Fariq Naik – Can a Non Traveller do Masah on Socks and for how long

So let's take the first question.

Can I do whoo and wear socks? And every time for a new Whoo, can I

just do masa on my socks? Is my wudu valid? I work in a health

care as a manager, and I cannot remove my socks for wudu every

time. Please answer my question does Aquila haha

there are several hadith of our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be

upon him that talk about Messiah that is wiping over the socks. So

it is permitted for you to wipe over your socks. But there are

basically four conditions

that you need to fulfill.

And then you can wipe all your socks. So there are basically four

conditions. The first condition is that you need to be in the state

of purity before wearing your socks. So the first is you need to

be in the state of purity. That is you need to be in the state of

voodoo before wearing your socks. So the moment you wear your socks,

you need to be in the state of voodoo. And our beloved Prophet

Muhammad peace be upon him. He said, It is mentioned in a hadith

wherein he tells movie Robin Saba, may Allah be pleased with him that

don't worry, for I wore them when I was clean. The second condition

is that the socks they should not have any impurity they should not

have any Natasa and our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon

him. He was leaving the Sahaba in prayer, along with the shoes on

and he removed his shoes during the prayer. So after he completed

the prayer, he tells the Sahaba that dzhabrail Ali Salam informed

me that there was some dirt on my shoes, that's the reason I removed

my shoes during the prayer. So from this Hadees, we understand

that if there is any Natasa on our clothes on our body on our shoes,

we should remove it before we offer salah. And if there's any

Naja or no socks. In this situation, we cannot wipe over the

socks, we need to remove this Natasa. The third is

that you can do masa over the socks only. When you're in the

state of minor impurity, as a beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be

upon him when he was traveling along with the Sahaba, he

commanded them to do Messiah to wipe over their socks for three

days and three nights when they were in the state of minor

impurity. And

they cannot wipe it if they were in the state of Geneva. So you can

wipe out the socks when you're in a state of minor impurity. And

you're doing boo boo. So in this situation, you can wipe over the

socks, for example, you have passed to urien, you have passed

wind, we have gone to sleep. And in this situation Yahoo has broken

and you follow all the conditions of doing massage before wearing

the socks. So in this situation, you can do massage or wear socks.

But if you are in the state of major impurity, that is, for

first opinion is were in a group of scholars they say that the

period of Messiah starts the moment your booty breaks. So for

example, on Monday, at 12pm You did your window and you wore your

socks. So now you're in the state of purity and at 2pm. On Monday

your window broke. So your period of masa will start for Monday 2pm

until the next day, that is Tuesday 2pm This is the first

opinion. The second opinion is and this opinion is doping of

syphilis, Chlamydia Tamia, may Allah have mercy on him wherein

the period of Messiah it starts after you do your boo boo. And the

first time when you have to wipe over your socks. So for example,

your wudu breaks and the first time after you wipe away your

socks, this is the time when the Messiah duration starts. So the

first time after your wudu breaks, and you do your boot again, I

You wipe all your socks. So from this time the duration starts. So

for the traveler, it is 72 hours for the person who is not

traveling it is plenty for us. So for example, if you did wudu on

Monday 12pm And you're woohoo, it broke on Monday 2pm But you did

your Google and you wiped all your socks at 3pm on Monday. So your

duration of masa will start from Monday 3pm and it will last until

Tuesday 3pm If you are not traveling for 24 us this is the

opinion of the second group of scholars and inshallah This is the

more correct opinion. So you can very well do Messiah that is

wiping over the socks but you should see to it that you fulfill

all these four conditions. When you want to do massage that is

wiping over the socks and there is no harm in doing massage. And this

is from the ease in the religion. Allah subhanaw taala has made it

easy for us. Imagine you going for work you are going outside and

every time you would have to remove your socks for doing good

oh it will be so difficult. But alhamdulillah it is the grace of

Allah subhanaw taala that he has made it easy for us that if we

fulfill all the conditions that are mentioned, then we can very

well to masa that is wiping over the socks
