And it is even more so a blessing for those who recognize that it's a blessing upon them. Right. And I think we use the example before, but I don't remember if it was in this Hanukkah or before Ramadan, the example of the person who's sick, right, a person who is sick, they realize now that this is let's just say, you know, they've been diagnosed with with some sort of illness. And Allah subhanho wa Taala is testing them with that hardship. Now

This, you know, this difficult moment, which a lot of people feel there's a punishment upon them, right? Why is it that I'm going through this, I've always done good, you know, towards Allah subhanho wa Taala I don't deserve this. And then they start to complain about, you know, someone who maybe was not worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala, as someone

who was not as practicing a Muslim as they were, or they're not even a believer, in the oneness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And yet they're enjoying their life. They're, you know, vacationing all the time, they have all the luxuries that you could possibly think of, and even more and so this person starts to think well, why what's the point? There's, there's no need for me to continue pushing myself look at what I've gotten from Allah subhana wa Tada, this is what I get from working so hard from dedicating so much of my life from sacrificing from striving so hard, this is the reward that I get from Allah Subhana Allah tan, so they sway away slightly from the deen. Some people even sway

far away from the deen, this same person, we sometimes go to the other extent, like I used the example last time I went to the other end of the spectrum, a person who wasn't practicing. But let's just say it's the same person who maybe was practicing, or possibly wasn't, you know, worshiping the last panel it at it, maybe it was not praying regularly, maybe it was not fasting, or maybe they work. But now they receive this illness. And they think Subhana Allah, this is a blessing. Why? Because I remember Allah subhana wa tada more. I recognize Allah subhanho wa Taala. I know that he's the one that gave me this illness. And there must be a reason why I received this. There has to be

some blessing, some Baraka some goodness that comes from this. And so how do we know that a person who's sick, a person who's ill, someone who doesn't feel well, even if it's a simple cough or a sore throat, a discomfort to the body, Allah subhanho wa Taala is removing the sins that we've committed in our past. Right, so a person who has an extreme or a severe type of illness, some sort of difficult moment where maybe even the doctors have told them you know what, you're not going to live for much longer. This time, this stage that you're at in your illness, you're not going to live for another three months, you're not going to live for more than six months, right? You have one to one

you know, my sister in law's future father in law just recently was given one to five months to live by the doctors. And Allah Subhana. Allah knows best. My wife's sister she was once diagnosed with with brain tumors. And the doctor said, You know what, you're at one of the last stages you only have about six months left to live, and she lived another three years after that. So Allah Subhana Allah, Allah is the one who controls the body and has the ability to remove the same illnesses that he put into the body. We see people so tantalize seen it, right where we go to Mecca,

and people right in front of the camera. I remember once I was there and handle an incident of a person who was pretty much paralyzed, literally walked out of their their wheelchair in front of the Capitol was making their eyes so sincerely to a loss of habitat. And the the emotion and affection of the family was like, everyone just stopped in the life everyone was just looking what on earth just happened here. And this person was crying in tears because they were standing for the first time in years, just stood up out of their wheelchair, so a loss of handle it and it has the ability to give people and to take from us and those that recognize what has been given to them from Allah

Subhana Allah to Allah know that this could be a blessing. This could be something that stops me from going to sin. This could be something that stops me from seeing sin. This could be something that stops me from engaging in sin in some way, shape or form. On two verses 68 to 70, Allah subhana wa tada here mentions the trumpet. Right and we discussed the trumpet to before. And so Allah mentions the blowing of the trumpet, which will signify the ending of the world or the ending of time as in the earth. And the blowing of the trumpet, as we mentioned, there's the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that the angels head is already bowed down, and he's ready and holding the trumpet ready to blow it ready to receive the command from Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And so that signifies the beginning of the day of judgment, from versus 71 to 74 Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions the disbelievers and how they will be led to help and we touched upon this yesterday, the disbelievers the those that don't believe in Allah Subhana Allah He will command the angels to go into gather them, and to lead them towards Johanna. But before they actually get to Jehan them, they will be stopped and told that they need to go through the questioning period. here Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions the disbelievers and how they will be led to hell. But then immediately afterwards a lot goes into the verses which touch upon the believers

As mentioned in the verse they will be given Salaam they will be welcomed with a Salam or Aleikum, right or salaamu alaykum as Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran, and the gates of Paradise will be open for them and they will enter the gates of paradise. And it was mentioned by the scholars have to see it from obviously looking at the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam that the space between the two posts of the gates of Jenna right so this is a post and this is a post this space between the two posts of gender, the gates going into gender is the distance of traveling 40 years.

And while we're in Paradise, we have to do certain things to get another reward, which is going to be you know, something else was handled. I told him, No, you'll be there forever. He's like, what do you mean forever, like infinity and like, yeah, like infinity and beyond? So So kind of lost. That even in our youth in our children. You know, they wonder what is Jenna? How long will we be there? And then this one brother he was asking me afterwards about john num. He said, What about john them is john I'm going to be forever said yeah, jahannam is going to be forever as

well. And and then he started to ask questions to clarify. Like, how how, like, what, what is the time span of forever, there must be a time span like it has to end? And I said, No, it doesn't end last panels, Allah created it and has the ability to make it go forever. For eternity, it just keeps going and going. That's how realize as human beings, we can't even comprehend it. I remember you know, many years ago, I sat there and I questioned the same thing. Like not questioned it but tried to

Forgive forgiveness as as the brothers were saying is from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Right He forgives kind of like what I mean was it was mentioning that it's it's the the reaction or the outcome of your Toba but you're telling that itself is what you're making to a last panel attack. But Allah Subhana Allah as well as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam encouraged us to seek forgiveness. How do we seek forgiveness, because we're also encouraged to seek Toba? So what's the difference between forgiveness and Toba?

Now, Toba, you may have done something or we may have done something that was wrong and we wronged either someone else or ourselves or you know, we've done something against the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So we seek Toba and then we fulfill the conditions which is to leave off the the sin not to go back to the sin we hate the sin dislike it. If you've wronged anyone, then you go and you approach them and you, you

know, clarify it to them as well. But forgiveness is something you could simply do as you walk, you might not even know what you're asking forgiveness for. Right? You're just asking for forgiveness, because we constantly do sins, we're committing sins, small sins all the time. So to say a stone federal law, a struggle, federal law, a stone federal law is seeking forgiveness, right? But what are you saying I stole federal law front? Or for? What have you done that you're saying this stuff that a lot. Many of us don't know what we've done, but we've done little sins, so many that we can't count them, we can't remember them. They just become you know, they added into our book of, of

deeds. And so to constantly seek forgiveness is important. ask Allah Subhana Allah to forgive us to forgive us to forgive us to forgive us to forgive us, right? But then Toba itself is specific. Also, you're asking for Toba, you're repenting for something that you've done that you know that you've done, because you need to fulfill those conditions. Right? So you actually are aware of what you're doing here and Allah subhanho wa Taala highlights it in these first few verses in verse number three, and it's the month of Ramadan,

and the last 10 nights of Ramadan as well. And this is particular to an action that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to do, as I showed all the 11 hotels us the profits on longer and he was selling them during the last 10 nights. Just say something that reminds the animal of Allah subhana wa Tada. Or recite some verse of the Quran, recite sort of a class and watch the behavior of the animals. Try it when

you go to the zoo, go to the zoo this summer, take your children take you know your grandchildren, and go to the zoo and tell them say watch, we're going to do this, right? Try it with the lions, even if you can, right, so paddle. That's amazing. It's absolutely beautiful to see how the animals react when they hear the word of Allah subhanho wa Taala, or the name of Allah subhanho wa Taala, right? They just become so like calm and they turn their ear and they just want to listen, and like what is this? And you notice they were just doing their normal thing. But when you recite the verses of the Quran, they all of a sudden Listen, and we see it in the example of the profits of the past

That in itself is the praise of Allah subhanho wa Taala it's fulfilling the command that it was given by Allah subhanho wa Taala that's the praise of a lot. So in anything that we see, right like this, it's shiny, Mashallah looks nice, right? A lot of gave it the power to be shiny, and by it being shiny, it's fulfilling the commands of Allah subhana wa Tada.

then it wouldn't be fulfilling the command of a law unless it was commanded by loss of hand with Allah to do that, right. And then it's also fulfilling the praise of Allah. So in anything, whatever item you see, whatever from amongst the creation, but you notice, and it's sitting there doing like, for example, your phone, I hate to use the phone because sometimes this phones are like, overused, but the phone itself was given to us and to serve a purpose and its purpose was given

Written are commanded by Allah subhanho wa Taala to fulfill that that purpose, and by doing so it's praising Allah subhanho wa Taala. right because it's fulfilling the command that it was given by its creator.

And so Allah subhana wa tada mentions the angels here, and how they are holding the throne of Allah subhanho wa Taala and praising Allah in verse number 14, and I can't see the clock so it's kind of throwing me off today. In verse number 14, Allah Subhana Allah commends us to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala alone, even if the circumstances are hard, so we took this in the previous sutra and a lot goes on to mention it a little bit here as well to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala meclizine Allahu Deen wello carry healthcare for your own. Even if the circumstances are hard to the extent that the non Muslims, the non believers are making it difficult upon you or they hate what you're doing. But

Then in verses 18 to 20, Allah subhana wa tada warns about the day that we will stand before him and I want to read these verses in sha Allah and warn them of the day that draws near when hearts when hearts shall rise up to the throats, grieving inwardly. grieving inwardly the unjust shall not have any compassionate friend, nor any nor any intercessor who should be obeyed.

In verse number 19, Allah subhanho wa Taala says,

He knows the fraud of the eyes or the stealthy looks, and that which the the chest conceal. So Allah subhanho wa Taala knows what we see with our eyes and what we saw with our eyes during our life and what we use our eyes for. And Allah Subhana Allah mentions that he knows what we conceal inside of us the secrets that are inside of us. And therefore there's nothing that can stand or none that can stand before I lost some kind of what I learned from amongst us or any of the creation, right, that can hide something from Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, and on the Day of Judgment, Allah will, will reveal that which the hearts conceal.
