The host of a video discusses the history of the Battle of the trench and its use as a border between two mo baseline. They also talk about the importance of being a good leader and respecting invitation. The segment emphasizes the importance of praying and not harming others, as well as the importance of following the advice of others and not seeking the reward of the person who caused harm.

00:02:54 -->
00:03:04
Is it okay to observe the odd nights on different nights for different countries and observing every
night to be safe, so it is good to observe every night to be safe. And it's not that there are other
countries that are observing tonight.
00:03:06 -->
00:03:45
There are people in the same cities that are observing it on the event on on a different night. So
for example, half of Milton or a good part of Milton is considering tonight to be the 21st night
because they started one day after the masjid so for them it will be the 21st night tonight for us
is the 22nd night for so if anyone wants to continue doing everybody remember the profits are longer
I'd even send them continue to do everybody throughout all of the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Okay.
All right, I'm gonna put this down because I'm getting a cramp in my head. Okay, so we're going to
continue in sha Allah yesterday we left off at sort of,
00:03:46 -->
00:04:10
we didn't get into it. So I really want to take a couple of lessons from sort of to serve in sha
Allah to Allah and then we'll go through the 20 seconds just we are going to conclude today by
beginning soon seen the theme is Surah in all of our Indian Pakistani cultural background, so the
scene right it's like you grew up on the scene. Probably one of the first of all as you heard so
often, right? So I seen
00:04:15 -->
00:04:23
Okay, so once you enter the amount of one go to next check around 7pm All right. So take note of
that in shallow get it checked for you does not come alone for letting us know.
00:04:25 -->
00:04:42
Okay, so soda, which is titled The Confederates, soda, that is basically the soda that teaches us
about or you know versus within it revealed pertaining to the Battle of the trench 100.
00:04:45 -->
00:04:46
Very interesting story
00:04:48 -->
00:04:59
of what took place during the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, mostly when we're
coming to attack the Muslims of Medina and they were coming right up to Medina to attack them. And
so the prophet SAW along there, and he
00:05:00 -->
00:05:32
Send them felt, you know, we need to block off the city of Medina we need to do something who knows
which one of the companions let's test your knowledge which one of the companions gave the advice to
the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam with regards to building a trench who told the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam about the idea or gave him the idea to build a trench blocking the city
of Medina terminal wa type it in the comment section. That's you. Who knows? Let's see. Let's see
who gets this one first.
00:05:33 -->
00:05:37
I'm going to lift this phone once again. Forgive me for that.
00:05:39 -->
00:05:52
Okay, Union spa hamdulillah union spa had got it first settleman and 30 C. Okay, so man in faricy
was this hobby that advise the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that it would be wise to build a
trench
00:05:53 -->
00:06:37
in order to block the most of ikhwan from penetrating in towards the city of Medina Tijuana, for
those of you that go for Hajj Ramadan, nowadays, whenever we take you to Medina, we always drive
down this streets known as Subbu. And massage it, it's leading up to this the mountain where there's
seven, you know, massage it and that's where there were posts, so seven different posts, or lookout
points where Sahaba were stationed during that time in the trench started from there and went all
the way to mount. So it was very, very far we actually show you when we're driving in the bus like
right now you are driving over the area where the trench was, but the Battle of the trench or took
00:06:37 -->
00:06:43
place in the fifth year after the edge of of the profits and along there it was send them during the
month of show one
00:06:44 -->
00:06:58
and interesting story as to what took place there to keep it very short. You know, the motion
coordinate came in large numbers and the moon ethical and the hypocrites of Medina, they were
discouraging the Muslims of Medina to actually go. And
00:07:00 -->
00:07:08
it's really interesting because I just I see a message that comes up and it says, ASAP said I'm
ready to come. Okay, so I'm gonna ask my wife to do something.
00:07:18 -->
00:07:51
All right. So I'm live streaming, obviously, I have my phones, right. And so I've had a lot my
messages pop up. And whenever I see something ASAP, or urgent, you know, it always catches, you'll
notice sometimes where I'm like, Okay, he's not really focused right now. Like, he just lost his
focus. And that's because messages pop up. And then I see them and it's like, I want to take action,
because that's just something my wife knows whenever somebody comes in them message, something needs
to be done to respond to it. But I can't wait to live streaming because my phone is being used. I
can't just pick it up and pretend like I'm talking to you and message with my hands down here
00:07:51 -->
00:07:54
because I just can't do that my phone is being used
00:07:55 -->
00:08:27
to do that. Alright, make sure you get confirmation that he got what he's asking for. All right. So
the Battle of the trench. So then in fantasy tells the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you know
what, this is something that I've learned in my travels and expeditions and so on, they build this
trench and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam ordered for the trench to be dug it was very
difficult. We see in you know, stories about it, the Sahaba were like, you know, beating the Duff
and encouraging each other to keep digging and keep, you know, working hard to build the trench. So
it was very, very difficult for the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam.
00:08:30 -->
00:08:33
And for the Sahaba of the lower abdomen, but the machete coup and the
00:08:34 -->
00:09:10
you know, the the non Muslims, they were large in number, and the Muslims, were starting to dwindle
in number because the one ethnic one, right, the hypocrites they were discouraging, the Muslims are
saying, Listen, if they're coming to attack us here, and we need to flee like, this is really
dangerous. What's happening right now, this is not a normal battle where, you know, the two parties
go out away from their cities, and they, they they basically get it out in the middle of nowhere,
and the cities and towns are left untouched. This was like, you know, our city is coming to be
attacked. And so the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, you know, he buckled down, he continued to
00:09:10 -->
00:09:14
encourage the Sahaba of the llama unknown. We know the famous story of like a rock that was there,
00:09:16 -->
00:09:51
or a big boulder and the profits in the long run even sent him struck it three times with his sword
and cracked it. You know, all of these things have miracles from a lesson handling with data. But
what happens there is that this trench is built and heavy, heavy winds came. So when the machete
wound, they got closer to Medina, they didn't actually attack because they were faced with this
trench. And then we're not going to jump into the trench because the trench means there's archers
that are waiting and they're just going to launch arrows over and that's the end of it. Like you get
stuck in this trench, you can't come out, you're done. And so why would anyone put themselves in a
00:09:51 -->
00:10:00
bottleneck? That's basically like, the logic behind it. It's a bottleneck. You get in there, you're
gonna be stuck. You can't get out and you know, it's dangerous. So he quit.
00:10:01 -->
00:10:13
You know, had this, this trench dug, and it worked very well because it protected as a border
between two mountains, stopping the machine cone from coming into the city of Medina to Manila.
00:10:14 -->
00:10:49
And a loss of bandwidth and then sent very heavy winds. So everyone was huddled inside of their
tents, and they just couldn't come out because the wind was so strong, and it kept getting stronger
and stronger and stronger, and it was blowing everything away, it blew their provisions away, it
blew the, you know, many of the tents away, so the moose, raccoon, the non Muslims, they were having
a really difficult time just holding the grounds and staying where they were, where eventually they
got very discouraged, and they decided, you know, what, we're just going to fleet, this is
pointless, this isn't going to happen. And it was a bad decision, bad timing, nothing worked in
00:10:49 -->
00:11:12
their favor, and they ended up leaving without actually having that battle take place. So that's,
you know, something really interesting there that we've learned from this. This story, you know, the
hypocrites had a very strong impact upon many people of the city of Medina. And that's where, you
know, we see that there were, there was division amongst certain people,
00:11:14 -->
00:11:50
those who pretended that they believed in a loss of bandwidth and pretended that they were in
accordance with the profits of the law where it was them being the last and final messenger, but
they actually weren't and they were basically causing trouble and issues internally. And this was
one of the times that that actually affected them. You know, a decent amount, we move on then Allah
subhana wa tada shows us in verses number 2829. In fact, even before that, he's basically talking to
the wives of the prophets. And the longer it he was ended up, giving them you know, advice or giving
advice to the prophets along I need to send him about his wives.
00:11:51 -->
00:11:54
And I must have handled to Allah says, You're in verse number.
00:11:56 -->
00:12:29
Where we turn the page, verse number 28, Allah subhana wa tada says, oh, Prophet, see to your wife,
if you desire the life of this world, and it's luxury, then come, I will give you a compensation, as
in I will divorce you and give you a composite in compensation, and let you go graciously. But if
you desire Allah and His messenger and the everlasting home, in the hereafter jamna, then surely
Allah has prepared a great reward for those of you who do good. Now, this is advice to the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his wives,
00:12:30 -->
00:12:43
because they, you know, being married to the Prophet so long that even someone who's not like being
married to other people, right, you're married to the leader of the oma, you're married to a
messenger of Allah Subhana, WA, Tada.
00:12:44 -->
00:13:01
You're married to, you know, the prophets of Allah subhanho wa Taala, as well. And it's extremely
difficult to go through what he's going to put you through, right, he will put himself through a lot
of hardship. And that's because he was showing a good example to others, he would also put himself
through hardship, because
00:13:02 -->
00:13:43
it, it's only befitting for a leader to be the one who goes through the hardships more than everyone
else. And that's because you need to lead by example, I was talking about this yesterday, I believe,
right, we need to lead by example, we have to be people that show others the right way. And anyone
who's in a position of leadership will need to basically take a hit for it. For example, you know,
anyone who owns a company right now, or owns a business, you know, their employees may not be coming
in whether they're getting paid or not, I don't know, that's not part of the example. But the point
there is that if you own a business, you're probably going to be showing up at your business, even
00:13:43 -->
00:14:09
though your employees are not showing up. Right, you're going to be there because it's your
business, you have a vested interest in it. And you need to look after certain things that your
employees don't you need to pay bills, you need to feed, you know, families, you need to make sure
things go right. And so that's absolutely important, you know, for a leader to lead by example. So
the profits in the long run either usnm is told by a loss of hanway data to tell his wives
00:14:13 -->
00:14:16
to tell his wives if you desire,
00:14:17 -->
00:14:55
this life and the luxuries of this life, then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Will you know
divorce you and give you some sort of compensation for it right? And you can live your life enjoying
this, you know, the luxuries and whatever you get from this life, or if you're ready to put up with
the sacrifice of being the wife of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and going through certain
hardships and you know sacrificing not having him around for days on end months on end sometimes
then this middle get ready because it's going to be a rough ride but the reward is great. Almost a
penalty to add it then shows them in the next few verses. We're not going to take all of them you
00:14:55 -->
00:15:00
know the their punishment if they do wrong is doubled. Right? Not like forever
00:15:00 -->
00:15:16
Our punishment is singled but they're done, their punishment is doubled. Right? And so Allah
Subhana, which Allah lets them know that look, you are living a different kind of lifestyle. You are
someone who's linked to the Messenger of Allah
00:15:17 -->
00:15:52
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you need to be in that position. Understanding that life is not going
to be easy. It's not going to be simple. It's not going to be the same as everyone else. When the
profits on the long run, I think he was someone was asked from people for certain things, he gave it
to them, someone came in complimented his clothing that he was wearing. And he went in, he borrowed
clothing, and he gave his clothing away. And then he had no clothing to wear, he was wearing
borrowed clothing. Can you imagine, none of us would do that we wouldn't go and borrow clothing, to
give away our clothing to others, we would buy new clothing and give away the old stuff. But the
00:15:52 -->
00:16:09
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam would give away the new stuff, give away the things that he got
that he loved, and he cherished, or was recently given to him, because someone else wanted it or
someone else needed it. And so that's an example of how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
sacrifices are different than those of you and I,
00:16:10 -->
00:16:49
he then says, Allah Subhana, Allah, you know, gives more and more advice to the wives of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam as to how they are to be, you know, they they are not to, you know, try
to change their their voices or speak in a way that is inviting others, you know, or speak in a way
that is maybe seducing they are not supposed to have a beverage, no flirtatious walking, you know,
they're too, they are to basically be an example as well, if you're going to be married to the
Prophet sallallahu, I need to send them and he's a leader and he has to, he has to lead by example,
you are also going to have to lead by example. And this is why we see that many of the Hadith that
00:16:49 -->
00:17:27
have been narrated to us came from actually the wives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
his family members, his close friends, because they spent a lot of time around him. And you need to
be a person of honor to be entrusted with that. And Allah subhana wa Tada, let them know this. And
if you're ready for the ride, this will love because lots of people are going to learn about you and
your life. Imagine all of the privacy of the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam were
supposed to keep our private life private, right, but certain things that are even intimate within
the life of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam were made public to you and I, so we know about it.
00:17:27 -->
00:18:07
Because that's how that's how we are to learn, right? And so lots of Henry to animate it such that
the wives of the Prophet salallahu alayhi, wasallam, were conveyors of the deen as well as in they
also taught us about the deen in certain ways that we would have never have known of, but because
they were around the Prophet sallallahu. And he was send them so often, especially at times when he
was at home in the privacy of his home, or you know, intimate relations with his family, we got to
learn about those things, and how we are to behave or how we are not to behave with our spouse and
family, and so on and so forth. And so that's a great honor to the wives of the Prophet sallallahu
00:18:07 -->
00:18:08
alayhi wa sallam.
00:18:09 -->
00:18:47
But it teaches us a few things, my brothers and sisters, that we look towards them, for example, as
well, right? We look towards them, for example, we look to the Prophet sallallahu, I didn't know
send him how he dealt with his wives, how he lived with them, and what they tell us of what happened
within the household of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam. We then see in verse number 40, Allah
subhanho wa Taala shows us that the prophets on the one where it was Sunday, Mohammed is not the
father of any men. Right? So there is no men out there that can say I'm the son of Mohammed, and I'm
going to inherit his prophethood No, Allah made it such that none of his children who were boys
00:18:47 -->
00:18:52
survived to become a men right, survive long enough to become a men.
00:18:54 -->
00:19:07
So Allah says Mohammed is not the father of any of your men, but is the Messenger of Allah and the
CEO of prophets. And a law has perfect knowledge of all things. He then says, Yeah, you're Latina,
urbanos Guru.
00:19:08 -->
00:19:50
Sorry, yeah. And you are Latina omen. We've got a lot of Vikram kathira. Once that be who booked on
us? Lila, almost hanway. Johanna says oh believers always remember Allah often. Always remember
Allah often will be her who booked us Leila and glorify Him morning and evening. So it's important
for us to constantly be in this connection with a Muslim Han who wants to glorify a loss of data.
And I'll tell you this as an example, and it's something that I admire and cherish and wish that I
did more as much as I tried to do it. I wish I did it a lot more is to first of all, either
constantly be reciting the Quran. So when you're walking around, you know, whatever pops into your
00:19:50 -->
00:19:55
head shouldn't be like the latest song or the latest album. You know, it should be Quranic vibes.
00:19:57 -->
00:19:59
giving a lecture the other day was that most of it and they call it
00:20:00 -->
00:20:01
What are any fights?
00:20:02 -->
00:20:42
What should pop into our head is something that is linked to a loss of data. So it's either or it's
right or you'll notice how you know. And like I was saying, this is something I admire in some of
our teachers, and some of some of my colleagues as well, who I know they are constantly busy in the
praise of Allah subhanho wa Taala or sending Peace and blessings upon the Prophet salallahu alayhi
wa sallam like constantly constantly, there'll be walking in there doing it and they're sitting with
people and you can see that their mouth is moving. Right? And so so Pamela is it's very admirable.
It's something absolutely nice and beautiful. And we need to be doing this Allah Subhana Allah says,
00:20:42 -->
00:21:19
Yeah, and you handed in a medal with Kuru law has the Quran kathira remember Allah always so you
might be seeing some hon Allah will be handy, he somehow Allah hit him, or a stone field law, when
you're doing is still fun, you're actually remembering a lot. It's a type of ticket. It's a type of
remembrance of Allah, you're asking Allah Subhana Allah for forgiveness. So I still put a lot of
stuff in a lot of stuff that a lot or some how to love would be handy subhana wa VM or a lot of
Muslim us anymore. baddeck and so you didn't want to be in a Mohammed rather earlier somebody was
sending him a lot of money, Allah Mohammed Allahumma salli ala Muhammad,
00:21:20 -->
00:21:57
right? Simple things that we can say. absolutely important to be busy in the remembrance of Allah
subhana wa tada was somebody who could attend what else leader, my brothers and sisters, one of the
best ways to seek protection from the evils that are out there is to remember Allah subhanho wa
Taala in the morning in the evening, okay, the morning in the evening is absolutely important. The
other thing we see is that the changing of the guards, right, the changing of the angels happens in
the morning and in the evening, as well. So we need to be people that are conscious that look when
our book of deeds is opened, and the angels start writing in it. And then the next shift comes in
00:21:57 -->
00:22:36
turns the page, right? That shift begins with, oh, God was busy in the remembrance of Allah. And
when they're about to change shifts, again, at the bottom of the last page, write down who's busy in
the remembrance of Allah and then they turn the page and the next page begins with doubt is busy in
the remembrance of Allah. All right. So some how to love if we are to have that constantly in our
lives, where we are seeking out, you know, remembrance of Allah subhanho Medina and trying to make
it such that we are busy in his remembrance will have multiple times where the day and the evening
starts and ends with the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
00:22:38 -->
00:23:14
We also see my brothers and sisters, the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that if
a person preys on Aisha in JAMA, right, basically in the mustard in congregation, and pre selected
photo in the mustard in congregation, they get the reward of praying the entire net, as in having
done any better the whole night, right. It's as though they stood in every bed in theater all night
long. Now, of course, the massages are closed, and we don't have that luxury. We don't have that
freedom to do that now. But of course, we may have intended to do that. So a friend of mine messaged
me yesterday, and he was asking, you know, usually during the last 10 nights, I make it a point that
00:23:14 -->
00:23:52
I'm going to play a show, of course, almost all of us are praying as shown in the masjid during
Ramadan, but to also go back to the mustard for selective budget, and to be there for budget, why
his intention is, I need to sleep I need to go to work, but I want to seek out the reward as well.
So I want to do a little bit extra. So he forces themselves to go to the masjid for fun job during
the month of Ramadan, in particular, like during the last 10 nights, because he knows that he'll get
the reward of being awakened every bed all night long. And so he was asking me, I usually do that,
but this year, I can't do it. Should I make intention for it so that Allah can bless me, and it was
00:23:52 -->
00:24:21
reminding him, there's another Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam that mentions, when a
person is constantly doing something, as in, they are busy in a bed on a regular basis, they've made
a type of very bad habit for themselves in their lives. And this point in time in their life comes
with they're not able to actually fulfill that either or undo that action. A loss of Hannah Montana
still blesses them with it, even though they're not able to go about doing it. And I feel that
that's very important for our time that's relevant right now.
00:24:22 -->
00:24:53
Even though it may be referring more to old age, because we are you know, we're young, we're full of
energy, you know, we may be able to go and we want to go to the mustard, but we're not able to do
that. Right. And you notice last night I live stream from the mustard but today I'm back in my
house, because I'm trying to make sure that I lead by example, as well. And I don't just go and say
you know what, I have access to the mustard handler. I was there today because that's the place I
work from. So some of you go into work. I go into work, my workplaces, the mustard and hamdulillah
Sorry, I mean, you could have chose that.
00:24:54 -->
00:24:55
Could have chose that profession too.
00:24:56 -->
00:24:59
But the money isn't that great. So don't really you know, don't take that lightly.
00:25:00 -->
00:25:37
change if you're not able to make that sacrifice, right, but some kind of light, you know, you get
to go into the list if you go in and have the love, but at the times when the community is not able
to go, I try to stay away as well. I could go in for Juma. Right. But I don't go in for July 1 of
all we don't have a congregation. We don't have people there. And I choose not to I've personally
chosen not to. And I walked away from that position when our Massoud was making that decision. Why?
Because I want to make sure that when we lead we lead by example. And a good leader has to feel what
the people are feeling. Right? a good leader has to feel what the people are feeling. And if I'm not
00:25:37 -->
00:25:59
feeling that the hurt and the pain of not being able to go into the mustard like you all are feeling
as well, then how am I going to effectively be able to communicate with you and understand you. In
order for me to understand what you're going through, I have to also make those sacrifices. And
that's what we see in the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as well.
00:26:00 -->
00:26:05
So we a law tells us to glorify Him morning and evening. We then move on.
00:26:07 -->
00:26:23
Verse number 53, shows us the etiquettes of entering and spending time in the house of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Of course, we're not going to be doing that, right. We're not going into
the house of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we're not going and visiting him having dinner
at his home. But look at some of the things that Allah Subhana Allah shows us here.
00:26:24 -->
00:26:48
He says in verse number 53 of Sudoku, he says all believers do not enter the homes of the Prophet
without permission. And if you're invited for a meal, right, so do not enter without permission for
a meal, okay? Do not come too early, and linger until the meal is ready. So don't come early, and
just sit there and wait and waste time.
00:26:50 -->
00:27:02
But if you're invited, then enter as an enter on time, you were invited for six o'clock, then come
for six o'clock don't come for five, right five o'clock. Someone might be scrambling to clean the
house too.
00:27:03 -->
00:27:11
But if you are invited, then enter on time. Once you have eaten, then go on your way and do not stay
for casual talk.
00:27:12 -->
00:27:56
Such behavior is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is
never shy of the truth. And when you as in the believers, ask his wives for something, ask them from
behind a barrier. This is more pure for your hearts and for theirs. And it is not right for you to
annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major
offense in the sight of a lot. Why am I mentioning this the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
passed away his wife passed away. We are not going and visiting his home. We are not, you know,
sitting inside his house and eating dinner. Why am I mentioning this? I'll tell you.
00:27:58 -->
00:28:37
We learn the etiquette of visiting someone. Right the etiquette of visiting someone and spending
time with them. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when he would invite people over to his
home, he would prefer that they came on time and alone knew that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam would never ever make people feel uncomfortable. If someone asked him for something, he would
never say no. And so if people were coming to his home and sitting down having dinner and then
chatting Afterwards, he wouldn't kick them out, he would entertain them and be as nice a guest as
possible. But now it's on the invited guests to treat their hosts with respect. And you see this
00:28:37 -->
00:28:47
sometimes you go to someone's house, and you're invited. And the invitation may have been specific,
you're invited over for dinner between six and 8pm.
00:28:49 -->
00:29:23
So come for six and leave by eight. And at 930. We're still chilling in that person's house, or
we're still having coffee or something like that, you know, just talking and so on. That person may
have had somewhere to go and they're too shy, too embarrassed to actually ask us to leave. And so my
brothers and sisters, it's important for us to respect the invitation that is given to us now, if
someone is fine with it, and they're telling you No, no, it's fine. It's okay chill, like we were
gonna go somewhere but we're fine. We're okay. Or they say come and you can stay as long as you
want, then that's fine. But remember my brothers and sisters, the longer that we spend chatting and
00:29:23 -->
00:29:56
talking, sometimes we end up getting into things that are wrong. So make sure that when we are
spending time with friends and family, that we are not getting into anything that is home or
impermissible backbiting and so on and so forth. ask Allah Subhana which added to protect all of us.
So once you've eaten them, go on your way Allah Subhana Allah says that right those who come and
visit the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam leave after you're done eating, don't stay and spend
time Don't be like okay, where's the pull up, gentlemen? Where's the Buffy? Where's the ladoos?
Where's the jump, jump? Where's the Chai? right towards the flower. Where's the mango shakes? Right
00:29:56 -->
00:30:00
milkshake? Not no fake shake, real shake. No.
00:30:00 -->
00:30:32
Cake, right? Where's all that stuff. And so it's important for us to acknowledge the fact that the
person who invited us also needs their time to themselves. They invited us for a certain time or
between a certain time and hamdulillah. Someone says, come over to my house for lunch, and you come
for lunch, and it's summertime now and you're still at their house, maybe there's a problem. Unless,
you know, there's a really good relationship with that person. That's a completely different story.
We asked her about some headwinds added to strengthen our relationships with our friends and family.
I mean,
00:30:34 -->
00:30:58
then in verse number 70, and 71, Allah Subhana, which Allah gives us advice to speak the truth, or
in fact, the command Yeah, you're living in a terminal. It took a law will call you call and said
either, you will sleep on Arabella Kemal Fiedler from Zulu back home when the nuclear law What are
Sula who are called foes and avena. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, All you believe,
00:31:00 -->
00:31:48
be mindful of Allah be conscious of Allah subhana wa tada loku Colin said EDA and say what is right,
speak the truth, right? Say what is right, you will look on our nyla calm, He will bless your deeds
for you, and forgive your sins, right Allah Subhana Allah will bless your deeds use an eloquent way
of Fiddler on Zulu back home and he will forgive our sins that we've committed. So when we speak the
truth, when we see that which is good when we quote Hadeeth, and we talk about honesty and honor, or
we recite the poor, and the goodness that comes out of our mouths is also a means of our
forgiveness. When I'm feeling that comes through, become one of the nuclear illa Huwa Rasulullah,
00:31:48 -->
00:31:55
who and whoever obeys Allah, His Messenger has truly achieved a great victory for God,
00:31:56 -->
00:32:12
foals and alima right? It's like when you're watching soccer in Saudi Arabia or in an Arab country,
and you know, I don't know who Messi doesn't mess up and kicks the ball and it goes right into
what's that Portuguese player? What's his name?
00:32:13 -->
00:32:27
Ronaldo, is Ronaldo, right? He kicks the ball and it goes right into the goal. And then you hear
you're the announcer Oh, well, if you're watching in an Arab country, all you're going to hear is
that
00:32:32 -->
00:32:51
he scored. The goal is victory. Alhamdulillah. That's great. Right? And loss of habitat is showing
us victory is for us. If we speak the truth, speak the truth good, do good deeds, be mindful of
Allah Subhana Allah to Allah right? and say what is right, Allah Subhana which Allah will give us
the ultimate victory in the hereafter.
00:32:52 -->
00:33:07
Let's move on to the next one. Surah Sabah, which is known as Shiva, right? This place there was a
queen who live there. We spoke about it very briefly yesterday, I believe it was yesterday in the
story of Solomon or the day before.
00:33:08 -->
00:33:24
But we're going to look at the death of Prophet Solomon, because that's mentioned here last time, it
shows us how he passed away. And so they're not an adult, his senem he had some workers of the gym
and animals and so on. And they were working for him. They were digging and
00:33:25 -->
00:33:26
profits on a man.
00:33:28 -->
00:33:40
alley, his system. He used to have a staff, right that he would lean on while he was watching them
do their work, right. So he was leaning on his staff. And while he was leaning on his staff,
00:33:41 -->
00:33:43
and he was perfectly balanced.
00:33:45 -->
00:33:46
He passed away
00:33:47 -->
00:33:48
and he sent him
00:33:49 -->
00:33:59
but his eyes were open because you know, when someone passes away, their eyes are open. So he was
leaning on his stuff. And he passed away. And he was watching his workers.
00:34:08 -->
00:34:39
I'm still alive Alhamdulillah he was watching his workers. And while he was watching his workers and
his soul was taken away, his eyes stayed open and the workers from amongst the animals and the jinn.
They thought that he was still alive he was still watching them so they continue to work they
carried on to work. Allah subhana wa tada shows us here that the ends came over or termites came
over and they started to chew away at the bottom of his staff. And so what happens was he was
perfectly balanced and then when they chewed away at the bottom of it,
00:34:41 -->
00:34:53
it lost you know, the the balance was no longer centered, and profits so they met his son and fell
over. And that's when they finally realized oh, he passed away. He's not even alive. He passed away.
00:34:54 -->
00:35:00
There's a reason why this is so important. My brothers and sisters this story is so important
because
00:35:01 -->
00:35:16
Allah subhana wa tada is showing us that the jinn do not have the knowledge of the unseen. that
knowledge is with Allah Subhana Allah alone. And so the jinn they do not know the knowledge of the
unseen, okay? Allah subhanho wa Taala
00:35:18 -->
00:35:28
keeps that knowledge to himself. And he's making it a point here showing us indicating to us that
the jinn don't know this, right? And the example there is that it had they known
00:35:30 -->
00:36:05
the knowledge of the unseen had they known knowledge that us humans and some of the animals don't
know of, or the animals don't know, have, they would have known that profits on a learn Allah has
sent him had passed away, and they would have stopped their work. Right, but because they don't
know, they continue to work and so a lot prove something to us there and a simple example, and I
thought I would share that with us. Because a lot of people think that the jinn have knowledge of
the unseen, but they don't write they don't that knowledge is reserved only for Allah subhana wa
Tana and whoever he shares it with amongst the angels to carry out certain, you know, tasks and so
00:36:05 -->
00:36:09
on. We move on, verse number 15.
00:36:10 -->
00:36:30
In the very next verse, Allah Subhana, with Anna says, indeed, there was a sign for the tribe of
Shiva in their homeland, to orchard so he tells us about the people of Sabah and what they used to
do they used to worship, as we mentioned yesterday, seven stars, or seven planets I should say, was
it stars or planets?
00:36:35 -->
00:36:42
First my memory those of you that remember, stars or planets or planets or stars, so we're just
going to leave it at that, all right, but they used to worship
00:36:47 -->
00:36:47
on Sunday
00:36:49 -->
00:36:50
stars
00:36:51 -->
00:36:54
they used to worship that and
00:36:56 -->
00:37:03
Allah Subhana Allah, you know, sent that message through prophets. So Damon, of course, you know
that they shouldn't do this and the Queen and so on and so forth.
00:37:05 -->
00:37:39
We took that story already, which is why not going over it but a lot indicates to us that in their
homeland, they had these two orchards one on the right one on the left, and they were told to eat
from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to be thankful to a lot, don't just concern, but be
grateful do shook up to Allah subhana wa Tada. Yours is a good land and a forgiving Lord. Okay? So
be thankful to Allah on what he has given to you. But they turned away, and they refuse to worship
Allah subhanho wa Taala and submit. So Allah says, We sent against them
00:37:40 -->
00:38:26
a devastating flood, and replace the orchards with two others that were producing bitter fruit,
fruitless bushes, and a few, you know, thorny trees. So he removed that by sending lots and lots of
rain and it just destroyed the crop. They had nice fruits and vegetables and so on, and it was all
destroyed. And the loss of code data replaced it with something that was terrible and bitter and
nasty and that didn't have anything. And then he says, This is how we rewarded them for their
gratitude. would we ever punish anyone in such a way except the ungrateful? Okay, and this is a land
a region at that time traditionally, you know, at the time of Prophet Solomon Allah has sent him in
00:38:26 -->
00:38:30
the region of Yemen okay in the region of present day Yemen
00:38:33 -->
00:38:35
Alright, let's move to sort up faster.
00:38:36 -->
00:38:50
Okay, because we got to move quick Pamela we got to get to the scene and we need to finish on time.
So So I sort of felt the verse number one so I must have handled it add up calls this surah where am
I Where am I?
00:38:57 -->
00:38:58
There we go.
00:39:00 -->
00:39:07
Technology I'm swiping in my fingers isn't it's not moving. It's not moving. I don't think I have
enough water in me and my skin is too dry so my screen is not moving.
00:39:09 -->
00:39:21
So I thought that I lost some handling data begins Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim and hamdulillah he
felt that his similarity will geralyn manner he can do Rasulullah only as Nihad in methanol was last
00:39:23 -->
00:39:25
year z do feel helped him
00:39:26 -->
00:40:00
in the water and aqualisa in Kadir, Allah Subhana. Allah says All praise is for Allah, the
Originator of the heavens in the earth. So who is that and hamdu lillahi Leddy Alhamdulillah thought
that is somehow at so the originator that's the title of the surah, the Originator of the heavens in
the earth, who made the angels so this surah is also called sort of to melodica because it begins
talking about the angels who need angels as his messengers with wings, two, three or four
00:40:00 -->
00:40:06
And he increases in creation, whatever he wills, surely Allah is most capable of everything.
00:40:08 -->
00:40:47
Now here we see a loss of data pointing out the fact that he is able to do anything and has the
power and might inability to grant us, whatever he feels is best for us. And he can change the
creation as he wants, he can build and design the creation as he wants. And he can, you know, shape
it as as much as he wants as his own agenda. And so he gives us a simple example at the beginning of
this sutra. But we move on to verse number 12. Allah Subhana Allah indicates signs of his greatness
by showing us water and the power of water. And you know how we have freshwater and saltwater.
00:40:48 -->
00:41:01
And from amongst the freshwater and saltwater on Earth, forgive me, I need to plug in my laptop
battery's gonna die. I charge it multiple times a day now with working from home, and the battery is
getting weak.
00:41:05 -->
00:41:52
I hate doing this stuff while teaching, but it just it is the nature of the times that we're living
in. Alright, so a loss of handling data shows us freshwater and saltwater and the two of them come
together but they don't mix the freshwater and the saltwater doesn't mix. And then a loss of Henry's
added mentions one is fresh, palatable, and pleasant to drink. And the other is salty and bitter.
Yet from both of them, you eat tender seafood, a low, tender seafood, and extract ornaments to wear
right pearls that you can wear some kind of love from the ocean or the water. And you see the ships
plowing their way through both of them through the freshwater and then into the saltwater.
00:41:53 -->
00:42:31
So you may seek His bounty and give thanks to him. There's no you know, there's no difference the
ship goes through. And it just sails through saltwater, and it sails through freshwater, unless of
heavy data has given them that ability to keep the boat afloat. While at the same time the two
waters don't mix. It's a blessing from Allah subhana wa tada and a sign of his greatness. For those
of you that ever go to South Africa, go to Cape Town, just a little bit east of the cape, you'll be
able to see where the salt in the freshwater mixes. And it's amazing place to go to Panama. So
please do go and visit one day, if you have the ability to do so to do so. And I hope I get to go
00:42:31 -->
00:42:52
back to Cape Town sometime soon. Because there's the cape Malays there and book up, we need to go to
book up. And those of you that have not learned to travel and to learn history through travel, and
to learn about your deen through travel, then you will come with me one day and do so one of my good
friends. He actually came with me on a trip to Australia.
00:42:53 -->
00:43:25
He finished university and he was about to start working for a company and a few months and he
thought let me go and do some backpacking. And I was going to Australia for two weeks. And I told
him I said, Listen, if you're going to be in Southeast Asia, why don't you fly over to Australia and
stay in my hotel with me for two weeks? You know, don't worry about it. Don't worry about the cost.
Just make your way over to Australia and inshallah you know, we'll stay together. And we spent two
weeks together and we have this bond now kind of I feel like he's my brother. You know, we ate
together, we stayed in the room together went through things together, we experienced hardship
00:43:25 -->
00:43:59
together, we experienced happiness and joy together. And it was nice. It was absolutely amazing. We
got to explore and do things together. And so traveling is nice and traveling with someone is good
because you share good times and you build a bond and you you know you build friendships that you'll
always cherish for the rest of your life. But you will remember last time it's added together. You
wake up and you'll pray Salento photos together, you'll recite the Quran together, you'll be in the
car and you'll be learning Islam together. And that's absolutely amazing for us to do my brothers
and sisters, we learn that through the examples that are given to us in the Koran, the importance of
00:43:59 -->
00:44:22
going and traveling and seeing the power in the mind and the greatness of a loss of handle what to
add, then a lot brings us to verse number 27 and 28 how the perfect power of Allah subhana wa tada
is seen in his creation, known as rain, and then he brings it down for the produce and for the
mountains. We spoke about this, I'm not getting into that. But what I am going to highlight here is
in verse number 28
00:44:25 -->
00:44:27
or loss of Hannah, which Anna says
00:44:28 -->
00:44:30
to continue to do?
00:44:31 -->
00:44:59
Yes, he says and in the mountains are streaks of varying shades of white, red and Raven black, okay,
and he sent down this rain. And he says just as people, living beings and cattle are of various
colors as well, of all of Allah servants, only the knowledgeable of his might are truly in awe of
him on what is indeed Almighty and forgiving. You know, I wanted to bring up this idea. We're about
to eat. We're
00:45:00 -->
00:45:24
Going to have a start very soon in about 10 minutes right 11 minutes from now it's about here in
Milton and shot a lot of data and a lot of hand with Anna mentioned that we as human beings and the
creation all different kinds, all different colors and how do they love for us to cherish and enjoy?
And you'll notice when it comes to steaks and meats, they're beautiful steaks there are different
cuts some people like the tenderloin, some people like the T bone, some people like the
00:45:25 -->
00:45:53
all the different cuts of Hanawon. You know, so, enjoy it, enjoy the different kinds of meats.
There's the young meats, there's the older aged meat, there's the dry aged meat. There's the
tenderized meat, there's the one that is rare. That's the one that's medium rare. There's the one
that's well done. Enjoy it, I was telling us enjoy from the blessings that he's that he's given to
us on earth. And that's important for us to do. My brothers and sisters enjoy from what I'm also
paired with Anna has sent to us on this earth.
00:45:55 -->
00:46:33
And then he shows us inheritance of the Quran is of three types. As in there are three types of
believers who, you know, you're we're believers. And because we're believers, we have this book,
this guide, right? I've told you, it's always in front of me, right? We have this book. And somehow
Allah, Allah says here, then we granted the book to those we have chosen from our servants. So from
amongst all of us right now everyone that's watching from amongst us, we've been chosen to be the
people who follow this book, right? And we believe in it. And if anyone feels that they're not
chosen, then believe in the book, and you're from amongst the chosen ones as well. Right? submit to
00:46:33 -->
00:46:36
a loss of enemies, and you'll be from the chosen ones. Also. However,
00:46:39 -->
00:46:42
Allah mentions about this book, something really interesting, he says,
00:46:44 -->
00:47:10
some of them run themselves. So there's one category of people that will run themselves, they commit
sins, they they're Muslim, but they're going to commit sins. And so they receive the book and they
know of Islam, and they know of the book, but they still continue to commit sin and do wrong. And
some of them follow a middle course. Right? There are some, sometimes they're here sometimes do
there, it's, you know, it's okay. They're doing good and hamdulillah right there like
00:47:12 -->
00:47:46
the law, they're doing well. And then he says, and some are foremost in good deeds, bylaws will,
that is truly the greatest bounty. Right? So from amongst the believers, you're not going to have
someone who believes in Hamas, they're never going to commit a sin. And this is why when people say,
Oh, look, Muslims have done this, well, wait a second, that person may claim to be a Muslim. But
just because they do, it doesn't mean that we are all that way. We have some people that are very
good Muslims who will not go and harm others and do things. And then we have others that will say
that they're Muslim, but still do things that they shouldn't be doing. Right. So there are all
00:47:46 -->
00:47:58
different kinds of people out there who do different things. And it was apparently data shows us
even from amongst the believers, we will have those who do extremely well. And then we have those
who are in the middle. And then we have those who
00:48:00 -->
00:48:06
may have lost some hand with added strength and all of us and bring us closer to him. I mean, we
move to Surah Yaseen
00:48:08 -->
00:48:53
in Surah, Yaseen Allah subhana wa tada is showing us here at the very beginning, from verses number
one to seven that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was sent as a messenger to warn those that
we're doing wrong, right. And then in verse number 13, to 17, even after that 2025, a loss of
handling data gives us the story of the messengers that were sent. So he says, Give them an example,
oh, Prophet of the residents of a town, when the messengers came to them. We sent them two
messengers, but they rejected both of them. So we reinforced those two with a third one, a must send
a third messenger with a third. And they declared, we have already been sent.
00:48:54 -->
00:48:55
Sorry.
00:48:56 -->
00:49:04
And they declared, we have indeed been sent to you as messengers. So they all came to the people of
that town and said, We are messengers of God.
00:49:06 -->
00:49:52
The people replied to them, you are only humans like us. And the most compassionate has not revealed
anything, you are simply lying. So they're rejecting a loss of handle what to add and rejecting
those messengers that came with the command from Allah subhana wa, Tad, the messengers responded,
our Lord knows that we have truly been sent to you. And our Lord knows that we have truly been sent
to you. And our duty is only to deliver the message clearly. But what did the people do? They
rejected. And then from the farthest east of the city, and then came rushing, someone of knowledge
comes rushing and he advises his people. He says, Oh, my people follow the messengers. Follow those
00:49:52 -->
00:50:00
who asked no reward from you, and are rightly guided. They don't want anything from you in return.
They're not seeking wealth from you. They're not
00:50:00 -->
00:50:39
Seeking any you know favors from you, all they're doing is giving you good advice. That is sound
proper, you know authentic advice coming from a law, a message for you take it, why are you
rejecting it? And he says, follow those who asked no reward of you and are rightly guided? And why
should I not worship the one who has originated me, and to whom you will be returned? How could I
take besides him other gods whose intercession would not be of any benefit to me? nor could they
save me if the most compassionate Indeed, the most the most compassionate intended to harm me?
00:50:40 -->
00:51:03
Indeed, I would then be clear the astray as an I'm the last. And I do believe in your Lord, so
listen to me. So he's warning his people. Look, I'm from you. I follow what you follow, right? We
believe in the same Lord. But you need to listen to these messengers. They're telling us to behave
properly and to let go of the ways of the people of the past, but they killed him.

This is an example of how when someone is trying to convey a message that is pure and and right for
us and good for us as human beings to stay away from harm and stay away from things that are no good
stay away from things that will destroy us in society. And we reject that. And loss of handling data

righteous. That's exactly it. We've lost the person who's righteous they've returned to Allah and
has been given a status of honor with a loss of handle with Anna and we ask a lot to make us from

already haven't already been through it. And we ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to make us from
amongst those who enter into the gates of Allah Yun happy seeing the face of a loss of handle which
Allah mean, your banana mean, which is a common level haven for some level was in limbo about Okay,
