Fariq Naik – Four Criteria for Repentance to be Accepted

As far as repentance is concerned,

there are 4 criteria of repentance.

The first is that

we need to

stop the act immediately. The second is that

we need to

ask forgiveness from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for

that particular act. The third is

that if we can repay it, we should

repay it back. For example, if you've robbed

something from someone, we should return it back

to him. And the 4th is that we

should make a strong resolution

that we will not

do that sin again.

These are 4 criteria of repentance

and if we are sincere repentance from Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he

will Insha'Allah

forgive us. One of the best times to

do dua

and to ask

for repentance from Allah

It is during the Tahjid prayer. It is

during the night prayer. During the last 1

third of the night. This is a crucial

time and I would request the brother and

sisters

that to make it a regular habit that

to offer the night prayer tajjud prayer. Especially

during the last 1 third of the night

and if we ask forgiveness from Allah Subhanu

wa Ta'ala during this time. Insha'Allah, a du'a.

Insha'Allah as applications,

it will be answered by Allah Subhanahu Wa

Ta'ala.
