowed Salah if the Salah is Jerry salah,

wherein the Imam recites the Glorious Quran loudly in the first

two raka for example, the Maghrib prayer de SHA prayer and the fajr

prayer. So should the people who are following the Imam recite

Surah Fatiha behind the Imam know the scholars they have differed

upon this into two opinions. The first opinion is that it is

compulsory for an individual to recite Surah Fatiha even if it is

a loud prayer and they base it on the Hadees our beloved Prophet

Muhammad peace be upon him when our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace

recite Surah Fatiha and based on another Hadith our beloved Prophet

based on these two a hadith the first group of scholars they see

that you should recite Surah Fatiha even if it is allowed salah

and the way that you should decide is they say that when the Imam is

giving certain pauses or after the recitation of the Glorious Quran,

but if the recitation is continuous, then in this situation

you should get recite Surah Fatiha. The second opinion is the

opinion of the second group of scholars. And this is one of the

opinion of the Shafi school of thought and humbly school of

thought and the Maliki school of thought as well. They say that it

is not required or it is not compulsory to recite Surah Al

Fatiha in the loud prayer for the people who are following the Imam

and based on certain on a verse of the Glorious Quran and Sunnah.

Hadees Allah subhanaw taala says in the glorious cloud of chapter

seven verse number 204, either for either According to Al Quran or

for STEMI Allah who will unsuitable Allah control hormone

and when the Quran is recited, listen to it, attentively and

remain silent. And the scholars they say that this was it was

revealed in reference to reciting the Lord's Prayer in the Salah,

of the Glorious Quran that I mentioned in the Hadith that I

mentioned, the second group of scholars, they say that when the

Imam is reciting the Quran, during his salah, for example, in the

Mughal prayer or in the Isha prayer, or in the fajr prayer in

the first two raka when the Imam is saving SUTA Fatiha, you should

listen to the Imam. It is not required to recite Surah Al Fatiha

and the recitation of the Imam is sufficient

For the people who are following the Imam as well. So if an

individual is offering the loud prayer, along with the Imam, so in

this situation it is not required an individual should rather listen

to the Imam while he's reciting Surah Fatiha as far as reciting

other sutras, along with the Imam when he's reciting other Sutras of

the glories for all these other schools as well, we should listen

to the recitation of the Imam and we should not recite along with

the Imam because when the Quran is recited, we should listen to the

recitation of the Glorious Quran when it is being recited. So, this

is the two opinion of the scholars so when we are offering the jihadi

Salah, the loud salah, what we should do is we should listen to

the Imam and the recitation of the Imam it is sufficient for the

people who are following the Imam. But in the to recovering the Imam

does not recite the restoration of the Glorious Quran loudly and does

not recite Surah Fatiha for example, in the Isha prayer, the

third Rakhine, the fourth taka, but natural we need to recite

Surah Fatiha and what natural in the series Allah in the silent

prayer as well were in the recitation of the Glorious Quran

is not done loudly by the Imam but not to the Imam and others need to

recite the Glorious Quran as well. So I hope that answers your
