There's a question, does one go through the
conditions of Tawba to check them off?
Like a list, there's only 3 conditions and
they're interrelated.
One has remorse,
remorse entails
we leave the sin. You someone can't say
I repent to Allah and they're drinking wine.
They leave the sin
there and then if they're and they resolve
not to return to it. There's there's 3
and they're interrelated. That's all there is to
Tawba. And of course, to the extent that
one
stirs one's resolve
to rectify
that is true repentance. Said said
repentance
is that you
leave the sin and never return to it.
But we also know
that repentance,
the key to repentance is to make good
ones repentance. Imam Junaid Al Bardadi said
Repentance is for you not to remember your
sin.
Right? You you move on.
And he was asked how why would you
not remember your sin?
He
said,
Because
remembering the bad times
when times are good is
a bad time.
And what we seek is safa,
is to have
purity and limpinity in one's relationship with Allah.
As
Ibn al Farid put it,
right? To have that limpinity of presence with
Allah.
Purity without water,
and subtlety without wind,
light without fire,
and spirit
without body.
A reality eternal
before beyond creation,
without
ever without form,
and without body.
