medical doctors, that alcoholism, it is a disease.
If alcoholism is a disease, then it is
the only disease that is sold in bottles,
advertised in the newspapers,
in the magazines, on radio broadcast stations, on
television satellite channels. It is the only disease
that has license outlet to legally spread it.
That brings revenue for the government. It is
the only disease that destroys family lives, brings
violent deaths on highways. And it is the
only disease that increases crime.
And it is the only disease that has
no germ or viral cause.
That's the reason Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
is Surah Maidah, chapter number 5, verse number
90.
Are an abomination
from Satan's handiwork.
Abstain
from such abomination
that ye may prosper.
So alcoholism,
it is not a disease, but it's Satan's
handiwork. Abstain from it, that ye may prosper.
So most of the major world religious scriptures,
they prohibit having alcohol.
