So we're just going to go through, please excuse my notes, I know you can see them in this version. And that's because the camera angle, whatever. That's just the way I have it set up for today.
Today's halaqa insha Allah Allah, we will go through verses,
we'll just going to go through a few more verses of sort of, to hedge, and then we will go through so me known

So we have a lot to cover in sha Allah. And we'll try to do it as efficiently as possible in sha Allah, Allah. If the light is okay, and everything's fine, this is good. I'm liking this, I think I'm going to start doing this from home more often.
So we begin with Surah Al Hajj and we had mentioned yesterday that we began from verses number five to seven. And we discussed how Allah subhanho wa Taala describes the creation of Allah right describes the creation of us human beings and how we are as a creation. And we ended with that yesterday in our Hanukkah, but Allah subhana wa attallah goes on to say,
after he says that, there will be some from amongst us that will be taken early, as in we will be given death and and we will leave this world early. And Allah subhanho wa Taala goes on to say in verse number five, sort of to hedge for those that are just tuning in. And among you is He who is returned to the most, you know, decrepit or old age, so that he knows. And somehow that's really interesting for us, because a lot of us will, hopefully a lot of us will experience life. It's various different stages. And the last panel with Anna will also give us old age for those that reach that stage. And what's really interesting about old ages, how Allah Subhana waits and it goes
through all the stages mentioned in verse number five. But we also see the childhood phase how Allah subhana wa, tada brings us from childhood to a young adult to someone who's a little bit older.
You know, we have strength, we're 3035 40 years old, we go through university, we finish that we get a nice job and we start to increase in our salaries, we start to increase in our position at our job, we start to increase in our family, well being etc. So you might notice maybe you got married as a student, and you didn't really have much to provide for yourself and your and your wife, for example, at the time or your husband depending on you know, whether you're a man or woman and you go through those phases and you go through those stages where eventually somehow Allah, Allah gives you a little more wealth. So you start to live a little more comfortably. You may have not had a car for
the first few years. But then attempted a lot you know a lot allowed you to purchase a car through the wealth that he gave you, then you realize that you have a nice home instead of living in an apartment, you might move into a house or you might rent a house instead of purchasing the house maybe you can't afford to purchase it yet. And so your lifestyle becomes a little bit more comfortable, you start to do things in a different way, etc.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us there how you know as time goes on, and things change from the phase in life where you leave early, as in you might be 3035 years old, and I gave an example a friend of mine yesterday was just about 30 years old. You know who left this world Allah subhana wa tada took him back yesterday. You see how you start to get older. And when we get older we return to that childhood phase we start to we start to no longer be able to do things on our own. Like you might go outside in the winter and shovel the snow. But as you get older you can no longer shovel that snow. You need help you need assistance from someone who's going to come maybe shovel the snow
at your house. You know you're not going to go and play ice hockey anymore because you're scared of falling down and breaking some bones and if you do break bones, then those bones
Not going to heal as quickly as they used to when you were 3040 years old, or maybe even, you know, 1520 years old. So Allah subhanho wa Taala changes that situation for us our stages that we go through in life, then you get even older, you're no longer shoveling the driveway, you probably can't even drive anymore on your own. And then you go through the phases where you might need someone to feed you, you're extremely old, where you can't feed yourself anymore. You need someone to feed you, then you go through the phase of you can't use the bathroom anymore. You now need to wear diapers, just like he used to wear diapers when you were young. But now the people that are
changing your diapers are no longer your parents because they're long gone, your children are changing your diapers just like you change their diapers. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the cycle of life and it's really important for us to understand that as as strong as we get and as powerful as you might think you are and as you know, as much wealth as you might be able to accumulate and save and use for yourselves and ourselves. Allah subhanho wa Taala had it still takes that away from us without you know us being able to benefit from it. You might have loads and loads of wealth, but you still need to wear a diaper. You know you still need to have someone wash you
give you a shower and give you a bathtub Panama. And so these are all things that loss of handle which Allah teaches us here in these verses of the Quran.

a warning and he warns us against doing evil in Makkah. He discusses the building of the carrabba Ibrahim and he has said he discusses sacrificing an animal and of course this is sort of a hedge. So this surah discusses hedge, the different things that take place the things we need to know about hedge who built the Kaaba, you know, at home and so on and so forth, what's permissible, what's not permissible during Hajj, the sacrificing of the animal, the types of animal and so on all of that, you know, we learn through these verses, and obviously through the explanation and the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So I don't want to go into too much detail with regards to this.
Because usually for someone who is going for Hajj, we will prepare a hedge course and in sha Allah how to how to do that hedge course. And we'll say, Okay, so the time for us has already come and gone. It's almost time for a moment. And just before mclubbe, you'll realize let's say let's say for the sake of the example that
we're about to give right now, let's just say the acid is at six o'clock pm, exactly six o'clock.
And it's 555. But you need to go use the bathroom. However, you don't want to go and use the bathroom because you're thinking to yourself, you know, there's just five minutes left. My prayer is that prayer going to be a prayer where we're concentrating? Obviously not, it's not going to be a prayer where somehow that we're going to be, you know, fully devoted to our slaughter, you're going to be standing there praying, coming up and
rushing through your scholastically so that you can finish quickly and go and use the bathroom Subhana Allah and that's something that a lot of us do. A lot of us do that and we ask ourselves how can I get Whoa, shorten my saw how can I concentrate to a lesson handle it and it? Well, it's very simple. If you're not focusing on your slide out because you need to go use the bathroom, then that's the first thing that we should eliminate. Go use the bathroom first. Make will be nice and fresh and at ease and begin your sauna. You know, take a child who memorizes sort of to feel the last 10 sutras of the Quran. And they memorized sort of to feel and mtel Okay, without a book having been in the field, when they hear that they're like, oh, Subhanallah I know this surah I know it. Yeah, let me let me listen closely, right? And so you yourself when you're praying, you're gonna recite things that you're familiar with, that you're aware of, and try to understand what you're reciting. Don't just recite verses of the Quran simply because it's all that and I have to. So people come and ask this question, What do I have to recite after sort of to the Fatiha like, is there
specific verses or specific places of the Quran where I must recite No, there is nothing that you must recite or must not recite, recite from Mateus, amin Al Quran, whatever is easy for you as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam teaches us whatever parts of the Quran are easy for you to understand or easy for you to recite or easy for you to remember, recite from that. And also what's easy for you, you might say, you know what I know all sorts of bacala. But it's not easy for me to recite that at fauja Fine, then recite just a part of it a page, half a page, a few verses, whatever is easy for you to recite. And so by doing that, you will see that, you know, you'll recite things
that you have more crucial and more devotion, more concentration.
And then
this is the downside to teaching at home. My daughter woke up and comes to my door and my door is locked. And so I have to go unlock the door and she needed to use the bathroom. So
okay, so saying how when you're reciting from the verses of the Quran, and you you you understand those verses you learn them when you were a child, you gain more coursework, more devotion, more concentration in your Salah. So that's important for us to try and focus on and this is, like I said, one of the reasons why. And you'll notice a lot of you who have prayed sought out behind me, I usually stick to the last half of the 30th Joseph, because that is usually the part of the end that the majority of the people know. And if you recite it to them in a way that they will understand it, they will grasp it, they'll feel like Wow, this is so loud, like I'm praying sought out. And and
they'll feel it in Charlottetown. And we ask Allah Subhana Allah to make that easy for us. Then he goes on in verse number three, when Medina who many lovely more added on, and they who turned away from ill speech. So don't just waste your time talking about things joking around wasting your time or saying things that you just don't need to say, Don't waste your time with things like that. Don't back by it. And somehow this is the month of Ramadan. This is a time in the year where we feel, you know, the hunger inside of us and we feel that connection with Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so it's important for us to immediately
remind ourselves when we feel that hunger that you know what I'm fasting and I'm fasting for Allah. And this is something that reminds me to stay away from all the evils that are out there. backbiting, stealing, cheating, whatever it is, we ask Allah Subhana Allah is added to help us. So the believers and those who succeed are those who turn away from ill speech when you are with a group of friends and they're talking about nonsense or they're backbiting others, hello, stop and leave. And so hello, one of the one of the really interesting things in dealing with our communities. You know, I spend a lot of time in various different massages, I go from one cluster to
another, I go from one city to another, I go to one country, from one country to another country. So I've handled a lot of time traveling. And I notice how a lot of people tend to criticize others in the masjid, while sometimes sitting, you know, after Salatu Juma when the topic was, you know, purification of the soul and part of the topic was maybe, you know, not talking about others and not backbiting some handler immediately after Salah, we begin backbiting others kind of like I don't understand how we do this. And but you know, that's just, that's the way we are Subhanallah and we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to constantly help us to remind ourselves and this is why in the call to
analog reminds us, and they are those who turn away from ill speech, when we hear others talking about something that we're not supposed to be talking about, we simply move away from it, and somehow we leave, even if we have to leave or we just stop them and tell them you know, please remember we just heard the footnote, this is something we shouldn't be talking about and follow us and that topic right there. And so someone who did goodness in this life, they will receive goodness in their grave and this is why I always love to make the dua to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah when someone passes away, we ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to grant them a wide open, sweet smelling beauty
garden of Paradise in their grave, as in the grave that they're placed in, is wide open. It's not something that, you know, we learned through the son of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam will crush the ribs of a person to the extent that their ribs will go like this. That's that's the person who did evils and Bad's and disbelief etc. And we leave this up to Allah subhanho wa Taala we're not the judges, he's the judge. Their ribs will cave in like this. And then Allah subhana wa tada shows us those that believed the grave will be wide, right? It'll be it'll be a time of ease, it'll be something that, you know, they will experience and enjoy it. And they will be able to, you know,
smell the smells and the sense of of Paradise coming their way. It's not the actual scent of Paradise, but it's hints of it that is coming their way. So kind of, and this is why somehow you know, part of being a believer is to wear things like this where perfumes were things that some have a lot remind you of goodness, you feel good. You don't feel bad, because that stinks, right? No, you put on perfume and you feel good. Somehow you're always motivated to do something that's good. Or I know the sisters are gonna say well, wait a second. I thought we're not supposed to wear perfume in or out. You know, you could put on deodorant and stuff like that, that make us feel good. Take a
shower, make sure you feel fresh. Make sure that you're someone who's always motivated to do good. If you're someone who always feels

These are all things that we need to ask ourselves because, you know, we when we when we make we'll do five times a day for our salt out we feel good, right and this that's part of our Deen and the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he would put perfume on him to the extent that he shadow the lover and she would take their eyes off. Right and she would pour it into her hands and she would rub her hands and put it on the chest on the chest of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and rub it on his shoulders and his chest. And then he would put his garment on before going out. She would rub it right on his skin. So Pamela and you know, she would also take her miswak eyeshadow Viola and she would moist it in her mouth. And then she would put it in the mouth of the prophets of Allah and he would send them to clean his mouth before he left his home. He was going to address the people he
was he was the leader of the Ummah of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and we know that we need to feel good and look good and be presentable. And you know very well when you go to a wedding for example, you put on a nice you know, suit or you put on a nice stove or you put on a nice dress for the sisters, you know, have the lovely dress up nicely and they have their own secluded areas. And but you feel good, you feel really, really good. You feel like oh wow, this is not even my wedding day, but I feel like it is you just feel like panela This is amazing. And therefore Allah subhanho wa Taala
you know, wants us to always be people that are good, that do righteousness, and that will that will hammer I feel good and interact with other people in a good way. And I don't know how we went off on this tangent and I'm doing that today simply because we have loads of time on our hands because I'm not

Okay, so we move on to sorta to know, okay, so to know,
in order to know, which is the 24th surah of the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala begins the surah, in verses number six to nine showing us about Leon. Leon is the accusation of a spouse to the other, more particularly, it's the accusation of the husband of the wife. So the husband accuses the wife of doing something that is not permissible, maybe having an affair or something of that sort, which is really what we're talking about, not something of that sort is actually that sorts, but then somehow they take it back. And this is something that we need to learn in depth. But here Allah subhanho wa Taala shows it to us, that the husband might accuse the spouse using he accuses the
wife, and she might be someone who is deserving of the punishment islamically however, however, and of course, this doesn't apply here. It applies only in countries that actually implement the Islamic laws, but we're just teaching it so that we know, and this is where Allah Subhana, Allah gives the wife the ability to stand strong against her husband's word. And a lot of people say Islam promotes, you know, strength in masculinity, and it doesn't encourage women to have a stance, it doesn't give them their own word, they don't have the ability to speak up against injustices. That's not true. And that's wrong here. Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in these verses six to 10. And we need the
explanation of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, of course, to understand it fully. It shows us that a husband who accuses his wife of having an affair, she can stand against his accusation, and testify four times in front of four witnesses and say, no, this is not true. This is completely false. And she testifies that it's wrong. And her word stands above his, as in, she will not receive the punishment, because she says, and testifies in front of the in front of a judge, of course, that she did not commit that action that she is that she is being accused of. And the fifth time that she says it, that she testifies that, you know, she's being falsely accused.
That shows that if so, so what of what a woman needs to understand is when she does that, she is proving to the judge and to her husband to everyone else around that. She is saying, I will take my punishment with Allah in the hereafter. And not over here, I'm proving that I did not do anything wrong. And I will receive my punishment later on with Allah subhana wa tada if I am actually wrong. So this goes to show us how a woman can stand strong.
Who can who can actually get herself out of that situation? By testifying and saying, No, I did not do this. And she has the final word, she has the ability to say no, I'm not going to receive this punishment, because I did not do anything that was wrong. And so Islam gives that ability to the wife, to the woman to actually, you know, save herself and protect herself. When people say oh, a man's word is taken over a woman's word here Allah subhana wa tada shows us and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam actually did this to one of the female companions. She who came in front of him and testified and said, No, I didn't do this. I didn't do it. I didn't do it. I didn't do it,
she did five times. And so kind of I ended up being it ended up
being a case where she did have an affair. But she said, I will take I will take my punishment with Allah, I will leave this, you know, to stand before Allah subhanho wa Taala and not receive any punishment here and she didn't receive any punishment. She delivered the child, she immediately you're immediately at that point in time immediately divorced systemically. We need to go through it in detail, but we'll just you know, touch the surface. You're immediately separated, you're no longer married, the marriage is completely nullified. He has to give her the Maha right he has to give her them a hug. It's not like oh, you cheated on me now you got to give it back. No, has to
give them a hug. And even if she did do something that was wrong, she does not receive the punishment in this world. Allah Subhana Allah to Allah will take justice on the Day of Judgment for whoever was right or wrong. We move on to verses 11 to 2111 to 21 have sought to know what Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the had the Hadith or if what happened during the time of if which is the time where I shut up the Ummah and how was falsely accused of having some sort of private time with self one even more have been and Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us there that he comes to the rescue of a Chateau de Allahu Allah and protects the honor
of the family of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So verses 11 to 21. Allah shows us the incident of if and how he shall be a lover and how she was traveling with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and she tells us this, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to draw lots so for example,
you know, with his with his wives, yes, the Prophet sallallahu Sallam didn't have only one wife after he died, I'll be alone, he had a few, right? So he used to, and that's not our topic, he used to draw a lot. So he would tell his wives like, okay, choose one of these. And one of these will indicate which one of you is going to come with him on that expedition when he was traveling somewhere. And so he would take one of his wives along with him.
So they drew lots each one of the wives took one of the one of the, you know, the sticks or whatever was used, and the one that was marked, that, you know, that wife would go on the journey at this point in time, it was a shot of the lung on her. So she says, I got to go with the prophets that along with us on them on this journey. And while they were on the journey, just before they went out on that journey, it was the time that Allah subhana wa went to Hana, Ted commanded hijab upon the wives of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, as if they had to remain fully covered, like, you know, Nicola, or whatever. So she used to travel in her house edge, which was like a kind of like a
canopy that you would put on top of the camel and travel and at night, you'd take it off, it's kind of like your tent. So your tent would be what you sleep in at night. And during the day, when your writing, you place it back on top of the camel, or it would be carried by a few depending on, you know, the situation at the time. So she was inside of there, and they stopped to rest. And she had to go use the bathroom. So she went and don't, don't forget, like they lived at a time when they didn't have bathrooms. And so she she wandered away out into the, into the desert to find some privacy to use the bathroom. She finishes using the bathroom and she comes back as she comes back,
she touches her neck and she realizes the necklace that she had on that was a little bit of a value to her. She had lost it and must have broken and had fallen down. So she went back to try and find the necklace. When she goes to try and find the necklace. She comes back to the camp and she realizes that the camp had moved on. And they thought that I shall do love I'm whoa is actually inside of the house inside of that little tent. And they had picked up the tent. And they moved on with the with the Muslim caravan that was traveling.
Now a lot of people say, Well, why is it that they didn't know I show wasn't in there. Like they picked it up? Didn't they feel that the weight was different. And I showed what the law actually tells us in the Hadith that, you know, it was at a time where a woman was very slender and slim. And they would only eat a mouthful of food. Right? They didn't have that much food to begin with. And so a woman would be slender and slim. And they couldn't tell the difference in the weight. So Pamela she was young. And she was also you know, slim lighten in weight. And so when they picked it up, they they they couldn't tell if she was in it or if she wasn't in it. So Pamela, and so they raised
it up, they put it on, you know, they picked up her heritage and they started to leave, they left. She comes back and she doesn't find them there.
So she says you know what, let me just go to the place where where we were resting. And let me sit there and someone will realize that I am not with them. And eventually they will come back of course the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was traveling with them. They reach all the way back to Medina and Subhana Allah, where's that? Aisha? She's not there. Now, so step one, he comes by Viola. And he had he had stopped, you know, behind the caravan. And this was something that they would do out of
out of out of protection for the
for the for the Muslims that were traveling, so they would have people set that would they would send ahead of the caravan. And there would be people that were lagging behind. In case enemies were coming from behind to try and attack than the person who's traveling behind the Muslim army or the Muslim camp, we should say the caravan, they would see that the enemies are approaching and they would quickly write ahead to the Muslims and say hey, guess what, the enemies are coming up behind us. So prepare yourselves.
So the prophets of Allah and he was one of them, you know, they reach
Medina and they realize that Subhana Allah at the shadow of the Allah and has not there a little time later. Step one enters Medina with a shot of the Allah Anna. He had seen her when he was traveling back because he was the one that stayed behind the Muslim caravan. He noticed that Chateau de la was there on the ground. Lane. But this is the wife of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Ayesha, who was traveling with him. How is it that she's laying in the sand? Like what is she doing in the middle of the desert all alone? What must have happened and so he disembarked from from I believe he was riding a camel if I'm not mistaken, he disembarks and he lowers the camel and she gets on and they didn't speak and they go all the way back to Medina. And when they reach Medina Subhana Allah rumors had spread that they had done
something together that they should not have done together, which was not true. And this is why Allah subhana wa tan and verses 11 to 21 comes to the safety and protection of the lover in the house of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam the family of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and reveals that she was innocent, and her innocence was proven not by any human being. It was proven by Allah subhanho wa Taala. Like how great is the hot shot of the lover Anna with a loss of Hannah with Allah to the extent that he comes to her safety, he comes to testify, you know, obviously sends the verse down to to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he himself physically doesn't come, okay.
People need to know that I'm seeing a mad face go across my screen. I'm like, Okay, this person doesn't understand. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala protects the honor of a shout out the Allahu anhu and shows us indicates to us that she was innocent. And you know, the incident is clarified and those that spoke about a shadow Viola and how you can read through that there. Verses 11 to 21. Let's move on verses 27 to 29. In verses 27 to 29 of swords to know Knorr Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us?

And perhaps you will be reminded, how will you be reminded to handle that someone might come over to your house and they just barge into your house? How would you feel? Now so Pamela, it's important for us to seek permission before we enter anyone's house.
And this is part of our Deen it's part of our religion. And a lot of people say that Islam is a religion of, you know, terrorism and a religion that doesn't respect others and a religion that you know, just imposes itself upon others. No, it doesn't. Islam is a religion that teaches us to handle that ask for permission before we even enter the house of someone else. It's not my home. And I know everyone's gonna say Well, yeah, that's super simple. Like you just ring the doorbell and you walk in No, if you're in someone's home, let's say you arrive at someone's house, they invited you to that house and you say, Excuse me, can I can I use your bathroom and to go to the bathroom, they
tell you Okay, just go down the hallway pass all the bedrooms and the bathroom is the last room on the right at the end of the hallway. So you finished using the bathroom on your way back. You're not to poke your nose into someone else's room. You're not to go into this room and go into that room and see Oh, Mashallah lay there. Oh well Mashallah, look at that. They have a waterbed. Oh, look at the size of their furniture. So look to have a nicer You know, there's some nice decorations in the room. You're not to poke your nose inside other people's business. So some handler it's important for us to to make sure and I'm just moving closely so I could read the responses.
Yes, that's another thing somehow that especially sometimes you know, the women of the house might not be wearing Hijab which is another reason why you know you might go into the bathroom and come out but if you go into another room, there might be the the family of that person in that room and somehow you simply barge into their room you're not you know barging in but you're curious you're going into the wrong room and somehow you end up seeing something that is not helpful for you to see. does not come alone item for for that suggestion or recommendation advice, reminder
We move on to the next verse, verse number 31, which is a powerful verse And Allah subhanho wa Taala here turns the tables because a lot of the time we actually focus on
the, the men and we tell men how you should not be looking at women lower your gaze. And then women say, Well, wait a second, what is it? We're made? Like, we're some sort of a sex tool or something like, men can't control themselves. They're always looking at us. Why is it that Islam makes us feel like we're, we're the problem in society. You're not the problem in society. Sisters, Allah Subhana. Allah tells you here in verse number 31, you sisters need to lower your gaze when you're looking at others. So lower your eyesight, look down, don't and Subhanallah this, this doesn't refer to the to the first eyesight or, you know, the first glance when you're looking at someone to try and identify
them. Nor does it refer to in our scholars go further to explain it. It does not refer to you looking at a woman who you have no desire for, it's the glands of desire. That second glance that's referred to is the glands of desire, when you look at someone and you look away, and they're like, Whoa, and then you look back, you're like, Mashallah, right. So kinda, it's the second glance, which is the glands of desire. That is not permissible somehow, and we need to be careful of that. And here Allah subhanho wa Taala warns the women and so women pay attention because I know that 71% of those that that respond to my posts and so on on Facebook, and my wife is watching right now she's
gonna say, How do you know that? Because it could show us the analytics show that 71% is actually women. So So Pamela here I know that the majority of the people watching are probably women. Here's a good message for you sisters. Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in verse number 31
What good lil minute you have not been absorbed when we open the photo. Johanna? Allah subhanho wa Taala shows the women lower your eyesight if you see something from another man, and I know there's a brother who just commented and he's a really really good looking brother, Mashallah, who lives on the other side of the world? And I know sisters somehow if they see a brother like this, they would they would like wow, Mashallah really tall handler very good brother, you know, well off Alhamdulillah. And I hope his wife is not watching as well, because she's gonna say, hey, this isn't right. Why is why is he talking about my husband, but somehow this brother I know for a fact that
his sister see him too. Like, Oh, my gosh, I'd love to marry this brother. I'd love to, you know, some kind of law, he would be a good husband, even though they don't even know his behavior. They don't know his personality. They don't know anything about him. They don't know his bank account nothing, but simply to look at someone and then that second glance here, Allah subhanaw taala warns the women and this is important for us to point out because a lot of the time the brothers and I know the brothers are going to stand strong, they're going to say, yeah, you tell them right. It's not. It's not that the brothers are constantly hunting down the sisters and looking at sisters or
looking at women in general. It's natural human, you know, desires. Allah Subhana. Allah tells us Xueyan and NSE her boost chahatein mina Nisa, for men he created, you know part of our desire to desire women.
And then he goes on, there's a list of things we desire women that's natural men desire women, and naturally women desire men. And here Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us that women desire men because he tells the believing women lower your eyesight as well. He goes on in this verse in verse number 31, have sought to nor he goes on to explain to the believing women,
the importance of hijab, the importance of wearing loose fitting clothing more particularly the abaya, which is an outer garment that you wear over your clothing. And so when you're inside of your home, you could wear whatever you want. We're not going to get into details, but somehow when you go outside we need to be modest, both men and women. And this is not only for the for the women, but we know that we always you know emphasize a lot on certain things. And we have to turn the tables always it has to be for men and women. Also, another thing that at the end of the verse how Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us really importantly, while you're good in the arrow, Julie hiner, Li your
lm your feen zenity hiner Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us here in the last part of the verse that believing women should not stomp their feet on the ground, revealing their you know, revealing their beauty and a lot of the time you know, what what's being referred to when you're revealing adornment is anklets which is very commonly used even up until today in the Arabian Peninsula, women you know, Arab women love to wear jewelry and one of the types of jewelry that they like to wear is anklets and anklets that usually have little things dangling on them. So when you walk you hear that ching ching ching ching you hear this you know dangling of jewelry. But another thing that one of our
teachers in fact quite a few of our teachers in Medina taught us Is this also applies to high heeled shoes. You know when a woman is wearing high heeled shoes, there's a few things that happen first of all,

Right there walking and you hear that click, click, click click of the high heeled shoe SubhanAllah. That's one thing. What does that do? As soon as you hear that, click, click, your attention is drawn into that person, you might hear someone behind you who's wearing those high heeled shoes and
you're hearing it and you turn around just to see what it is it naturally grabs your attention. Your brain might not even process that there's a woman wearing high heeled shoes behind me, but you hear the click, click, click, click and you turn around just to see what it is. It's natural. That's the first thing. And that's exactly what they want is that those shoes will draw the attention. First of all, grab you to turn and look that way. What's the second thing that high heeled shoes? Do scientists prove this? Okay, we don't need to say that. Oh, Sam is banning the use of high heeled shoes? No, no. What scientists say is that high heeled shoes reveal the form of a woman more than if
she wears flat shoes.
I'm just saying what the scientists say I actually have documentation to prove this right? You can just Google it. Google that and you'll find pictures of how parts of the woman's body are revealed more when she wears high heeled shoes. More particularly, you know my last name, think of my last name, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. Okay, that's that's the first thing that that sticks out more on a woman when she wears high heeled shoes. Secondly, her hips sway more. And when a man sees that, obviously we you know, he's drawn in and why do we do this? Why do we wear the high heeled shoes to make our legs look longer? Not so that we can be taller. Usually it's very rare that
a woman who short wore high heeled shoes because she just wants to be taller is to make make their legs look longer. And we know very well that part of beauty and women is to have long legs panela and so Allah subhana wa tada warns us about these things so that we can protect ourselves, protect ourselves from the harms at the beginning of surah Noor what Allah Subhana Allah discusses, we protect ourselves from that. And here Allah Subhana Allah is humbly you know, showing us the importance of it.
Give me my flash and flat Converse shoes any day, Mashallah flats all the way Look at that hamdulillah our sisters are encouraged to wear those flat shoes. And I'm not saying that wearing high heeled shoes is how long and not permissible. You might want to wear it in front of those that you're allowed to wear it in front of. That's fine. Nothing wrong with that. You might wear extremely, extremely loose clothing like an eye buyer. And even though you're wearing that value with high heeled shoes, no one could see your form. You will sway more that's natural but anonymously or form. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to make us do whatever is best and most pleasing to
Allah. So we strive for S and we strive to do what is best and most beloved to Allah Subhana without it, and that's what's important here. So I'm not saying that it is hot. Um, please don't get me wrong. I'm saying that it is something that the scholars say, applies to this part of the verse and those that say that this is referring to the high heeled shoes. Yes, they say that you should not be wearing the high heeled shoes outside and some of the scholars even say that it's not permissible to wear alumnos best, we know very well that high heeled shoes is actually very dangerous for the human body. It hurts the ankles, it hurts the toes, it hurts the heels, it hurts the knees, it hurts the
lower back, it hurts the upper back, it hurts the shoulder some panela constantly wearing them for a long time it's actually very very bad for the body. So we asked Allah Subhana Allah to annotate, encourage ourselves and others to help us to encourage ourselves and others to do what is best and most beloved to Allah subhana wa tada we move on. Verse number 35, the parable of light of Allah subhanho wa Taala the mood of Allah subhana wa Tada. And I'll go over this very quickly. You all know the verses. It's very beautiful to recite, but we're going to try and save a little bit of time in sha Allah Tada. So verse number 35.

It's vast and Allah subhanho wa Taala without needing anything extra, his new expands. And what is that? No, where is it coming from? It's coming from feeble youth in the houses of Allah subhanho wa Taala and that shows the importance of the mustard.
You know, the other day for Juma has a panel I went off on a tangent and I think because I'm tired during Ramadan or whatever it is the days or maybe it's the month of Ramadan Our hearts are softer and I was explaining the importance of the mustard and House of handle it's important for us to give to the mustard to maintain our massages to encourage ourselves to fund the masjid because our massage it in different parts of the world are funded by the government's right. I was living in Malaysia the massages are funded by the governments. And for the most for the most part, at least in Medina in Saudi Arabia in the UAE and different countries. Where is the the rewards coming from Allah subhanho wa Taala you're praying and congregation in the masjid it's coming down to the Imam and spreading from the mmm backwards through the rows back one row at a time and going from the middle of the row outwards. And this is why we form our rows from the middle outwards. In the mustard we form our rows from the mm right behind the Imam we start the rows and then we go outwards. And then we find that email let's say
that row is full the second row we find that Hmm, we start there in the middle. We don't start on this end or this end we start in the middle and then we form the rows outwards again. That's how our rows are formed in the sada in mustard. Now as for the sisters because I know people will say well we're sisters the majority of them watching our sisters Pamela How come they don't get to stand in the front row? How come the rewards come from the front row for the brothers and the sisters or all the way in the back? How is it that they're going to receive any of the rewards Allah subhana wa tada is not you know
Allah subhana wa tada is why is wiser than us. Don't think that a lot doesn't know this. He knows the best place for a woman to pray her prayer in the masjid is in the last row in the very back the last row. Why? Because we've made a mistake in our message of these days. I'm sad to say sorry to say it and that hamdulillah today we're not teaching in the masjid because usually in the massage, there's a pure partition between the men and the women. They'll miss the mustard of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam begin at the very sorry, it had no partition and the women would begin the rows at the very end.
Back of the mustard. Why?
Because the back of the mustard is where the wall is. Right? That's the end of the mustard. There's no one behind that. And so when a woman you know bows down and goes into the court goes into surgery, there's no one behind her. No one there to look at her, her sanctity is protected her, you know, there's there's modesty in her soul Alhamdulillah. And she's protected and Islam protects her even in her prayer, we don't want anyone to come in and to harm our women. So they're in the back, they're protected in the backward, no one is 100 in love, no one's going there, all the hustle and bustle is in the front. And we keep them there and the back rows are the safest. And then on the
back rows is where the the the blessings come to the more reward and then the rows moving forward. So it's the opposite for the women, the rows from the back are the are the rows that are most beneficial. The problem with our massage and today is we have a men's section and a woman section.
And the man is up here, and the men start to fill the rows this way going towards the back. And then the woman section starts here going towards the back. And when women come into the mustard, they come into the front rows of the masjid and they make the rows going towards the back.
Technically, there should be no barrier here. The women should also feel part of the congregation but not have the wall between them. They only have space distance between them. And so the the rows of the women begin at the back. And that's why they will stand at the back and the women that come in can walk in front of those rows, people are asking, how is it that you can walk in front of the rows. When you're praying in congregation you can walk in front of the rows of everyone men and women, it doesn't matter. The only person you cannot walk in front of is that Mmm, that's it. So you can walk let's say you break your boo boo. And you need to leave the Salah, walk in front of your
own go right to the end of the row and get out leave the masjid don't go through the back and break every single aisle trying to find your way you know, digging through this crowd of people just go right to the end of the row and Subhanallah leave through the door on the side if there's a door on the side or on the ends of the rows usually there's a little more space, just go out the backs, you know go out the back by using the end of the rows. And so somehow that's important for us to learn these little simple things in our Deen that we forget about and the mustard itself is the place of move. This is where Allah Subhana with Anna's noodle shines from and you'll see that there's these
little niches everywhere and every little in every city even the massive cities these little massage it everywhere. And that's where the note of Allah subhanho wa Taala comes from fee boo tin Mischka. They link together Allah Subhana with Allah is a niche of nor is the masjid in the city. Okay, so Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the power in the creation of the clouds in verse number 43 have sought to know what Allah subhana wa Jalla mentions. Do you not see that a lot drives the clouds like who makes the clouds moves and move in the sky. It's Allah subhanho wa Taala. Then he brings them together. We see clouds coming together. So kind of like the other day just last night there was this video circulating on the Internet of a cloud,
blocking the rays of the sun and the entire sky over the Kaaba overmuch is completely completely clear. There's no clouds, but there's one cloud blocking the sun that's shining down on muster, they'll hold on shining down on the counter and the people making the off and people make videos of that go to chef Yeah, Ibrahim's
go to his Facebook page. I believe he posted it up there. And I think he posted it on Instagram as well. You'll see it there on chef Yeah, but on him someone is sent it to him and he posted it up online.
You can see how the cloud is blocking the sun's the sun's rays from the people who are making the law from you know that's the blessings of Allah Subhana wits and it's really hot, really difficult at the end of the day you're fasting as well.
Yet Allah subhanho wa Taala shading the people that are performing so often we ask Allah Subhana Allah to provide a similar shade for us on the day of judgment when the sun is shining down extremely hard, he provides a shade for us. And we know that this is glad tidings for us to Jenna in sha Allah, I mean, now,
Allah subhanho wa Taala then says he drives the clouds, then he brings them together, the clouds come together, then he makes them into a mess, they become thicker and thicker and thicker, and then you see the rain emerge from within. So the rain starts to come from the clouds, so there's moisture in the clouds, and he sends down from the sky, that rain comes down, but sometimes it comes down mountains within which is hail. So the clouds come really really thick like mountains hovering in the sky. And when you think of it somehow if we were to take all the hail that fell from the sky and lift it up, put it in one container and lift it up. Imagine all of that was contained within the
clouds somehow, all of that was there and the moisture had gathered and frozen came down. And Allah subhana wa tada brought it all down, and he strikes with that hail. Now this is an important part of the verse Allah subhanho wa Taala says he strikes with that hail those on the ground who he wills right some of them it hits them as some of them it doesn't. And the flash of lightning of its lightning almost takes away the eyesight. It's so bright that it's in the middle of night like Whoa, it's like a bright flash. You know, someone with their massive camera just flashes you in the eyes and like, well, I can't see anything until my eyesight is regained. Now what's really important to
understand here is Allah says that that hail will hit people who he wants and those that he doesn't want to hit, it won't hit. Imagine that the next time that rain falls on you a law prescribed for that raindrop and those droplets that fall on you or the snow that falls on you or the hail that falls on you. A law prescribes for that to come to you and only you no one else.
It's just like you're walking through the park the other day we're walking through the park.
There's a high school here that I teach at ISNA. It's no High School and some kind of law. You know, those students are awesome. They actually went on this. They had like a barbecue at a park a picnic at the park and my family and I we went because I teach them they invited me to come down for the picnic, so we went just to spend a little bit of time with them. And when we got there some had a lot of this bird flying in the sky poos and the food falls on my wife's head. She was wearing her hijab right fell on her head and she's like on a bird pooped on me so kinda you know what I'm like cleaning it and I know she's watching this right now she's like, I can't believe you're telling
people this right? But somehow that fell on her head. That was from Allah subhana wa tada like imagine it could have fallen on my head. It could have fallen on the ground. It could have fallen anywhere but Allah subhana wa tada wanted that bird to do its business and to fall on your head, some kind of law. So the drink the rain that falls you know the snow that falls the hail that falls from the sky. Whatever happens to us even the smallest thing you might be looking outside you see, you know, you may have received this beautiful bouquet of flowers from your husband and all of a sudden in the first day, one of the flowers not even a petal of the flower one of the roses just
breaks off and falls down. You're like oh my god, you just bought it for me what happened that Allah subhana wa tada wanted that to happen. He wanted that to happen. So somehow we learned about the greatness of Allah subhana wa tada here. For those that are just tuning in right now.
I'm going to remind you again, our mustard is hosting a multi faith sort of gathering. And it's thought today with various different
religions, people of different religions. So they asked me to not have the halaqa in the mustard today that fcf class so I decided to simply do it from home at a time that was not simultaneous to the event that's happening in the masjid so that those that attend in the mustard they can also attend over there and benefit from that as well. That's why I'm doing it earlier. So those that are doing it earlier.
That is why I'm doing that. And I don't want the two to conflict so that those that attend the Hanukkah can also go to the masjid and attend which is starting now at seven o'clock anyways, but I'm going to continue We have no time constraints and chama Hollis, we will move on in sha Allah hota Hana vs number 58 to 60 versus 58 to 60 of soda to newer. Oh you have believed Yeah, you're Latina I'm gonna let those when your right hands possess and those who have not yet reached puberty among you ask permission of you before entering at three times so Allah subhana wa tada our time we don't have slaves we have maids or servants not here in Canada I'm gonna have no major servants we can't afford it right? But I know like in, in Malaysia where I used to live people have maids they have people that help them around the house people have gardeners, they have chefs, they have cooks, etc. When I was in South Africa, Subhana Allah, you know, people have
people that help them in the homes, maids, etc. that will serve them their food and so on cook it is beautiful. It's kind of like this is you know, those that allow had blessed to have that and have the ability to look after other people, provide a job for them and also keep them in their homes and feed them good food and take care of them. That's a blessing from Allah. But here Allah subhana wa tada shows us that you have servants, maybe within your home, and you might have children who have not reached the age of puberty, teach them that there are three times in the day three times where they have to seek your permission before entering upon your rooms or entering into your rooms. For
example,
you have two children, right? There are three times that Allah Subhana Allah mentions, if they want to enter the room of their mother and father, they have to ask permission before entering during those three times. Those three times are mentioned here in the verse, Allah subhana wa tada shows us before the dawn prayer, when you set aside your clothing to rest in the afternoon, which is the Lula time, and the Knights prayer after the night prayer, which is after a shot. Now you'll notice that these are the three times during the day when someone will go to rest, someone will go to rest or someone will just be in the privacy of the room. And and we know what happens in the privacy of the
room of people that are married, right? So we ask Allah subhana wa tada to make those youth that are watching understand this capacity that their parents will not be upset with them.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us here.
The first time is before the dawn prayer before fudger.
Now before funjet is a time where you know you're still in bed, you're getting out of bed and you might want to have relations with your spouse. And so Allah subhana wa tada teaches us that our children and the people that serve us inside of our homes, whether you have a maid or a servant, etc, they should never ever enter upon you at this time. Because it's a time of privacy a time where you might be you know with your spouse alone and you don't want to be disturbed. That's the first time the second time is when you set your clothing aside as a loss of time without dimensions to rest at noon and this is the A Lula time. Usually in the afternoon we take a Lula today in Spain in
different parts of Europe it's still being practiced also in in Medina when I was a student when I went there, they would take a Lula in the afternoon which is the afternoon siesta, what we call a siesta, a nap in the afternoon. And now's like why do people sleep in the middle of the day? Like we can't do this. It's strange. Like how are you productive if you sleep in the middle of the day, this panel you realize, especially in the hot climates, you feel re energized if you have a simple 1015 minute break or you're just resting you're not sleeping but you're resting. You just you know you relax, you rest. You take off your formal clothing, right that's why Allah subhana wa, tada shows,
as you remove your clothing, you set your clothing aside, you were at work, maybe you come home to take a little siesta, you're not going to take a nap in your suit, you're not going to take a nap in your clothing that you wear outside because it's going to get all wrinkled, you're going to need to iron it again. And so a lot of handling data shows us you put your clothing aside, you take a nap. That's another time of the day when our children or our you know, maids or servants whoever's with us, should not disturb us. And the third time is after the night prayer, which is obviously after you know that a shot and you go to sleep, you're at home in your room, as husband and wife. And so
Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us how beautiful you know, our Deen is that we actually seek permission from those that we live with in our home before we enter the room so that they can have privacy as well. Right and that's that's important. That's part of our DNA.
Three times a pregnancy for you as a loss of Hannah with Anna says and then he says there is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these periods. So any of the other times of the day, if you're doing something and they come in and see that you're you know, you're doing something that you wanted privacy but they walked in, because it's not one of these three times it's okay there's nothing upon you. Just you know, seek forgiveness from each other and ask Allah subhana wa tada to forgive you. Excuse yourselves and leave and that's it. That's the end of it. So Pamela, and look at how our Deen goes into detail and a lot of people say, Oh, you know what, don't talk about this.
Don't say this. Don't say that. Our Deen teaches us this stuff. We need to learn it if we don't learn it. So kind of love. We're restricting part of the deen. We're saying oh because I feel this is a taboo topic.
Not you know capable as an adult to talk about these topics. I'm not going to talk about it. No, we should talk about it. This is what I lost handle with Adam mentioned for us in the Quran. What's wrong with it? We're not allowed to speak about this. So
yeah, let's move on in sha Allah so Allah subhanho wa Taala then also mentions
You know, there's nothing wrong if they no blame upon you for they continually circulate among you. So your maid might come in and out of your room regularly to maybe put your clothing do your laundry, whatever it is, your children will come in, you know, and play and so on. There's nothing wrong with that. That's a lot makes clear to you the verses and allows all knowing all wise, let's move on in sha Allah Tada. It's very hard to speak at this time of the day for this long. So I'm going to pause for a moment if you don't mind.
Okay, this minute, let's move on. We've been going for an hour and 20 minutes and we will continue Remember I said I want to catch up
from where we left off. So Allah subhana wa tada shows us now in Surah Al Furqan.
In surah Furqan.
Actually, there's another point that I that I forgot to mention that we left out, we only covered verse number 58. And I said verse 58, to 60. It goes on to show us how Allah subhanho wa Taala teaches us that an elderly woman, a woman who's gone through that stage in her life, the midlife crisis stage, right?
She's past menopause.
At that point in her life, she's not really you know, she's not seeking young love or anything of that sort. And this is why we see you know, our grandmothers some kind of law, sometimes they're not wearing their hijab as properly as they should be wearing it or as properly as a woman should be wearing it. And that's because Allah allowed them to do that. A lot allows them to not be so picky in the way that they cover themselves. If they don't want to wear they don't feel comfortable, it's difficult for them to wear their eye by an outside. There's nothing wrong with that Allah subhana wa tada discusses that here. And we learn it through the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam an older, you know, man or an older woman doesn't need to be as particular because those emotions, those feelings, that's, you know, drive that's inside of them, you know, the sexual emotions that are constantly stirring inside of us are no longer there. They're not as strong. They might still be there, but they're not as strong. And so Allah subhana wa tada says, you know, you don't have to be so picky with this. Now, I say they're not as strong because they're still there. I remember when I was a student in Medina, I went to one of our teachers house and this teacher was at two years old.
And I went to his house and Pamela Medina, and he lived right next to mustard and
his,
his home was so simple, but when we went in, he had a he had a little daughter, and she was about two years old, just learning to walk, how about, you know, walking, stumbling here and there. And this Daughter of his was not even two years old yet. And remember I said he was 82 years old, and they had a child Subhana Allah so Allah blesses whom He wills with children at an age
that most of us would think they can't have children anymore, but Subhanallah he still had children, even at the age of, you know, 80 years old, his daughter was born Subhana Allah. So that's something that Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us You don't need to be as picky or particular particular with it. However, it is something that if you can do that's good for you and could be better. Let's move on to sort of three four con in sha Allah who tada we have a little bit more to go so let's go for con verse number one Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us that the for con, also known as the criterion is the Quran, which was given to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam. For con means the criterion
that's which is given to govern and show you the laws and how you're supposed to live. It's our user's manual, it's our users guide. It teaches us how to live as human beings. It is the Quran in verse number four to six, Allah tells us what the machete Coons say about the Quran. So he goes into detail showing us what they say about the Quran, we're not going to go into detail because you know, you could just read through it on your own what they say about the Quran. And then in verses number 17, to 19.
Sorry, seven to 14, Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us how they mark the profits on the longer I think he was sending them for being a typical men who eats who does business etc. He's just another human being. He's a typical men, and they're mocking the profits in the long run and he was sent them for being a typical man who eats who does business etc. But that's why Allah chose him to be the Prophet. And Allah sent prophets and messengers who were human beings and this is what Allah subhana wa shows on, that they were human beings just like you and if they were capable of living this way
Then you are as well, because if they were not human beings, okay, I have only a few minutes until the end of the live session, I think we're only allowed to do an hour and a half of live session. If I can renew it, hopefully I will. But let's see, I never knew that there was a time limit on it. So Allah Subhana, which Allah said, The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as a human being to show us that he was capable of living this way, we are also capable as well. So he's not an angel. He's not some superhuman, he's a human being just like you and I, in verses 17 to 19, the gods of the mushy Kuhn will disown those people on the Day of Judgment, those that worshipped Gods other than Allah
subhanho wa Taala. Those Gods will disown their
followers, those that worship them on the Day of Judgment, a simple example people who worship pious people that passed away who are dead in their graves who never ever asked a single person to ever come into worship them, but people worship them on the Day of Judgment this then before last kind of without its I never asked these people to worship me. I never asked them to worship me, right? So how are these people worshiping me? It wasn't me and some kind of law we see the example of Isa Allah Hassan Prophet Jesus, right, we say prophet because as believers as, as Muslims, we say that Jesus was a prophet of Allah subhanho wa Taala. He was even asked by Allah subhanho wa Taala, if he
ever told the people to worship him, and he said, No, I never asked the people to worship me. I am nothing more than someone who delivers the message to them. And I never asked him to worship me. And so those that worship Jesus, let them know that Jesus Himself himself declared that he never asked the people to worship me. In verse number, move on to verse number 25 to 29 have sought to report on Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the severity of the Day of Judgment,
the severity of the Day of Judgment.
And you could read that on your own but I'll read through a bit a bit. Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
I know it's gonna cut off soon. Why oh, Chuck was semma Allah subhana wa tada says and mentioned the day when the heaven will split open with emerging clouds and the angels will descend down in successive descent. True sovereignty that day is for the Most Merciful and it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult day. So Allah subhanho wa Taala describes
the the day of judgment
in verses 32 to 34, the wisdom in revealing the Quran in stages as mentioned, by Allah subhanho wa Taala and how he revealed the Quran in stages on purpose. So people used to mock the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and say, why is it that your God did not give you this entire Revelation the book itself in one chunk? Why is it that you know you only received part after part after part and that was the wisdom of Allah subhana wa tada he did that on purpose, so that we can receive the Quran in stages that we can actually practice it upon right practice upon. So imagine if Allah gave you today as a new Muslim, all of the Quran and it says here you have to do all of this today. You
accept Islam as a struggle in the lower echelon of Muhammad Rasulullah now you have to worship Allah subhana wa tada and the Imam says, By the way, because you accepted Islam today, you need to fast you need to pray five times a day you need to pay yourself out because the month of Ramadan is a month when everyone usually pays there's a cap, you need to go for Hajj Next, you know, in two months, which is coming up. So you need to have enough money for that. You also need to believe in the Day of Judgment. To do this, you need to do that you have to do all these things. And the person's like, Whoa, this is way too much to handle. How am I going to do that? This is why Allah
Subhana which Allah revealed the Quran in stages one stage at a time.
I'm going to stop there because we have a minute left. And I want to say that I will resume the live session. Because this ends and I believe I can start another session. Hopefully I hope Facebook doesn't limit it to an hour and a half in one day. But I will as soon as this ends, I will resume because we have a lot to cover.
